Chapter 96: Mandarin Island Tournament Top 4 Ash vs Nemona!
Hello everyone, this chapter will mainly focus on Ash's battle against Nemona, and I hope you all enjoy it.
The chapter begins one day after the last chapter ended as we see the group heading towards the building that's holding the tournament. Last night Ash along with Misty and Leaf trained the Pokémon that they're going to be using in their battles today for a couple hours making sure that they've perfected everything before going to bed. Back in present time the group have made it to the building and meet up with everyone. Ash along with Misty hand Pikachu and Togepi over to Tracey. They then along with Nemona and Leaf begin heading over to the trainer hall while the others go to the stands. 20 minutes later we come over to Stadium 1 and on the battlefield and see Ash along with Nemona. Both trainers are on their sides of the battlefield and are looking at each other having smiles on their faces. In the trainer hall we see Misty along with Leaf looking at the screen while in the crowd we see the group looking at the battlefield and are excited for the battle to begin as Jake speaks.
"Hello everyone, it's finally time for the first Top 4 battle of the Mandarin Island tournament!" Jake says making the crowd excited as we then pan away from the tournament and go over to Oak's lab. Outside of the lab on the ranch we see Oak, Delia, Mr. Mime Daisy, and all of Ash's Pokémon (besides the 6 Pokémon he's using and Pikachu) all looking at the TV showcasing the battle. We then cut over to other parts of the Kanto region which showcases Giselle, Joe, AJ, the Kanto Elite 4, and Seymore watching the battle on their TV's. In the Cianwood city gym we see Korrina, Bea and their Pokémon watching the battle on their TV too. Somewhere in the Johto region we see Gary in the Pokémon Center and he's watching the battle on TV also.
Next, we come over to the Alola region and head inside Mallow's restaurant. We see Mallow along with Sophocles and their Pokémon looking at the TV and have the battle on as well. We then head over to the Hoenn region and come over to Littleroot Town where we see Ritchie. He's currently at Prof. Birtch's lab and has the battle on screen too as he along with his Pokémon and Prof. Birtch are watching it. Next, we come over to the Petalburg Pokémon Center and see Paul who was just on his way out of the building. But before he leaves, he took a glance at the TV and saw Ash on the screen. In the Orange Islands on Valencia Island, we see Prof Ivy, her assistants, Brock, and his Pokémon watching the battle on TV as well. In some other parts of the Orange Islands, we see the 3 gym leaders that Ash faced, Rinto and also Hau (who's currently at the Kumquat Island Pokémon Center) watching the battle on their TVs too. Lastly on Mt. Silver we see Red along with his Charizard watching the battle on a TV too and have excited looks on their faces. We now come back to the tournament and see Ash along with Nemona still looking at each other as in the stands Barry speaks.
"Ash! Beat Nemona because if you don't, I'm giving you a fine!" Barry says as Lily speaks.
"You certainly still seem bitter" Lily says as Barry pouts Kiawe speaks.
"Ash's now going up against Nemona in all of Nemona's battles so far she's been able to easily defeat her opponents." Kiawe says as Barry speaks.
"What do you mean by "easily defeat" that didn't happen to me!" Barry says while having an annoyed look on his face and Lana pouts as Kiawe apologizes to them Lillie speaks.
"I wonder if Ash can defeat Nemona" Lillie says as Tracey speaks.
"Ash and Nemona have battled each other multiple times and Ash has only beaten her once so far. I'd say that Ash has a good chance at winning this" Tracey says with Lillie nodding as Kukui speaks.
"True but he'll have to be careful as Nemona's no push over" Kukui says with the group nodding as Lana speaks.
"GO! ASH!" Lana, Barry, Lillie, Daisy, Lily, Violet, Pikachu, and Togepi cheer loudly for Ash. In the trainer hall we see Misty and Leaf looking at the screen and cheering for Ash too. We now come over to the battlefield as Nemona continues to look at Ash and speaks.
"Ash you already know this but don't go easy on me I want you to give my Pokémon and me everything you got in this battle!" Nemona says as Ash smiles and speaks.
"Don't worry Nemona I will in fact last night before going to bed I trained my Pokémon so that they'd be ready for today's battle!" Ash responds as Nemona speaks.
"Hey, looks like we had the same idea because that's what my Pokémon and I did last night too." Nemona says as Ash speaks.
"I guess you can say that great minds think a like" Ash says with Nemona nodding. After that the ref makes himself known and begins to speak.
"This is a full 6v6 battle between contestants Ash and Nemona. Both trainers are allowed to use 6 Pokémon each and can substitute their Pokémon as well! The winner will be decided on whoever defeats all of their opponents Pokémon first do both trainers understand?" The ref says with Ash and Nemona nodding as the ref continues.
"Now will both trainers please send out your first Pokémon!" The ref says as Nemona pulls out a Pokeball and speaks.
"I'll bring mine out first Ash and let's have a Fruitful Battle! Go! Tauros!" Nemona says as she throws the ball forward and out of it appears an Aqua Breed, Tauros. When the mon appears, it lands on a land platform and lets out a mighty roar. The mon then looks forward, having a serious look on its face as it waits for its opponent Ash begins to think.
"So, her first Pokémon is a Tauros then I'll go with." Ash says to himself as he pulls out his Pokeball and speaks.
"Dracovish, I choose you!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends out Dracovish. Once Dracovish appears the mon lands on a land platform and has a smile on its face. The crowd (other than Misty, Leaf, Tracey, Pikachu, and Togepi), Nemona, the Elite 4, and some of the people who're watching the battle on TV all have surprised looks on their faces as Jake speaks.
"Contestant Ash has sent out a never-before-seen Pokémon!" Jake says as Nemona looks at Dracovish and speaks.
"I've never seen that kind of Pokémon before" Nemona says as Ash speaks.
"This is Dracovish, it's a fossil Pokémon from the Galar region, and although it may look goofy Dracovish's really strong" Ash says with Dracovish agreeing with him as Nemona smiles and speaks.
"Well, if you say it's strong then I'll believe you and that means that Tauros doesn't need to hold anything back." Nemona says with Tauros nodding as Ash smiles and speaks.
"That's what we like to hear. Let's do this Dracovish!" Ash says with Dracovish nodding as it along with Tauros get into battle stances. The 2 trainers along with the 2 mons continue to look at each other in silence as the ref speaks.
"Now that both trainers have sent out their Pokémon let the battle begin!" The ref says as Nemona speaks.
"Let's attack first Tauros! Use Hydro Pump!" Nemona calls Tauros fires out a large stream of water that goes to hit Dracovish as Ash speaks.
"Dracovish get rid of it with Crunch!" Ash calls Dracovish covers its teeth in dark energy and bites down on the Hydro Pump easily destroying it. When the Hydro Pump's gone Tauros suddenly appears in front of Dracovish as Nemona speaks.
"Now use Raging Bull!" Nemona calls. Before Ash can call for a command Tauros's horns glow blue, covers its body in water and hits Dracovish. Dracovish is sent flying and lands in the water as Ash speaks.
"Dracovish!" Ash calls in worry as Nemona speaks.
"Tauros go after Dracovish!" Nemona calls the bull nods as it jumps in the water and begins swimming after Dracovish. In the water we see Dracovish groaning in pain while floating down, Dracovish then looks forward and sees Tauros swimming towards it as Ash speaks.
"Dracovish use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls Dracovish fires out a large stream of water that goes to hit Tauros as Nemona speaks.
"Dodge Tauros then use Raging Bull again!" Nemona calls Tauros moves to the right easily dodging Dracovish's attack. Tauros then covers its body in water shoots forward and hits Dracovish hard in the stomach. Dracovish coughs in pain as Tauros pushes Dracovish into the bottom of the pool creating a dust cloud. After that Tauros swims away from the dust and looks forward. When the dust clears everyone can see Dracovish laying on its back groaning in pain as Ash speaks.
"Dracovish are you okay?!" Ash asks as the mon continues to groan in pain Nemona speaks.
"I must say Ash I was expecting a lot more from your Dracovish, but it looks like the first victory will go to Tauros" Nemona says as she then calls for her next command.
"Tauros let's finish Dracovish off! Use Bulk Up Then Raging Bull!" Nemona calls Tauros lets out a roar as it increases its physical attack/defense power. Tauros's horns glow blue and covers its body in water as it then begins heading for Dracovish. Back in the stands Tracey speaks.
"This is bad if that Raging Bull hits Dracovish's going to lose!" Tracey says as Kiawe speaks.
"Ash needs to somehow get Dracovish out of there" Kiawe says while having a concerned look on his face as the others continue to cheer Ash on. Back in the water Tauros continues heading for Dracovish and is getting closer to the mon. Just when Tauros's about to hit Dracovish Ash smiles and speaks.
"Sorry Nemona but Dracovish isn't going down. Dracovish use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls Dracovish nods as it quickly fires the move in front of itself. Once Dracovish does that it manages to push itself away from the spot it was at earlier causing Tauros to hit the bottom of the pool instead. Nemona has a surprised look on her face as Ash speaks.
"Now Dracovish use Dragon Rush then Fishious Rend! Ash calls Dracovish, stands back up covers its body in dragon energy and runs forward. Before Nemona can tell Tauros to dodge Dracovish hits the mon causing damage to it and making the bull slide a couple feet away. Dracovish's lower jaw then glows blue and jumps forward going to bite Tauros as Nemona speaks.
"Tauros dodge!" Nemona calls but the bull doesn't dodge as it's flinching. This allows for Dracovish to bite Tauros and create an explosion as Nemona speaks.
"Tauros!" Nemona calls in worry as out of the smoke appears the two-mons sliding away from each other. Dracovish looks at Tauros with the bull looking at it, Tauros then begins to groan in pain as Ash speaks.
"Nice looks like that did some damage" Ash says while having a happy look on his face. Back in the stands Kukui speaks.
"So, by having Dracovish propel itself away from Tauros's attack with Hydro Pump it surprised both Nemona and Tauros. Then while they were confused Ash had Dracovish use Dragon Rush and Fishious Rend to cause more damage to Tauros." Kukui says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Nemona speaks.
"Nice plan Ash" Nemona says as Ash looks at her and speaks.
"Thanks, and we're just getting started!" Ash says with Dracovish agreeing with him making Nemona smile. Nemona then looks at Tauros and can see the bull panting heavily as she begins to think.
"It was a good thing I had Tauros raise his defense power when I did because otherwise that Fishious Rend move could've knocked him out" Nemona says as she looks forward and speaks.
"Let's keep going Tauros use Hydro Pump!" Nemona calls as Tauros fires out a large stream of water Ash speaks.
"Dracovish counter with your Hydro Pump!" Ash calls Dracovish fires its own Hydro Pump that connects with Tauros's and creates an explosion. A couple seconds later Tauros appears out of the explosion and is running towards Dracovish as Nemona speaks.
"Now use Raging Bull!" Nemona calls Tauros roars it covers its body in water and goes to hit Dracovish as Ash speaks.
"Dracovish quick use Hydro Pump on the ground!" Ash calls Dracovish nods as it fires a Hydro Pump at the ground which launches the mon up allowing it to dodge Tauros's attack as Nemona speaks.
"Don't let Dracovish get away Tauros!" Nemona says with the bull nodding as it begins to swim after Dracovish. Meanwhile with Dracovish it continues to propel itself with the Hydro Pump until a few seconds later it launches itself out of the water and is now high in the air. Soon after Dracovish appears Tauros appears too and continues going after Dracovish as Nemona speaks.
"Tauros use Iron Tail!" "Dracovish counter with Fishious Rend" Both trainers' call. Up in the air Dracovish sees Tauros coming, covers its lower jaw in blue energy and goes to bite the mon. Unfortunately for Dracovish Tauros manages to dodge Dracovish's attack at last second, Tauros covers all 3 of its tails in steel energy and hits Dracovish hard on the head sending the mon crashing hard onto one of the land platforms as Ash speaks.
"Dracovish!" Ash calls in worry as when the smoke clears Dracovish's laying on its back groaning in pain but then a couple seconds later it stands back up. Once Dracovish is back to standing Ash speaks.
"Above you Dracovish!" Ash says as Dracovish looks up and sees Tauros falling towards it as Nemona speaks.
"Close Combat Tauros!" "Dracovish dodge then use Hydro Pump!" Both trainers' call. Tauros has its horns ready and goes to hit Dracovish, but the mon quickly jumps back avoiding the attack as Tauros lands on the platform. Dracovish lands a few feet away then takes a deep breath and fires out a big stream of water that goes to hit Tauros as Nemona speaks.
"Dodge Tauros then use Bulk Up and Wave Crash!" Nemona calls Tauros quickly moves to the right and dodges the Hydro Pump. Tauros then roars. It quickly increases its attack/defense power, covers its body in an intense water and shoots forward heading for Dracovish as Ash speaks.
"Dracovish counter with Dragon Rush!" Ash calls Dracovish lets out a mighty roar covers its body in dragon energy and begins running forward too. The 2 mons continue to run forward and are about to collide in the middle of the platform as Nemona speaks.
"Hit it, Tauros!" Nemona calls as Tauros roars and is about to collide with Dracovish as Ash speaks.
"Dracovish dodge then use Fishious Rend!" Ash calls surprising Nemona as just when the two mons are about to collide Dracovish quickly moves to the right and dodges Tauros's attack. Tauros has a surprised look on its face as it then looks at Dracovish and sees its bottom Jaw glowing blue as Ash speaks.
"Do It Dracovish!" "Tauros Dodge!" Both trainers' call. Unfortunately for Nemona Tauros can't dodge in time as Dracovish lets out a roar and bites down on Tauros creating an explosion along with a strong gust of wind as Nemona speaks.
"Tauros!" Nemona calls in worry as a few seconds later the wind goes away, and everyone sees a big cloud of smoke. A couple seconds later the cloud of smoke clears showcasing Dracovish panting heavily while looking at an unconscious Tauros as the ref speaks.
"Tauros is unable to battle Dracovish's the winner!" The ref says as Ash smiles and speaks.
"Alright! Great Job Dracovish!" Ash says happily as Dracovish looks at Ash and smiles. The crowd then lets out a loud cheer for Ash and Dracovish as Tracey speaks.
"Nice Dracovish managed to defeat Tauros!" Tracey says happily as Kukui speaks.
"By having Dracovish suddenly move out of the way it surprised both Nemona and Tauros allowing for Dracovish to attack Tauros while it was surprised" Kukui says with the group nodding. We now cut over to Oak's ranch and see that Oak, Delia, Mr. Mime, Daisy, and Ash's Pokémon cheering loud for Dracovish with Sirfetch'd, Skeledirge, Ash's Dragon types, and Ash's water types cheering the loudest. Next, we come over to Cinnabar Island and see Seymour along with Cara Liss who've smiles on their faces. Back at the stadium, Nemona returns Tauros back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Nemona then pulls out her next Pokeball and speaks.
"Palafin come out!" Nemona says as she throws the ball forward and sends out her Palafin who lands in the water. The mon has a smile on its face and is ready to battle as Ash thinks.
"So, Palafin's her next Pokémon" Ash says to himself as he pulls out Dracovish's Pokeball and speaks.
"Dracovish return!" Ash says with Dracovish nodding as it goes back in its Pokeball Nemona speaks.
"You're returning Dracovish?" Nemona asks with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yep, Dracovish's tired from its battle against Tauros so I'm giving it a break and I think my next Pokémon will be a much better match up against Palafin." Ash responds while holding his next Pokeball in his hand and goes to throw it.
"Seismitoad, I choose you!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends in Seismitoad who lands on a land platform. Seismitoad has a smile on his face and is ready to battle as he looks at Palafin with Palafin looking back. Up in the stands Kukui speaks.
"This should be an interesting battle" Kukui says with the others nodding as they continue to look at the battle. Back on the battlefield Nemona looks at Palafin and speaks.
"Let's win this Palafin!" Nemona says with the mon nodding as Ash speaks.
"I'm counting on you Seismitoad!" Ash says with the toad nodding as he along with Palafin get into battle stances. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Nemona speaks.
"Palafin use Boomburst!" Nemona calls Palafin, lets out a yell and sends out a wave of sound that heads for Seismitoad as Ash speaks.
"Seismitoad use Brick Break then Sludge Bomb!" Ash calls both of Seismitoad's hands glow white as he lifts them up and slams them down on the Boomburst easily destroying it. Seismitoad then takes a deep breath and starts firing out multiple poison bombs of sludge at Palafin as Nemona speaks.
"Palafin use Hydro Pump!" Nemona calls Palafin, fires out a large stream of water that easily destroys the Sludge Bombs and heads for Seismitoad as Ash speaks.
"Seismitoad counter with your Hydro Pump!" Ash calls Seismitoad quickly fires out his own Hydro Pump that collides with Palafin's, the 2 moves go back and forth for a little while until Seismitoad's Hydro Pump manages to overpower Palafin's. Seismitoad's Hydro Pump is now heading for Palafin as Nemona speaks.
"Palafin dodge then use Giga Impact!" Nemona calls Palafin quickly jumps in the air and avoids the Hydro Pump. Palafin then covers its body in an orange sphere with purple streaks and shoots forward heading for Seismitoad. As Palafin's getting closer Seismitoad's taking a deep breath as Ash speaks.
"Seismitoad stop Palafin with Hyper Voice!" Ash calls Seismitoad roars and lets out a loud voice that manages to stop Palafin in its tracks and forces the mon to cover its ears. Palafin's groaning in pain as it continues to cover its ears Ash speaks.
"Okay Seismitoad use Brick Break!" Ash calls Seismitoad's right hand glows white and goes to chop Palafin's head as Nemona speaks.
"Palafin use Supersonic!" Nemona calls before Seismitoad hits Palafin the dolphin looks at Seismitoad and lets out a loud yell that connects with Seismitoad and stops the mon. When Palafin's done yelling Seismitoad is now confused surprising Ash and making Nemona smile as she speaks.
"Now Palafin use Flip Turn!" Nemona calls Palafin nods as it covers its body in water shoots forward and hits Seismitoad. Seismitoad groans a little in pain as Palafin goes back in its Pokeball and Veluza appears taking its place. Veluza has a serious look on its face as Nemona speaks.
"Use Psycho Cut!" Nemona calls Veluza nods as it sends out a psychic slash that heads for Seismitoad. Ash calls for Seismitoad to dodge but the mon doesn't as he's still confused which allows for the Psycho Cut to hit Seismitoad and create an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Seismitoad!" Ash calls in worry as when the smoke clears Seismitoad's still standing, he groans a little in pain and the confusion has worn off. Ash sees that the confusion is gone and speaks.
"Seismitoad it's time for some payback. Use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls Seismitoad quickly fires out a large stream of water that goes to hit Veluza as Nemona speaks.
"Veluza dodge then use Fillet Away!" Nemona calls Veluza easily dodges the stream of water by moving to the right. After that Veluza spins increasing its physical attack, special attack, and speed stats. Veluza feels that its health has decreased then looks at Seismitoad as Ash speaks.
"Seismitoad Veluza's health has decreased after using Fillet Away let's end this!" Ash says with the toad nodding as Ash calls for a command.
"Use Hyper Voice!" Ash calls Seismitoad lets out a loud voice of sound that heads for Veluza as Nemona speaks.
"Veluza Dodge then use Zen Headbutt!" Nemona calls Veluza quickly dives underwater and dodges the Hyper Voice. Veluza quickly swims forward, jumps out of the water, covers its head in psychic energy and hits Seismitoad hard in the face causing more damage to the mon as Nemona speaks.
"Now Veluza use Liquidation!" "Seismitoad look out!" Both trainers' call. Veluza summons a large water sword and goes to hit Seismitoad. Seismitoad's unable to dodge in time as the water sword then hits him causing damage to the mon. Seismitoad groans in pain then falls on his back and is knocked out. The ref then makes the call.
"Seismitoad's unable to battle Veluza's the winner!" The ref says making Nemona smile as she speaks.
"Great job Veluza!" Nemona says with the mon nodding as it lands back in the water. Back in the stands Kiawe speaks.
"Darn Seismitoad lost" Kiawe says as Lillie speaks.
"Wait how come when Veluza hit Seismitoad why didn't his Poison Point ability activate?" Lillie asks as Kukui speaks.
"Well Poison Point similar to abilities like Flame Body and Static the chances of the opposing Pokémon getting poisoned is 1/3" Kukui says as Violet speaks.
"Also, Veluza has an ability called sharpness which raises the attack power of slicing moves. So that combined with Nemona having Veluza use Fillet Away which increased its attack power were the reasons as to why Seismitoad went down quickly which also means that his Poison Point ability couldn't activate in time." Violet says with Lillie and the others nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Ash's sad that Seismitoad lost but then returns the mon back to his Pokeball. When Ash does that, he tells Seismitoad thank you and puts the ball away. Ash then looks forward and begins to think.
"Nemona's Veluza's really fast and it's also increased its attack power with Fillet Away. So, in order to counter that I'll need to use a Pokémon that has high physical defense." Ash says to himself as he pulls out his next Pokeball and goes to throw it.
"Blastoise, I choose you!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends out Blastoise who lands on a land platform. When Blastoise appears, he has an excited look on his face and is ready to battle. Back in the stands Tracey speaks.
"Ash's next Pokémon is Blastoise" Tracey says as Kiawe speaks.
"He's probably hoping that Veluza's attacks won't do too much to Blastoise since his physical defense is high." Kiawe says with the group nodding as Barry speaks.
"Go! Ash!" Barry along with Lana, Pikachu and Togepi cheer. Back on the battlefield Nemona looks at Ash's Blastoise and thinks.
"So, he's using a Blastoise next, and it looks strong" Nemona says as she smiles looks at Veluza and speaks.
"Veluza I'm going to keep you in for now" Nemona says with the mon nodding as Ash speaks.
"Blastoise let's get revenge for Seismitoad!" Ash says with the mon nodding as he along with Veluza get into battle stances. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Nemona speaks.
"Veluza let's attack first! Use Zen Headbutt!" Nemona calls Veluza, covers its head in psychic energy and shoots forward heading for Blastoise as Ash speaks.
"Blastoise use Protect then Hydro Pump!" Ash calls Blastoise, quickly summons a protective barrier and blocks Veluza's attack. Blastoise then points his cannons forward and fires 2 large streams of water that hit Veluza and sends the mon flying causing it to crash back in the water a few feet away as Nemona speaks.
"Veluza!" Nemona calls in worry as a couple seconds later Veluza floats back up to the surface and is groaning in pain. Nemona has a relieved smile on her face then looks at Ash's Blastoise and begins to think.
"That one Hydro Pump did a lot of damage to Veluza I shouldn't keep her out for much longer" Nemona says to herself as she then calls for her next command.
"Veluza use Psycho Cut!" Nemona calls Veluza quickly fires out 2 large psychic blades towards Blastoise as Ash speaks.
"Counter with Hydro Pump!" Ash calls Blastoise quickly shoots out 2 streams of water that collides with the psychic blades creating an explosion as Nemona calls for her next command.
"Now Veluza use Flip Turn!" Nemona calls as out of the smoke appears Veluza who's now in front of Blastoise. Veluza quickly covers its body in water and hits Blastoise doing some damage to him. Before Blastoise could counter Veluza goes back in its Pokeball, and replacing it is Palafin (who's now in its hero form). Palafin looks at Blastoise as Nemona speaks.
"Palafin use Jet Punch!" Nemona calls Palafin punches its left fist forward and shoots out a water fist that goes to hit Blastoise as Ash speaks.
"Blastoise use Rapid Spin then Skull Bash!" Ash calls Blastoise nods as he goes into his shells shoots forward and easily gets rid of the water fist. Blastoise then comes out of his shell, raises his defense and points his head forward going to hit Palafin as Nemona speaks.
"Stop Blastoise Palafin!" Nemona calls Palafin, holds its left hand forward and manages to stop Blastoise. Once Palafin does that the crowd have surprised looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"Blastoise keep pushing!" Ash calls Blastoise nods as he pushes harder making it more difficult for Palafin as Blastoise begins to slowly push it back Nemona speaks.
"Palafin use Ice Punch!" Nemona calls Palafin covers its right fist in ice and upper cuts Blastoise sending the mon high into the air as Nemona speaks.
"Palafin go after Blastoise use Bulk Up then Focus Punch!" Nemona calls with Palafin nodding as it jumps in the air. Palafin raises its physical attack/defense then concentrates, a couple seconds later Palafin reaches Blastoise its right fist glows white and goes to punch Blastoise as Ash speaks.
"Blastoise use Protect!" Ash calls Blastoise quickly summons a protective barrier that blocks Palafin's punch. Even though Blastoise blocked the attack the force from the punch sends Blastoise crashing down onto a land platform as Ash speaks.
"Blastoise!" Ash calls in worry. When the smoke clears everyone can see Blastoise laying on his back but then a few seconds later he stands back up. Blastoise looks at the sky and sees Palafin falling towards him as Nemona speaks.
"Palafin use Jet Punch!" Nemona calls Palafin points both of its fists forward and begins firing multiple water fists that head for Blastoise as Ash speaks.
"Blastoise use Ice Beam!" Ash calls Blastoise points both of his cannons upward and fires out 2 icy beams that easily breeze through all of the water fists and head for Palafin as Nemona speaks.
"Palafin use Ice Punch!" Nemona calls Palafin covers both of its fists in ice and punches the 2 beams easily destroying them as Ash speaks.
"Blastoise use Skull Bash!" Ash calls Blastoise, raises his physical defense, jumps high into the air, points his head forward and heads for Palafin as Nemona speaks.
"Counter with Focus Punch!" Nemona calls Palafin's left fist glows white and collides with Blastoise's head. When the 2 mons collide, they begin pushing each other back and forth. As they continue to do that Palafin begins to overpower Blastoise as Nemona speaks.
"That's it Palafin just a little more!" Nemona says with Palafin nodding as it continues to overpower Blastoise Ash speaks.
"Blastoise use Hydro Pump to boost yourself!" Ash calls Blastoise nods as he tucks his legs in his shell then shoots out water. Blastoise then begins pushing himself forward making it more difficult for Palafin until Blastoise manages to knock Palafin's left fist away and hit the mon. Nemona has a surprised look on her face as back in the air Palafin sees Blastoise pointing his cannons forward as Ash speaks.
"Use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls. Before Nemona can call for a command Blastoise fires out a point-blank Hydro Pump that consumes Palafin and sends the mon crashing onto a land platform creating an explosion as Nemona speaks.
"Palafin!" Nemona calls in worry as when the smoke clears everyone can see Palafin laying on its back groaning in pain. Palafin then begins to stand back up as Nemona speaks.
"Palafin above you!" Nemona says causing Palafin to look up as it sees Blastoise falling towards it with his chest wide open as Ash speaks.
"Blastoise use Body Slam!" "Palafin dodge then use Boomburst!" Both trainers' call. Palafin quickly jumps back as Blastoise lands onto the land platform instead. Once Palafin gets a good enough distance it lets out a roar sending out a wave of sound that hits Blastoise who was in the process of standing back up. There's then an explosion and when the explosion clears everyone can see Blastoise groaning in pain as Nemona speaks.
"Now Palafin use Aqua Jet then Focus Punch!" Nemona calls Palafin covers its body in water and shoots forward. Palafin's left fist glows in white energy and punches Blastoise hard in the stomach causing the turtle to cough in pain as Ash speaks.
"Blastoise use Flash Cannon!" Ash calls Blastoise covers his mouth in steel energy and fires out a steel beam that hits Palafin creating an explosion. Palafin's sent sliding out of the explosion a few feet away then manages to stop itself. Palafin can feel its special defense has decreased then looks at Blastoise and begins to pant with Blastoise panting a little bit too as Nemona speaks.
"Palafin let's end this! Use Bulk Up then Jet Punch!" Nemona calls Palafin roars as it bulks up its body increasing its physical attack/defense, Palafin covers its right fist in water and punches forward sending out a big water fist that heads for Blastoise as Ash speaks.
"Blastoise use Skull Bash and boost yourself with Hydro Pump!" Ash calls Blastoise, raises his defense and shoots forward. Blastoise tucks his legs in his shell and sends out water which boosts his speed. Blastoise points his head forward, easily goes through the big water fist and continues heading for Palafin as Nemona speaks.
"Palafin use Boomburst!" Nemona calls Palafin roars and sends out a large wave of sound that heads for Blastoise as Ash speaks.
"Blastoise use Rapid Spin to cut through it!" Ash calls Blastoise, tucks the rest of his body in his shell and begins to spin easily cutting through the Boomburst. Blastoise keeps going until he hits Palafin doing some damage to the mon. After that Blastoise then comes out of his shell and points both of his cannons forward as Ash speaks.
"Blastoise use Hydro Pump!" "Palafin dodge with Aqua Jet!" Both trainers' call. Unfortunately for Nemona Palafin can't dodge in time as Blastoise fires out 2 streams of water that consume Palafin and sends the mon flying. Palafin goes past Nemona and keeps going until it hits the wall behind her creating an explosion as Nemona looks back and speaks.
"Palafin!" Nemona calls in worry as when the smoke clears, she along with everyone can see that Palafin's knocked out. The ref then makes the call.
"Palafin's unable to battle Blastoise's the winner!" The ref calls making Ash smile as he speaks.
"Alright!" Ash cheers while Blastoise smiles. Up in the stands and in the trainer hall Ash's friends cheer too. We then come over to Oak's ranch and see Delia, Mr. Mime, Oak, Daisy, and Ash's Pokémon all happily cheering for Ash and Blastoise with Venusaur, Charizard, Rillaboom, Krookodile, Skeledirge, and the water types cheering the loudest. Back on the battlefield Nemona returns Palafin back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Nemona then looks forward and speaks.
"Your Blastoise sure is strong Ash" Nemona says as Ash speaks.
"Thanks, he trains a lot with my other Pokémon back at Prof. Oak's lab" Ash says with Blastoise nodding as Nemona speaks.
"I see well in that case how will your Blastoise deal with my next Pokémon?" Nemona says as she pulls out her next Pokeball and goes to throw it.
"Milotic come out!" Nemona says as she throws the ball forward and sends out her shiny Milotic who lands in the water. When the mon appears, it has a serious look on its face and looks at Blastoise as Ash speaks.
"So, Milotic's next. Blastoise I'm still keeping you in!" Ash says with Blastoise nodding as he gets in a battle stance with Milotic doing the same. The ref calls for the battle to continue as both Ash and Nemona speak.
"Use Hydro Pump!" The 2 trainers call with the 2-mons nodding as they both fire Hydro Pumps that collide with each other and create an explosion. Nemona then calls for her next command.
"Use Dragon Tail!" Nemona calls. Suddenly Milotic appears in front of Blastoise, covers its tail in green dragon energy and goes to hit Blastoise as Ash speaks.
"Use Protect Blastoise!" Ash calls Blastoise quickly summons a protective barrier that blocks Milotic's attack causing the mon to bounce a couple feet away. Blastoise then opens his mouth as Ash speaks.
"Blastoise use Flash Cannon!" "Milotic dodge then wrap your body around Blastoise!" Both trainers' call. Blastoise covers its mouth in steel energy then fires the steel beam that goes to hit Milotic. Milotic easily dodges the beam then shoots forward and wraps its body around Blastoise. Milotic now has its hold on Blastoise and looks at the mon as Nemona speaks.
"Now Milotic use Confuse Ray!" "Blastoise break out of there with Rapid Spin!" Both trainers' call. When Milotic's about to use Confuse Ray Blastoise goes in his shell and begins to spin. As Blastoise's spinning he's making Milotic spin too, they continue to spin until Blastoise manages to throw Milotic off his body and send the mon flying. Milotic lands in the water a few feet away then looks over at Blastoise who's stopped spinning as Ash speaks.
"Blastoise use Flash Cannon!" Ash calls Blastoise quickly fires the steel beam that goes to hit Milotic as Nemona speaks.
"Milotic use Mirror Coat!" Nemona calls. Milotic looks at the attack and takes the hit as it explodes. When the smoke clears Milotic groans a little in pain and can feel its special defense decrease, but then a couple seconds later the mon summons a mirror in front of it and fires out a big blast that goes to hit Blastoise as Ash speaks.
"Blastoise use Surf!" Ash calls Blastoise roars and summons a big wave of water that blocks the attack and heads for Milotic as Nemona speaks.
"Milotic dive in the water to dodge then use Mist!" Nemona calls Milotic quickly dives deep into the water and dodges the Surf as the wave comes crashing down. A couple seconds later Milotic appears back on the surface of the water and lets out a small cry as it creates a Mist that covers the entire battlefield. Milotic then hides inside the Mist while Blastoise looks around as Ash speaks.
"Blastoise use Rapid Spin to clear the Mist!" Ash calls with Blastoise nodding as he spins and begins to clear the Mist. A few seconds later Blastoise stops spinning and the Mist is fully gone as Ash speaks.
"Good job Blastoise!" Ash says with Blastoise nodding as Nemona speaks.
"Milotic use Hypnosis!" Nemona calls as suddenly Milotic appears out of the water and is now in front of Blastoise. Before Ash can call for a command Milotic's eyes glow and send out hypnotic waves that connect with Blastoise. Blastoise begins to get drowsy until he then fully falls asleep surprising Ash as he speaks.
"Blastoise wake up!" Ash calls but Blastoise is fast asleep making Nemona smile as she speaks.
"Okay Milotic it's time to finish this! Use Blizzard then Hydro Pump!" Nemona calls Milotic lets out a roar and summons a massive Blizzard that consumes the sleeping Blastoise causing damage to him and freezes him entirely. Now that Blastoise's frozen Milotic takes a deep breath and fires out a big stream of water from its mouth that consumes the frozen turtle and breaks him out of the ice. Blastoise is sent flying and lands on a landing platform a few feet away as Ash speaks.
"Blastoise!" Ash calls in worry but as he looks at Blastoise he can see that the mon is knocked out as the ref speaks.
"Blastoise's unable to battle Milotic's the winner!" The ref calls allowing for Nemona and Milotic to cheer in victory. Ash has a surprised look on his face while in the stands his friends are surprised too as Tracey speaks.
"I can't believe that Ash's Blastoise lost" Tracey says as Kukui speaks.
"By calling for Mist Nemona knew Ash would have Blastoise get rid of it with Rapid Spin, and when he did that allowed for Milotic to put Blastoise to sleep, freeze him with Blizzard, then finish him off with Hydro Pump." Kukui says with the group nodding as Kiawe speaks.
"She really is good" Kiawe says as Barry speaks.
"Come on Ash!" Barry cheers along with everyone else. In the trainer hall Misty along with Leaf continue to watch the battle and cheer Ash on too. Back on the battlefield Ash returns Blastoise back to his Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Ash puts Blastoise Pokeball back on his belt as he looks forward and begins to think.
"Nemona's Milotic is really strong and with moves like Confuse Ray and Hypnosis it'll cause a lot of trouble for my Pokémon. So, it would be best to use a Pokémon that can counter those moves." Ash says to himself as he pulls out his next Pokeball and goes to throw it.
"Lapras, I choose you!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends out Lapras who lands in the water. When Lapras appears, she has a smile on her face and is ready to battle. We now come over to where Lorelai, Rika, Larry, and Hassel are they continue to look at the battle as Hassel speaks.
"So, his next Pokémon is Lapras that seems like a good choice" Hassel says with the other 3 nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Nemona looks at Ash's Lapras and speaks.
"I'm not sure why you brought out Lapras Ash, but it stands no chance against Milotic!" Nemona says with Milotic nodding as Ash speaks.
"We'll see about that! Lapras I'm counting on you!" Ash says with Lapras nodding as she along with Milotic get into battle stances. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.
"Lapras use Ice Beam!" Ash calls Lapras quickly fires the icy beam as Nemona speaks.
"Dodge Milotic then use Hydro Pump!" Nemona calls Milotic easily dodges the icy beam then fires out a large stream of water that heads for Lapras as Ash speaks.
"Lapras intercept it with your Hydro Pump!" Ash calls Lapras quickly fires her own Hydro Pump that connects with Milotic's and creates an explosion. Out of the explosion appears Milotic who's now in front of Lapras as Nemona speaks.
"Milotic use Confuse Ray!" Nemona calls before Ash can call for a command Milotic sends out 3 balls of light that shine brightly in Lapras's face and makes the mon confused. Lapras now has a confused look on her face as Nemona speaks.
"Okay Milotic use Hypnosis then Hydro Pump!" Nemona calls Milotic's eyes glow sending out hypnotic waves that put Lapras to sleep and once Lapras's fast asleep Milotic fires out a big stream of water that hits Lapras in the face causing damage to the mon as Nemona speaks.
"Milotic use Hydro Pump again!" Nemona says as Milotic fires out another Hydro Pump that goes to hit Lapras as Ash speaks.
"Lapras use Refresh then dodge!" Ash calls when he does Lapras's body glows green and gets rid of her status conditions. A couple seconds later Lapras wakes up and manages to avoid the Hydro Pump making Ash happy as he speaks.
"Great job Lapras!" Ash says with Lapras nodding as Nemona speaks.
"I see so that's why he sent in Lapras" Nemona says to herself as she smiles and speaks.
"Milotic let's keep going use Hydro Pump again!" Nemona calls Milotic fires out another big stream of water as Ash speaks.
"Lapras dodge then use Waterfall!" Ash calls Lapras manages to easily dodge the Hydro Pump then covers herself in water swims forward and hits Milotic causing damage to the mon. Milotic groans in pain then looks at Lapras as Ash speaks.
"Lapras it's time we give Milotic a taste of its own medicine. Use Sing!" Ash calls Lapras nods and lets out a beautiful singing voice as Nemona speaks.
"Milotic dodge!" Nemona calls but Milotic can't because it's flinching from the Waterfall. A couple seconds later the sing connects with Milotic who becomes drowsy then completely falls asleep. Nemona has a surprised look on her face as she speaks.
"Milotic wake up!" Nemona says but Milotic continues to happily sleep as Ash speaks.
"Okay Lapras, it's payback time! Use Ice Beam!" Ash calls Lapras fires out an icy beam that hits Milotic and causes damage to the mon as Ash speaks.
"Now turn that Ice Beam into a Blizzard!" Ash calls Lapras roars as she turns the icy beam into a big Blizzard that consumes Milotic and freezes the mon. Nemona has a surprised look on her face as Ash smiles and speaks.
"Lapras it's time to end this. Use Waterfall!" Ash calls Lapras covers her body in water swims forward and hits the frozen Milotic. Milotic's broken out of the ice and is sent flying as it lands on a land platform a few feet away Nemona speaks.
"Milotic!" Nemona calls in worry as she looks at the mon and can see that it's knocked out. The ref makes the call.
"Milotic's unable to battle Lapras's the winner!" The ref says making Ash happy as he speaks.
"Yeah! Way to go Lapras!" Ash cheers happily while Lapras smiles. At Prof. Oak's ranch Delia, Mr. Mime, Oak, Daisy, and Ash's Pokémon cheer for Lapras with Clefable, Hitmonlee, Ash's ice types and water types cheering the loudest. Back to the tournament in the stands Ash's friends let out a big cheer for Ash as Kiawe speaks.
"By having Lapras get rid of her status conditions with Refresh it allowed for Ash to have Lapras use Sing to put Milotic asleep." Kiawe says as Tracey speaks.
"And while Milotic was sleeping it allowed for Lapras to land multiple blows on Milotic, freeze it with Blizzard then finish Milotic off with Waterfall." Tracey says as Lana speaks.
"If Ash continues to battle like this he'll win" Lana says while having an excited look on her face with everyone agreeing with her. Back on the battlefield Nemona returns Milotic back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Nemona then puts the ball away as she looks forward and speaks.
"You got me good Ash I didn't know that your Lapras knew Refresh" Nemona says as Ash speaks.
"You see I knew that you were going to have Milotic use a combination of Confuse Ray and Hypnosis again, so I sent in Lapras because I knew that with Refresh, she'd rendered those moves useless." Ash says with Nemona nodding as she speaks.
"That makes sense, and it was my fault for using the same tactic again. But now that, that happen from here on out I won't do that again!" Nemona says as she pulls out her next Pokeball and goes to throw it.
"Quaquaval Go!" Nemona says as she throws the ball forward and sends out her Quaquaval who lands on a landing platform. When the mon appears, it has a smile on its face as Ash speaks.
"Now Quaquaval's here" Ash says as he looks at Lapras and speaks.
"Lapras, do you want to continue?" Ash asks with Lapras nodding as she gets in a battle stance with Quaquaval doing the same. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.
"Lapras use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls Lapras fires out a large stream of water that goes to hit Quaquaval as Nemona speaks.
"Dodge then use Aqua Cutter!" Nemona calls Quaquaval jumps high in the air and dodges the Hydro Pump. Quaquaval covers its feet in water then swings them forward sending out 2 large water blades that head for Lapras as Ash speaks.
"Lapras use Ice Beam!" Ash calls Lapras quickly fires the icy beam that easily goes through the 2 water blades and heads for Quaquaval as Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval use Aqua Jet then Close Combat!" Nemona calls Quaquaval easily dodges the Ice Beam by moving to the right, it then covers its body in water shoots forward and hits Lapras in the face. After that Quaquaval begins to hit Lapras repeatedly with its legs with each kick doing more than the last and causing super effective damage. Quaquaval then kicks Lapras one more time making the mon groan in pain as Ash speaks.
"Use Blizzard!" "Quaquaval use Aqua Jet to dodge!" Both trainers call Lapras roars and summons a massive Blizzard. But Quaquaval quickly covers its body in water and shoots high into the air dodging the attack. Now that Quaquaval's in the air it looks at Lapras as Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval use Mega Kick!" Nemona calls Quaquaval, nods as it begins falling towards Lapras and points its left leg forward as Ash speaks.
"Lapras use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls Lapras fires out a large stream of water that goes to hit Quaquaval as Nemona speaks.
"Cut through it Quaquaval!" Nemona calls as Quaquaval roars and collides with the Hydro Pump. Quaquaval easily cuts through the move and keeps going until it hits Lapras hard in the face creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Lapras!" Ash calls in worry as out of the smoke appears Quaquaval who jumps back and lands on a land platform a few feet away. Everyone continues to look forward as when the smoke clears, they can see Lapras laying on the water knocked out as the ref speaks.
"Lapras's unable to battle Quaquaval's the winner!" The ref calls allowing for Nemona and Quaquaval to cheer in victory. On the other side of the battlefield Ash's sad that Lapras lost but then returns her back to her Pokeball. Once Ash puts the ball away, he notices Nemona return Quaquaval back to its Pokeball and sends Veluza back in who lands in the water. When Veluza appears, it has a serious look on its face as Ash begins to think.
"So, Nemona brought Veluza back in I need to use a Pokémon that'll be able to defeat it fast and that Pokémon is you" Ash says to himself while looking at his next Pokeball, Ash then looks forward and goes to throw the ball.
"Gyarados, I choose you!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and out comes Gyarados. When Gyarados appears he lands in the water and lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave along with a strong wind that not only affects Nemona and Veluza but also the crowd as well. Once Gyarados stops roaring he looks at Veluza and glares at it with Veluza looking back. Nemona looks at Gyarados and gets a big smile on her face as she speaks.
"It's here" Nemona says while having an excited look on her face as back in the stands Tracey speaks.
"Nice it's finally Gyarados's turn" Tracey says as Kiawe speaks.
"He looks as strong as ever" Kiawe says with Lana agreeing with him as Barry speaks.
"But why did Ash bring in Gyarados now wouldn't it have been better to save Gyarados for later?" Barry asks as Violet speaks.
"Ash probably thought the best way to deal with Veluza would be to use Gyarados" Violet responds with Barry nodding. Meanwhile, Pikachu along with Togepi continue to cheer, back on the battlefield Nemona continues to look at Gyarados then back at Ash and speaks.
"I've always wanted to face your Gyarados Ash thank you for giving me this chance." Nemona says as Ash speaks.
"You're welcome and Gyarados is going to take down Veluza!" Ash states with Gyarados roaring in agreement making Nemona smirk as she speaks.
"Okay then show me! Veluza get ready!" Nemona says with Veluza nodding as it along with Gyarados get into battle stances. The ref then calls for the battle to continue as Nemona speaks.
"Veluza use Psycho Cut!" Nemona calls Veluza fires two psychic blades at Gyarados as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados use Crunch!" Ash calls Gyarados covers his teeth in dark energy and bites down on the two blades easily destroying them. Nemona's impressed that Gyarados was able to do that then calls for her next command.
"Okay Veluza use Aqua Jet!" Nemona calls as Veluza covers its body in water and shoots forward going to hit Gyarados as Ash speaks.
"Counter with Bounce!" Ash calls Gyarados covers his body in blue flying energy shoots forward and collides with Veluza. Veluza tries its best to knock Gyarados away, but Gyarados easily overpowers Veluza and sends the mon flying making it spin out of control as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls Gyarados roars and fires out a large stream of water that goes to hit Veluza as Nemona speaks.
"Veluza use Psychic to send it back!" Nemona calls Veluza manages to stop itself from spinning and fires the waves of psychic energy that connects with the Hydro Pump. Veluza then sends the Hydro Pump back at Gyarados who doesn't have a concerned look on his face as Ash speaks.
"Hyper Beam Gyarados!" Ash calls Gyarados roars and fires a large Hyper Beam that easily destroys the Hydro Pump and keeps going until it hits Veluza creating an explosion as Nemona speaks.
"Veluza!" Nemona calls in worry as out of the smoke appears Veluza who lands in the water. When Veluza floats back up to the surface everyone can see that it's knocked out as the ref speaks.
"Veluza's unable to battle Gyarados's the winner!" The ref says as Ash speaks.
"Great job Gyarados!" Ash says happily as Gyarados lets out a roar in victory. Nemona has a surprised look on her face but then smiles and speaks.
"It really is strong" Nemona says to herself as she returns Veluza back to its Pokeball and puts the ball away. In the stands Ash's friends let out a cheer in victory while in the trainer hall Misty and Leaf cheer as well. At Oak's ranch Delia, Mr. Mime, Daisy, Oak, and Ash's Pokémon cheer loud too with Charizard, Dragonair, Raichu, Gengar, Clefable, Flygon, and Ash's water/flying types cheering the loudest. Back in the stadium Nemona pulls out her next Pokeball and speaks.
"Quaquaval come back out!" Nemona says as she throws the ball forward and sends out Quaquaval. When the mon appears, it looks at Gyarados with Gyarados looking at it as Ash speaks.
"So, Quaquaval's back out" Ash says as he then pulls out Gyarados's Pokeball and speaks.
"Gyarados return!" Ash says with the sea serpent nodding as he goes back in his Pokeball. Nemona has a surprised look on her face then speaks.
"You're returning your Gyarados?" Nemona asks with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yep, I'm going to save Gyarados for later" Ash responds as he pulls out his next Pokeball and goes to throw it.
"Dracovish come back out!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends out Dracovish who lands on a land platform. When Dracovish appears, it has a serious look on its face and begins to pant heavily. Back in the stands Lana speaks.
"Dracovish looks tired" Lana says as Kiawe speaks.
"It probably still feels exhausted from its previous battle against Tauros" Kiawe says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Dracovish and speaks.
"Dracovish, I know your tired but hang in there!" Ash says with Dracovish nodding as he gets in a battle stance with Quaquaval doing the same. The ref then calls for the battle to continue as Nemona speaks.
"Use Aqua Cutter!" Nemona calls Quaquaval covers both of its feet in water then swings them out sending out 2 water blades that head for Dracovish as Ash speaks.
"Dracovish dodge then use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls Dracovish manages to easily dodge the blades then fires out a large stream of water that heads for Quaquaval as Nemona speaks.
"Dodge Quaquaval then use Mega Kick!" Nemona calls Quaquaval jumps high in the air and dodges the Hydro Pump. Quaquaval then points its left foot forward and begins falling towards Dracovish as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Dracovish then use Dragon Rush!" Ash calls Dracovish quickly jumps back and dodges Quaquaval's attack as the mon kicks the landing platform instead. Once Dracovish lands it covers its body in dragon energy and begins running forward heading for Quaquaval as Nemona speaks.
"Counter with Mega Kick!" Nemona calls Quaquaval nods as it jumps towards the incoming Dracovish points its left foot forward and collides with the mon. When they collide the 2 mons begin pushing each other back and forth trying to see who's stronger. They continue to do that until they slide away from each other, Dracovish manages to stop itself as Ash speaks.
"Dracovish quick use Fishious Rend!" Ash calls Dracovish nods as it jumps forward its lower jaw glows blue and goes to bite Quaquaval. Quaquaval sees Dracovish coming as Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval dodge then use Triple Axel!" Nemona calls. When Dracovish goes to bite Quaquaval the mon manages to jump back in time and dodges the attack. Once Quaquaval lands it shoots forward, covers both of its feet in ice and kicks Dracovish hard across the face with its right foot. Dracovish groans in pain as Quaquaval then kicks Dracovish two more times doing major damage to the mon as Nemona speaks.
"Now Quaquaval use Aqua Step!" "Dracovish get out of there!" Both trainers' call. Dracovish's unable to dodge in time as Quaquaval begins to not only kick Dracovish but also uses its feather blades as well. Quaquaval continues to hit Dracovish until it does a spin and kicks Dracovish hard in the stomach with its left foot. Dracovish coughs in pain as it's then sent flying, going past Ash and keeps going until it hits the wall behind him creating an explosion as Ash looks back then speaks.
"Dracovish!" Ash calls in worry as when the smoke clears everyone can see Dracovish stuck in the wall and is knocked out. The ref then makes the call.
"Dracovish's unable to battle Quaquaval's the winner!" The ref calls making Nemona smile as she speaks.
"Yeah!" Nemona cheers along with Quaquaval (who gains a Moxie boost). Ash's sad that Dracovish lost but then returns the mon back to its Pokeball and says thank you. Ash then puts the ball back in his pocket as Nemona speaks.
"We now both have 2 Pokémon left Ash! So, are you going bring your Gyarados back out?" Nemona asks as Ash looks at her and speaks.
"Nope I'm still saving Gyarados for later and I'm going to use my next Pokémon instead" Ash responds as he pulls out his next Pokeball and goes to throw it.
"Croconaw, I choose you!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends in Croconaw who lands on a landing platform. Once Croconaw appears he immediately looks at Quaquaval with Quaquaval looking at him as Nemona speaks.
"So, Croconaw's next" Nemona says as back in the stands Kiawe speaks.
"Ash's using his Croconaw next" Kiawe says as Barry speaks.
"They're looking at each other pretty intensely do they have some history?" Barry asks as Tracey speaks.
"You see when Ash and Nemona first battled each other Ash's Croconaw faced Nemona's Quaquaval when it was still a Quaxwell and tied with it." Tracey says with Barry nodding as Barry speaks.
"So, that means whichever one wins this will prove that they're the stronger one" Barry says with Tracey nodding while the others continue to cheer. Back on the battlefield the 2 mons continue to look at each other for a little bit longer until they begin to have a dance off. The 2 mons continue to dance for a little bit until they stop, the crowd claps for the 2 mons as Nemona speaks.
"Just like when they first met" Nemona says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yep, and instead of a tie Croconaw's going to win!" Ash states with Croconaw agreeing with him as Nemona speaks.
"We'll see about that! Let's do this Quaquaval!" Nemona says with Quaquaval nodding as it along with Croconaw get into battle stances. The 2 mons along with their trainers continue to look at each other as the ref speaks.
"Let the battle continue!" The ref calls as Ash and Nemona speak.
"Croconaw use Ice Punch!" "Use Mega Kick Quaquaval!" Both trainers' call. Croconaw covers his right fist in ice and shoots forward while Quaquaval jumps towards Croconaw and points its left foot forward causing the 2 mons to collide. When they collide Croconaw tries his best to push Quaquaval back, but Quaquaval's too strong as it manages to kick Croconaw away. Croconaw's sent flying a few feet away then safely lands back on the land platform. Once he does Croconaw looks at Quaquaval and sees that the mon has its legs ready as Nemona speaks.
"Use Aqua Cutter!" Nemona calls Quaquaval quickly covers both of its feet in water and swings them forward sending out two large water blades that head for Croconaw as Ash speaks.
"Punch them back with Ice Punch!" Ash calls Croconaw covers both of his fists in ice and connects with the 2 blades. When Croconaw does that the 2 blades begin to slowly push Croconaw back making it difficult for the mon as Ash speaks.
"Come on Croconaw punch those back!" Ash yells in encouragement with Croconaw nodding as he roars putting more power into his fists and manages to punch the 2 blades back freezing them in the process. The 2 blades head for Quaquaval as Nemona speaks.
"Dodge Quaquaval then use Mega Kick!" Nemona calls Quaquaval quickly jumps to the right and avoids the 2 frozen blades. Quaquaval then jumps towards Croconaw and goes to kick the mon with its left foot as Ash speaks.
"Croconaw dodge then use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls Croconaw quickly jumps to the left and dodges Quaquaval's attack. Croconaw lands a few feet away, takes a deep breath and fires out a large Hydro Pump that hits Quaquaval causing damage to the mon and begins to push it too as Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval use Aqua Step!" Nemona calls as Quaquaval looks at the Hydro Pump and begins cutting through the move with its water feathers. Quaquaval continues to cut through the attack until it completely destroys the move and is now in front of Croconaw surprising the croc and Ash as Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval use Close Combat!" "Croconaw counter with Aqua Tail!" Both trainers' call. Quaquaval goes to kick Croconaw with its right foot, but Croconaw quickly covers his tail in water spins around and manages to kick Quaquaval's right leg away. This doesn't stop Quaquaval as it then upper cuts Croconaw with its left foot sending the mon high into the air as Nemona speaks.
"Now Quaquaval jump after Croconaw use Bulk Up then Close Combat!" "Croconaw use Hydro Pump!" Both trainers' call. Quaquaval jumps after Croconaw and increases its physical attack/defense. Croconaw sees Quaquaval coming and fires out a big stream of water that goes to hit Quaquaval, but the mon manages to dodge the attack and reach Croconaw. Before Ash can call for a command Quaquaval begins to repeatedly kick Croconaw with its feet with each kick hurting more than the last. Quaquaval then slams its left heel hard onto Croconaw's head and sends the mon crashing back down on the land platform creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Croconaw!" Ash calls in worry as when the smoke clears Croconaw's laying on his stomach groaning in pain. A couple seconds later Croconaw begins trying to stand back up as Ash speaks.
"Croconaw above you!" Ash says as Croconaw looks up and sees Quaquaval heading for him Nemona speaks.
"Use Aqua Jet!" Croconaw dodge then use Dragon Dance!" Both trainers' call. Quaquaval covers its body in water and heads for Croconaw. Croconaw quickly jumps back causing Quaquaval to hit the land platform instead. Croconaw lands a few feet away then begins to break dance with purple draconic energy dancing around his body increasing his attack/speed as Nemona speaks.
"Use Close Combat!" Nemona calls Quaquaval shoots forward and goes to kick Croconaw with its left foot as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Croconaw!" Ash calls Croconaw manages to easily dodge Quaquaval's attack as Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval use Close Combat again!" "Croconaw dodge and use Dragon Dance!" Both trainers' call. Quaquaval shoots forward and reaches Croconaw instantly. Quaquaval goes to kick Croconaw with its right foot, but Croconaw easily dodges the attack. After that Quaquaval continues trying to kick Croconaw but Croconaw continues to dodge by dancing. Also, while Croconaw continues to dodge he uses Dragon Dance again to increase his attack/speed. As Croconaw continues to dodge Nemona speaks.
"You can dodge all you want but you won't win that way!" Nemona says as Ash speaks.
"True and that's why we're now going to attack. Croconaw use Ice Punch!" Ash calls Croconaw dodges another one of Quaquaval's kicks by ducking, Croconaw covers both of his fists in ice jumps upward and upper cuts Quaquaval with his left fist then punches it in the face with his right fist. Croconaw then gets his tail ready as Ash speaks.
"Now use Aqua Tail then Hydro Pump!" Ash calls Croconaw covers his tail in water spins around and slaps Quaquaval hard across the face. After that Croconaw takes a deep breath and fires out a large stream of water that consumes Quaquaval sending the mon flying as it lands on another land platform a few feet away Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval!" Nemona calls in worry as Quaquaval's laying on its back groaning in pain Ash speaks.
"Okay Croconaw let's finish Quaquaval off use Ice Punch!" Ash calls Croconaw jumps forward covers his right fist in ice and goes to punch Quaquaval. As Croconaw's getting closer Nemona smiles and speaks.
"Sorry Ash but you just fell for our trap" Nemona says making Ash confused as Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval dodge then use Triple Axel!" Nemona calls as when Croconaw goes to punch Quaquaval the mon manages to dodge causing Croconaw to punch the land platform instead. Ash has a surprised look on his face as Quaquaval then covers both of its feet in ice shoots forward and kicks Croconaw three times causing damage to the mon as Nemona speaks.
"Now use Mega Kick!" Nemona calls Quaquaval spins around and kicks Croconaw hard in the stomach with its left foot. Croconaw coughs in pain as he's sent flying and lands on another land platform a few feet away as Ash speaks.
"Croconaw!" Ash calls in worry as when the smoke clears Croconaw's laying on his back groaning in pain. Back in the stands Kukui speaks.
"I see so by making Ash think he had the upper hand Nemona knew that Ash would have Croconaw come close to Quaquaval when it was down. And when that happened it allowed for Nemona to have Quaquaval dodge Croconaw's attack and hit Croconaw." Kukui says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Croconaw continues to groan in pain as Nemona speaks.
"Well Ash your Croconaw has certainly gotten a lot stronger, but it seems like it's no match for my Quaquaval so let's end this. Quaquaval jump in the air then head for Croconaw using Mega Kick and boost your speed with Aqua Jet!" Nemona calls with Quaquaval nodding as it jumps high into the air and begins falling towards Croconaw with its left foot forward. Quaquaval then covers its body in water and begins to go fast heading for Croconaw as Ash speaks.
"Croconaw dodge!" Ash calls Croconaw manages to stand back up and sees Quaquaval coming. Croconaw knows that he won't be able to dodge the attack in time and will have to take it head on. Croconaw then holds his hands forward as Quaquaval then comes crashing down. When they collide Quaquaval begins trying to knock Croconaw away but Croconaw's holding on strong as Ash speaks.
"Croconaw!" Ash says as he looks at the mon trying to hold his own and is having difficulty. Ash sees Croconaw struggling and speaks.
"Croconaw don't give up keep trying to knock Quaquaval away!" Ash says with Croconaw nodding as he continues to stand his ground Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval add more power!" Nemona says as Quaquaval roars increasing its power as it begins to press down harder making it more difficult for Croconaw. Back in the stands Tracey speaks.
"This is bad if things keep going like this Croconaw's going to lose" Tracey says while having a worried expression on his face while the others continue to cheer Croconaw on. Back on the battlefield Croconaw continues to struggle as Quaquaval continues to press down harder and harder. Croconaw feels like he's about to give up but then quickly realizes that if he does it'll cause his trainer the match and also make his teammates efforts meaningless. Croconaw doesn't want to lose and wishes that he had more power to defeat Quaquaval. Croconaw feels power building up more and more inside of himself as he then yells.
"CROCO! NAWWWWWWWW!" Croconaw lets out a loud yell and begins to glow a bright white. Everyone has surprised looks on their faces as Jake speaks.
"I don't believe my eyes contestant Ash's Croconaw is evolving!" Jake says while having a surprised look on his face as he along with everyone continues to watch Croconaw glow. Croconaw grows bigger and his body begins to change. Croconaw continues to change more and more until when the light fades away what was once a Croconaw is now a Feraligatr. Feraligatr continues to stand his ground against Quaquaval as Jake speaks.
"Contestant Ash's Croconaw just evolved into a Feraligatr!" Jake says as Ash pulls out his Pokedex to scan the mon.
"Feraligatr the Big Jaw Pokémon, it's the fully evolved form of Croconaw and is a pure Water Type. Feraligatr usually moves slowly but will go at blinding speed when it attacks and bites prey." The Pokedex says as Ash speaks.
"Amazing Feraligatr! Now throw Quaquaval away!" Ash calls with Feraligatr nodding as he manages to easily throw Quaquaval away. Quaquaval manages to land safely on another land platform and looks at Feraligatr with the mon looking at it. In the stands Barry speaks.
"Whoa I wasn't expecting Ash's Croconaw to evolve" Barry says as Kukui speaks.
"Not wanting to lose the battle for his trainer and wanting more power Croconaw evolved into Feraligatr" Kukui says with Barry nodding as Kiawe speaks.
"Now that he's evolved, he should be able to match Quaquaval" Kiawe says with the group nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Nemona has a surprised look on her face then smiles and speaks.
"Amazing Ash I wasn't expecting your Croconaw to evolve!" Nemona says as Ash speaks.
"Me neither but now that he did, he'll take down Quaquaval!" Ash says with Feraligatr roaring in agreement as Nemona speaks.
"Okay let's test it out. Quaquaval use Mega Kick!" Nemona calls Quaquaval shoots towards Feraligatr and goes to kick him with its left foot as Ash speaks.
"Block Feraligatr!" Ash calls Feraligatr, brings up his right arm and blocks Quaquaval's attack. Feraligatr is sent sliding a few feet away then looks at Quaquaval as Nemona speaks.
"Its defense has increased then I'll try this" Nemona says to herself as she calls for her next command.
"Use Close Combat!" Nemona calls Quaquaval, jumps forward and goes to kick Feraligatr with its right leg as Ash speaks.
"Knock it away Feraligatr!" Ash calls as Feraligatr swings out his left arm and manages to easily knock Quaquaval's right leg away. Quaquaval has a surprised look on its face as Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval try kicking it with your left leg!" "Feraligatr knock it away!" Both trainers' call. Quaquaval goes to kick Feraligatr with its left leg, but Feraligatr swings out his right arm and knocks that leg away too as Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval keep using Close Combat!" "Feraligatr block and dodge!" Both trainers' call. Quaquaval begins trying to hit Feraligatr, but the gator begins to easily block/dodge Quaquaval's attacks. As this keeps happening Quaquaval's getting frustrated as it can't land a hit on Feraligatr, Ash can see how frustrated Quaquaval's getting and speaks.
"Feraligatr knock away Quaquaval's legs then use Ice Punch!" Ash calls Feraligatr nods as he swings out his arms and knocks both of Quaquaval's legs away. Quaquaval then looks at Feraligatr and sees him cover his right fist in ice. Feraligatr then punches Quaquaval hard in the stomach making the mon cough in pain as it's sent sliding back a few feet away. Quaquaval groans in pain then looks at Feraligatr as Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval looks like he can barely continue I need to end this now" Nemona says to herself as she speaks.
"Quaquaval use Bulk Up then Aqua Step!" Nemona calls Quaquaval roars as it raises its physical attack/defense then jumps forward as Ash speaks.
"Feraligatr use Dragon Dance then Ice Punch!" Ash calls Feraligatr begins to quickly break dance with purple draconic energy dancing around his body. Feraligatr can feel his attack/speed increase then covers his fists in ice shoots forward and collides with Quaquaval. When the 2 mons collide, they begin to repeatedly kick/punch each other with every hit they land doing more damage than the last as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, that's it Feraligatr!" Ash cheers as Feraligatr punches Quaquaval in the face Nemona speaks.
"Don't give up Quaquaval!" Nemona says as Quaquaval kicks Feraligatr hard in the stomach with its left foot. The 2 mons continue to hit each other until they land one more blow on their opponent and slide away from each other. When they do Quaquaval manages to stop itself then jumps towards Feraligatr as Nemona speaks.
"Now finish Feraligatr off with Mega Kick!" Nemona calls as Quaquaval roars and goes to kick Feraligatr Ash speaks.
"Feraligatr dodge then use Aqua Tail!" Ash calls Feraligatr, manages to quickly move to the left and dodges Quaquaval's attack. Feraligatr covers his tail in water and slams it hard into Quaquaval's stomach. Quaquaval coughs in pain as it's then sent flying crashing onto one of the landing platforms as Nemona speaks.
"Quaquaval!" Nemona calls in worry as when the dust clears everyone can see Quaquaval laying on its back groaning in pain. Quaquaval tries to stand back up but ultimately stays down as the ref speaks.
"Quaquaval's unable to battle Feraligatr's the winner!" The ref calls making Ash smile as he speaks.
"Alright!" Ash lets out a cheer while Feraligatr roars in victory. Back at Oak's ranch Delia, Mr. Mime, Daisy, Oak, and Ash's Pokémon cheer loudly for Ash and Feraligatr with Rillaboom, Skeledirge, Krookodile, Tyrantrum and Ash's water types cheering the loudest. Back in the stadium the crowd cheers loudly for Ash too as Tracey speaks.
"He did it!" Tracey says happily with the others nodding as they continue to cheer as well. In the room where Lorelai, Rika, Larry, and Hassel are Larry speaks.
"And now Nemona has one Pokémon left" Larry says with the other 3 nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Nemona's a little surprised that Quaquaval lost but then smiles and returns the mon back to its Pokeball. Nemona looks at the ball and says thank you then puts the ball away as Ash speaks.
"Great job Feraligatr I knew you could do it and congratulations on evolving!" Ash says making Feraligatr smile as he then begins to break dance causing everyone in the crowd to laugh and clap for the mon. In the trainer hall Misty along with Leaf continue to look at the screen as Misty speaks.
"Looks like Feraligatr can still dance" Misty says with Leaf nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash looks over at Nemona and speaks.
"Well, Nemona you have one Pokémon left while I still have two" Ash says as Nemona looks at him and speaks.
"That's true but don't think that my last Pokémon is weak" Nemona says as Ash speaks.
"Oh, you don't have to worry about that as since it's your last one I'm expecting it to be strong" Ash responds making Nemona smile as she speaks.
"That's good to hear Ash and now I believe it's time for me to send him out!" Nemona says as she pulls out her last Pokeball and goes to throw it.
"Now Dondozo Come Out!" Nemona says as she throws the ball high into the air and out of it comes a large Piscine Pokémon. The mon lands in the water causing some of the water to come out and lets out a loud mighty roar creating a big shockwave along with a strong gust of wind (It's more powerful than Gyarados's was). The wind affects Ash and Feraligatr trying to push the two of them away, but they stand their ground. The wind also affects the crowd too and breaks a few windows as well. When the mon is done roaring it looks at Feraligatr and has a serious look on its face as Ash speaks.
"Whoa it's huge" Ash says as he then pulls out his Pokedex to scan the mon.
"Dondozo the Big Catfish Pokémon and a pure Water Type. This Pokémon is a glutton but is terrible at gathering food, so it teams up with Tatsugiri to catch prey" The Pokedex says as Ash looks at the mon. Back in the stands Barry speaks.
"That's bigger than Ash's Gyarados" Barry says as Lana speaks.
"I've never seen a water type Pokémon this big before" Lana says as Violet speaks.
"That Pokémon is called Dondozo it's native to the far Paldea region and can be pretty powerful too." Violet says with the group nodding as Barry speaks.
"Looks like Ash has another tough opponent to beat" Barry says with the group nodding as they continue to look at the battle. Back on the battlefield Ash along with Feraligatr continue to look at Dondozo as Nemona speaks.
"So, Ash what do you think of my Dondozo?" Nemona asks as Ash speaks.
"Well, it's huge" Ash says as Nemona speaks.
"Yep, my Dondozo is one of the biggest ones in Paldea it took a lot to catch him. Also, if you thought that Quaquaval was strong well you haven't seen anything yet." Nemona says as Dondozo roars agreeing with Nemona as Ash then looks at Feraligatr and speaks.
"Feraligatr, can you continue?" Ash asks with the mon nodding as Ash speaks.
"Okay Feraligatr let's do this!" Ash says with Feraligatr roaring in agreement as he along with Dondozo get into battle stances. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.
"Use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls Feraligatr fires out a big stream of water that goes to hit Dondozo as Nemona speaks.
"Use Waterfall!" Nemona calls Dondozo covers its body in water swims forward, easily goes through the Hydro Pump and hits Feraligatr. Feraligatr is sent flying and crashes next to Ash as he looks at the mon and speaks.
"Feraligatr!" Ash says as he can see that Feraligatr's knocked out the ref makes the call.
"Feraligatr's unable to battle Dondozo's the winner!" The ref calls making Nemona smile as she speaks.
"Way to go Dondozo!" Nemona says happily which makes the mon smile. Back in the trainer hall Leaf speaks.
"I know that Ash's Feraligatr was tired, but I didn't think that he'd go down in one hit" Leaf says as Misty speaks.
"And now they both have 1 Pokémon left" Misty says with Leaf nodding as they continue to look at the screen. Back on the battlefield Ash's sad that Feraligatr lost but then smiles and returns the mon back to his Pokeball. Ash looks at the ball telling Feraligatr thank you and to get a good rest as he then puts the ball back on his belt. Once he does Nemona speaks.
"Hey Ash, my Dondozo's sure is strong huh?" Nemona asks as Ash looks at her and speaks.
"Yeah, your right he is strong, and my final Pokémon will match his strength!" Ash says while holding his final Pokeball forward and making Nemona smirk. Ash takes a deep breath, gets a serious look on his face and goes to throw the ball.
"Gyarados, I CHOOSE YOU!" Ash says as he throws the ball high in the air and out of it appears Gyarados. Gyarados lands in the water and lets out a mighty roar creating a shockwave along with a strong wind that doesn't affect Dondozo. When Gyarados's done roaring he looks at Dondozo and can instantly feel how strong it is with Dondozo thinking the same about Gyarados. Back in the stands Kukui speaks.
"This is it the final battle and it's between two water type titans" Kukui says with the group nodding as they continue to watch. Back on the battlefield Nemona speaks.
"Ash I always wanted to have my Dondozo go up against your Gyarados let's make this a good one!" Nemona says as Ash speaks.
"You got it!" Ash responds making Nemona smile as she then looks over at Dondozo and speaks.
"Dondozo Ash's Gyarados is strong, but I know that you're stronger so let's win!" Nemona says with Dondozo roaring in agreement as Ash looks at Gyarados and speaks.
"Gyarados let's show them that you're stronger!" Ash says with Gyarados roaring in agreement as he along with Dondozo get into battle stances. There's now silence in the air both trainers along with their Pokémon continue to look at each other and have serious looks on their faces. The crowd continues to watch too waiting for the battle to start as the ref speaks.
"This is the final battle both trainers have one Pokémon left! Whoever defeats their opponents Pokémon first will be declared the winner!" The ref says as the 2 trainers along with their Pokémon continue to look at each other the ref speaks.
"Now let the final match begin!" The ref says as Ash and Nemona speak.
"Use Hydro Pump!" The 2 trainers call as Gyarados along with Dondozo both fire large streams of water at each other that collide. The 2 attacks go back and forth trying to see which one's stronger. They keep doing that for a little bit longer until they both explode. When that happens Nemona calls for a command.
"Use Waterfall!" Nemona calls as out of the smoke Dondozo appears with its body covered in water and is heading for Gyarados as Ash speaks.
"Counter with your Waterfall Gyarados!" Ash calls Gyarados covers his body in water shoots forward and collides with Dondozo. The moment the 2 mons collide they create a big shockwave and a strong wind that affects the crowd. The 2 mons begin pushing each other back and forth trying to see who's stronger. They continue to do that until they both slide away from each other as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados use Hyper Beam!" Ash calls Gyarados fires out a large orange beam from his mouth that goes to hit Dondozo as Nemona speaks.
"Dondozo use Dive!" Nemona calls Dondozo quickly dives under water and dodges the attack. A couple seconds later Dondozo bursts from underneath Gyarados and sends the mon high into the air as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados use Bounce then Aqua Tail!" Ash calls Gyarados quickly readjusts himself glows in blue flying energy and shoots downward. Gyarados covers his tail in water and slams it down hard on Dondozo's head knocking the mon down deeper into the water. A couple seconds later Dondozo appears back to the surface looks at Gyarados and has its mouth opened with Gyarados having his mouth opened too as their trainers speak.
"Use Hydro Pump!" Both trainers call as the 2-mons fire their own Hydro Pumps that collide with each other and create an explosion. When the explosion clears the 2 mons look at each other and have serious looks on their faces as Ash thinks.
"Looks like they're evenly matched" Ash says to himself as Nemona speaks.
"Your Gyarados is really something else Ash it's been a while since another Pokémon has matched Dondozo in strength" Nemona says as Ash speaks.
"Thanks, and your Dondozo's strong too Nemona but we're not done yet as Gyarados will get stronger!" Ash says with Gyarados roaring in agreement making Nemona smile as she speaks.
"That's good to hear because now I think it's finally time for me to use this" Nemona says as she pulls out her Tera orb Ash speaks.
"Wait is that what I think it is?" Ash asks with Nemona nodding as she speaks.
"Yep, and now it's time for Dondozo to become stronger!" Nemona says as her Tera orb begins to glow surprising everyone as back to where Lorelai, Rika, Larry, and Hassel are Hassel speaks.
"Lady Nemona's finally using it" Hassel says with the other 3 nodding as back on the battlefield Nemona has her eyes closed. Nemona takes a deep breath, opens her eyes and speaks.
"Dondozo shine bright and become a crashing wave that pushes everything out of your way!" Nemona says with Dondozo nodding as Nemona continues to speak.
"NOW TERASTALLIZE!" Nemona says as she throws the orb over Dondozo's head and the orb glows more intensely. After that Dondozo's body becomes incased in crystal then a couple seconds later breaks out of it. When Dondozo appears from the crystal its body is now glistening like a polished gemstone, there's also a Water fountain jewel on top of Dondozo's head. Dondozo has its eyes closed then opens them and lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave/wind that pushes Gyarados back a couple feet away. Then once Dondozo's done roaring it looks at Gyarados having a serious look on its face. Ash along with Gyarados have surprised looks on their faces as Jake speaks.
"Contestant Nemona has Terastallized her Dondozo!" Jake says as everyone in the crowd and those watching on TV have surprised looks on their faces while Nemona smiles. Back in the stands Lillie speaks.
"That's Terastallization? I've read about it in books, but this is my first time seeing it in real life" Lillie says as Kukui speaks.
"Well, I certainly wasn't expecting this and its tera type looks to be Tera water" Kukui says as Tracey speaks.
"This isn't the first time that Nemona has used this against Ash, back when they first battled Nemona Terastallized her Meowscarada and defeated his Grovyle" Tracey says as Barry speaks.
"In that case since Ash has already experienced it, he should have a way to counter it right?" Barry asks as Kukui speaks.
"Possibly but that look on Ash's face tells me that he wasn't expecting Nemona to Terastallize her Dondozo, also now that Dondozo's Terastallize its water type moves will be more powerful and Ash's Gyarados water type attacks won't do much damage to Dondozo" Kukui says as Kiawe speaks.
"That means this battle has just become even more challenging for Ash" Kiawe says with the group nodding as they continue to look at the battle. Back on the battlefield Ash along with Gyarados still have surprised looks on their faces as Nemona speaks.
"Hey Ash, I bet you weren't expecting this now, were you?" Nemona asks as Ash speaks.
"You're right I wasn't but I thought that you decided that you weren't going to rely on Terastallizing your Pokémon?" Ash asks as Nemona speaks.
"Yeah, I wasn't but during this battle I felt as though I should be using my full power, so I decided to Terastallize Dondozo" Nemona responds with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"So, that's why" Ash says as he then smiles and speaks.
"Well, Nemona even though I didn't think that you were going to use Terastallization but I'm happy that you did because I did want to go against it again and this time, we'll beat it! Right Gyarados?!" Ash says as Gyarados roars agreeing with Ash making Nemona smile as she speaks.
"I knew you'd understand Ash and even though you want to beat Dondozo we won't let you!" Nemona says as Dondozo roars agreeing with Nemona and making Ash smile. After that there's now silence in the air the 2 trainers along with their Pokémon continue to look at each other until a water bubble pops Ash speaks.
"Gyarados use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls Gyarados roars and fires out a large stream of water that heads for Dondozo as Nemona speaks.
"Don't move Dondozo!" Nemona says with the mon nodding as the Hydro Pump hits it. When the Hydro Pump disappears Dondozo looks unfazed as Ash speaks.
"Looks like water type moves really won't work" Ash says to himself as Nemona speaks.
"Okay Ash it's our turn! Dondozo use Rain Dance then Surf!" Nemona calls Dondozo roars to the sky turning it cloudy as it then begins to rain. Dondozo can feel its waterpower growing and continues to roar summoning a giant wave of water that dwarfs Gyarados as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados use Hurricane!" Ash calls Gyarados roars and summons a giant Hurricane that collides with the giant wave. The two moves go back and forth for a little while until they cancel each other out. When that happens Nemona calls for her next command.
"Use Waterfall!" Nemona calls Dondozo, covers its body in water shoots forward at a fast speed and hits Gyarados pushing the mon back as he crashes through multiple land platforms until he crashes into one more and stops as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados are you okay?!" Ash asks as Gyarados roars saying that he's fine but does groan in pain as the Waterfall did hurt as Ash thinks.
"That one Waterfall did a lot of damage to Gyarados I got to make sure that Gyarados doesn't get hit too much" Ash says to himself as Nemona speaks.
"Ash if you're not going to attack then we will! Dondozo use Heavy Slam!" Nemona calls Dondozo jumps high in the air covers its body in steel energy then begins falling towards Gyarados as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados dodge then use Bounce and spin around Dondozo!" Ash calls Gyarados sees Dondozo coming and quickly backs away as Dondozo slams on the water and knocks a few of the landing platforms off the field. Once Gyarados backs up enough he glows in blue flying energy, shoots forward and begins spinning around Dondozo as Nemona speaks.
"Dondozo use Surf!" "Gyarados use Hurricane!" Both trainers' call. Before Dondozo can use Surf Gyarados continues to spin around Dondozo and roars summoning a large Hurricane that consumes the mon. Dondozo's spinning around inside the Hurricane and is groaning in pain. A couple seconds later the Hurricane disappears, Dondozo's high in the air and begins to fall back to the battlefield as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados fly in the air grab Dondozo and use Bounce!" Ash calls Gyarados nods as he quickly flies in the air and wraps his body around Dondozo. After that Gyarados glows blue and shoots high into the air going higher and higher as Ash speaks.
"That's it Gyarados keep going!" Ash says as Nemona speaks.
"What is he doing?" Nemona questions as she then remembers watching Ash's battle against Paul in the Kanto league" Nemona realizes what Ash's trying to do and speaks.
"Wait are you going to use that?!" Nemona asks as Ash speaks.
"Yep, that's right Gyarados use Bounce Toss!" Ash calls. Up in the air once Gyarados gets high enough he lets out a roar glows blue and begins heading back down to the battlefield at a fast speed with his body still wrapped around Dondozo as Nemona speaks.
"Dondozo quick break out of there!" "Too late! Do it Gyarados!" Both trainers' call. Unfortunately for Nemona Dondozo can't break free in time as Gyarados roars and slams Dondozo hard into the water as he then flies back in the air. After that Gyarados then looks at Dondozo and sees the mon laying on its stomach groaning in pain as Ash speaks.
"Yes, looks like that worked!" Ash says happily as Nemona speaks.
"Dondozo use Avalanche!" Nemona calls Dondozo lets out a mighty roar as a dark cloud opens above Gyarados and out of it appears multiple large chucks of ice that begin to hit Gyarados creating multiple explosions as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados!" Ash calls in worry as when the explosions stop Gyarados begins falling back towards the battlefield as Nemona speaks.
"Now Dondozo use Waterfall!" Nemona calls Dondozo roars as it covers its body in water and shoots forward. Before Gyarados lands in the water Dondozo hits Gyarados and sends the mon flying a few feet away as he crashes into the water groaning in pain. Ash's about to ask Gyarados if he's okay as Nemona speaks.
"Okay Dondozo let's keep up the pressure use Tera Blast!" Nemona calls Dondozo lets out a mighty roar as the jewel on its head glows more intensely. The gem continues to glow more and more until Dondozo fires out a giant beam of energy that heads for Gyarados as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados quick counter with Hyper Beam!" Ash calls Gyarados, stands back up quickly charges up the attack and fires out a giant Hyper Beam that collides with the Tera Blast. The moment the 2 attacks collide they create a big shockwave along with a strong gust of wind that affects the crowd as Daisy speaks.
"This is crazy!" Daisy says as she along with Lily, Violet, Burnet, Lillie and Tracey cover their eyes and try not to get blown away. Meanwhile Kukui, Kiawe, Lana, Barry, Pikachu, and Togepi ignore the wind and continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield the 2 beams continue to go back and forth. Gyarados's Hyper Beam starts to slowly push the Tera Blast back as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, that's it Gyarados keep going!" Ash cheers as Gyarados roars increasing the power of his Hyper Beam as it continues to slowly push the Tera Blast back. Nemona is impressed that Gyarados's able to push the blast back as she speaks.
"Dondozo don't let him beat you use more power!" Nemona says as Dondozo roars it increases the power of its Tera Blast more until it breaks through the Hyper Beam and hits Gyarados creating a big explosion as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados!" Ash calls in worry as when the smoke clears everyone can see Gyarados groaning in pain and panting heavily as Nemona speaks.
"Looks like your Gyarados is about to faint Ash so now we'll end it with this final attack. Dondozo use Tera Blast again!" Nemona calls Dondozo roars and begins to charge up the beam. Back in the stands Tracey speaks.
"If that attack lands Gyarados's going to faint!" Tracey says while having a concerned look on his face as Kiawe speaks.
"Come on Ash!" Kiawe says as he along with everyone else continue to cheer Ash on. In the trainer hall Misty along with Leaf continue to watch the screen and cheer on Ash too. Back at Oak's ranch Ash's other Pokémon are cheering loudly for Ash and Gyarados giving them encouragement. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Gyarados and speaks.
"Gyarados, I know your tired, but you got to dodge Dondozo's attack!" Ash says as Gyarados continues to groan in pain Nemona speaks.
"Sorry Ash but this is the end Fire Dondozo!" Nemona calls the jewel on Dondozo's head glows more intensely as it roars and sends out a big beam that heads for Gyarados as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados look out!" Ash yells but Gyarados doesn't move. Everyone continues to watch, seeing the beam getting closer and closer to Gyarados. In Gyarados's mind he feels pain all over his body but doesn't want to lose, Gyarados opens his eyes and roars to the sky as a giant electric bolt appears from the clouds and comes crashing down on Dondozo causing the mon to cry out in pain as Nemona speaks.
"What?!" Nemona says in shock as the Tera Blast then disappears as it was just inches away from hitting Gyarados. Meanwhile, the electric bolt continues to shock Dondozo until there's an explosion as Nemona speaks.
"Dondozo!" Nemona calls in worry as when the smoke clears Dondozo's groaning in pain and pants a little bit as Ash looks at Gyarados and speaks.
"Gyarados did you just learn Thunder?" Ash asks as Gyarados looks at him and smiles. Ash gets a big smile on his face and speaks.
"Amazing Gyarados!" Ash says happily as Gyarados continues to smile. Back in the stands Kukui speaks.
"By not wanting to lose and seeing that his other attacks weren't doing a lot of damage to Dondozo Gyarados learned Thunder" Kukui says as Tracey speaks.
"That's great because now Gyarados has a way to deal more damage to Dondozo" Tracey says with Kukui nodding while the others continue to cheer. Back on the battlefield Nemona has a surprised look on her face then looks at Ash smiles and speaks.
"Amazing Ash! You along with your Pokémon are simply amazing! But just because your Gyarados learned Thunder doesn't mean that it'll be enough to defeat Dondozo!" Nemona says with Dondozo roaring in agreement as Ash speaks.
"Yep, I know and from here on out we're going to be using our full power!" Ash says with Gyarados roaring in agreement making Nemona smile more as she speaks.
"In that case enough talking and let's keep battling! Dondozo use Waterfall!" Nemona calls Dondozo roars covers its body in water and shoots forward as Ash speaks.
"Counter with your Waterfall Gyarados!" Ash calls Gyarados roars as he covers his body in water shoots forward and collides with Dondozo. The moment the 2 mons collide they slide a few feet away from each other as Nemona speaks.
"Use Surf!" Nemona calls Dondozo roars and summons a large wave of water that heads for Gyarados as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados use Thunder!" Ash calls Gyarados roars to the sky and out of it appears a large electric bolt that easily cuts through the giant wave and hits Dondozo, causing super effective damage and creating an explosion. Dondozo groans in pain while Ash cheers as Nemona speaks.
"Use Tera Blast!" Nemona calls Dondozo, lets out a mighty roar and fires out a beam that hits Gyarados creating an explosion and causing more damage to the mon as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados use Hyper Beam!" Ash calls Gyarados, lets out a mighty roar and fires out a giant orange beam that hits Dondozo creating an explosion and sends the mon sliding back a few feet away. After that Dondozo looks at Gyarados and begins to pant heavily with Gyarados doing the same. The 2 mons continue to look at each other as their trainers begin to think.
"Looks like they are about to faint soon which means I should end this now!" Ash and Nemona say to themselves as Nemona speaks.
"Dondozo we're ending this! Use Wave Crash!" Nemona calls Dondozo lets out a mighty roar as it incases its body in an intense water and shoots forward heading for Gyarados as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados use Dragon Dance then Waterfall!" Ash calls Gyarados roars as purple draconic energy dances around him increasing his attack/speed. Gyarados then covers his body in water and shoots forward heading for Dondozo. We see the two-mons heading for each other and are about to collide as their trainers speak.
"DO ITTTTTTTTTT!" Ash along with Nemona yell with Gyarados and Dondozo roaring as they then collide with each other and create a big explosion that causes the entire battlefield to shake and creates a shockwave along with a strong wind. Ash along with Nemona are almost blown away from the blast but stand their ground. The shaking along with the wind continues until they then come to a stop. The Rain Dance goes away as everyone then looks forward and begin waiting for the big cloud of smoke to clear as Ash and Nemona speak.
"Gyarados!" "Dondozo!" The two trainers say as they along with everyone continue to look at the smoke until it finally clears showcasing the two mons. Everyone can see the 2 mons who are floating on the surface of the water and aren't moving (Dondozo's not in its tera form anymore). The ref takes a good look at the 2 mons and makes the call.
"Both Gyarados and Dondozo are unable to battle! Seeing as contestants Ash and Nemona have no more Pokémon left this battle is a tie!" The ref calls surprising everyone as Jake speaks.
"And there you have it everyone the intense battle between contestants Ash and Nemona came out to be a tie!" Jake says while having a surprised look on his face too. The people watching on TV are also surprised as we then come over to Paul in the Petalburg City Pokémon Center, he has a stoic look on his face then walks out of the center heading for his next destination. Back in the stadium the group have surprised looks on their faces as Barry speaks.
"After all of that it came out to be a tie" Barry says in surprise with the group nodding. Meanwhile, in the room where Lorelai, Rika, Larry, and Hassel are they're surprised too as Larry speaks.
"Well, that was unexpected" Larry says as Rika speaks.
"Yeah, I didn't think that it would come out to be a tie" Rika says as Lorelai speaks.
"Me neither but this just proves that they're both equals" Lorelai says with Rika and Larry nodding as Hassel speaks.
"Even though the battle came out to be a tie it was still a marvelous battle!" Hassel says as he begins to cry while the other 3 look at him. In the trainer hall Misty along with Leaf have surprised looks on their faces too. Back on the battlefield Nemona along with Ash are surprised too then return their Pokémon back to their Pokeball's. When they do Ash tells Gyarados thank you and puts the ball back on his belt and once he does that, he hears a voice.
"Ash!" The voice says as Ash looks at sees Nemona running over to him. When she gets close enough, she pants a little bit, then when she catches her breath, she looks at Ash and speaks.
"That battle was Amazing! It's a shame that it was a tie but that had to have been the best battle that I've had on my Orange Island journey so far!" Nemona says while having a smile on her face Ash looks at her smiles and speaks.
"Yeah, I agree that was also the best battle I had on my journey in the Orange Islands too" Ash says with Nemona nodding as Ash continues to speak.
"But the next time we battle it won't end in a tie and the winners will be my Pokémon and Me!" Ash states while having a determined look on his face as Nemona looks at him smiles and speaks.
"I feel the same and let's settle this in the Orange League!" Nemona says as Ash speaks.
"Sounds good to me" Ash responds as he along with Nemona then shake each other's hands as Jake then speaks.
"Let's give a big round of applause for contestants Ash and Nemona for giving us a great battle today!" Jake says as the crowd claps/cheers for Ash and Nemona making the two kids smile as they wave at them then begin walking toward the trainer hall. A few minutes later Ash along with Nemona have made it back to the trainer hall Misty and Leaf run over to them saying that their battle was amazing making the two kids happy as they then hear a voice.
"Will contestants Misty and Leaf please come to the battlefield!" Jake says as Misty speaks.
"Looks like it's finally time" Misty says as Leaf speaks.
"Misty let's give this battle everything we got" Leaf says while having a smile on her face with Misty smiling too as Ash speaks.
"Me and Nemona will be watching your battle in the stands with everyone else" Ash says as Nemona speaks.
"I hope you too have an amazing and Fruitful Battle!" Nemona says with Misty and Leaf nodding. After that Ash along with Nemona tell them good luck and begin walking towards the crowd while Misty and Leaf begin walking towards the battlefield. A few minutes later Ash along with Nemona have met up with everyone else, the group tell Ash and Nemona that their battle was amazing as Ash and Nemona then say thank you. Tracey then hands Pikachu back to Ash who goes on Ash's shoulder and Ash also decides to hold Togepi too. Ash along with Nemona then sit down and look forward as Kiawe speaks.
"I can't believe that we're going to be watching Misty and Leaf battle each other again" Kiawe says as Lana speaks.
"Yeah, their battle with each other on the SS. Anne was amazing and I just know that this one's going to be great too" Lana says as Nemona then looks at Ash and speaks.
"By the way Ash who're you rooting for?" Nemona asks as Ash thinks for a little bit smiles and speaks.
"I'm rooting for both" Ash responds as he then begins to cheer on both Misty and Leaf with Pikachu and Togepi doing the same as Nemona speaks.
"Then I'll do the same" Nemona says as she along with Lana, Kiawe, and Tracey begin to cheer both girls on as Lily speaks.
"I can't believe that Misty made it to the finals" Lily says as Daisy speaks.
"I know right I wish I was there instead as I look so much better in the spotlight than Misty" Daisy says as Violet speaks.
"Come on you two you had your chance and lost so now we need to support Misty" Violet says with the 2 girls nodding as they along with Violet begin to cheer on Misty. Meanwhile on the battlefield Misty along with Leaf have taken their battle positions and are looking at each other, having smiles on their faces. They continue to look at each other until the ref appears, when the ref appears they see that it's Lorelai. Both girls have surprised looks on their faces as Jake speaks.
"Seeing as this is the final battle of the Mandarin Island Tournament Lorelai has decided to become the referee of the final battle." Jake says as Lorelai looks at the two girls and speaks.
"I wanted to watch you two battle up close I hope that you're okay with me being the referee" Lorelai says as Misty along with Leaf lose their shocked expressions then smile telling Lorelai that they don't mind which makes the woman happy. Back in the stands the group have surprised looks on their faces as Tracey speaks.
"So, Lorelai's the referee for the final match" Tracey says as Barry speaks.
"Man, that makes me jealous I wish she was the referee for my battle" Barry says while having an annoyed look on his face with Nemona saying the same thing as Lillie speaks.
"Wouldn't Lorelai being the referee for this battle make Misty and Leaf nervous?" Lillie asks as Ash speaks.
"True it is nerve racking having an Elite 4 member be the one to referee the match but at the same time this also gives them more motivation to win." Ash says with Lillie nodding as she along with everyone else continue to look at the battlefield. Back on the battlefield Lorelai begins to speak.
"This is the Final match of the day and the Final battle of the Mandarin Island Tournament. It's between contestants Misty and Leaf. Both trainers have fought hard to reach the finals and will no doubt give us an amazing battle!" Lorelai says as she continues to speak.
"This battle is a full 6v6 single battle both trainers are allowed to substitute their Pokémon at any time and whoever defeats all of their opponents Pokémon first will be declared the winner! Do both trainers understand?" Lorelai says with both girls nodding making the woman smile as she continues to speak.
"Now then will both trainers please send out your first Pokémon!" Lorelai says as Leaf speaks.
"This is it Misty let's give it everything we got!" Leaf says while holding a Pokeball in her hand as Misty speaks.
"Right!" Misty says while also holding a Pokeball in her hand. The 2 girls look at each other then throw their Pokeball's forward sending out their mons as the chapter comes to an end.

I decided for the battle to end in a tie as I felt as though it makes since as it showcases just how far Ash and Nemona have come on their journey in the Orange Islands, and this will also give them more motivation to defeat each other when they battle in the Orange League.
