Chapter 2:
Lil' Abner took Billy Joe to this field. "There ain't nothin'…" He then sees them all. "What are they? They look like bowling pins!"
"They're called Shmoos," says Lil' Abner, "cute, ain't they? They can turn into anythin'!" The Shmoos demonstrate their shapeshifting ability.
"Wow," says Billy Joe. One goes to him and he pets it.

Billy Joe started playing with the shmoos, but he formed a bond with one in particular.
...
Mickey and Nita were watching a movie when Billy Joe came back. "Hey, oh, you lovebirds are watchin' 'The Batman'? Yeah, I can't believe…" SPOILER ALERT! "I just spoiled it, didn't I?"
"Thanks a lot," says Mickey.
"Well, the boss still wants us to come up with new mysterious comics," says Nita.
"Well, lookie what I got!" Billy Joe reveals Shmoo. Mickey and Nita freak out and Shmoo shows them his abilities. "Can we make a comic about him?"
"I think we might have found our new comic," says Nita, "this guys definitely a big mystery!"
...
Nita, Mickey and Billy Joe then get to work while Shmoo poses for the illustrations, but then they all heard something and look out the window. They see a giant robot, rampaging in the town. "There's something you don't see everyday," says Mickey.
"Fear not, Citizens!" Captain Mentor arrives and destroys the robot.
"Wow, a superhero," says Billy Joe.
"Who are you," asks Nita.
"I am Captain Mentor! I came from another planet, a planet that was taken over by crime and corruption! It destroyed my world, so I came here to make sure this one doesn't suffer the same fate! I have sworn to protect your planet from the forces of evil!" He then flies away.
"Wow," says Billy Joe. Shmoo agrees.
"That was pretty cool," says Nita, "now, let's get back to our comic!"

As Captain Mentor flies, he looks down. "They bought it," says Captain Mentor, "now, I can look for my treasure!" He then continues flying.
