Chapter 10:
Nita, Mickey, and Billy Joe were crying over Shmoo's pieces. "Shmoo, I'm sorry," says Billy Joe, "I ignored you! You're my best friend! Please, come back!"
Shmoo turns out to be alive and pulls himself back together. "He's alive," says Mickey.
"He really is full of surprises," says Nita.
"Shmoo, I meant every word of it," says Billy Joe. They then hugged.
"Let's go deal with Captain Mentor," says Nita.

Captain Mentor was at his hideout. "At last, the treasure is mine," says Captain Mentor. Then the lights go out and Shmoo appears and Captain Mentor screams, thinking he's seen a ghost. Shmoo grabs the disk piece and runs off. "Get back here!" Captain Mentor then chases after him.
...
Captain Mentor thinks he has him cornered, but then a bucket of water's dumped on him, causing him to short circuit. "No…" Shmoo then turns to a fist and punches him…
...
Captain Mentor was tied him. "He used high tech armor disguised as a superhero costume to make it look like he has powers," says Mickey.
"Now, let's see who he really is," says Nita as she unmasks Captain Mentor.
"Mr. Hanson," they all said.
"So, that's how he knew where we were," says Billy Joe, "because he's our boss!"
"And he did all of this for this thing," says Mickey.
"That treasure would've been mine if not for you meddling kids and your thing," says Hanson.

Hanson's then taken to jail…
