Corrin had always been a morning person. As soon as the sun's rays crept through the windows, he would be wide awake, ready to take on whatever the day was going to pit against him. Today was no different. He blinked awake, sitting up and letting out a quiet yawn as he rubbed an eye. As his pupils contracted from the light in the room, he looked at his side to see his wife, still asleep.

Setsuna was always one to sleep in. Nothing could get her out of bed, unless she was dragged off and forced to stand like a training dummy. Otherwise, she'd bury herself in a blanket, keeping her eyes closed. Even if she couldn't sleep, she loved to bask in the coziness, an ephemeral warmth that would disappear as soon as she moved. It was a trap, one that she would willingly be caught by every morning.

Even as a married woman, she couldn't give up old habits so easily. Thankfully, Corrin never minded how long she'd sleep. Time worked very differently in the Astral Plane anyways, so she was able to sleep as long as she wanted. As much as she hated being in a war, she enjoyed the perk of a base where they were completely safe and could take as much time as they needed to prepare for their next battle. Did she take advantage of that? Of course she did.

With a smile on his face, Corrin moved Setsuna's bangs to the side, allowing him to see both of her eyes. The moment she turned her head away, the hair swept right back to cover it. A quiet chuckle escaped his lips as he continued to watch her sleep. He stayed on his bed for a few more minutes, keeping his eyes on his wife before making the decision to get up and officially begin the long day ahead.

But as soon as he was ready to push himself up, a hand grasped his wrist. He turned around to see Setsuna's arm, stretched out and holding on for life, her eyes still closed. "Don't go yet…" she pleaded in a faint and calm voice. It was safe to say that she had been awake this whole time, but refused to do so much as open her eyes.

"You know we have to get up eventually, Setsuna," Corrin replied in an equally calm tone, pulling his wrist free from the archer's grip. "And if not you, then at least me." He was ready to stand again when he heard the covers being rustled around, and a pair of hands wrapped around his forearm. Setsuna was being rather stubborn, and she didn't seem keen on making it easy for him.

"…Please?" she asked, adding a lovey-dovey flair to her voice in the hopes Corrin would reconsider. Once again it didn't work. He used his free arm to unlock her fingers, letting her arms release him. But she was quick the third time. As soon as her arms hit the mattress, her entire body moved around. Now she was wrapped around his sternum, head resting on his shoulder, the weight of her loose body beginning to pull Corrin back down. "You've fallen in my trap now."

Corrin didn't try to resist Setsuna's hold on him this time. "Aren't you the one that's always falling for traps?" he asked.

"Yup," she answered bluntly. "But that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to make my own."

Fine. Just this once, he would let her have this. Laying back down, Setsuna was quick to cover them both and snuggle up against him, letting out a quiet and slightly enthusiastic, "Yay." as she nuzzled into him.

Corrin only smiled as he pressed a very gentle kiss on her head. A bit more sleep couldn't hurt, right?
