Chapter 2:

Tinker took the carburetor to school. "Maybe Mark might know what's goin' on," says Tinker, "he's the smartest kid in school!"

...

Tinker shows Mark. "I don't believe it," says Mark, "Tinker, I don't know what you used, but it looks like, somehow, you have developed an AI!"

"A what now," asks Tinker.

"Artificial Intelligence," says Mark, "the capability of computational systems to perform tasks typically associated with human intelligence, such as learning, reasoning, problem-solving, perception, and decision-making! Your attempt to make a car's brain, instead made a computer!"

"Well, I'll be," says Tinker.

...

Debbie was talking to her Aunt Belle. "… and if you don't get the money, you're going to have to sell your ranch," asks Debbie, "don't worry, Aunt Belle, I'll save it!" She then hangs up. "But where am I going to get that money?" She then sees an add for a big race. "That could work… now, if only I knew someone with a car!" She then overhears Tinker and Mark talking about a car Tinker's working on. "Convenient!"

...

Tinker puts in the carburetor. "Okay, I hope this works," says Tinker. The car then starts making sounds. "Maybe I should've just bought a carburetor…"

"H-h-h-hello…"

Tinker was surprised to hear the car talk…

...

Meanwhile, in a strange blimp. "Boys, this is gonna be sweet! Soon, that ranch will belong to Beefinger!"

"Question, Boss," asks Breezly the Polar Bear, "where are all the bee stuff?"

"Yeah, I was wondering that too," asks Sneezly the seal.

"You idiots," says Beefinger, "mah name ain't based on bees! It's based on beef!"

"Oh," they both say.

"So, why do you want that ranch," asks Breezly.

"Because she holds the best cattle ranch in the state and the best cattle ranch should be mine," says Beefinger, "and as long as you boys keep sabotagin' things, she'll have ta sell it ta me!" Beefinger then laughs and Breezly and Sneezly laugh with him.
