Chapter 2

The foot soldier sat perched on top of an abandoned watertower, scanning the surrounding city. The sun was going down, darkening the sky to navy blue, barely showing the stars as the lights of the city began shining.

Daiki sat patiently, shivering in the cold, while waiting for his device to notify him that the Hamato clan had set off one of his trackers. Which he'd set up in locations they'd been spotted at these last couple of days. It was a cold winters night, and his shozoku was not the warmest, and just sitting around wasn't helping too much.

He pulled his mask down, revealing a decent sized gap between his two front teeth as he took in the winter air. Letting out a warm breath of mist as he closed his eyes to listen to the quiet peaceful city.

Brzzz*

His eyes darted opened immediately at the sound, and he reached for his device. He received an automated message telling him the tracker had movement. Pulling up his mask and hood to his cover his face once more, he took off in the direction of his tracker. Leaping from skyraise to apartment complex to get to the activated tracker.

As he approached the first tracker, the same tone went off on his phone.

Brzzz*

He looked to see his device had a line of activated trackers, and with a satisfied smirk, he pocketed the device and hurried after the trail.

He ended up below a large warehouse, towering over the many shorter apartment roofs like the one he was currently on, and leaped to the fire escape of the warehouse swiftly. He huffed out a small sigh from his sprint, only to hear distance voices fill the air, a couple of floors up from where he was now perched on the fire escape.

Four voices.

He listened closely, deciphering the voices and breaking them down in his mind, like they were a line of code appearing on a screen.

Their were three males, all America sounding. One sounded soothing and calm, another gruff and annoyed, and the last one was young and child-like.

And the last voice was female, who sounded slightly Japanese accented and very smug.

Daiki narrowed his eyes, and silently crept up the remaining stairs.

They had been surveying on this rooftop for hours now, sitting in front of a triangular glass ceiling showing the inside of the manufacturing storehouse.

An Asian girl, who looked around seventeen years old with a short raven black ponytail, tied around a turquoise bandana, let out a weary sigh as the hours drew on slowly.

The kunoichi was dressed in a form fitted light maroon shozoku, with iron armour on her more vulnerable body parts.

With her beautiful amber eyes, she stood towards the edge, watching the flats from across the rooftop, looking for any signs of entry.

However, coming to stand beside her, was an a peculiar sight for anyone to see.

A large, human sized fern green turtle, a couple of inches taller then the girl, joined her by the edge. He was tall and athletic, and looked to be slightly younger by about a year.

He wore protective brown pads on his knees and elbows, and belt across his plastron and shell. Over his sapphire blue eyes, a neat and ironed blue bandana was wrapped over his head. But what stood out the most were his two japanese katana blades in their scabbards on his carapace.

He watched the streets with as much concentration as he could muster, but annoyance seeped onto his face at the loud ruckus distracting him from behind.

Said ruckus was caused by two other giant turtles, one was an kelly green, with a long and tattered red bandana, and the other was light green, with a short, orange bandana.

The red-clad turtle, who currently had the orange one in a headlock, was only just shorter then the girl by a few inches, but was still short and stocky compared to his blue-clad brother. He kept a pair of twin sai in a belt across his waist, and had a lightening bolt crack in the top of his plastron. His emerald green eyes seemed almost neon in certain lights.

The shortest, and smaller orange-clad turtle, similarly to the red, had a belt across his waist, but instead of Sai, had a pair of Nunchaku in place. And though he too was muscular, he seemed a bit more chubby then the other two. With tiny darkened freckles on his cheeks and shoulders, it gave off an overall younger appearance to his already baby-like face.

Leonardo, the leader in blue, inwardly groaned to himself, before whispering loudly to the other turtles. "Raph! Mikey! We're on surveillance! Your supposed to be silent!

Miwa snorted softly at Leonardo's annoyed whisper, wiping her ponytail behind her and taking the warning from their leader as a sign that Raphael and Michelangelo were once again getting on his nerves. She turned only slightly to see her two younger brothers still fighting between themselves.

With Michelangelo's blue eyes bulging from being in a headlock, screaming about how 'all-wise and powerful' Raphael was. In fact, he was particularly screaming, loud enough that the red-clad turtle could hear him over his strangling.

"Hold that thought Leo, Mikey hasn't begged for his life yet!" Raph smirked, whilst licking his finger and nearing it towards the orange-clad turtles earslit. "And?" He ushered.

Mikey took a shuddering breath in at the sight of the spit covered finger and let out a strained squeal. "And I'm a lowly worm beneath his feet, who isn't fit to live on the same planet as him, because he's so amazing and I'm a dirt clod!"

"Give it a break, Raph!" Miwa's voice cut in, trying to stay at a reasonable volume for a ninja on duty, Raph shot Miwa a glare as he ever so slightly relaxed his grip on Mikey's head, allowing the youngest to crawl his way out and over to his sister for safety, who in turn helped him up.

Raph growled in frustration, looking pointedly at Leo and raising his voice. "Why are we just sitting here! Instead of going out and actually finding the Krangg? We're wasting our time, Leo! For all we know this isn't even the right spot!"

Leonardo looked at him, unfazed by his little tantrum. "Just be patient Raphael."

"There's two words you don't see together." Miwa whispered to Mikey who snickerd, receiving a threatening glare from Raph.

"April said this is the spot, Raph. In the apartments just across from us. And that the warehouse was the best way into the Kraang Lab, being on the tenth floor. We just have to trust her on that. She's never been wrong when gathering Kraang Intel."

Raphael rolled his eyes in annoyance. He knew April wouldn't have given them the wrong address, her Father was on the line after all. But all this waiting around and not punching things was making him so bored!

He was about to voice his anger once more, but was cut off abruptly by the familiar screeching tires of a white van filling the street several stories below, He huffed out a breath of annoyance, crossing his arms moodily. "I shoulda complained an hour ago!"

"Let's move!" Leo said smirking at Raph, inwardly relived that April indeed wasn't wrong about the location.

The four ninjas ran to the end of the building, jumping down into the tenth floor balcony, to intersect the Kraang as they entered the building.

But Miwa however, stopped before jumping, she felt like she was being watched, and she knew better then to ignore her senses. She stayed still for a moment, listening. She felt two eyes on her... From behind!

In a flash, she pivoted on the spot to face the roof once more.

And there, silently watching from next to the glass rooftop, was a slender foot soldier crouched down, cast in shadow.

Miwa narrowed her eyes at him, raising her hand slowly for her back and pulling free her tantō. She looked him up, evaluating how much of a threat he was.

Throught the dark, a pale face greeted her back, With shoulder length fluffy brown hair and a black mask covering almost his entire face, except for a pair of intelligent mahogany eyes, looking back at her almost calculating, taking in all of her features.

He was dressed in a black shozoku with his own tweaks to it, which made him stand out as a more importantly ranked soldier like Xever or Bradford, and not just another scumbag picked off the streets and given a mask. Like his calves-high boots with steel toe caps, the fingerless gloves with extra padding on the knuckles, or the hood that he had pulled down, covering most of his head, with a mask covering the bottom part of his face from neck to nose bridge.

Daiki stood up from his crouch and stepped more into the light, Miwa noticed he looked a little shorter in height then Raphael.

He on the other hand, noticed her features looked very Asian, and thought to ask her for clarification. "Nihonjindesu ka?" 'Are you Japanese?'

He asked in a slow and studying voice.

Miwa stilled for a moment. A kid? His voice came out a lot younger then she expected for a foot ninja. She glanced over him in thought, surly he was no younger then her brother's?

She realized she'd been staring, and inwardly cursed herself for getting distracted while in the presence of an enemy and immediately changed her posture. Hoping to look more intimidating to the young boy.

"Sore wa tadashii desu." 'That's right.' She answered blankly, not wanting to reveal any more of her emotions to him.

Daiki stared back at her, seeing her size him up maybe him feel uneasy, and he admittedly wasn't the best at confrontations. But he was trained to deal with these types of things. He moved passed the glass roof, to get directly in front of her, slightly glaring his eyes at her.

Miwa kept complete eye contact with him, and more so, his weapon on his back. Never wavering while talking directly to him. "Eigo o hanasemasu ka?" 'Do you speak English?' She asked casually.

He paused for a moment, almost hesitantly, before answering almost uncomfortably. "Hai." 'Yes.'

Miwa smirked, holding her Tantō next to her leg in clear view of him, he clearly wasn't too skilled in talking, he seemed rather awkward. She could play with his uneasiness to her advantage, to get some info out of him perhaps? Raising an eyebrow, she asked, "So, can I ask why you feel the need to follow me?"

He looked at her smugly, pulling a Kunai out of his sleeve and twiddling with it in a skilled show with his fingers. "What makes you think I'm following you?" Even he was silently amazed by his unfazed demeanour.

She blinked, then looked at the small red foot insignia on his right shoulder. "Your in the Foot Clan, are you not?"

She asked in a toned voice, annoyed at the sarcasm coming from him. He nodded once, looking back at her with a calculating gaze again.

"And you are of the Hamato Clan?" He asked matter of factly, pointing the kunai at the crest embellishment on her shozoku. Her eyes darted quickly to follow his gaze, then back to him, narrowing her eyes.

He hummed in amusement at her reaction, gaining a little confidence to tease her with. "It's weird though, I thought there were four of you up here? It doesn't matter to me of course. This just makes my night easier then four against one, though I'm sure I could of taken you all."

Miwa shifted her stance to a defensive one, knowing this kid was meaning to start a fight, though how well he could fight, was still up for debate.

He didn't really think he was good enough to take on four highly trained ninjas, right? She thought to herself, only to have said thought interrupted by the familiar call of one of her brothers.

"Yo Sis! You totally missed out!" Came Mikey's cheerful voice as the three turtles came to join her side on the rooftop after taking care of the Kraang. Raph followed soon after, looking angry and once again bored at the lack of heads to bash.

Leonardo joined them seconds later, looking at his sister worried and annoyed as he raced to join her first, trying to figure out the reason for her absence, only to look across the roof briefly and see why.

He drew out one of his katanas as quick as lightning and pointed it to the ninja across from him, soon followed by a much more attentive Raph and mildly confused Mikey.

Daiki on the other hand, was in pure shock at the three large reptiles that just walked up to this girl, the only words he managed out were stammered in his confusion.

"K-kame?"'T-turtles?' Daiki was quick to try and rein in his composure, blinking as his eyes tried to adjust to the giant turtles in front of him, these's were the other Hamatos students?

He know there was something off about them, but this? This was something scientifically impossible!

"So" Miwa said smugly looking at the boys shocked eyes. "What's was that about four against one?"

Daiki tensed at her words and got into a readying position, pulling out four more kunai as he did. The turtles noticed this and took to a similar fighting stance by Miwa's side.

"Oh yeah? He thinks he's that good does he?" Raphael laughed, looking Daiki up and down with a hint of humour in his eyes at the small boys reaction to them. "We'll see how well he does against an actual ninja, and not just some weak kid in a Halloween costume!"

Daiki's eyes locked onto him like magnets, after he looked around the rooftop in one quick swoop calculating his attack. When he was confident on his plan he crossed both his arms into a 'x' and throw the kunai in his hands in several directions, scattering across the roof.

Four pairs of eyes blinked in unison, laced with confusion that he just missed all of them.

Daiki leapt forward while they were confused, and pulled a short tantō free with one hand out from behind his back, while the other threw three small circular balls onto the floor in front of them. Exploding on contact to the ground and spreading a thick purple mist across the rooftop, blinding the Hamato's temporarily, while they coughed and hacked on the fumes.

"Dudes!" Mikey coughed and hacked, "S-smoke bombs?! Why don't we- *cough cough* have smoke bombs!?" He screamed in excitement, soon turned terror, as several kunai then came raining down on them from different directions, keeping each of them occupied as they narrowly avoided being brutally pierced, getting a few cuts as they ricocheted off the floor.

He was like a shadow, the black of his uniform masked his form, blending him into the surrounding darkness, with only the Foot's red insignia flashing by every now and then.

Daiki took this time of them being temporarily blinded to engage before the smoke died down, and run up to the turtle that challenged him the most and kneed him straight under the chin. Before delivering a hard knock to his forehead with the hilt of his tantō, disorienting him long enough to push a pressure point on his neck, dropping him to his knees, to then be kicked hard on the shoulder, knocking Raphael back a few feet onto his shell, temporarily out cold.

"Raph!" The leader yelled as the other turtle rolled to a stop near him.

Daiki looked left to see Michelangelo come charging at him, swinging his nunchakus at him frantically, while making very animated sounds. Daiki had to leap back to avoid his frenzied swings.

Mikey, having backed Daiki up a bit, got a tight hold of one of his chucks and threw it around the boy, trapping his arms, before pulling with both hands to send Daiki to the ground.

The human had analysed this attempt however, and steadied his footing, before twisting around fast, bringing the chain towards himself along with a surprised Michelangelo.

Stamping one foot down hard onto the chain to pull the turtle closer, he then flung his other leg straight out and landed a powerful steel caped kick to the turtle's stomach, launching him backwards, colliding with the just waking Raph.

He pulled the chains off and chucked them back down at the orange turtle annoyed.

Daiki took a moment to look back at the aftermath the delivering kick did, only to have the end of a katana blade pierce straight by his head. He pulled sideways quickly, cursing himself inwardly for getting distracted, and instinctively brought out his bō in front of him to block the second katana. Only to meet face to face with the blue turtle, his piercing blue eyes bore into his mahogany ones.

"Who are you!" The blue turtle snarled at him, clearly annoyed that he'd taken two of his team out in less then a couple of minutes.

Before he got his answer however, Daiki pushed of the blue turtle's blade just in time to duck under Miwa's side sweep with her tantō, too which he twirled his bō back and knocked her in the stomach backwards. He pulled the bō forward and jab at the turtle in front of him, straight in the neck, knocking the air out of his throat for a moment, and disorienting him long enough to send him down hard by kicking him in the chest.

He then lift the bō back up, just in time to block Miwa's tantō from being brought down onto his shoulder.

"Morikawa" He said with strained breath, sliding his finger over a hidden button and ejecting a blade at both ends of the bō. Just catching Miwa's arm and cutting her deep. She pulled away with a hiss, covering her wound.

Standing over the now fallen ninjas, Daiki spoke confidently after his victory. "My name is Daiki Morikawa. Remember it, Hamato Clan! As I will help my Master to defeat the Great Hamato Yoshi, and all of his followers! For all the pain and suffering he has caused!"

The four ninjas stared at him in shock, wide eyed. Leonardo tensed at that sentence, and looked up at the boy and into his eyes, they were full... of pure hate.

Daiki saw Leo staring, and felt the confidence drain once more. He straightened up, deciding he'd gotten what he needed tonight, rubbing the back of his neck sighing. "Well I think I've done enough for tonight, don't you?"

He looked at them with a proud attitude. "Try and give me a little bit of a challenge next time. I don't want to get bored with just hitting you around, you know?" He smirked with an edge of cockiness to him before departing, "Jikai made!"'Until next time!'

Daiki grabbed a small ball out of his belt and throw it to the ground, where it erupted into a quick cloud of thick purple smoke, evaporating fast, and leaving no one but the four Hamatos on the rooftop alone.

"Dudes..., That was kinda cool" Mikey said enthusiastically, still hyped about the smoke bombs, whilst he rubbed at his aching stomach.

"Cool ain't the word I'd use." Raphael said gruffly, wiping his thumb over a new cut on his bicep from the kunai. "What type of coward blinds his enemies and knocks em out cold within the first five seconds of a fight! A scared little kid is who!?"

Miwa stared at the spot where the ninja once stood holding her bleeding arm to stop the flow, Leonardo shared a concerned look at where the smoke vanished, while passing her the bandages wrapped over his palm.

She looked back with a mixture of anger and annoyance, and steadily tightened the wraps around the wound. "This means that the Shredder is bringing in more allies. Who all have some sort of grudge against Father, right?"

Leonardo looked back at her and nodded, putting a comforting hand on her good shoulder, "But we'll be ready for them Sis. No matter what they throw at us, we'll take them down." He said smiling warmly at her.

She smirked back, before peering off into the distance with a thoughtful glance. "Though I think we should tell Father about this? He might know who that was?"

The others nodded in silent agreement, and departed back to their home.

Daiki watched them leave from far in distance, hidden behind a billboard.

He pulled out his phone, and wrote down all the useful information he'd learnt tonight about his new foes.

He thought to the turtle with the piercing sapphire eyes, who held him at knife point.

•Blue Turtle - Katana, Very fast!, Stealthy! (Possibly Leader?) - Leonardo.

He thought about the turtle with green eyes, who was ready to charge him like a rabid animal.

• Red Turtle - Sai, Strong, Anger problems. (Possibly Strongest) - Raphael.

He thought about the orange-clad turtle. And his excitement when he saw the smoke bombs. And Daiki couldn't help but smirk as he remembered the stunned awe on his face.

•Orange Turtle - Nunchaku, Fights without thinking, Distractable, (Gullible?) - Mikey.

He then paused, his finger's hovering over the keyboard. That girl, she had known he was there...

He hummed in thought, and tapped,

• Japanese Girl - Tantō, Close combat, (Good sense.) - Name?...

He thought about her name for a moment, then a moment more... They had said it, right?

Then he remembered the only feminine name said tonight and added it to his notes.

The Japanese girl must be called... April?

Note from Me!: Hope you all enjoyed this chapter!

- Yall ever noticed whenever Donnie fights without a weapon he uses his legs like alot? That boy has legs of steel or something xD

- Also my theroy is that if Donnie was born and raised human, he would have the resources to make better and improved weapons? Like the smoke bombs for example? Instead of egg shells, he was able to manufacture a smaller circular capsule for the powder to go into?

- Also Daiki thinking Miwa is called April? :0 That won't cause any problems. Right?

Any feedback or reviews would be great! Just to know if people actually like this!

Thanks again! :D
