Exploring the Mountain
The Loud Crowd leaves the Crown Shrine to leave Calyrex to spend time with Spectier.
"So, what do you guys want to do now?" asked Lincoln.
"I'm going back to the mountain and look for that Pokemon with the pretty jewels on it." said Lola.
"I'm going with you." said Lucy from behind Lola, scaring her. "I want to look for that Pokemon that looked like a bat and catch it; it may not be a ghost, but it reminds me of Fangs."
"I guess we can all explore the mountain; maybe we'll find new Pokemon." said Lincoln. Everyone nods in response and begin walking down the path they took to get to the Crown Shrine.
As the group walks down the path, Lana sees an active Pokemon Den.
"I'm going to check that den out guys; I'll catch up with you." said Lana.
"Okay, Lana." said Leni. Lana walks to the Pokemon Den while the rest of the Loud Crowd continued to walk down the path. Lana walks to the Pokemon Den and jumps into it; she soon found herself looking at a Dynamaxed, antlike Pokemon with a metal body. Lana takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Durant, the Iron Ant Pokemon. With their large mandibles, these Pokémon can crunch their way through rock. They work together to protect their eggs from Sandaconda." said Lana's Rotom Phone.
"This Pokemon looks so cool; I'm catching it!" said Lana as she takes out a pokeball. "Salazzle, go!" She throws Salazzle's pokeball and releases her. Lana returns Salazzle to her pokeball and enlarges it with her Dynamax Band; she throws it and releases Salazzle, now Dynamaxed. "Okay, Salazzle, Max Flare!" Salazzle releases a massive beam of fire from her mouth and it hits Durant, dealing massive damage to it. "Good thing Durant is part bug and part steel; they're both weak against fire." The sunlight in the den becomes brigher. Durant releases a swarm of butterfly-shaped waves of energy from its body and they hit Salazzle, but not dealing much damage, but weakening Salazzle's special attack strength.
"Salazzle, one more Max Flare!" said Lana. Salazzle releases another beam of fire from her mouth and it hits Durant, dealing massive damage; the energy around Durant explodes and it begins stumbling. Lana takes out an empty pokeball and enlarges it with her Dynamax Band; she throws it at Durant. When the pokeball got close to Durant, it opens up and sucks Durant in, and it falls to the ground. It moved around a couple times until it returned to its regular size and clicks. "Yeah! I caught a Durant!" Moments later, Lana found herself back outside the Pokemon Den; she sees several berries, two Comet Shards, and a couple of Technical Records, one that contained a move called Iron Head and the other contained Iron Defense.
"I think I'll use these on Excadrill." said Lana. She uses the Technical Records on Excadrill and she learned them. Lana then uses her Rotom Phone to look up her new Durant's information. "Okay, this says Durant's a boy, he knows Fury Cutter, Sand Attack, Vise Grip, Metal Claw, Beat Up, Bug Bite, Bite, Agility, Dig, X-Scissor, Crunch, Metal Sound, Iron Head, Entrainment, Iron Defense, and Guillotine; he has the Swarm ability which powers up his bug moves when he's low on energy."
Lana puts the berries and Comet Shards in her backpack and runs down the path to catch up with his siblings and friends.
At the mountain tunnel, Lola was looking around while the rest of the Loud Crowd was doing the same thing.
"Now, where is it?" asked Lola. Seconds later, the Pokemon that Lola was looking for soon came floating by. "There it is." Lola takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Carbink, the Jewel Pokemon. It's said that somewhere in the world, there's a mineral vein housing a large pack of slumbering Carbink. It's also said that this pack has a queen." said Lola's Rotom Phone.
"Says here Carbink is part fairy; another good reason for me to catch it, well, that and its beautiful jewels." said Lola before pulling out a pokeball. "Whimsicott, go!" She throws Whimsicott's pokeball, and releases her. "Whimsicott, use Energy Ball!" Whimsicott forms a ball of green energy between her arms and she launches it at Carbink and hits it, dealing super effective damage. The Carbink forms a ball of golden energy and launches it at Whimsicott, hitting it, and dealing damage.
"Whimsicott, Giga Drain!" said Lola. Whimsicott releases green energy beams from her arms and they wrap around Carbink; they drain its energy while healing Whimsicott's wounds, and dealing super effective damage to Carbink and making it fall to the ground. Lola takes out an empty Heal Ball and throws it at Carbink, hitting it, and sucking it in; the Heal Ball wiggled until it clicked. "Yeah! Carbink is mine!" Carbink's Heal Ball vanishes and gets transported to storage. Lola looks up Carbink's information on her Rotom Phone.
"Carbink is neither boy or girl, but it knows Tackle, Harden, Guard Split, Smack Down, Flail, Ancient Power, Rock Polish, Light Screen, Rock Slide, Skill Swap, Power Gem, Stealth Rock, Moonblast, and Stone Edge." said Lola. "It also has the Clear Body ability which prevents its stats from being lowered." She uses her Rotom Phone to exchange her Sylveon for her Carbink.
"Hey, guys; did I miss anything?" asked Lana as she runs to the others.
"Lola just caught herself a new Pokemon." replied Luna.
"Another fairy type?" asked Lana.
"Actually, part fairy, part rock." replied Lincoln.
"I just caught a new Pokemon myself back at that Pokemon Den back there." replied Lana.
"What did you catch?" asked Ronnie Anne.
"A Durant; it's like a big metal ant." replied Lana.
"I'm going to look for one of those bat Pokemon." said Lucy before walking off.
"I'm going to explore some of this place too." said Sam.
"I'll come with you." said Luna as she and Sam walked off together. The rest of the Loud Crowd split up and began exploring the tunnel.
At a part of the tunnel, Lucy was looking around for the bat Pokemon she saw. As she looked, she found a Rare Bone. After looking for a few more minutes, she spots the bat Pokemon she was looking for. Lucy takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Zubat, the Bat Pokemon. Zubat live in caves, down where the sun's light won't reach. In the morning, they gather together to keep each other warm as they sleep." said Lucy's Rotom Phone.
"Doesn't like the sun? Sounds like a Pokemon I would definitely like to have." said Lucy as she pulls out a pokeball. "Dusknoir, go." She tosses Dusknoir's pokeball and releases him. "Dusknoir, use Thunder Punch." Dusknoir floats towards Zubat while electricity surrounded his fist and he punches Zubat, dealing super effective damage. Zubat flies at Dusknoir and bites him, dealing super effective damage, and making him flinch.
"That looked like Bite." said Lucy. Zubat flaps its wings, releasing a strong gust of wind with light blue, X-shaped energy waves in it and it hits Dusknoir, dealing damage. "Dusknoir, Ice Punch." Dusknoir flies at Zubat while light blue energy surrounded by light blue energy and he punches Zubat, dealing super effective damage, and knocking Zubat to the ground. Lucy takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Zubat, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggled until it clicked.
"I have captured Zubat." said Lucy. Zubat's pokeball vanishes and gets transported to storage. Lucy looks up Zubat's information on her Rotom Phone. "This says Zubat's a boy, he knows Absorb, Supersonic, Astonish, Mean Look, Poison Fang, Quick Guard, Air Cutter, Bite, Haze, Venoshock, Confuse Ray, Air Slash, and Leech Life; he has the Inner Focus ability which prevents him from flinching. Lucy begins walking around with Dusknoir following her.
Clyde was in another part of the tunnel, picking up a big gold nugget.
"I can definitely get a lot of pokedollars selling this." said Clyde. He puts the gold nugget in his backpack and begins walking around. As he does, he sees Peonia walking down a path, making him smile, lovingly at her. Before Clyde can call out to her, he sees what appeared to be a grayish-blue shark fin sticking out of the ground coming towards Peonia from behind; Clyde begins running towards Peonia.
"Peonia, watch out!" shouts Clyde. Peonia sees Clyde with a confused look on her face.
"Clyde?" said Peonia, looking at Clyde. She turns to see the fin coming towards her, surprising her. Clyde grabs Peonia's hand and pulls out away before the fin reached her.
"That was close." said Clyde. He and Peonia looked at the fin; suddenly, the fin came out from beneath the ground, revealing it to be on top of the head of a small, bipedal, bluish-gray, dragonlike Pokemon with a red underbelly, two horns that resemble jet engines that had a light blue stripe around each of them, and a short tail. Peonia looked to see Clyde was still holding her hand, making her blush.
"You can let go of my hand now." said Peonia. Clyde looks to see he still holding Peonia's hand and lets go, blushing. Clyde takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the dragon Pokemon.
"Gible, the Land Shark Pokemon. Gible attacks anything that moves, and it drags whatever it catches into the crevice that is its lair. Despite the big mouth, Gible's stomach is small." said Clyde's Rotom Phone.
"I'm catching this one." said Clyde, pulling out a pokeball. "Urshifu, go!" Clyde throws Urshifu's pokeball and releases him. "Urshifu, Bulk Up!" Urshifu's body bulks up and his attack strength increases. Gible fires a beam of green energy from its mouth and it hits Urshifu, damaging him.
"Now use Surging Strikes!" said Clyde. A burst of blue energy appears around Urshifu and he punches Gible three times, landing critical hits. Gible leaps at Urshifu and bites him, not dealing much damage, but making Urshifu flinch. A blue aura that resembled a dragon surrounds Gible's body and it flies at Urshifu; it rams Urshifu, knocking him back.
"Now use Dynamic Punch!" said Clyde. Urshifu's fist becomes surrounded by a light blue aura and he punches Gible with it, knocking it to the ground. Clyde takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Gible, hitting it, and sucking it in; it wiggled a few times until it clicked. "Yes! Gible is mine!"
"Way to go, Clyde." said Peonia. Gible's pokeball vanishes and gets transported to storage. Clyde looks up Gible's information on his Rotom Phone.
"This says Gible's a boy, he knows Sand Tomb, Tackle, Sand Attack, Dragon Breath, Bulldoze, Bite, Slash, Dragon Claw, Dig, Sandstorm, Take Down, and Dragon Rush." said Clyde. "He has the Sand Veil ability which raises his evasion during a sandstorm; this Gible is strong." Clyde then uses his Rotom Phone to exchange his Flareon for Gible. He lets Gible out of his pokeball; Clyde takes out a Hyper Potion from his backpack and sprays Gible, healing his wounds.
"Sorry Urshifu was rough with you; I hope we can still be friends." said Clyde. Gible smile in response, making Clyde laugh and hug Gible who hugs him back; Peonia looks at Clyde with adoration. After breaking the hug, Clyde walks to Peonia. "So, what brings you here, Peonia."
"I was trying to lose my dad here." replied Peonia.
"NIIIIIIIIAAAAAAA!" Peony yelled from a part of the tunnel.
"Hide." whispered Clyde. Peonia hides behind a large stalagmite seconds before Peony shows up; he sees Clyde and walks to him.
"It's you again; listen, have you seen my daughter?" asked Peony.
"I saw her run up that way." said Clyde, pointing at a path.
"Thanks, kid." replied Peony before running up the path Clyde pointed at; Clyde waited until Peony was out of sight.
"Okay, he's gone." said Clyde, quietly. Peonia steps out from behind the stalagmite and walks to Clyde; she begins stroking Clyde's cheek, making him blush.
"That's twice you helped me." said Peonia. She leans forward and kisses Clyde on the lips, making his face turn red. "Thank you." Clyde stumbles around, dizzily and falls on his back. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah." replied Clyde, sitting up, and shaking his head. As he looks around, he sees what appeared to be a fang near a rock; he crawls to it and grabs it. "Hey, a Dragon Fang; I heard these increase the power of dragon type attacks of the Pokemon holding it." He gets up, walks over to Gible, and gives the Dragon Fang to him; he turned towards Peonia. "Want to look around here together?"
"Sure, as long as we keep an eye out for Dad." replied Peonia. After Clyde returns Urshifu and Gible to their pokeballs, he and Peonia began walking through the tunnel, holding hands.
"So, Peonia; what exactly are these legends your dad wanted to explore?" asked Clyde.
"Well, one is called the Legendary Giants." said Peonia. "It's about these temples all around Crown Tundra that these Pokemon that are known as Legendary Titans are said to reside in."
"Any idea where these temples are; I'm sure me and my friends would love to check them out." said Clyde. Peonia reaches into her pocket and pulls out four sheets of paper.
"My dad wrote clues about the legend himself." said Peonia, holding the papers towards Clyde. He takes them and opens them, revealing crude drawings and writing; Clyde saw some of the writing on each sheet was illegable.
"I can't read what some of the words say." said Clyde, adjusting his glasses. "But they say the temple doors are firmly shut; we may have to find a way to open each of them."
"I'm guess the words we can't read tells how to do so." said Peonia. "I hope you and your friends can figure out how to open them."
"I'll tell my friends about them." said Clyde. Peonia nods before she and Clyde continued walking down the mountain tunnel.
Moments later, the Loud Crowd and Peonia were in an open area of the tunnel.
"So, you guys found anything?" asked Lincoln. He takes out a Hard Stone and a pouch of Stardust. "I found a Hard Stone and Stardust." Lola takes out a Star Piece from her backpack.
"I'll trade you this Star Piece I found for your Hard Stone; I want to give it to my new Carbink." said Lola.
"Sure." replied Lincoln. He gives Lola the Hard Stone and she gives Lincoln the Star Piece. Lola takes out her Carbink's Heal Ball and tosses it, releasing Carbink; Lola then gives Carbink the Hard Stone before returning it to its Heal Ball.
"I also found this Comet Shard." said Lola.
"I found a Never-Melt Ice; I gave it to my Cryogonal." said Sam.
"I found a Stardust and a Star Piece." said Ronnie Anne.
"I found a Rare Bone." said Lucy from behind Ronnie Anne, scaring her. "I also caught that Pokemon I was looking for; it's called a Zubat."
"I found a Star Piece and a Gold Nugget." said Leni.
" I found a Big Gold Nugget." said Clyde. "I also caught a new Pokemon." He takes out a pokeball and tosses it, releasing his Gible. "Meet Gible; I also found a Dragon Fang that I gave to him."
"I found a Rare Bone and this rock." said Lana, holding out a gray stone.
"I think that's an Everstone; it's suppose to keep a Pokemon holding it from evolving." said Lincoln.
"I'll probaby sell it; who would want something that stops their Pokemon from evolving?" asked Lana.
Peonia then tells the Loud Crowd about the legend of the Legendary Giants and she shows them the clues her father wrote; the Loud Crowd tries to read the writing that were illegable.
"I wish your dad wrote these clues more clearly." said Lincoln.
"What do you think these Pokemon are like?" asked Lana.
"They're called Legendary Giants, so they must be huge." said Ronnie Anne.
"Should we try looking for these temples?" asked Sam.
"It would give us something to do before the Rose Cup, and it would give Calyrex more time to spend with Spectrier." said Lincoln.
"So, let's get going." said Luna. Everyone nods before they begin walking down the tunnel path towards the entrance on the bottom of the mountain.
The Loud Crowd are now on their way to find the Legendary Giants. Will they be able to find them all? Wait and find out.
