Naruto P.O.V
I walk out the dojo after putting my shirt back on. I guess that went well at least she didn't push me away again. I run my hand through my hair. When I turn the corner, I see that Hinata has picked it up and was walking to her room. I feel the urge to grab the book but decide against it.
'Where did I put the other 3', I wonder.
'Kit you put them in your mates room remember the bookcase,' Kyubbi states, as if obvious. No wonder she picked it up, especially since she sits all day in that room. I stare where her departing form is. I hope she reads and studies well.
Hinata's P.O.V
I walk to my room and suppress a shiver of the feel of being watched. As I close the door my excitement was dimmed down. Once I get into my room, I place the book near the others. I grab a sleeping gown, running the water to the hottest setting. As I wash, I evaluate my last few days. Naruto is starting to act odd in a…pleasant way. I still am on my toes, taking this as a bad sign. Once I finish with my shower I curl up on my bed, grabbing the book.
'Like in book 1 I said demon foxes don't usual stay with packs that's a lie. They don't stay in packs they stay in families. The male fox will choose its mate. They will feel an undeniable pull towards the female. It drives them almost crazy if they decide to ignore the pull. They will begin to make their self known in the female fox's life. He will start off by showing her who's dominate between the two. This is a ploy to make the female feel as though they must be protected. The female may fight back; however, it usually leads to brutality on the male's side. They want their mate obedient, so in high stress the loyalty will not be broken.'
It then shows a picture of a Male and female fox attacking each other. The male was clearly winning. I tilt my head. It does make sense that he will do this to ensure some type of success.
'After he shows that she weak he will knock out any male in her life. This does include family as well. If the female is too close to any male in her family the opposite male will either attack and kill or brutality beat them. If she doesn't have any he will move on to the next phase. After that phase three is letting the female fox show the male fox that she can be independent. He will slowly let off his attacks and let her show her own skills. His attacks will turn into training, gently correcting her attacks with gentle nudging. He grows more protective instead of the famous possessiveness he's already shown. He will allow her alone and see how she will react.'
It shows a female fox hunting alone with the male fox eyes in the background watching her.
'When he lets her show that she that she is capable of being on her own he will become passionate towards the female. He will start by licking the female's neck fur. Then he will brush up all up around the female. After he will always be there for the female. If the female lets him mate with her it's their completion to his courting. The success rate is actually very high, considering the male fox is an abuser at the beginning.'
It shows two foxes with kits surrounded. Even though that looks like the end there was another page.
'But there is a chance that the female will not accept the male's affection, and this will ultimately break the male fox down. Male foxes only have one mate while the females can have many. Now that this is settled then the human should be mentioned. The humans that have a fox demon sealed inside them if merged they will have similar traits. Except as soon as they find their mate, they will become hostile because they don't understand why they feel that way. They will take it as an overwhelming feeling of hate, when really, it's a more complex feeling. It is only when they merge will they understand the meaning. They will start phases much like the true beast.'
I try to think when I saw Naruto hostile to Sakura but couldn't come up with one. He must have done it in secret. He's been rude to me as long as I could remember, probably solely to the fact I am a weak female. There is something in the other books that state the male does not take imposing females kindly. They have eyes for their mate only.
'How the female reproduces'
My cheeks go red, but I continue. I fear this will begin to show the mating part. I wonder if it looks like a children book, would kids be reading this book?
'As I said in book 1 females have three stomachs. The one for the kit to be created. But the interesting part is when they want to reproduce, they can reproduce without a male present. When a male and female fox mate the female can save the sperm in a sack. This is in the case the female's mate perishes and no longer wants another mate. They tend to reproduce until they have a son to take over much like their father. Tails all fall on who the parents are. A nine-tail mating with a one tail usually produces a six or lower tail, as confusing as those sounds. Unless the nine tail mates with another full blooded nine tail, the results vary. It's rare for the nine to show up, and as more males fell for lesser tails their lineage begins to fall.'
I put they book down, feeling another page behind my finger. I take a deep breath and flip the book back over.
'The best way to tell if you are the chosen mate there is a single tell tale sign. The constant need to be around you, aggression borderline abuse, and the hate for other men around you.'
Naruto P.O.V
I sat in my bed; arms tucked behind my head. I can't help but think of what Sakura said to me. It hasn't shock me, especially due to the fact I faked attraction to her. I didn't know how much I would come to crave Hinata yet. Everyone used to want her or Ino. I just followed suit. I never expected her outlandish statement that Hinata heard.
Flashback
"Naruto…Naruto I love you," Sakura whispers, gripping my hand as she did pull me away from the market. I arch my eyebrow, finding her unbearable. I swallow the growls threatening to pull out my throat. I rub the back of my head, giving my best sheepish smile.
"Sakura I love you too, but as my best friend," I say, warmly while pulling my hand from her grip. I can tell she's in shock that I do not reproach her feelings. I never made it obvious that I no longer found her attractive.
"Oh…um may I ask why the sudden change of heart?" I can hear the hurt in her voice. It's obvious she truly expects me to pine after her. I gently pat her head.
"Because you will never get over Sasuke and I love another, I can not wait forever Sakura. I may be dense but not that dense. I moved on," I explain, smiling sheepishly still. I felt the building need to find my mate. She should still be in the marketplace. I was in the process of watching her.
"Who could you love more than me? We have known each other for so long, why am I just now hearing about her?" She snaps. I give my best smile. I pat her head, a little too hard so she understands she is upsetting me. I hate that she barely reacts. She is not my mate, who will bow before she even raises her voice. I turn, sighing.
"Nice talk Sakura,"
