Chapter 116: The Stantler Herd?
Hello everyone, this chapter is going to be my take on "The Little Big Horn" episode from the anime and I hope you all enjoy it!
The chapter begins on the same day that the last chapter left off and it's currently nighttime. We zoom in on a forest and see what looks like multiple deer like Pokémon called Stantler running away from something. We see a few of them get captured by nets and some get attacked by Pokémon this keeps happening as we then see a baby Stantler along with its mother running away. The two mons continue to run until someone speaks.
"Sludge Bomb!" The voice says as suddenly multiple bombs of sludge appear forcing the two mons to dodge. When they do, they turn around and see Petrel and next to him are his Weezing and Tentacruel. The man has a smile on his face and speaks.
"Let's see mother and child huh? It's my lucky day as you two are coming with me" Petrel says as over with the two mons the baby Stantler is scared as its mother stands protectively over it while looking at Petrel and his Pokémon as he speaks.
"Aw you're protecting your baby how sweet but now it's time for me to take you down. Weezing use Sludge Bomb!" Petrel calls. Weezing fires out multiple bombs of sludge that heads for the two mons, the mother Stantler quickly fires out a psychic beam that easily destroys the poison bombs and heads for Weezing as Petrel speaks.
"Weezing dodge and Tentacruel grab it with your Tentacles!" Petrel calls with the two-mons nodding as Weezing easily dodges the beam while Tentacruel shoots its tentacles forward going to grab the two mons. The mother Stantler quickly summons a protective barrier blocking the attack as when the barrier goes down Weezing suddenly appears in front of the mon as Petrel speaks.
"Use Flash Weezing" Petrel calls with the mon nodding as it sends out a shiny like that blinds both mother and child. A couple seconds later the light fades away as the mother Stantler looks back and sees that her baby is gone. She looks forward and sees that Tentacruel has it in its tentacles and is squeezing the mon tightly making it cry out in pain as Petrel speaks.
"Now that we have your baby will you kindly give up? Because if you do I promise that no harm will come to the child" Petrel says while having an evil smile on his face as over with the baby Stantler it continues to cry out in pain asking for its mother to help it. The mother Stantler looks at Petrel along with his Pokémon and has an angry look on her face. She then looks at her baby one more time and gives up as she begins walking forward. Over with Petrel he has a big smile on his face and speaks.
"Yes, that's right give up like the weak Pokémon that you are" Petrel says as when the mother is getting closer, she looks at her baby giving it a look that says everything will be all right which calms the baby down. Once the mother gets close enough, she looks at Petrel, covers her head in psychic energy and rams her head hard into Petrel's stomach (using Psyshield Bash) making the man cough in pain as he's sent flying a few feet away. Weezing along with Tentacruel have surprised looks on their faces as the mother Stantler then hits Weezing with Psyshield Bash sending it flying too. Tentacruel then goes to grab Stantler with its tentacles but the mon easily evades them then covers its head in psychic energy and hits Tentacruel with Psyshield Bash too. This makes Tentacruel let go of the baby Stantler as the jellyfish is sent flying away. The mother asks her baby if it's alright with the mon nodding as over with Petrel, he has an angry look on his face and speaks.
"You piece of trash! I'll make sure you pay for that!" Petrel yells in anger while looking at the two mons. The mother Stantler can see just how serious Petrel is and knows that if one of his Pokémon gets a hold of her baby again, she won't be able to surprise hit him like last time. The mother doesn't want to do this, but she tells her baby to run away and get to somewhere safe. The baby declines saying that it wants to stay with its mother, but the mother tells her baby that if it continues to stay then it'll get in her way. This surprises the baby at first, but it quickly realizes that its mother is right as if it stays it'll just get captured again, which would put its mother in a difficult position. The baby doesn't want to leave but understands making the mother happy as they then place their heads on each other one more time. When they do that, the baby begins to run away as Petrel speaks.
"Hold on you're not leaving! Weezing, Tentacruel use Sludge Bomb!" Petrel calls with the two-mons nodding as they fire their attacks that head for the baby, but the mother quickly fires off a Psybeam that easily destroys the poison bombs and begins to glare at Petrel and his Pokémon making the man angry as he speaks.
"Guess I'll get rid of you first then go after your child! Weezing, Tentacruel Go!" Petrel says with the two-mons nodding as they shoot forward with the mother Stantler shooting forward to continuing her battle with the two mons. Over with the baby Stantler it continues to run as it then hears a loud scream that sounded like its mother. The baby comes to a full stop and looks back. The baby has a worried look on its face and is about to go back but it then remembers its mother's words for it to get to somewhere safe. The baby Stantler has tears in its eyes, as it turns around and continues to run away. As the baby Stantler is running it accidentally trips off a tree branch and begins rolling down a hill. The mon continues to roll down until it reaches the bottom, the mon is groaning in pain and when it stands up it groans more in pain and sees that it has strained its left leg. The mon has a surprised look on its face as it then hears a voice.
"I heard something from over here!" The voice says shocking the baby Stantler as it quickly hides in a nearby bush. When it does, we see a few rocket grunts along with Petrel appear as Petrel speaks.
"Do you see the baby anywhere?" Petrel asks as one of the grunts speak.
"No sir I don't it must've been my imagination." The grunt responds with Petrel nodding as he speaks.
"We'll that baby couldn't have gotten far as it's still somewhere around this area as now that it's lost its mother it'll have nowhere else to go. We're not leaving until we get it" Petrel says with the grunts nodding as he along with the grunts leave. Once they're gone the baby Stantler lets out a relief sigh and groans in pain. The mon looks at its leg again and sees that it won't be able to move right now. The baby looks around one more time making sure that no one's around and once it makes sure that the perimeter is safe it then lays down and closes its eyes. When it does that the baby Stantler hopes that its mom along with its friends are okay as it then goes asleep. We now cut to the next day and it's currently sunny. We see the group walking through an urban oasis in the middle of a city as Misty speaks.
"It must be nice to live in a city and have a beautiful park nearby" Misty says with the group nodding as Brock speaks.
"This is also great for us too as we can cut through the park and enter the center of town" Brock says with the group nodding as they continue to walk something begins to rustle in the bushes. This alerts Pikachu along with Togetic as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu, Togetic what's wrong?" Ash asks as the two mons point over at the rustling bush causing the group to look at it. As they're looking Casey speaks.
"What do you think is in there?" Casey asks but the others don't know as suddenly they see what looks like an eye appear. Ash, Misty, and Casey have confused looks on their faces as Casey speaks.
"Is that an eye?" Casey asks as Misty speaks.
"I'm not sure but let's not make any sudden movements otherwise it'll see us." Misty says as Ash speaks.
"With an eye that big it's probably already seen us" Ash says as Brock takes a closer look, smiles and speaks.
"Actually, guys you should take another look as those aren't eyes." Brock says making the 3 kids look as Ash speaks.
"If that isn't an eye then I must be seeing things" Ash says with Misty and Casey thinking the same as they continue to look forward until a couple seconds later the baby Stantler from earlier in the chapter reveals itself. The mon looks forward as Brock speaks.
"It's a Stantler" Brock says as Ash speaks.
"Stantler?" Ash says as he pulls out his Pokedex to scan the mon.
"Stantler, the Big Horn Pokémon and a pure Normal Type. The eye-like shapes at the base of its horns produce a pleasant odor, that has a bewildering effect on anyone who smells it. It can also create startling, realistic illusions by shaking its horns. Stantler form herds and live in mountainous terrain." The Pokedex says as Casey speaks.
"If Stantler usually live in the mountains why's this one in the city?" Casey asks as Misty speaks.
"And it seems like it's all alone" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"From the looks of it this one's still young and probably got lost from its herd." Brock says as he takes a few steps forward and bends down. Brock looks at the mon making it a little scared as Brock speaks.
"It's okay pal. As you guys can see young Stantler like this one get scared, so you need to approach them very carefully." Brock says as Casey speaks.
"And how to you approach them?" Casey asks as Brock speaks.
"That's simple you just need to act like one" Brock answers as he begins to act like a Stantler and is slowly getting closer to the mon. The baby Stantler backs up a little bit as over with the group Ash speaks.
"I think you're scaring it Brock" Ash says as Casey speaks.
"Honestly he's scaring me" Casey says with Ash and Misty agreeing with her as over with Brock, we see him rubbing his back against a tree and speaks.
"It does seem like this Stantler is very standoffish, but I get the feeling that we're bonding instinctively on a primal level." Brock says as he then takes a closer look at the mon, sees that its left leg is bruised and speaks.
"Looks like its left leg is hurt. Well, we can fix that right up." Brock says as he then sits down, pulls out a can that has Pokémon food inside and pours some on his left hand. Brock then points his hand forward and speaks.
"Here Stantler I can see that you're hungry." Brock says as he then takes some of the food and eats it. Once he does that, he looks at Stantler smiles and speaks.
"Mmmm now that's what I call tasty" Brock says while having a smile on his face. The baby Stantler looks at Brock and can see that he's not a bad person. As the baby is going to take a step forward it then stops itself and remembers what happened the night before. Stantler continues to stay hidden in the bush as it then sends out an aroma from its antlers. When it does that the group smell it as Ash speaks.
"Whatever this is it smells good" Ash says with the others agreeing with him as they then get a little drowsy. A couple seconds later the baby Stantler looks at the food in Brock's hand as its stomach growls. The mon realizes that it does need to eat something as it takes a few steps forward and begins eating the food out of Brock's hand. Brock then comes out of his drowsy state, sees that the baby Stantler is eating the food from out of his hand, smiles and speaks.
"Is that good Stantler?" Brock asks with the mon nodding as it begins to rub its face on Brock making the teen happy as he hugs it and speaks.
"I knew that I'd be able to get through to you" Brock says as over with Ash, Pikachu, Misty, Togetic, and Casey they come out of their drowsy state too. And when they do, they look forward having surprised looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"Um Brock" Ash says while having a worried look on his face as Brock looks back and speaks.
"What is it, Ash? Can't you see that We Stantler's are having a moment?" Brock asks as Misty speaks.
"I think your moment is over Brock" Misty says as Casey speaks.
"Yeah, you should look behind you" Casey says making Brock confused as he does just that. Once Brock does that, he has a surprised look on his face as he along with the others see a whole herd of Stantler's looking forward and having serious looks on their faces. Brock has a worried look on his face and speaks.
"Now let's all stay calm there's no need to panic." Brock says as with the Stantler herd they continue to glare at the group as Ash speaks.
"Um looks like they aren't staying calm to me Brock" Ash says with the others nodding as suddenly the herd begins to run forward Brock speaks.
"Let's Get Out of Here!" Brock says with the group nodding as he along with the others begin to run. As they're running Brock speaks.
"The reason they're chasing us is probably because they think we hurt their baby!" Brock says as he along with the others continue to run we come back over to the baby Stantler. The mon wonders if that was the right choice as they didn't seem like bad people but after last night Stantler doesn't know if it can trust humans. After that the baby Stantler begins to walk forward (while limping) and is heading towards the city. Over with the group they've stopped running and are panting heavily as Casey speaks.
"I think we lost them" Casey says as Brock speaks.
"Strange as they were right behind us" Brock says with the others finding it weird too as Ash speaks.
"Well hopefully this means that the baby Stantler is back with its family, right?" Ash says as Brock speaks.
"I guess you're right Ash, but I did at least want to wrap up its leg." Brock says with the group nodding. After that they hear rustling in the bushes next to them as suddenly an Officer Jenny appears. She looks at the group and speaks.
"Are you kids all right?" The woman asks as Brock immediately goes up to her and speaks.
"I am now that you're here" Brock says while having a blush on his face as Misty speaks.
"I think she was talking to all of us Brock" Misty says as Jenny speaks.
"Would you all come with me?" Jenny asks as Brock speaks.
"Oh, I would go anywhere with you Jenny shall we go to a restaurant or a nearby park?" Brock asks as Jenny speaks.
"I don't think you're understanding what I'm saying. I would like for you all to come to the station so that I can fill out a report" Jenny says as Brock speaks.
"That's a strange place to go to for a first date but I don't mind" Brock says causing Ash, Pikachu, Misty, Togetic, and Casey to let out a sigh as Casey speaks.
"Is he really this dense?" Casey asks as Misty speaks.
"Only when it comes to beautiful woman" Misty responds with Casey nodding as after that they all begin heading over to the police station. A few minutes later they've made it to the station the group along with Jenny are sitting at a table as Jenny speaks.
"The park we were just at is usually filled with families on vacation and Pokémon but ever since that herd of Stantler moved in earlier today no one's been able to go there because they're all scared of getting hurt." Jenny says as Ash speaks.
"They must've been the same herd that chased us" Ash says as Misty speaks.
"It's strange that they're in the city because don't Stantler usually stay in the mountains?" Misty asks as Jenny speaks.
"Yes, they do but earlier today we learned that there was an attack at the Statler's home last night in the mountains causing them to run away" Jenny answers as Casey speaks.
"So, that means that they must've came down from the mountain" Casey says with Jenny nodding as she speaks.
"Yes, but even though that's the case whenever the Stantler herd appear they somehow disappear without a trace." Jenny says with the group nodding as Brock speaks.
"I could be wrong, but I get the feeling that those Stantler that chased us weren't actually there" Brock says as Ash speaks.
"But they had to have been there Brock we all saw them with our own eyes" Ash says with Misty and Casey nodding as Brock speaks.
"You're right Ash, I saw them too, but can you think of how they just magically disappeared?" Brock asks as Ash doesn't know. After that they begin to hear many people yelling alerting the group as Casey speaks.
"What's that?!" Casey asks as Jenny speaks.
"Let's go see" Jenny says with the group nodding as they head out of the building. When they do, they see multiple people running away as Misty speaks.
"Why are all of these people running away?" Misty asks as one of the people running speaks.
"It's the Stantler!" The person says as they continue to run Ash speaks.
"Stantler? That must mean that the Stantler herd is here" Ash says as he along with everyone else look at see a herd of Stantler running through the street and heading for the group as Jenny speaks.
"Quick let's all get inside!" Jenny says with Ash, Misty, and Casey nodding as they along with Jenny run back into the building. Once they're back inside Casey doesn't see Brock with them and speaks.
"Wait where's Brock?" Casey asks but the others don't know as they then look forward and see that Brock is outside. They all have surprised looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"Brock what're you doing?! Get in here!" Ash exclaims as the teen ignores him. Over with Brock he's watching the Stantler closely and is seeing them phasing through the street lights along with the buildings. Brock notices that they aren't causing any destruction and speaks.
"I see now" Brock says as he continues to look at the Stantler and holds his arms out. Ash along with the others have surprised looks on their faces and see the Stantler getting closer to Brock as he speaks.
"Stantler it's okay you don't have to be afraid anymore!" Brock says as Misty speaks.
"Brock hurry get in here!" Misty says as Ash looks at Pikachu and speaks.
"Let's go Pikachu" Ash says with the yellow mouse nodding as when they're about to run forward Jenny quickly grabs Ash and speaks.
"No, you're staying right here!" Jenny says as Ash speaks.
"But if I don't do anything Brock's going to get trampled!" Ash responds as Casey speaks.
"They're getting closer!" Casey exclaims causing the others to look forward and see the mons getting closer to Brock as the teen looks at his friends and speaks.
"Trust me guys" Brock says as he then looks back at the stampede and speaks.
"Stop!" Brock yells as a couple seconds later one of the Stantler's makes contact with him causing the 3 kids to speak.
"Brock!" Ash, Misty, and Casey call in worry as they see the Stantler's continue to run. They all have sad looks on their faces as inside the stampede we see Brock bending down on one knee and has his arms covering his face. Brock puts his arms down and sees the herd starting to fade away as he sees the baby Stantler from earlier limping forward. Brock has a smile on his face and speaks.
"Yep, just like I thought" Brock says as a few seconds later the Stantler herd fully disappears leaving only the baby Stantler. Back inside the building the group see that Brock's okay as Ash speaks.
"What happened?" Ash says while having a confused look on his face with the others being confused too. Back over with Brock he quickly runs over to the baby Stantler, when he makes it, he bends down, gently pets the mons head and speaks.
"You were scared huh Stantler? But don't worry as everything's okay now" Brock says with the mon nodding as Brock looks at the mon smiles and speaks.
"We just want to be your friend" Brock says making the mon happy as it looks at him. Over with the group they have surprised looks on their faces as Casey speaks.
"It's the same baby Stantler we saw earlier" Casey says with the group nodding as they then see Brock lift the mon in his arms and brings it inside. Once Brock does he gently puts the mon down, grabs some bandage supplies along with a Super Potion. Brock points the bottle towards Stantler's left leg and speaks.
"Stantler this is going to sting a little bit." Brock says with the mon nodding as Brock sprays the area making Stantler groan a little in pain but then a couple seconds later the pain goes away. Brock then wraps a bandage around Stantler's leg and speaks.
"There that should help" Brock says making Stantler happy as it lays in Brock's lap and begins to sleep. The group look and have smiles on their faces as Casey speaks.
"Wow Brock Stantler really seems to like you. Also, what happened to those other Stantler?" Casey asks as Brock speaks.
"As it turns out there weren't any other Stantler in the park just this one" Brock responds making the others confused as Ash speaks.
"What do you mean Brock?" Ash asks as Brock speaks.
"Well remember that your Pokedex said that Stantler has the power to create illusions. That's what this one did by using the scent of its horn to create a herd of Stantler because it was scared of us and everyone else." Brock responds with the group nodding as Misty speaks.
"It definitely worked as it fooled me" Misty says with the group nodding as Jenny speaks.
"But how did you know that all of those Stantler were an illusion and not a real stampede?" Jenny asks as Brock speaks.
"Well while the herd was heading for me, I saw some of them pass through the streetlight along with the buildings" Brock responds with the group nodding as Misty speaks.
"It's surprising that this one little Stantler caused all of that trouble" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Yeah, but it was scared and hurt so it instinctively created the illusion so that we wouldn't hurt it as it saw us as strangers" Brock responds with the group nodding as Casey speaks.
"Whoa Brock you really do know a lot about Pokémon" Casey says as Ash speaks.
"Yep, that's right because Brock's goal is to be the world's greatest Pokémon Breeder" Ash says with Casey and Jenny nodding as Jenny looks at Brock and speaks.
"That's what you're working towards?" Jenny asks with Brock nodding as he speaks.
"Yes, because I feel a special connection with not just this Stantler but Pokémon in general. You see, when I got close enough to this one in the park, I looked into its eyes and saw just how scared and lonely it was. It made me feel how it felt as it was so far away from its friends and family." Brock responds as Jenny speaks.
"It's amazing that you were able to figure all of that out by looking at Stantler's eyes" Jenny says as Brock speaks.
"I feel as though you have to be able to sense things like that because if you can't look at a Pokémon in the eyes then you can never become a good breeder. But while I am able to do that, I still have a long way to go as there's still more that I need to learn." Brock says with the group nodding as Jenny speaks.
"Well, if you ask me, I think you know a lot about Pokémon already" Jenny says making Brock chuckle as she continues to speak.
"No, I mean it, it's incredible how you're able to tell what's exactly in a Pokémon's heart" Jenny says with Brock nodding as he speaks.
"Well, I may be able to tell what's in a Pokémon's heart but." Brock says as he then gently places Stantler on the ground, walks over to Jenny, gently grabs her hand and speaks.
"But I wonder if you can feel the feelings in my heart" Brock says while having a blush on his face and making Jenny confused as Misty then grabs Brock's ear and speaks.
"All right time to go before all of those sensitive feelings in your heart gets hurt." Misty says as she then pulls Brock away making Ash, Pikachu, Togetic, and Casey chuckle a little bit. After that Jenny then looks out the window seeing that it's getting dark and speaks.
"Since it's beginning to get dark outside you can all stay here with Stantler until its leg heals." Jenny says making the group happy as they tell her thank you. A couple hours later it's now nighttime and we see the gang in the station lobby. Ash along with Brock are on the floor while leaning against the wall and Misty along with Casey are on the couch. They all have blankets as we zoom in on the baby Stantler happily sleeping in Brock's arms. The group continue to look at the mon as Misty speaks.
"Looks like Stantler has fallen asleep" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Yeah, it was very tired at the park, so it probably didn't get a good rest the previous night. Also, thankfully its leg is all healed." Brock says with the others nodding as Casey speaks.
"Hey, Brock since Stantler really likes you are you going to catch it?" Casey asks as Brock speaks.
"No, I'm not I think that It'd be best to return it back to the wild as I'm sure it's worried about its friends and family. Also, it must really miss its mother as that's a feeling that we all have." Brock responds with the group nodding as after that they all go asleep. We now cut over to the forest and see Petrel along with the rocket grunts that appeared earlier in the chapter. Petrel has an angry look on his face as he speaks.
"Have you found it yet?!" Petrel asks as one of the grunts speaks.
"No Petrel sir we've searched high and low for it it's nowhere to be found." The grunt says with Petrel nodding as he speaks.
"I see. We'll continue the search tomorrow and if we haven't found it by then we'll leave." Petrel says with the grunts nodding as they then all go asleep. It's now the next day and it's currently 9am in the morning. After having some breakfast and Ash along with Misty and Brock switching out their Pokémon, they head over to the mountains to return Stantler back home. Once they make it to the mountains Brock places Stantler on the ground and speaks.
"Okay Stantler now that you're healed it's time, we said our goodbyes" Brock says as Stantler looks at the teen then looks forward. Stantler wonders if going back to the mountains is a good idea then looks back at Brock and begins to rub its head on Brock's leg making the teen look at it as Ash speaks.
"Looks like Stantler doesn't want to go back after all" Ash says as Misty speaks.
"Yeah, it can probably stay with us for a while" Misty says with Casey, Pikachu, and Togetic agreeing. Over with Brock he looks at Stantler and gets a serious look on his face as he walks a couple feet back. Stantler looks at Brock who speaks.
"Sorry Stantler but you're not coming with us" Brock says making the mon confused as it begins walking closer to Brock making the teen angry as he stomps his foot down surprising the mon as Brock speaks.
"Get out of here Stantler we don't want you anymore! Now get going!" Brock yells making the baby Stantler sad as it nods and begins to walk away. As the mon is walking it then stops to look at Brock one more time who as a serious look on his face, Stantler then turns its head forward and continues to walk. Stantler continues to walk until it is out of everyone's view, over with Brock he doesn't see Stantler anymore and begins to think.
"Sorry Stantler but it had to be this way, and I know that you'll be alright" Brock says to himself as he gets a little teary eyed. Over with the others they have sad looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"Hey Brock, are you okay?" Ash asks as the teen wipes his eyes and speaks.
"Yeah, I'm fine and I know that Stantler will be too" Brock responds with the group nodding as after that they begin to walk away. We now cut over to a couple rocket grunts who're still searching for the baby Stantler as one of them speaks.
"Should we really be wasting our time looking for one Stantler? We already captured enough and sent them to the base already." The grunt says as the other one speaks.
"I know how you feel but thankfully we just need to search a little bit longer then we can head back." The grunt says with the other one nodding. As they continue to search, they then see the baby Stantler walking on the pathway. The two grunts have surprised looks on their faces as one of them speaks.
"I don't believe it; it's still here" The grunt says as the other one speaks.
"I'll contact Petrel" The grunt says as he begins to contact the man. Over with Petrel he, along with a few other grunts are in another part of the forest and are looking for the baby Stantler. As they continue to look Petrel sees that his Pokegear is ringing, presses the answer button and speaks.
"This better be good news" Petrel says as on the other line the grunt tells him that they've found the baby Stantler. Once Petrel hears that he gets an evil smile on his face and speaks.
"Good send us your coordinates we'll be right there." Petrel says with the grunt on the other line nodding as he ends the call and sends the coordinates. Once he does that Petrel looks at the other grunts and speaks.
"Okay time to move out" Petrel says with the grunts nodding as they all begin to head in the direction of where the baby Stantler is. Speaking of the baby Stantler, it's still walking and has a sad look on its face as it did want to stay with Brock. But the mon realizes that Brock needed to do that as it's probably best for him to be in the wild and hopefully he'll meet up with his friends and family again. As the mon continues to walk someone speaks.
"Use Ice Beam!" The voice says as suddenly two beams of ice appear, the baby Stantler sees them coming and manages to easily dodge. When it does it looks forward and sees a Sneasel along with a Weavile in front of it the two mons have confident looks on their faces as two rocket grunts appear and have smiles too. The baby Stantler has a surprised look on its face as it quickly begins to run away the two grunts speak.
"Use Night Slash!" The grunts call as Sneasel along with Weavile jump forward and go to hit Stantler with their claws. The two mons are getting closer to Stantler as the mon quickly summons a protective barrier and blocks the attacks causing the two mons to be bounced away. When that happens the baby Stantler continues to run as it then hears another voice.
"Use Sludge Bomb!" The voice calls as a big bomb of sludge hits the mon causing damage to it and making it slide back a few feet away. The baby Stantler groans in pain as it then looks forward and sees Petrel along with his Weezing and Tentacruel. The baby Stantler has a surprised look on his face as Petrel smiles and speaks.
"Found you" Petrel says as when the baby is about to run away the two grunts from earlier appear and a few more rocket grunts show up too and have the mon surrounded. The baby Stantler looks around trying to see if there's a way for it to escape as Petrel speaks.
"Now that we have you surrounded, you're not going anywhere as you're coming with us" Petrel says as he continues to speak.
"But before that I need to damage you a bit more so that you don't run away again" Petrel says as he calls for a command.
"Weezing use Sludge Bomb!" Petrel calls as the two headed mon fires out multiple bombs of sludge that head for the baby Stantler but it easily evades them. When that happens Stantler creates an illusion summoning a herd of Stantler's that run forward going to attack Petrel along with the grunts as Petrel smiles and speaks.
"You call that an Illusion? Tentacruel grab it!" Petrel calls with the mon nodding as it shoots its tentacles forward and grabs Stantler. Once it does Tentacruel begins to squeeze Stantler tightly as Petrel speaks.
"Now Tentacruel slam it on the ground and Weezing use Sludge Bomb!" Petrel calls with the two-mons nodding as Tentacruel slams Stantler on the ground doing damage to the mon and Weezing fires out a big bomb of sludge that hits Stantler creating an explosion. When the explosion clears the baby Stantler's laying on its stomach groaning in pain as Petrel speaks.
"Good now Tentacruel wrap it in your tentacles and squeeze it" Petrel says with the mon nodding as it wraps Stantler in its tentacles again and begins to squeeze the mon making it cry out in pain as Petrel speaks.
"Yes, that's it scream more. Squeeze it tighter Tentacruel!" Petrel says with the mon nodding as it squeezes tighter making Stantler cry out louder in pain. We now cut over to the group as they're making their way off the mountain and as they continue to walk Brock hears something causing him to stop. When he does the others look at him as Misty speaks.
"Is something wrong Brock?" Misty asks as Brock speaks.
"Did you guys not hear that?" Brock asks making the others confused as a couple seconds later they hear screaming surprising them as Ash speaks.
"I heard that!" "What was it?" Ash along with Casey say as Brock speaks.
"I'm not sure but I get the feeling that scream was from Stantler meaning that It's in trouble" Brock says as he then begins to run forward Ash speaks.
"Brock wait for us!" Ash says as he along with Misty, and Casey begin running after him. Over with Brock he continues to run and speaks.
"Hang on Stantler I'm on my way" Brock says to himself as he along with the others continue to run forward. Meanwhile, back over with the baby Stantler, it continues to cry out in pain until it suddenly stops. Petrel has a satisfied look on his face and speaks.
"Okay now we can go" Petrel says with the grunts nodding as they begin to walk away, they then hear a voice.
"Hold It Right There!" The voice says causing the grunts along with Petrel to turn around as they see Brock panting heavily while having a serious look on his face. A couple seconds later the others reach him they pant a little bit too as they look forward seeing Petrel along with the rocket grunts as they speak.
"It's Team Rocket!" The 3 trainers say as Petrel looks at them and speaks.
"Looks like what Archer said about you brats being in the Johto region was right after all." Petrel says as over with Brock he sees Petrel's Tentacruel having its tentacles wrapped around Stantler and speaks.
"Hey, let Stantler go right now it's just a baby!" Brock says as Petrel speaks.
"Oh, I know it's a baby as it got away from me a couple days ago thanks to its mother" Petrel says as Ash speaks.
"A couple days ago?" Ash says as Misty speaks.
"Wait didn't Officer Jenny mention that something was attacking the forest where the Stantler lived?" Misty asks as Ash speaks.
"You're right Misty she did mention that" Ash says as Casey speaks.
"Then that means that they're the ones who attack Stantler along with its herd!" Casey says with the group nodding as they look over at them, Petrel smiles and speaks.
"Yes, it was us and we captured a lot of Stantler" Petrel says as Ash speaks.
"Well if you did then we're going to free them!" Ash states as Petrel speaks.
"Hehehe unfortunately for you you're already too late as we've already sent the ones we've captured back to our base." Petrel responds as Brock speaks.
"Well if you've already done that then why are you still here? Surely, it's not to capture one lowly Stantler" Brock says as Petrel speaks.
"Actually, that is the reason as to why we're here as you see this one's mother gave me some trouble so I'm taking it back to our base so that we can run some experiments on it along with the rest of its herd" Petrel says while having an evil smile on his face as Brock pulls out 6 Pokeball's and speaks.
"Well, that's not going to happen as we'll stop you!" Brock says as he throws the 6 balls forward sending out his Pokémon. The mons that appear are his Steelix, Sandslash, Klawf, Garganacl, Kangaskhan, and his Kantonian Vulpix. The 6 mons look forward having serious looks on their faces as Petrel speaks.
"Wow you look very serious but unfortunately for you I don't feel like battling right now as I'm going to take my leave. Grunts deal with them" Petrel says with his grunts nodding as he begins to leave with Tentacruel still having its tentacles around Stantler and taking the mon with them Brock speaks.
"COME BACK!" Brock yells as when he along with his Pokémon are about to run forward the grunts send out their Pokémon consisting of multiple Rhyhorn's, Rhydon's, Arbox, Weezing, Sneasel, and Weavile. The mons look at Brock along with his Pokémon as the grunts speak.
"Fire!" The grunts call as the mons fire out multiple Stone Edges, Sludge Bombs and Ice Beam's at Brock along with his Pokémon. Just when Brock is about to call for a command Ash along with Misty speak.
"Pikachu use Thunder times 6!" "Togetic use Air Slash!" Both trainers call as the two-mons fire their attacks that collide with the moves creating multiple explosions. Then when the smoke clears Brock along with his Pokémon can see that Pikachu along with Togetic are in front of them as Ash speaks.
"Brock we'll take care of these guys!" "Yeah, you go on ahead!" Ash along with Misty say with Brock nodding as he along with his Pokémon begin running forward heading for Petrel. The grunts see Brock along with his Pokémon leaving as two of them speak.
"You're not going anywhere! Sneasel use Night Slash!" "You too Weavile!" The grunts call and just when the mons are about to jump forward Casey speaks.
"Chikorita, Hoothoot use Tackle!" Casey calls as suddenly her Chikorita along with Hoothoot hit the two mons and send them crashing into a nearby tree. The two grunts have surprised looks on their faces as they look over at Casey, who has a smile on her face who then looks over at Brock and gives him a thumbs up. Brock looks at his friends and smiles. After that Brock, along with his Pokémon run deeper into the forest and continue their pursuit of Petrel. The grunts have surprised looks on their faces and are about to run after them but Pikachu along with Togetic stand in their way as Ash speaks.
"You're battling us!" Ash says as he along with Misty throw their Pokeball's in the air and send out the rest of their Pokémon. Misty sends out her Vaporeon, Arctovish, Carracosta, Primarina, Milotic, and Slowking. For Ash he sends out his Alolan Ninetales, Kantonian Tauros, Noivern, Skeledirge, Seismitoad, Decidueye, and Melmetal. The 13 mons look at the grunts Pokémon and have serious looks on their faces with the grunts and their Pokémon having serious looks to. Ash then looks over at Casey and speaks.
"Casey go get Officer Jenny Misty and I will take care of these guys" Ash says with Casey nodding as she returns her Chikorita along with Hoothoot back to their Pokeball's and begins running down the mountain to go get Officer Jenny. Once Casey's gone Ash looks at Misty and speaks.
"You ready Misty?" Ash asks with the girl nodding as Ash speaks.
"Okay guys let's Go!" Ash says as his Pokémon along with Misty's let out a roar and charge forward. Over with the grunts Pokémon they charge forward too and collide with Ash and Misty's Pokémon as a big battle begins. We now cut away from them and head over to where Petrel along with his Weezing and Tentacruel are. They continue to walk forward as Petrel hears multiple explosions. The man along with his Pokémon look back as Petrel speaks.
"Seems like it was a good idea to let the grunts deal with them as now I can make a clean getaway with no interruptions." Petrel says to himself as just when he's about to walk forward he then feels the ground beneath him beginning to shake. The ground continues to shake more and more until out from underneath Tentacruel appears Brock's Steelix who hits the mon sending it high into the air. Steelix lets out a loud roar while Petrel along with his Weezing have surprised looks on their faces. Up in the air Tentacruel's grip on the baby Stantler loosens as it fully lets go. Stantler begins falling from the sky and is about to hit the ground, but Steelix manages to safely catch the mon with his tail. When that happens Brock, along with his other Pokémon appear as Brock looks at Steelix and speaks.
"Great job Steelix!" Brock says with the mon nodding as a couple seconds later Petrel's Tentacruel falls back on the ground landing on its back. When the dust clears it showcases that Petrel's Tentacruel is knocked out making the man annoyed as he returns the mon back to its Pokeball. Over with Brock Steelix gently puts Stantler back on the ground as Brock looks at the mon and speaks.
"Stantler are you okay?" Brock asks with the mon nodding as Brock continues to speak.
"I'm sorry Stantler if I'd known that Team Rocket was here, I wouldn't have sent you back into the mountains" Brock says apologetically as Stantler tells the teen that it's fine Petrel then speaks.
"So, you actually managed to reach me" Petrel says making Brock look at him as he speaks.
"Yes, as my friends made it so for my Pokémon and I to get here and save Stantler" Brock responds with his Pokémon nodding as Petrel speaks.
"Yes, that does make sense which also means that the grunts I have with me are useless" Petrel says as Brock speaks.
"You shouldn't blame them as they have a pretty terrible leader that only thinks about himself." Brock says making Petrel annoyed as he speaks.
"That's it from just that comment alone I'm going to crush you and steal that Stantler along with your Pokémon" Petrel says as Brock speaks.
"Bring it!" Brock responds as his Pokémon get ready, Petrel smiles as he pulls out two Pokeball's and speaks.
"Come Out!" Petrel says as he throws the balls high in the air and sends out a Toedscruel along with a male Jellicent. The two mons stand next to Weezing as they look at Brock's Pokémon and have serious looks on their faces with Brock's Pokémon having serious looks too as Brock looks at Stantler and speaks.
"Stantler, you stay behind me and don't worry we'll take him down" Brock says with his Pokémon agreeing with him. Stantler looks at the teen along with his Pokémon and nods as it goes to hide behind Brock Petrel speaks.
"It's time for you to perish! Jellicent use Hydro Pump!" Petrel calls. The mon nods and fires out a large stream of water that heads for Brock along with Stantler as Brock speaks.
"Kangaskhan counter with your Hydro Pump!" Brock calls with the mon nodding as she quickly fires out her own large stream of water that collides with Jellicent's creating an explosion as Petrel speaks.
"Weezing use Sludge Bomb!" Petrel calls with the mon nodding as both heads fire out multiple bombs of sludge that head for Kangaskhan as Brock speaks.
"Sandslash, Klawf intercept it with Metal Claw!" Brock calls with the two-mons nodding as they jump forward, cover their claws in steel energy and easily destroy the bombs of sludge as Petrel speaks.
"Toedscruel use Leaf Storm!" Petrel calls. Toedscruel lets out a roar and fires out a big storm of leaves that heads for the two mons as Brock speaks.
"Dodge and Vulpix use Flamethrower!" Brock calls. Sandslash along with Klawf easily avoid the storm of leaves as Vulpix covers her mouth in fire and fires out a big stream of fire that heads for Toedscruel as Petrel speaks.
"Jellicent intercept it with Hydro Pump and Weezing use Dark Pulse!" Petrel calls. Jellicent, along with Weezing fire their attacks that easily get rid of the stream of fire and head for Vulpix as Brock speaks.
"Steelix deflect them with Iron Tail then use Flash Cannon!" Brock calls. Steelix nods as he covers his tail in steel energy and swings it forward easily getting rid of the two attacks. Steelix then fires out a large steel beam that heads for the two-mons as Petrel speaks.
"Dodge!" Petrel calls with the two-mons nodding as they do just that. Suddenly Klawf appears in front of Jellicent and has its left pincer ready as Brock speaks.
"Klawf use Knock Off!" Brock calls with the mon nodding as he covers his left pincer in dark energy and goes to hit Jellicent as Petrel speaks.
"Jellicent blow it away with Hydro Pump!" Petrel calls with the mon nodding as just when it's about to use the move Brock smiles and speaks.
"Now Sandslash!" Brock calls as suddenly out from the ground underneath Jellicent appears Sandslash who uppercuts Jellicent with his right claws causing damage to the mon and forcing it to stop using Hydro Pump. Petrel has a surprised look on his face as this allows for Klawf to slam his left pincer that's covered in dark energy hard on Jellicent's head knocking the mon down on the ground. When that happens Klawf along with Sandslash look forward as they see that Jellicent is knocked out. Petrel's surprised as Brock speaks.
"That's one down" Brock says happily making Petrel angry as he calls for his next command.
"Toedscruel grab them with Power Whip!" Petrel calls with the mon nodding as it covers its arms in green grassy energy and shoots them forward going to hit Klawf and Sandslash as Brock speaks.
"Dodge and Vulpix come out!" Brock says with Sandslash and Klawf nodding as they jump back avoiding the green vines. A couple seconds later Vulpix appears out of the whole that Sandslash came out of, she looks at Toedscruel and has her mouth covered in fire as Brock speaks.
"Use Fire Blast!" Brock calls. Before Petrel can call for a command Vulpix lets out a roar firing out a large blast of fire from her mouth that makes contact with Toedscruel creating an explosion. When the explosion clears Toedscruel's groaning in pain as it then looks forward and sees Garganacl charging up a Meteor beam while Kangaskhan's charging up a Hyper Beam as Brock speaks.
"Garganacl, Kangaskhan Fire!" Brock calls with the two-mons nodding as they both fire out large orange beams that combine into one and connect with Toedscruel, sending the mon flying as it crashes into a nearby tree. The mon then falls on the ground and is knocked out. Petrel has a surprised look on his face as over with Brock he smiles and speaks.
"Yes, just one more and we'll win!" Brock says happily with his Pokémon cheering. The baby Stantler is surprised to see just how strong Brock along with his Pokémon are making the mon smile and also wonder if it could be as strong as them too. Over with Petrel he returns his Jellicent along with Toedscruel back to their Pokeball's. Once he does that he begins to think.
"I can't believe this how am I losing to this brat?!" Petrel says to himself as he then looks over at the baby Stantler smiles and speaks.
"I have to say you really are close to defeating me but if you do, you'll never know what happened to that baby Stantler's mother" Petrel says making Brock along with his Pokémon look at him as Brock speaks.
"What do you mean? Didn't you say that you already captured a lot of them?" Brock asks as Petrel speaks.
"Yes, it's true that we did capture a lot of the other ones but there are two Stantler's that we were unable to get being the one right next to you along with its mother" Petrel responds as Brock then speaks.
"Well, that's great to hear as this means that she got away" Brock says as Petrel smiles and speaks.
"Actually, she didn't get away" Petrel says making Brock confused as Petrel continues to speak.
"You see after the baby got away its mother battled my Pokémon even though it was at a disadvantage being by itself it continued to battle harder and harder not giving up. Which made me frustrated so I decided to not capture it and exterminate it instead." Petrel says surprising Brock along with his Pokémon as he speaks.
"Wait then that means you killed it!" Brock says as Petrel speaks.
"Yes, I did which was a shame because it was a strong Stantler but now that the baby has shown itself again, I'm going to take it as it should have the same or even more potential than its mother." Petrel says while having an evil smile on his face. Over with Brock he begins to clench his fists in anger as he looks at Petrel and speaks.
"As always you people truly are evil!" Brock says as Petrel has a smile on his face. Over with the baby Stantler its both surprised and sad to hear that its mother was killed. The mon then looks over at Petrel who's still smiling and gets an angry look on its face. The baby Stantler then stands up and walks forward, getting in a battle stance surprising Brock as he speaks.
"Stantler, are you saying that you want to battle?" Brock asks with the mon nodding as Brock nods too and speaks.
"Okay Stantler let's do this!" Brock says with Stantler nodding as it gets in a battle stance Petrel speaks.
"So, the baby's going to fight next this should be easy." Petrel says as his Weezing gets in a battle stance too. We now cut away from Brock and Petrel and come back over to Ash and Misty who are battling the Rocket grunts. We see explosions everywhere as Misty speaks.
"Slowking use Psychic!" Misty calls with the mon nodding as he fires out the psychic waves and grabs multiple Weezing's and Arbox's as Misty speaks.
"Now Vaporeon, Milotic use Hydro Pump!" Misty calls with the two-mons nodding as they each fire out a large stream of water from their mouths that consume the Weezing's and Arbox's easily defeating them. After that a few Sneasel's and Weavile's fire out Dark Pulses that head for the two mons as Misty speaks.
"Primarina use Moonblast and Carracosta use Stone Edge!" Misty calls. Primarina summons a big orb of fairy energy and throws it at the streams of dark energy easily destroying them and hitting a few of the Sneasel's and Weavile's but some of them do manage to evade. Carracosta quickly fires out multiple sharp stones that hits the ones who've dodged and easily knock them out. Next, we see a few Rhydon's running towards Carracosta going to hit him with Hammer Arm as Misty speaks.
"Arctovish use Waterfall!" Misty calls with the mon nodding as it covers its body in water, shoots forward and easily defeats the Rhydon's knocking them out. We now go over to Ash and his Pokémon. We see some Rhydon's and Arbox's jumping towards Ash's Melmetal going to hit it as Ash speaks.
"Knock them away then use Flash Cannon!" Ash calls with the mon nodding as it swings out its right arm and easily knocks the mons away. Melmetal then fires out a large steel beam that connects with the mons and easily knocks them out. We then see a few Weavile's fire Ice Beam's at Ash's Noivern and Decidueye as Ash speaks.
"Skeledirge use Torch Song!" Ash calls. Skeledirge summons a flaming microphone, sings into it and sends out a large fire bird that destroys the icy beams hitting the Weavile's creating an explosion and knocking them out. We then see multiple Rhyhorn's and Rhydon's fire Stone Edge's at Ash's Ninetales as Ash speaks.
"Ninetales use Iron Tail and Tauros use High Horsepower!" Ash calls with the two-mons nodding. Ninetales covers all nine of her tails in steel energy and begins to easily destroy the sharp stones. Tauros gains an orange outline, runs forward and is easily destroying the sharp stones as well. Tauros continues to run until he hits multiple Rhyhorn's and Rhydon's easily knocking them out as Ash calls for his next command.
"Now Decidueye use Spirit Shackle and Noivern use Boomburst!" Ash calls. Decidueye shoots out multiple arrows that connect with multiple Sneasel's, Weezing's, Arbox's, and Rhyhorn's shadows keeping them in place. Noivern lets out a roar and fires out a big wave of sound that connects with the mons creating an explosion. When the explosion clears it showcases that they're all knocked out. We then see multiple Weezing's about to use Explosion as Ash speaks.
"Ninetales freeze them with Blizzard!" Ash calls with Ninetales nodding as she takes a deep breath and lets out a loud "NINE!" summoning a large Blizzard that heads for the Weezing's. When the Blizzard reaches the mons, it instantly freezes them and knocks them out. After that we see multiple Rhydon's shoot forward at Ash's Pikachu using Drill Run. Pikachu isn't worried as he looks at the Rhydon's Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Surf!" Ash calls. Pikachu gains a blue outline and lets out a loud "PIKA!" summoning a large wave of water that consumes the Rhydon's and easily knocks them out. The grunts all have surprised looks on their faces as more of them then appear and send out more Pokémon as Misty speaks.
"They just keep coming" Misty says as Ash speaks.
"It doesn't matter how many appear as we'll still take them down" Ash responds with Misty and their Pokémon agreeing with him as they continue to battle the grunts. We now come back to Brock and Petrel. The two trainers along with Stantler and Weezing look at each other as Petrel speaks.
"Weezing use Sludge Bomb!" Petrel calls with the mon nodding as the big head fires out multiple bombs of sludge Brock speaks.
"Dodge Stantler!" Brock calls with Stantler nodding as it easily evades the poison bombs Petrel speaks.
"Now use Dark Pulse!" Petrel calls as the small Weezing head fires out a stream of dark energy that hits Stantler causing damage to it as Brock speaks.
"That's right he can have both heads of his Weezing use different attacks." Brock says to himself as Petrel speaks.
"Now use Sludge Bomb again!" Petrel calls. The big Weezing head fires out multiple poison bombs at Stantler as Brock speaks.
"Look out Stantler!" Brock calls but Stantler's unable to dodge because of the Dark Pulse making the mon flinch as the Sludge Bombs hit it creating an explosion as Brock speaks.
"Stantler!" Brock calls in worry as when the smoke clears Stantler's standing but is groaning in pain as Petrel speaks.
"Now use Toxic!" Petrel calls. The small Weezing head quickly spits out a toxic blob from its mouth that connects with Stantler and poisons it. Stantler begins to cough as it's now poisoned surprising Brock as Petrel speaks.
"Hah! Just like I thought this is easy and it's time to finish it off. Weezing use Fire Blast!" Petrel says with Weezing nodding as it fires out a big blast of fire at Stantler Brock speaks.
"Stantler look out!" Brock says as over with Stantler it continues to cough and looks at the Fire Blast getting closer. Stantler doesn't know if it'll be able to dodge but then remembers that its mom wants it to live. Stantler then gets a determined look on its face as it manages to dodge the Fire Blast surprising Petrel as he speaks.
"What?!" Petrel says in shock as Brock speaks.
"Great job Stantler!" Brock says with Stantler nodding as its horns then glow in psychic energy, jumps forward and hits Weezing with Psyshield Bash. Weezing's sent flying back a few feet away and is groaning in pain as Brock speaks.
"That was Psyshield Bash" Brock says as he smiles and speaks.
"Great job Stantler now let's finish this!" Brock says with Stantler nodding as it looks back over at Weezing. Over with Petrel he has an angry look on his face and speaks.
"Don't get confident just because you landed one hit! Weezing use Fire Blast!" Petrel calls with the mon nodding as it fires out a big blast of fire Brock speaks.
"Dodge Stantler!" Brock calls as Stantler easily evades the attack Petrel speaks.
"Use Venoshock!" Petrel calls. The small Weezing head fires out a stream of poison that heads for Stantler as Brock speaks.
"Counter with Psyshield Bash!" Brock calls. Stantler nods as it covers its horns in psychic energy and shoots forward. Stantler easily goes through the stream of poison and hits Weezing again causing super effective damage as Petrel speaks.
"Use Sludge Bomb!" Petrel calls. Weezing fires out a big bomb of poison as Brock speaks.
"Dodge Stantler!" Brock calls and when Stantler goes to dodge it can't because of the poison. This allows for the bomb of sludge to hit Stantler causing it to fall on the ground groaning in pain. Petrel then smiles and speaks.
"It's now time to end this! Weezing use Fire Blast!" Petrel calls with the mon nodding as when it's about to fire its move Brock speaks.
"Use Hypnosis!" Brock calls "What?!" Petrel says in surprise as Stantler sends out hypnotic waves that connect with Weezing and puts it asleep. Weezing then falls back on the ground and is sleeping as Petrel speaks.
"Wake up Weezing!" Petrel calls but the mon continues to sleep Brock speaks.
"Okay Stantler let's end this! Use Psyshield Bash!" Brock calls. Stantler lets out a roar as it covers its horns in psychic energy, shoots forward and hits Weezing causing super effective damage to the mon. Weezing's send flying and crashes into a tree behind Petrel. Petrel looks back, sees Weezing fall from the tree and is knocked out. Petrel has a surprised look on his face as Brock smiles and speaks.
"We Won!" Brock along with his Pokémon and the baby Stantler cheer. Brock looks at Stantler and speaks.
"Great job Stantler!" Brock says with the mon nodding as it smiles, and Brock gives it a Pecha Berry allowing for the poison to go away. Over with Petrel he still has a surprised look on his face and can't believe that he lost. We now cut away from Brock and Petrel and come back over to Ash and Misty dealing with the grunts. We see that only an Arbox along with a Rhydon are left standing as Ash and Misty speak.
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" "Vaporeon use Hydro Pump!" Ash along with Misty call with the two-mons nodding as they fire their attacks. The Thunderbolt hits Arbox while the Hydro Pump hits Rhydon. The two mons cry out in pain until they fall on their backs and are knocked out. Ash along with Misty then speak.
"We Won!" The two kids along with their Pokémon let out aloud cheer in victory. Over with the grunts they're surprised that they lost as one of them speaks.
"How did two children manage to defeat all of us?!" One of the grunts says in frustration with the other ones wondering the same. After that everyone then hears police sirens causing them to look as they see Officer Jenny riding on her motorcycle (with Casey sitting behind her) along with multiple police cars as Casey speaks.
"Ash! Misty!" The girl says making the two trainers happy as Misty speaks.
"It's Casey!" Misty says as Ash speaks.
"She managed to get Officer Jenny!" Ash says as over with the grunts they all have scared looks on their faces as they all return their Pokémon and begin to run away. Some grunts manage to escape while others get captured as we then see Jenny park her motorcycle next to Ash and Misty, allowing for Casey to get off as Jenny speaks.
"You kids stay here we'll take care of the rest" Jenny says as Ash speaks.
"Our friend Brock is confronting another person from Team Rocket named Petrel he'll need some help." Ash says with Jenny nodding as she then drives forward along with the other police officers continuing to capture more rocket grunts. Back over to Brock and Petrel we see Petrel returning Weezing back to its Pokeball as he along with Brock hear police sirens Brock speaks.
"Looks like Officer Jenny along with other police officers are here." Brock says as he looks over at Petrel and speaks.
"It's over for you Petrel!" Brock says making the man annoyed as he then smiles and speaks.
"No, I don't think so as I'm still going to make my escape" Petrel responds as Brock speaks.
"In that case we'll make sure you don't go anywhere!" Brock says with his Pokémon along with the baby Stantler agreeing with him as Petrel smirks and speaks.
"You can try but you've already failed." Petrel says as he pulls out 4 bombs from his pockets and throws them forward at Brock along with his Pokémon. The teen along with his Pokémon have surprised looks on their faces as Brock then looks at Steelix and speaks.
"Steelix use Sandstorm!" Brock calls with the steel snake nodding as he lets out a roar summoning a big tornado of sand that collides with the bombs creating a big explosion. The explosion heads for Brock along with his Pokémon as Steelix quickly shields them with his body while Brock shields the baby Stantler with his. Over with Ash, Misty, and Casey Ash along with Misty returned their Pokémon other than Pikachu and Togetic back to their Pokeball's. They heard the explosion too and get concerned looks on their faces as Casey speaks.
"Is that where Brock is?" Casey asks as Ash speaks.
"I hope not but let's check!" Ash says with the two girls nodding as they along with Pikachu and Togetic begin running forward. Back over to where the explosion took place there's a big cloud of smoke as a couple seconds later it disappears revealing Steelix shielding Brock along with his other Pokémon. Steelix sees that the explosion is gone and stops shielding them. Once he does that Brock looks at the baby Stantler and speaks.
"Stantler are you okay?" Brock asks with the mon nodding as he then asks his other Pokémon if they're okay too with them saying that they are. After that Brock then hears a voice.
"Brock!" The voice says causing Brock along with his Pokémon to look as they see Ash, Misty, Casey, Pikachu, and Togetic running towards them. Brock, along with his Pokémon, have smiles on their faces as when they get close enough Ash speaks.
"Brock, are you okay?" Ash asks with the teen nodding as he speaks.
"Yep, and with Stantler's help we managed to beat Petrel" Brock says as he gives Stantler a pat on the head. The others smile as Misty then looks forward and speaks.
"By the way where is Petrel?" Misty asks making Brock look as he sees that Petrel's gone. Brock has a surprised look on his face and speaks.
"He's gone! He must've used the explosion to get away" Brock says as Ash speaks.
"He maybe gone for now but eventually his luck will run out." Ash says with Brock nodding as after that Brock returns his Pokémon back to their Pokeball's as he along with everyone else begins walking to where they were at before. A few minutes later the group see Officer Jenny along with a few of the police officers have some rocket grunts in custody. Jenny says that Petrel, along with some other grunts, managed to escape but they will keep an eye out for them. Jenny then tells the group thank you as she, along with the officers, begin taking the grunts to prison. Once they're gone the group wave them goodbye as Casey then looks over at the baby Stantler and speaks.
"Now that Team Rocket's gone what's going to happen to the baby Stantler? Because now that its mom has been killed and its friends have been captured it'll be all by itself in the forest." Casey says with the others nodding as Misty looks at Brock and speaks.
"What are you going to do Brock?" Misty asks as Brock looks at the baby Stantler again, walks over to it, gets on one knee and begins to speak.
"Hey, Stantler do you want to come with me?" Brock asks surprising the mon as Brock continues to speak.
"I'm sorry for trying to force you to go back home earlier as had I had known that your mother was killed, and your friends were captured I wouldn't have done that. But now that I do know if I let you stay here in the forest, you'll be the only Stantler here, meaning you'll be all alone and I know you wouldn't like that. And besides if you come with me, I'll make sure to take care of you just like your mother did and you'll also make a lot of friends too. Of course, if you decide to not join me and stay, I'll be okay with that too." Brock says while looking at Stantler, the mon looks at Brock and doesn't even think about its decision. Stantler smiles and rubs its head on Brock's face making the teen chuckle a little bit as he speaks.
"So, I can take it that this means you want to join me?" Brock asks with Stantler nodding and making Brock happy as he pulls out a Pokeball and speaks.
"Let's work together from now on Stantler" Brock says with Stantler nodding as Brock gently taps the ball on Stantler's head sucking the mon inside. The ball doesn't shake once as it's an instant capture. Brock then stands up, looks at the ball and smiles as the group walk over to him Ash speaks.
"Congrats Brock you caught Stantler!" Ash says with Brock nodding as the ball then disappears heading for the Pewter Gym. When it's gone Brock speaks.
"Let's go to the Pokémon Center" Brock says with the group nodding as they head back to the city and go inside the center. When they make it, Brock calls his parents who send Stantler over as Brock sends Klawf back. Brock grabs Stantler's Pokeball and sends the mon out. Once the mon appears it looks at Brock who speaks.
"Thank you for joining me Stantler and I promise to take care of you from now on" Brock says with the mon nodding as it smiles. Off to the side the group look at them and have smiles on their faces too as after that they then have Nurse Joy heal their Pokémon. When the healing is done Ash contacts Prof. Oak to switch out his Pokémon as he along with the group leave the center and continue making their way towards Violet City. We now cut away from the group and come over to Team Rocket headquarters. Inside the building we head into Arianna's office as she, along with Matori are looking at Petrel along with the grunts who managed to escape. Arianna looks at them and speaks.
"So, not only did you let those brats beat you, but you also let a lot of grunts get captured." Arianna says as Petrel speaks.
"I'm sorry madam" Petrel says apologetically as Arianna then smiles and speaks.
"Well, I can't be too mad as you did succeed in your mission of getting most of the Stantler so for that I'll give you a pass." Arianna says with Petrel and the grunts nodding as they then leave. Once they're gone Arianna speaks.
"Those kids they're always causing us trouble" Arianna says as Matori speaks.
"Madam Arianna I think I know of someone who can deal with them" Matori says causing Arianna to look at her as she speaks.
"Who?" Arianna asks as Matori speaks.
"We can have the Iron Mask Marauder deal with them after he's done with his current mission." Matori responds with Arianna nodding as she speaks.
"Yes, that's a good idea. Have him get rid of those kids as soon as he's done with the mission he's currently on." Arianna says with Matori nodding as she leaves to contact the man. We now skip to one day later and see the group walking on a mountain trail still heading for Violet City. As they continue to walk Brock speaks.
"Man, it sure is chilly up here" Brock says as Misty looks to her right and speaks.
"Oh, look there seems to be a mountain." Misty says as Casey speaks.
"Looks like there's snow on it too" Casey says as Ash speaks.
"Cool maybe we can stop over there and do some skiing" Ash says as Brock speaks.
"Sounds like a great idea. Ah I can see it now me riding down the slopes in the morning and in the afternoon, I spend all morning in the lodge" Brock says as he begins to think about being surrounded by multiple women and has a blush on his face as he speaks.
"I think I've found the perfect sport for me downhill skiing" Brock says as Misty along with Casey roll their eyes Misty speaks.
"I think your brain's going downhill" Misty says with Casey agreeing with her while Togetic chuckles. Over with Ash he then sees something up ahead smiles and speaks.
"Actually, guys I think I've found something that's better than skiing" Ash says making the group curious as they see him pointing towards something. They all look forward and see a Chikorita laying on the ground and sunbathing. They all continue to look as the chapter comes to an end.
Thank you for reading if you've made it this far. This was my take on the "Little Big Horn" episode from the anime tell me how did you guys like it. I decided to have Brock catch Stantler as when I watched the episode in the anime I felt as though he should've caught it, but I understand why he didn't. Seems like the Mask Marauder will go after the group, but they won't meet him for a while.
Next chapter the first half will be my take on the "The Chikorita Rescue" episode from the anime and the second half will have Ash meet a trainer named Jimmy. I hope you all look forward to it.
