BIG WARNING! This has some MAJOR SPOILERS in this chapter, due to it being based on the new movie, Death of a Unicorn, so if no one has seen that movie, then you'll have to wait until you have.

Just know it skips the canon episode, so there's only a little bit about that episode at the end.

Chapter 54

Death of a Unicorn

Road of Hungary

Right now Naruto was driving his motorbike on the long bends of the Hungarian roads, now you're probably wondering why Naruto was armoured up and driving in such a country, well that started a few days back.

It turns out in order for Naruto to get the water necklace for Sirena, he had to do a favour for Sindri, seeing as jewelry and other detailed designs were his specialty, so he requested Naruto to help him out with something that an old nymph friend of his was having trouble with, so with that, along with not having to pay for the necklace, Naruto figured he'll lend a hand.

Using his connections he not only managed to bring his weapons to the country, but also his motorcycle, though while driving Naruto couldn't deny that the forestry was beautiful with it's tall trees blanketing the woodlands, giving it quite the majestic scenery.

At one point Naruto had pulled over just to rest his eyes for a couple of hours, finding the fresh air and feel of the place just so peaceful since all you could hear was the birds and forest animals going about their daily lives, hell, a few of those animals had gathered around him to relax with him, thus showing how much Naruto respects nature, though what would scare any passerbys would be the bear that was laying behind Naruto, that was allowing Naruto to lay his back against, making quite the picturesque sight for anyone.

Though it wasn't long before someone interrupted the relaxing and beautiful sight, with them clearing their throat, which jostled Naruto awake from his mostly meditative state, along with causing the animals to depart, though it was obvious that neither Naruto nor the animals were best pleased about being awoken from such a thing, with the bear yawning awake and pretty much shuffled off, but with the way it was walking it too was obviously upset about being awoken.

The person who cleared their throat to gain Naruto's attention was a young looking green skinned woman, with leaves and other wood-themed look to her, making Naruto think of the Batman villainess, Poison Ivy, though instead of the seductive look that Ivy had, this person had a more innocent look instead.

"You must be Naruto, the one that I asked Sindri to help me with a problem." She simply states with an airy tone to her voice.

With Naruto standing up and stretching out his back, having regained some of his energy as it were, though that might be due to his ancestor living out his life in the Norse Pantheon, "And you must be the nymph that Sindri knows, so what's this problem that you've been having, since Sindri told me that you'd explain everything when I get here." Naruto asks, since while he didn't mind staying for sometime, unfortunately he couldn't really stay for very long due to his life back in New York and his studies.

The Nymph just nods her head, "Yes, I understand how you wish to get started on this mission, but please be careful for you see, the creatures that you may face might try to attack you as well, you see, I witnessed a man and possibly his daughter accidentally knock over and kill a Unicorn a few days ago, since I could see the man getting scared of his daughter receiving a cosmic vision from the young unicorn, where he then used a metal rod to kill it with, it was quite the upsetting sight." She couldn't help but feel her tears about to run down her face.

Naruto gave her a quick hug to help calm the upset nymph down, where she continued her story after thanking him, "Afterwards, they took the body with them, I'm not sure what they plan to do, but please, Naruto, you need to both stop whatever it is they plan to do with the body and protect them from what's about to happen." She finishes her request, though gains a nervous look on her visage.

With a serious look on his own face, "Why, what do I need to do that would require me to both stop and protect them." He couldn't help but ask.

""(ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!)""

Only for them to hear a pair of roar-like neigh to emanate from the woodlands behind them, making Naruto a little bit more concerned now, along with possibly understanding a little more of why the nymph was worried for the family duo.

"Um, l-let's just say that the parents aren't too pleased over their baby being abducted." She couldn't help but state, making Naruto realise that the unicorns may cause more trouble than he first thought.

"SindriiIIIIIIIIIIIII! YOU GONNA OWE ME MORE THAN A BLOODY NECKLACE FOR THIS ONE!" Naruto roars out due to the trouble he'll be getting into thanks to the dwarf.

With that, along with apologising to the nymph for his outburst, which she was both thankful for as well as understanding, since the whole thing seems a bit more than a necklace was worth, while explaining to Naruto the "rules" on how to deal with the unicorns.

Night Time

It took sometime, but Naruto soon managed to get to the mansion that the father and daughter duo were going to, seeing as the Nymph had told him that any electronic devices don't work when in close proximity with the Unicorns, so, Naruto had asked her to look after his motorcycle until he calls for it when he's done.

Only to come across the two adult Unicorns stabbing and tearing a woman apart, "Um, I've never seen horses do that before." He couldn't help but state, after witnessing such a horrid event, while being glad that he'd left Eenie Meanie behind, since such a sight would've traumatised the tiny woman even more.

Where at first the unicorns start advancing towards him in threat, but Naruto's eyes changed from his calm blue to a fiery red with slitted pupils, making both to get closer to look in Naruto's eyes.

Inside The Mansion

While this was happening, the people inside were pretty much scared out of their minds, trying to come up with an idea on how to get away from the unicorns without getting killed, only for the daughter to notice something, "WAIT-WAIT EVERYONE! LISTEN!?W-Why is it so quiet outside."

At first the spoilt and rich, mother and son duo, didn't take much notice until they too began to notice as well, where all of them slowly make their way to the door, where they then carefully and slowly open the door to look outside, though getting ready to quickly close it just in case.

Yet what they saw was a shocking sight, a young man, who looks about in his 20s, was sitting on a wall stroking and patting both of the wild beasts with a calm demeanor, yet the daughter noticed that the young man seemed to be talking to the unicorns, where both unicorns nod their heads in a horse-like manner, got up to leave, though growls towards the people in the house making them jump back in fear.

"(WHISTLE!)" Only for the young man to whistle at them, catching their attention once more, where he nods his head towards the forest, almost like he was basically telling them that he'll handle things from here on out, causing the pair to snort and run off into hiding.

With that, the young man stood up, dusting his armour off, which the group became shocked once more, only for them to quickly notice that the young man was making his way towards them, making them quickly shut and lock up the door in fear, considering how he was able to deal with the unicorns so easily, yet their military forces were easily dealt with in seconds.

They quickly tried to think of somewhere to hide or something to stop the young man, "(Knock! Knock! Knock!)" Only for them to jump in surprised at the sound of SOMEONE knocking at their door, making them look at one another in puzzlement that he would do such a thing.

After a short while though, something else happened.

("SMAAAAASSSSSSSSHHHH! CRAAAAASSSSSSSSHHHH! BOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!")

The door was being smashed apart, it's timbers turning into flying kindling and splinters as the group huddled together in fear, "(DING-DONG!)" Only for their doorbell to ring, making them look puzzled towards each other at such a thing, where the noise started all over again.

Though with the young man at the time, "Nope, it's still locked." Noticing the padlock that used to be attached to the door was still sealed tightly to the rest of the house, "Guess I'll go this way." He soon finished as he stepped through the hole that the door once was, showing that he'd practically destroyed the door completely.

He then came across the group of four, huddling together in fear from the noise of the door being destroyed, "Why didn't you open the door for me!?" He couldn't help but ask.

Though Elliot, the girl's father only had this to say, "We didn't hear you?" In a slow, somewhat pathetic tone of voice, making the other three look at him like he lost his head or something.

Hearing this, Naruto simply looked towards the man like he grew a second head, looks away with wide eyes at such a dumbfounded response and took a deep breath, while rubbing his forehead at such a thing, since it almost sounded like one of those British sitcoms that he saw some time ago. (A.N. Wink! Wink!)

Giving his head a quick shake to try and move on from that, "W-Well, anyway, I'm somewhat sure you four know why I'm here, I got a message from a friend of mine, (not the unicorns), that a father/daughter duo accidentally killed a baby unicorn and took the body with them, (I bet you both kinda regret doing that), but now the parents are here for their offspring, but I noticed, along with the parents, that the baby had her horn removed, so NOW if the horn isn't returned, there's gonna be quite a lot of trouble." Naruto stated, wanting to end things without any bloodbaths.

At first the rich snobs began to protest, wanting to keep the baby unicorn for their profit, along with doing the usual "I'll sue you" thing for if Naruto tries anything against them, unfortunately for them, Naruto simply flashed his agent licence at them, making the mother pale at the sight of it, having been a billionaire for sometime she knew better than to try and fight against someone with such a licence, though her son at first questioned it, but when Naruto told him to take a closer look, since Naruto noticed the young lad was a bit "out of it" letting him focus more on what was on the card, but as soon as he read the "Licence to Kill" part, that's when he backed down as well.

As for the father and daughter, they were worried about what was gonna happen next.

Naruto then simply put his licence away, "Alright, now that we've got that whole "legal" shit out of the way, here's what's gonna happen, the young lady will give the parents the horn back, since she's a purehearted maiden they won't hurt her, AND I'll be with her the whole time so that they don't try to hurt her, just in case, the rich snobs WILL stay in hiding until the whole thing blows over and if not, there WILL be consequences for your actions." Naruto explained the plan, where the father wanted to protest at first, since he didn't want to put his daughter in harm's way, but Naruto manages to reassure him of his protection.

With that, Naruto made sure to take the horn, which it turned out the father had it, wanting to use it as a sort of "bargaining chip" with the unicorns to let him and his daughter through safely, which Naruto can somewhat respected, but right now was a more delicate matter to deal with.

"Right, so, the parents won't be back until tomorrow, since I made sure that we'd deal with everything on our end first, meaning, that I'll keep hold of the horn until then, so let's grab a quick meal and rest for a few hours, since the sun will be up by then, I'll stand guard to make sure no-one from either side tries anything." Naruto finishes, while heading for the door.

"W-WAIT! Wait!? Please, can you at least explain w-what happened out there between you and the unicorns!?" Ridley asked, since from what she can gather, Naruto was definitely NOT a maiden, nor was he purehearted.

Naruto just smiles at the girl, where he made the girl jump a bit in shock, his eyes quickly changed from his calming deep blue to a fiery red slitted eyes, "It's an animal thing." He simply states, while blinking a second time, turning them back to normal, where he chuckles slightly at her shocked expression then winks at her cheekily as he leaves to do his guard duty.

Making the girl have even more questions than she did before.

Next Day

As Naruto was in a meditative state, wanting to save his energy for the transaction, the boy had other plans, since the boy had found his bow, he had unfortunately took Ridley hostage, using her to calm the unicorns down and tie them up, where due to Naruto not wanting the girl to get hurt had no choice but to stay back, yet the boy had the "smart" idea of tying the the unicorn's legs together, though Naruto knew better since simple ropes were easily breakable for the wild beasts.

Where the father came to them as well, where at first he took the horn from Naruto, causing the boy to think the man was on his side, only for the father to stab the boy, though Naruto became shocked when the boy had managed to stab Elliot with an arrow bolt, making Naruto rush to the man, though he then used his demigodly strength to send the boy flying to the other side of the mansion grounds, thus ending the boy's life due to his stupidity.

All the while the father and daughter finally made up after their strained relationship after Ridley's mother had passed, only for Elliot to pass on as well, causing the girl to cry at losing her father, only for both the unicorns to drag the dead man's body towards their own child, used their cosmic power to not only heal their baby, but also heal Elliot as well, thus bringing the man back to life, though caused an explosion that blew them away nearly, with Naruto flying through the backdoors.

After which all three of the unicorns run off back into the forest, vanishing from sight, with the parents turning from their angry black fur to their pure white forms.

Where father and daughter then hugged each other, happy that their nightmare was over and that they had rebuilt their relationship together.

"URGH! Well, that was a pain in the ass, I'm telling you right now, Sindri will be paying me back DOUBLE for this troublesome mission he had me do for him." Naruto's voice got their attention, though what shocked them was a steel bar stabbing straight through his exposed belly where his armour doesn't cover him, making him look like a shish kabob.

Naruto on the other hand just looks down, grabs the bar and simply yanks it out with a grunt, where both father and daughter became shocked that the wound suddenly healed rapidly, "Oh come on you two, do you really think that ONLY unicorns exist now, if anything you've merely scratched the surface, but I'd advise in forgetting this whole ordeal, cos trust me, once you go down THAT rabbit-hole there's no coming out of it." Naruto states to the pair, making them agree that it would be the best course of action.

Where they soon heard the police sirens blaring, heading for their location, "Listen, I'll deal with the police, I'll simply state that it was a national security and show my licence to them, that way they can clean up this whole mess and sort it out without any throwback on you two, let me tell ya, this thing is a godsend for getting outta trouble." Naruto states with a smile at the pair, while kissing his card, making the two laugh at such an outcome.

Though as Naruto had finished dealing with the police, the rich mother had other plans, wanting to sue and do the usual piss and moan that any rich person would, but Naruto soon had enough of that, "Officer, please hold that woman back for a while, there's something I need to do before we leave this place." With the officer in question doing as ordered, Naruto first entered the mansion, where he noticed the printout for the unicorn tapestry on the floor, "Huh, souvenir.", He simply states, while gathering and rolling up the sheets and putting them in his satchel, thus leaving the place.

"Okay, no-one else is in the mansion, right." He'd ask, gaining nods from the three people, which caused a predatory smile to appear on Naruto's face, "Good!" He finished.

It wasn't long before Naruto took his Blades of Athena from his back, setting them alight and started using them to destroy and set the whole place on fire, practically burning it to the ground in seconds, though he quickly noticed the flames were getting a little too close to the woodlands, so he took his axe from his back and started throwing it around at the flames, making sure the icy powers of it had put the flames completely out.

Thus after that, Naruto walked up to the police officer, "Please make sure that the father and daughter are taken to the airport, I believe they've got a long overdue flight back to their home." With the officer ushering the both away, knowing an agent of Naruto's calibra wasn't to be dealt with.

He soon made a quick phone call to a couple of people he knew, where they froze and took all of the woman's assets, thus leaving her with nothing, where Naruto simply states, "Consider this a lesson, be thankful for what you've got, otherwise you'll be left with nothing." He then made his exit, along with giving a sharp whistle, thus causing his motorcycle to roar towards him, allowing him to jump on and ride off, thus leaving the woman behind with nothing but broken dreams and a realisation of what her and her family's greed has cost her.

Where as the group was driving away, with the butler following them, the police officer was startled at the sight that was slowly coming up behind them at the edge of the forest, because there before them were the three unicorns, running beside them in their pristine white, making the group smile at the sight before them, though the father saw the cage in front of the father and daughter, thinking it was well, a cage, making the father and daughter a little bit worried at what might happen next.

"(WHISTLE!)"

Only for a loud whistle to sound off, catching the unicorns attention, where they saw Naruto shaking his head in the negative, then nods his head towards the forest, where his visor was up and he basically gave a look to the three that he'll explain when they meet up with the nymph, causing them to snort then rush off back into the forest.

"Officer, You. Saw. Nothing. Do you understand." Naruto's voice over the radio spooked them, but the officer complied, since who would believe her if she stated that unicorns were running with them, not knowing what might've really happened if Naruto wasn't there.

Later

After making sure the people were out of the forest safely, Naruto made his way back to the Nymph, after parking up at the edge of the forest, he sees the unicorns dancing around her in gratitude for her sending help, even though they could've "handled" things themselves, it was nice that Naruto had tried to help out.

Naruto was then sitting with the nymph as the unicorns continued their little dance of being reunited, though the younger unicorn then trotted up to Naruto, where she then starts rubbing up against Naruto, "I think she likes you." The Nymph couldn't help but tease Naruto a little.

Hearing this caused Naruto to chuckle slightly, while rubbing the younglings chin, causing here to winney in happiness and collapse to the floor, kicking her legs up in the air, "(chuckle!) While I am flattered that a unicorn likes me, I doubt her parents would be too thrilled to have me around for so long, since they'll probably end up thinking I'm trying to control them or something." He states in a joking manner, causing all three to snort at such a thing.

After spending some time with the trio, along with closing their eyes just to listen to the sound of nature, Naruto left them to do their thing, though the little unicorn wanted Naruto to stay longer, her mother made her realise that Naruto couldn't so she marched her back to their dwelling, though Naruto felt somewhat sorry for the little one, he quickly took one of his blades and cut off a small braid that Medusa had made for him, using a long strand of his hair on the back of his neck where no-one could see it.

Then he quickly fashioned it into a bracelet, gave a quick whistle towards the mother and daughter, where he then walks over and shows the hair bracelet to the pair, with Naruto basically asking with his eyes if the mother was alright with what he plans to do, with her nodding her head in agreement, while her daughter jumps around in excitement that she'll at least have one momento from her new friend, "Alright, alright, calm down otherwise I won't be able to put it on you!" Naruto exclaims in laughter at such exuberance.

Which the young unicorn follows through, thus allowing Naruto to put the hair bracelet on the unicorn's horn, "To remember me by." He happily states, where both mother and daughter hug him in gratitude, with him hugging them back, where they soon depart.

Only for the father to knock Naruto's shoulder, getting his attention, where he allows Naruto to grab the horn, thus showing him the same thing that Ridley and her father saw, after which, Naruto thanked the unicorn for showing him such a magnificent sight, though before the father could leave, he nudges against one of Naruto's Blades of Athena, where Naruto follows through and lets the unicorn do whatever it wanted to do.

Where the father then angles the blade enough, using Naruto's hand to guide it, only for Naruto to get the idea when the father had the blade near it's near smaller secondary horn, just in front of and below it's main horn, with Naruto locking eyes with the creature, wanting to make sure, only for the unicorn to knock against the blade slightly, showing he's willingness for it.

With that, Naruto did a quick slice, thus slicing the small point from its place, causing the father to whinny in pain, and on instinct, spun around and kicked Naruto away, causing Naruto to get sent flying through a few trees and land in a grunt, "Yep~ I should've saw that coming~" He couldn't help but groan out, while grunting and groaning at the pain he was in, all the while cracks and snaps could be heard from his body as everything was put back into place as Naruto's healing factor helped in his recovery.

Though the father quickly trotted up to him, wanting to make sure he was alright, while brushing his snout against Naruto's head, "I'm okay, I'm okay, I had way worse before, so no worries." Naruto stated while patting the unicorn's snout in gratitude for worrying.

With the mother and daughter quickly returning after hearing the father's whinny, though both became somewhat worried about Naruto, a simple explanation from the father was soon given to the pair, though they gave him a disapproving bump for such a thing, the father then dropped his horn piece into Naruto's hand, with Naruto smiling towards the three, "Thanks, I'm sure this will come in handy at some point."

With that little scene out of the way, Naruto pocketed the horn piece, said his goodbye to the nymph, who was worried about Naruto's injuries, but he brushed it of and made his way back to New York.

Next Day

Venture Tower

He then enters the penthouse and saw both Billy and White talking about their "battle" with Billy's nemesis, St. Cloud, where Naruto has a puzzled look on his face at the sight of the pair talking to Dean and Hank.

"Hey you guys, what'd I miss." He asked his father and Rusty, where both explained about Billy getting a level 1 arching and how everyone was getting the two ready for it, along with the outcome of such a thing, making Naruto deadpan at such a thing, but agreed that they don't tell the pair that all three of them were drugged out of their goard's on laughing gas.

With Naruto leaving them to it, since he only wanted to show them that he'd returned from his quick trip, while leaving out his whole "unicorn" part, where he visits Brok and Sindri, along with dropping off the unicorn horn piece, where at first he was concerned about the father losing it, but Brok brushed it off stating that the part that was cut off was like a piece of nail, it'll soon grow back, which calmed Naruto down.

Though afterwards he gave Sindri a slight clap to the back of his head, stating that he could've told him about the Nymph needing help with the unicorns and that the mission was worth way more than a necklace, which Sindri quickly apologies and states that he'll work something out with the necklace and a couple of other items in the future for free after what Naruto had to deal with, with even Brok agreeing with such a thing too.

So with that, the pair continued with their work on the necklace, whereas Naruto left them to it and went back to his penthouse room and took out the large printed photos of the unicorn tapestry and started placing them on his wall, luckily there was enough room to put them on to only one of his walls, though when Brock asked about the pictures, Naruto simply stated that they were souvenirs from his trip since he took a quick look at the unicorn tapestry that was hung up at the museum and found it interesting.

Though the look on Brock's face made him puzzled as to why Naruto would suddenly gain an interest in the artwork, but decided to leave it be since he figured it'll probably be about his studies or whatever, but it did give Brock some other ideas considering what Rusty was working on for his next project that he'll report to Colonel Gathers in his monthly reports.

I hope everyone enjoyed this chapter, as I'm sure everyone has guessed, I used the movie, Death of a Unicorn, for Naruto's solo mission/trip away from the others, while they were busy with the whole St. Cloud thing, since I figured why not.

I also added a few references from Riddick and the spin-off of, Only Fools & Horses, The Green Green Grass, as well, since I figured Naruto would pull such a funny joke to lighten the mood of all the deaths that have happened. lol
