Chapter 5

Kyle was in fear for his life as he could run but couldn't as his friends were going to die and he couldn't bring himself to leave them.

Nicholas who was inside todd stomach was crying and begging, "please Todd I don't want to die!"

Todd rolls his eyes, "it's too late for that now Nicholas I'm going to explode and I'm no longer denying my fate, it will take another minute or two before I explode and will be gone."

Nicholas panic but then yelled out, "but what about the other carrots? What if after you explode other people come and find them and eat them?"

The earthquake around them stopped for a moment and so did Todd stomach rumbling.

Todd looked interested as he looked out at his gut, "that's actually a good point those carrots could still be there even after I explode."

Kyle looked surprised by everything had suddenly stopped with the loud earthquake and the loud stomach growling, "Todd how did you stop yourself?"

Todd looked down at Kyle and crossed arms together, "I was still in control of it's power, if I had continue in the state I was in I would have lost control and self-destruct with no way of stopping myself, since I'm not at critical yet and will not be for another couple days, I should at least have control but if I let the pressure build up and continue like I almost did then I would have explode by a minute."

Kyle was surprised with everything he had learned, "so you were able to stop yourself from exploding only because you were not a critical nor did you let yourself go full self-destruct mode yet."

Todd nodded, "I only stopped myself because of what Nicholas said, I should head over there and then explode."

Nicholas who was still inside the stomach could hear and panic, "wait? what!? that's not what I meant!"

Todd look bored as he began to walk to the direction of the carrots, "what were you expecting after what you said? In the state I'm in I'm going to explode either way, if I let myself grow to the size of a giant and then explode I will take out the whole entire city but if I explode now but head over to the carrots to destroy them as well I could save the city from future victims as well only the force will be taken out and everyone else will be fine except for us, it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make Nicholas."

Nicholas was scared as he did not want to go out in a bang at least not at this age, "I'm sure there's another way? We can find another way Todd."

Todd kept walking towards the direction, "Nicholas I gave you the option of helping me disarm the carrot and yet you choose scared to even do it, you're in there and everything and yet you refuse."

Nicholas looked down and himself as he curled up into a wall, "I know, I'm sorry Todd, I am selfish, it's just... Well I...?"

Todd look annoyed as if there was anything Nicholas wanted to say he needs to say it before Todd gets the carrots and explode.

Kyle was walking behind Todd as he couldn't leave his own friend there.

After taking a few breaths Nicholas finally spoke, "todd it's because I'm not like you, I act brave and everything but reality is I'm just a coward, I will always just run away from problems, I only made that promise because I thought we would never be in danger again after that Cliff incident, I don't want to be in a situation at all but yet here we are and now...?"

Todd had cut Nicholas off, "now it's either your choice that you either let me explode and we save the town by sacrificing ourselves or we take the risk of you disarming the carrot and hoping you cut the right wire and if not at least we'll go out in a bang together."

Nicholas looked down at himself curled up into a ball inside todd stomach, "I don't know what to do? I'm scared Todd."

"It won't matter, soon we won't be feeling anything at all," Todd said to himself as he could see where the carrots were.

When they arrived, Todd got into the hole as he was about to repair himself for what was about to come and that would seal his fate.

Kyle that was looking down at his friend and Todd look up, "Kyle you should go, there's no reason for you to put yourself in danger."

Kyle shook his head, "I can't just let the two of you go, if this is how it has to be then I'll stay and get caught in the blast with you two."

Todd shook his head but before he could do begin to are you before he could start charge up himself again, Kyle was immediately grabbed by someone behind and yank away.

Todd's eyes went wide and before he could react I can was put into the hole and large smoke came out and then he passed out.

When Todd and Kyle woke up, they were both tied and by their surroundings they look to be in an underground basement.

A man came in laughing, he looked to me in his early thirties, wearing black sneakers, blue shorts, a black T-shirt and a black cap backwards, sunglasses, had a muscular physique.

"I was going to let you explode but knowing that you were going to destroy those carrots I couldn't allow it," the man said.

Todd eyes went wide, "who the hell are you and how do you know about the carrots!?"

The man chuckled, "oh there is a lot you don't know, I've been keeping my eyes on you, it was on the moment you ate the carrot and I had decided to let you be a test subject, but now we have to do it in here."

Todd had no idea what was going on with this man but knew whoever this guy was this was not good for what this man had just told him, "who are you?"

"My name is devonte." Devante said with a smirk on his face.
