I accepted the bargain in prayer. I fell prostrate where I was and prayed fervently for clarity. I received an answer.
We were doomed from the start. I see it now, a perfect way to defeat Chaos but not to break the time loop. We remained in it forever, until the goddess herself stepped in and unmade it all in resignation.
And there was Light.
The only thing that remained was one phrase, locked deep inside a blank diary floating in void:
"We are forever."
