Izuku's New World

"Forget it, kid. It's just not going to happen… you're never going to become a hero." Those words that the quirk doctor used to crush Izuku's dreams back when he was 4 years old. From that moment forward, everyone looked at him like he's a plague. No wanted to be near him. Everyone around him had a quirk and he didn't; it was like being a human being in a field of monsters.

His mom's words weren't any better that day when she hugged him and cried apologizing to him saying that she's sorry that she didn't give him a quirk. That day was the worst day of his life, because between the doctor's words and his mother's words left him feeling empty on the inside.

After that day, it was the beginning of hell's gates for Izuku. All the children around him looked at Izuku with disdain, but Izuku has hoped that his best friend Kacchan would stick by his side, but that was a dream built in mirage, because Kacchan changed drastically and began to treat Izuku like they aren't friends beginning to call Izuku 'Deku' for some reason. This itself was the beginning of years of countless torment on Kacchan's hands and other people's hands where Izuku was used as a quirk training dummy. No one tried to help him, even though he always tried to help everyone, so it's safe to say that Izuku grew up to have a personality so meek, that a caterpillar can terrify him.

An additional factor that didn't help Izuku's growth was how the adults treated him like scum. They looked at him like he's a diseased good, always turning a blind eye for the harsh treatment that Izuku was being subjected under giving Izuku a severe sense of distrust toward authority figures.

Though through everything, Izuku remained hopeful because, he still had a dream to become a hero. He wasn't going to allow other people to put him down, even if one of those people is his mother who never had fate in Izuku's ability to become a hero, even if she didn't say it out loud.

Izuku deep down knew he could be one, because the number hero himself said it that anyone could be a hero. He looked up to All Might; Izuku dedicated his life to be just like him a person who can save other people with a smile. So, growing up, Izuku kept hanging on that dream like a lifeline in front of him to keep Izuku going even if the odds seemed against him, but little did Izuku know that the old saying 'Don't meet your heroes' was absolutely correct.

Present day, Izuku was sitting in his seat inside the classroom in Aldera Junior High looking outside the window thinking about the earlier fight between Kamui Woods and the purse snatcher chuckling to himself a little bit at the villain's reaction when Kamui woods described the purse attack as the crime of the century.

Usually, Izuku would tune out everyone in hopes of being left alone, but that was a fragile hope especially with his teacher walking into the room with a glint in his eyes as he held the future career tests that they did last weekend, so Izuku said his prayers and prepared for a very painful day ahead of him. that glint meant one thing which was that the teacher was going to do something to put a target on Izuku's back.

The teacher smiled at the classroom and said, "I read all of your tests and I read a lot of your hopes and dreams…" the teachers then threw the test papers into the air, "…but who am I kidding? All of you are planning to become heroes one day." The classroom burst into action as all the students used their quirks expect Izuku who didn't have one and Bakugo who was silent.

The teacher looked at Bakugo and said, "Bakugo, in your test, I saw that you're planning to go into UA university. I heard that the entrance exam is very hard, but someone like you won't have a trouble." The students looked stared at Bakugo in awe as they whispered about the UA's hero passage rate which was close to 0.4% since the entrance exam were very hard.

"Well, you don't have to say that twice, teach." Bakugo stood up flexing his muscles, "UA is meant for the best of the best, and I'm the only person who's going to enter it in 3 years." Everyone stared at Bakugo, "You losers are all staring at next number one hero while the rest of you chums are going to be lucky if you become D-listers living in their parents' garage." The students all began to protest in anger as Bakugo made small explosions from his hands, "Don't blame me, if you're quirks are pathetic. You'll witnessing the birth of the person who's going to beat All Might. The person who is going to be the most famous, wealthiest and strongest…"

The teacher then said, "Midoriya, I also saw in your career tests." The teacher paused for a moment before he carried on, "I saw that you're also aiming for the hero course in UA." The effect was almost immediate as the class began laughing at Izuku who tried to sink into the ground hoping to disappear and avoid the inevitable beating that was in his future.

Before Izuku could even react, an explosion hit his desk as Bakugo grabbed Izuku by his shirt, "Deku, are you trying to compete with me? Have you lost your mind? UA doesn't even allow quirkless people to enter their hero course! What are you planning to do? Weasel your way in?"

Izuku gulped, "I'm not trying to compete with anyone. I just want to become a hero." Izuku lifted his hands slightly, "Plus, you don't know. UA can remove that rule and I can enter…"

Izuku didn't get to finish that statement as Bakugo blasted him into the wall behind him as Bakugo began to release small sparks from his hands with other students gathering behind him. The scene began to shift in Izuku's eyes as Bakugo looked more like a monster with everyone else looking like shadows surrounding the explosion boy as Bakugo said, "Deku, why won't you get it? Pigs will sprout wings and fly before the day that you can become a hero. You're nothing but dirt under my shoe."

Before Bakugo can do anymore damage, the teacher said, "Bakugo, you know the rules. No quirk usage in class. Please, go back into you seat."

Bakugo whirled around looking at the teacher who winked at him as Bakugo grumbled and walked back to his seat with the teacher looking at Izuku saying, "Midoriya, detention after school for antagonizing Bakugo."

Izuku merely nodded his head knowing there is no point in arguing since all the teachers looked out for Bakugo, because who would want the student with the bright future fail.

After the classes have ended, Izuku was picking up his stuff when he was cornered by Bakugo and his cronies as Bakugo said, "Hey, Deku, did you think that you're off the hook? Well, think again." The boy let out small explosions from his palms, "I still have unfinished business with you."

"Come on, guys. Please let me go." Izuku pleaded as he tried to walk through the door, "I just want to go to detention before I get into even more trouble." Izuku's attempt was stopped when one of Bakugo's cronies pulled him back and opened Izuku's backpack and took a notebook out.

"Look at this," the crony said flipping the notebook around, "I think this is his little dairy."

"Hey, come on. Give it back to me." Izuku tried to take the notebook only for the crony to throw it to Bakugo who caught it as Izuku said, "Please, Kacchan. Give me my notebook back. I have to…"

Bakugo tuned Izuku out and read the title of the notebook, "Heroes for the future volume 18?" Bakugo looked at Izuku grabbing the boy and shoving him into the desks as Bakugo said, "You should know by now that a great hero needs an amazing backstory. Kinda like the unknown hero who comes from the crappy unknown school, so I'll only say this once Deku." Bakugo then burned the notebooks between his hands, "If in 3 years, I saw applying to UA, I'm going to burn you alive."

Bakugo then threw the notebook from the window as Izuku looked outside the window seeing that his notebook was now food for the fish. Bakugo then walked away saying, "Hey Deku, I have an advice that will help you become a hero one day…" Izuku looked at Bakugo who glanced a little at the green-haired boy, "Take a swan dive off the roof and hope for a quirk in your next life."

Izuku looked at Bakugo angrily as Bakugo stared back devilishly asking, "Any problem?" Izuku merely shook his head as he slid down the wall in defeat with Bakugo finally leaving the room.

Minutes later, Izuku was grabbing his notebook from the pond, "Get away from it. This isn't food, you stupid fish." Izuku then walked away from school deciding to skip detention, "Stupid Kacchan. How can he something so rude? What if I actually killed myself? What will he do then?"

Izuku walked toward his house using a short cut he knew. Izuku sighed at the sudden turn of events in his day and how it went from bad to worse to worst in moments. As Izuku passed under a bridge, he heard a motion from a manhole which made Izuku gulp as something begin to emerge from it.

Izuku took a few steps back as some form of sludge emerged from the manhole. The sludge then formed revealing eyes and a mouth as it looked at Izuku, "A medium sized suit. Can be better, but I'm in a hurry here, so I can't get to whine about it a lot."

Izuku tried to run away only for the sludge monster to send tentacles and wrap them around Izuku's body before pulling the boy back and engulfing Izuku in the sludge with the sludge monster forcing his way into Izuku's mouth saying, "Thanks for being my hero, kid. Don't worry about it. It will only take a couple of moments before you feel absolutely nothing."

As Izuku began to feel the lack of oxygen get the better of him, he wondered if this is the end for him. In his last moments before losing consciousness, Izuku saw a very blurry vision of a girl asking him when they'll watch the sunrise together without no worry.

Moments later, Izuku felt something tapping his cheek until the boy slowly opened his eyes and was greeted by a sight that made his skin crawl in excitement as Izuku yelled, "All Might! This can't be real. I must be dreaming." The boy blurted out as he stared at the number one hero.

All Might then laughed, "But what you're seeing is true, young man." All Might flexed a bit saying, "I am the symbol of peace All Might." The man then bowed slightly, "I'm sorry for the inconvenience and the harm, young man. Usually, civilians don't get dragged into my fights, but our sludge friend proved to be very crafty. He used the sewage system to confuse me."

Izuku didn't process most of those things, but only asked All Might, "Wait!" the boy looked around in fear and confusion as if an enemy would jump from the shadows, "Where is the villain?"

All Might then lifted two bottles that contained the unconscious sludge villain, "Here, he is."

Izuku's eyes glowed, "This is so cool." He then tried to fish into his backpack for his notebook as All Might laughed and asked Izuku, "Are you looking for this, young man?" The hero then presented Izuku with the notebook the boy was carrying with All Might's signature on it.

"Oh my God," Izuku muttered before he began bowing profusely thanking the hero promising to value and cherish this signature in his family bloodline as the hero chuckled slightly.

All Might then declared, "Well, young man. It was a pleasure meeting you, but villains don't sleep, so neither do I." the hero prepared to leave with Izuku looking at him in worry, since Izuku had something to ask All Might. The boy said, "Wait a minute. There's so many things I need…"

Seeing that the hero was planning to leave, Izuku clung to his pants to try and stop him only for the hero to jump into the air not noticing the boy clinging to his pants or that the bottles containing the villain were about to slip, so Izuku gathered all courage and grabbed them before they fly.

All Might then muttered, "I don't know why, but for some reason, I feel a bit heavier than usual."

Izuku then yelled, "That's because I'm stuck to your leg." All Might looked down at Izuku who's face looked like it was being stretched by the air. The hero tried to get Izuku off him, but Izuku then pointed out that if All Might kicks him off, Izuku will fall to his death.

All Might sighed, "Right, so hold on, young man." The hero then landed on a nearby building as he looked at Izuku who was catching his breath in gulps of unfiltered fear, "Young man…"

"That was the most terrifying thing I ever did in my life." Izuku said before looking at All Might and lowering his head, "Yes, All Might, sir."

The hero shook his head, "Young man, what you did today was extremely reckless. You could have hurt yourself. Look, I know that you saw the number one hero, but that still isn't an excuse for you to put yourself in harm's way. If I didn't notice you, you could've fell off me at some point and I guarantee that the result wouldn't have been pretty."

"I know," Izuku said in shame, but he then handed All Might the sludge villain's bottles, "But I saw those almost fall from your pants, so I suppose this is a silver lining."

All Might stared at the bottles for a bit before sighing, "In that case, thank you." All Might took the two bottles and tucked them into his front pocket saying, "Here, this will make sure they won't fall." He then turned to Izuku, "Now, young man. Knock on the door and I'm sure someone will let you down, but I have to go…" All Might readied himself to leap.

Izuku then waved his hands, "Wait, sir! I need to ask you a question. You can't just leave yet."

All Might shook his head, "I'm sorry, but I can't. I'm on a tight schedule here and I can…" All Might was cut off by Izuku who bowed and said, "Can someone quirkless become a hero?" All Might's eyes widened as he muttered, "Quirkless," The man suddenly felt a pain in his side as steam began to rise from his body as All Might mentally groaned, 'Seriously?! Right now, of all times?!'

"I always wanted to be a hero like you. Someone who can save people with a smile," Izuku began a passionate speech about his love for heroics, "I am quirkless, but I don't let that make me feel down because I always looked up to you, so do you think that someone like me…" Izuku stopped dead in his tracks as he looked at All Might covered in steam before the man exploded leaving someone or something in his wake. As the steam cleared, Izuku was shell-shocked for a lack of a better term, because standing in front was no longer All Might, but some skeletal man that is wearing All Might's clothes as Izuku took a step back, "What's happening here?"

All Might then said, "Calm down, young man." The deflated hero waved with his hands, "This is still me, All Mi-GRKH…" The man stopped mid-speech spiting out blood as Izuku took a few steps.

Izuku said, "This is impossible. All Might is big strong man with a fearless smile. You can't be him."

"A fearless smile, you say?" The man said before chuckling, "Oh believe me, young man. There is a lot of fear beneath this smile. Now listen here, young man." All Might faced Izuku, "Don't go around telling your friends around this. this is the real me, kid." He lifted his shirt revealing a ghastly wound on his side, "2 years ago, I went into a huge fight with a villain, and let's just say that person didn't let me off easily and gave me the love tap of a lifetime. That villain managed to destroy my stomach and one of my lungs, and because of that I'm slowly wasting away. My hero time has been reduced to a mere 8 hours a day. Honestly, I didn't expect for my cover to blown now, but looking back at it, I did overwork myself yesterday only to do the same today, so… yeah."

Izuku hummed, "Okay, okay. You're saying this happened 2 years ago?" All Might nodded as Izuku carried on, "But the only major fight you had was Toxic Chainsaw and he didn't leave a scratch on back then." Izuku tilted his head in confusion trying to connect the dots.

"You know your stuff, kid." All Might chuckled, "But you're right. That little punk didn't leave a scratch. If anything, he needed teeth implants after I was finished with him, but the person I fought was someone so deadly that the fight was off grid. In other words, not available for the public." All Might then ran his hand through his hair, "So, now about your question, young…"

Izuku quicky replied, "Midoriya, sir. Izuku Midoriya."

All Might nodded, "Right, Izuku Midoriya. You asked me if someone quirkless can be a hero, right?"

Izuku nodded rapidly as All Might seemed to contemplate what to say next before speaking, "Young Midoriya, a symbol of peace can't be daunted by evil no matter the circumstances. A true hero should be always ready to face danger so that's why I smile in the face in danger, because deep down, I'm afraid like everyone else but the smile helps push the fear away." All Might then stopped for a bit before saying, "As for your question, I'm sorry, but you can never be a hero. Someone powerless would be an easy target for the villains. You just aren't prepared."

Izuku stared dumbly as dread washed over him. he heard All Might's answer, but he couldn't believe, because wasn't this the same man who would go on televisions and say to the public that anyone can be a hero? Why is he now saying the opposite of his own speech and dialogue?

"If you're interested in helping people, you can be a firefighter, doctor, or policeman?" All Might suggested as he stood and headed to the door, "Sure, they all get a lot of crap for cleaning after heroes, but they are still a respectable profession. It's nice to dream, kid, but make sure your dreams are realistic and within reach." And with those final words, All Might left the roof.

Izuku just stood there. For some reason, he didn't feel sad. He didn't feel angry. He just felt hollow like all his will to live was drained. For years, Izuku has held to All Might's words like it was holy texture from the sky itself, but now, he felt hollow like someone has taken dreams, torn them up, stomped on them, spat on them, before setting them on fire for safe measure. And this was what All Might did right now.

All the abuse, the bullying, the bad treatment, the blows, the taunting, the quirk abuse, the names, the looks of contempt and disdain, the sabotage for everything he did, the disregard for his well-being, and the beatings came back rushing at him full force. He felt his mind snap in pain and agony as he let out a gut-wrenching scream of frustration before slumping in defeat.

Realistic. All Might told him to be realistic, but Izuku was realistic. No job expect heroism would open up for someone quirkless. Why take a quirkless doctor, when there's someone with a suitable quirk? What's the point of a quirkless policeman, when some police with a suitable quirk filled his place? Everything Izuku searched through required a quirk in the job application expect heroism for some reason didn't require one because some quirks are so obscure or circumstantial that it was borderline quirkless, so all in all, Izuku was realistic.

Izuku sniffed as he remembered Katsuki's words earlier that day. They ran in his ears like a cursed rhythm as they eat Izuku from inside out. "If you want to be a hero, take a swan dive off the roof and pray to have a quirk in your next life."

Izuku sat there. For the first time in his life, Izuku contemplated if he should end this all. If it's time to end that the charade that his life meant anything, because it didn't. No one would miss him expect his mom, and even she would eventually move on with her life. He had no future outside dead-end jobs that pay no respect, getting killed by villain, and the final option killing himself. So, if his life was giving to be hell, he'd at least go out on his own terms, not some else's.

Taking a paper for his bag, Izuku began to write his suicide note. He wrote all his frustrations into this letter blaming everyone who had ever wronged him or looked wrong in his general direction with Bakugo being at the top of this list as Izuku described how the boy made Izuku's life a living hell, followed by his teachers and classmates who abused Izuku at every moment they could do it, and finally at the bottom of the list was All Might as Izuku called him out for being hypocrite and a liar for saying stuff he doesn't actually mean. Izuku finally wrote a gentle note of appreciation for his mother as he prepared himself to take the dive of fate.

Hearing movement coming to the roof, Izuku used his gurkan tie the handle of the door to prevent anyone from stopping him as he heard a male voice asking if someone was there. Taking off his shoes, Izuku put the letter under one of the shoes as he walked toward the railing and climbed over it as he looked down at the street as the people began to slowly gather with some of them taking out their phones to record. Knowing it was now or never, Izuku let go of himself and allowed himself to fall toward the ground. As Izuku sailed down toward the ground, he felt like time was stretching around him as he wondered why was it taking so long, as for the briefest of moments, he thought about how sad his mother will be after hearing about this, but she'll move on and have a life for once instead of stressing over him. Izuku's final thought as he hit the pavement was feeling happy that his mother will be free of his burden as he mentally said, 'Thank you, mom. Thank you for loving me.' And then…

Crunch…

Izuku hit the pavement with audible crack as the boy felt all the bones in his body get annihilated from the crash against the ground, but worst of all, he was still alive. He was in complete agony as he felt how his bones were groaning in pain and how some of his organs were punctured by his ribs. Izuku's thoughts were a haze as he chuckled bitterly to himself that even in killing himself, he failed and was now withering in agony. 'Maybe Bakugo was right. Maybe, I am just a Deku.' Izuku thought as unconsciousness began to seep in.

Before unconsciousness can claim him, Izuku heard some ruckus but he couldn't tell what. It seemed like someone was talking to him, but everything he was hearing right now felt like static in his ears, so he wasn't exactly understanding anything right now.

Suddenly, someone grabbed Izuku and jerked his head upward forcing Izuku to look into two bright orbs as he heard a masculine voice say, "This will keep you alive, Midoriya." And with that, Izuku's mind began to swirl as he finally gave to unconsciousness.

Standing in front of a ruined village side house, a man of huge stature looked at the blood smeared ruins as he cried, "Poor family… to meet such a horrible fate." The man then looked down at the only surviving member of this family who was clinging to life by a thread.

The man then lifted the boy and said, "Let's take you to the headquarters. I'm sure lady Amane would be able to heal you, young man."

The boy in question was 13-year-old child with brown- dark hair. The man then disappeared in a blink of an eye.

Weeks later, Izuku groaned as his body ached in pain. He really hated his life at this moment. He tried to kill himself, but not only did he fail miserably, he also felt incredible pain while he was at it. Yeah, his mom was going to tear him a new one once she knows that he's awake. Izuku silently cursed at his savior, because the point of one killing himself is kinda void if someone saves you.

Izuku remained in his position, but something right now didn't feel right. The first thing was that the bad he was on was stiff as nails. In fact, it felt more like a futon than anything else. Also, Izuku didn't open his eyes yet, but he could tell he wasn't in a hospital, because there was a distinctive lack of aesthetic smell which was usually pleasant inside the hospitals.

When Izuku finally adjusted himself to see where he was, he looked around and saw that he was in a place that seemed directly out of one of those cultural houses. Something similar to old styled Japanese house. 'So, the person who saved me also kidnapped me. Great!' Izuku mentally hummed.

Izuku looked around. There was no sign of any modern machinery that is usually associated with medical treatment, so Izuku had to give his respect to those people for saving his life without any sort of advanced techniques besides the primitive ones Izuku supposes that they used.

Izuku then heard movement coming near him room, so he looked toward the door waiting to see who was the person who saved his life, or at the very least assisted in saving his life, because for all he knows this could be a nurse. Izuku titled his head in interest as the door opened and someone entered the room.

The newcomer was a woman wearing a salmon-colored kimono topped by a purple haori. The woman was of average height with a pale complexion and large plum-colored eyes. Her hair was white swept to the left and the right at the front with a small ponytail at the back with two small strands of hair loose at the sides of her head. The woman stared at Izuku and said calmly, "It appears that you're have finally woken up. It's been 14 weeks since you're been brought here."

Izuku blinked in confusion. He was here for 14 weeks without any form of life support with primitive healing methods. 'Okay, I hate to admit it, but they are good.' Izuku thought to himself.

"Yeah, thanks for looking after me," Izuku stated but left out, 'but you kinda ruined my whole suicide plan, so yeah. Let's call it even.' Izuku looked around and asked, "Can I ask where I am?"

The woman replied, "You're in the headquarters of the demon slayer corps. Your family has been attacked by a demon and you barely survived the encounter." The woman then stated, "Usually, people would have been to the local infirmary of the corps, but demon activity has been particularly aggressive these past few months with the retirement of one of our best demon slayers."

Izuku blinked dumbly. Okay, he decided to ignore the mention of demons and demon slayer corps, because this sounded like a bad manga in the making, and because Izuku tried to kill himself and the only demon that attacked him was All Might's cruel words.

Deciding it was best to change the subject, Izuku said, "So, I've been out for the past few weeks. My apologies for being such a handful."

The woman shook her head, "It's no problem." The woman then introduced herself, "My name is Amane Ubuyashiki, and what is your name, young man?"

Izuku coughed a little, "My name is Izuku Midoriya. I'm from Mutsutafu city." Izuku then noticed something on Amane's face. Confusion. It was like she never heard of Mutsutafu in her life as Izuku decided to ignore the increased oddity of the situation, "So, Miss Amane, I'm sorry that I imposed myself for 14 weeks, but I suppose it's time for me to go home to my mother, so I'm going to take my leave." Izuku attempted to stand up, but Amane gently grabbed him and settled him back into his futon as Izuku asked, "Is there a specific reason you're preventing me from going home?"

Amane replied softly, "I'm sorry to inform you this, but the demon that attacked your family killed everyone including your mother, father, sisters and brothers. You only survived because you arrived near the end and have been saved by a demon slayer."

"Ma'am…" Izuku started trying not to sound impolite as much as he can, "I don't know what you're talking about, but my dad is safely hidden in America with his new mistress and my mother last I remember went to her nursing job so I'm pretty sure that she hasn't been killed by any demons." Izuku then hummed, "Also, one more thing. I'm an only child so there's no way I have siblings."

The woman stared at him for a moment as Izuku felt her gaze peeling his soul apart, and somehow this felt even more terrifying than the sludge demon. Amane then spoke, "Midoriya-san, I can assure that what I am saying is the truth. The person who saved you can vouch for my word."

"Right, the person who saved me from this 'demon' attack," Izuku said skeptically before stating, "expect that never happened because last I recall is that threw myself off a building trying to end my life because my existence meant little to nothing in society's plan."

Now it was Amane's turn to seem shocked. The woman was silent for a bit not knowing how to process this situation, because from her point of view, one of the hashira brought a child attacked by a demon to her to patch him up because the infirmary was full, but from Izuku's point of view, she is hearing him explain how he threw himself off a building trying to end his life. The woman supposed that perhaps the traumatic experience of seeing his family killed was too much for Izuku's mind to bear, so he came up with this story as a coping mechanism. She had seen many people experience denial after a demon attack, but this was the first time where she saw a case this extreme.

Sensing he was going nowhere, Izuku stood and said, "Thanks for taking care of me, but I have to go." Izuku bowed calmly and slipped past the woman, "Now, I'll leave you and your organization to do whatever you people do. bye."

With that, Izuku left the room quickly in a hurry with the grace of wounded antelope escaping barely escaping from a lion.

Amane stared briefly before walking outside the mansion. She looked and saw Izuku leave. A crow landed near her as she said, "Please tell Himejima-san to bring back the boy before he does something dangerous to himself." The crow nodded as it took flight.

Izuku looked behind him back at the mansion that he just escaped from… he didn't leave; he escaped, because this woman was trying to feed him some crazy story about demons attacking a family he didn't have. Izuku suddenly tripped over his own feet feeling a killer headache like his mind was being hammered with tiny mallets before Izuku shook his head and continued to walk.

Izuku looked down at the bandages covering his body and tore them off trying to feel a little bit restricted. The boy continued to walk as he took in his surroundings. There were people of different ages walking around or patrolling. They were all wearing the same outfit from a black vest and dark pants, but worst of all is the fact that all of them were armed with swords while Izuku was as dangerous as a deer in a lion convention.

Izuku thought back to what the woman told him. 'Demon slayers? She called this organization Demon slayers.' The boy thought quietly to himself, 'Oh dear lord, this is the end for me, isn't it? This must be some anti-quirk cult where people with quirks are seen as monsters or demons. Like the CRC where everyone with a mutation quirk is seen as a monster.'

Izuku contained looking and noticed how no one showed signs of having a quirk, because usually even emitter quirks left some marks on the user or signs, but nope nothing. He was a quirk nerd after all so he knew his stuff. 'Is this some kind of quirkless cult of killers?' the idea seemed as a novelty for Izuku, but at the same time, he didn't want to stick around to see if his suspicions were true or not, because either way, it wasn't going to end in his favor.

Izuku then felt a sharp pain in his chest and looked down at his wounds. He saw that they started to bleed. 'Okay, so maybe ripping off the bandages wasn't the smartest idea in the world.' Something then caught his eyes. The wounds on his chest seemed like claw marks as if something tried to rip him apart. This didn't make any sense since the injuries he had didn't correspond to the injuries to someone who tried to off himself, but someone attacked by an animal… it was like…

No, Izuku shook his head. There had to be a logical explanation, because demons are as real as Izuku's non-existent social life. Izuku hugged his wounds tightly as he wanted nothing, but throw himself into his mother's embrace. The boy continued to walk ignoring the curious stares of the people around him.

Izuku then slammed headfirst into something or rather someone. Izuku looked up only to see a giant of a man standing in front of him. The person was a rather huge looking male with a huge frame. He had short black hair and had a cut across his forehead. He was holding rosary beads, but his most striking feature was his eyes. The man was completely blind yet somehow, he was crying waterfalls from his eyes.

Izuku slowly waved his hands in front of the man's face and slowly began to walk away from him, "Okay, I just have to keep quiet and this guy won't be able to stop me."

Izuku tried to walk around the man, but the man kept blocking him as if he foresaw Izuku's movements at every step with Izuku saying, "Come on, big guy. Let me pass." The man's only reply was neck-chopping Izuku gently as Izuku passed out saying, "For the love…"

The man then picked up Izuku and headed back to where Izuku came from to have the boy be treated once again since Izuku's sudden attempt of escape ripped the boy's wounds open.

4 hours, Izuku woke up but this time he found his right wrist tied to a beam with a rope as Izuku looked and saw the man who knocked him out sitting there watching over Izuku.

"Well, hello there," Izuku grumbled, "Is there a reason you knocked me out there when I was trying to escape whatever this place is?" Izuku's eyes scanned the room and found that he was back in the room he woke up in making Izuku sigh, 'I guess he brought me here for another demon lecture.'

"You ran outside of this room causing your wounds to open up and bleed," the man explained calmly, "Had I not knocked you out, you would have bled out and died, young man."

"I know that," Izuku hummed slightly, "but did you have to knock me out? You could've allowed me to go home, and I'm pretty sure my mother would've bandaged me up."

The man rubbed his hands as he cried harder making Izuku blink in confusion, "I'm sorry, young man, but I'm sure lady Amane had informed you that your family has been killed by a demon."

"Yeah, right." Izuku said, "Demons… Mrs. Crazy told me about this, but I preferred not to listen, because demons don't exist. They're fairytales like you know… yokai. Ghosts. Vampires…"

"Demons are real," the man said before pointing to the wound his forehead, "This wound you see was a result of one." The man's tone then became more authoritative and heavier making a chill travel down Izuku's spine, "And I would recommend that you refrain from insulting lady Amane."

Izuku nodded quickly as he tried to change the subject, "I'm sorry. It's my bad, so big guy, what's your name? I mean it wouldn't hurt if we got to introduce each other. I'll go first. My name is Izuku Midoriya. I was born and raised in Mutsutafu." Izuku noticing a look of confusion flash on the man's head as the man replied, "Very well, then. My name is Himejima Gyomei."

Izuku nodded, but Gyomei then asked, "Midoriya-san, I must ask you." Izuku looked at him, "Where is this Mutsutafu that you speak of. I traveled all over Japan fighting demons and never heard of it."

"Near Tokyo, Gyomei-san," Izuku said only to see Gyomei's expression get confused even further. It was like what happened with Amane earlier when she asked him about Mutsutafu. Either these people are the greatest liars in the world, or there is something else going on here, and Izuku didn't know what option honestly felt worse.

Suddenly the door of the room opened, Izuku looked seeing Amane entering the room accompanied by a man. Izuku quickly concluded that this man is the woman's husband, if the way she held his hand meant anything in the world of relationships, or he couldn't be because Izuku's knowledge of social cues is as extravagant as it gets. In other words, he didn't know squat.

Izuku observed the man. The man was of average height having a pale complexion and black shoulder length hair. He also had purple eyes, but Izuku also noticed something else. It was something, it was like something was crawling over the man's head eating away bits and pieces of it one part at a time.

Izuku's gentle nature took control as he asked, "Sir, is it wise for you to move? You seem sick."

The man stopped for a moment and smiled, "Don't worry about me, my child. I am very healthy, but thanks for asking." The man then sat and introduced himself, "I'm Kagaya Ubuyashiki. The 97th leader of the demon slayer crops and the head of the Ubuyashiki family."

"Yes, the demon slayer crops," Izuku said with a healthy dose of skepticism, "Your wife, I suppose," Izuku said pointing at Amane, "told me about this, but I took her word with the same amount of seriousness of someone telling me that he grew a money tree in his house, because demons as I stated before don't exist for them to attack and kill an equally non-existent family of mine."

"I see," Kagaya said, "Well, then. You heard our chain of events; the demon attacking the family you claim that you never heard of and the stone hashira Gyomei saving you." Kagaya said pointing at Gyomei before he told Izuku, "I want to hear your chain of events. Tell me, what happened? Perhaps then, we could understand each other better and see why you are telling us something opposite for what we are remembering."

Izuku nodded, though he didn't feel comfortable because the situation turned creepy real fast. Izuku read all about cults in the past, so he knows that most of their leader has some kind of alluring personality trait, so he had to be wary of this man, because perhaps Kagaya's sweet and gentle voice is what makes people follow him. Better safe than sorry.

Izuku coughed into his hand, "Well, I woke up as every day and got ready for school. I ate breakfast with my mom…" Izuku stopped for moment as the same headache he felt earlier came back, but this time it was like he was saying images of a bunch of children, a woman, and an older version of himself with Izuku shaking his head, "…Um, where was I?" Izuku hummed for a moment, "Right, school. I went there took my seat trying to be as invisible as possible because if I don't everyone was going to beat me up with their quirks for simply existing."

Amane opened her mouth slightly to ask something, but Kagaya said, "Let's hear the end of the story first, and then we'll going to ask him questions." The woman nodded and so did Gyomei.

Izuku said, "Okay, anyway. The teacher came in and declared our career exam tests, and off course he just had to tell the entire class I wanted to enter UA university's hero course, so to no one's surprise, I got beat up by my best friend for daring to have dreams of my own, but no he didn't stop there, because once school was over, he came back and beat me ever more, almost set me on fire with his expolsion quirk and as if to add insult to injury he told me that 'if you want to be a hero so badly, you should take a swan dive off the roof and pray to have a quirk in your next life' before leaving." Izuku scanned their reactions, but he only found confusion on Amane's and Gyomei's faces and contemplation on Kagaya's face as if he was treating to analyze Izuku's words, "Anyway, I decided that I had enough moronism for one day, so I went through a shortcut only to have a human slime monster try to hijack my body to escape capture but as just as it looked bleak, the number one hero saved my life. I was so excited that I finally met my idol, only for said idol to turn out to be nothing but a grim reaper reject who apparently talks cheap and spews a whole lot of bullshit for young people only to keep his popularity up."

Izuku finished his story in happy tone that masked the venomous presence of a thousand hissing cobras, "So, once the number one hero of Japan crushed my dreams since someone quirkless and useless like me can't be a hero, I decided since no one cared about my life, why should I? I wrote a suicide note and took that recommended swan dive, and the last thing I saw before blacking out were two glowing orbs only to wake to her," Izuku said pointing at Amane, "telling me demons are real and I also suppose at this point that the sky is green like my hair and the water is golden."

Kagaya hummed, "That's a very interesting story, Midoriya-san, but I have to ask you two things?" Izuku nodded as Kagaya asked, "Why do you say your hair is green when it's brown? Also, what is this quirk thing you mentioned a couple of times?"

'They don't know what a quirk is!' Izuku exclaimed in his mind, 'Also what does he mean that my hair is brown, my hair is naturally green. I mean it's the only thing that stan…' Izuku looked at a nearby window and yelled, "What the heck? Why is my hair brown? It's supposed to be green."

Izuku stumbled and fell onto his chest as he cried out in pain as the wounds on his chest flared. Izuku looked at the rope preventing him from escaping as he cursed, "God damn fucking rope."

Gyomei then helped Izuku return to his futon as Izuku said, "Would be really helpful if you untie me?" Izuku gestured to Gyomei, "It isn't like I can escape with him around. The guy's blind and yet he can track me down without even looking." Gyomei nodded as he untied Izuku who said, "Thanks." Izuku then looked at the three, "Okay. That's enough what kind of show are you pulling here? How the hell did you turn my green hair into brown? Is this some kind of quirk?"

"Please, clam down, Midoriya-san." Gyomei said sensing the boy's raising distress and confusion, "We truly don't know what you are talking about. When I found you, you had brown hair." Gyomei then said, "You still haven't answered us. What is this quirk that keep talking about?"

"You guys are serious, aren't you?" Izuku said rubbing his temple feeling another headache coming in, but this time, it was filled with images of Izuku working in the streets of a small village as Izuku shook his head, "A quirk is something in the very essence of every human. It's something like eye color. Each person has one unless you're of the unlucky 20% who doesn't and then you should kill yourself to avoid getting treated like a punching bag." Izuku sighed, "There are 3 types emitter quirks which affect other people and the environment, transformation types which the closet example to it is the mythical Kitsune and finally mutation quirks where someone has animal like features. Of course, there's a lot more like heroes who use their quirks to save people and villains who use them to hurt people, but that's a rabbit hole of its own that I have no mental power to explain after my lovely encounter."

Izuku then looked at their expressions which looked like Izuku grew a second head. Kagaya started first saying, "Hmm... this explanation sounds farfetched, but Midoriya-san, it sounds a little impossible," Izuku opened his mouth to speak as Kagaya said, "but then again if demons exist, so why not these quirk things that you speak of."

Izuku looked at him, "I'm going to be open-minded here, and say likewise. If quirks exist, why can't demons exist."

Gyomei hummed thoughtfully, "These quirks things that you speak off, I never encountered them in my life. If they are as common as you proclaim, I should have heard or at the very least interacted with many people having these quirks, yet not once had I experienced anything like you describe." Gyomei asked Izuku, "Are you sure those you saw with these 'quirks' aren't demons? The demons can trick the human mind into believing anything."

"Okay, let's do it the opposite way this time." Izuku said, "Explain to me what demons are?"

"Demons are blood thirsty monsters that feist on human flesh. They are immortal. They don't age. They don't get weak. They only create destruction." Gyomei explained in a dark tone as Izuku felt shivers go down his spine, "but they have one fatal weakness. They are cursed under the sun. If any demon walks under the sun, they will immediately turn into ashes."

"And there goes your theory," Izuku said, "Because the people I saw walked in broad daylight."

Izuku blinked dumbly, "Can I ask why you people are acting like never encountered someone with a quirk? 80% of the world have them! What's next? You don't know what a phone is."

The confused expressions he received was more than all he needed to know, "Really, you don't know what a phone is?" Izuku rubbed his temples feeling an upcoming headache.

Amane asked, "What is this phone that you speak? Why is it odd that we don't know of it?"

"Because everyone has it," Izuku replied, "Even the most remote, isolated, closed off societies heard of phones whether they used it or not, unless they live in the jungles." Izuku looked at them, "You don't live in the jungles, do you?"

Kagaya shook his head, "I'm sorry, but even though we are in a remote area, we aren't in the jungles."

"Come on, this is the 29th century," Izuku said, "The 5th quirk period. You can't just not know this stuff, because I'm sure this demon slaying gig you people got on must ma…"

"Hold on," Amane cut Izuku off gently, "Did you say 29th century? 5th quirk period?" Izuku nodded as Amane looked at her husband who hummed slightly. Amane then said, "Midoriya-san, I don't know what time you think you live in, but this is the 20th century Meji Period."

"Come again," Izuku blinked. 'Is she implying that I'm somehow in the past. No, there's no way. No quirk could ever do that. Something isn't adding up. My memories of the event that happened before I jumped are intact, but all physical wounds I have matches their story, plus my appearance is different. I have brown hair and black eyes instead of green hair and emerald eyes. Something is amess here. They are three options either I went crazy, or these people are leading me there one step at time, or there is something that we're all missing here. A piece of the puzzle that might fix everything and make sense of why everything is off.'

Kagaya replied, "Midoriya-san, are sure of your information?"

Izuku nodded, "I'm sure. There's a difference between making an error between 2 days, and 9 centuries." Izuku then said, "Is there anything to prove your claim?"

Amane then stood and left the room. When she was gone, Izuku said, "so demons are real? Like not only bedtime stories that mothers use to scare their children."

Kagaya nodded, "Sadly, yes. Demons are real. They are a plague on this world. my clan has dedicated generations of its children to fight demons and ward them off the populace." Kagaya looked down before pointing at the slight purple vein on his head, "This is a curse that all Ubuyashiki men suffer from. None of them can make past 30 as this disease eat us alive, but we hope that with our guidance, we can help save people and stop the source of all this evil; the demon king himself, Muzan Kibutsuji." Izuku blinked as his mind was hammered by a vision of a brown-haired woman telling Izuku and some other children stories about demons as Izuku shook his head.

Izuku then said, "That's really great of you. Most people would go enjoy their lives, if they knew they are terminally ill, yet you fight this disease and strive to help others."

Kagaya smiled sensing the sincerity of Izuku's words as Amane returned to the room holding something in her hand. Amane then put in front them all and said, "I believe this will help prove that we aren't in any way or form tricking you. This is a newspaper printed today"

Izuku looked down and saw the date of the newspaper '12 October 1907'. Izuku touched and looked at it. The thing was legit so Izuku said, "Okay, what's happening here?"

Kagaya then said, "Midoriya-san, I believe that I have a couple of logical explanations for discrepancy in both of our accounts. It would explain these quirks you speak of."

Izuku looked at Kagaya and said, "I'm listening. I hope this explains what is happening because I just woke up from a 14-week hibernation and now I found out that I'm in a time that is near the end of the Meji era." Izuku rubbed his temples, "This is too much information for one person to process."

Kagaya nodded in an understanding manner as Izuku, Amane, and Gyomei looked at him waiting for his explanation.

Tashio Era Secret:

Izuku jumps from nowhere saying, "Hello, guys. Welcome to the very first Tashio Era secret."

Izuku then said, "Let's start with something small." Izuku then pointed to himself, "Did you know that the color of my hair in my previous life is brown not green. The reason I got green hair in present time is due to my grandfather on my mother's side who had curly green hair like me." Izuku then waved saying, "Goodbye, everyone"

Author's Notes:

Welcome guys to this new story. This will be considered the pilot chapter, so based on your reviews, I'll decide if I'll go with it or just redo the first chapter and turn it into an iseaked Izuku into demon slayer world, so I would like to hear reviews. Construct criticism is welcomed, though insulting or cursing me out will lead to immediate cancelling of the comment, I personally love all communication with my followers, since their reviews provide constant input and makes my writing better aside from grammatical errors which even Grammarly can't detect all the mistakes, but I do always try my best to keep them as low as possible.
