CHAPTER THREE

Months have passed. And it is finally September. Nate, Meg, and lavender walked past the 9 3/4 wall that led to the train. As they stepped onto the other side, lavender looked at the train in awe.Wow. It's bigger then i thought. Ok. Now I need to find if we have a certain place to sit or are they going with their friends. Probably.Lavender soon got into the train and as she predicted, her siblings went to their friends. She walked down the length of the train until she finally found an empty cabin.

Looks like the other cabins are empty. Yippy me.Lavender put her things up onto the overhead compartments and placed Sapian next to her. She stared out the window to see all the parents' saying goodbye to their children as the train started to get ready to go. Lavender sighed as she knew that her parents would never be there to say goodbye or welcome them home.

She was soon brought out of her daydream as soon as she heard someone bumped into the door that led to her cabin. Lavender got up to investigate what was going on and as she opened the to see that a boy with Light brown hair and green eyes on the floor, as two other boys, one had black longish hair that stopped at his shoulders and gray eyes. And the other had jet-black hair that went everywhere, with hazel eyes and round glasses, towered over the boy on the floor. Rage filled lavender because she saw a small boy being bullied on the first day of school.

"Leave him alone" said lavender as she brought out her wand, knowing that she knows one spell.

"Oh look. Someone trying to protect you loopy. Maybe you will understand that you are just crazy." The hazel eyed boy sneered.

"The only one I see who is crazy is you. Now leave him alone. He didn't do anything to you." Lavender said. Holding her want threateningly.

The two boys backed up a bit after seeing that she wasn't going to back down.

"Fine. But you are both crazy." Said the boy with gray eyes.

"I rather be crazy then stand a side and watch a person get bullied." Lavender retorted.

The two boys went back into the cabin that they claimed already. She then reached out her hand to the boy on the ground and she helped him get into her cabin.

"Thank you" the small boy said quietly.

"No problem. They shouldn't have done that. It isn't right." Lavender said as she moved whatever belongings he had, which wasn't much.

"My name is Remus Lupin by the way." The boy Remus said in a hushed voice.

"Names Lavender Ambrosius."

"Wait. As in the Ambrosius family?" Lupin said as his eyes widened.

Lavender gave a small chuckle at how that was what he first realized. "Yes. But I don't think it is a big deal being related to them."

"Well, I don't know much about the Ambrosius family, but I do know that that family is related to Marlin."

They continued to talk about the different families of the wizarding world, which they then started to talk about Hogwarts and the different houses.

"So, what are the different houses," Remus asked? "Well, there is Ravenclaw. They are the smart ones. Gryffindor, the brave ones. Hufflepuff, loyal and they also are the ones that are the nicest. And then the Slytherins, all I know is that they are the ones that are ambitious. My brother is a Ravenclaw, and my sister is a Gryffindor. So, I have no idea what I will be. Of course, anything could happen because a lot of my family was in different houses so I guess it will be hard for which one I am in." Lavender finished talking and realized that she rambled a bit. "Sorry about me just talking about my family. So, what house do you think?"

"Well, I don't think I will be in Slytherin, and I definitely won't be in Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. I guess I'm hoping for Hufflepuff. Hopefully I'm not put into the house with those two boys from before."

"Well if you do, I'll still be there to help you if you need." Lavender said giving the small boy a smile.

"Thanks. At least now I know that I have at least one friend. But what if you are put into a different house?"

"Then we'll find a safe place for us to meet, and we could just talk and see how each other are doing. And if they do hurt you then I'll hurt them back."

The train ride was just them talking about the new year, but lavender did leave something out from the conversation, but she will make sure that nothing goes wrong and then everything will be alright after Christmas. After a while they heard something being wheeled past the door and then the door opened. Standing outside was a woman with a trolley with different goodies.

"Anything off the trolley dearie" the woman asked?

"No thank you" Remus said with a hint of sadness.

"Ok and how about you dearie?"

After buying a few different snacks the woman then asked the boys from before if they wanted anything. Lavender got up to close the door when she noticed the boy with the long black hair with the gray eyes staring at her, with the most hatted look that anyone could give off, well not the most, but still it scared her neither the less. But she wouldn't show that she was scared to the boy that was a bit taller than her. She closed the door and went back to her seat.

"You know you can take anything. That is why I bought it."

"Really!? But I thought you bought it for yourself?"

"Nope" she said popping the p, "it is for us to share."

"T-thanks" he said as he picked up the chocolate frog.

Eventually lavender got up and grabbed her new black robes and said that they better get changed before they arrive to Hogwarts. She opened the door and the closed it as she walked down the corridor, trying to find a bathroom or a changing room.

A few minutes later Lavender finally finished getting changed and she now had the Hogwarts school uniform on and her regular cloths in her hands. She walked back to the cabin with her new friend. But of course, she had to run in with the boys from the cabin next to her's. But this time there was one other. He had blondish hair, and he was a bit short from the other two and he was a bit of weight to him.

"Get out of my way" lavender said as she tried to push past them.

"I don't think so. I don't understand why you would be friends with someone like him?" The tall one with the round glasses.

"Because I want to be friends with Remus and so far, you haven't made a great impression. So, I do not see the reason to be friends with you."

"How dare you talk to me like that. Do you know who I am?" The boy with the gray eyes asked.

"No and I don't care." Lavender said bluntly, even if she was lying.

"Well, I am Sirius Black. Of the Black family."

"Wow. So impressive. Not"

She could see the anger raiding off the boy named Sirius. She knew all about the Black family because her father worked with the Blacks at different points in his life. To her all she thought of the Blacks as uncaring, cruel, and nasty people.

"What made you not like Remus?"

"Because I heard him talking to himself and he was rude to my family," said the taller boy.

"What is wrong with talking to yourself? It doesn't make you crazy. And maybe your family deserved it."

As she said this, lavender pushed past them and went to her cabin. She could hear them talking about her until she was onto the other part of the train and back into the cabin. As she entered, she noticed that Remus had his uniform on and was talking to Sapien.

"This is a really beautiful owl you have." Remus said. "Thanks. Got him as a gift. So, what animal do you have?"

"I wasn't able to get any because I didn't have enough money to get one." He said in a low voice.

"Well, that is ok. If you have any mail that you would like to send. You could always borrow Sapien."

"Re-really? Thank you."

"No problem." Lavender said smiling.
