Chapter 113: A Pallet Town Reunion! And Ash vs Gary!
Hello everyone, this chapter is going to be the last one for the Orange Islands arc of my story. In this chapter the gang will make it back to Pallet Town and reunite with their friends and Pokémon. Also, Ash and Gary will have a battle too. Now with all of that out of the way, this is a long chapter, and I hope you all enjoy it.
The chapter begins 6 days after the last chapter ended. The day after the gang said goodbye to Lapras (Ash sent Lapras's Pokeball over to Oak's lab and Daisy placed it in the same spot where Butterfree's Pokeball is) they made it to Hamlin Island and went on a ship that would take them towards Pallet Town. During this time the group was mainly relaxing, playing games and eating a lot of delicious food. Ash also battled a few trainers on the ship who saw his battle against Drake along with his other battles in the Orange League and wanted to battle him. Ash managed to easily defeat the trainers and gave them some good advice on what they can do to improve themselves. While on the ship Ash along with Misty also had their first date with each other as Ash treated Misty to a nice restaurant on the ship which made Misty happy as they then danced afterward (Ash during the dance was stumbling a few times but Misty helped him). As Ash and Misty were on their date Leaf along with Tracey were in charge of watching the Pokémon.
As they were watching them somehow Poliwag along with Togetic got lost and were roaming around the ship. After 30 minutes of searching Leaf along with Tracey and Pikachu managed to find the two mons. Once that was over the next day the ship dropped the group off where Pallet Town would be a 1 days walk. During the walk they went into Viridian Forest where they ran into that Fearow from earlier in the arc again. Ash had a battle against the mon with Pikachu and easily won. Ash told Fearow that it was a good battle with Fearow agreeing as it then flew away to be with its flock while the group continued to walk. We now come to present time as it's now the next day and see the group walking on a pathway. They continue to walk until Leaf sees something up ahead and speaks.
"I think I see it!" Leaf says as when the group continue to walk forward Pallet Town fully comes into view. The group all have excited looks on their faces as Ash along with Leaf speak.
"We Made IT!" "PIKA!" Ash, Leaf, and Pikachu let out a loud cheer which hurts the ears of Misty, Togetic, Poliwag and Tracey. Once the two kids are done cheering Tracey speaks.
"Wow you two are really happy to be back huh?" Tracey asks with the two kids nodding as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, it was only about 2 in a half months but it feels like we've been away from home for a long time." Ash says with the group nodding as Leaf speaks.
"Well, this is where we part ways." Leaf says causing the group to look at her as Misty speaks.
"You're leaving Leaf?" Misty asks with Leaf nodding as she speaks.
"Yep, I'm going to go home and say hi to my mom and probably change out of these clothes. But I'll meet with you guys back at Prof. Oak's after." Leaf says with the group nodding as Ash speaks.
"Okay Leaf see you in a little bit." Ash says with Leaf nodding as she then runs forward at a fast speed, instantly entering Pallet Town and running towards her house. The group see her running as Tracey speaks.
"You know I sometimes forget just how fast Leaf can run." Tracey says as Misty speaks.
"Well, most of our travels during the Orange Islands was by sea so we didn't get to see Leaf run much." Misty says with Tracey nodding as Ash speaks.
"Anyway, we should go too as I want to go say hi to my mom." Ash says with Misty and Tracey nodding as the group of 3 begin walking forward and enter Pallet Town. Once they enter the town they begin walking and some of the locals say hi to Ash with Ash saying hi back. A couple minutes later the group have made it to Ash's house and are at the front door. Ash looks at the door, staring at it as Tracey speaks.
"Aren't you going to go inside Ash?" Tracey asks as Ash speaks.
"I will it's just it's been a while since I've been home, so I want to take a minute" Ash responds with Misty and Tracey nodding. After that Ash takes a deep breath and opens the door. When he does that, he then speaks.
"Mom I'm home!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu say and when they do suddenly Raichu, Incineroar, Lycanroc, Decidueye, Meowscarada, Lucario, Greninja, and Melmetal appear all letting out a happy roar and are jumping towards Ash and Pikachu. Before Ash can tell them to stop the 8-mons collide with Ash and Pikachu sending them flying back a few feet and tackling them on the ground. Misty along with Togetic, Poliwag and Tracey all have surprised looks on their faces as we come over to Ash and Pikachu. We see the 8-mons hugging them as Ash laughs a little bit, smiles and speaks.
"Hey guys we're happy to see you too but can you please get off?" Ash asks with the 8-mons nodding as they get off them. Once they do, Ash stands up with Pikachu climbing back on his left shoulder. Ash then looks at the 8-mons and speaks.
"It's great to see you all again" Ash says with the 8-mons nodding as they all have smiles on their faces. The group then hear a voice.
"Ash?" The voice says as Delia along with Mr. Mime appear out of the house. When they do Ash looks at her as Delia's eyes widen and speaks.
"Ash it's you!" Delia says as she begins running over to her son Ash speaks.
"Mom!" Ash says happily as when he's about to hug her, Delia runs past Ash and grabs Pikachu. Once she does, she looks at the yellow mouse and speaks.
"It's great to see you too Pikachu." Delia says with the yellow mouse nodding, causing Ash to fall as he speaks.
"But what about me?" Ash says as Delia looks at him and speaks.
"Oh of course I'm happy to see you, Ash." Delia says as she walks over to her son, wraps him in a hug and speaks.
"Welcome home" Delia says making Ash smile as he hugs her back. Once that happens, they then let go of each other as Delia looks over at Misty and Tracey then speaks.
"Misty, Tracey it's great to see you again and I hope Ash hasn't caused you too much trouble." Delia says as Misty speaks.
"Not more than usual." Misty says with Togetic, Poliwag and Tracey agreeing as Ash speaks.
"Hey, what's that mean?" Ash asks while having an annoyed look on his face as Delia speaks.
"Oh, what am I thinking you must all be tired from your journey come inside. Also, Ash, Misty I have a surprise for you" Delia says making Ash along with Misty curious as they along with everyone else go inside. Once they're inside Ash, along with Misty and Tracey greet Mr. Mime with the mime greeting them back. They then see that the inside of the house is bigger as Ash speaks.
"The house seems bigger than before." Ash says as Delia speaks.
"After Incineroar along with your other Pokémon evolved I realized that there wasn't going to be a lot of space for them while they stayed here so I decided to expand the house to accommodate them." Delia says with Ash nodding as he along with Misty and Tracey see Pikachu, Togetic, and Poliwag playing with Raichu, Lycanroc, and Lucario. Incineroar, Meowscarada, and Greninja are watching them play while Decidueye and Melmetal are taking a nap. The 3 humans have smiles on their faces as Ash speaks.
"Oh yeah before I forget. Mom look this is the trophy I got for winning the Orange League" Ash says making Delia happy as she speaks.
"Amazing Ash! And now I have another dumbbell for my workouts." Delia says as she takes the trophy and begins to workout with it along with Ash's SS. Anne trophy. Ash has a surprised look on his face while Misty along with Tracey chuckle a little bit. Then once Delia's done playing around, she looks at Ash and speaks.
"But on a more serious note, Ash I'm very proud of you for winning the Orange League congratulations." Delia says with Ash nodding as he says thank you. Misty then speaks.
"By the way Ms. Ketchum what did you want to show us?" Misty asks as Delia speaks.
"Oh yes that's right." Delia says as she looks towards the kitchen and speaks.
"You can come out now!" Delia says as out of the kitchen door appears Brock who's wearing a pink apron. Ash along with Misty, Pikachu and Togetic have surprised looks on their faces as they speak.
"It's Brock!" The two kids exclaim in surprise as Brock speaks.
"Yo" Brock says while having a smile on his face as Ash speaks.
"Brock what are you doing here? Weren't you staying at Prof. Ivy's?" Ash asks as Brock speaks.
"I was but you see after I learned everything I could from her I decided to leave so that I could continue my travels." Brock responds as Misty speaks.
"In other words, she rejected you, didn't she?" Misty asks, making Brock sad as he begins to sulk in a corner and speaks.
"Why'd you'd have to say that?" Brock says in a sad tone as Ash speaks.
"But I still don't get why you're here I thought you'd be back at home in Pewter City" Ash says as Brock then quickly recovers and speaks.
"Well, I did stop by Pewter City before coming here to say hi to my family. Then after hanging out with them for a while I decided to pay a visit here." Brock responds as Delia speaks.
"Brock's been a great help around the house too but does get into arguments with Mimey when it comes to cooking/cleaning." Delia says with the group nodding as they then see Brock along with Mr. Mime arguing about who gets to use the broom next. The group let out a small chuckle as once Brock's done arguing with Mr. Mime he walks over to Ash and Misty and speaks.
"Ash, I watched your battles in the Orange League and Misty I watch your final battle in the Mandarin Island tournament and just want to say congratulations. You both worked hard and I'm proud of you both." Brock says with Ash and Misty nodding, making them smile as Brock continues to speak.
"I also heard from Ms. Ketchum that you two are now a couple and I wanted to congratulate you guys on that too." Brock says as he smiles with Ash along with Misty smiling back at them telling Brock thank you. Brock then looks over at Tracey and speaks.
"And you must be Tracey it's nice to meet you" Brock says as he walks over to him, holds out his right hand and speaks.
"Likewise, and I heard a lot about you from Ash, Misty, and Leaf." Tracey says with Brock nodding as they then let go of each other's hands. When they do that Ash speaks.
"Anyway, now that reuniting with Brock's done, I want to head over to Prof. Oak's lab as I want to go and congratulate my Pokémon on helping me win the league." Ash says as Brock speaks.
"In that case I'll come with you as I haven't seen Prof. Oak or Daisy yet and I'm also curious to seeing the new Pokémon you captured." Brock says with Ash nodding as Misty speaks.
"Leaf's most likely already there too as she said that she was going to meet us there and she's going to be shocked when she sees you, Brock." Misty says with Brock nodding as Tracey speaks.
"Well, what are you waiting for let's go!" Tracey says as he's already outside Brock speaks.
"Wow he's really ready to go." Brock says as Ash speaks.
"You see Tracey's a big fan of Prof. Oak" Ash says with Brock nodding as Ash then looks at Delia and speaks.
"Well mom we're heading over to Prof. Oak's lab, but we'll be back later" Ash says with Delia nodding as she along with Mr. Mime wave the group goodbye. Once the 4 kids leave Raichu along with Incineroar, Lycanroc, Decidueye, Meowscarada, Lucario, Greninja, and Melmetal follow them as they all begin heading for the lab. Delia, along with Mr. Mime, see them run towards the lab until they can't see them anymore. Then once they're gone suddenly someone appears in front of Delia's house as Delia looks at the person and smiles with the person smiling back. We now cut over to the group who're still heading for Oak's lab as Brock looks at the 8-mons following them and speaks.
"I have to say Ash seeing that Incineroar, Meowscarada, Decidueye, Lucario, and Greninja had fully evolved really surprised me. But the one that surprised me the most was Melmetal as I didn't know that Meltan could evolve." Brock says as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, I was surprised too but I'm happy that it happened because it's grown a lot stronger." Ash says with Brock nodding as Ash speaks.
"But not only them but more of my other Pokémon evolved too." Ash says as Misty speaks.
"So, did mine" Misty says as Brock looks at Togetic and speaks.
"Yes, I can see that Togepi evolved into a Togetic, and I heard that you actually caught him?" Brock asks with Misty nodding as Brock speaks.
"Well, you guys weren't the only ones who have had their Pokémon evolve as some of mine have too." Brock says making Ash along with Misty excited as Ash speaks.
"That's great to hear I can't wait to see them." Ash says with Misty thinking the same thing as Tracey speaks.
"We're almost there!" Tracey says happily causing the others to look forward as they see the lab coming into view Ash speaks.
"All right we're almost there" Ash says as he along with the others continue to run. A couple minutes later the group make it to the lab and head inside. Once they're inside Tracey speaks.
"So, this is Prof. Oak's lab" Tracey says while looking around as he smiles and speaks.
"It's perfect!" Tracey says as he continues to look around, they then hear a voice.
"Who's there?" The voice says as suddenly Leaf (who's now in her original clothes) along with Oak and Daisy appear. When they do, they look over at the group as Ash speaks.
"Hey Prof. Oak, Daisy and Leaf." Ash says as the two adults and Leaf look at Ash as Oak speaks.
"Why if it isn't Ash, Misty, Tracey and" When Oak looks over at Brock he along with Leaf and Daisy get surprised looks on their faces as they speak.
"It's Brock!" The 3 of them say as Brock speaks.
"Hello" Brock says as Leaf walks over to him and speaks.
"It's great to see you again Brock but I thought that you'd be staying at Prof. Ivy's?" Leaf says as Brock speaks.
"At first I did want to live there but after thinking about it I realized that I wanted to continue traveling." Brock says with Leaf nodding as Oak speaks.
"Well, it's great to see you again Brock and Prof. Ivy told me that you were a great help to her, her assistants and the Pokémon while staying there." Oak says with Brock nodding. Over with Ash he sees Tracey having a nervous look on his face while looking at Oak then speaks.
"Hey Tracey, didn't you want to show Prof. Oak something?" Ash asks as the old man looks over at Tracey and speaks.
"You wanted to show me something?" Oak asks as Tracey speaks.
"Yes, I was wondering if you'd be able to take a look at my sketches along with the different reports, I've made by observing Pokémon." Tracey responds with Oak nodding as he speaks.
"Well in that case I don't mind taking a look" Oak says making Tracey happy as he speaks.
"Really?!" Tracey asks with the old man nodding as Tracey then pulls out his sketch book along with a report that has information on all of the Pokémon that he has observed so far. Prof. Oak sits on the couch and begins looking through them. As he's looking at them, he then smiles and speaks.
"Wow Tracey I must say you've great observations on Pokémon as you go into great detail about their height, weight, habits and are amazing at sketching. The sketches kind of remind me of the ones I used to do back when I was your age." Oak says with Tracey nodding as he speaks.
"Thank you as I've worked very hard on them." Tracey says as Oak speaks.
"Yes, I can tell." Oak says as he continues to look at Tracey's sketches and report we come over to the others who are looking at them as Daisy speaks.
"Looks like my grandpa and Tracey are really hitting it off." Daisy says as Ash speaks.
"I'm happy for Tracey as he's been wanting to meet and interact with Prof. Oak in person for a long time." Ash says with the group nodding as Ash then looks at Daisy and speaks.
"By the way Ms. Daisy how's your research on the GS Ball going?" Ash asks with Brock, Leaf, and Misty wanting to know too. Daisy then speaks.
"We're still doing research on it and still haven't learned anything about it so far." Daisy responds as Misty speaks.
"Looks like it's still going to take a long time to figure out what's inside" Misty says with the group nodding as Ash speaks.
"Oh, and how are my Pokémon doing?" Ash asks as Daisy speaks.
"They're doing great, and they're excited to see you." Daisy responds with Ash nodding as Leaf speaks.
"Let's go see your Pokémon Ash." Leaf says with Ash nodding as he then looks over at Tracey and speaks.
"Hey Tracey, we're going to go see my Pokémon" Ash says as Tracey looks at them and nods as he continues to talk to Prof. Oak. After that Ash along with the others then begin heading out to the ranch. When they make it, they come to the open field and see a lot of Pokémon flying, swimming, running, and sleeping. The group look around as Brock speaks.
"I forgot just how spacious this place is." Brock says with the others agreeing as Ash then pulls out 5 Pokeball's and speaks.
"Alright come out!" Ash says as he throws the 5 balls in the air sending out his Pokémon. When he does Charizard, Dracovish, Pignite, Snorlax and Rhyperior appear. When the 5 mons appear they all have smiles on their faces as they then look over at Incineroar, Lycanroc, Decidueye, Meowscarada, Lucario, Greninja, Melmetal and begin to interact with them with Pikachu, Togetic, and Poliwag joining them. As they're interacting with each other Brock speaks.
"So, you've caught yourself a Pignite, Snorlax, and Rhyperior." Brock says with Ash nodding as Brock continues to speak.
"But Ash, didn't you also have a Lapras? Because I remember seeing you use it during your battle in the Mandarin Island tournament and during the Orange League." Brock asks as Ash speaks.
"The reason as to why Lapras isn't here is because I released her" Ash responds surprising Brock as Misty speaks.
"The reason is because when we first encountered Lapras she was separated from her family and once she reunited with them Ash decided to release her so that she can be with her family again." Misty says with Brock nodding as he speaks.
"I see that does make sense" Brock says as Ash speaks.
"I'll admit I'm still sad that she's gone but I know that I'll see her again one day." Ash says with Brock along with the others nodding as Ash continues.
"Anyway, enough of that as I think now it's time for me to see my other Pokémon." Ash says as he looks over at Pikachu who nods with Ash nodding too as he speaks.
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" Ash calls. Pikachu nods as he sparks his cheeks and fires the electric bolt high in the air causing all of Ash's Pokémon to look at it. Back inside the lab Tracey along with Oak and Daisy notice too as Tracey then leaves to go see what it was. Once Tracey leaves someone enters the room where Oak and Daisy are, which surprises the two adults at first, but they then smile with the other person smiling too. Back to the others a few seconds later Pikachu stops using Thunderbolt as Tracey then suddenly appears and speaks.
"What was that?" Tracey asks as Leaf speaks.
"Ash had his Pikachu use Thunderbolt to summon his other Pokémon that live in the ranch." Leaf responds with Tracey nodding as he looks over at Ash and speaks.
"Do you think that they all saw it?" Tracey asks with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yep, I'm confident that they did." Ash responds as after that everyone then begin to hear Pokémon roaring. The group look forward and see the rest of Ash's Pokémon running/flying over to him with Gyarados, Pidgeot, Clefable, Venusaur, Blastoise, Ninetales, Muk, Gengar, Primeape, and Dragonite in the front. The group continue to see the mons heading for Ash showcasing no signs of stopping making Ash's friends worry as they move away from Ash. Ash along with Pikachu and the 13-mons next to him see the rest of his Pokémon coming as Ash speaks.
"Hey!" Ash says as he begins waving towards them. As Ash Is waving, he then realizes his mistake at calling all of his Pokémon to run over to him. Before Ash can tell them to stop, they all crash into Ash and tackle him into the ground while Pikachu's launched off Ash's shoulder but is safely caught by Dragonite. With Ash his Pokémon are hugging him and nibbling on his head causing Ash to laugh as he speaks.
"Hey guys stop that tickles." Ash says as the mons then get off him allowing for him to stand up. Once he does Dragonite flies over and hands Pikachu back to Ash with Ash saying thank you allowing for the yellow mouse to get back on his shoulder. Ash then looks at all of his Pokémon and speaks.
"You guys look like you're all doing great" Ash says with the mons nodding as Brock speaks.
"Wow Ash not only did you catch some new Pokémon but a lot of them evolved." Brock says with Ash nodding as Misty speaks.
"Ash isn't the only one who's Pokémon have evolved" Misty says as Leaf speaks.
"And he isn't the only one who's captured new Pokémon" Leaf says as she pulls out 6 Pokeball's while Misty pulls out 5. The two girls then throw them high into the air and speak.
"Come out!" The two girls say as for Misty she sends out Slowking, Kingdra, Inteleon, Quaquaval, and Milotic. For Leaf she sends out her Venusaur, shiny Ditto, Shellder, shiny Electabuzz, shiny Abra, and her Nidoqueen. Brock looks over at their Pokémon and speaks.
"Wow looks like you guys got some improvements to your teams too." Brock says with the two girls nodding as he then pulls out 6 Pokeball's and speaks.
"Well now that you guys showed me yours it's time for me to show you mine. Come Out!" Brock says as he throws the 6 balls up in the air sending out his Pokémon. The ones who come out consists of Steelix, Crobat, Garganacl, Croagunk, Sandslash and his Kantonian Vulpix. Ash along with Misty and Leaf look at Brock's Pokémon as Ash speaks.
"Wow so your Onix, Golbat, and Naclstack evolved!" Ash says with Brock nodding as he speaks.
"Yep, before I left Valencia Island Prof. Ivy, and I had a battle where Golbat and Naclstack evolved. Then after the battle was over Prof. Ivy helped my Onix evolve into a Steelix." Brock says with the group nodding as after that the 4 trainers Pokémon then begin to happily interact with each other as Tracey speaks.
"I've never seen this amount of Pokémon of different species interact before I got to make sure I sketch this." Tracey says as he begins to sketch the Pokémon who are interacting with each other while the group continues to watch (Tracey also sends out his Pokémon too and they begin interacting with the other mons as well). Then once the mons are done interacting with each other Ash has his Pokémon gather together with Pikachu joining them as they all look at Ash. They continue to look at the boy as he speaks.
"Hey guys I just wanted to say thank you for your help in winning the Orange League." Ash says making the mons smile as Ash continues to speak.
"But even though we've won the Orange League we can't stop here as there's more regions for us to explore and more leagues for us to compete in so let's keep working together and win them all!" Ash says while raising his left fist high into the air with his Pokémon letting out a loud cheer with Misty, Brock, Leaf, Tracey, and their Pokémon looking at them having smiles on their faces. Then when the cheering is done, they hear a voice.
"So, you were the one making that loud noise." The voice says surprising the group as they look towards their left. When they do Ash, Leaf, Misty, and Brock get surprised looks on their faces and speak.
"It's Gary!" The 4 trainers say in shock while looking at the boy who has a smile on his face as Tracey speaks.
"Wait that's Prof. Oak's Grandson?!" Tracey asks with the group nodding as Leaf speaks.
"Gary!" Leaf says as she quickly runs over to the boy and wraps in a tight hug as she speaks.
"I missed you Gary" Leaf says as Gary speaks.
"Yeah, I missed you too Leaf now will you let go of me? I already got a tight hug from Daisy already." Gary asks with Leaf nodding as she lets go of him. Once she does that Prof. Oak, along with Daisy appear as Ash speaks.
"Gary what are you doing back? Are you done with your training journey?" Ash asks as Gary speaks.
"Not quite as I'm still on my journey and the only reason I came back was to see you" Gary responds as Ash speaks.
"You wanted to see me?" Ash asks with Gary nodding as he speaks.
"Yes, you see I watched your Mandarin Island battle along with your Orange League battles and decided to see how much stronger you've gotten and also to test myself." Gary responds surprising Ash at first as he then smiles and speaks.
"So, it's a battle you want huh? Okay let's do it since we didn't get to finish our battle back in Saffron City and I've also been on a winning streak recently too." Ash says while having a confident look on his face with Gary nodding as they both take their battle positions Tracey speaks.
"Wait they're battling now? Even though they haven't seen each other in a long time?" Tracey says as Oak speaks.
"That's just how they are" Oak says with the others nodding as Brock walks forward and takes the referee spot. Brock then looks over at Gary and speaks.
"Are you okay with me being the referee?" Brock asks as Gary speaks.
"Sure, I don't mind" Gary says with Brock nodding as Ash speaks.
"So, Gary what are the rules?" Ash asks as Gary speaks.
"This is going to be a full 6v6 single battle with substitutions" Gary responds with Ash nodding as Brock speaks.
"This is a full 6v6 single battle between Ash and Gary! Both trainers are allowed to make substitutions and whoever defeats all of their opponents Pokémon first will be declared the winner!" Brock says as Ash speaks.
"Hey Gary, just so you know you're going up against a trainer that has just won the Orange League I hope you don't underestimate me." Ash says as Gary speaks.
"You don't need to worry about that Ash as I wasn't planning on underestimating you." Gary responds as he pulls out his first Pokeball and speaks.
"Tyranitar, come out!" Gary says as he throws the ball forward and sends out his shiny Tyranitar. When the mon appears it lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave showcasing its power. Then when Tyranitar's done roaring it looks forward having a serious look on its face as it waits for its opponent. Off to the side Misty speaks.
"Gary's starting off with his second strongest Pokémon already?" Misty says as Leaf speaks.
"This shows that he's really taking his battle against Ash seriously and is true to his word about not underestimating him." Leaf says with Misty and the others nodding. Over with Ash he looks at Gary's Tyranitar and begins to think.
"So, Tyranitar's his first one and it looks stronger than when I saw it battle before in the Kanto League, but my Pokémon have grown stronger since then too." Ash says to himself as he looks over at Gyarados who nods with Ash nodding too then speaks.
"Gyarados, I choose you!" Ash says as Gyarados immediately jumps on the battlefield. Once Gyarados is on the field he lets out a roar too then looks at Tyranitar with the mon looking back at him. Off to the side Tracey speaks.
"Ash's sending in his Gyarados first based off type alone Gyarados should win." Tracey says as Oak speaks.
"True but as you're probably already aware having the type advantage doesn't always guarantee victory." Oak says with Tracey nodding. Back on the battlefield Gary speaks.
"So, Gyarados's your first one huh? Pretty smart move on your part." Gary says as Ash speaks.
"Thanks, and he's going to take down your Tyranitar!" Ash states with Gyarados agreeing with him while Gary smirks. After that Gyarados along with Tyranitar then get into battle stances as Brock speaks.
"Now that both trainers have sent out their first Pokémon let the battle begin!" Brock says as Ash speaks.
"Let's go Gyarados! Use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls. Gyarados lets out a roar and fires out a large stream of water that heads for Tyranitar as Gary speaks.
"Knock it away with your tail then use Stone Edge!" Gary calls. Tyranitar nods as when the Hydro Pump goes to hit it, Tyranitar spins around and slaps the move with its tail easily getting rid of it. Tyranitar then lets out a roar as it summons multiple sharp stones around itself and sends them at Gyarados as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados get rid of them with Aqua Tail then use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls. Gyarados nods as he covers his tail in water and swings it forward easily getting rid of the sharp stones. Gyarados then fires out a large stream of water that heads for Tyranitar as Gary speaks.
"Tyranitar dodge!" Gary calls. Tyranitar moves to the left and dodges the attack as Ash speaks.
"Now Gyarados use Dragon Dance and Waterfall!" Ash calls. Gyarados lets out a roar as purple draconic energy dances around his body increasing his physical attack and speed. Gyarados then covers his body in water and shoots forward heading for Tyranitar as Gary speaks.
"Block it Tyranitar!" Gary calls. Tyranitar nods as it brings up its arms and blocks Gyarados's attack. Once Gyarados makes contact he begins trying to push Tyranitar back, but the mon is standing its ground as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados now that you're close use Hydro Pump!" Tyranitar use Sandstorm!" Both trainers' call. When Gyarados is about to fire the move Tyranitar lets out a roar and summons a big sandstorm that hits Gyarados in the face causing him to stop. The sandstorm covers the entire battlefield and begins doing damage to Gyarados as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados quick fly up in the air to get out!" Ash calls with Gyarados nodding as he quickly flies upward and manages to get out of the sandstorm. Gary then speaks.
"Tyranitar use Smack Down!" Gary calls. Tyranitar nods as it throws a stone at Gyarados and hits the serpent in the face causing damage. Gyarados then begins falling from the sky and enters the sandstorm again as Gary speaks.
"Now use Rock Polish then Giga Impact!" "Gyarados dodge with Bounce!" Both trainers' call. Tyranitar lets out a roar as it shines brightly and sharply increases its speed. Tyranitar then covers its body in an orange sphere with purple streaks, shoots forward and hits Gyarados before he could use Bounce. Gyarados is sent flying and crashes back on the battlefield a few feet away creating a dust cloud as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados!" Ash calls in worry as when the dust clears Gyarados stands back up showcasing to Ash that he's okay, but he then takes some sandstorm damage as off to the side Oak speaks.
"Gary knew that Ash would have Gyarados fly in the air to avoid the Sandstorm, so he called for Tyranitar to use Smack Down to knock Gyarados out of the air. He also knew that Ash would have Gyarados avoid any of Tyranitar's attacks with Bounce so Gary had Tyranitar use Rock Polish to increase its speed so it could land its hit on Gyarados." Oak says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash begins to think.
"Man, Gary's as skilled as ever but I know that Gyarados can take down his Tyranitar." Ash says to himself as he looks at Gyarados and speaks.
"Gyarados hang in there!" Ash says with the sea serpent nodding as Gary speaks.
"Tyranitar let's keep up the pressure! Use Hyper Beam!" Gary calls. Tyranitar lets out a roar and fires out a large orange beam that heads for Gyarados as Ash speaks.
"Counter with your Hyper Beam!" Ash calls. Gyarados roars as he fires out his own Hyper Beam that collides with Tyranitar's creating an explosion. Gyarados then takes some sandstorm damage as out of the explosion appears Tyranitar who has its teeth ready as Gary speaks.
"Use Thunder Fang!" "Gyarados dodge then use Hydro Pump!" Both trainers' call. Tyranitar covers its teeth in electricity and goes to bite Gyarados but the sea serpent quickly moves to the left dodging the attack. Gyarados is now on Tyranitar's right side and fires out a large stream of water from his mouth as Gary speaks.
"Knock it away with your tail then use Thunder Fang!" Gary calls. Tyranitar easily knocks away the Hydro Pump with its tail then covers its teeth in electricity and bites down hard on Gyarados shocking the mon. Gyarados is crying out in pain and is taking sandstorm damage as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados wrap your body around Tyranitar and use Bounce!" Ash calls. As Tyranitar continues to shock Gyarados the sea serpent fights through the pain and manages to wrap his body around Tyranitar. Gyarados then covers his body in blue flying energy and shoots high into the air taking Tyranitar with him and getting out of the sandstorm. Gyarados continues to climb higher and higher as Ash speaks.
"Now Gyarados use Bounce Toss and speed yourself up with Bounce!" "Tyranitar break out of there!" Both trainers' call. Before Tyranitar can try to break free Gyarados glows an intense blue and descends at a fast speed. Gyarados then slams Tyranitar back on the ground causing it to shake and create a dust cloud as Gyarados goes back to Ash's side of the battlefield. When the dust clears it showcases Tyranitar laying on its stomach but then stands back up as Gary speaks.
"Tyranitar use Stone Edge!" "Gyarados blow it away with Hydro Pump then use Hurricane!" Both trainers' call. Tyranitar lets out a roar and sends out multiple sharp stones that head for Gyarados. Gyarados quickly fires out a large stream of water that easily destroys the sharp stones and hits Tyranitar causing damage to it. After that Gyarados takes some sandstorm damage then lets out a roar summoning a large Hurricane that heads for Tyranitar as Gary speaks.
"Tyranitar block!" Gary calls. Tyranitar quickly brings up its arms and begins to block the attack as the Hurricane consumes it. Inside the Hurricane Tyranitar groans a little in pain but holds on strong until the move goes away. Once the Hurricane is gone Tyranitar along with Gary can see that the sandstorm is now gone, they both have surprised looks on their faces while Ash smiles. Off to the side Tracey speaks.
"I see so Ash calling for Hurricane wasn't just to have it do damage to Tyranitar but also get rid of the Sandstorm." Tracey says with the group nodding as back on the battlefield Ash speaks.
"Okay Gyarados now use Earthquake!" Ash calls. Gyarados lets out a roar as he slams his tail on the ground causing it to shake as Gary speaks.
"Counter with your Earthquake!" Gary calls. Tyranitar roars and summons its own Earthquake that connects with Gyarados's causing both moves to cancel each other out. Ash then calls for his next command.
"Gyarados use Bounce!" Ash calls. Gyarados glows blue, shoots forward and hits Tyranitar causing damage to the mon as Gary speaks.
"Use Thunder Fang!" "Gyarados dodge then use Aqua Tail!" Both trainers' call. Tyranitar covers its teeth in electricity and goes to bite Gyarados, but the sea serpent dodges the attack by moving to the right. Gyarados then covers his tail in water and slaps Tyranitar hard across the face causing super effective damage to the mon as Gary speaks.
"Use Iron Head!" Gary calls. Tyranitar covers its head in steel energy and headbutts Gyarados causing damage to him as Ash speaks.
"Hit it back with Waterfall!" Ash calls. Gyarados covers his body in water and hits Tyranitar causing super effective damage to the mon. Tyranitar groans in pain then looks at Gyarados with Gyarados looking at it as their trainers speak.
"Use Hyper Beam!" Both boys call as Gyarados and Tyranitar roar firing out the orange beams that collide with each other creating an explosion. Out of the explosion appears the two mons who are sent sliding a few feet away from each other but then stop themselves as Gary speaks.
"Tyranitar use Dragon Dance then Giga Impact!" Gary calls. Tyranitar lets out a roar as purple draconic energy dances around it increasing its physical attack and speed. Tyranitar then covers its body in an orange sphere with purple streaks and shoots forward heading for Gyarados as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados use Dragon Dance then Waterfall!" Ash calls. Gyarados lets out a roar as he spins increasing his physical attack and speed. Gyarados then covers his body in water and shoots forward colliding with Tyranitar. When the two mons collide, they create a big shockwave along with a strong gust of wind that everyone can feel. The two mons begin trying to push each other back and forth with Tyranitar slowly winning as Gary speaks.
"That's it Tyranitar! Keep going!" Gary calls with the mon nodding as it continues to push Gyarados back Ash speaks.
"Don't give up Gyarados!" Ash cheers along with his other Pokémon. Gyarados hears their cheers and lets out a roar increasing the power of his Waterfall and slowly pushing Tyranitar back. Gyarados continues to push more and more until he manages to destroy Tyranitar's Giga Impact and hit the mon. Gary has a surprised look on his face as Ash speaks.
"Great job Gyarados! Now use Hydro Pump!" "Tyranitar dodge!" Both trainers' call. Unfortunately for Gary Tyranitar's unable to dodge in time as Gyarados lets out a roar and fires out a large stream of water from his mouth that consumes Tyranitar. Tyranitar cries out in pain as it's sent crashing down on the battlefield a few feet away. When the Hydro Pump disappears, everyone can see Tyranitar laying on its back, it tries to stand back up but ultimately stays down as Brock makes the call.
"Tyranitar's unable to battle Gyarados's the winner!" Brock calls as Ash speaks.
"Alright!" Ash cheers along with his other Pokémon as Gyarados roars in victory. Off to the side Misty speaks.
"Ash's Gyarados did it he took down Tyranitar!" Misty along with her Pokémon, Leaf and Leaf's Pokémon cheer as Tracey speaks.
"Wow that was a pretty intense battle." Tracey says as Oak speaks.
"Indeed, any longer and Ash's Gyarados might've been the one to lose instead." Oak says with Tracey and Daisy agreeing with him. Over with Gary he returns Tyranitar back to its Pokeball and tells it thank you. He then puts the ball away as he looks over at Ash and speaks.
"Even though I've watched your Gyarados battle before I've to say battling it is really difficult as it not only has a lot of stamina but power too." Gary says as Ash speaks.
"Thanks, and now that we got the first win we're going to keep winning! Right Gyarados?!" Ash says with the sea serpent nodding as he lets out a roar. Gary then smirks and speaks.
"I see. Well in that case I wonder how you'll deal with this one. Dracozolt, you're next!" Gary says as he throws the ball forward and sends out his Dracozolt. When the mon appears it lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave showcasing its power. Once it's done roaring it looks over at Gyarados and has a serious look on its face with Gyarados having the same look. Ash then speaks.
"So, that's Dracozolt I can feel a lot of power from it and if I remember correctly, it should be an electric/dragon type." Ash says to himself as he then looks at Gyarados and begins to think.
"Gyarados suffered a lot of damage from Tyranitar but after boosting his attack power with Dragon Dance he should be able to take out Dracozolt with Earthquake and Ice Fang. Also, if Dracozolt uses any of its electric type moves Gyarados can easily counter them with Thunder and dodge them with Bounce." Ash says to himself as he looks at Gyarados and speaks.
"Gyarados I'm keeping you in!" Ash says with Gyarados nodding as he gets in a battle stance. Over with Gary he has a smile on his face as Dracozolt also gets into a battle stance too. Brock then calls for the battle to continue as Gary speaks.
"Use Thunder!" Gary calls. Dracozolt covers its body in electricity and lets out a roar firing out an electric bolt that heads for Gyarados as Ash speaks.
"Counter with your Thunder!" Ash calls. Gyarados sparks his body and fires out his own Thunder that collides with Dracozolt's creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados use Earthquake!" Ash calls. Gyarados lets out a roar and slams his tail on the battlefield causing it to shake as Gary speaks.
"Use Protect then Dragon Pulse!" Gary calls. Dracozolt summons a protective barrier and blocks the Earthquake. Then when the Earthquake along with the protective barrier go away Dracozolt covers its mouth in purple draconic energy and fires out a large dragon beam as Ash speaks.
"Counter with Hydro Pump!" Ash calls. Gyarados lets out a roar and fires out a big stream of water that collides with the dragon beam creating an explosion as Gary speaks.
"Now use Dragon Rush!" Gary calls. Out of the smoke appears Dracozolt who has its body covered in dragon energy and hits Gyarados hard in the face causing damage to him. Gyarados groans a little in pain then looks at Dracozolt as Ash speaks.
"Now use Ice Fang!" "Dracozolt use Thunder Wave!" Both trainers' call. Gyarados covers his teeth in ice and goes to bite Dracozolt, but the mon lets out a roar sending out 5 electric rings that connect with Gyarados and paralyze him. Gyarados groans from the paralysis while Dracozolt lands on the ground and begins to spark its body as Gary speaks.
"Use Discharge!" Gary calls. Dracozolt lets out a roar and sends out multiple bolts of electricity that head for Gyarados as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados use Hyper Beam to blow it away!" Ash calls with the sea serpent nodding as he roars and fires out a large orange beam that easily cuts through the Discharge and heads for Dracozolt as Gary speaks.
"Dracozolt dodge then use Bolt Beak!" Gary calls with Dracozolt nodding as it quickly jumps to the left and avoids the Hyper Beam allowing for the move to hit the ground instead. Dracozolt then lets out a mighty roar as it covers its body in electricity and shoots forward heading for Gyarados as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados dodge!" Ash calls but when Gyarados tries to dodge he can't because of the paralysis. Ash has a surprised look on his face as a couple seconds later Dracozolt makes contact with Gyarados, creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Gyarados!" Ash calls in worry as out of the smoke appears Dracozolt who's sent sliding back a few feet away and looks forward waiting to see the results. When the smoke clears everyone can see Gyarados lying on his right side and is knocked out. Brock then makes the call.
"Gyarados is unable to battle Dracozolt's the winner!" Brock calls allowing for Gary to smile while Dracozolt roars in victory. Off to the side Misty speaks.
"Ash's Gyarados lost" Misty says as Leaf speaks.
"And what was that move?" Leaf asks with Misty and Tracey wondering the same as Oak speaks.
"That move is called Bolt Beak it's the signature move of Gary's Dracozolt and is very powerful when Dracozolt attacks first." Oak responds as Tracey speaks.
"So, when Gary had Dracozolt use Thunder Wave on Gyarados it was to slow him down for Dracozolt to land the attack?" Tracey asks with Oak nodding as he speaks.
"Yes, and since Gyarados became slow Dracozolt's Bolt Beak attack doubled in power resulting in Gyarados to be knocked out." Oak says as Daisy speaks.
"That was also the move that took out my Aerodactyl when Gary and I had our training battle." Daisy says with the three kids nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Ash along with Pikachu walk over to Gyarados and when they get close to the mon Ash bends down. Gyarados opens his eyes and looks at them as Ash speaks.
"Hey Gyarados, are you okay?" Ash asks with the sea serpent nodding as he tells Ash sorry that he lost as Ash speaks.
"It's okay Gyarados you did great, just take a good rest and leave the rest to us." Ash says with Pikachu agreeing with him. Gyarados looks at them and nods as he stands back up and goes back to standing next to Ash's other Pokémon who tell Gyarados good job with the sea serpent nodding. After that Ash along with Pikachu go back to their side of the battlefield as Ash begins to think.
"Gary's Dracozolt is really strong I could send in one of my dragon or ground type Pokémon but knowing Gary he might either switch or maybe Dracozolt has moves that can take them down. Also, it seems like Dracozolt has a very high physical attack power, so I'll need to use a Pokémon with very high physical defense, and I know just the one." Ash says to himself as he looks over at Melmetal and speaks.
"Melmetal, I choose you!" Ash says with the mon nodding as it walks on the battlefield and looks at Dracozolt with the mon looking at it. Gary then speaks.
"Melmetal's your next one huh? I saw you use it in the Orange League, and it looked strong." Gary says as Ash speaks.
"You're right about that and they're going to take down your Dracozolt!" Ash states with Melmetal agreeing as it along with Dracozolt get into battle stances. Brock calls for the battle to continue as Gary speaks.
"Use Thunder!" Gary calls. Dracozolt lets out a roar and fires a large electric bolt at Melmetal as Ash speaks.
"Counter with Flash Cannon!" Ash calls with Melmetal nodding as it fires the steel beam causing it to collide with the Thunder creating an explosion as Gary speaks.
"Use Bolt Beak!" Gary calls. Out of the smoke appears Dracozolt who has its body covered in electricity and hits Melmetal causing damage to the mon. Melmetal groans in pain but then looks at Dracozolt as Ash speaks.
"Use Dynamic Punch!" Ash calls. Melmetal's left fist glows and punches Dracozolt sending the mon flying as it crashes back on the battlefield creating a dust cloud as Gary speaks.
"Dracozolt!" Gary calls in worry as when the dust clears Dracozolt's laying on its left side but then stands back up. Dracozolt groans in pain but can still battle as Gary begins to think.
"Even though Dracozolt landed its Bolt Beak it looks like it didn't do much to Melmetal meaning that its physical defense power is very high. Also, that one Dynamic Punch did a lot of damage to Dracozolt I need to watch out for that." Gary says to himself as he looks forward Ash speaks.
"Let's keep going Melmetal! Use Double Iron Bash!" Ash calls. Melmetal nods as it spins fast then extends its arms forward going to hit Dracozolt as Gary speaks.
"Dracozolt dodge then use Thunder Wave!" Gary calls. Dracozolt jumps to the left and avoids Melmetal's arms. Once Dracozolt lands it lets out a roar sending out 5 rings of electricity that head for Melmetal as Ash speaks.
"Melmetal use Protect!" Ash calls. Melmetal quickly retracts its arms and summons a protective barrier blocking the attack. Then when the barrier goes down Gary speaks.
"Use Dragon Pulse!" Gary calls. Dracozolt lets out a roar and fires out a large dragon beam that heads for Melmetal as Ash speaks.
"Melmetal knock it away!" Ash calls. Melmetal nods as it swings out its left arm and easily knocks the dragon beam away. When that happens, Dracozolt suddenly appears in front of Melmetal as Gary speaks.
"Use High Horsepower!" Gary calls. Before Ash can call for a command Dracozolt gains an orange outline and hits Melmetal causing super effective damage to the mon as Ash speaks.
"Hit it back with Brick Break!" Ash calls. Melmetal's right hand glows white and chops down hard on Dracozolt's head causing the mon to crash face first on the ground. Dracozolt groans in pain as Ash speaks.
"Use Dynamic Punch!" Ash calls. Melmetal's left fist glows and goes to punch Dracozolt as Gary speaks.
"Use Flamethrower!" Gary calls surprising Ash as Dracozolt roars and fires out a big stream of fire from its mouth burning Melmetal. Inside the stream of fire Melmetal's groaning in pain as Ash speaks.
"Melmetal!" Ash calls in worry as when the Flamethrower goes away, we see Melmetal walk a couple feet back groaning in pain as Gary speaks.
"Good now use High Horsepower!" Gary calls. Dracozolt lets out a roar as it gains an orange outline and jumps forward going to hit Melmetal as Ash speaks.
"Quick use Protect!" Ash calls. Melmetal quickly summons a protective barrier and blocks Dracozolt's attack as Ash speaks.
"Now use Dynamic Punch!" "Dracozolt use Protect!" Both trainers' call. Melmetal goes to punch Dracozolt with its right fist, but Dracozolt quickly summons a protective barrier and blocks the attack bouncing Melmetal's fist away. Dracozolt then opens its mouth as Gary speaks.
"Use Flamethrower!" "Melmetal quick use Substitute then Double Iron Bash!" Both trainers' call. When Dracozolt fires out the large stream of fire Melmetal summons a clone of himself in his place letting it take the attack instead. Melmetal now appears on Dracozolt's right side, quickly spins and shoots both of his arms forward hitting Dracozolt as Ash speaks.
"Now use Flash Cannon!" "Dracozolt dodge!" Both trainers' call. Unfortunately for Gary Dracozolt's unable to dodge in time as Melmetal fires out the steel beam that consumes Dracozolt and sends it flying. Dracozolt crashes back on the ground a few feet away as Gary speaks.
"Dracozolt!" Gary calls in worry as when the dust clears everyone can see Dracozolt lying on its back knocked out. Brock then makes the call.
"Dracozolt's unable to battle Melmetal's the winner!" Brock calls allowing for Ash and his Pokémon to cheer as Melmetal flexes his muscles in victory. Off to the side Misty along with Togetic, Poliwag, Leaf and their Pokémon cheer too as they speak.
"Melmetal did it!" The two girls say happily as Oak speaks.
"Ash knew that Gary was going to have Dracozolt use Flamethrower again so he quickly called for Substitute allowing for Melmetal to dodge so it could hit Dracozolt with Double Iron Bash and finish it off with Flash Cannon." Oak says with Tracey and Daisy nodding. Back on the battlefield Gary returns Dracozolt back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. He then puts the ball away as Ash speaks.
"So, Gary what do you think of my Melmetal?" Ash asks as Gary speaks.
"I'll admit it really is strong, but I expect that from a mythical Pokémon so it's not too surprising." Gary responds with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yep, and now we just need to defeat your last 4 Pokémon, and we'll win!" Ash states with Melmetal agreeing with him as Gary smirks and speaks.
"I like your confidence Ash, but you should know that my last 4 aren't going to be easy to beat. Now! Zoroark, come out!" Gary says as he throws the ball forward and sends the mon out. Once it appears it's a white bipedal Pokémon with some spots of red on its body and in its wavy hair. The mon has its eyes closed but then a couple seconds later it opens them and lets out a mighty roar. Then once it's done roaring it looks forward looking at Melmetal. Ash along with everyone else all have surprised looks on their faces as Misty speaks.
"What is that?" Misty asks as Daisy speaks.
"It's called a Zoroark" Daisy responds as Tracey speaks.
"But I've never seen a Zoroark look like that before" Tracey says as Oak speaks.
"That's because it's Zoroark's Hisuian form." Oak responds with the group nodding as Ash along with Leaf pull out their Pokedex's to scan the mon.
"Zoroark Hisuian Form the Baneful Fox Pokémon and a Normal/Ghost type. With its disheveled white fur, it looks like an embodiment of death. Heedless of its own safety, Zoroark attacks its nemeses with a bitter energy so intense, it lacerates Zoroark's own body." The Pokedex says as Ash along with his Pokémon look at the mon and can feel that it has a lot of power as Gary speaks.
"This is Zoroark. While traveling in the Johto region I found him when he was a Zorua and captured him. After joining my team he's proven to be one of my strongest Pokémon." Gary says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Well, it doesn't matter how strong it is as Melmetal will take it down!" Ash states with Melmetal agreeing with him as it along with Zoroark get into battle stances. Brock calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.
"Use Flash Cannon!" Ash calls. Melmetal fires out the steel beam that goes to hit Zoroark as Gary speaks.
"Dodge then run forward!" Gary calls. Zoroark nods as it moves to the left, easily dodging the steel beam and begins running forward heading for Melmetal as Ash speaks.
"Use Double Iron Bash!" Ash calls. Melmetal spins fast and shoots its arms forward as Gary speaks.
"Jump to dodge then use Nasty Plot!" Gary calls. Zoroark quickly jumps in the air dodging Melmetal's attack and sharply increases its special attack power. Zoroark then begins falling towards Melmetal as Gary speaks.
"Use Shadow Ball!" Gary calls. Zoroark summons a big ball of ghostly energy and throws it at Melmetal as Ash speaks.
"Melmetal use Flash Cannon!" Ash calls. Melmetal fires out the steel beam that collides with the Shadow Ball and begins to push it back as Gary speaks.
"Use Shadow Ball again!" Gary calls. Zoroark throws another Shadow Ball forward that combines with the old one making it bigger as it begins to push the Flash Cannon back Ash speaks.
"Don't let it beat you Melmetal!" Ash calls. Melmetal nods and increases the power of its Flash Cannon as a couple seconds later the beam along with the Shadow Ball explode. Out of the explosion appears Zoroark who lands in front of Melmetal as Ash speaks.
"Melmetal quick use Thunder Punch!" "Zoroark dodge then use Bitter Malice!" Both trainers' call. Melmetal quickly covers both of its fists in electricity and goes to hit Zoroark, but Zoroark easily dodges both fists by jumping back. Zoroark lands a couple feet away then lets out a mighty roar and sends out ghostly energy that connects with Melmetal not only causing damage but is also lowering its physical attack power as Gary speaks.
"Now use Nasty Plot again then Shadow Ball!" Gary calls. Zoroark continues to roar as it sharply increases its special attack power then creates a big ghostly ball and throws it forward as Ash speaks.
"Melmetal quick dodge with Substitute!" Ash calls but unfortunately for him Melmetal can't dodge in time as the Shadow Ball consumes it. Inside the ghostly ball Melmetal's crying out in pain as a few seconds later there's then an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Melmetal!" Ash calls in worry as when the smoke clears everyone can see Melmetal still standing. Ash has a smile on his face, but it quickly disappears once Melmetal falls on its back and is knocked out. Brock then makes the call. Melmetal's unable to battle Zoroark's the winner!" Brock calls allowing for Gary to smile while Zoroark roars in victory. Off to the side Misty speaks.
"Melmetal lost" Misty says as Leaf speaks.
"And what's Bitter Malice?" Leaf asks as Daisy speaks.
"Bitter Malice is a move that only Hisuian Zoroark can use where it unleashes a powerful ghost attack on the target and can also lower its physical attack power." Daisy says with the group nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield we see Ash along with Pikachu over where Melmetal is. Melmetal looks at them saying sorry as Ash speaks.
"It's okay Melmetal you did your best" Ash says with the mon nodding as it stands back up and stands next to Ash's other Pokémon who tell it good job too. Ash along with Pikachu then make it back to their side of the battlefield as Ash looks forward and speaks.
"This Zoroark is very fast and has raised its special attack power with Nasty Plot. It was mostly dodging Melmetal's attacks meaning that its physical defense is low so I need to use a Pokémon that's both fast and can land super effective damage on Zoroark." Ash says to himself and looks at his Pokémon and is about to make a choice until one of them speaks.
"Scyther!" The voice says making Ash look at Scyther as he immediately flies on the battlefield Ash speaks.
"Are you saying that you want to battle next Scyther?" Ash asks with the mantis nodding with Ash nodding too as he speaks.
"Okay I'm counting on you" Ash says with the mantis nodding as he gets in a battle stance with Zoroark getting in one too. Brock then calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.
"Use Air Slash!" Ash calls. Scyther's scythes glow in blue flying energy and begins swinging them sending out multiple slashes of wind towards Zoroark as Gary speaks.
"Blow them away with Shadow Ball!" Gary calls. Zoroark nods as it creates a big ball of ghostly energy and throws it forward. The Shadow Ball easily consumes the slashes of wind and heads for Scyther as Ash speaks.
"Scyther use Swords Dance then use Night Slash!" Ash calls. Scyther sharply increases his physical attack power then covers his scythes in dark energy and slices the Shadow Ball easily destroying it. Once Scyther does that Zoroark suddenly appears in front of him as Gary speaks.
"Use Bitter Malice!" "Scyther dodge with Double Team!" Both trainers' call. When Zoroark fires its move Scyther quickly creates multiple clones of himself and dodges the attack. Scyther along with his clones now surround Zoroark as Ash speaks.
"Use Night Slash!" Zoroark use Detect to dodge!" Both trainers' call. Scyther along with his clones cover their scythes in dark energy and shoot forward going to hit Zoroark. Zoroark sees them coming as its right eye glows and begins to easily evade all of them. As Zoroark continues to dodge it then jumps in the air with Scyther along with his clones going after Zoroark as Gary speaks.
"Use Giga Impact!" Gary calls. Zoroark lets out a roar as it covers its body in an orange sphere with purple streaks and shoots downward. Zoroark's easily destroys Scyther's clones and is now heading for the real one as Ash speaks.
"Scyther block!" Ash calls. Scyther quickly brings up his scythes as Zoroark connects causing both mons to crash on the battlefield, creating an explosion. Out of the cloud of smoke we see Scyther along with Zoroark sliding away from each other. Scyther manages to stop himself and begins flying forward as Ash speaks.
"Use Swords Dance then Fury Cutter!" Ash calls. Scyther sharply increases his physical attack power again, covers his scythes in red bug energy and goes to hit Zoroark as Gary speaks.
"Use Detect to dodge then Sludge Bomb!" Gary calls. When Scyther goes to hit Zoroark with his right scythe, Zoroark's left eye glows and jumps in the air dodging Scyther's attack. Zoroark then takes a deep breath and begins firing out multiple poison bombs at Scyther as Ash speaks.
"Scyther back away!" Ash calls. Scyther nods as he sees the poison bombs coming and quickly flies back avoiding them. Zoroark then lands back on the ground as Gary speaks.
"Use Nasty Plot then Shadow Ball!" Gary calls. Zoroark roars as it sharply increases its special attack power again and creates a big Shadow Ball. Zoroark then throws it forward as Ash speaks.
"That won't stop us! Scyther cut it with Night Slash then use Air Slash!" Ash calls. Scyther quickly covers his scythes in dark energy and easily cuts the Shadow Ball in half. Scyther's scythes then glow and fires multiple slashes of wind at Zoroark as Gary speaks.
"Zoroark use Detect to dodge!" Gary calls with Zoroark nodding as when it goes to use Detect it sees the slashes of wind hitting the ground around it instead creating a cloud of smoke. Gary has a surprised look on his face as inside the smoke Zoroark looks around as suddenly Scyther appears and has his scythes ready as Ash speaks.
"This is the end! Scyther use Swords Dance then Night Slash!" Ash calls. Scyther lets out a loud "SCY!" as he sharply increases his physical attack power to the max, covers his scythes in dark energy and goes to hit Zoroark with his right scythe as Gary speaks.
"Use Hyper Voice!" Gary calls surprising Ash as Zoroark roars letting out a loud noise that hurts Scyther's ears causing him to stop in his tracks as Gary smiles and speaks.
"Good now use Burning Jealousy!" "Scyther quick use Double Team!" Both trainers' call. Unfortunately for Ash Scyther can't dodge in time as Zoroark continues to roar and summons a wave of fire that consumes Scyther. Inside the fire Scyther's crying out in pain as Ash speaks.
"Scyther!" Ash calls in worry as a few seconds later the flames go away, and we see Scyther with burn marks all over his body. Scyther looks at Zoroark one more time then closes his eyes as he then falls on his back and is knocked out. Brock then makes the call.
"Scyther's unable to battle Zoroark's the winner!" Brock calls allowing for Gary and Zoroark to smile. Ash along with Pikachu and the rest of his Pokémon all have surprised looks on their faces as off to the side Misty speaks.
"Scyther lost and neither him nor Melmetal landed a hit on Zoroark." Misty says as Leaf speaks.
"Gary really trained it well." Leaf says with the group nodding as back on the battlefield we see Ash along with Pikachu over with Scyther. The mantis looks at Ash and Pikachu telling them sorry as Ash speaks.
"It's okay Scyther Zoroark was just too much for you, but I know that next time you'll win." Ash says with Pikachu agreeing with him. Scyther nods then goes back over to the rest of Ash's Pokémon who tell Scyther good job with the mantis nodding. Ash along with Pikachu then go back over to their side of the battlefield and when they make it Ash sees Gary return Zoroark back to its Pokeball as Ash speaks.
"You're returning your Zoroark?" Ash asks with Gary nodding as he speaks.
"Yeah, I want to give him a break for now and I'm going to use this one instead." Gary responds as he pulls out his next Pokeball and speaks.
"Umbreon, come out!" Gary says as he throws the ball forward and sends out a shiny Umbreon. When the mon appears, it has a serious look on his face as off to the side Misty speaks.
"Gary's next Pokémon is a shiny Umbreon." Misty says with the group nodding as back on the battlefield Ash speaks.
"So, you caught a shiny Umbreon?" Ash asks with Gary nodding as he speaks.
"That's right and also I caught Umbreon and Zoroark at the same time when they were an Eevee and Zorua." Gary responds with Ash nodding as he looks at Umbreon and begins to think.
"Just by looking at Umbreon I can tell that it's strong and won't be easy to knock out." Ash says to himself as he looks at Pikachu with the yellow mouse nodding as he's sparking his cheeks with Ash nodding too as he looks forward and speaks.
"Pikachu, I choose you!" Ash says as Pikachu immediately jumps on the battlefield and looks at Umbreon with Umbreon looking at him. Gary has a surprised look on his face and speaks.
"You're using Pikachu already huh? And here I thought that you would've saved him for last." Gary says as Ash speaks.
"That was my original plan, but I get the feeling that Pikachu's my best bet at taking down Umbreon so that's why I'm sending him in now." Ash responds with Gary nodding as he speaks.
"Looks like you're finally using your head Ashy Boy." Gary says in a joking manner as Ash speaks.
"You won't be joking after I beat you!" Ash states while having a serious look on his face with Gary smirking as he then gets serious too. The two mons then get into battle stances waiting for the battle to start as Brock speaks.
"Let the battle continue!" Brock calls as Ash speaks.
"Let's go Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" Ash calls. Pikachu sparks his body and fires out an electric bolt that heads for Umbreon as Gary speaks.
"Dodge then use Quick Attack!" Gary calls. Umbreon quickly jumps to the left avoiding the electric bolt. Umbreon then shoots forward going to hit Pikachu as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Double Team to dodge then use Nasty Plot and Thunder times 6!" Ash calls. Pikachu nods as he quickly creates multiple clones of himself, dodging Umbreon's attack and letting it hit one of the clones instead. Pikachu along with his clones sharply increase their special attack power, jump in the air then fire out 6 large Thunders that head for Umbreon as Gary speaks.
"Use Dig then Quick Attack!" Gary calls. Umbreon nods as it quickly digs underground avoiding the Thunders as they hit the battlefield instead creating an explosion. A couple seconds later Umbreon shoots out of the ground and hits the real Pikachu causing damage to him. Umbreon then gets its tail ready as Gary speaks.
"Use Iron Tail!" "Pikachu use Protect then Thunder times 6!" Both trainers' call. Umbreon covers its tail in steel energy and goes to hit Pikachu, but the yellow mouse quickly summons a protective barrier blocking the attack. Umbreon's tail is bounced away as Pikachu then sparks his cheeks and fires 6 large Thunders at Umbreon that make contact. Umbreon cries out in pain as there's then an explosion, out of the explosion appears Umbreon who falls back on the battlefield landing on its stomach groaning in pain. Pikachu then safely lands on the ground as Ash speaks.
"Okay Pikachu use Wild Charge and boost yourself with Extreme Speed!" Ash calls with Pikachu nodding as he covers his body in electricity and begins running towards Umbreon. Pikachu then boosts himself with Extreme Speed and is about to hit Umbreon as Gary speaks.
"Use Substitute!" Gary calls surprising Ash as Umbreon summons a clone of itself, allowing for it to dodge and causing Pikachu to hit the clone instead. Pikachu then begins looking for the real Umbreon as Gary speaks.
"Use Dig!" Gary calls as suddenly Umbreon appears from out of the ground and hits Pikachu causing super effective damage to him as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu hit Umbreon back with Disarming Voice!" "Umbreon use Toxic!" Both trainers' call. When Pikachu's about to use his move Umbreon spits out a toxic blob from its mouth that hits Pikachu causing the mon to cough as he's now poisoned. Ash has a surprised look on his face as Gary speaks.
"Now use Iron Tail!" "Pikachu use Double Team to dodge!" Both trainers' call. Umbreon covers its tail in steel energy and goes to hit Pikachu. Pikachu's about to use Double Team but can't because of the poison which allows for Umbreon to slam its tail hard onto Pikachu's head causing him to crash face first on the ground creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu!" Ash calls in worry as out of the smoke appears Pikachu who's sent sliding back a few feet away. Once Pikachu stops, he's groaning in pain as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu are you okay?!" Ash asks with the yellow mouse nodding as Gary speaks.
"Now Umbreon use Moonlight!" Gary calls. Umbreon lets out a roar as it summons a moon above itself and heals half of the damage it has taken in the battle so far. Umbreon has a refreshed look on its face as Ash along with Pikachu grit their teeth while Gary smiles. Off to the side Tracey speaks.
"Even though Pikachu landed his attack on Umbreon it ultimately didn't matter as Umbreon healed most of the damage with Moonlight." Tracey says as Oak speaks.
"Yes, and now that Pikachu's been poisoned, he'll gradually be losing health." Oak says with the group nodding as they continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Ash begins to think.
"I knew that Gary's Umbreon was strong, but I wasn't expecting it to already do this much damage to Pikachu. Now that Pikachu's poisoned, I bet Gary's planning on stalling until Pikachu faints to the poison while Umbreon heals itself." Ash says to himself as Gary speaks.
"Looks like you're really in thought Ash I think it's time I break you out of it. Umbreon use Dark Pulse!" Gary calls. Umbreon fires out a stream of dark energy from its mouth that heads for Pikachu as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu dodge!" Ash calls. Pikachu jumps to the left and easily avoids the attack as Gary speaks.
"Use Quick Attack!" Gary calls. Umbreon quickly shoots forward and hits Pikachu causing damage to him as Gary speaks.
"Now use Iron Tail!" "Pikachu quick use Extreme Speed to dodge!" Both trainers' call. Umbreon covers its tail in steel energy and goes to hit Pikachu, but the yellow mouse disappears avoiding the attack as Gary speaks.
"Umbreon use Copycat and go after Pikachu!" Gary calls. Umbreon nods as it copies Pikachu's Extreme Speed and shoots forward at blinding speed instantly reaching the yellow mouse. Ash along with Pikachu have surprised looks on their faces as Gary speaks.
"Now use Iron Tail!" Gary calls. Umbreon covers its tail in steel energy and goes to hit Pikachu as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu quick use Double Team!" Ash calls. Pikachu groans from poison damage but quickly summons multiple copies of himself and dodges Umbreon's attack causing the mon to slam its tail on the ground instead. Umbreon then looks around and sees that it's surrounded by Pikachu along with his clones as Ash speaks.
"Now Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" Ash calls. Pikachu along with his clones fire out the electric bolt that heads for Umbreon as Gary speaks.
"Use Snarl!" Gary calls. Umbreon lets out a roar summoning a big black ring that spreads out and collides with the electric bolt creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Iron Tail!" Ash calls. Out of the smoke appears Pikachu who's jumping forward and goes to hit Umbreon with his tail as Gary speaks.
"Umbreon back away then use Dark Pulse!" Gary calls. Umbreon nods as it quickly jumps back causing Pikachu to slam his tail on the ground. Once Umbreon lands it lets out a mighty roar sending out a stream of dark energy that heads for Pikachu as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu counter with Surf!" Ash calls. Pikachu groans from poison damage but then gains a blue outline and lets out a loud "PIKA!" summoning a big wave of water that easily destroys the Dark Pulse. The Surf is now heading for Umbreon as Gary speaks.
"Use Dig!" Gary calls. Umbreon quickly digs underground and dodges the Surf as the wave crashes on the ground. Over with Pikachu he can feel Umbreon moving underneath him as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu back away and use Nasty Plot then Thunderbolt!" Ash calls. Pikachu nods as he quickly jumps back. Umbreon appears from the ground and misses his attack. Pikachu then lands a few feet away as he sharply increases his special attack power and fires out an electric bolt that heads for Umbreon as Gary speaks.
"Umbreon use Substitute to dodge!" Gary calls. Umbreon quickly summons a clone of itself that takes the hit allowing for the mon to dodge as Ash speaks.
"Now Pikachu use Extreme Speed then Iron Tail!" Ash calls. Pikachu shoots forward at blinding speed and reaches Umbreon. Pikachu groans in poison damage but then covers his tail in steel energy and upper cuts Umbreon lowering its physical defense. Umbreon's then sent high into the air as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu go after Umbreon!" Ash calls. Pikachu nods as he jumps after Umbreon. Up in the air Umbreon sees Pikachu heading for it as Gary speaks.
"Use Snarl!" Gary calls. Umbreon roars as it sends out a big dark ring that heads for Pikachu as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Double Team then Nasty Plot!" Ash calls. Pikachu nods as he quickly summons multiple clones of himself allowing for him to dodge the Snarl as it destroys his clones instead. Pikachu then sharply increases his special attack power again and reaches Umbreon as Ash speaks.
"Great Pikachu now use Thunderbolt!" Ash calls and when Pikachu goes to use the move, he stops because of the poison causing the yellow mouse to cough. This makes Gary smile as he speaks.
"Umbreon hit Pikachu back down with Iron Tail!" Gary calls with Umbreon nodding as it covers its tail in steel energy and goes to hit Pikachu as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Protect!" Ash calls. Pikachu quickly summons a protective barrier and blocks Umbreon's attack causing its tail to be bounced away. Umbreon then looks at Pikachu and sees his cheeks sparking as Ash speaks.
"Now use Thunder times 6!" "Umbreon use Substitute to dodge!" Both trainers' call. Umbreon's unable to use Substitute in time as Pikachu fires out 6 large Thunders that connect with Umbreon and begin to shock it. Umbreon's crying out in pain as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Iron Tail!" Ash calls. Pikachu suffers from poison damage again but then covers his tail in steel energy and slams it hard onto Umbreon's head, sending it crashing down on the battlefield. When the dust clears Umbreon's laying on its stomach groaning in pain and can feel that its physical defense has decreased as Ash speaks.
"We're not done yet! Pikachu use Wild Charge and boost yourself with Extreme Speed!" Ash calls. Pikachu suffers from poison damage but then covers his body in electricity and shoots down heading for Umbreon. Pikachu then boosts his speed with Extreme Speed and is getting closer to Umbreon as Gary speaks.
"There's no way for Umbreon to dodge in time so I'll go with this." Gary says to himself as he calls for his next command.
"Use Mean Look!" Gary calls with Umbreon nodding as it looks at Pikachu and sends out a ghostly figure that wraps around the yellow mouse before disappearing. Pikachu then crashes into Umbreon creating a big explosion along with a strong gust of wind. Then once the wind and smoke are gone everyone looks at the battlefield seeing Pikachu who takes some recoil damage and is panting heavily while looking at an unconscious Umbreon. Brock then makes the call.
"Umbreon's unable to battle Pikachu's the winner!" Brock calls allowing for Ash to smile as he speaks.
"Alright!" Ash cheers along with Pikachu and his other Pokémon. Off to the side Misty along with Leaf and their Pokémon cheer too as Tracey speaks.
"It was tough, but Ash and Pikachu managed to take down Umbreon." Tracey says with Oak and Daisy nodding as Oak speaks.
"Yes, but before Umbreon fainted it used Mean Look on Pikachu meaning that now he can't be switched out." Oak says with Tracey nodding as he along with the others continue to watch the battle. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Pikachu and speaks.
"Great job Pikachu I knew you could do it!" Ash says with Pikachu nodding as he looks back at the boy and smiles. Over on Gary's side of the battlefield he returns Umbreon back to its Pokeball and tells the mon thank you. Gary then puts the ball away as he pulls out another Pokeball and speaks.
"Electivire come out!" Gary says as he throws the ball forward and sends out an Electivire. When the mon appears, it has a serious look on its face as Ash speaks.
"So, his next one's an Electivire" Ash says to himself as he looks at Pikachu and begins to think.
"Pikachu suffered a lot of damage against Umbreon and is still poisoned. Unfortunately, I can't switch him out because of Mean Look but he can still do a lot of damage to Electivire before fainting." Ash says to himself as he looks at Pikachu and speaks.
"Pikachu, I know you're tired but hang in there!" Ash says with Pikachu nodding as he along with Electivire get into battle stances. Brock calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" "Electivire counter with Thunder!" Both trainers' call. Pikachu fires out an electric bolt while Electivire fires out a large Thunder. When the two attacks collide the Thunder easily overpowers the Thunderbolt and is now heading for Pikachu as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu dodge then use Extreme Speed and Iron Tail!" Ash calls Pikachu quickly jumps to the right and easily avoids the electric bolt. Pikachu then shoots forward at blinding speed, covers his tail in steel energy and hits Electivire hard in the face. Electivire groans a little in pain then looks at Pikachu as Gary speaks.
"Use Thunder Punch!" "Pikachu use Double Team to dodge!" Both trainers' call. Electivire covers its right fist in electricity and goes to hit Pikachu, but the yellow mouse creates multiple clones of himself dodging Electivire's attack. Electivire can see that it's now surrounded by Pikachu along with his clones as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Thunder!" Ash calls. Pikachu along with his clones fire the electric bolt as Gary speaks.
"Electivire use Discharge!" Gary calls. Electivire lets out a roar sending out multiple electric bolts that easily destroys Pikachu's clones and collide with the Thunder creating an explosion. Out of the smoke appear Pikachu and Electivire who're sent sliding a few feet away from each other, but then stop as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Extreme Speed and Wild Charge!" Ash calls. Pikachu groans from poison damage but then shoots forward at blinding speed, covers his body in electricity and goes to hit Electivire as Gary speaks.
"Use Protect!" Gary calls. Electivire quickly summons a protective barrier that blocks Pikachu's attack and makes him bounce high into the air. Electivire looks at the air born Pikachu and is sparking its body as Gary speaks.
"Use Thunder!" Gary calls. Electivire nods as it fires out a big electric bolt that heads for Pikachu as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Nasty Plot then Thunder times 6!" Ash calls. Pikachu nods as he manages to readjust himself and sharply increase his special attack power again. Pikachu sparks his cheeks and fires out 6 large Thunders that collide with Electivire's and destroy it. The 6 Thunders head for Electivire and connect with the mon as Ash speaks.
"Alright we landed the hit!" Ash says happily as Gary speaks.
"I wouldn't be celebrating if I were you Ash because you just made a big mistake." Gary says making Ash confused as he looks forward. When the Thunder's disappear Pikachu safely lands back on the battlefield, takes some poison damage and looks at Electivire who isn't moving. A couple seconds later Electivire's body glows in electricity and looks at Pikachu having a smile on its face as Ash speaks.
"What happened?" Ash asks as Gary speaks.
"My Electivire has an ability called Motor Drive that increases its speed whenever he gets hit by an electric type move and also receives no damage." Gary answers as Ash speaks.
"So, that's why." Ash says to himself as off to the side Misty speaks.
"Wait if that's Electivire's ability why didn't Gary have his Electivire get hit by Pikachu's electric attacks sooner?" Misty asks as Oak speaks.
"Gary knew that Ash would boost Pikachu's electric type moves more with Nasty Plot and once he did that allowed for Gary to have Electivire take the hit and now it's speed has increased drastically." Oak says with Misty and the others nodding as they continue to watch. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Electivire then back at Pikachu who's panting heavily and begins to think.
"Pikachu's not going to last much longer I need to end this quickly." Ash says to himself as he looks forward and speaks.
"Pikachu use Disarming Voice!" Ash calls. Pikachu lets out a charming voice that heads for Electivire as Gary speaks.
"Dodge Electivire then use Thunder Punch!" Gary calls. Electivire nods as it moves to the right, easily avoiding the attack then covers its right fist in electricity and shoots forward reaching Pikachu. Electivire goes to hit Pikachu as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Extreme Speed to dodge!" Ash calls. Pikachu dodges to the left, going at a blinding speed as Gary speaks.
"After it Electivire!" Gary calls with the mon nodding as it shoots forward and reaches Pikachu instantly. Ash along with Pikachu have surprised looks on their faces as Gary speaks.
"Now use Close Combat!" Pikachu use Double Team to dodge!" Both trainers' call. When Pikachu goes to use Double Team, he stops because of the poison making him cough. This allows for Electivire to kick Pikachu up with its left leg making him reach Electivire's eye level. Electivire then begins to punch Pikachu repeatedly with each punch doing more damage than the last. Electivire then punches Pikachu one more time with its left fist then gets its right fist ready as Gary speaks.
"Now use Thunder Punch!" "Pikachu dodge!" Both trainers' call. Unfortunately for Ash Pikachu's unable to dodge in time as Electivire covers its right fist in electricity and punches Pikachu hard in the face. Pikachu's sent flying and crashes on the ground in front of Ash as the boy speaks.
"Pikachu!" Ash calls in worry as when the dust clears everyone can see that Pikachu is lying on his back and is knocked out. Ash along with his Pokémon, Misty, Leaf, Tracey and their Pokémon all have surprised looks on their faces as Brock speaks.
"Pikachu's unable to battle Electivire's the winner!" Brock calls allowing for Gary and Electivire to smile. Off to the side Misty speaks.
"I can't believe that Pikachu lost." Misty says as Leaf speaks.
"Unfortunately, there wasn't much Pikachu could've done as he was unable to use electric type moves and was also taking poison damage too making him very weak." Leaf says with Misty nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash still has a surprised look on his face but then quickly recomposes himself as he picks up Pikachu. When he does Pikachu looks at Ash and tells him sorry as Ash speaks.
"It's okay Pikachu you did your best." Ash says with the yellow mouse nodding as Ash then places Pikachu down next to him. Once Ash does that, he then looks over at Electivire and begins to think.
"Now that Electivire's speed has increased I need to use a Pokémon that can take a lot of hits. I could send in one of my ground types or Snorlax, but I don't know what other moves Electivire has and while Snorlax can tank a lot of damage Electivire would still be too fast for him." Ash says to himself as he continues to think, suddenly Primeape jumps on the battlefield. Ash has a surprised look on his face as he looks at Primeape and speaks.
"Are you saying that you want to battle Primeape?" Ash asks with the mon nodding as Ash smiles and speaks.
"Okay Primeape let's do this!" Ash says with the mon nodding as he looks at Electivire and gets in a battle stance with Electivire doing the same. Brock then calls for the battle to continue as Gary speaks.
"Use Thunder!" Gary calls. Electivire immediately fires out a large electric bolt that heads for Primeape as Ash speaks.
"Primeape block then use Bulk Up!" Ash calls. Primeape quickly brings up his arms and blocks the Thunder as there's then an explosion. When the explosion clears, we see that Primeape is still standing as he bulks up his body increasing his physical attack/defense. Suddenly Electivire appears in front of him and has its right fist ready as Gary speaks.
"Use Thunder Punch!" Gary calls. Electivire covers its right fist in electricity and punches Primeape hard across the face causing damage to him. Primeape then looks at Electivire as Ash speaks.
"Use Counter!" Ash calls. Primeape gains an orange outline that goes into his right fist and punches Electivire hard in the stomach. Electivire's sent sliding back a few feet away as Ash speaks.
"Great job Primeape! Now use Rage Fist!" Ash calls. Primeape nods as he begins concentrating ghostly energy into his right fist and punches it forward. Once Primeape does that a ghostly fist appears and heads for Electivire as Gary speaks.
"Dodge Electivire then get in front of Primeape!" Gary calls with Electivire nodding as it easily avoids the Rage Fist then instantly appears in front of Primeape surprising the mon as Ash speaks.
"Primeape use Power-Up Punch!" "Use Screech!" Both trainers' call. Primeape covers his left fist in orange fighting energy and goes to hit Electivire, but the mon lets out a loud screeching sound that stops Primeape. Primeape quickly covers his ears and can feel that his physical defense power has decreased as Gary speaks.
"Now use Thunder Punch and send Primeape high into the air!" Gary calls. Electivire nods as it covers its left fist in electricity and upper cuts Primeape sending him high into the air. Electivire then jumps after Primeape and gets above him as Gary speaks.
"Use Supercell Slam!" Gary calls. Electivire covers its body in electricity and begins falling towards Primeape as Ash speaks.
"Primeape block!" "Electivire use Psychic!" Both trainers' call. As Primeape goes to block Electivire sends out a wave of psychic energy that makes contact with Primeape and stops him from blocking. Primeape's now restrained and sees Electivire getting closer to him as Ash speaks.
"Primeape break out of the Psychic with Night Slash!" "Do it Electivire!" Both trainers' call. Before Primeape can use Night Slash Electivire hits Primeape and slams him back on the battlefield creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Primeape!" Ash calls in worry as when the smoke clears everyone can see Electivire standing while looking at an unconscious Primeape. Brock makes the call.
"Primeape's unable to battle Electivire's the winner!" Brock calls allowing for Gary and Electivire to smile. Off to the side Misty speaks.
"Primeape lost too and only landed one hit on Electivire." Misty says with the others nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash along with Pikachu walk over to Primeape. When they reach him Primeape looks at them and says sorry as Ash speaks.
"It's okay Primeape you did your best Electivire was just too fast and strong." Ash says with Primeape nodding as he stands up and goes to join Ash's other Pokémon who tell him good job. After that Ash along with Pikachu go back to their side of the battlefield. When they make it, Ash sees Gary return Electivire back to its Pokeball as he pulls out another one and speaks.
"Now! Blastoise come out!" Gary says as he throws the ball forward and sends out his Blastoise. When the mon appears, it has a serious look on its face as off to the side Leaf speaks.
"There it is Gary's ace" Leaf says with Misty nodding as she speaks.
"And Ash is now down to his last Pokémon" Misty says with the others nodding as back on the battlefield Ash looks at Blastoise and begins to think.
"So, he sent out Blastoise and just by looking at it I can tell that it's gotten a lot stronger since the Kanto League. I could send in one of my grass or electric types but if I do I know for a fact that Gary will either switch to one of his other Pokémon or he has figured out a way for Blastoise to deal with its type disadvantages. This means that I have to go with you." Ash says to himself as he looks over at Charizard who nods with Ash nodding too as he speaks.
"Charizard, I Choose You!" Ash says as the fire lizard lets out a roar and flies on the battlefield. Once Charizard lands he glares at Blastoise with Blastoise glaring back at him as Gary speaks.
"So, you're using your Charizard." Gary says as Ash speaks.
"Yep, and he's going to take down your Blastoise. Right Charizard?!" Ash says with the fire lizard roaring in agreement making Gary smirk. After that both boys along with their Pokémon get serious looks on their faces as both mons get into battle stances. Brock then speaks.
"Let the battle continue!" Brock calls as Gary speaks.
"Use Hydro Pump!" Gary calls. Blastoise nods as it quickly shoots out two large streams of water from its cannons that combine into one and head for Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Use Thunder Punch!" Ash calls. Charizard covers his left fist in electricity and punches the Hydro Pump. The move slowly starts to overpower Charizard, but the fire lizard lets out a roar and completely destroys it. Gary is a little surprised then quickly recomposes himself and calls for his next command.
"Use Skull Bash!" Gary calls. Blastoise shoots forward and goes to hit Charizard with its head as Ash speaks.
"Charizard block!" Ash calls. Charizard quickly brings up his arms and blocks Blastoise's attack. As Charizard continues to block he sees Blastoise pointing its cannons forward as Gary speaks.
"Use Hydro Pump!" "Keep blocking Charizard!" Both trainers' call. Blastoise shoots out the big stream of water and begins to push Charizard back. Charizard continues to block the move but notices that it's starting to overpower him as Ash speaks.
"Charizard fly in the air to get away from the Hydro Pump then use Air Slash!" Ash calls. Charizard nods as he quickly flies high in the air allowing the Hydro Pump to go past him. Charizard's wings then glow and flaps them forward sending out multiple slashes of wind that heads for Blastoise as Gary speaks.
"Blastoise deflect them with Rapid Spin then use Hydro Pump!" Gary calls. Blastoise nods as it goes into its shell and spins in place easily deflecting the slashes of wind. Once Blastoise gets rid of them it points its cannons upward and shoots out a big stream of water that heads for Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Charizard use Hurricane!" Ash calls. Charizard lets out a mighty roar and summons a big Hurricane that collides with the Hydro Pump. The Hurricane easily gets rid of the Hydro Pump and heads for Blastoise as Gary speaks.
"Use Protect!" Gary calls. Blastoise nods as it summons a protective barrier and blocks the move. Then when the Hurricane along with the Protect go away Charizard appears in front of Blastoise and has his left fist ready as Ash speaks.
"Use Thunder Punch!" Ash calls. Before Gary can call for a command Charizard covers his left fist in electricity and punches Blastoise hard in the face causing super effective damage. Blastoise groans a little in pain then looks at Charizard as Gary speaks.
"Use Waterfall!" Gary calls. Blastoise covers its body in water and hits Charizard causing super effective damage. Charizard's sent flying back as Blastoise points its cannons forward Gary speaks.
"Use Hydro Pump!" "Charizard use Dig!" Both trainers' call. Blastoise fires out a big stream of water that goes to hit Charizard, but the fire lizard quickly digs underground dodging the attack. Charizard doesn't stay underground for long as a couple seconds later he appears from underneath Blastoise and upper cuts the mon with his right fist. Blastoise groans in pain as Gary speaks.
"Use Waterfall!" "Charizard dodge then grab Blastoise!" Both trainers' call. Blastoise covers its body in water and goes to hit Charizard, but the fire lizard quickly moves to the left easily avoiding the attack. Charizard then grabs Blastoise's right arm as Ash speaks.
"Now take Blastoise high into the air and use Seismic Toss!" Ash calls with Charizard nodding as he begins pulling Blastoise high in the air. Charizard climbs higher and higher. Then once he gets high enough, he begins to spin making Blastoise dizzy. Once Charizard stops spinning he throws Blastoise towards the ground causing the mon to crash on the battlefield creating an explosion. When the explosion clears, we see Blastoise laying on its stomach groaning in pain as Charizard lands back on the ground. A couple seconds later Blastoise stands back up, shakes its head and looks at Charizard with Charizard looking at it as Ash speaks.
"Did that not do anything?" Ash asks as Gary speaks.
"Oh, it did but not much." Gary responds with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Okay then let's try this! Charizard use Dragon Pulse!" Ash calls. Charizard lets out a roar and sends out a big dragon beam that heads for Blastoise as Gary speaks.
"Blastoise use Ice Spinner then Skull Bash!" Gary calls surprising Ash as Blastoise goes into its shell covers its body in ice and shoots forward. Blastoise easily goes through the dragon beam then comes out of its shell and hits Charizard hard in the face with its head as Ash speaks.
"Charizard hit Blastoise back with Thunder Punch!" "Blastoise use Protect then Crunch!" Both trainers call. Charizard covers his right fist in electricity and goes to punch Blastoise, but the turtle summons a protective barrier blocking the attack causing Charizard's fist to be bounced away. Blastoise then covers its mouth in dark energy and bites Charizard's left shoulder hard causing damage to the fire lizard as Ash speaks.
"Charizard use Dragon Pulse!" "Rapid Spin Blastoise then use Rain Dance!" Both trainers' call. Just when Charizard's about to use Dragon Pulse Blastoise bites harder onto Charizard's shoulder and begins to spin fast making Charizard spin too as he loses concentration. A couple seconds later Blastoise stops spinning, throws Charizard away and roars to the sky causing it to rain. Charizard then lands a few feet away and sees that it's now raining. Charizard looks over at Blastoise who can now feel that its water type moves have grown stronger Ash speaks.
"Charizard let's get rid of this rain! Use Sunny Day!" Ash calls with Charizard nodding as when he goes to use the move Gary speaks.
"Blastoise use Aqua Jet!" Gary calls. Blastoise nods as it covers its body in water, shoots forward and hits Charizard hard in the stomach causing super effective damage. Charizard groans in pain then looks at Blastoise and sees that the mon has a blue aura around its body Gary speaks.
"Now Blastoise use Hydro Cannon!" Gary calls surprising Ash as he speaks.
"Get out of there Charizard!" Ash calls but was too late as Blastoise fires out a giant stream of water from its cannons that's powered by the Rain Dance and consumes Charizard. Charizard roars in pain and is sent flying a few feet away then crashes on the battlefield creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Charizard!" Ash calls in worry as when the Hydro Cannon and Rain Dance go away everyone sees Charizard lying on his back groaning in pain. Charizard tries to stand back up as he wants to continue battling but he ultimately stays down. Brock makes the call.
"Charizard's unable to battle Blastoise's the winner! Seeing as Ash has no more Pokémon left Gary's the victor!" Brock calls allowing for Gary and Blastoise to smile. Over with Ash he along with his Pokémon have surprised looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"I... Lost…" Ash says to himself as over with Misty, Leaf, Tracey and their Pokémon they have surprised looks too as Leaf speaks.
"Aw Ash lost" Leaf says as Misty speaks.
"But he put up a good fight." Misty says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash along with Pikachu walk over to Charizard, when they make it to the mon Ash bends down and gently lifts up Charizard's head. Charizard looks at them and tells them sorry as Ash speaks.
"It's okay Charizard you along with everyone else did your best" Ash says with Pikachu agreeing with him as Charizard nods. Over with Gary he walks over to Blastoise and speaks.
"Good job Blastoise return" Gary says with the mon nodding as it goes back in its Pokeball. Once it does Gary looks at Ash and speaks.
"Looks like I'm the one who won in the end Ash and I've to say you've definitely gotten a lot stronger, and it was a good battle." Gary says as Ash looks at him and speaks.
"Thanks, and even though you've won today the next time we battle each other my Pokémon and I won't lose!" Ash states with his Pokémon agreeing with him making Gary smirk as Prof. Oak speaks.
"I must say Gary looks like being on your training journey has certainly helped you grow stronger." Oak says with Gary nodding as he speaks.
"Thanks Grandpa and I'm going to keep growing stronger too." Gary says as he then looks at Ash along with everyone else again and speaks.
"Well, it was nice seeing you all again and now I'm going to leave" Gary says and just when he's about to start walking away Leaf speaks.
"Wait!" Leaf says causing Gary to stop as he along with everyone else look at her Gary speaks.
"What is it Leaf?" Gary asks as Leaf speaks.
"Well, it's just that if you're okay with it can I come with you?" Leaf asks while having a slight blush on her face shocking Gary along with everyone else. Gary's shocked expression then goes away as he smiles and speaks.
"Sure, but we're not going to travel together the entire time" Gary says making Leaf happy as she speaks.
"You got it!" Leaf says while having a smile on her face as Misty looks at Leaf and speaks.
"You're really going already Leaf?" Misty asks with Leaf nodding as she speaks.
"Yeah, as much as I would love to spend some more time here in Pallet Town I still want to keep traveling and learn/catch more Pokémon. And going with Gary will help me with that." Leaf responds with the group nodding as Leaf continues to speak.
"Ash, Misty, and Tracey it was fun traveling the Orange Islands with you guys, but this is where we say our goodbyes." Leaf says with the 3 trainers nodding as Misty and Leaf hug each other. When that's done Leaf returns her Pokémon back to their Pokeball's and walks over to Gary. When she gets close to him the two trainers look at each other, having smiles on their faces and are about to walk forward as Ash speaks.
"Gary, wait! Where are you going?!" Ash asks, making Gary stop as he looks back at Ash and speaks.
"I'm heading to the Johto region as that's where I've been doing my training at and I'm planning on competing and winning the Johto League. I currently have two badges so far." Gary responds with Ash nodding as Gary continues to speak.
"Also, Ash If you seriously want to battle me again come to the Johto region and let's battle each other in the finals of the Johto League." Gary says making Ash excited as he speaks.
"Right, you got it." Ash says while having a smile on his face with Gary smiling too. After that Gary along with Leaf say goodbye to everyone and walk away heading for the Johto region. Once they're gone Ash lays on his back and speaks.
"The Johto region huh?" Ash says to himself as he smiles, stands back up and speaks.
"Seeing as Gary is competing there let's head there too. We'll take on the gyms, compete in the league and defeat Gary!" Ash says with his Pokémon agreeing with him as they let out a roar Misty speaks.
"Well since you're going, I'm going too as that's where the Whirl Cup will take place and who knows what kind of trouble you'll get yourself into." Misty says in a joking tone as Ash looks at her and speaks.
"Hey, what do you mean by that?" Ash asks as Brock speaks.
"Even though you two are a couple it seems like you still can't get along without me." Brock says making the two kids look at him as Ash speaks.
"Wait Brock does that mean?" Ash asks as Brock puts his left hand on Ash's shoulder and speaks.
"That's right Ash Brock's back and we're going to head West for new adventures!" Brock says while pointing forward, making Ash excited as Misty speaks.
"I like your enthusiasm Brock, but West is that way" Misty says while pointing in the other direction and making Brock slightly embarrassed as he speaks.
"Well, anyway onward to new adventures!" Brock says as he punches his right fist forward with Ash along with Pikachu doing the same while Misty chuckles and lets out a cheer. Over with Oak, Daisy, and Tracey they all have smiles on their faces watching the 3 kids. After that Ash along with Misty, Brock, and Tracey leave the lab and begin heading back to the Ketchum residence as it's starting to get dark. Raichu, Incineroar, Lycanroc, Decidueye, Meowscarada, Lucario, Greninja, and Melmetal decided to stay at the lab. We come over to the group who have now made it back to the Ketchum residence as Ash grabs the door handle and begins to open the door. Once Ash fully opens the door, he then hears a voice.
"SURPRISE!" The voices say surprising the group as they look forward and see Delia, Red, Mr. Mime, Rose, Sabrina, Anabel, Riley, Yellow, Giselle, Joe, Lola, Flint, Brock's siblings and Misty's siblings. The group all have surprised looks on their faces as Ash looks at Delia and speaks.
"Um mom what's going on?" Ash asks as Delia speaks.
"It's a surprise party" Delia responds as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, I can see that but what is it for?" Ash asks as Rose speaks.
"It's to celebrate your victory at the Orange League" Rose answers as Red walks over to Ash and speaks.
"We all watched your battle against Drake and are proud of you Ash" Red says with the others agreeing making Ash smile as they then here a voice.
"Looks like we made it right on time" the voice says causing the group to look back as they see Oak along with Daisy in casual clothing Red then speaks.
"Now that everyone's here let's begin!" Red says with everyone cheering as they begin to have fun. During the party they play many games, eat a lot of food and also interact with each other. Tracey shows everyone sketches of the adventures that he along with Ash, Misty, and Leaf experienced in the Orange Islands. Brock tries asking out Misty's sisters and Daisy, but Croagunk jabs Brock and Misty grabs Brock's ear pulling him away causing everyone to laugh. Misty tells Rose that Leaf left with Rose saying she knows as Leaf stopped by before she left. Anabel along with Giselle and Joe learn that Ash along with Misty have become a couple. Giselle along with Joe are happy for them as Giselle then begins to tease Misty about when their wedding is as Misty replies that it's too soon for that. Giselle also announces that she along with Joe have become a couple too making Ash along with Misty and Brock happy. Over with Anabel, she's a bit sad and a little jealous that Ash and Misty are a couple since she never got to tell Ash her feelings for him but is overall happy for the both of them. Red along with Riley and Flint begin telling embarrassing stories about Sabrina which makes the woman annoyed as she uses her psychic powers to make the three men begin dancing in their underwear causing everyone to laugh. Tracey asks Red and Prof. Oak if he could draw a sketch of the both of them with the two men nodding as they get into a pose, allowing for Tracey to sketch them. Misty's sister Daisy was impressed by how good Tracey's sketches were and asked him to show her more with Tracey doing so. This causes Misty, Violet, and Lily to tease Daisy which causes the girl to chase after them.
Cutting away from the party we head over to Oak's ranch and see that Ash's Pokémon are having a party of their own. They have a big cake that was made by Delia and Rose and begin to eat it. The band of Blastoise, Krookodile, Rillaboom, Skeledirge and Feraligatr put on a show causing the mons to cheer and dance. Some of Ash's other Pokémon try to sing too those being of Lucario, Gyarados, Tyrantrum, Kingambit, Lycanroc, Incineroar, Hawlucha, Sirfetch'd and Decidueye but fail miserably as they hurt everyone's ears (Meowscarada was a big fan of Incineroar's singing). But that didn't stop the mons from having fun as they continued to enjoy themselves. Back at the party at the Ketchum residence everyone continues to enjoy themselves for a couple more hours until it's time for everyone to leave. Sabrina along with Anabel and Yellow Teleport, everyone that was visiting back to their homes. Ash suggests for Misty, Brock and Tracey to sleep in his room with the 3 kids nodding as they follow Ash while Delia and Red go to their room to rest and Mr. Mime goes in his.
We now cut to Ash's room and see Misty along with Brock and Tracey sleeping on the floor in sleeping bags. Ash tried offering his bed to Misty, but Misty declined, saying that she doesn't mind sleeping on the floor this time with Ash nodding. After that we now see that everyone is fast asleep, as they're sleeping, we come over to Ash who wakes up, looks at Pikachu and speaks.
"Pikachu are you awake?" Ash asks with the yellow mouse nodding as he opens his eyes and looks at the boy Ash speaks.
"You know todays battle against Gary showed me that even though I've won the Orange League my other rivals are out their growing stronger. And it's not just Gary but Paul, Ritchie, Joe, Giselle, AJ, Kiawe, Gladion Harrison, Nemona, Barry, Hau, Cameron, and Rinto. There's also Silver and many other trainers that we haven't met yet. They're all out their right now growing stronger and we can't fall behind." Ash says with Pikachu nodding as Ash continues to speak.
"So, Pikachu when we start our journey in Johto let's make sure we continue training hard and win the Johto League" Ash says with the yellow mouse nodding as he along with Ash do a fist bump then go back to sleep. We now cut over to Ash's Pokémon back at Oak's ranch and see them happily sleeping too after the party. A few hours later it's now 8am in the morning with the group eating breakfast that was made by Delia, Mr. Mime and Brock. As everyone continues to eat Red speaks.
"Man, this food is great it's been a while since I've had your cooking Delia and Brock, Mr. Mime the food you made is good too." Red says with the 3 of them saying thank you Red then looks at Ash and speaks.
"So, Ash you're going to travel to the Johto region next?" Red asks with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yep, and Misty and Brock are going to come with me" Ash says with Red nodding as Delia speaks.
"What about Tracey?" Delia asks as Ash speaks.
"Oh yeah that's right I forgot to ask Tracey if he wanted to come." Ash says as he looks over at the teen and is about to ask as Tracey speaks.
"It's okay Ash you don't need to ask as I'm not going to travel the Johto region with you guys." Tracey says as Misty speaks.
"You're not?" Misty asks with Tracey nodding as he speaks.
"You see now that I've finally met Prof. Oak, I want to learn more from him so I'm going to be staying at his lab." Tracey says surprising Ash and Misty as Ash speaks.
"Staying at his lab? Did Prof. Oak give the okay for that?" Ash asks with Tracey nodding as he speaks.
"Yes, as during the party I asked Prof. Oak if I could stay at the lab and he along with Daisy said yes as they would need more help in taking care of the Pokémon that live there." Tracey says with Ash and Misty nodding as Ash speaks.
"Well, it sucks that you won't be traveling with us Tracey, but I know that working with Prof. Oak is your dream and I'm happy that you were able to achieve it." Ash says with Tracey nodding as he smiles and speaks.
"Thanks Ash" Tracey says with Ash nodding as after that they all continue to eat. Once they're done eating Breakfast Red speaks.
"That was an amazing Breakfast" Red says while having a full stomach as Ash speaks.
"Hey dad now that we're done eating Breakfast can I ask you something?" Ash asks making Red look at him as Ash continues to speak.
"Seeing as I've won the Orange League, I feel ready to battle you now" Ash says with Red nodding as he looks at Ash smiles and speaks.
"Sure, I accept your challenge let's head over to Oak's." Red says with Ash nodding, making him excited as he, along with everyone else, head over to Oak's lab. 10 minutes later they've made it to Oak's lab and are at the ranch. Ash (having all of his Pokémon behind him) and Red have taken their battle positions and are looking at each other. Off to the side we see Misty, Brock, Delia, Rose, Oak, Daisy, and Tracey looking forward. Back on the battlefield Red looks at Ash and speaks.
"So, Ash what're the rules for this battle?" Red asks as Ash speaks.
"This is going to be a 1v1 single battle where whoever defeats their opponents Pokémon first will be declared the winner." Ash responds with Red nodding as Red then pulls out a Pokeball and speaks.
"Since this is a one-on-one match, I'll use this one. Charizard, I choose you!" Red says as he throws the ball forward and sends out his Charizard. Once the mon appears it lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave that tries to blow Ash along with his Pokémon back, but they stand their ground. A couple seconds later Charizard stops roaring as it looks forward while having a serious look on its face as Ash speaks.
"There it is dad's Charizard he looks as strong as ever but I'm not backing down." Ash says to himself as Red speaks.
"So, Ash which of your Pokémon are you going to have my Charizard battle against?" Red asks as Ash speaks.
"There's only one Pokémon that I'm using" Ash responds as he looks at his Charizard with the mon nodding as Ash speaks.
"Charizard, I choose you!" Ash says as he flies on the battlefield and lands. Ash's Charizard lets out a mighty roar and looks at Red's Charizard while having a serious look on his face as Red speaks.
"Yep, as I thought" Red says while having a smile on his face as off to the side Misty speaks.
"So, it's going to be a Charizard vs Charizard match." Misty says as Tracey speaks.
"I wonder if Ash's can beat Red's" Tracey says as Brock then walks forward and takes the referee position. Brock looks at both trainers and speaks.
"Are you guys okay with me being the referee?" Brock asks with both trainers nodding as their Charizard's get into battle stances Brock speaks.
"Now that both trainers have sent out their first Pokémon. Let the battle begin!" Brock says as Ash speaks.
"Here we come Dad! Charizard use Flamethrower!" Ash calls. His Charizard lets out a roar and fires out a stream of fire from his mouth that heads for Red's Charizard as Red speaks.
"Don't move Charizard" Red says with the fire lizard nodding as it lets the flames consume it. A few seconds later when the flames disappear Red's Charizard looks unfazed. Off to the side Misty speaks.
"Red's Charizard looks like it took no damage from that Flamethrower." Misty says as Rose speaks.
"That Red he always likes to show off." Rose says with Delia, Oak, and Daisy agreeing with her. Back on the battlefield Ash speaks.
"I knew that the Flamethrower wouldn't do much, but I was hoping that it would've done a little bit of damage." Ash says to himself as Red speaks.
"That wasn't too bad but now it's time we show you what a real Flamethrower looks like. Do it Charizard!" Red says with the fire lizard nodding as it covers its mouth in fire and fires out a big stream of fire that heads for Ash's Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Charizard quick fly in the air to dodge then use Hurricane!" Ash calls with the mon nodding as he quickly flies in the air and avoids the attack. Ash's Charizard then lets out a mighty roar and summons a big Hurricane that heads for Red's Charizard as Red speaks.
"Thunder Punch!" Red says with his Charizard nodding as it covers its right fist in electricity and punches the Hurricane easily destroying it. Ash is a little surprised but then calls for his next command.
"Charizard use Thunder Punch!" Ash calls. Charizard roars as he flies forward, covers his left fist in electricity and punches Red's Charizard hard in the face. Ash smiles and speaks.
"Yes!" Ash says happily with his Charizard smiling too, but their smiles don't last for long as they see Red's Charizard having an unfazed look on its face as Red speaks.
"Use Dragon Claw!" "Dodge Charizard!" Both trainers' call. Red's Charizard covers its left claws in green dragon energy and goes to hit Ash's Charizard, but the mon quickly flies back dodging the attack. Red then smiles and calls for his next command.
"Now Charizard use Temper Flare!" Red calls. "What's that?" Ash questions but quickly gets his answer as Red's Charizard covers its body in fire, shoots forward and hits Ash's Charizard hard in the stomach. Ash's Charizard coughs in pain as he's sent flying back and crashes on the ground a few feet away as Ash speaks.
"Charizard!" Ash calls in worry as when the dust clears, we see Charizard laying on his back groaning in pain as Ash speaks.
"I know that my dad's Charizard is strong but why did that one attack do so much damage to my Charizard?" Ash questions as Red speaks.
"That's because Temper Flare is a move that doubles in power when the users previous attack misses." Red responds with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"So, that's why." Ash says as his Charizard stands back up and looks at Red's Charizard as Red speaks.
"I like your Charizard's fighting spirit Ash, but I think it's time we end this. Charizard use Blast Burn!" Red calls. His Charizard lets out a mighty roar as it heats up its body and fires out a large stream of fire from its mouth that heads for Ash's Charizard. Ash sees that Charizard won't be able to dodge in time and calls for a command.
"Charizard use Inferno!" Ash calls. His Charizard lets out a mighty roar and sends out a large fiery vortex that collides with the Blast Burn. When the two moves collide the Blast Burn easily destroys the Inferno and continues heading for Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Charizard look out!" Ash calls but was too late as the Blast Burn connects with Charizard, creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Charizard!" Ash calls in worry as when the smoke clears everyone can see Ash's Charizard laying on his back and is knocked out. Ash along with his Pokémon have surprised looks on their faces as Brock speaks.
"Ash's Charizard is unable to battle Red's Charizard's the winner making Red the victor of this battle!" Brock says allowing for Red along with Charizard to smile. Off to the side Misty along with Tracey have surprised looks on their faces as Misty speaks.
"It took down Ash's Charizard in just two attacks" Misty says as Tracey speaks.
"That just showcases how much stronger Red's Charizard is compared to Ash's" Tracey says with Misty nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash walks over to Charizard and gently lifts up the mons head. Once he does that Charizard looks at Ash and tells him sorry as Ash speaks.
"It's okay Charizard dad's Charizard was just too strong." Ash says with the fire lizard nodding as Ash then helps him stand back up. Once he does that Red along with his Charizard appear in front of them as Red looks at Ash and speaks.
"It was short, but was a good battle Ash you really have gotten stronger." Red says with his Charizard agreeing as Ash speaks.
"Thanks dad but it seems like we're still not on your level yet." Ash says as Red speaks.
"That's true but as long as you continue to train, you'll get there eventually." Red says with Ash nodding as Red then looks at Ash's Charizard, thinks for a bit and speaks.
"Ash, you said that you were travelling to the Johto region next right?" Red asks with Ash nodding as Red continues to speak.
"During your travels in the Johto region you should stop at a place called the Charicific Valley" Red says making Ash curious as he speaks.
"What's the Charicific Valley?" Ash asks as Red speaks.
"Like the name suggests it's a place where wild Charizard's gather and compete with each other to become the strongest Charizard in the world. My Charizard trained their once before and became a lot stronger afterward." Red says with his Charizard nodding as Ash speaks.
"So, you're saying that if I take my Charizard there he'll be able to train and grow stronger too?" Ash asks with Red nodding as he speaks.
"Yes, that's right" Red says making Ash along with his Charizard excited as he speaks.
"That sounds great! What do you think Charizard?" Ash asks as his Charizard lets out a roar wanting to go there, making Ash happy as he speaks.
"Alright during our travels in the Johto region we'll make sure to stop there" Ash says with Charizard nodding as Red speaks.
"Well then with that out of the way it's time for me to head out" Red says as Ash speaks.
"You're going already?" Ash asks with Red nodding as he speaks.
"Yeah, I'm currently looking for someone but don't worry I'm sure we'll see each other again." Red says with Ash nodding as Red then looks over at Delia and the others and speaks.
"It was great seeing all of you again and Delia I'll try to call from time to time." Red says as Delia speaks.
"You better and also make sure you change your underwear daily" Delia says making Red blush in embarrassment while everyone else smiles. After that Red says goodbye to everyone, gets on Charizard's back as the mon begins to fly in the air heading out of Pallet Town. Everyone waves them goodbye until they can't see them anymore as Misty then walks over to Ash and speaks.
"Well Ash you finally got the chance to battle your dad." Misty says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yeah, and this battle along with the battle I had with Gary yesterday showed me that I still have a long way to go, and I feel like traveling the Johto region and competing in the league will help me." Ash says with Misty and Brock nodding as Oak speaks.
"I'm happy to see you very excited Ash but could you along with Misty and Brock come to the lab I want to give you something." Oak says with the 3 kids nodding as they along with the old man go back inside the lab. Once they make it Prof. Oak grabs, the GS Ball looks at the group and speaks.
"I'm giving the GS Ball back to you" Oak says as he hands the ball over to Ash the boy looks at him and speaks.
"But why?" Ash asks as Misty speaks.
"Does this mean that you along with Daisy were able to finish studying it?" Misty asks as Oak speaks.
"Well, you see the thing is that we don't know anything about it" Oak says surprising the group as Brock speaks.
"You don't?" Brock asks with the old man nodding as he continues to speak.
"Yes, after running many tests and even asking Ash's Clefable, Gengar, Raichu, and Noctowl to try opening it with Psychic nothing worked. Daisy and I don't know who made it or what's inside." Oak says with the group nodding as Ash speaks.
"Since you along with Daisy aren't able to find out the GS Ball's secrets is there anyone that can?" Ash asks as Oak speaks.
"Yes, I do believe there is and it's this man Kurt from Azalea Town in the Johto region." Oak responds as he shows a picture of the man on his computer and continues to speak.
"Kurt is an expert when it comes to Pokeball's and knows more about them than anyone. So, I believe that he'll be the one to figure out the secrets of the GS Ball and I want you all to deliver it to him. I'm sorry for putting this burden on you as unfortunately there's no one else I can ask as they're all busy." Oak says with the group nodding as Ash thinks for a bit and speaks.
"Sure, I don't mind Professor." Ash says as Brock speaks.
"There's also a gym in Azalea Town too so after we deliver the GS Ball to Kurt Ash can have his gym battle right after." Brock says with Ash nodding as Prof. Oak speaks.
"So, I take it that you'll be able to do it?" Oak asks with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yeah, just leave it to us" Ash says with Misty and Brock agreeing with him making Oak smile as he speaks.
"That's great to hear thank you very much." Oak says with the 3 kids nodding as Oak continues to speak.
"Oh, and Ash, I'll tell you something else. Now that you've won the Orange League, I'll now grant you the access of carrying 8 Pokémon with you." Oak says surprising the group as Ash speaks.
"Really?!" Ash asks as Oak speaks.
"Yes, really as you've earned it" Oak says while having a smile on his face as Misty speaks.
"That's great Ash now you'll be able to train more Pokémon" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"This also means that we'll have more mouths to feed too so I'll need to make sure that when we're having Breakfast, lunch and dinner that I make enough for everyone." Brock says as Misty speaks.
"I can help with the cooking" Misty says with Brock nodding as Ash speaks.
"Thank you very much Prof. Oak and we'll make sure that we get the GS Ball over to Kurt safe and sound." Ash says with Oak nodding as speaks.
"That's great to hear." Oak says as after that the 3 kids along with Oak head out of the lab and join everyone else. When they do, Ash goes over to his Pokémon and begins to speak.
"Hey, guys we've only been in Pallet Town for a short while but it's finally time for us to go on another journey." Ash says with his Pokémon nodding as Ash continues to speak.
"The place we're traveling too next is the Johto region, I heard that the gym leaders along with the league there are going to be more challenging than what we faced in Kanto and the Orange Islands." Ash says with his Pokémon nodding as Ash continues to speak.
"But I know that with you guys it'll be alright because no matter what the challenge is we'll always face it head on and win. Isn't that, right?!" Ash says making the mons nod as Ash smiles and speaks.
"Great then while traveling the Johto region let's beat the gym leaders and win the league!" Ash says while raising his right fist up causing all of his Pokémon to cheer while everyone else smiles. Once that's over when Ash, Misty and Brock are about to leave Rose suggests that they all take a picture with each other with the 3 trainers nodding. Misty along with Brock send out their Pokémon as they along with the two trainers stand next to Ash and his Pokémon. When they do, they all look forward having smiles on their faces as Rose takes the picture. After that Oak tells them the best way to get to Johto is through Tojo Falls which is west of Viridian City and will take them 3 days by walking. Oak also tells them that when they leave Tojo Falls they should head to New Bark Town as that's where Ash can register for the Johto league and also meet the Professor there too. The 3 kids nod as they say goodbye to everyone and leave Pallet Town heading for Tojo Falls. We now come to the group who're walking down the road as Misty speaks.
"We're going on another adventure." Misty says as Brock speaks.
"I have to say it's pretty nostalgic that it's just the 3 of us" Brock says with the 3 kids nodding as Misty speaks.
"Yeah, it reminds me when we were traveling through Kanto, and I'm interested to see what the Johto region has in store for us." Misty says as Ash speaks.
"Well, whatever it is I'm excited right Pikachu?!" Ash asks with the yellow mouse nodding, making the others smile as they continue to walk. As they're walking, they're looking forward to their new adventure as the chapter comes to an end.

Now that the arc is over what was your favorite battle, moment, character, capture and your overall thoughts on the arc as a whole. For me I had a pretty fun time writing this arc, and even though I did skip over some episodes from the anime I feel pretty satisfied with what I made, and I hope that you guys liked it too.
Next chapter will begin the Johto Arc of this story with the gang reaching New Bark Town and beginning their new adventure. The story will also go on a 2-week break as I want to relax for a bit so you can expect the next chapter to come out on December 1st.
