Chapter 33

What Colour is Your Clean Suit?

Venture Compound

It was just a normal day for the Venture group, what with Brock investigating Molotov's death, seeing as Naruto had told him about the whole "no-body" thing, he became determined to find out the truth, as for Rusty, after making excuses with his brother about plasma shields for his space station, as well as waking up next to a fly monster, more than likely Rusty had tried to "improve" his serum, but ended up with the same results, while screaming his head off at the sight of her.

As for Naruto, he'd just dropped off Sheila at her place, "Thanks again for dropping me off, I actually had fun killing those fly monsters, guess it's a good thing that they were assassins and not "innocent" escort women, otherwise the guild and O.S.I. would be all over that." She states while giving Naruto a slight peck on the cheek in gratitude.

Naruto just smiled, "It's fine, at least we can chalk it up to a "hero/villain team up" thing, even though it was the "hero's" fault for starting that whole thing." He joked back in good humor, causing Sheila to chuckle as well.

She then leaned towards his ear, "Also who knew you were that big~" She states in a teasing way, though chuckles again at seeing his blush, since she was very "handsy" on the ride over on Naruto's motorbike, "Well have a good day Naruto, see you later." With that she walked away.

Though as Naruto got ready "Thump!" A dart was shot into his neck, making Naruto pause for a second, then pulled it out from his neck, noticing it was one of the Monarch's darts, where he looks up, noticing the guy trying to crouch down to hide from Naruto, but his wings were showing, "Serious dude, I bring your wife home and you shoot me with a dart, talk about a douche move, also, you should know by now that none of that shit works on me, (sigh!) Sheila, I'll see you on our next coffee meet-up, though be sure to punish your husband for the dick move he just did, maybe use the (shudder!) "big one" on him this time!" Naruto calls out, though making himself clench at such a thing, but being thankful that HE was always the top of his sexlife.

As for Sheila, after she had told her husband off for shooting a dart at her friend, though questioned him about staying up all night, where she soon realised that he believes that #21, Gary, would return, even though the guy had pretty much stated that he quit in front of everyone, but The Monarch was in denial at believing his "number one" top henchmen had quit on him.

Speaking of Gary, turns out he was "promoted" to the whole Sphinx agency, seeing as Brock and the other renegade agents were no longer classed as rogue agents anymore, so Brock had passed Gary the keys for the place, though he did look back, "Are ya sure you don't want to join us Naruto, I mean, you've still got your agent card and everything, you can still join up with us." Brock quickly asks, wanting to spend more time with his son after only just getting him back.

Naruto just smiles in return, "Thanks for the offer dad, but no, I think I'll stick around here for the time being, you know, make sure the Venture family don't get into too much trouble, also, don't forget, I'm not into the whole "following orders" thing, since I still think O.S.I. stands for Old. Stupid. Idiots." Naruto answered back, causing Brock to snort at his son's reply.

"But hey, if ever you get a chance to have a break from the agency, feel free to visit, we can go on our own adventure next time, it'll be a nice father/son bonding experience." Naruto quickly states as the O.S.I. plane was about to take off.

Brock smiled after hearing that, "SURE IT'LL BE A NICE TRIP TOGETHER, SINCE WE DIDN'T GET TO GO ON THAT FATHER/SON ROAD TRIP!" With that he was gone.

With Gary next to Naruto, watching Brock and his group leave, "Um, say Naruto, do you mind if I work with you guys from time to time, I think I'll give this whole "hero" thing a try, if that's okay." Gary couldn't help but ask.

Naruto just shrugs his shoulders, "Sure, but you'll have to follow orders from me and Hatred, while offering at least some advice from time to time." Naruto states while walking away, with Gary following after him, while also thanking Naruto for hooking him up the night before with one of the escorts, though hearing this, Naruto first questioned him if she had turned into a fly monster, with him denying it, followed by Naruto explaining what had happened and why he had asked.

"Wait, you mean to tell me that I'd slept with an assassin last night, AND didn't get killed! How awesome was that!" Gary couldn't help but exclaim, causing Naruto to chuckle.

"Which part, the part where she didn't turn into a fly monster, the part where you didn't get killed, or the part where you got laid."Naruto couldn't help but question the guy.

"Um, how about, ALL OF THE ABOVE! I just can't believe my luck with all three of those things, I guess my charm had won her over." Gary couldn't help but boast at such a large amount of luck, Naruto would've said something to the guy, but decided to leave it be, seeing as he did need the confidence boost after what he went through.

Venture Compound Kitchen

The two ended up in the kitchen, where at first Rusty had questioned why Gary was there, but after Naruto had explained what was happening the man carried on using Hatred as a "demonstration" for the ray shields that he needed to build for his brother, J.J. unfortunately time was of the essence of which Rusty didn't have a lot of, seeing as it needed to be finished by 3 months, where the group then saw Dean with a new look, with it being all black.

Where Dean was now burning his learning bed/pod, which Naruto had agreed that the boys needed better experiences than whatever the learning pod had, and while he could take Dean to one of the Nine Realms for said experiences, it wasn't really the experience that Dean was needing, or talking about, even though Hank had came out with his own bed, he had a completely different idea than what Dean was planning and just wanted his own place.

It wasn't long before everyone was helping Rusty tidy everything up for the Ray Shield build, though while the adults were sorting the buildings out, Naruto was helping Dean and Hank with their own new rooms, by helping Hank paint his room, along with then helping Dean clean up his own room, with also helping him fix the place up and repainting it, though this did make Naruto miss the whole "gorilla killing" with Hatred having to kill the babies as well, but it wasn't long before the place was cleaned up, though Hatred did cry a few times for what he did, but Naruto had managed to console the guy, patting his back to help him through it.

Later

After gaining some money from Billy's rival, St. Cloud, a rich guy with a incredibly large wealth, it wasn't long before Rusty had sent out applications of student volunteers to help him build the project.

With Naruto in his armour and axe on his back, watching the whole thing, where Hatred soon spoke up about safety procedure and everything, it was now Naruto's turn to speak.

"Also, I'm Naruto, if any of you have questions or complaints, you come to me and I'll both help you out and deal with whatever it is that you need me for, I'm not saying I'm gonna bully you guys or anything, but we'll be able to talk things out if needed, but if talking completely fails, (SMASH!) then we'll have a problem." Naruto simply explains at first, but finishes threateningly by using his fist to smash the desk in front of him to pieces.

"Dude, why'd you do that, you're gonna scare them off after that!" Dean questions Naruto, worried that his new interest would run away after that.

Naruto just pats the boy on the shoulder, "Dean calm down, I only did that to make sure that none of the more "rowdy" college students stay in line, besides, from he look of things your new interest might be interested in you to, so I'll help you out on that, hell, if you want, I'll be your wingman for it." Naruto quickly explained his reasoning, along with offering his help with the girl, thus making Dean agree with such a thing.

Though Rusty suddenly made a "big show" by activating the device that they needed to build the Ray Shields for, only due to there not being any shields, it drew everything metal to it like a magnet, though Naruto was glad he didn't have to worry about that since his outfit wasn't really made from any earth metal that could be attracted by such a magnet, along with his axe, but the same couldn't be said for his wrist communicator.

With everything pretty much exploding and shutting down, "And there goes our first impression(!)" Naruto sarcastically states for everyone to hear him, making some of the students to giggle at such a response.

Next month

It wasn't long before the things carried on, with the students helping to create the ray shield, though there was a slight problem when Rusty used a piece of rock to test the shield, but thankfully Naruto was there, where he caught the rock in mid-flight before it could hit anything else, where he then crushed the rock to dust at Rusty's thoughtlessness, where Rusty states that it was the student's fault.

Unfortunately, "(Thump!) OW! WHAT WAS THAT FOR!?" Naruto simply "tapped" Rusty on the head of that.

With Naruto simply explaining, "Because you needed to at least give them some credit that they even managed to build this much in such a short amount of time, now come on, let's go see how Billy is doing." Since he wasn't gonna take Rusty's shit anymore after what he's been through.

Though Rusty did a quick look at his watch, which had told him that the radiation was off the charts, so he quickly ushered everyone out of the place, stating that the day had come to an end.

Even though Naruto questioned such a thing, he decided to leave it be for now, but while he didn't know about the radiation thanks to Rusty "closing" that function on Naruto's watch down, just so he doesn't get hit again, but luckily Naruto's armour was magically protecting him, along his healing factor and mental guard, Naruto didn't need to worry about the radiation, either poison, mutation or otherwise.

Night

While Naruto had just finished showering, he was heading for his bed, though as he was sleeping, he was getting assaulted by strange nightmares, causing him to struggle in his sleep, but after that, things began to settle down.

The next day, Naruto in his armour was helping Gary clean up his side of the yard, since to Naruto it felt like he should no longer go over to that part of the yard, along with the students no longer visiting him for anything.

Though Monarch made his appearance in a stolen white suit that the students wore, with Naruto having moved to a different sector for a few minutes, only for Naruto to throw his axe at Monarch's feet, where he then calls it back and places it where it belongs, "Please leave Monarch, today isn't a arch-day, so get going." Naruto simply states, with the man whining that he was going, though asked a quick question about The Game of Thrones series, which Gary answered easily, with the man exiting over the fence.

Naruto simply walks up and rests on the rake that he was using to clean the yard with, "Ya know, if you wanted, you could always enter one of those game shows on movie knowledge or something, you'd probably make a killing with everything you know when it comes to movies." Naruto states with a smile, finding that hanging out with Gary was a nice change from all the other stuff he had to do.

With Gary smiling back, "Nah, I love my life as is, though granted it would be nice to talk to the others at the Venture Compound, but I get that it'll take time for them to trust me after working for the Monarch for so long." He replied back.

That gave Naruto time to think, "That's fine, I'll think of something to help move things along for you." Naruto offered, where he then walked off somewhere, while Gary was trying to call out to him, but it was too late.

Though while things were "progressing" Naruto left to compound on a quick pick up that he had planned, though unfortunately a snowstorm had hit the compound area, so Naruto had to bunker down somewhere, unfortunately for him, that somewhere was at Sheila's place, though a few days later, Naruto had returned to the Venture Compound, though as he was in the living room setting something up, Rusty came up to him and started badgering him about his brother, J.J. coming to the compound in 24 hours, but Naruto wasn't really paying attention.

"Hey Naruto are you alright." Rusty had stopped his rant long enough to notice that something was bothering Naruto, so he tapped him on his shoulder for a response, and boy did he get one.

"THE CAKE WAS A LIE! GAH! S-Sorry doc, had a, um, weird experience while I was away picking this bad boy up." Naruto had exclaimed while working on what he was doing having just finished his little project.

"Oh O~kay? Well never mind your experience, we've got a major problem, my brother is coming by tomorrow and I don't know if the ray shield is ready or not." Rusty stated, getting a little weirded out by Naruto's mind not being in the same place.

Though Dean soon came running in, "NARUTO! I NEED YOUR HELP IN A FIGHT!" Which caught both by surprise.

Later

It was the next day at 6am, where everyone has gathered, though while the others were freezing due to the weather condition, Naruto was with Dean at the moment, with the boy explaining how the students had mutated and able to read minds and everything, hearing this Naruto then realised that the students must've used their telekinesis to keep him away from them, since they saw him as the bigger threat to their whole conquest thing, which Naruto had then regained his mental state due to his rage breaking through the mental commands and allowed him to put up his mental shielding once more, though for added defence he also began humming the French song, frere jacques, in his head while listening to Dean explain his reason for wanting Naruto's help.

Where they soon meet the leader as they had someone whipping Hatred, though when the leader, Martin, stepped forward, "So the dude with the easy brain has returned, huh, you do know the closer you are the easier it'll be for me to enter your brain, right!" He states, trying to be intimidating.

Though Naruto just glares at the boy, "My brain is much stronger now, not to mention my brain is not a nice place to be." His glare coming back tenfold, which caused the boy to jump back a bit, while trying to enter Naruto's mind, but found that he could, all the while hearing him mentally humming, frere jacques.

Making the boy question him about it, "It's what's keeping you out Martin." Naruto simply stated, having regained the mental training that his mother had put him through in case of such a meeting, but also Naruto figured it would be better that these students don't try to see his memories due to his death experience, seeing as he can still remember that art of his life, so he didn't want them to see that when everything was over with.

Though the humming quickly got on the boy's nerves, where he then decided to forget about the mind invasion and continued with the challenge, where Dean and Naruto soon found out that Hatred's really name was Courtney, making Naruto raise an eyebrow but decided to focus on other matters.

Unfortunately, it wasn't long before Naruto had actually defeated the so called leader, with relative ease, "Is this it, Dean, come on man, this guy was so easy that I bet even you could take him on, geez this is so annoying, but at least this actually helped me get my mental shielding back, so that's a plus though we-!" Only for a swarm of butterflies to start flying in, practically attacking everyone, though it turned out to be curing them of the mutation, thankfully Naruto's armour and aure kept them away from him, but noticed the cocoon hovering above the dome.

Though he then noticed some green gas entering through the air ducts, figuring that that was Rusty trying to cure the students, but Naruto took a quick sniff of it, "Hmm, is the doc trying to get everyone high or something, cos that isn't how you cure this sort of mutation, but by the smell of it, it'll help these guys NOT remember a single thing that has happened to them." Naruto simply states, since drugs don't really work on him due to his healing factor, so he was able to not feel it at all.

Once that was done, Naruto had exited the dome with the girl that Dean was hanging out with, since it turned out due to his winning, she had "moved on" from Dean and was trying to grope him, but after the butterfly attack and the drugs, she ended up collapsing into his arms, with Naruto figuring that he'd let everyone sleep the drug off.

Next Morning

After J.J. had collected the ray shield, Naruto had moved the girl onto his lap to let her rest her head on him, seeing as it was quite the eventful time for her and the other students, with none of them even remembering what had happened to them thanks to the narcotics that had hit them, though she was feeling a little loopy, her hand had started rubbing Naruto's thigh, "Um, excuse me, but, um." Naruto leaned in close to her ear, "That's not my thigh." He quietly whispered to he so no one would hear him.

Though the girls eyes widened at what he was insinuating, her eyes moved to her hand and quickly noticed that it was under Naruto's waist armour, feeling the pants under the waist armour, but also feeling something quite large, which made her legs shiver in need, though whether or not it was due to the weather and her outfit, was anyone's guess.

But before anything else, Gary had asked Hatred why he still had tits, making Naruto puzzled by such a thing, but decided to help the girl out with her stoned out mind right now by getting her something to eat at the house before she tries anything while being in such a state.

With the Monarch

Right now everyone in the cocoon were still feeling the affect of the drugs that was pumped into their system, whether they were giggling, groaning or whatever depended on how much gas was pumped into their systems.

All the while the Monarch and Sheila were mumbling and grumbling nonsensically because of the drugs, where the Monarch was knocked out first, Sheila was knocked out afterwards, though before that, "I had sex with Naruto~ He was amzing~ I don't, Idon~~~!" Only to be knocked out too.

Turns out during Naruto's trip away, due to the snowstorm he had spent a few nights with The Monarch and Sheila until it cleared up enough for him to drive back to the compound, though it turned out Sheila had used some drugs to knock out the Monarch for him to "sleep" easier, not that anyone noticed, then she dressed in a sexy outfit and had offered Naruto some cake while they talk about what Naruto was doing out in such a storm.

With Naruto first explaining that he wanted to get Dean and Hank their own game console for their new rooms, that way they could play each other on whatever games they fancy, or play online when he sets it up for them, along with getting a few more consoles for himself, Gary and possibly Hatred and Rusty, since Naruto figured it'll be a nice Christmas gift for everyone, as well as helping each other bond a little more in either some one on one matches, without anyone getting hurt, or some Co-op training, just so the boys can pay attention to who was in charge and try to listen to orders.

Which she could agree that such a thing was a good idea, though wondered how Naruto had managed to pay for all of the consoles and a few games, which Naruto stated that in the past he managed to do some lottery playing, among other gambling games and scored quite a lot of money, where he then stashed in different accounts and safety deposit boxes and other thing, while leaving out about his treasures he picked up in the other Nine Realms for obvious reasons.

Though as he talked, he missed Sheila moving towards him and it wasn't long before she started to have her way with him, or to be more accurately, he had his way with her, while making sure she didn't stick "anything" up his ass.

In the end, Sheila had her "fun," where as Naruto felt somewhat awkward for what he did, but he hopes during their next coffee talks, that there's no awkward sexual tension between them, hopefully.

Though luckily no-one in the cocoon would remember what she said, not to mention she'd have the whole systems delete anything it had recorded the next day when everyone was stable and awake, since she's pretty sure that no-one wanted to remember their drugged up state at all, without looking at the recording at all.

There you have it, I figured Naruto would be somewhat weak towards mental manipulations, so the mutants would have him stay away for the time being, only for him to regain his mental fortitude and everything, also, if anyone hasn't guessed, I got the whole "humming" thing from, Batman Vs Dr Destiny, on YouTube, but it was mostly on the Justice League episode, since I figured that scene would be perfect for this chapter with Naruto, also it would be a nice reference towards the scene as well.

Also I thought I'd add the whole "The cake was a lie" thing just for the fun of it, considering what had happened during his time "away" from the compound and everything, not to mention I also figured the best place to explain what had happened would be at the end when Sheila and everyone was "baked" to such a degree. lol
