Chapter 4:
Billy Joe was watching Captain Mentor take on the energy robbers. Nita, Mickey, and Shmoo arrive. "Wow, Captain Mentor's the greatest," says Billy Joe.

Shmoo was walking when he sees Captain Mentor talking to those 'energy robbers'. "You did good," says Captain Mentor, "as long as these idiots think I'm their hero, that treasure will be mine!"
Shmoo was horrified…

… and then runs away, screaming.

Shmoo returns to Mighty Mystery Comics and jumps on the desk. "Oh, hey, lil' buddy," says Billy Joe, "Nita and Mickey were givin' me the talk and they're right! I've been ignoring you all and I'm sorry and…"
Shmoo then takes the shape of Captain Mentor and then takes the shape of one of those 'energy robbers' and then takes the shape of a snake.
"What's he trying to tell us," asks Nita.
"Captain Mentor's a snake," says Billy Joe, "he's lying to us all!"
