The two young men looked at each other. One with a face full of shock and disbelief, and the other one whose face was filled with a seething hatred in his eyes.

Shirou looked onto Kerrion with a look of absolute shock and disbelief. He had never entertained the thought that he even had survived that fateful night three years ago. Yet here he was standing here before him, looking and feeling completely different. The scar on his face more than indicative of that.

"But….but how…I thought you were…" Shirou mumbled.

"Dead…you didn't even consider the thought that I had lived. That I have spend the last three years lying in wait, biding my time until I could finally strike and make you suffer for what you did to my father!"

Shirou's fist tightened and his emotions got the better of him "your father was a monster. He was going to kill Rin I had no other choice!"

"LIAR!" Kerrion spat out with a voice full of vitriol "my father gave me his word no harm would come to her. He would never go back on that!"

Shirou breathed in heavily, his thoughts were widely spinning out of control and his emotions were running high.

"Why…." Shirou muttered trying to restrain himself "why Issei…why Fuji-Mee….THEY WHERE INNOCENT! WHY THEM AND NOT ME!"

Kerrion sneered and grinned simultaneously "never accept death when suffering is owed. And you owe me suffering Shirou Emiya. For three years I had to walk around knowing that my father's killer was around and about freely and I couldn't retaliate until someone reached out and gave me the opportunity."

Shirou's ears perked up when he heard that bit.

"What…" he mumbled in disbelief.

With a satisfied grin Kerrion continued "you can thank this person for leading me to poor Issei. He was just to get you here. Now Fujimura that…well that was the real goal. I wanted you to see that. You should've seen the look on her face…" with that Kerrion begin to cackle slightly, eyes wide like a madman.

Shirou's knuckles turned white "you….you bastard…"

Kerrion smiled wickedly "now who will I go after next. Maybe Einzbern or the Matou girl….or maybe…maybe…Rin…"

Without thinking Shirou marched forward as a blade materialized in his hand. Blinded by anger he swung as hard as he could. Barely seeing in front of him nothing but a blind range. Kerrion simply stepped aside and with as much power as he could, backed his elbow right into Shirou's back, causing him to fall face first onto the grass.

Before Shirou could get up he felt steel pressed up against his throat and he heard Kerrion whisper in his ear.

"I'm going to make you suffer Emiya, just like you did to me. I will destroy those you love, tear apart everything you hold dear. And once you have lost all and everything you value, I will put an arrow through your heart, just like you did to my father…"

With that Shirou felt his face being shoved into the grass and he just lay there. The anger that had previously provoked this blind attack began to slowly subside and when he finally managed to get himself up on his knees he turned his head and saw that Kerrion had vanished and Shirou was all alone in the grass, hearing nothing but the wind rushing over the water behind him.

"AAAAHHHH!" A despaired Shirou yelled out into the air as he burst into tears. The events of the day finally getting the best of him.

In London:

It had been an entire day since the revelation and Rin felt herself constantly running out to the bathroom because she felt a continuous seemingly never-ending nausea eating away at her. Even though she had barely eating anything the last day it just kept coming.

And now sitting at the dining table with her head in her hands, the words spoken by Maureen Lawrence on replay in her head.

"Because…because Tokiomi is his father…"

This couldn't be true. That woman's brain was messed up and she probably misremembered everything. Yeah maybe she knew her father a long time ago but that didn't have to mean that Nathaniel was his son. Right?

At least that's something that Rin repeated to herself over and over. And no matter how many times she tried to deny it, when she really thought about it she did notice some similarities between Nathaniel and her father, like the shapes of his eyes and brows. She prayed it was a mere coincidence, but all that wishful thinking didn't quell her worries and the truth she may have to face.

"He is…no he can't be….my half-brother…"

Her half-brother? A word she never imagined that would roll of her tongue. Especially not when referring to the monster that was Nathaniel Lawrence. The man who had tried to kill her. Who had willingly aligned himself with a genocidal maniac and thought he could get away with betraying said maniac.

Rin wanted to scream and shout and throw up again and really wished Shirou was with her at this moment.

A knock on the door snapped her out of her spiraling thoughts. Immediately she grabbed a jewel out of the nearby fruit basket just in case of emergency. She gripped the jewel tightly in her hand as she walked over to the front door. Slowly she opened the door, fully prepared to fling the jewel if it was Gil at the door.

But much to her relief and annoyance, it was Luvia Edelfelt at the door.

The aristocratic women beamed a smile at her, one that Rin could instantly tell was dripping with fake sincerity since it was aimed at her.

"Ah Tohsaka. I was looking for Shero is he here?" she asked politely.

Rin's anger and irritation point had been reached for a whole day but she tried to best to keep it in and instead simply said.

"He is back home to attend a funeral."

Luvia then began to stare her up and down and noted "are you okay? You look absolutely atrocious. Well more so then usual…" she snickered as she said this.

Rin for her part tried her best to keep herself from launching the jewel in her hand towards this pompous blonde poser, consequences be damned. But Luvia made it very difficult to keep her already cracking composure.

"I'm fine…" Rin said through gritted teeth "is that all?"

Luvia shrugged "well yes. I only came here to see dear Shero and instead all I get stuck with is your gorilla like attempt at politeness."

Again the blonde snickered, laughing to herself and Rin slowly stepped out of the doorframe and began walking up towards Luvia.

"What's your deal Edelfelt?" Rin remarked with about as much condescension as she could muster.

"Excuse me?" Luvia responded in disbelief.

"From the moment we arrived in London you have been all over Shirou. Aside from the fact that it's completely inappropriate and obscene behavior, you make it worse by actively trying to make the moves on a guy WHO IS IN A COMMITED RELATIONSHIP!"

Luvia was taken aback by Rin's sudden outburst and took a step back.

"What is going on in your stupid spaghetti head that makes you think its appropriate to hit on my partner! A MAN WHO HAS SHOWN NO INTEREST IN YOU BEYOND CASUAL FRIENDSHIP! PLEASE TELL ME THAT EDELFELT!"

Luvia stuttered and couldn't get a word in as Rin continued her verbal lashing.

"You know what now I understand why your family is trying to get you into an arranged marriage. Because I cannot imagine that any guy would be able to stand to be around you unless they where forced into doing so!"

With those final words Rin turned back around and walked into her apartment, shutting the door behind her with a loud thud. Leaving a breathless Luvia, seemingly on the verge of tears standing in the hallway.
