Morning of Celebration
As the first beams of light shined through the window, Lloyd cracked open his eyes and woke up. He then noticed he was in bed, with the blanket over his body… and nothing in between. He then remembered last night, was it a dream?
Lloyd got his answer when he turned his head and saw Melissa laying next to him, still asleep with a peaceful smile on her face. He found himself smiling too, what happened really did happen.
He finally had Melissa back where she belonged. With him and stronger than ever.
Lloyd allowed himself to continue to look at Melissa still soundly sleeping, admiring her beauty, but then he saw her moving slightly, signaling that she was starting to wake up. Melissa slowly opens her eyes and stares into Lloyd's, "Hey," Lloyd said softly with a smile.
"Hey." Melissa said, smiling back as she scooted closer to him. "Last night was hands down, the best night I ever had." She said, wrapping her arms around him.
"Same here," Lloyd replied, holding her back as the two leaned in close and shared a tender kiss. They broke away and smiled at each other, "We should probably get up now."
"Aww, can't we stay like this a little longer?" Melissa whined playfully.
Lloyd gave a small chuckle at that. "As much as I would love that, we gotta meet up with the others for training." He reminded her.
"Oh, I'm sure we can train later, we did just save all Sixteen Realms, again," Melissa waved off.
"Never put off tomorrow what can be done today," Lloyd reminded her. "Not only that but we don't want anyone to barge in while we're laying on my bed, very close to each other, in the nude."
Melissa chuckled, "Heh, okay, okay point made." She conceded as she sat up, "Let me just shower first." She said, getting up out of the bed with her backside to Lloyd.
But just as Melissa was heading over to the bathroom, she yelped and leapt forward, holding her butt with a surprised look. She glanced back at Lloyd who was sitting up whistling casually with one hand behind his back.
"Did you just spanked my ass?" Melissa asked with a grin.
"Me? I would never," Lloyd said, offended but the smirk told a different story.
Melissa then gave him a seductive smirk. "Alright then, Lloyd Garmadon, tonight we're going for round 2 and this time, I'll be taking charge." She said with a smirk
"Hoo-hoo okay, but it might be easy getting permission a second time from your moms," Lloyd shot back as Melissa stiffened as her seductive expression turned to fear, confusing Lloyd, "They did know about what you planned last night, right?"
"Uhh…" Melissa glanced side to side before looking at Lloyd with a nervous smile, "Not exactly," She said while pinching her fingers.
"They didn't know, did they?" Lloyd asked nervously.
"No they do not." Melissa muttered, equally as nervously. "And I prefer to keep it that way." She said before her eyes widened even more as she remembered someone else that made her even more scared. "Shit."
"W-What?" Lloyd asked nervously as Melissa twiddled her fingers.
"I, may have, kinda, sorta, possibly, maybe, forgotten to tell… Misako as well." Melissa squeaked with a nervous smile.
Lloyd stiffened and went pale. "Fuck." He muttered fearfully.
"B-B-But, they're not here and won't be visiting for a while!" Melissa quickly reassured him, "So there's no way any of them will find out what we did. So we're in the clear."
"Y-Yeah, yeah, you're right." Lloyd said, calming down, "Still let's get dressed and head out for training before Nya or the guys walk in and connect the dots."
"Somehow I have a gut feeling Nya's already gonna find out." Melissa sighed as she headed over to the bathroom first while Lloyd waited.
After getting dressed in some casual wear, the two walked through the halls towards the courtyard. As they walked, Lloyd had his head dipped and frowning slightly.
Melissa turned to him and saw his expression, "Hey, you thinking about your father?" She asked, having a feeling what he was thinking.
"He didn't even say goodbye." Lloyd said solemnly, "He helped us save all of Ninjago, saw me almost die and he just… walked out." He said before sighing solemnly. "Looks like we both have Dark Lord Daddy issues now."
Melissa frowned in concern and understanding of how he feels. "Yeah. That's true. But unlike my daddy issues, yours is… a bit personal and complicated." She said with a frown. "Your dad's the way he is because he was forced to be, not because he chose to be."
"He never asked to be brought back and turned into… that, and once again I'm gonna blame Harumi for being responsible for that." Lloyd said with a look.
"Fair deal." Melissa said with a nod. "I would too. But, I still feel responsible for giving her the chance to corrupt Garmadon in the first place." She said guilty.
"Melissa," Lloyd tried to say as Melissa faced him.
"Don't try and say that it's not my fault when it is, and don't think I shouldn't feel as broken as you are because I do," Melissa said frowning, "You're forgetting Lloyd, when Harumi resurrected Lord Garmadon… I lost a father, too."
Lloyd then realized what she meant, she had always seen his father as the father she wished she had, and when Garmadon was resurrected and turned to who he is now, she felt like she lost him all over again.
"I-I'm sorry, Melissa. I-I didn't realize…" Lloyd tried to say.
"It's alright. You were more hurt than any of us." Melissa said to him. "But I do see Garmadon as a father to me too, but for what he now has become, it's just, sad." She said before frowning in determination and held his shoulders, "But I swear, if it's the last thing I do, if there's any possible way, I'm going to help you find Garmadon and change him back."
Lloyd smiled at that. "Thanks Melissa." He said to her with a smile as he held her hand. "And I'm glad to have you back, I really missed you."
"I missed you too, Lloyd." Melissa said with a warm smile.
As the two stood there, Lloyd noticed something and looked around, "Hey, the Monastery seems quiet today." He noted as Melissa noticed as well.
"Yeah, it is pretty quiet," Melissa noted before looking suspicious, "Too quiet."
"Where is everybody?" Lloyd questioned before they heard some sounds coming from the outside, "That came from the courtyard," He said as they headed over there.
"I swear, if it's another bad guy, I'm blasting through the door shouting 'revenge' I am gonna-" Melissa started as they reached the doors and she opened them only for blasts of confetti to appear in front of them, surprising the two, "What the he-"
"SURPRISE!" The other Ninja all cheered as around the courtyard there were party decorations, food, and a banner of Green and Purple with Lloyd and Melissa's Symbols in Gold and Silver. Along with them were Wu, Pixal, Seliel, Skylor, Ryan, Jasmine, Dareth, Rattalia, Izzy, Ronin, Misako, Rachel and Luci.
"G-Guys, h-how…wha?" Lloyd tried to say, unable to comprehend what was happening.
"Uh, did I forget my birthday or any of the others' birthdays or something?" Melissa asked.
"Uh, hello? This is your 'Back Together Again' Party!" Kai told them while holding a cup of Punch.
"What?!" Lloyd and Melissa asked in shock and confusion.
"Yeah! We knew that you two would be back together again someday, so we wanted to throw a big celebration for it!" Jay said with his arms up.
"All of us pitched in." Cole said as he munched on some cake.
"B-But, how did you know…" Melissa tried to ask, worried if someone saw them last night.
"Oh come on! After that huge Oni battle, you two were bound to get back together!" Seliel stated.
"We spent all morning preparing the festivities," Pixal added with a smile.
"Wait, so you planned this party, all on a hunch?" Lloyd said in surprise.
"Sure did," Ryan shrugged.
"And what were you planning to do if we didn't get back together again?" Melissa asked.
"Ha! Yeah right! Like that'ssss ever gonna happen." Rattalia said with a laugh.
"But just to be sure, you are together again, yes?" Jasmine asked hopefully.
Lloyd and Melissa looked at each other before they answered. "Yes." They both said in unison with small smiles.
"Phew!" Kai, Cole, Jay, Zane, and Nya sighed out with exaggerated relief.
"Finally! Now Melissa can stop acting like Marinette every time she keeps trying to get Adrian's attention." Kai said with a smile.
"Hey!" Melissa said in embarrassment as they all laughed.
Wu then went over to them and held their shoulders, "I am glad to see you two have remembered you are stronger together," He said proudly.
"Thanks Uncle Wu," Lloyd said with a smile as he and Melissa moved over to the snack table, "And thanks again for setting all this up for us."
"Yeah, pretty impressive how you just figured we'd be getting back together on your own." Melissa said, taking some punch.
"Of course, how did you think we knew and planned this out?" Jay questioned.
"Nya?" Melissa guessed.
"Hey!" Nya said with a playful smirk while Melissa smirked back at her before she sighs. "Okay, yes. I did tell them. And knowing you, Melissa, after that Oni invasion, I had a hunch you would be with Lloyd again."
"Well you guessed it." Melissa said with a shrug.
"But I did wonder why you didn't come back to your room," Nya frowned as she held her chin and Melissa tensed up.
"Oh, uhh, well, I am a night owl, so I figured that I just… enjoy the nighttime sky." Melissa lied nervously.
"Well yeah, and I know that you and Lloyd had a lot of baggage to unpack with each other but even still you should've come back after…" Nya then noticed Melissa's expression and glanced over to Lloyd who looked to be acting as casually as possible. She then remembered how the two came together and then things started to click, "Oh. Ooohhhh." She said with a smirk which made Melissa nervous, "Melissa Zhau, You Sly Dog." She said, leaning on her knuckles with her elbow on the table.
"Uh, uh, w-w-what, are you talking about?" Melissa asked, trying to play dumb.
"Heh, I knew things were gonna get intense with you two again, but this is ridiculous," Nya chuckled.
"Hehehe, what, Intense? Us?" Melissa scoffed while waving her hand off, "Noooo! We're cool. Cool like Ice. Everything's cool, coolcoolcoool." She said, drinking her beverage while making slurping sounds as her eyes darted around. "The sky looks nice doesn't it?" She asked nervously.
Rachel and Luci raised brows and stood on either side of Melissa with studying looks, "Hmm, nervous laugh," Rachel noted.
"Eyes darting." Luci added.
"Word repeatable." Rachel continued.
"Avoiding the subject." Luci said.
"Nervous slurping." Rachel continued.
"Random comment." Luci stated, "All the symptoms are there."
"Uhh, symptoms?" Melissa asked, tapping her fingers on her cup.
"And tapping fingers on the glass." Rachel said rubbing her chin, "There's no denying it. Melissa, I think there's something you liked to tell us." She said as Lloyd tried to subtly move away from them.
"What?! Me! No, nononono!" Melissa said with a nervous smile while sweating, "There's absolutely nothing for me to say! I'm fine! Happy! Zippity dippity! Hehehe." She laughed nervously.
"Uhh, what are you girls talking about?" Cole said in confusion.
"I believe they are referring to how Lloyd and Melissa engaged in sexual orientation last night." Zane answered simply as a record scratch was heard as everyone looked at Zane in shock, dropping items they were holding, falling over, spitting or choking on their food.
Lloyd and Melissa's eyes completely shut. "Why did Zane have to be a fucking Nindroid and say it out loud?" Melissa muttered with a cringe.
"Zane! You don't just say stuff like that!" Lloyd yelled with a furious blush on his face.
"It is the truth is it not," Zane questioned like he did nothing wrong.
"How do you even know-?!" Skylor tried to ask.
"During Melissa's nervous breakdown, I suspected she may be suffering from some sort of aliment, so I did performed a medical scan on her during her rambling," Zane explained, "During such I noticed that in her lower regions, her-"
"Thank you! Thank you! I would very much like to sleep tonight!" Ronin exclaimed while looking away. "Seriously, you Nindroids need to not give away too much info."
"Seriously, even I wouldn't blurt that out," Dareth commented.
"Thisssss party has gotten intenssssse." Izzy commented before turning to her girlfriend. "Oh and uhh, called it Rattalia." She said with a smirk.
"God fucking damn it." Rattalia muttered as she handed Izzy 50 bucks.
"Well, at least it can't get any worse right?" Lloyd moaned while holding his head.
"So, you two got into some… extra circulator hours?" Misako asked in an unreadable tone, standing behind Lloyd and Melissa and beside Rachel and Luci as the two stiffened.
"Oh me and my big fat mouth." Lloyd uttered in fear.
"Never thought these words would come out of this mouth but," Melissa muttered fearfully. "I want my daddy." She then quickly turned to her mothers with a wide smile and her hands together, "My mothers, I must say you two are looking very lovely today." She complimented sweetly. "Uhhh, is that a new shirt?"
Rachel and Luci gave dull looks as Lloyd gave a sigh. "This is gonna be a long day." He muttered, before he felt Misako grab his shoulders and felt her nails digging into him.
"Lloyd Montgomary Garmadon, would you mind if we have a small chat?" Misako said through her teeth with a tight smile and her eye twitching in anger as she dragged him back inside the Monastery.
"Would you care to join us, Melissa Zhau?" Rachel and Luci asked as they, each, grabbed both of Melissa's ears and arms as she trembled.
"Nya! Please! I swear upon the First Spinjitzu Master himself, I will never ever give you wedgie treatments for any reason of stupidity or stubbornness ever again! Just please, save me!" Melissa begged.
"Sorry, Melissa. As much as it's an offer I'm willing to make. This is a family kind of thing." Nya said with a sheepish look. "You and Lloyd are on your own with this one."
"Oh you are so getting one when this is over and if I survive this!" Melissa yelled out as she was dragged into the Monastery before she yelled in pain when Rachel twisted her ear. "AHHHH!!! EAR EAR!!!"
"Oh no! You are not punishing someone for being smart, young lady." Rachel said firmly as they left the courtyard.
"Next time, Zane, how about keeping the more extreme personal details to yourself." Kai said with a dull look.
"And same goes for you, Pixal. Because from this point, it's a bit weird, unsettling and personal." Cole added.
"I was just stating facts." Zane said in defense.
"Too many factssss." Rattalia said with a brow.
"Too many detailed facts." Ronin added with a cringe.
"Yes. I learned that when I mention the Perfect Match with Nya." Pixal said with a cringe look. "So, I don't think it was decent to say those things, Zane."
"Hehe, my apologies." Zane said while rubbing the back of his head sheepishly.
"Well, looks like this party is on hold until Lloyd and Melissa get an earful from their mothers." Jay said to them.
"Or if they somehow survive this." Cole added with a cringe.
Inside the Monastery, Lloyd and Melissa sat in front of their mothers, Misako in between Rachel and Luci, both of them looking worried, "Who's idea was it?" Rachel questioned.
Melissa closed her eyes before slowly raising her hand while using the other to cover her eyes, "Did you use your mouth on him?" Luci questioned next to which Melissa gave a slow nod.
"Did you lick her?" Misako asked her son with a stern look as Lloyd gave a frightening nod.
"Did you use your breasts on him?" Rachel asked Melissa as she bowed her head and slowly covered her chest which was answer enough.
"Did you finish more than once?" Luci asked with a glare. Lloyd and Melissa just stayed silent and refused to move which they took as their answer.
"Did you, by the First Spinjitzu Master himself, did you finish inside her?!" Misako all but snarled.
"Okay, can you stop with these questions please?!" Melissa shouted in huge embarrassment to the point of tears. "They're embarrassing as they are!" She said, which gave them their answer.
"So it's a yes to all of those." Rachel said firmly.
"What did you expect? After that attack on the Oni, what do you think we were gonna do?" Lloyd questioned.
"I was expecting you to be mature enough to know not to try and get your girlfriend pregnant, young man!" Misako exclaimed, bringing her face to Lloyd's as he flinched back in fear, which caused him to fall off the chair and on his back.
"I-I-It's not Lloyd's fault! It was my idea!" Melissa said tearfully. "And it was our first time! What kind of risk is getting pregnant in the first time?!"
"You'd be surprised. Even if the chances are slim since you're still underage they're still there," Rachel said with her arms crossed and frowning, "But you still don't get it. We're not upset that you went through such irresponsible behaviour last night."
"You're not." Melissa said hopefully.
"We're upset that you went ahead and decided for yourself that you were ready without even telling us you were considering taking this path." Luci stated with a frown as Melissa flinched.
"I was trapped in the First Realm for some time and we have been through much." Melissa said to her mothers. "Is it so wrong to make at least one choice of my own for once?"
"And after that whole break-up fiasco isn't that the least we deserve?" Lloyd asked them.
"What you deserve is time to readjust to being a couple again before deciding to do the sideways mambo." Misako said firmly, "Honestly, just for this behaviour, we've actually considered seeing you two don't see each other until we decide we can trust you."
Melissa and Lloyd looked at them in shock as they stood up in anger. "WHAT?!" They shouted in rage.
"Why?!" Melissa questioned with a look.
"I lost her once, I do not wanna lose her again!" Lloyd said with a glare.
"And I've spent a week going through so much in the First Realm and hearing my fucking father's voice in my head!" Melissa added. "And nearly lost Lloyd after the Oni! You can't just break us up!"
Rachel raised her hand, "Calm down, she said we were considering it. We already knew after what you've been through, tearing you two apart right after the day you got back together would be too cruel." She told them.
"So, we've found an alternative," Luci continued.
"And what's that exactly?" Lloyd questioned them.
"How many days were you two broken up?" Misako asked.
"Um, three or four months?" Melissa said with a brow.
"Three or four very slow months." Lloyd added. "Counting a week of separation when she was stranded in the First Realm."
The three women nodded, "Alright then," Rachel started.
"Therefore, you two will not have any sex," Luci continued.
"Until you've gone on," Misako added.
"100 dates." Rachel finished.
"A hundred dates?" Melissa asked with a brow while Lloyd scratched his head.
"That doesn't sound so bad." Lloyd said with a shrug.
"That's if there's no life threatening villains, Lloyd." Melissa said to him.
"Point taken." Lloyd said with a nod.
"So, do we agree?" Misako asked with her, Rachel, and Luci crossing their arms.
"Yes. We agree." Lloyd said as Melissa nodded.
"But seriously, it was one time." Melissa said to them. "You came up to us as if we had done it many times. If you have been through the intensity of danger and saving the world and near death experiences, would you try to find a way to destress yourself?" She questioned them.
The three women looked at each other and sighed, "We do understand, Melissa, really we do," Rachel said gently as they looked at them with frowns, "That's why we're so upset."
"Huh?" Lloyd and Melissa said in confusion.
"You both have been through so much pain and heartache in these last few months, and it killed us that we could do so little to help you," Luci said with a frown.
"And then we find out you two are already getting so forward in your relationship, we were worried that you would bring even more pain to yourselves." Misako said as the three approached their respective children and hugged them, "I've already thought I lost you three times in less than a year Lloyd, my heart simply could not take seeing you suffer anymore."
"And we know your father still haunts you, Melissa." Luci said as she and Rachel hugged her tightly, "And finding out you're carrying a child while you're still a teenager can often lead to spirals we know he would pop in your head during."
"I-I'm sorry moms." Melissa apologized tearfully. "It's just… after all I've been through, after all Lloyd's been through… after what I put him through… I just couldn't control myself."
"And to be honest, I was surprised that Melissa even pulled that kind of move." Lloyd said to them in shame as he hugged his mother back. "And I, couldn't control myself. I was just so happy to have her back."
"We understand," Misako said gently, "We just don't want you making any more mistakes that could end up hurting you all over again."
"Mom, we may have made mistakes, but even we're not that insane." Lloyd said to her. "And, I know it has something to do with Dad." He added as Misako frowned at the thought. "Trust me, even I know since I'm also saddened by what he has become thanks to Harumi. Still haunts me."
"It's more than that. It was how I was just seen as a casualty of Harumi's plan, how she somehow knew how broken you would be even if I was still there," Misako said with her head down, "Sometimes I feel like, I can never be as important to you as Garmadon was. That no matter how hard I tried to be there for you, it's never enough."
"Mom, you're always just as important to me as father ever was." Lloyd said to her while gently placing a hand on her shoulder. "I just cope in my own way. But, these recent events have made me realize that, I've taken you for granted. I shouldn't have let losing father bring me to that point when I still had you to lean on. But, I'm gonna do better, I will do better." He promised as Misako smiled at him.
Melissa gave a guilty sigh hearing that. "I'm really sorry, Misako, I take full blame for Lloyd's turmoil all throughout Garmadon's reign and… what he tried to do." She said in sadness and guilt as she turned to her moms, "And, when the break-up did happen, even after we came back and stopped Garmadon, I should have come to you two sooner, about my fears, my father and… what I was planning last night. Sometimes, I give my father so much of the attention he doesn't deserve, I forget about the two people who do care about me and have a right to know what I do in my life."
Rachel and Luci smiled at Melissa as the three mothers then hugged their respective children as they kept the hug for a little while longer, "We are truly, truly happy you two are together again." Misako said warmly.
"And that you are happy as well." Luci added.
"But still, tell us these things before you do them." Rachel added as they broke the hug as she gave a smirk. "Parents gotta know."
"We will." Lloyd and Melissa sighed.
"Good, because then we can at least give you some pointers," Misako said with a smirk, "Trust me, I have more than enough nights with Garmadon to be an expert," She said as Lloyd cringed.
"And we've had a few good nights with each other as well." Rachel said as she and Luci gave each other smirks, "You really know how to work it, honey."
"Not as good as that tongue of yours, baby." Luci said flirty.
"AAAHHH! LALALALALALA!!!!! NOT LISTENING!!!!!!" Melissa called out while covering her ears with her eyes closed.
"Do not need that image in my head tonight!" Lloyd stated with a cringe look as Rachel, Luci, and Misako giggled at their reaction.
"I think they've learned their lessons." Misako said with a smirk.
"Of course if you were planning on doing this again, I think we can give you the details on some of our nights." Rachel said as the two flinched.
"Leaving now!" Melissa said as she rushed out of the room.
"Wait up!" Lloyd added as he followed after Melissa as the three mothers giggled at their reaction.
Seems like the Ninja of Yin and Yang just faced a new level of embarrassment from their mothers and possibly from their friends.
A/N: And that was Morning of Celebration, the Aftermath to Endings, and the party was fun, until Zane revealed what Lloyd and Melissa did which led to some scolding from their moms, but at least Lloyd and Melissa are back together.
