Pressure, everyone has it, but some more than others. Like a mobile crane slamming its giant fist into you, well it's hook attached to a block, pressure is painful like the crane and about that-...that was what was happening to Ladybug, don't ask how or why she was getting slammed by a mobile crane out of all things but let's say luck was not on her side and the crane got out of control at some point. She was just trying to help the construction workers but maybe she shouldn't have tried.
Even cranes are bastards, Ladybug groaned, getting slammed down again by the hook-that she feared would cut right through her stomach by the way, wasn't that a fun fear?. She got up tying up the crane with her yo-yo and tugged it back "Okay! You can hurry up and fix it now", she dug her heels on the ground, that is going to hurt worse than the lightning yesterday. The person nodded and started trying to fix the crane, her heels hurting like she dipped them in lava. Despite Chat being the exaggerative one she was also exaggerative, it hurted more like she had scraped her heels and it would be a pain if that did happen so fingers crossed that didn't happen (even though it probably did). Ladybug heard the woman say "It is fixed!" she sighed reeling in her yo-yo, she put her feet down.
Ladybug put her yo-yo on the right side of her hip and bent her legs, rubbing at her heels. "Ouch" the woman on the crane looked at her "You okay?" she nodded, straightening herself "Yeah I am fine" she smiled at them and waved with her right hand "Bug out!" they all nodded and waved saying bye, she turned to the school and swung across landing on the right side of the building she hid behind a garbage bin whispering "Tiki spot off" the pink light flashes and she stands up running to school taking a bite out of her croissant "Mmmhm! It tastes so good, just as good as it smells!" Tiki chuckled "And I get to be around sweet macarons" Marinette nodded walking through the entrance.
Alya looked at her and ran to her "Girl you're late again!" she nodded, chuckling "Ye-yeah sorry", she smiled patting her shoulder "It is fine!, anyway Adrien apparently is going to go to this event?. He is standing right there!" she elbows her smirking saying in a sing-song voice "Maybe you can get closer to him" Marinette laughed brushing her off blushing "I-I can't! I'd blunder and then he would just refer to me as a friend and it would go nowhere" she extended her arms emphasizing 'nowhere' Alya put Marinette's arms down raising an eyebrow "You sure?" Marinette nodded, "Definitely!". Alya sighed, staring at her "What am I supposed to do with you girl?" Marinette frowned, crossing her arms "Nothing I am fine the way I am", Alya rolled her eyes smiling "Sure whatever you say Marinette". Marinette heard a car slowing down and she looked over and saw the recognizable silver car, even though it was just a car to her it meant he was here, Adrien Agreste of course the one she constantly thought about…she was going to mess up again! She groaned internally.
"Alya he is here!" Alya looked over, she was holding onto Nino's hands, Nino's hands under hers. "Adrien?" Marinette nodded a million times, Alya nodded, Nino smirked and turned his hands over, slapping her hands quickly and moving his hands away. Alya looked at him frowning, "Nino! I wasn't ready!" he laughed hearing her whine "But you didn't say I couldn't!" she grumbled "I will get you!" she pointed at him with her right hand. He smiled "Sure" she smirked. He looked at her worriedly, "Um Alya what is it?" She chuckled "You'll see".
Then she pushed his hat down with her right hand, the hat covering his eyes, Nino quickly held onto his hat about to lift it up when Alya slapped his hands and retracted hers. He lifted his hat, staring at her. She smiled "What?" he sighed "I know you did it, ugh" she laughed "You had it coming!" he nodded "I did". They were just about to return to the slapping hand game until she heard Marinette say "Oh! Uh-hey A-Arian! I-I mean-!"Hey Adrien!" Alya smiled at Marinette stepping to her right Marinette glanced at her smiling gratefully, Alya winked at her. Adrien smiled at them "Hey!" Alya looked at Adrien "Heard that you are going to this event". Adrien nodded his smile leaving his lips immediately, "Yeah I am…maybe one of you could come?" he looked at them first at Nino his eyes pleading to him, Nino shook his head "Sorry bud got to do a thing with my lady here" he pointed to Alya she nodded "True…although we could both just go" Nino raised an eyebrow Alya tilted her head to Marinette then to Adrien Nino nodded "Sure dudette" he smirked "Whatever you say".
Adrien stared at them "Ummm what?" Nino looked at him whispering to Alya "How did he come out so incredibly oblivious when he is Gabriel's kid of all people?". Alya shrugged "Overprotective parent?" Nino smiled "Ahh!". Alya grinned "We will help that out though!" Nino shot her a look Alya shrugged Adrien nodded grinning "Thanks!" Plagg groaned to himself in his holder's pocket. Kagami walked over to Adrien "Adrien pleasure to see you" Adrien looked at her and smiled "Same!" Alya looked at Nino "Those two are just friends now right? No tension whatsoever?" Nino nodded "They claim so". "Hello cousin" Adrien sighed looking at Felix who stood against a wall arms crossed, left leg on the wall gentle smirk playing on his lips "Why are you here?" Felix said "Seeing you I guess, sightseeing?" Adrien frowned "You think I'll believe that?" Felix shrugged not smirking now "How am I supposed to know?. For being Gabriel's child you are oblivious to more than I would expect, and that is that Gabriel already is oblivious to some things".
Adrien scoffed "Well maybe it isn't that obvious then", Felix rolled his eyes moving away from the wall "Adrien, Adrien-Adrien it is obvious. Your friends know, I bet your father would realize it if he even bothered to see any of your classmates" Nino eyes widened staring at Felix Alya looked from Adrien to Felix. Adrien growled "And? I will find out eventually" Felix shook his head. God, Felix is so annoying! Alya interrupted the anger boiling in Adrien "Hold on you two are cousins?!" Felix smiled nodding, walking over to them "Yes I am. In fact his closest cousin, biologically and when we were younger we were closer, not so much now" Alya tilted her head "What do you mean 'his closest cousin biologically'?" Felix laughed "Why that is because my mother, Ameilie was Emeilie's twin sister"...they all looked at Adrien even Kagami, Kagami cleared her throat "Adrien may I ask why you didn't care to add that detail?". Adrien chuckled right hand to his neck "I um-sort of forgot?" Felix stared at Adrien judgmentally "Seriously?, it is a major thing Adrien. And it is a mystery you didn't think of telling them that when I called you and talked to you" Marinette looked at him "Wait what?! You have his number".
Felix scoffed "Yeah of course I do, that is how I keep in touch with him" he shoots Adrien a look "And hear him constantly whine about his father!" Adrien looked down for a second looking back at Felix "It isn't my fault that he would get very mad if I talked back to him!" Felix sighed right hand to his forehead "Oh it isn't so difficult!, just say anything to him! He won't hurt you!".
Adrien looked about "But…"
"But what?", Felix stared at Adrien looking hesitant "Out with it now it is fine"
Adrien nodded "I don't want to go against him"...he what?! "Adrien you go against your father!".
Adrien shook his head "I-I would! But-I um don't want him to be mad" Felix scoffed "And?, who cares! Just do it Adrien he is your father and therefore should and will listen to you!. He is your father and it is his responsibility to be your caregiver and to be a effective caregiver he has to listen to what you say and take steps to give you a good experience, this is your life not his so he has to listen to you Adrien but he won't unless you tell him to" he crossed his arms eyeing him up and down "and as is he isn't doing such an effective job at being a effective caregiver to you Adrien. Someone you can have to help you out and help your life be a bit easier".
Adrien mulled over the thought, he would love that! "Okay I will but…" he showed a weak smile "how would I start-you know going against him?" Felix looked at his friends who just shrugged and then back to Adrien "First and foremost get rid of some of those boring time consuming after school activities you are forced to go to". Adrien shuffled his shoe looking at his shoe mumbling "They aren't sooo bad…" Felix put his right hand on Adrien's right shoulder Adrien looked at Felix "The very fact you said they are in a sense somewhat bad says everything, you go ahead and get rid of the ones you don't like. And no-I won't let you take it back" Adrien frowned "Why not?" Felix smiled, patting his shoulder lightly "Think of it as a lesson of being steadfast in your goals and wants".
Adrien sighed "Fine but why do you want to teach me that?" Felix shrugged his hand to his side "It is the best for you Adrien, easy as that also annoying your father is quite entertaining" Adrien rolled his eyes "He will be annoyed". Felix nodded adding "And whining like a kid", Adrien chuckled "Not exactly but sure" Felix nodded "You know you agree". Adrien didn't respond, figuring Felix would just keep on, smart Adrien Felix would have carried on, because he is annoying like that nearly all the time.
Felix ruffled Adrien's hair, "You are so innocent" Adrien frowned, swatting at Felix's hands "Stop it!" Felix laughed "I don't think so! You are so adorable". Adrien huffed, pushing him Felix raised an eyebrow "Feisty?" Adrien smirked going ahead to try attacking "Let's see you dodge then!". Felix dodged easily and swerved behind Adrien, getting him in a hold "Too easy!' Adrien wiggled around for a bit before kicking at his legs, Adrien then got out and turned around Felix patted Adrien's head.
"Not too bad", Adrien smiled fixing his hair once Felix removed his hand. Lila grumbled to herself, how come Marinette could be around Adrien?!. She wanted him, she strutted over to them smiling "Adrien!". Adrien looked at her smiling "Hey!" Felix looked at who it was, that voice was familiar and he didn't like it at all. Lila, ugh of course god forbid it was someone he actually would like to interact with!. Nevermind that now, "You again. Lie-la, I think you should stay away from Adrien" he leaned closer smirking "Not that much of a good influence are you?", Lila glared at him "And what does that mean?, who are you to say so anyway?" he sneered "I am his cousin, so you could say I know him quite well. Besides I truly do have his best interest at heart can't say the same for you".
He backed away, arms crossed smirking, Lila balled her fists shaking. Adrien looked at them, the tension obvious even to him "Please don't fight", Felix looked at him "Fight?. Oh this is hardly a disagreement. For I know I am right", Adrien rolled his eyes "What did I expect?" Felix shrugged his eyes catching Kagami…he should check on how she is doing, he looked back at Lila "Now if you'll excuse me-even though it doesn't matter if you excuse me or not-I have something else to do" he turned to Kagami and walked towards her.
Lila stood there muttering "How dare he say that!, he should respect me, brat, how dare he!. I should-!"Lila?" she looked at Adrien plastering a fake sweet smile on her face, so sickly sweet "Yes Adrien?", Adrien frowned "You shouldn't lie to yourself and others Lila, it won't help" he turned away to go to his friends before he paused adding "I truly want the best for you, really but I can't help you and others can't help you either if you aren't willing to help yourself and change. You won't get any better if you don't accept it and change but I can't help and what do I know?, just some blonde idiot right…? Except I am no idiot like you think I am" he went to Marinette, Nino and Alya all smiles.
Lila scowled, those words were like hot water scorching her skin, I will get them. Someday they'll see!. Felix went to Kagami, she looked at him "Felix?", he smiled "Kagami. How are you doing?", she examined him "Good…why?". "What do you mean 'Why?'", she looked at him suspiciously "Why do you ask?, there is no reason to unless…".
"Unless what?", Kagami shook her head "Nevermind", Felix scoffed "Doesn't seem like nothing". "Why are you so defensive?", he shrugged "Why are you questioning me so much?"..."Because I think you are doing this for a reason", she eyed him trying to gauge a reaction-show his true self, his true thoughts and what he wants with this. He stayed silent for a moment staring at her "Fine…but we shouldn't discuss this in the open", she tilted her head "And why not?" he sighed, whispering to her "Because it is about yesterday Kagami, I-I want to know something okay? All is good-really just one thing I want to know". She nodded and it all made sense to her now. He stretched his left hand out "Will you follow me?" she nodded, taking his hand "Lead the way", he walked to the left side, he stopped and stood on the left side she stood to the right. "How are you doing after what I told you?".
Kagami thought about it thinking about how his eyes reminded her of grass, except he was more cunning than the lowly grass. Smart, strategic. A facade really, "I am doing fine although a bit-. Well coming to terms with it", he nodded "Good…and do you have any sort of-um thoughts?, negative really?". Kagami shook her head "Not any different than the usual", "'The usual'?". She nodded "The usual thoughts everyone has and maybe some that go a bit extreme", he nodded good she was doing good that was nice to know. "I am still glad you told me about it to be honest" he smiled chuckling "Good would hate it if I made a mistake", she laughed "Don't worry, you definitely didn't, knowing my true existence is…".
"Liberating?", she nodded "Yeah. You easily guessed it how?", he smiled "People always want to know more. When they know more about themselves it is like, getting a grasp on who you are and being able to own who you are more". Kagami grinned "That is right". Felix smiled as well, a thought on his mind. He could ask her about it, but he might get her all worked up because of asking a question like that, if she knows what it means to be a senti-being. That she could get snapped out of existence, and have to do what the person with her amok wants her to do…it is disturbing…should-? No he shouldn't. She feels liberated right now…but it would be unfair to her, she would want to know…he should try at least.
"And…do you-? Ahem know what-" his lip twitched eyes glancing around, Kagami furrowed her eyebrows "Know what Felix? What are you trying to tell me?". He looked down this would be too much for her, he knew it he looked up smiling "You know what?, it doesn't really matter. Sorry I got you concerned", she stayed silent. Was she okay? "Kagami?", she took a step forward "What is it you aren't telling me?" he sighed "Nothing it is-"It isn't nothing! Tell me please!" he gaped, staring at her pleading, her eyes. She was hurt, she shook her head, her head held down eyes closed "I am sick of others not telling me things! I'm tired of it!...I-I ju-just want to know the truth, anything. Felix…" her plea was so soft it almost broke him-almost "Please-please-please tell me…I beg you to, please".
Felix opted to tell her something else to comfort her a bit, "Don't hang your head low" she lifted her head with her eyes open "What is it?". He looked at her feeling empathy for her "I would tell you but it would be too much for you trust me" he took her hands "but I promise you, I will tell you at some point just not now-just not now later, later Kagami when you can come to terms with it". Kagami nodded, slowing her breaths "I-it is fine, thank you for being honest". He stared at her, "You have enough to deal with as is" Kagami nodded sadly chuckling "I do, so much to do" he nodded gently rubbing her hands with his thumbs "So much to do but so young", she smiled at him "I am glad you understand". He nodded "So do I".
