A/N

I got into Awakening at around the same time as Teen Titans, and though I've always wanted to write a big dumb crossover fic with Trigon and Grima teaming up and the Shepherds and Titans working together, I never formed an actual plotline instead. Oh, well. Enjoy this silly little one shot instead! (More of a ship crossover than anything else. Look at my username. Guess which ship it is.)

Also, way more effort was put into this than was necessary. It's just shy of 5k words!

Naga looked down at Lucina with a raised brow, the only sign on the otherwise Divine Dragon that she wasn't thrilled with the request made of her.

"You want to go back to your own time?" She asked.

Lucina nodded, adjusting the pack on her back. "I've fulfilled my duty. Time has been rewritten, Grima has been stopped, and I must return to avoid altering this world beyond recognition."

Naga didn't look impressed. "You have a husband. And a daughter. And none of your friends have joined you. Have you thought this through?" Naga asked in disbelief, though her neutral tone didn't anger the princess.

Lucina only nodded, though she frowned and her gaze fell. "They... They knew I would do this. I've told them as much several times before."

"I see. And did you tell them before you left?"

"N-No... I didn't want to cause any more arguments..."

Naga sighed as she looked up. "It seems as though the argument has found its way here."

"Lucina!"

She turned as Robin ran up to her, a travelers pack on his back as well.

"Wait up! I said I was going with you!"

Lucina could only scowl, but it didn't stop the painful tug in her chest. "Robin. I thought you were still asleep when I left."

He waved her remark away. "I figured something like this would happen with the way you've been acting and what you've been saying. I alerted the guards and asked them to come get me if they saw you slipping away in the middle of the night." His gaze became more serious. "I'm not letting you go back to that blighted world by yourself. I told you before, I'll follow you down any road you choose to go. Even if you got here ahead of me, I would've had Naga send me to you anyways. We're married till death do us part. You aren't getting rid of me that easily. Even Grima couldn't!"

"I have to do this, Robin. I don't belong here." She couldn't meet his eyes anymore and struggled to keep her voice level. "I promised the Naga of my own time I would return once my oath was fulfilled. I have to keep that promise." She turned towards the Divine Dragon. "Please, send me back."

"Me too!" He grabbed Lucina's hand.

Naga rolled her eyes as the couple started to quarrel. "Very well. If you insist. Though I doubt with the bonds you've formed here, the other me will indulge you for long. Hold still..."

Robin and Lucina blinked as they were suddenly engulfed in white light, and with a flash, the two disappeared.

At Titan's Tower, Robin, former sidekick to Batman, stood looking out over Jump City.

Though normally his mind would've been focused on plans to keep the city safe, he was distracted by an argument that had happened a few days ago.

"What do you mean you want to leave!?" Robin asked in disbelief.

Raven shrugged indifferently, the empath's face as stoic as ever. "Crime is at an all time low in the city. There aren't any crazy supervillains running around. We haven't even been called out in almost two months. We just patrol and stop muggers and car thieves and the occasional robbery. I think now might be a good time for me to... take a break." She said again.

He shook his head. "You're a part of our team. What happens if we need you and you aren't here?"

Raven rolled her eyes. "It's not like I'm going off the grid and cutting off all communication with you. If you need me, call."

He was terrible with displaying his emotions, but he reached forward and took her hand in his, lacing their fingers together. "What if I need you here?"

"Come with me, then." Though she didn't smile, there was a playful twinkle in Raven's eyes. "If they need us, they can call."

He was silent. A moment passed, then two. "I can't." He shook his head. "I want to help people. I thought you did too."

Raven dropped his hand. Her eyes darkened. "That was because I wanted to redeem myself before my fate caught up to me. I had no other plans when I came here. Do some good before I do something really bad."

"What about your friends?" When she remained silent, he turned away. "I can't believe you."

They hadn't talked since then, and though the tower was small, they hadn't run into each other since then either. "Some boyfriend I am. Selfish idiot." He scoffed at himself. He'd let his emotions get the better of him in that moment, and he'd been regretting it ever since.

Suddenly, a bright flash appeared behind him, and he turned and pulled his staff out as he took a defensive stance.

"Honestly! Do you think I want you to see this?!"

A woman with blue hair and a sword at her side had appeared with a man wearing a purple coat. Both of them were facing each other and hadn't noticed him.

"I didn't want you to see this ever again!" He snapped back, throwing his hands up in the air. "I wanted you to spend the rest of your days living happily! I wanted to make you happy! How am I supposed to do that if you run away!?"

"I am not running away!"

"Who are you!?" Robin called out, approaching warily.

Both strangers suddenly stiffened and turned on their heel.

"What is this? This isn't-" The blue haired woman saw Robin and drew her sword. "On your guard!"

The man drew a book out of his coat, and Robin recognized a magic tome when he saw it.

The door to the roof exploded as the rest of the Titans emerged from it. "Robin, what's going on? Who are these people?" Beast Boy asked before shifting into a lion.

"I don't know, but if they're looking for trouble, they've found it."

Starfire and Raven's eyes glowed green and white and Cyborg readied his sonic cannon.

For a moment, there was silence as the two groups regarded each other.

Then, the woman spoke.

"We are not seeking trouble." She took in the two flying girls with some astonishment before turning back to face Robin. "We have stumbled onto this place accidently."

Starfire flew in front of the duo. "Explain yourself."

The man was shocked to see her glowing green eyes. "We were trying to cross into a parallel time. Is this not Ylisse? O Plegia, or Regna Ferox?" He asked cautiously, though deep down he already knew the answer.

Cyborg and Beast Boy exchanged confused glances. "Uh, what the heck are you talking about?"

"...Do you know what a divine dragon is?" The man asked cautiously.

The Titans shook their heads.

The man and woman exchanged glances, nodded and lowered their weapons. The Titans lowered their guards in turn. "Forgive us for our trespass. We did not intend to end up here. My name is Lucina, Exalt of the halidome of Ylisse."

"And I'm Robin, grandmaster tactician of Ylisse's armies."

The Titans approached them slowly as they put their weapons away. The five superheroes exchanged glances.

"Sounds like you need help. You'd better come inside."

As they walked into the observation room, Robin and Lucina looked around at the technology several millennium ahead of their time. They couldn't make heads or tails of the computers, television sets, game console, fridges... If they weren't concerned with their current when and where, they'd be asking a million questions.

They sat down on the couch and the masked boy and girl with gray skin sat beside them on one side, while the green boy, metal man, and other flying girl sat on the other side. After introducing themselves as Robin (who elected to go by Rob to avoid confusion), Raven, Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Beast Boy, Rob leaned back in his seat and said, "Alright, explain from the beginning."

Lucina spoke before Robin could. "I was trying to return home to my time when he showed up after following me."

Robin raised his hands as the others gave him strange looks. "Don't let her tone fool you. I'm her husband. Where she goes, I go." He smiled as Lucina glared at the ground. "And I've been trying to talk her out of this return trip for over a year."

"It's the truth." The empath said simply.

"Why would you leave your husband behind? Do you seek the divorce?" Starfire asked.

"No!" Lucina protested. She sighed and shook her head. "It's hard to explain... Here's the short version." Lucina quickly recounted their story; losing the battle against Grima in her time, travelling back to rewrite history, gathering the gemstones for the Fire Emblem, stopping Grima, and ending with Robin's death and return. "I made an oath to Ylisse's patron deity. I have to return to my time. I didn't want to bring Robin to my blighted future. He has no place there."

"And I told her it wasn't happening. She could stay with me in the past or I could go with her to the future, and she's set against it." Robin folded his arms across his chest. "She refuses to tell me why. All this could have been avoided if she would just talk to me." He turned to her expectantly with raised brows.

"You wouldn't understand!" Lucina cried out in frustration, standing up. "And besides, if you hadn't shown up, Naga wouldn't have sent us here on accident!" She huffed and walked away. "It was my choice. Why can't you accept that?"

Raven stood as Lucina rounded the couch. "I'll go keep an eye on her." The others nodded as she left.

Once the door closed when they entered the hallway, everyone turned back to Robin.

He let out a sigh, running his hand through his white hair. It was silent for a moment before Beast Boy broke the silence. "From time travel to a married couple bickering... What a letdown."

Cyborg snickered, and Rob shook his head. "Raven may be able to devise a spell to send you back to your time. I'll... talk to her about it." He said hesitantly. Truthfully, he was a little nervous about approaching finally Raven after their first serious fight, but he knew at some point he'd have to talk to her.

"I'm grateful." Robin said.

"Well, let us know if you need anything. My baby needs some work downstairs."

"Ooh, let me help! I have some ideas!"

"You ain't coming anywhere near the T-Car!"

"Friends, please - let us all pitch in to the modifications!"

Robin watched them go, wondering what they were talking about, when Rob cleared his throat.

"Is this your first fight?"

The older man chuckled. "No, not at all. We have an amnesiac daughter who's time travelled back to us, and we've butted heads a few times when it comes to life lessons we're teaching her." He laughed, then his face fell. "But, I wasn't expecting her to actually be this upset. I figured she'd come around if she just talked, but there's something she isn't telling me. I can't help if I don't know what it is."

Rob nodded slowly. "I... I know the feeling. Raven, the one who went with her, is my girlfriend. We've been together a while, but..." He sighed and his shoulders dropped. "She wants to leave the team and go somewhere else. I asked her to stay and she said no, then she asked me to go with her and I said no, and now... We haven't talked in a few days." It was admittedly easier speaking about this to a stranger who didn't have a bias rather than his other friends.

"Rookie mistake. If you love her, go with her." Robin said encouragingly.

"It's not so simple... Our place is here, defending the city. We're going to be needed again at some point. Just because a major threat hasn't appeared doesn't mean we should just give up and go our separate ways."

"Peace is hard to get used to." Robin pointed out after a moment of contemplation. "It can be harder to deal with than conflict, sometimes."

"Peace..." Rob thought. "I haven't had that since I was nine years old..." He rested his arms on his knees. "Sorry. You came here and need help, but instead I turn around and burden you with my problems."

Robin laughed lightheartedly. "We're not in need of too much help. Besides, my group of friends leans on each other all the time. It's how we forged such strong bonds."

Lucina exhaled as she stepped into the hallway.

"Here, come with me." Raven turned and Lucina obliged, not knowing where else to go.

The future past princess gasped as she was led into the girls room; Tharja and Henry would have had a field day seeing all of the objects clearly meant for dark magic. Lucina gripped her Falchion nervously. Suddenly she wasn't sure if this was a good idea.

A couple of books floated off shelves and hovered in front of Raven. "I may be able to devise a spell that can send you and your husband back to your world. Let me see..."

Lucina forced the tension out of her shoulders. "This is a strange land with strange people." She thought.

"Your husband's a jerk, by the way. He should have let you go if that's what you wanted." Raven said over her shoulder as she looked between pages that flipped themselves.

"Um..." She wasn't sure if she should agree with or rebuke the young girl. "He wants me to be happy. He just doesn't understand..." She trailed off, unsure how to continue.

"My room has magical wards. No one can listen in."

Lucina sighed, sitting on the edge of the girls bed. She opened her mouth, but paused as uncertainty gripped her. Should she be telling this girl the truth? But it wasn't like when she tried to explain it to her family and friends they'd understood. They'd all taken Robin's side. Frowning, she said, "I swore I wouldn't change the past more than necessary. I wanted to stop the end of the world. We did that. Now I have to go back. It's that simple."

"You're lying."

Her frown deepened. "No I'm not."

Raven turned to gaze at her. "I'm an empath. I can sense people's emotions and intents. You aren't telling the truth, at least not the whole truth." Her face softened a fraction of a degree. "Look, I understand if you don't want to talk. I'm not normally someone people come to talk to, anyways."

Silence fell between them for several moments before Lucina spoke again, her voice low and soft in the dark room.

"I failed in my mission. I wanted to stop Grima myself. I had to run like a scared child back to an alternate version of my parents, and have them take care of my problems. It was a slap in the face to my legacy as Exalt, to the memory of my original parents, to my world... And now, the young version of me in the past is living the life I never could, being raised by both parents to lead a kingdom while I have no idea where my place in it will be. Sometimes, it feels like I'm an outsider looking in. It would just be easier if... If I could go back. I belong in my time." There was no need to tell Raven about the nightmares that still plagued her, or those moments when she was pulled back to her struggles of survival when she was wide awake, yet reliving them so vividly it was like she'd time travelled again.

Raven's magic stopped as she listened, the books bobbing in the air. Her brow furrowed as she was lost in thought. "I understand. More than you might think. I spent much of my life in another realm." At Lucina's inquisitive gaze, she pursed her lips. "My mother was human, but my father was a demon. It was prophesized when I was born that I would help bring him into this world and help him destroy it. I was taken to another realm for safety, to learn how to control my magic, but when I learned the truth I came here to try and fight back, to do some good. I found a home amongst the Titans."

Lucina's brow raised. "This is somewhat like Robin's story."

"So you challenged your fate? Does this prophecy still hang over you?" She asked.

"Yes to the first, no to the second. We beat the prophecy, but not before I gave into it first. I thought it would be easier to just give up. My father was simply too strong to resist." Raven swallowed hard. "I felt like I didn't belong here sometimes, either. I was supposed to end the world. I wasn't friendly or easy to approach like they were. How could I have these friends, or find love? But I did. It was because of them that after I ended the world, I found the strength to restore it."

"If Robin could overcome Grima's influence, could he have saved my time, and let me land a fatal blow against him, even without the awakened Falchion?" Lucina breathed out in surprise. "Incredible."

"If you say so." Raven shrugged. "Lately, I've been wondering if staying here is such a good idea. I'm not doing much to help others anymore, which was the reason I came here in the first place. Living in a relatively small tower with three boys and an alien can be irritating sometimes. And Robin..." She rolled her eyes and resumed looking for a spell to send the two interlopers home.

"What?"

"He doesn't want me to go. He wants me to stay."

Lucina chuckled lightly. "Ironic. Perhaps Naga did not send us here on accident after all."

Raven allowed a light smile to play at her lips for a moment. "Have you told him how you felt? It sounds like you haven't."

"No..." She hesitated. "He never saw the ruin of my future. He belongs to the past. He turned his back on fate and made a better future for us all. He should stay there."

"But you're his wife. Why would you try to leave him forever?"

Lucina buried her face in her hands. "I don't want to. I don't know what to do. I just tried running away because I couldn't deal with it all."

"You want my advice? Tell him what you told me. Maybe he'll finally relent and you two can go your separate ways, if you decide that's what you really want. Or don't. When I send you back, you can keep on going like before, but at least you won't be alone."

Raven stopped for a moment as she thought of her argument with Robin. It wasn't like she was leaving forever, but she didn't want to leave him, either. Why did it have to be one or the other?

The Boy Wonder knocked on Raven's door after setting up an inflatable mattress for the two travelers after dinner came and went and Raven announced she would need more time to set up the spell.

The door opened, and a single purple eye looked at him from the darkness. "Hey."

"Hey." He was quiet for a moment as he looked away, then pulled his mask off. "Listen... I was thinking about what you said before. I still don't want you to go, but if you really set on it, I won't stop you." The door opened all the way and Raven leaned against the frame. "I can't go with you, because I'm not ready to live peacefully... I don't know how. But... I don't want to end things between us, either. Even if it's long distance, I still want to be with you."

Raven looked between his eyes for a moment before rolling hers. "How can it be long distance when I can teleport?" She asked sarcastically. Robin chuckled and shook his head. "Besides, after talking with Lucina... I don't think... Well, I'm not quitting the team. But maybe it's time for a vacation. Somewhere we can just be ourselves for a little while before coming back. Surely you can manage that?"

Robin nodded, smiling slowly. "That's sounds like a plan."

She stood up and linked her arms behind his neck, then rose onto her toes to give him a light kiss. "Goodnight, boy blunder."

"Night, Rae."

Robin and Lucina were in front of the couch, preparing to lay down beside one another on the air mattress.

"We should find a way to bring Anna and Miriel here. If the four of us could patent these technologies in Ylisse, we could live off the royalties for several generations and never worry about anything again."

Lucina let out a quiet chuckle, which gave way to a surprised gasp as he wrapped both arms around her waist and pulled her down onto the air, bringing her flush against him and holding tightly. "Robin, what are you-"

His next words came out in a tone that stilled her with how serious he sounded. "What if Naga had sent you somewhere dangerous? Somewhere the people wouldn't help us? Those girls were flying on their own, for goodness sake. Who knows what kind of weapons they've invented here that we couldn't possibly fight back against? How could I have helped you if the five of them decided to attack?" His voice was low and angry and his face was buried in her blue hair. "What was I supposed to tell Morgan? 'Sorry kiddo, your mother died before you could remember her completely, better luck next time?' After she just got back another memory of you?"

She was about to rebuke him and pull out of his grasp, but he sniffled and took a shaky breath, and all of Lucina's resolve seemed to crumble.

"I can't believe you actually tried to run away... What did I do wrong? Tell me and I'll fix it, I'll do anything." He pleaded, holding her even tighter, making her acutely aware he was trembling.

There was silence between them for a while, before she gently turned in his grasp, pushing him onto his back and putting a hand on his chest. "It's not your fault, my love." She took a deep breath, then finally told him what she'd admitted to Raven earlier that day.

Robin didn't interrupt as she spoke. When she finished, she lay down beside him and he twined their fingers together. It was a long while before he spoke. "I'm sorry. You told me before you felt like you didn't belong, but if I had known how you felt about the circumstances leaving your own time..."

Lucina only nodded as she looked up at the ceiling.

"Well, if future me was the one that made you feel like a failure, then past me..."

Her vision was suddenly taken up by Robin grinning down at her as he propped himself up with one arm.

"Is going to make you feel like- a- winner!"

She snorted and laughed as she weakly tried to get away from Robin's kisses. Count on Robin to try and cheer her up any way he could, even if she could never make sense of his plans half the time.

He kissed her cheek. "You saved your father, your mother, and two different worlds!" He declared triumphantly.

She squirmed away and he kissed the nape of her neck. "You have a wonderful daughter!"

She tried to roll and he kissed the crown of her head. "You're a gifted swordswoman!"

She tried to get past him and he kissed her other cheek. "You're so adorable when you miss a joke and I get to explain it to you!"

She tried to fight him off and he kissed one hand. "And it's because of you..." His voice and his gaze softened, and he kissed her other hand before lowering his face so it was just an inch above hers. "That I'm here today. Don't ever forget - your voice was what called me back from the void I was stuck in while I freed myself from the Fell Dragon's blood."

Lucina swallowed hard - it was hard to believe that there were words that could have made her happier than hearing him say 'I do' on the altar, but when he told her how he'd come back after his death...

This time, she leaned up and kissed him.

When they parted, he tucked her hair behind her ear. "Better?" He smiled.

She screwed her eyes shut, but couldn't stop the few wayward tears from escaping. As he brushed them away, she nodded. "I'm sorry, Robin. I was afraid of the future I'd won, and haunted by the past I had failed to keep safe. I didn't know what to do..."

Robin knew better than anyone that Lucina would never be free of the troubles her upbringing. Before and after his death, he'd comforted her from the nightmares that still haunted her. A lifetime of trauma would not be undone with sweet words, affectionate gifts, and physical intimacy. But he was prepared and willing to be there with her late into the night and to make every day as bright as possible to make up for her dark past.

"You can trust me to be here for you. Here and now. Till death do us part... Again. Though, I'll try not to make a habit out of it."

Picking up on his joke for once, she laughed before pulling down to the bed with her, whispering a quiet, "Sweet dreams, Robin." Before closing her eyes as well.

Raven yawned as they stood on the roof. Preparing the spell had taken longer than she thought. The sun was still below the horizon, but it was lighting up the sky. A few persistent stars twinkled overhead.

"Alright." Raven rolled her neck as she raised her hood over her head. "Once I cast the spell, the portal will open and you'll be free to return to your home realm."

Lucina and Robin nodded.

Behind them, Rob and the other Titans couldn't help but notice the much improved mood between the couple.

"Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos!"

A portal similar to the one Lucina first travelled through opened, and both world travelers could see the Temple of Naga on the other side. "Wow, thanks!" Robin applauded as he walked forward.

"Thanks again! If you are ever in need of assistance, please cast your spell once more and call upon us. It would be the least we could do." Lucina turned and gave a wave as she trailed Robin.

"Bye y'all! Nice meeting some medieval fantasy time travelers!" Cyborg waved.

"Bring me a magic ring next time you visit!"

"Bye time traveling friends!"

"Till next time." Rob gave a two finger salute.

Raven merely smiled beneath her hood, then ended the spell once Robin and Lucina were safely on the other side.

Naga blinked and quickly hid her 'Teen Titans' comics out of sight as a portal appeared.

Lucina stepped forward and bowed. "Lady Naga, we have returned from that strange world... If you don't mind me asking, was it intentional on your part to send us there?"

"N-Yes." Naga cleared her throat. "You needed to speak to legendary heroes to sort out your true thoughts and feelings." She looked to the side as Robin gave her an incredulous look. "It's not my fault you interrupted my reading session."

Lucina didn't catch Naga's flub, and smiled brightly. "Then you have my gratitude. Please excuse us."

She grabbed Robin's hand and lead the way home.

A/N

Isn't it wild how Lucina runs away in her solo ending in Awakening? I love her so much, she's easily the best character in Awakening. Such a great, complex character. I hope I did some justice to her in this. Hopefully you enjoyed the first robrae content from me in a while, too, if you enjoy both. After I'm done with "Wedding Crasher", I might post some one-shots.
