Two figures dressed as royalty, stood waiting and four guards ten feet away from them, korra immediately recognized them and ran to meet them
"mum, dad" she hugged them both and they returned the hug
"korra" her mother said, her voice tender and affectionate. They pulled away from the hug and queen senna placed a hand on her daughters cheek "oh my baby girl. look at you, so beautiful " senna said and korra smiled.
"she takes after you" kya voice said from two feet behind korra,senna looked at her
"thank you kya. you raised her perfectly"
"i'd do it again senna" kya said and the two hugged
"won't you give your dad a hug" king tonraq's voice boomed. "daddy" she hugged him and he picked her up. korra giggled while everyone else chuckled
"put her down tonraq" senna said softly, he did but not without commenting "you're so big now " he kissed her forehead
"yet you can still pick her up" katara spoke
"i'm her father. what kind of father would i be if i don't pick her up. it's been too long" tonraq said "it has" katara said "it is good to see you again" she added, senna hugged her "i've missed you mother" she whispered into katara's ear " and i you" katara said back.
"thank you for taking care of her" king tonraq voiced his gratitude "it was no problem " kya said
"come,you must be tired." senna said,she faced korra "i can't wait to hear all about paris and the friends you've made"
"friends aren't the only ones she's made " kya said, confusing both tonraq and senna
who looked towards their daughter "do you have a boyfriend ?" senna asked, korra blushed "no"
"but you like someone, don't you?" senna asked with a knowing smile causing korra to stammer a reply "n...no, maybe...yes, i do kinda like someone" she admitted "i want to hear all about him" senna said but tonraq had other ideas "who's this boy ? is he deserving of you ora gang member?" he asks, senna and korra rolled their eyes
"dad,i'd never like a gangster" she said and he breathed a sigh of relief "good, your mother didn't love a gang member" he said
"nope, i did not. i love a king who's too handsome for his own good " senna said lovingly "eww,mum,dad, no pda. i just arrived " korra said "well, for now" senna said with a teasing smile.
"well i for one am tired, can we leave now" kya asked
"of course we can" tonraq said
( At enchancia castle )
"it's been so long since i was home, does this place look bigger or is it just me?" korra asked as she took the wonderful decor and sight of the castle. senna chuckled
"no,it's just you. Everything is how it was all those years ago, nothing changed" she said
"well, somethings have actually changed but not big enough for you to notice" tonraq said
"i would love another grand tour but i'm tired" kya yawned
"kya's right. it was a long flight" katara agreed "yes, mum's right. we'll all catch up tomorrow once you're all rested" senna said
"can i stay with you for a little longer?" korra asked, her eyes downcasted. Tonraq and senna shared a look "of course you can stay " tonraq said and korra smiled brightly at them . katara and kya went to bed after they said they were full and korra was too so all through the night, korra talked to her parents . The only sound heard in the castle at that time of the night was the sound of the royal family all laughing.
( The next morning )
korra went to welcome her friends while tonraq and senna stayed behind, eventually going to the throne room to meet guests.
"Gabriel agreste, welcome" tonraq greeted. Gabriel bowed and so did adrien
"please, rise up" senna said, adrien thought she looked familiar, like someone he knew but he thought it was impossible "This must be adrien, you almost look like your mother but a boy" she smiled and her smile was contagious, causing adrien to smile too.
"i'm glad for his looks" gabriel said, not even thinking twice about what senna said
"he's handsome, i won't lie but gabriel, i know emilie wanted this but i don't want to force my daughter into marriage. she just returned yesterday and I don't want to just spring this onto her. she doesn't know yet" senna explained
"Are you saying we should cancel?" gabriel asked
"i'm not sure" senna said uncertain
"lets hear what adrien has to say" tonraq said, suddenly .
Adrien was surprised and did the mistake of looking at his father. senna noticed
"adrien, i know your father might seem scary and even heartless but here, you have nothing to fear. i'll even make sure you remain here with us so he doesn't yell at you" senna said to reassure
"i..i..."
what will adrien's answer be, will he go on with it or refuse . we'll find out together in the next episode
