chapter 20 happy Easter

I do not own the Reba show all rights belong to ABC. I think I can't remember, but I do know that I don't own it. I hope you enjoy it though.

Here we go to another chapter of my Reba story starting over new family starting over new family concept comes from starting over and making amends with Van's family, including them in other things to do along with becoming a family of one one family together and then in Cheyenne, making amends with his family and vice versa with Vance family making commands with Reba and Brock too, and making a man's to help Henry with Barbara Jean as well.

I don't know how many chapters this story will be, but I'll probably lead up until the baby is born. I will not go many more books into a series unless you want me to do this as a series if not, the baby chapter will be the final chapter of the story we're getting close to that too. The first holiday chapter Easter was yesterday, but it doesn't follow today. I don't know. But it's Monday. Yesterday was Easter, which was Sunday so I'm a little behind.

So forgive me.

That's my Wings Club rewrite episode starts a new round of chapters. This will be the second book following it, pushing down to the bottom.

And if I end with the baby being born, that won't be too long from now.

That means there are only a few more chapters left in this story all right then let us begin this chapter now.

Some time has passed.

It's now spring so let's begin. It's April.

Easter Sunday

early morning

Cheyenne was cooking. They were gonna have a nice lunch later. She was busy in the kitchen fixing a delicious dinner for them. A ham delicious ham was given. It was made well not beautifully made or cooked, but it was a beautiful ham a nice one too.

You shouldn't be standing a lot. Her husband's van came into the kitchen van. Cheyenne said mother didn't wanna cook this year so she left it to me but you were. I know I'm about to drop any day she said, but I've gotten better now that since I gave birth to Elizabeth, I should be able to do it with our son too she said.

But your feet are swollen, he says I'm OK Cheyenne says why don't you help though she said how he asked I'm not a good cook. That's not your job Cheyenne why don't you help by putting this beautiful ham into the oven for me while I finish up some of my other fixings, she said.

Cheyenne invited a lot of people over for Easter, her mother for one, and her father Van's parents Barbara Jean if she can spare her, she doesn't know if Barbara Jean would be able to come or not. If so, Henry would come Keira was coming and Jake her baby brother.

That was a good amount of people that were coming then wondered if she was OK with hosting that many people I'm OK Cheyenne said I can host this mini Are you sure you can handle it? He says I can van she said sternly I did last year and I will this year. She said again certainly but not forcefully.

Indeed, she did fine last year too. The baby should be coming any day any month now it should be due next month in May or June something like that hopefully not at the same time that it will be Elizabeth's birthday that would be awkward. She was hoping for June.

...

The nursery was ready, and that was a good thing too as the dishes were being prepared he asked who was bringing what mom was bringing a few dishes, and your parents were only bringing a salad frowned. Of course, they would bring something healthy. What is your mother bringing? I told her I would do in the ham so she's bringing something else I think a few I think she's making mashed potatoes or something she says and a green bean casserole. If Barbara Jean is coming, she's bringing carrots and yams.

And some sweet dessert of some kind I think I think mom is bringing a dessert as well and my father he'll probably pick up something from the bakery or he might bring sweet tea from the store or something like that.

Have you thought about names Vanest I don't know Cheyenne said I haven't thought of any yet.

I don't even think I even had a gender reveal. She said I don't know if I'm having a boy or a girl we'll have to go and have an ultrasound then you can help me with names right Cheyenne nodded and we'll have a gender reveal party for everyone else she said I know I had a baby shower for the baby, but I can't remember if it was a boy or a girl. I'll have to remember eventually she says.

Or we could be surprised, she said again that sounds like fun Van said surprise me, darling Cheyenne smiled as she continued to cook You'll help me glaze this burn this ham right oh yes, Van said as he helped her.

I want to impress your parents she said again.

I think you will van said Cheyenne smiled.

Good, she said I'm glad you think so.

Cheyenne had an Easter basket ready for Elizabeth just like her mother will have Easter baskets for her her brother and Keira when they come as well.

And a small basket for Elizabeth.

It was gonna be a big year this year and it was gonna be so much fun. She and Henry were gonna have an Easter egg hunt together and that'll be fun too.

And eat a lot of good food too.

I wasn't that nervous even though she felt like she was in deep breath, Cheyenne told herself as she finished up the finishing touches on anything she had to finish.

People will be here soon she thought.

I should've said that people started to arrive later with all their dishes and things they got there after church and other things it took them a while to get there, but soon Cheyenne's house started to fill up with lots of people.

Everyone said happy Easter as people started coming into the house and the food started to smell good.

Then prayer was said and fat food was passed around. Everyone ate their fill of food and dessert after that they began to do other things.

Like asked Cheyenne when was the baby due and Cheyenne said soon she said probably in the next month or two and what was you gonna name him? We don't know yet but I'm thinking, but I didn't get to name him if I thought it was gonna be a boy. The first time she said oh everyone asked Van Junior. Everyone laughed at the minivan. Everyone thought that was hilarious.

Van said I would love it and everyone agreed all right then van it is.

After eating, they opened up their Easter baskets, and after the Easter baskets, Elizabeth and Henry went to go. I have an Easter egg hunt then they read the resurrection story after the Easter egg hunt to not forget the reason for this season of Easter and after that day was coming to an end.

Is Cheyenne said goodbye to her family and friends as they left?

...

They made it through without any drama which was incredible for their family turns out everything was turning out all right Cheyenne cleaned up with Van's help, and Elizabeth disappeared with her Easter basket and Easter goodies from her grandmother and her mother and her stepmother as well.

Try and call her daughter. Don't need too many sweets you'll get cavities. Yes, Mom, she said she disappeared to her room.

That was a success van said Cheyenne nodding. Yes, definitely after they finished cleaning up they relaxed and watched television.

They went to bed for another holiday over Cheyenne was exhausted. The baby was due soon, and she was tired.

Only a couple more months and the baby will be born and that made her happy.

Do you know it'll be more complicated when a new baby joins the family but it'll be amazing too.

They crawled under the covers and went to sleep. After the long hectic day they had today Cheyenne's been up all day. She didn't get much sleep and got up early to cook. Now she could rest.

And prepare for the new baby that was coming soon.
