Chapter 7:
Prof. Gizmo has made a remote. "Now, with this, you can control that car," says Prof. Gizmo, "can I go now?"
"You're free to leave, Professor," says Beefinger. The professor then leaves. "Boys, let's all go see that race!"
...
The time for the big race has come. "Wow, it's Parker and Piper Perfect," says Mark, "the children of famous racers, Peter Perfect and Penelope Pitstop!"
"Did you hear what Dick Dastardly tried to pull in Greece," asks Parker.
"Yeah, what a weirdo," says Piper.
...
The race began, but Beefinger used the remote to take control of Speed Buggy. "Speed, what are ya doin'," asks Tinker.
"I wish I knew," says Speed. They were going everywhere. "We're outta control!" But Beefinger's in control!
...
Because of this, Tinker and Speed finish last while Piper Perfect finishes first place. Everyone cheers for her.
"What was that," asks Debbie.
"I…" Tinker begins saying.
"My aunt's ranch is in danger and you were playing around," asks Debbie.
"Hey, it wasn't his fault, something went wrong…" Speed realizes everyone heard him. "I mean… honk?"
"TALKING CAR," Parker shouts.
Everyone freaks out. Tinker gets in Speed and drives away.
"Bye, bye, Speed Buggy," says Beefinger.
...
"A talking car," says Officer Dibble, "what will they think of next? As if the talking animals weren't weird enough!"
...
Tinker and Speed found a place to hide. "Well, Speed, I guess we live under this bridge now!"
"Tinker?" Tinker and Speed realize Debbie and Mark found them.
