Chapter 110: Orange League Finals! Vs Drake!
Hello everyone, this chapter will cover the first part of Ash's battle against Drake, and I hope you all enjoy it!
The chapter begins one day after the last chapter ended and it's currently 10:30am. We come over to Pummelo beach and see Misty, Togetic, Poliwag, Leaf, and Tracey watching Ash train his Pokémon. The Pokémon that Ash's training are Pikachu, Charizard, his shiny Dragonite, Lucario, Greninja and Snorlax. We see the mons in teams of two consisting of Pikachu and Snorlax, Charizard and Dragonite and Lucario and Greninja. The first team we focus on is Lucario and Greninja as we see the two of them clash and back away from each other.
Lucario begins running towards Greninja as the ninja frog fires out a Water Shuriken that goes to hit Lucario. Lucario uses Double Team creating multiple clones of herself and dodges Greninja's attack. Lucario along with her clones then fire out multiple Aura Sphere's that head for Greninja. Greninja isn't worried as he summons two water blades from his hands (using Liquidation) and begins to easily cut through the Aura Sphere's. Once Greninja gets rid of the last one he sees Lucario jumping towards him.
Lucario covers her left fist in orange fighting energy while Greninja covers his right fist in blue flying energy. A couple seconds later the two mons collide then back away from each other. Lucario and Greninja stare at each other and run forward going to continue their battle. Up in the air we see Charizard and Dragonite training with each other. We see Charizard letting out a roar as he fires a big Flamethrower that goes to hit Dragonite. Dragonite sees the attack coming and quickly fires out a large Hyper Beam. The Hyper Beam easily goes through the stream of fire and goes to hit Charizard, but the fire lizard easily dodges the attack. Charizard sees Dragonite heading towards him with Dragon Rush as Charizard flies forward with his claws covered in green dragon energy and collides with Dragonite. The two mons begin going back and forth trying to see who's stronger.
They continue to do that until they roar creating an explosion. Charizard along with Dragonite appear out of the explosion as they look at each other Charizard's impressed by how much Dragonite's grown which makes the dragon happy. The two mons then get serious looks on their faces as they shoot forward continuing their battle. Back on the ground we see Pikachu fire a Thunderbolt at Snorlax, but the mon easily destroys it with Mega Punch. Pikachu then suddenly appears in front of Snorlax and goes to hit him with Iron Tail, but Snorlax blocks with his left arm. Snorlax's body gains an orange outline (using High Horsepower) and goes to hit Pikachu with his right fist. Pikachu quickly uses Extreme Speed and shoots high into the air. Snorlax looks at Pikachu and fires a Hyper Beam while Pikachu fires a Thunderbolt. The two moves' head for each other and collide, creating an explosion. Pikachu then lands back on the ground as he along with Snorlax charge at each other to continue their battle. Off to the side we see Ash watching his Pokémon train together while having a smile on his face. Ash continues to watch the 6-mons train with each other for a little while longer then speaks.
"Okay guys that's enough!" Ash says with the 6-mons nodding as they then begin to relax. Misty along with Leaf and Tracey walk over to Ash. Once they get close enough Tracey speaks.
"So, Ash these are the 6 Pokémon that you're using for your battle against Drake?" Tracey asks as Ash looks at him and speaks.
"Yep, because I feel as though with these 6, they'll be able to take down Drake." Ash responds with Tracey nodding as Leaf speaks.
"I've to say they're all looking great and I'm a little surprised that you're not using Gyarados." Leaf says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"I thought about using Gyarados, but I decided not to as I wanted to give Snorlax a chance to battle in the league." Ash responds with Leaf nodding as Misty looks at Ash and speaks.
"Ash I just know that you're going to do great, and we believe in you" Misty says with Togetic and Poliwag agreeing with her and making Ash smile as he speaks.
"Thanks Misty." Ash says with Misty nodding as Ash then looks over at his Pokémon and speaks.
"Hey guys come here" Ash says with the 6-mons nodding as they run over to him. Once they get close enough Ash looks at the 6 mons and speaks.
"Okay guys today's the day where we go up against Drake who's the strongest trainer in the Orange Islands and who has defeated my dad before. It's going to be a hard battle, but I know that with you guys we can win!" Ash says with the 6-mons nodding as Ash continues to speak.
"Now then let's bring home that trophy!" Ash says while raising his right fist in the air making the 6-mons excited as they cheer too. Ash along with the others look at them and smile. After that Ash returns his Pokémon other than Pikachu back to their Pokeball's and he along with the others head over to the Pokémon Center. Once they make it Ash has Nurse Joy heal his Pokémon and when they're fully healed the group begin walking towards Pummelo Stadium. 20 minutes later we come to Pummelo Stadium and see that the stands are packed with people. We go over to the group who're sitting with Nemona, Rinto, Cameron, Hau, and Barry. They all look around as Hau speaks.
"There's a lot more people here than there were yesterday." Has says as Tracey speaks.
"That's because Drake's battling so a lot of people want to watch him battle." Tracey says as Barry speaks.
"I wonder how strong this Drake guy is." Barry says as Rinto speaks.
"I heard that whenever a challenger reaches Drake, they're unable to beat his first 3 Pokémon." Rinto says as Cameron speaks.
"Really his first 3? Doesn't that make him pretty unbeatable then?" Cameron asks as Rinto speaks.
"Not quite as I also heard that 8 years ago there was a trainer who managed to beat Drake but I'm not sure who it is." Rinto says with Cameron nodding as Nemona speaks.
"Well that just makes the battle more exciting" Nemona says with the group nodding as they then hear a voice.
"It's now time to reveal our trainers!" Jake says as out of the hallway appears Ash along with Pikachu as Jake speaks.
"The first to appear is the Challenger Ash Ketchum along with his Pikachu. Ash throughout this tournament has shown to be a very skilled/powerful trainer who has battled/defeated many tough opponents and has earned the right to challenge Drake!" Jake says as the crowd begins to cheer, causing Ash along with Pikachu to wave at them until they make it to the middle of the battlefield. On the other side of the battlefield, we see Drake exiting out of a hallway as Don George speaks.
"The second to appear is the man himself the Supreme Gym Leader and the strongest trainer in the Orange Islands. Drake!" Don George says as the crowd begins to cheer even louder for Drake who looks at the crowd and waves at them. A couple seconds later Drake stops waving at them as he reaches the center of the battlefield too and looks at Ash along with Pikachu. The two trainers are staring at each other as Drake speaks.
"Looks like you kept your promise after all" Drake says as Ash speaks.
"Yep, and I'm going to win" Ash states with Pikachu agreeing with him and making Drake smile. After that he along with Ash shake hands then walk over to their sides of the battlefield. Once they make it Jake speaks.
"And now it's time to introduce the referee for this battle!" Jake says as suddenly Wikstrom appears. Don George then speaks.
"The referee for this battle is going to be Wikstrom of the Kalos Elite 4!" Don George says as Wikstrom begins walking over to the referee spot. The crowd cheers/claps for him while Wikstrom waves, he continues to wave until he makes it to the referee spot. Once he does, he looks at both trainers and begins to speak.
"This is a full 6v6 single battle between Drake the Supreme Gym Leader and the Challenger Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town. Only the challenger is allowed to make substitutions and whoever defeats all of their opponents Pokémon first will be declared the winner! Do both trainers understand?" Wikstrom asks with the two of them nodding as Wikstrom speaks.
"Now then will both trainers please send out your first Pokémon!" Wikstrom says as Drake pulls out a Pokeball and speaks.
"I'll bring mine out first. Ditto come out!" Drake says as he throws the ball forward and sends out a Ditto. When the mon appears, it has a smile on its face as Ash looks at it and speaks.
"So, a Ditto's his first Pokémon" Ash says to himself as Jake speaks.
"Drake has brought out Ditto for his first Pokémon!" Jake says as Don George speaks.
"Ditto is a Pokémon that can transform into any Pokémon it sees it'll be interesting to see which Pokémon Ash will bring out first." Don George says as on the battlefield we see Ditto doing a couple flexes. Over with Ash he looks at Pikachu then speaks.
"Pikachu with your speed an electric attacks you should be able to take down Ditto." Ash says with the yellow mouse nodding as Ash then looks forward and speaks.
"Okay Pikachu, I choose you!" Ash says as Pikachu immediately jumps on the battlefield and looks at Ditto while having a serious look on his face Jake then speaks.
"Ash's first Pokémon is Pikachu!" Jake says as back on the battlefield Drake's Ditto immediately transforms into Pikachu. Up in the stands Cameron speaks.
"Looks like it's going to be a Pikachu vs Pikachu battle" Cameron says as Misty speaks.
"True but Ash's Pikachu will be able to take down Drake's" Misty says with the group nodding as they continue to look at the battlefield. Back on the battlefield the two trainers along with their mons are looking at each other as Wikstrom speaks.
"Now that both trainers have sent out their Pokémon let the battle begin!" Wikstrom says as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" Ash calls. Pikachu quickly jumps in the air, sparks his cheeks and fires out an electric bolt that instantly makes contact with Ditto. Once the electric bolt is gone Pikachu looks over at Ditto who's groaning a little in pain but is overall fine as it looks at Pikachu and smiles as Ash speaks.
"Looks like this isn't going to be easy." Ash says with Pikachu agreeing with him as Drake speaks.
"That Thunderbolt was certainly impressive and now it's our turn. Ditto use Thunderbolt!" Drake calls. His Ditto quickly fires out an electric bolt of its own that heads for Pikachu as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu dodge!" Ash calls. Pikachu quickly moves to the left and easily dodges the electric bolt as Drake speaks.
"Use Extreme Speed then Thunder!" Drake calls. Ditto nods as it shoots forward at blinding speed and hits Pikachu. Ditto then sparks its cheeks and summons a big Thunder from the sky that connects with Pikachu creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu!" Ash calls in worry as out of the explosion appears the yellow mouse who's sent flying and falls on the battlefield a few feet away landing on his back. Pikachu groans in pain but then stands back up and looks over at Ditto. In the stands Tracey speaks.
"Drake knew that Pikachu would dodge the Thunderbolt allowing for him to call for Extreme Speed to have Ditto get close to Pikachu and land a Thunder on him." Tracey says as Rinto speaks.
"That was a good move." Rinto says as everyone else continues to cheer Ash on. Back on the battlefield Ash begins to think.
"It was only just two attacks, but they did a lot of damage to Pikachu and that Thunder shouldn't have been that effective." Ash says to himself as Drake speaks.
"If you're wondering why that Thunder did so much damage it's because I've trained my Ditto to the point where it can match or be stronger than the original Pokémon's moves that it copies. This tactic has allowed for Ditto to defeat an entire trainers team of Pokémon all by itself and it also gave your father a tough time too." Drake says with Ditto having a smug/proud look on its face. Ash nods as he speaks.
"So, that's why" Ash says to himself as Drake continues to speak.
"Now that you know that are you going to switch out your Pokémon?" Drake asks as Ash speaks.
"No, if I switch out my Pokémon the same thing is going to happen so I'm going to keep Pikachu in as he's my best bet in taking down Ditto." Ash says with Pikachu agreeing with him as Drake smiles and speaks.
"I see. In that case show me." Drake says as Ash speaks.
"Don't worry we will!" Ash responds as he goes to call for his next command.
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" Ash calls Pikachu fires out an electric bolt as Drake speaks.
"Counter with your Thunderbolt!" Drake calls. Ditto fires out its own electric bolt that collides with Pikachu's. The 2 attacks go back and forth for a little bit until they explode creating a cloud of smoke. Once that happens Drake speaks.
"Ditto use Extreme Speed!" Drake calls. Ditto shoots forward at blinding speed, it appears out of the smoke and goes to hit Pikachu as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Double Team to dodge then use Nasty Plot!" Ash calls. Before Ditto hits Pikachu the yellow mouse quickly creates multiple clones of himself and dodges the attack. Pikachu then sharply increases his special attack power as Ash speaks.
"Okay Pikachu use Thunder times 5!" Ash calls. Pikachu nods as he sparks his cheeks and fires out 5 large electric bolts that head for Ditto as Drake speaks.
"Ditto use Double Team to dodge then use Extreme Speed and Iron Tail!" Drake calls. When the 5 Thunders go to hit Ditto the mon quickly creates multiple clones of itself allowing for the 5 bolts to hit them instead. Ditto then shoots forward, covers its tail in steel energy and goes to hit Pikachu as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Protect!" Ash calls. Pikachu quickly summons a protective barrier and blocks Ditto's attack. Ditto tries pressing down hard and is cracking the barrier a little bit but the mon is then bounced away. Ditto's now high in the air and sees Pikachu sparking his cheeks as Ash speaks.
"Now use Thunderbolt!" "Ditto use Nasty Plot then counter with Thunder!" Both trainers' call. Pikachu quickly fires an electric bolt while Ditto sharply increases its special attack power and fires a large Thunder. Once the two attacks collide the Thunder easily overpowers the Thunderbolt and heads for Pikachu as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Double Team to dodge then use Extreme Speed!" Ash calls. Pikachu quickly summons multiple clones of himself and dodges the Thunder causing the move to crash on the battlefield instead. Pikachu along with his clones then shoot upward and begin heading for Ditto as Drake speaks.
"Ditto use Protect and hit the real one with Iron Tail!" Drake calls. Ditto quickly summons a protective barrier and blocks Pikachu's attack while his clones disappear. Ditto then covers its tail in steel energy, spins around and slaps Pikachu hard across the face causing damage to him. Pikachu then looks at Ditto and has his left fist ready as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Thunder Punch then Iron Tail!" Ash calls. Pikachu covers his left fist in electricity and punches Ditto hard across the face causing damage. Pikachu then covers his tail in steel energy and slams it hard onto Ditto's head. Just when Ditto's about to be sent falling towards the battlefield the mon grabs Pikachu's tail with its right hand and is sparking its cheeks as Drake speaks.
"Thunder!" Drake calls. Ditto lets out a roar and summons a large electric bolt that comes crashing down on Pikachu. The yellow mouse groans in pain as Drake speaks.
"Now throw Pikachu away then use Thunder again!" Drake calls. Ditto nods and quickly throws Pikachu away. Before Ash can call for a command Ditto fires out a large Thunder that connects with Pikachu and sends the mon crashing down on the battlefield creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu!" Ash calls in worry. When the smoke clears everyone can see Pikachu lying on his back groaning in pain as Drake speaks.
"Ditto use Extreme Speed and Iron Tail!" Drake calls with Ditto nodding as it shoots downward at blinding speed, covers its tail in steel energy and goes to hit Pikachu as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Surf!" Ash calls. Just when Ditto's about to hit Pikachu the yellow mouse gains a blue outline and roars summoning a large wave of water that consumes Ditto before it could hit Pikachu. Inside the wave of water, we see Ditto groaning in pain as Drake speaks.
"Ditto break out of there with Thunder!" Drake calls. Inside the Surf Ditto continues to struggle but then sparks its cheeks and fires out a big Thunder that easily destroys the move freeing Ditto in the process. Ditto's now standing on the battlefield panting heavily then looks over at Pikachu who's up in the air as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Nasty Plot then Thunder times 5!" Ash calls. Pikachu sharply raises his special attack power again, sparks his cheeks and lets out a loud "Pika!" sending out 5 large electric bolts that head for Ditto as Drake speaks.
"Ditto use Nasty Plot then use Thunder times 5 too!" Drake calls with Ditto nodding as it also sharply increases its special attack power then fires out 5 large Thunders that connect with Pikachu's. Ash along with Pikachu have surprised looks on their faces as Drake speaks.
"As you can see anything your Pikachu can do my Ditto can too and will do it better." Drake says while having a confident look on his face as Ditto's Thunders begin to slowly push Pikachu's back. Over with Ash he has a smirk on his face then speaks.
"I'll admit it's impressive that your Ditto can copy Pikachu's attacks, but we now got Ditto where we want it." Ash says while making Drake confused as Ash calls for his next command.
"Pikachu summon a 6th, Thunder!" Ash calls. "What?!" Drake says in surprise as over with Pikachu he summons a 6th Thunder that shoots forward and begins shocking Ditto. Ditto begins to cry out in pain and is starting to lose concentration as Drake speaks.
"Ditto get out of there!" "Do it Pikachu!" Both trainers' call. Before Ditto can dodge Pikachu's 5 Thunders manage to destroy Ditto's and join the 6th Thunder in shocking Ditto. Ditto cries out in pain until there's an explosion as Drake speaks.
"Ditto!" Drake calls in worry as when the smoke clears Ditto's still standing but is groaning in pain. We then see Pikachu land back on the battlefield and look over at Ditto as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu quick use Wild Charge and boost yourself with Extreme Speed!" Ash calls. Pikachu nods as he covers his body in electricity and shoots forward boosting his speed with Wild Charge. Pikachu then manages to hit Ditto causing damage to the mon while Pikachu takes recoil damage. Ditto groans in pain then looks at Pikachu as Drake speaks.
"Ditto use Thunder!" "Pikachu quick use Iron Tail!" Both trainers' call. When Ditto's about to fire the electric bolt Pikachu quickly covers his tail in steel energy, spins around and slams it hard into Ditto's stomach. Ditto coughs in pain as it's then sent flying and crashes back on the battlefield a few feet away creating a dust cloud. Drake then speaks.
"Ditto!" Drake calls in worry as when the dust clears everyone can see Ditto lying on its back groaning in pain. The mon tries standing back up, but it ultimately stays down and goes back into its original form. Everyone can see that the mon is knocked out as Wikstrom makes the call.
"Ditto's unable to battle Pikachu's the winner!" Wikstrom calls allowing for Ash and Pikachu to cheer as Jake speaks.
"Ash's Pikachu has defeated Drake's Ditto!" Jake says allowing for the crowd to cheer. Back at Oak's ranch Delia, Mr. Mime, Oak, Daisy, Rose, and Ash's Pokémon cheer too with Raichu and Luxray cheering the loudest. Back at the stadium we see Ash's friends cheer too as Misty, Leaf, and Nemona speak.
"They did it!" The 3 girls say happily while Togetic, Poliwag, Hau, Cameron, and Barry cheer with them. Rinto then speaks.
"Ash made a good choice in not revealing that his Pikachu can summon 6 Thunders otherwise Drake's Ditto would've copied it." Rinto says as Tracey nods and speaks.
"Yep, and if that happened, I don't know if Pikachu would've been able to win." Tracey says with Rinto agreeing with him as they along with the others continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Drake returns his Ditto back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. He then puts the ball away, looks over at Ash and speaks.
"I wasn't expecting your Pikachu to summon a 6th, Thunder." Drake says as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, I kept it hidden as I knew that if Ditto saw it, it would've easily copied it. So, I had to wait until they both clashed with their Thunders to reveal it." Ash responds with Drake nodding as he speaks.
"I must say that was smart thinking on your part and now I wonder how you'll deal with this one." Drake says as he pulls out his next Pokeball and goes to throw it.
"Steelix come out!" Drake says as he throws the ball forward and sends in a Steelix. Once the mon appears it lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave that almost blows Ash along with Pikachu back but they stand their ground. Then once Steelix is done roaring it looks forward and has a serious look on its face as Jake speaks.
"Drake's next Pokémon is his Steelix!" Jake says as Don George speaks.
"By just looking at it you can tell that it's strong." Don George says as back on the battlefield Ash looks at Steelix then looks over at Pikachu who's still groaning in pain and begins to think.
"Looks like that battle with Ditto took a lot out of Pikachu I should switch him out for now." Ash says to himself as he speaks.
"Pikachu return" Ash says with the yellow mouse nodding as he runs over to Ash. Once Pikachu makes it over to the boy Ash bends down getting on Pikachu's level and speaks.
"You're not only at a type disadvantage but also took a lot of damage from Ditto so I'm returning you for now as I'll need you to rest up because I might need you for later." Ash says with Pikachu nodding as he goes to stand next to Ash. Ash then stands back up he looks at Steelix and begins to think.
"This Steelix looks strong I could send in either Charizard, Lucario, or Snorlax but I might need them for Drake's other Pokémon later. So, that leaves me with you." Ash says to himself while looking at his next Pokeball as he then looks forward and goes to throw it.
"Greninja, I choose you!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends out Greninja. Once Greninja appears he's standing, has his arms crossed and his eyes closed. Once Greninja opens his eyes he looks at Steelix with the mon looking at him Jake then speaks.
"Ash's next Pokémon is a Greninja!" Jake says as back in the stands Misty speaks.
"It's now Greninja's turn" Misty says as Barry speaks.
"I'm surprised that Ash isn't using a fire or fighting type." Barry says as Tracey speaks.
"I'm guessing that Ash is probably thinking of saving those for Drake's other Pokémon" Tracey says with Barry nodding. Back on the battlefield Drake looks at Greninja and speaks.
"A Greninja's your next Pokémon interesting." Drake says as Ash speaks.
"Yep, and he's going to take down your Steelix!" Ash says with Greninja agreeing with him making Drake smirk. After that Greninja along with Steelix get into battle stances. Wikstrom calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.
"Greninja use Water Shuriken!" Ash calls. Greninja summons two Water Shuriken's from his hands and throws them at Steelix as Drake speaks.
"Steelix blow them away with Flash Cannon!" Drake calls. Steelix covers its mouth in steel energy and fires out a steel beam that easily destroys the shuriken's and heads for Greninja as Ash speaks.
"Greninja dodge!" Ash calls. Greninja quickly jumps to the left and dodges Steelix's attack. Once Greninja lands Steelix suddenly appears in front of him as Drake speaks.
"Steelix use Thunder Fang!" "Greninja back away then use Hydro Pump!" Both trainers' call. Steelix covers its teeth in electricity and goes to bite Greninja. Greninja quickly jumps back causing Steelix to bite the battlefield instead. Once Greninja lands he points his right hand forward and out of it appears a big stream of water that heads for Steelix as Drake speaks.
"Steelix use Dig!" Drake calls. Steelix nods as it quickly digs underground and dodges the Hydro Pump. Over with Greninja he can feel Steelix moving underground as Ash speaks.
"Greninja jump!" Ash calls. Greninja quickly jumps in the air and when he does Steelix appears and has its teeth ready as Drake speaks.
"Use Thunder Fang!" Drake calls. Steelix covers its teeth in electricity and goes to bite Greninja as Ash speaks.
"Dodge with Double Team!" Ash calls. Greninja quickly creates multiple copies of himself and dodges Steelix's attack causing the mon to bite a clone instead as Ash speaks.
"Now use Water Shuriken!" Ash calls. Greninja along with his clones' fire multiple Water Shuriken's at Steelix as Drake speaks.
"Deflect them with Gyro Ball then use Flash Cannon!" Drake calls. Steelix glows in steel energy and spins easily deflecting all of the shuriken's. Then once the shuriken's are gone Steelix fires out a large steel beam that destroys all of Greninja's clones and heads for the real one as Ash speaks.
"Greninja dodge and use Liquidation!" Ash calls. Greninja nods as he moves to the left and narrowly avoids the Flash Cannon. Greninja heads for Steelix and summons two water blades from his hands. Greninja then begins to spin and is spinning down Steelix cutting the mon and causing damage in the process. Greninja then safely lands back down on the battlefield, over with Steelix it groans in pain then looks at Greninja as Drake speaks.
"Steelix use Autotomize then Iron Tail!" Drake calls. Steelix roars as it shines brightly and sheds off its skin to increase its speed. Steelix then covers its tail in steel energy and hits Greninja hard in the stomach before Ash can call for a command. Greninja coughs in pain and is sent flying landing on the battlefield a few feet away and creating a dust cloud as Ash speaks.
"Greninja!" Ash calls in worry as when the dust clears it showcases Greninja lying on his back groaning in pain and can feel that his physical defense has decreased but he then stands back up. Drake calls for his next command.
"Flash Cannon!" Drake calls Steelix fires out a steel beam that heads for Greninja as Ash speaks.
"Dodge and use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls. Greninja quickly jumps to the right and dodges the move. Greninja then points his right hand forward and sends out a large stream of water that heads for Steelix as Drake speaks.
"Use Thunder Fang then Heavy Slam!" Drake calls. Steelix covers its teeth in electricity and bites down on the Hydro Pump easily destroying it. Steelix's body glows in steel energy and jumps forward going to hit Greninja as Ash speaks.
"Double Team Greninja!" Ash calls. Greninja quickly creates multiple clones of himself and dodges Steelix's attack causing the mon to hit the battlefield instead. Steelix then looks towards its left and sees Greninja in the air forming water into his right hand as Ash speaks.
"Hydro Pump!" Ash calls. Before Drake can call for a command Greninja points his right hand forward and sends out a large stream of water that makes contact with Steelix and begins to damage the mon as Ash speaks.
"Yes!" Ash says excitedly as Drake speaks.
"Iron Tail!" Drake calls. Steelix's tail glows in steel energy and goes to hit Greninja as Ash speaks.
"Greninja block!" Ash calls. Greninja quickly brings up his arms and blocks Steelix's attack. Greninja's sent flying a few feet away and lands back on the battlefield creating a dust cloud. When the dust clears Greninja's seen laying on his back but then stands back up as he looks at Steelix staring back at him Ash then speaks.
"Did that Hydro Pump not do anything?" Ash asks as Drake speaks.
"Oh, it did but as you can see it didn't do a lot to Steelix." Drake says as in the stands Tracey speaks.
"I'm surprised that Greninja's Hydro Pump didn't do that much damage." Tracey says as Rinto speaks.
"Usually, a water type move would do a lot of damage to Steelix but I'm guessing that Drake's has grown some resistance to water type moves." Rinto says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Drake looks over at Ash and speaks.
"So, what's your next move?" Drake asks as Ash begins to think.
"I wasn't expecting his Steelix to have a big resistance to water type moves and that one Iron Tail did a lot of damage to Greninja. If I keep him in, he'll most likely faint." Ash says to himself as he pulls out Greninja's Pokeball and speaks.
"Greninja return!" Ash says with the mon nodding as he goes back into his Pokeball Drake speaks.
"So, you decided to return your Greninja." Drake says as Ash speaks.
"Yep, I want to keep him in but if I do, he'll probably faint so I feel as though I should switch him out for now and bring in another Pokémon." Ash responds with Drake nodding as Ash pulls out another Pokeball and speaks.
"Lucario, I choose you!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends in Lucario. Once Lucario appears she has a serious look on her face and looks at Steelix with the mon looking at her. Up in the stands Hau speaks.
"Lucario's Ash's next Pokémon." Hau says as Tracey speaks.
"This is good as Lucario has a good chance of taking down Steelix." Tracey says with the group nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Lucario and speaks.
"Lucario even though you have the type advantage this Steelix is strong so be careful" Ash says with the mon nodding as she along with Steelix get into battle stances. Wikstrom calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.
"Aura Sphere!" Ash calls. Lucario quickly puts her hands together and shoots out a blue ball of fighting energy that heads for Steelix as Drake speaks.
"Knock it away with your tail then use Earth Power!" Drake calls. Steelix easily knocks the Aura Sphere away with its tail then slams its tail hard on the battlefield creating a large crack that heads for Lucario as Ash speaks.
"Lucario jump in the air to dodge!" Ash calls. Lucario nods and quickly jumps in the air avoiding Steelix's attack. Once she's in the air Steelix suddenly appears in front of her as Drake speaks.
"Use Fire Fang!" "Lucario Aura Sphere!" Both trainers' call. Steelix covers its teeth in fire and goes to bite Lucario, but the blue dog quickly shoots out an Aura Sphere that hits Steelix hard in the face causing super effective damage. Steelix then looks at Lucario as Drake speaks.
"Grab it with your tail!" Drake calls. Steelix quickly shoots its tail forward and has it wrap around Lucario. Drake then speaks.
"Now use Bind!" Drake calls. Steelix nods as it begins to squeeze Lucario making the mon groan in pain as Ash speaks.
"Lucario break out of there with Double Team!" "Steelix use Gyro Ball!" Both trainers' call. When Lucario's about to use Double Team Steelix glows in steel energy and begins to spin fast, making Lucario stop. As Steelix continues to spin Lucario's groaning in pain as Drake speaks.
"Steelix throw Lucario and use High Horsepower!" Drake calls. Steelix nods as it stops spinning and throws Lucario. Steelix's tail gains an orange outline and goes to hit Lucario as Ash speaks.
"Lucario use Aura Sphere!" Ash calls but was too late as Steelix slams its tail hard onto Lucario's head and sends the mon crashing back on the battlefield creating a dust cloud as Ash speaks.
"Lucario!" Ash calls in worry as when the dust clears Lucario's laying on her stomach groaning in pain as Ash speaks.
"Lucario are you okay?!" Ash asks with the mon nodding as she stands back up and looks at Steelix. Drake then speaks.
"I must say your Lucario's certainly has a lot of endurance, but it seems like it's not going to last long." Drake says as Ash begins to think.
"I hate to say this but he's right because if Lucario gets hit again she's going to faint." Ash says to himself as he's about to return her Lucario roars back at Ash surprising the boy as he speaks.
"Lucario, are you saying that you want to continue?" Ash asks with Lucario nodding as she gives Ash a look telling him that she's going to win. Ash looks at Lucario and nods as he speaks.
"Okay Lucario I'll trust you. Let's do this!" Ash says with Lucario nodding as she looks back at Steelix and gets in a battle stance. Drake then speaks.
"So, you're deciding to keep in your Lucario I wonder how well that'll work for you." Drake says as he then gets a serious look on his face and speaks.
"Steelix use Earth Power!" Drake calls. Steelix lets out a roar and slams its tail hard on the battlefield creating a large crack that heads for Lucario as Ash speaks.
"Dodge Lucario!" Ash calls. Lucario quickly moves to the right and dodges the move as Drake speaks.
"Heavy Slam!" Drake calls. Steelix glows in steel energy and jumps forward going to hit Lucario as Ash speaks.
"Lucario jump in the air to dodge!" Ash calls. Lucario quickly jumps in the air dodging Steelix's attack and causing the mon to hit the battlefield instead. Steelix then looks at the air born Lucario as Drake speaks.
"Steelix grab Lucario with your tail!" "Lucario dodge and run on Steelix's tail!" Both trainers' call. Steelix shoots its tail forward going to grab Lucario, but the aura dog manages to dodge the attack and lands on Steelix's tail. Lucario then begins to run up Steelix's tail as Jake speaks.
"Lucario has landed on Steelix's tail and is running up it what could Ash be thinking?!" Jake says as back on the battlefield we see Lucario continue to run up Steelix's tail as Steelix looks at the mon as Drake speaks.
"Use Gyro Ball!" "Lucario Flash Cannon!" Both trainers' call. When Steelix's about to spin Lucario points both of her hands forward and fires out a steel beam that hits Steelix hard in the face creating an explosion. Steelix then shakes its head, it can feel that its special defense has decreased and looks at Lucario as Drake speaks.
"Use Flash Cannon!" "Counter with Aura Sphere!" Both trainers' call. Steelix roars and fires out a steel beam while Lucario shoots out a blue ball of fighting energy. When the two attacks connect, they go back and forth for a little bit. Suddenly the Flash Cannon begins to slowly push the Aura Sphere back but Lucario roars increasing more power of her Aura Sphere causing it to go through the Flash Cannon and hit Steelix hard in the face. Once the Aura Sphere connects there's an explosion, Steelix groans in pain from the super effective hit as Ash speaks.
"Good job Lucario! Now use Power-Up Punch!" Ash calls. Lucario quickly jumps forward, covers her left fist in orange fighting energy and punches Steelix hard in the face causing more damage to the mon and gaining a physical attack increase. Steelix groans in pain but then gets its tail ready as Drake speaks.
"Use High Horsepower!" "Lucario block!" Both trainers' call. Steelix's tail gains an orange outline and goes to hit Lucario, but the aura dog quickly brings up her arms blocking the attack. Lucario's then sent towards the battlefield and manages to land on her feet. Lucario looks at Steelix and puts her hands together as Ash speaks.
"Use Aura Sphere!" Ash calls. Lucario creates a blue ball of fighting energy and shoots it at Steelix as Drake speaks.
"Steelix use Dig!" Drake calls. Steelix quickly digs underground and dodges the Aura Sphere. Lucario can feel Steelix moving underneath the ground as Ash speaks.
"Lucario back away!" Ash calls. Lucario quickly jumps back as Steelix bursts from the ground missing its hit. Steelix then sees Lucario land a few feet away as Drake speaks.
"Use Drill Run!" Drake calls. Steelix lets out a roar as it becomes a drill and shoots forward heading for Lucario as Ash speaks.
"Lucario stop Steelix!" Ash calls with Lucario nodding and ready's herself by bringing up her arms. A couple seconds later Steelix connects with Lucario and begins trying to knock her arms away but Lucario's standing strong. As Lucario continues to block Steelix begins to spin faster and faster, making it harder for Lucario as Drake speaks.
"That's it Steelix just a little more and you'll break through Lucario's defenses!" Drake says with Steelix nodding as it spins faster, and faster Ash speaks.
"Lucario hang in there just a little bit longer!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu say with Lucario nodding as she continues to block Steelix's attack but is having a hard time. Lucario can feel that her arms aren't going to hold any longer and a couple seconds later Steelix manages to break through Lucario's arms. Everyone watches on seeing Steelix about to hit Lucario as Ash smiles and speaks.
"Lucario Double Team!" Ash calls. Lucario nods as she quickly creates multiple clones of herself and dodges Steelix's attack. Drake along with Steelix have surprised looks on their faces as Steelix stops itself. Steelix then looks in the air and sees what looks like Lucario forming an Aura Sphere as Drake speaks.
"Steelix use Dig to dodge!" Drake calls and when Steelix is about to dig underground Ash speaks.
"Oh no you don't! Lucario use Metal Sound!" Ash calls. Lucario lets out a loud roar and sends out a scraping metal sound that makes contact with Steelix causing the mon to stop surprising Drake. Up in the stands Cameron speaks.
"I didn't know that Ash's Lucario had Metal Sound" Cameron says as Tracey speaks.
"That's because he just taught it to Lucario last night while training." Tracey says with Cameron nodding. Back on the battlefield Steelix roars in pain and can feel that its special defense power has decreased as Ash speaks.
"Good job Lucario now use Flash Cannon!" Ash calls with Lucario nodding as she points both of her hands forward and sends out a steel beam that heads for Steelix as Drake speaks.
"Get rid of it with Fire Fang!" Drake calls. Steelix quickly covers its teeth in fire and bites down on the Flash Cannon easily destroying it. After getting rid of the steel beam Ash speaks.
"Aura Sphere!" Ash calls. Lucario quickly fires out a blue ball of fighting energy that hits Steelix hard in the face creating an explosion and causing super effective damage. Steelix groans in pain from the attack and looks at Lucario as Ash speaks.
"So, that didn't finish it off. Lucario head for Steelix!" Ash calls with Lucario nodding as she begins falling towards Steelix Drake speaks.
"Use Flash Cannon!" Drake calls. Steelix roars and sends out a large steel beam that heads for Lucario as Ash speaks.
"Lucario dodge with Double Team and continue heading for Steelix!" Ash calls. Lucario nods as she quickly creates multiple clones of herself, allowing for her to dodge the beam as it hits her clones instead. Lucario continues heading for Steelix and is getting closer as Drake speaks.
"Steelix use Fire Fang!" "Lucario use Power-Up Punch!" Both trainers' call. Before Steelix can use Fire Fang Lucario quickly covers her right fist in orange fighting energy, roars, and punches Steelix hard in the face causing super effective damage. Lucario pushes Steelix back onto the battlefield creating a dust cloud as Drake speaks.
"Steelix!" Drake calls in worry as out of the dust cloud appears Lucario who jumps back and safely lands a few feet away. Lucario then looks forward waiting for the results and when the dust cloud clears everyone can see Steelix laying on its right side knocked out. Wikstrom makes the call.
"Steelix is unable to battle Lucario's the winner!" Wikstrom calls allowing for Ash, Pikachu and Lucario to cheer. Back at Oak's ranch Delia, Mr. Mime, Oak, Daisy, Rose, and Ash's Pokémon cheer too with the fighting and steel types cheering the loudest. Back at the stadium Ash's friends cheer too as Misty speaks.
"Lucario did it!" Misty cheers along with Leaf, Nemona, Togetic, Hau and Cameron as Barry speaks.
"Man for a second there I thought that Ash's Lucario was a goner." Barry says as Rinto speaks.
"So did I but Ash had a good idea by drawing in Steelix closer so Lucario could use Double Team to dodge Steelix's Drill Run and use Metal Sound lowering Steelix's special defense." Rinto says as Tracey speaks.
"Then after learning that the Aura Sphere wasn't enough, he had Lucario get in close and land a Power-Up Punch on Steelix as that was the finishing blow." Tracey says with the others nodding. Back on the battlefield Drake returns Steelix back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Then once he puts the ball away, he looks over at Ash who's looking at Lucario and speaks.
"Great job Lucario I knew you could do it!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu say with Lucario nodding as she then begins to groan in pain. Just when Ash's about to ask Lucario if she's okay Drake speaks.
"Venusaur, you're next!" Drake says as he throws the ball forward and sends out a Venusaur. When the mon appears it lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave showcasing its power. Then once Venusaur's done roaring it looks at Lucario and has a serious look on its face as Jake speaks.
"Drake's next Pokémon is his Venusaur who has proven to be a difficult opponent for many trainers to beat in the past!" Jake says as back on the battlefield Ash looks at Venusaur and begins to think.
"That Venusaur I can feel that it's really strong and is probably stronger than mine along with Leaf's." Ash says to himself as he looks over at Lucario who's still groaning in pain and continues to think.
"Lucario suffered a lot of damage from Steelix I should return her." Ash says to himself as he pulls out Lucario's Pokeball and speaks.
"Lucario return!" Ash says with Lucario nodding as she goes back in her Pokeball. Once she does, Ash puts the ball away as Drake speaks.
"That was a wise choice on your part as your Lucario wouldn't have stood a chance against Venusaur." Drake says as Ash looks at him and speaks.
"That may be true, but I know that my next one can" Ash says while holding another Pokeball in his hand as he goes to throw it.
"Charizard, I choose you!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends in Charizard. Once Charizard appears he lets out a mighty roar creating a shockwave of his own. Then once Charizard's done roaring he looks over at Venusaur as Don George speaks.
"To combat Drake's Venusaur Ash has brought in a Charizard!" Don George says as over with the group Misty speaks.
"Nice with Charizard here he'll be able to take down Venusaur." Misty says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Drake looks at Ash's Charizard and speaks.
"Your Charizard looks strong it kind of reminds me of your fathers when I faced it as it was the one who took out Venusaur before." Drake says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Happy to hear that because my Charizard's going to do the same!" Ash says with Charizard roaring in agreement as Drake smiles and speaks.
"I wonder about that." Drake says while having a smile on his face as Venusaur along with Charizard then get into battle stances. Wikstrom calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.
"Let's go Charizard! Use Flamethrower!" Ash calls. Charizard lets out a roar and fires a big stream of fire from his mouth that heads for Venusaur as Drake speaks.
"Use Protect!" Drake calls. Venusaur quickly summons a protective barrier and blocks Charizard's attack as Ash speaks.
"Charizard use Air Slash!" Ash calls. Charizard's wings glow blue and flaps them forward sending out multiple slashes of wind towards Venusaur as Drake speaks.
"Use Sludge Bomb!" Drake calls. Venusaur fires out multiple bombs of sludge from its mouth that collide with the slashes of wind creating an explosion. Then when the explosion clears Drake along with Venusaur look forward and don't see Charizard. The two of them have confused looks on their faces as Drake then sees a hole in the battlefield and is about to call for a command as Ash speaks.
"Charizard use Overheat!" Ash calls as out from underneath Venusaur appears a large wave of fire that consumes the mon causing super effective damage and creating an explosion. Out from the ground appears Charizard who lands on the battlefield and looks forward to see the results. Then when the smoke clears it showcases Venusaur groaning in pain as Ash speaks.
"Yes, looks like that plan worked" Ash says as Drake speaks.
"After the Sludge Bomb and Air Slash collided you had your Charizard use Dig. Then as we were looking for Charizard you took that opportunity to use Overheat, which you know is at its strongest when used for the first time." Drake says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yeah, in order to land a good amount of damage on Venusaur I knew that I needed to use Overheat so I quickly came up with a plan in order for Charizard to land it and I'm happy that it worked." Ash responds with Charizard agreeing with him as Drake smiles and speaks.
"I see well in that case I guess it's time for Venusaur to power up." Drake says making Ash confused as Drake pulls out a keystone from his right pocket. Ash looks at it and speaks.
"Is that a Keystone?" Ash asks with Drake nodding as he speaks.
"Yes, and now it's time to use it. Venusaur, Mega Evolve!" Drake says as the Keystone in his hand and the mega stone hidden inside Venusaur's flower glow sending out beams of light. Once the beams connect Venusaur lets out a roar as it glows and begins to change. Once Venusaur's done glowing what was once a regular Venusaur is now a Mega Venusaur. Venusaur lets out a loud roar creating a large shockwave that tries to push Ash along with Pikachu and Charizard back, but they stand their ground. Then once Venusaur's done roaring it looks at Charizard having a serious look on its face. Over with Ash he along with Pikachu and Charizard have surprised looks on their faces as Jake speaks.
"Drake has Mega Evolved his Venusaur!" Jake says as the crowd have surprised looks on their faces. Over with the group they're surprised too as Barry speaks.
"He mega evolved his Venusaur?!" Barry says as Rinto speaks.
"I didn't know that he could mega evolve his Pokémon." Rinto says as Nemona speaks.
"He probably sees Ash as a worthy opponent and decided to mega evolve his Venusaur." Nemona says with the group nodding as Tracey speaks.
"But now that Venusaur's mega evolved this just got a lot harder for Charizard." Tracey says as Cameron speaks.
"What do you mean?" Cameron asks as Leaf speaks.
"It's because of Venusaur's ability Thick Fat which halves the damage taken by fire and ice type moves." Leaf says with Cameron nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash along with Pikachu and Charizard still have surprised looks on their faces as Drake speaks.
"I can tell by the looks on your faces that you weren't expecting this now were you" Drake says as Ash speaks.
"You're right I wasn't. What made you decide to use it?" Ash asks as Drake speaks.
"Well seeing as you've made it to the finals to challenge me and have proven to be a powerful trainer, I feel it's only right for me to use this against you." Drake responds with Ash nodding as Ash speaks.
"Say did you mega evolve your Venusaur in your battle against my dad?" Ash asks as Drake speaks.
"No as I didn't have access to mega evolution at the time and also, you're the second trainer that I've mega evolved Venusaur against." Drake responds with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Really? Who was the first?" Ash asks as Drake speaks.
"It was against a trainer that I battled 8 years ago if you manage to beat me, I'll tell you who they are." Drake says with Ash nodding as he smiles and speaks.
"Sounds good to us and we're going to win! Right Charizard?!" Ash says with Charizard roaring in agreement as Drake smiles and speaks.
"I like that you're still confident about winning I think it's time we show you just how far away from that goal you are." Drake says with Venusaur agreeing with him as it along with Charizard get into battle stances. The two mons along with their trainers look at each other in silence until a gentle wind breeze goes by, Drake speaks.
"Use Sludge Bomb!" Drake calls. Venusaur shoots out multiple bombs of poison out of its mouth that head for Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Charizard dodge then use Flamethrower!" Ash calls. Charizard quickly flies in the air and dodges the poison bombs of sludge. After that Charizard covers his mouth in fire and shoots out a stream of fire that heads for Venusaur as Drake speaks.
"Take the hit Venusaur" Drake says with the mon nodding as the flames connect with Venusaur. Once the Flamethrower goes away Venusaur has some burn marks on it but is overall fine as Ash speaks.
"That's right Venusaur's ability upon mega evolving is Thick Fat which halves the damage it takes from fire/ice type moves. Well, it's a good thing that Charizard doesn't just have fire type attacks." Ash says to himself as he calls for his next command.
"Charizard use Air Slash!" Ash calls. Charizard's wings glow and flaps them forward sending out multiple slashes of wind that head for Venusaur as Drake speaks.
"Get rid of them with Power Whip!" Drake calls. Venusaur summons multiple green vines that easily get rid of the slashes of wind as Ash speaks.
"Charizard use Dragon Pulse!" Ash calls. Charizard covers his mouth in purple draconic energy and fires out a big purple dragon beam that heads for Venusaur as Drake speaks.
"Counter with Leaf Storm!" Drake calls. Venusaur roars as it summons a big storm of leaves that collides with the Dragon Pulse creating an explosion. Out of the explosion appears Charizard who's in front of Venusaur and has his wings ready as Ash speaks.
"Use Air Slash!" "Venusaur use Protect then grab Charizard with Power Whip!" Both trainers' call. When Charizard fires the slashes of wind Venusaur quickly summons a protective barrier blocking the attack. Venusaur then summons multiple green vines that go to grab Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Charizard dodge!" Ash calls. Charizard quickly flies in the air dodging the vines as Drake speaks.
"Have your vines go after Charizard!" Drake calls with Venusaur nodding as it has its vines go after the fire lizard Ash speaks.
"Charizard keep dodging and use Flamethrower!" Ash calls. Charizard nods as when the vines are about to grab him Charizard turns around and fires out a stream of fire from his mouth getting rid of the vines. Charizard sees a few more vines coming and dodges those too. Everyone in the crowd continues to watch Charizard fly and burn away the vines with Flamethrower. As that keeps going Drake speaks.
"Since this isn't working guess it's time to change things up." Drake says to himself as he calls for his next command.
"Venusaur use Frenzy Plant!" Drake calls surprising Ash as Venusaur lets out a roar and summons multiple large vines that head for Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Charizard dodge and use Flamethrower!" Ash calls. Charizard nods as he manages to narrowly avoid the vines and fires out a stream of fire from his mouth that makes contact. When that happens, the vines continue going after Charizard surprising him along with Ash. Back in the stands Barry speaks.
"Wait how come Charizard's Flamethrower didn't work?" Barry asks as Rinto speaks.
"Seeing as Charizard used Overheat earlier its special attack power has decreased." Rinto says as Tracey speaks.
"Also, since Venusaur mega evolved its attack power has grown stronger too meaning that it'll take more than a regular Flamethrower to burn the vines away." Tracey says as Misty speaks.
"In that case Ash's Charizard does have a move that can help with that." Misty says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Charizard continues flying through the air doing his best to dodge the vines but is having a hard time as Venusaur's increasing the amount. Back on the battlefield Ash's thinking.
"After using Overheat Charizard's special attack power has decreased meaning that Flamethrower isn't able to burn through the Frenzy Plant. But I have a feeling that even if I didn't have Charizard use Overheat Flamethrower still wouldn't have been able to work. This means that I need to have Charizard use Inferno." Ash says to himself as he looks up in the air and sees Charizard continuing to avoid the vines Drake speaks.
"Your Charizard's evasiveness is very impressive, but it won't be able to dodge for long. Venusaur increase the amount of vines!" Drake calls with Venusaur nodding as it summons more vines that go after Charizard and making it more difficult for the fire lizard to dodge. As Charizard continues to dodge he then sees that the vines now have him surrounded as Drake speaks.
"Venusaur hit Charizard now!" Drake calls with Venusaur roaring as it sends all the vines at Charizard going to hit the mon as Ash speaks.
"Charizard use Sunny Day then Inferno!" Ash calls with Charizard nodding as he roars to the sky summoning a harsh sun. Charizard can feel that his fire power is growing and lets out a loud roar summoning a large Inferno. The Inferno easily burns through the vines and heads for Venusaur as Drake speaks.
"Venusaur use Protect!" Drake calls with Venusaur nodding as it quickly summons a protective barrier and begins to block Charizard's attack. As Venusaur continues to block it notices that its barrier is starting to crack as Ash speaks.
"Charizard just a little bit more!" Ash calls. Up in the air Charizard continues to roar increasing the power of his Inferno as it manages to crack Venusaur's barrier more and more until it eventually destroys it. Drake along with Venusaur have surprised looks on their faces as the Inferno connects with Venusaur creating an explosion. Drake then speaks.
"Venusaur!" Drake calls in worry as when the smoke clears everyone can see Venusaur groaning in pain as it also has burn marks on its body Ash speaks.
"Looks like that wasn't enough to defeat Venusaur but it seems like we did a lot of damage to it. Okay Charizard use Inferno again!" Ash calls with Charizard nodding as when he goes to use the move Drake speaks.
"Venusaur use Poison Jab!" Drake calls as out from underneath the ground appear two vines that are covered in poison that head for Charizard and jab him in his stomach. Charizard coughs in pain as Drake speaks.
"Now use Solar Beam!" Drake calls. Venusaur roars and fires out a big grassy beam that heads for Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Charizard blow it away with Inferno!" "Venusaur use Poison Jab again!" Both trainers' call. Before Charizard can use Inferno again Venusaur jabs Charizard with its poisoned vines again making the mon stop and allowing the Solar Beam to hit him. Once the beam makes contact with Charizard there's an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Charizard!" Ash calls in worry as out of the smoke appears Charizard who falls back on the battlefield landing on his stomach. Charizard's groaning in pain as Drake speaks.
"Venusaur use Toxic!" Drake calls with Venusaur nodding as it spits out a toxic blob that goes to make contact with Charizard Ash quickly pulls out the mons Pokeball and speaks.
"Charizard return!" Ash says and quickly returns Charizard back to his Pokeball, allowing for the toxic blob to miss. Up in the stands Cameron speaks.
"Man, that was close." Cameron says as Tracey speaks.
"Yeah, because if that Toxic landed it would cause damage to Charizard over time and possibly knock him out, so Ash made the right call in returning Charizard." Tracey says with the group nodding as back on the battlefield Drake speaks.
"That was quick thinking on your part for returning Charizard. So, who're you going to send in next?" Drake asks as over with Ash he's thinking.
"I could send Lucario back in as she's immune to poison type moves but she's still not only injured from her battle with Steelix but also has no way to deal with Venusaur's vines. Pikachu along with Greninja are out of the question too and I want to save Dragonite for later meaning that it's up to you." Ash says to himself while looking at his next Pokeball as he goes to throw it.
"Snorlax, I choose you!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends in Snorlax. Once the mon appears he's awake and has a serious look on his face as he looks over at Venusaur Jake speaks.
"Ash's next Pokémon is a Snorlax! Will it be able to take down Drake's Mega Venusaur?!" Jake says as in the stands Misty speaks.
"So, Ash brought out Snorlax next." Misty says as Tracey speaks.
"I'm guessing that Ash's hoping with Snorlax's power he'll be able to beat Venusaur." Tracey says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Drake looks at Ash's Snorlax and speaks.
"So, a Snorlax's your next Pokémon it looks strong." Drake says as Ash speaks.
"Thanks, and he's going to take down your Venusaur!" Ash says with Snorlax agreeing with him while Drake smirks. After that the two mons get into battle stances, Wikstrom calls for the battle to continue as Drake speaks.
"Venusaur use Solar Beam!" Drake calls. Venusaur instantly fires out a big grassy beam that heads for Snorlax as Ash speaks.
"Snorlax counter with Ice Punch!" Ash calls. Snorlax covers his right fist in ice and connects with the beam. The beam tries to push Snorlax back but after a while Snorlax manages to destroy the attack. Once that happens Drake's impressed that Snorlax managed to do that and calls for his next command.
"Venusaur use Frenzy Plant!" Drake calls. Venusaur roars and summons multiple large vines that head for Snorlax as Ash speaks.
"Snorlax knock them away with Brutal Swing then use Work Up and Hyper Beam!" Ash calls. Snorlax nods as he covers both of his hands in dark energy, spins around and easily knocks the vines away. Snorlax stops spinning and lets out a mighty roar increasing his physical/special attack power. Snorlax then fires out a large orange beam that's easily going through the vines and heads for Venusaur as Drake speaks.
"Block with Frenzy Plant!" Drake calls. Venusaur quickly makes a protective wall with its vines as the Hyper Beam makes contact. Once that happens the Hyper Beam begins to slowly go through the vine barrier until it then explodes. When the smoke is gone Venusaur looks at Snorlax as Drake speaks.
"Use Frenzy Plant!" Drake calls with Venusaur nodding as it sends out two large vines that head for Snorlax as Ash speaks.
"Snorlax grab them!" Ash calls. Snorlax nods and manages to grab the vines with his hands. Drake along with Venusaur are surprised as Drake quickly recomposes himself and speaks.
"Venusaur use Solar Beam!" "Snorlax use Brutal Swing!" Both trainers' call. Just when Venusaur's about to fire the beam Snorlax's hands glow in dark energy and begins to spin making Venusaur spin too. Snorlax continues to spin faster and faster, making Venusaur dizzy. As Snorlax continues to spin Ash speaks.
"Okay Snorlax stop spinning and slam Venusaur onto the ground!" Ash calls with Snorlax nodding as he stops spinning and goes to sumo slam Venusaur onto the battlefield. Just when Venusaur's about to come into contact with the ground Drake speaks.
"Use Dig!" Drake calls. "What?!" Ash says in surprise as Venusaur manages to safely dig underground. Ash along with Snorlax have surprised looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"Snorlax Venusaur can appear from anywhere so make sure to dodge when it does!" Ash says with Snorlax nodding as Drake smiles and speaks.
"What makes you think that Venusaur's going to appear?" Drake asks, making Ash confused as Drake speaks.
"Venusaur use Solar Beam!" Drake calls surprising Ash as he speaks.
"Snorlax dodge!" Ash calls and just before Snorlax can dodge suddenly a large grassy beam appears from the ground and consumes Snorlax. Snorlax cries out in pain and is sent high into the air. Once the beam goes away Snorlax crashes back down on the battlefield creating a dust cloud while Venusaur appears back on the surface and the Sunny Day goes away as Ash speaks.
"Snorlax!" Ash calls in worry as when the dust clears everyone can see Snorlax laying on his back groaning in pain but stands back up as Drake speaks.
"Use Sludge Bomb!" Drake calls. Venusaur fires out multiple bombs of sludge from its mouth that head for Snorlax as Ash speaks.
"Blow them away with Hyper Beam!" Ash calls. Snorlax lets out a roar and fires out a large orange beam that easily destroys the poison bombs and heads for Venusaur as Drake speaks.
"Use Frenzy Plant!" Drake calls. Venusaur roars as it sends out multiple vines that easily get rid of the Hyper Beam and head for Snorlax as Ash speaks.
"Snorlax knock them away with Brutal Swing!" Ash calls. Snorlax covers his hands in dark energy and spins easily, knocking the vines away. Once Snorlax does that Drake smiles and speaks.
"Now Venusaur use Toxic!" Drake calls as Venusaur quickly spits out a toxic blob that makes contact with Snorlax. Once it does Snorlax begins to cough as he's now poisoned, surprising Ash as Drake speaks.
"Venusaur use Frenzy Plant again!" Drake calls as Venusaur sends multiple vines forward Ash speaks.
"Snorlax quick use Hyper Beam!" Ash calls. When Snorlax goes to use the beam, he coughs from poison damage which allows for the vines to jab/hit Snorlax causing damage to the mon as Ash speaks.
"Snorlax!" Ash calls in worry as when the vines go away Snorlax is groaning in pain. Up in the stands Leaf speaks.
"This isn't good if Ash keeps Snorlax in he's going to faint." Leaf says with the others nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Snorlax and begins to think.
"I was hoping that Snorlax would be the one to take down Venusaur, but it seems like I was wrong, and I need to return him before he faints." Ash says to himself as he pulls out Snorlax's Pokeball and speaks.
"Snorlax use Rest and return!" Ash calls with Snorlax nodding as he begins to sleep and heals the poison status along with the damage he's received. Snorlax then goes back into his Pokeball as Ash pulls out another Pokeball and speaks.
"Charizard come back out!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends Charizard back in. Once Charizard appears he lets out a roar then groans a little in pain. Charizard then looks over at Venusaur with the mon looking at him as Drake speaks.
"So, you brought your Charizard back out are you sure that it can take down my Venusaur?" Drake asks as Ash speaks.
Yeah, I'm sure!" Ash responds, making Drake smirk as he speaks.
"Well then let's continue. Venusaur use Frenzy Plant!" Drake calls. Venusaur roars as it summons multiple vines around itself and sends them at Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Charizard blow them away with Inferno!" Ash calls. Charizard roars as he heats up his body and sends out a large inferno that easily burns through the vines and heads for Venusaur as Drake speaks.
"Venusaur use Dig to dodge!" Drake calls. Venusaur quickly digs underground and dodges the attack. A couple seconds later Venusaur bursts from the ground and appears behind Charizard. Venusaur looks at the fire lizard as Drake speaks.
"Venusaur use Toxic!" "Charizard dodge and use Air Slash!" Both trainers' call. Venusaur spits out a toxic blob that goes to hit Charizard, but the fire lizard quickly flies in the air and dodges the attack. Charizard's wings then glow as he flaps them forward and sends out multiple slashes of wind at Venusaur. Drake calls for a command.
"Knock them away with Poison Jab then use Frenzy Plant!" Drake calls. Venusaur summons two vines covered in poison and easily knocks the slashes of wind away. Venusaur then summons multiple large vines and sends them at Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Charizard dodge and when you see an opening use Air Slash!" Ash calls with Charizard nodding as he begins to fly around doing his best to dodge the vines. As Charizard continues to dodge he then sees an opening and fires multiple slashes of wind that heads for Venusaur as Drake speaks.
"Sludge Bomb!" Drake calls. Venusaur spits out multiple bombs of sludge that collide with the slashes of wind creating an explosion. Out of the explosion appears Charizard who's now in front of Venusaur and has his body heating up as Ash speaks.
"Use Inferno!" "Venusaur use Dig!" Both trainers' call. Charizard roars and sends out a large Inferno, but Venusaur quickly digs underground dodging the attack. A couple seconds later Venusaur bursts from the ground and appears behind Charizard as Drake speaks.
"Use Toxic!" "Charizard Smokescreen!" Both trainers' call. When Venusaur's about to spit out the toxic blob Charizard quickly turns around and shoots out a black cloud of smoke from his mouth that makes contact with Venusaur causing the mon to cough as Ash speaks.
"Okay Charizard quick fly in the air!" Ash calls with Charizard nodding as just when he's about to do that Drake speaks.
"Frenzy Plant!" Drake calls. Suddenly two large vines appear from out of the smoke and jab Charizard hard in the stomach causing the mon to cough in pain as Ash speaks.
"Charizard!" Ash calls in worry as Drake speaks.
"Now wrap your Frenzy Plant around Charizard!" Drake calls. Venusaur nods and summons multiple vines that wrap around Charizard's mouth, arms, legs, tail, wings and the rest of his body fully restraining him. Ash has a surprised look on his face as Drake speaks.
"Good job Venusaur now charge up a Solar Beam and end this!" Drake calls with Venusaur nodding as it begins to charge up the beam Jake speaks.
"Ash's Charizard has been caught in Venusaur's vines is there any way for Ash to get his Charizard free?!" Jake says as back on the battlefield Ash looks at Charizard and speaks.
"Charizard break free with Inferno!" Ash calls and when Charizard begins to heat up his body Drake speaks.
"Poison Jab!" Drake calls. Venusaur quickly shoots a poison vine forward and jabs Charizard hard in the stomach forcing the mon to stop as Drake speaks.
"Just because Venusaur has Charizard all wrapped in his vines and charging up a Solar Beam doesn't mean that it still can't attack." Drake says while having a smile on his face while Ash's gritting his teeth. On the battlefield Charizard's groaning in pain as Venusaur has finished charging up the Solar Beam Drake speaks.
"Your Charizard was certainly impressive Ash, but this is the end for it. Venusaur Fire!" Drake calls with Venusaur roaring as it fires out a large grassy beam that heads for Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Charizard quick get out of there!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu call. Over with Charizard he tries to get himself free but can't. Charizard sees the beam is getting closer and doesn't want to lose this battle. Charizard digs deep, struggles a little bit and manages to free his mouth. Once Charizard does that he lets out a mighty roar as suddenly a large Hurricane appears surprising everyone. The move easily cuts through the vines that were restraining Charizard, freeing him and also easily destroys the Solar Beam as Jake speaks.
"I don't believe my eyes looks like Ash's Charizard has just learned Hurricane!" Jake says as Don George speaks.
"Wanting to free itself Charizard dug deep and managed to learn Hurricane." Don George says as back on the battlefield Ash has a smile on his face and speaks.
"Amazing Charizard you learned Hurricane! Now send it at Venusaur!" Ash calls. Charizard continues to roar as the Hurricane continues heading for Venusaur Drake speaks.
"Venusaur quick use Dig to dodge!" Drake calls as Ash speaks.
"Oh no you don't! Charizard use Dig and Fire Punch!" Ash calls. When Venusaur's about to dig underground Charizard quickly dives into the ground first. A couple seconds later Charizard bursts from underneath Venusaur and upper cuts the mon with his left fist causing damage to Venusaur as Drake speaks.
"Venusaur hit Charizard back with Sludge Bomb!" "Charizard dodge!" Both trainers' call. When Venusaur fires out the poison bombs of sludge Charizard quickly flies in the air and dodges the attack. Venusaur then looks forward and sees the Hurricane getting closer as Drake speaks.
"Venusaur quick use Protect!" Drake calls but was too late as the Hurricane consumes Venusaur. Inside the Hurricane Venusaur's being spun around fast and is taking super effective damage. Venusaur continues to be spun around until the Hurricane disappears and Venusaur's now high in the air. Venusaur's groaning in pain as Charizard appears next to the mon Ash speaks.
"Charizard use Seismic Toss!" Ash calls with Charizard nodding as he grabs Venusaur's left front leg and begins pulling the mon higher into the air as Drake speaks.
"Venusaur use Frenzy Plant!" Drake calls but Venusaur doesn't use the move because the Hurricane left Venusaur confused. Drake has a surprised look on his face as when Charizard gets high enough he begins to spin Venusaur around making it look like he's going around the world and making Venusaur even more dizzy. Then once Charizard's done doing that he then throws Venusaur down towards the battlefield as hard as he can as Ash speaks.
"Good job Charizard now use Overheat!" "Venusaur use Protect!" Both trainers' call. Up in the air Charizard heats up his body and roars sending out a big wave of fire from his mouth that heads for Venusaur. As Venusaur continues to fall it manages to break free from the confusion, looks up and sees the Overheat coming. Venusaur's about to use Protect but the Overheat connects with Venusaur, consuming it and pushes the mon back on the battlefield creating an explosion as Drake speaks.
"Venusaur!" Drake calls in worry as we see Charizard land back on the battlefield. Charizard groans a little in pain but then looks forward waiting to see the results. A couple seconds later the smoke clears and everyone can see that Venusaur's laying on its back and is knocked out. The mon reverts back to its original form as Wikstrom makes the call.
"Venusaur's unable to battle Charizard's the winner!" Wikstrom calls allowing for Ash and Pikachu to cheer while Charizard roars in victory and fires a Flamethrower towards the sky. Over at Oak's ranch Delia, Mr. Mime, Oak, Daisy, Rose and Ash's Pokémon cheer too with the fire types cheering the loudest as they also fire Flamethrowers high in the air surprising everyone there. Back at the stadium Ash's friends cheer too as Misty, Leaf, and Nemona speak.
"They did it!" The 3 girls cheer happily as Tracey speaks.
"It was a tough battle but Ash and Charizard managed to take down Drake's Mega Venusaur." Tracey says with the others nodding as Barry speaks.
"To think that those were only Drake's first 3 Pokémon, and it took 5 of Ash's Pokémon to defeat them it makes me curious to see how strong his last 3 are." Barry says as Nemona speaks.
"I know right? Doesn't it make you excited?!" Nemona says while having an excited look on her face as back on the battlefield Drake returns Venusaur back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Once he puts the ball away, he looks over at Ash who's looking at Charizard and speaks.
"We did it Charizard we took down our first mega Pokémon I knew you could do it!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu say with Charizard nodding as he then groans in pain. Ash sees Charizard groaning in pain quickly pulls out the mons Pokeball and speaks.
"Charizard return!" Ash says with Charizard nodding as he goes back in his Pokeball. Ash tells Charizard to rest for now then puts the ball back on his belt. Once he does that, he looks over at Drake who begins to speak.
"You truly are a skilled trainer Ash as I was confident that my Venusaur would've taken down your Charizard." Drake says as Ash speaks.
"Thanks, but if it wasn't for Charizard learning Hurricane Venusaur probably would've won instead." Ash says with Drake nodding as he speaks.
"Well, the results speak for itself and now it's time for me to bring out my next Pokémon" Drake says while pulling out his next Pokeball as he goes to throw it.
"Gengar come out!" Drake says as he throws the ball forward and sends out a Gengar. When the mon appears, its color is different from a regular Gengar as it looks more like a pale purple with pale red eyes. The mon looks forward and has a smile on its face as Jake speaks.
"Drake's next Pokémon is Gengar!" Jake says as Don George speaks.
"And if you take a closer look at Gengar it's a shiny" Don George says as over with the group Tracey speaks.
"I've never seen a shiny Gengar before I gotta sketch it." Tracey says as he pulls out his sketch book and begins to sketch the mon. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Gengar and begins to think.
"So, a shiny Gengar's his next Pokémon and it looks bigger than mine. But seeing as it's a ghost type I have the perfect Pokémon to use against it." Ash says to himself as he pulls out his next Pokeball and goes to throw it forward.
"Greninja come back out!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends Greninja back in. Once the mon appears Greninja has a serious look on his face and looks at Gengar with the ghost looking back at him. Up in the stands Misty speaks.
"Nice Greninja's back in." Misty says as Leaf speaks.
"With his speed and dark type moves he should be able to take down Gengar." Leaf says as Rinto speaks.
"While that may be true Gengar's are also pretty speedy and can be tricky as well so Ash will need to watch out for that." Rinto says with the group nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Greninja and speaks.
"Greninja let's do this!" Ash says with Greninja nodding as he along with Gengar get into battle stances. Wikstrom calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.
"Use Water Shuriken!" Ash calls. Greninja quickly throws two shuriken's at Gengar as Drake speaks.
"Use Electro Ball!" Drake calls. Gengar summons an electric ball and throws it forward. The move easily goes through the two shuriken and heads for Greninja as Ash speaks.
"Greninja dodge!" Ash calls with Greninja nodding as he quickly moves to the left and dodges the attack. Drake then speaks.
"Gengar use Phantom Force!" Drake calls with Gengar nodding as it summons a portal in front of the electric ball allowing for it to go inside. A couple seconds later a portal appears on Greninja's right side and out of it comes the Electro Ball that hits Greninja causing super effective damage as Ash speaks.
"Greninja!" Ash calls in worry as Greninja groans in pain but can still battle as Ash begins to think.
"So, he knew that I was going to have Greninja dodge the Electro Ball and when Greninja did Drake had Gengar use Phantom Force to have the ball go inside it and hit Greninja." Ash says to himself as he looks over at Drake who has a smile on his face Ash speaks.
"Nice plan but now that we know that we're not going to fall for it again!" Ash states with Greninja agreeing with him as Drake speaks.
"Is that so" Drake says as he goes to call for his next command.
"Gengar use Dark Pulse!" Drake calls. Gengar opens its mouth and sends out a stream of dark energy that heads for Greninja as Ash speaks.
"Greninja dodge then use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls. Greninja nods and quickly jumps to the left easily evading Gengar's attack. Greninja then shoots out a big stream of water from his right hand that goes to hit Gengar as Drake speaks.
"Gengar dodge then use Electro Ball!" Drake calls. Gengar manages to easily dodge the Hydro Pump then throws an electric ball at Greninja as Ash speaks.
"Greninja punch it back with Aerial Ace!" Ash calls. Greninja's right fist glows in blue flying energy and punches the electric ball sending it back at Gengar as Drake speaks.
"Gengar dodge!" Drake calls with Gengar nodding as it easily evades it by moving to the right. Once Gengar does that, Greninja suddenly appears in front of it as Ash speaks.
"Use Night Slash!" Ash calls. Before Drake can call for a command Greninja summons two purple blades and swings them out slashing Gengar and getting a critical hit. Gengar groans from the super effective hit as Ash speaks.
"Nice looks like that did damage! Greninja use Night Slash again!" Ash calls with Greninja nodding as when he goes to use the move again, he suddenly feels a ghostly presence on his body as his Night Slash disappears. Ash along with Greninja have surprised looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"What?!" Ash says in surprise as Drake smiles and speaks.
"Gengar use Electro Ball!" Drake calls with Gengar nodding as it quickly throws an electric ball forward that hits Greninja hard in the stomach and creates an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Greninja!" Ash calls in worry as out of the smoke appears Greninja who's sent flying and falls back on the battlefield landing on his back as Ash speaks.
"Greninja are you okay?!" Ash asks with Greninja nodding as he stands back up but is groaning in pain Drake then speaks.
"I bet that you're wondering why your Greninja's Night Slash disappeared right? It's because my Gengar has the ability Cursed Body which can disable a Pokémon's move." Drake says as Ash speaks.
"That's right my Gengar has that ability too. I should've known." Ash says to himself as Drake speaks.
"Now then here we come! Gengar use Electro Ball!" Drake calls with Gengar nodding as it throws another ball of electricity at Greninja Ash speaks.
"Greninja use Double Team to dodge!" Ash calls. Greninja quickly creates multiple clones of himself and dodges the electric ball as it hits one of Greninja's clones instead Drake speaks.
"Gengar use Phantom Force!" Drake calls. Gengar summons another ghostly portal in front of the Electro Ball allowing it to go in. A couple seconds later a portal opens allowing for the electric ball to shoot forward and hits another one of Greninja's clones instead. Drake then speaks.
"Gengar do it again!" Drake calls with Gengar nodding as it summons multiple ghostly portals that allows the Electro Ball to go in and come out destroying more of Greninja's clones. Up in the stands Tracey speaks.
"Looks like Drake's plan is for Gengar to have the Electro Ball mow down Greninja's clones until it finds the real one." Tracey says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield the Electro Ball continues to get rid of Greninja's clones until there's one Greninja left as Drake speaks.
"Looks like that's the real one. Hit it Gengar!" Drake calls with Gengar nodding as it sends the electric ball towards Greninja. As the ball is getting closer Ash isn't saying anything as up in the stands Barry speaks.
"What's Ash doing? How come he's not saying anything?!" Barry says as Tracey speaks.
"I'm not sure because once that attack hits Greninja he might faint." Tracey responds as the group have worried looks on their faces and continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield the Electro Ball hits Greninja as Drake speaks.
"Looks like it's our win!" Drake says happily as Ash smiles and speaks.
"Is it though?" Ash asks, making Drake confused as he along with everyone look at Greninja and see the mon disappear. Everyone has surprised looks on their faces as Drake speaks.
"Wait if that was a clone then where's the real Greninja?" Drake says as he along with Gengar begin trying to look for the mon. Drake doesn't see Greninja in the air and doesn't see a hole on the battlefield either. Drake is confused as there shouldn't be anywhere for Greninja to hide but then Drake realizes something and looks at the multiple Phantom Forces on the battlefield. Drake looks over at Ash and speaks.
"You didn't." Drake says as Ash continues to smile suddenly a portal appears on Gengar's left side and out of it appears a hand as Ash speaks.
"Greninja use Hydro Pump!" "Gengar dodge!" Both trainers' call. Before Gengar can dodge suddenly a large stream of water appears and consumes Gengar causing damage to the mon as Gengar's pushed back a few feet away. Gengar groans in pain then looks forward and sees Greninja walking out of the portal surprising everyone as Drake speaks.
"I see so during the time I had Gengar use the Electro Ball and Phantom Force combination the real Greninja was already in the Phantom Force, right?" Drake asks with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yep, I figured that this would be a great way for Greninja to damage Gengar and looks like I was right." Ash says while having a happy look on his face as Drake speaks.
"It's great to see you excited but now it's time for some payback. Gengar use Electro Ball!" Drake calls. Gengar summons another electric ball and throws it forward towards Greninja as Ash speaks.
"Greninja use Liquidation then Water Shuriken!" Ash calls. Greninja summons two water blades from his hands and swings them out word easily destroying the Electric ball. Greninja then throws a couple water shuriken's forward that go to hit Gengar as Drake speaks.
"Gengar use Phantom Force to dodge!" Drake calls. Gengar quickly summons a portal next to itself and dodges Greninja's attack. A portal appears on Greninja's right side and out of it appears Gengar who goes to hit Greninja as Ash speaks.
"Greninja back away!" Ash calls. Greninja quickly backs away, allowing for Gengar to miss its attack as Drake speaks.
"Gengar use Sludge Wave!" "Greninja counter with Hydro Pump!" Both trainers' call. Gengar summons a wave of poison while Greninja fires out a large stream of water from his right hand causing both moves to collide. The two attacks go back and forth with each other until they explode, Drake then speaks.
"Gengar use Electro Ball!" Drake calls. Gengar appears out of the smoke and throws an electric ball towards Greninja as Ash speaks.
"Greninja punch the Electro Ball away!" Ash calls with Greninja nodding as he upper cuts the ball with his right fist sending it upward as Drake speaks.
"Gengar use Phantom Force!" Drake calls. Gengar quickly summons a ghostly portal in front of the electric ball allowing for it to go inside. A portal then opens up on Greninja's left side as Ash speaks.
"Look out Greninja!" Ash calls with Greninja nodding as he manages to narrowly avoid the electric ball. Gengar then suddenly appears in front of Greninja and has its left fist ready as Drake speaks.
"Use Shadow Punch!" Drake calls. Before Ash can call for a command Gengar covers its left fist in ghost energy and punches Greninja hard across the face causing damage to the mon. Greninja groans in pain as Gengar has its right-hand ready Drake speaks.
"Use Electro Ball!" Drake calls with Gengar nodding as it summons an electric ball from its right hand and goes to hit Greninja with it as Ash smiles and speaks.
"Greninja use Double Team to dodge!" Ash calls. Greninja quickly creates multiple clones of himself and dodges Gengar's attack as Drake speaks.
"Gengar get rid of the clones with Sludge Wave!" Drake calls with Gengar nodding as it summons a big wave of sludge that consumes the clones and heads for the real Greninja as Ash speaks.
"Greninja jump in the air to dodge then use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls. Greninja quickly jumps in the air and dodges the wave of sludge as he then points his right hand forward and sends out a stream of water that heads for Gengar as Drake speaks.
"Gengar dodge then use Electro Ball!" Drake calls. Gengar quickly moves to the left and dodges Greninja's attack. Then when Gengar's about to use Electro Ball Greninja suddenly appears in front of the mon and has his fists ready as Ash speaks.
"Greninja use Aerial Ace!" "Gengar dodge!" Both trainers' call. Before Gengar can dodge Greninja's fists along with feet glow in blue flying energy and begins to punch/kick Gengar repeatedly. As Greninja continues to hit Gengar he punches the mon hard in the face one more time and sends Gengar sliding back a few feet away groaning in pain as Ash speaks.
"Greninja use Water Shuriken!" Ash calls with Greninja nodding as he puts his hands together and throws a water shuriken forward that goes to hit Gengar as Drake speaks.
"Gengar dodge with Phantom Force!" Drake calls with Gengar nodding as when it summons a portal and is about to go inside it. Ash smiles and calls for his next command.
"Greninja use Night Slash!" Ash calls surprising Drake as Greninja summons two dark blades from his hands, combines them together (turning them into a Javelin) and throws it forward. The long dark Javelin manages to reach Gengar's Phantom Force and dispel it. Gengar along with Drake have surprised looks on their faces as Gengar then sees the Water Shuriken getting closer Drake speaks.
"Gengar quick use Electro Ball!" Drake calls but was too late as the Water Shuriken hits Gengar and creates an explosion as Drake speaks.
"Gengar!" Drake calls in worry as out of the smoke appears Gengar who's sent flying a few feet away and lands on its back. Everyone looks at the mon and can see that it's knocked out as Wikstrom speaks
"Gengar's unable to battle Greninja's the winner!" Wikstrom calls allowing for Ash, Pikachu and Greninja to cheer. Back at Oak's ranch Delia, Mr. Mime, Oak, Daisy, Rose and Ash's Pokémon cheer with the water types cheering the loudest. Back at the stadium in the stands Ash's friends cheer too as Misty speaks.
"Greninja managed to take down Gengar!" Misty says happily with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Drake returns Gengar back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Once Drake puts the ball away, he looks over at Ash who's looking at Greninja and speaks.
"Great job Greninja I knew you could do it!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu say with Greninja nodding as Drake speaks.
"Your Greninja's not only strong but also stealthy you've raised it well." Drake says with Ash nodding as Drake pulls out another Pokeball and speaks.
"But I wonder how it'll fair against my next one." Drake says as he goes to throw the ball forward and speaks.
"Electivire, come out!" Drake says as he throws the ball forward and sends out a Pokémon that looks like a bigger version of Electabuzz. The mon looks forward having a serious look on its face as Jake speaks.
"Drake's next Pokémon is an Electivire!" Jake says as Ash speaks.
"Electivire?" Ash says as he pulls out his Pokedex to scan the mon.
"Electivire, the Thunderbolt Pokémon, the fully evolved form of Electabuzz and a pure Electric type. When Electivire attacks, it pushes the tips of its two tails against its opponent." The Pokedex says as Ash looks at the mon and speaks.
"So, that's what it is, and it looks strong." Ash says to himself as he then looks over at Greninja and sees him panting a little bit. Ash pulls out Greninja's Pokeball and speaks.
"Greninja return!" Ash says with the mon nodding as he goes back in his Pokeball. Ash then puts the ball back on his belt as Drake speaks.
"Smart choice" Drake says with Ash nodding as he pulls out his next Pokeball and speaks.
"Thanks, and I think this one will be a good match for Electivire. Lucario come out!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends Lucario back in. Once Lucario appears she groans a little in pain from her battle against Steelix then looks over at Electivire and gets in a battle stance with Electivire doing the same. Wikstrom calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.
"Lucario use Aura Sphere!" Ash calls. Lucario puts her hands together creating a blue ball of fighting energy and sends it at Electivire as Drake speaks.
"Electivire knock it away then use Thunder!" Drake calls. Electivire nods as it swings out its left arm and easily knocks the Aura Sphere away. Electivire then sparks its body and sends out a large electric bolt that heads for Lucario as Ash speaks.
"Lucario dodge then use Bullet Punch!" Ash calls. Lucario quickly moves to the left and dodges the Thunder. Lucario's fists then glow in steel energy as she shoots forward, reaches Electivire and punches the mon five times in the face. Electivire groans a little in pain as Ash speaks.
"Good job Lucario now use Bone Rush!" Ash calls with Lucario nodding as she summons two bones from her hands and goes to hit Electivire as Drake speaks.
"Electivire stop Lucario with your tails!" Drake calls with Electivire nodding as it shoots its tails forward and has them wrap around Lucario's arms holding her in place. Lucario begins trying to free herself as Ash speaks.
"Lucario hit Electivire with High Jump Kick!" "Electivire dodge then use Fire Punch!" Both trainers' call. Lucario's left leg glows red and goes to kick Electivire, but the mon dodges the attack. Electivire then covers its left fist in fire and punches Lucario hard in the stomach making her cough in pain and cause super effective damage. Electivire then gets its right fist ready as Drake speaks.
"Electivire use Fire Punch repeatedly!" "Lucario quick use Double Team!" Both trainers' call. Unfortunately for Ash Lucario can't use Double Team in time as Electivire covers both of its fists in fire and begins to repeatedly punch Lucario in the stomach with each punch hurting more than the last. Electivire then punches Lucario hard in the face with its left fist making the mon groan in pain. Lucario looks at Electivire while having a determined look on her face as Drake speaks.
"Looks like it can still battle but not for long. Electivire finish it off with Thunder!" "Lucario quick get out of there!" Both trainers' call. Electivire sparks its body and lets out a roar summoning a large Thunder that begins to shock Lucario. Inside the Thunder Lucario's crying out in pain as a couple seconds later the Thunder goes away and Electivire lets Lucario go. Lucario lands back on the ground still standing and wobbling back and forth. Lucario tries to continue standing as she still wants to battle but her body has reached its limit. Lucario closes her eyes then falls on the ground landing on her stomach. Ash along with everyone can see that Lucario's knocked out as Wikstrom makes the call.
"Lucario's unable to battle Electivire's the winner!" Wikstrom calls allowing for Drake to smile while Electivire roars in victory. Up in the stands Cameron speaks.
"Darn Ash's Lucario lost." Cameron says as Tracey speaks.
"True but she did her best" Tracey says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash along with Pikachu are sad that Lucario lost as Ash then pulls out Lucario's Pokeball and returns her. Ash tells Lucario thank you then puts the ball back on his belt. Once he does that, he looks over at Electivire and begins to think.
"His Electivire has a lot of power meaning that I need to use a Pokémon that can match it, and I believe it's you." Ash says while looking at his next Pokeball as he goes to throw it.
"Snorlax come out!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends Snorlax back in. Once Snorlax appears he's still sleeping as Drake speaks.
"So, you decided to bring your Snorlax back out but it's still asleep." Drake says as Ash speaks.
"True but Snorlax can still fight while he's asleep." Ash responds, making Drake curious as his Electivire gets in a battle stance. Wikstrom calls for the battle to continue as Drake speaks.
"Electivire use Thunder!" Drake calls with Electivire nodding as it sparks its body and sends out a large electric bolt that heads for Snorlax as Ash speaks.
"Snorlax use Sleep Talk!" Ash calls surprising Drake as Snorlax suddenly covers his body in an orange sphere with purple streaks and shoots forward. Snorlax easily goes through the Thunder and hits Electivire causing damage to the mon. Electivire's sent sliding back a few feet away but then manages to stop itself as it looks at the still sleeping Snorlax Drake speaks.
"So that's what you meant." Drake says with Ash nodding as Drake speaks.
"But Sleep Talk requires luck so let's see just how lucky you are!" Drake says as he goes to call for his next command.
"Electivire use Focus Blast!" Drake calls. Electivire nods as it begins to charge up the attack Ash speaks.
"Snorlax use Sleep Talk!" Ash calls and when he does Snorlax uses Work Up increasing his physical and special attack power. This allows for Electivire to finish charging up the Focus Blast and shoot it forward as Ash speaks.
"Snorlax dodge!" Ash calls but Snorlax doesn't dodge as the attack hits him creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Snorlax!" Ash calls in worry as when the smoke clears everyone can see that Snorlax is still asleep and is groaning in pain as Drake speaks.
"Okay Electivire let's finish Snorlax off with Brick Break!" Drake calls with Electivire nodding as it jumps forward with its left hand glowing white and goes to chop down on Snorlax as Ash speaks.
"Snorlax dodge!" Ash yells as that allows for Snorlax to wake up and dodge Electivire's attack by backing away. Drake along with Electivire have surprised looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"Great job Snorlax you managed to wake up!" Ash says happily with Snorlax nodding as Ash speaks.
"Okay Snorlax use Hyper Beam!" Ash calls with Snorlax nodding as he looks at Electivire and fires out a large orange beam that heads for the mon Drake speaks.
"Counter with Thunder!" Drake calls. Electivire quickly fires out a large electric bolt that collides with the Hyper Beam. The Hyper Beam easily overpowers the Thunder and heads for Electivire as Drake speaks.
"Electivire dodge!" Drake calls with Electivire nodding as it quickly moves to the right dodging the attack. Suddenly Snorlax appears in front of Electivire and has his right fist ready as Ash speaks.
"Snorlax use Mega Punch!" Ash calls. Snorlax's right fist glows and goes to hit Electivire as Drake speaks.
"Electivire use Low Kick then slam Snorlax on the ground!" Drake calls. Electivire nods as it kicks Snorlax's left leg with its right one causing Snorlax to fall. Electivire then grabs Snorlax's right arm and sumo slams the mon hard on the battlefield making him land on his back. Snorlax groans in pain and sees Electivire have its right hand ready as Drake speaks.
"Use Brick Break!" Drake calls. Electivire covers its right hand in white energy and goes to chop down on Snorlax as Ash speaks.
"Snorlax use Rollout!" Ash calls. Snorlax nods as he quickly curls into a ball and rolls away from Electivire causing the mon to chop the ground instead. Snorlax gets behind Electivire, shoots forward and hits the mon hard in the back. Electivire groans in pain then looks at Snorlax as Drake speaks.
"Use Brick Break!" "Snorlax back away and hit Electivire again!" Both trainers' call. Electivire goes to chop Snorlax with its left hand, but Snorlax manages to back away. Once Snorlax gets a good enough distance he shoots forward and begins heading for Electivire as Drake speaks.
"Electivire use Bulk Up and stop Snorlax!" Drake calls with Electivire nodding as it bulks up its body increasing its physical attack/defense power and collides with Snorlax. Once the two mons collide Snorlax begins to slowly push Electivire back with the mon trying its best to stop him. As Snorlax continues to push Electivire the mon begins to spark its body as Drake speaks.
"Use Thunder!" Drake calls. Electivire roars and summons a large electric bolt from the sky that connects with Snorlax creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Snorlax!" Ash calls in worry as out of the smoke appears Snorlax who was sent sliding back a few feet away. Snorlax groans a little in pain as Ash speaks.
"Are you okay Snorlax?!" Ash asks with the mon nodding as Drake speaks.
"Electivire Focus Blast!" Drake calls. Electivire nods as it quickly tightens its focus and sends out an orange ball of fighting energy that heads for Snorlax as Ash speaks.
"Snorlax use Hammer Arm!" Ash calls. Snorlax's right arm glows in white energy and connects with the attack. The Focus Blast begins trying to push Snorlax back but Snorlax roars, increasing his power and successfully punches the move back. The Focus Blast now heads for Electivire as Drake speaks.
"Electivire dodge!" Drake calls. Electivire quickly moves to the right and dodges the attack. Electivire then sees Snorlax appear in front of itself as Drake speaks.
"Electivire use Thunder!" Drake calls with Electivire nodding as it fires the attack Ash speaks.
"Snorlax use High Horsepower!" Ash calls surprising Drake as Snorlax gains an orange outline around his body bypasses the Thunder and rams his right shoulder hard into Electivire. Electivire's sent flying as it falls back on the battlefield a few feet away landing on its back. Electivire groans in pain as Ash speaks.
"Snorlax it's time to end this use Body Slam!" Ash calls with Snorlax nodding as he jumps high in the air then begins falling towards Electivire as Drake speaks.
"Electivire quick use Focus Blast!" Drake calls with Electivire nodding as it stands back up and launches the attack towards Snorlax Ash speaks.
"Snorlax dodge and hit Electivire!" Ash calls with Snorlax nodding as he manages to narrowly dodge the Focus Blast, points his chest forward and hits Electivire pushing the mon back on the battlefield creating an explosion as Drake speaks.
"Electivire!" Drake calls in worry as when the smoke clears everyone can see Snorlax standing while looking at an unconscious Electivire. Wikstrom makes the call.
"Electivire's unable to battle Snorlax's the winner!" Wikstrom calls allowing for Ash, Pikachu and Snorlax to cheer. Back at Oak's ranch Delia, Mr. Mime, Oak, Daisy, Rose, and Ash's Pokémon cheer too with the normal types, Decidueye, Melmetal, Skeledirge, Dracovish, and Tyrantrum cheering the loudest. Back at the stadium Ash's friends cheer too as Cameron speaks.
"Now that Ash has taken down Electivire he just needs to take down Drake's final Pokémon and win!" Cameron says with the group nodding as Nemona speaks.
"Yes, and now Ash has one more hurdle to pass before he can win and it's going to be his toughest one." Nemona says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Drake returns Electivire back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Once Drake puts the ball away, he looks over at Ash who's looking at Snorlax then speaks.
"Great job Snorlax just one more and we'll win!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu say with Snorlax nodding as Drake speaks.
"Ash, I want to congratulate you on making it this far as over the passed 8 years no trainer other than the one I've mentioned earlier has reached the point to where I got to use my final Pokémon." Drake says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Really? That's great to hear because it makes us more excited to take it down." Ash says with Pikachu and Snorlax agreeing with him. Drake smiles and speaks.
"That excitement in your voice really reminds me of when I battled your father." Drake says to himself as he grabs the Pokeball on his necklace and looks at it. Drake then looks forward and speaks.
"Ash right here in this ball is my final and also my strongest Pokémon. It's also the last one standing in your way for victory." Drake says with Ash nodding as Drake then gets a serious look on his face and speaks.
"Now! Here he comes! Dragonite Come Out!" Drake says as he throws the ball forward and sends in his Dragonite. Once the mon appears it has a smile on its face and lets out a "Barow" as Jake speaks.
"Here it is everyone Drake's final Pokémon Dragonite a Pokémon that not many trainers can defeat!" Jake says as in the stands Ash's friends look at the mon as Leaf speaks.
"Dragonite's finally here." Leaf says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash along with Pikachu and Snorlax look at the mon as Ash speaks.
"There you are Dragonite." Ash says as over with Drake he looks at Dragonite and speaks.
"Dragonite you're the last one standing let's get revenge for our fallen comrades and win!" Drake says with Dragonite nodding as it's once happy expression is then replaced with a serious one. Once that happens Ash along with his Pokémon can feel the amount of pressure that Dragonite's giving off as Ash speaks.
"This pressure it's a lot more intense than when I saw it before." Ash says to himself as he then smiles and speaks.
"But this also makes me excited. Snorlax let's do this!" Ash says with Snorlax nodding as he along with Dragonite get into battle stances. The two mons along with their trainers are looking at each other in silence, having serious looks on their faces. Those watching in the stands and those watching on TV are also waiting for the battle to begin. Back on the battlefield the two trainers along with their Pokémon continue to look at each other as Wikstrom speaks.
"Let the battle continue!" Wikstrom calls as both trainers speak.
"Use Hyper Beam!" Ash along with Drake call as the two-mons roar and fire out their own orange beam that travel down the battlefield and collide creating an explosion as the chapter comes to an end.

Originally, I wasn't going to have it mega evolve but after thinking about it more I decided to it to give Ash more of a challenge.
