Azure Bay
At the Shalour City Pokemon Center, Lincoln and his friends stepped outisde, wearing their beach attire and their bags.
"You guys ready for a little R and R?" asked Lincoln.
"Yeah!" replied Lincoln's friends.
"I just hope that jerk from our first beach trip doesn't show up and bother us." said Shauna.
"If he does, I'll have another Pokemon battle with him and make him wish he didn't." replied Lincoln, making Shauna smile. Lincoln and his friends begin walking east towards Route 12.
Meanwhile, Astrid is walking towards the Shalour City Pokemon Center, carrying a dark purple travel bag; before she goes inside the Pokemon Center, she sees Lincoln and his friends. Astrid smiles and blushed when she sees Lincoln. Seeing him and the others in their beach attire, it was obvious to her what they were up to. Smirking, Astrid quickly walks into the Pokemon Center.
Moments later, on Route 12, Lincoln and his friends were walking down the road past some tall grass; they stopped when they hear rustling coming from the grass. A sheeplike Pokemon walks out of it.
"What's that?" asked Serena. She takes her pokedex out of her bag, unaware an empty pokeball falls out of it and rolls near the Pokemon; Serena points her pokedex at it.
"Mareep, the Wool Pokemon. Its fluffy coat swells to double when static electricity builds up. Touching it can be shocking." said Serena's pokedex.
"Hey, Serena; I think a pokeball fell out of your backpack." said Tierno, pointing at the pokeball that fell out of Serena's pokeball.
"I think that one's empty." said Serena. The Mareep nudges the button of the pokeball, enlarging it; it then prods the pokeball with one of its front legs. The pokeball opens up and sucks the Mareep in; the pokeball wiggled a few times until it clicked.
"Wow; you captured a Pokemon without having to battle it first." said Lincoln. Mareep's pokeball vanishes and gets transported to storage. Serena looks up Mareep's information on her pokedex.
"This says Mareep's a girl, she knows Tackle, Growl, Thunder Wave, Thunder Shock, and Cotton Spore; she has Static ability which has a chance of causing paralysis to any Pokemon that attacks it physically." said Serena. After she puts her pokedex away, the group continues walking until they reached the stream that went through Route 12.
"Now to find a water Pokemon." said Trevor. He and his friends look down at the water; Trevor sees a shadow moving around the water. Suddenly, a mantalike Pokemon surfaces above the water. Trevor takes out his pokedex and points it at the Pokemon.
"Mantyke, the Kite Pokemon. The pattern on its back varies by region. It often swims in a school of Remoraid." said Trevor's pokedex; Trevor takes a pokeball out of his backpack.
"Raichu, go!" said Trevor, throwing Raichu's pokeball and releases it; the Mantyke sees Raichu and glares at it. "Okay, Raichu, use Thunder Wave!" Raichu releases rings of electricity from its hands and onto Mantyke; it begins twitching.
"Now Mantyke's paralyzed." said Serena. The Mantyke fights through its paralysis and forms a ball of blue water in front of it; Mantyke launches the ball at Raichu and hits it, dealing damage.
"Raichu, use Electro Ball!" said Trevor. Raichu forms a ball of electicity between its hands and it launches it at Mantyke, hitting it, and dealing massive damage; Mantyke floats on the water exhausted. Trevor takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Mantyke, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggled a few times until it clicked. "Yes! I caught Mantyke!"
"All right, Trevor!" cheered Tierno. Trevor looks up his new Mantyke's information on his pokedex.
"This says Mantyke's a boy, he knows Tackle, Bubble, Supersonic, Bubble Beam, Confuse Ray, Wing Attack, Headbutt, Water Pulse, Quick Guard, and Take Down; he has the Swift Swim ability which doubles his speed when it's raining." said Trevor. He tosses Mantyke's pokeball and releases him; Trevor takes out a Super Potion and a Paralyze Heal and sprays Mantyke with them, healing him. Trevor then uses the Surf Hidden Machine on Mantyke, teaching it Surf. Lincoln then releases his Panpour, Tierno releases his Wartortle, Shauna releases her Azumarill, and Serena releases her Frogadier into the stream. Everyone climbs onto their respective water Pokemon and begin riding towards Azure Bay. As they do, Lincoln sees what appeared to be a blue stone with bubbles on it sticking out of a ledge wall.
"What's this?" asked Lincoln, reaching for the stone and pulling it out of the ledge.
"That's a Water Stone." said Trevor. "With it, you can evolve Panpour."
"You want to evolve, Panpour?" Lincoln asked Panpour; he nods in response. Lincoln touches Panpour with the Water Stone and begins to glow. Panpour began to grow; when he stopped glowing, he had blue dreadlocks on its head, its torso was blue with a white marking around its neck, and the tip of his tail resembled a geyser. Lincoln takes his pokedex out of his backpack and points it at his newly evolved Panpour while making sure not to drop his pokedex into the water.
"Simipour, the Geyser Pokemon, and the evolved form of Panpour. The high-pressure water expelled from its tail is so powerful, it can destroy a concrete wall." said Lincoln's pokedex.
"This is awesome!" said Lincoln. After putting his pokedex away, the group continued riding down the stream until they arrived at an open sea with several small islands.
"This is it; Azure Bay." said Shauna.
"Let's find an island." said Tierno. The group then rode their Pokemon and looked around for an unoccupied island.
"Hello, children." a male voice called out; the group looked to see an elderly man on a small island nearby.
"Hello, sir." said Lincoln.
"You kids having fun?" asked the man.
"We will once we find an island." replied Tierno. The elderly man notices the group's Mega Rings.
"You kids Mega Evolve your Pokemon?" asked the man.
"We Mega Evolved a Lucario, but it belonged to someone else." replied Trevor.
"We have Mega Stones, but we still have to wait for our Pokemon that needs them to evolve to their Mega Forms." said Tierno.
"I don't have a Mega Stone." said Serena. The man reaches into a bag he had and pulls out what appeared to be a light gray Mega Stone with a yellow and red emblem. "Is that a Mega Stone?"
"Yep; it's Ampharosite." replied the man. "It can Mega Evolve an Ampharos."
"Hey, Serena; I think Ampharos is Mareep's final evolved form." said Trevor.
"I found this Mega Stone some time ago, but I have no need for it." said the man; he holds the Mega Stone towards Serena. "Would you like it? You'd be doing me a favor taking it off my hands."
"You sure?" asked Serena.
"Absolutely." replied the man. Smiling, Serena takes the Ampharosite.
"Thank you." said Serena; the man smiles in response.
"Cool; now we each have a Mega Stone." said Tierno. The group continued riding their water Pokemon across Azure Bay until they saw an island without any people on it; they rode to the island until they reached the shore. After they got on shore, Lincoln looks around and sees several rocks with cracks on them around the island.
"Maybe I should have Lucario use Rock Smash on these rocks so there'll be more space." said Lincoln. He takes out Lucario's pokeball out of his backpack and tosses it, releasing Lucario. "Lucario, use Rock Smash on these rocks." Lucario nods in response; after smashing several rocks, Lincoln finds a large pearl and a Star Piece.
"Lincoln; those Big Pearls are worth eight thousand pokedollars." said Serena.
"Cool!" said Lincoln; he sees one more rock. "Lucario, use Rock Smash on that rock." Lucario leaps at the rock while his paw glowed white and smashes it; from the debris, an orange, crablike Pokemon that appeared to have a rock for a shell emerged. Lincoln takes out his pokedex from his backpack and points it at the Pokemon.
"Dwebble, the Rock Inn Pokemon. It makes a hole in a suitable rock. If that rock breaks, the Pokémon remains agitated until it locates a replacement." said Lincoln's pokedex. The Dwebble glares at Lucario and goes into a battle stance.
"I think it wants to battle." said Shauna.
"I guess one battle won't ruin our R and R." replied Lincoln. "Ready, Lucario?" Lucario nods before facing Dwebble. "Lucario, use Swords Dance!" Several glowing blue swords appeared around Lucario and cross together; Lucario becomes surrounded by a red aura and his attack strength increases. Dweeble forms a ball of gold energy between its pincers and launches it at Lucario, hitting him, but not dealing much damage.
"Lucario, Bone Rush!" said Lincoln. Lucario puts his paws together and stretches them apart, creating a long green bone; Lucario leaps at Dwebble and strikes it with the bone, dealing damage. Dwebble leaps at Lucario and slashes him with one of its pincers but not dealing much damage.
"Use Power-Up Punch!" said Lincoln. Lucario leaps at Dwebble while an orange aura surrounded his paw and he punches Dwebble with it, dealing damage, and knocking Dwebble to the ground. Lincoln takes out an empty pokeball from his backpack and throws it at Dwebble, hitting it, and sucking it in. The pokeball wiggled a few times until it clicked. "Yes! I caught a Dwebble."
"Good work, Lincoln." said Trevor. Dwebble's pokeball vanishes and gets transported to storage. Lincoln uses his pokedex and uses it to look up Dwebble's information.
"This says Dwebble's a boy, he knows Fury Cutter, Rock Blast, Withdraw, Sand Attack, Feint Attack, Smack Down, Rock Polish, and Bug Bite." said Lincoln. "He has the Shell Armor ability which prevents him from receiving critical hits." Lincoln turned towards his friends. "You ready for some R and R?"
"Yeah!" replied his friends in unison.
Moments later, the group were laying on beach towels, wearing sunglasses. Serena was looking at her new Ampharosite.
"As soon as we get back to the Pokemon Center, I am exchanging one of my Pokemon for Mareep, and I will start training her." said Serena. Shauna sits up and lifts up her sunglasses while looking at Lincoln who was relaxing, making her smile. She was about to lay back down on her towel when she looks out at the sea; she saw something, or in this case, someone and a shocked look appeared on her face.
'You've got to be kidding me!' Shauna yells in her mind. Lincoln notices Shauna's expression and takes off his sunglasses.
"What's wrong, Shauna?" asked Lincoln. He looks at the direction Shauna was looking towards and saw something that made his eyes widen.
Astrid, wearing a two-piece, purple swimsuit and her boots was jumping off a Pokemon that looked like two violet starfishes with what appeared to be a gem in the center of it and onto the shore. Lincoln takes out his pokedex and points it at Astrid's Pokemon.
"Starmie, the Mysterious Pokemon, and the evolved form of Staryu. Its central core glows with the seven colors of the rainbow. Some people value the core as a gem." said Lincoln's pokedex. After Astrid returns Starmie to her pokebll, she walks over to Lincoln and his friends.
"Hello, everyone." said Astrid, getting Tierno. Trevor, and Serena's attention.
"Hi, Astrid." said Lincoln.
"What brings you here?" asked Serena.
"I wanted to take a break from training my Pokemon and came here." replied Astrid. "You mind if I join you?"
"I don't see why not." replied Lincoln, making Shauna frown. Astrid takes off her boots and lays down a fuchsia-colored beach towel next to Lincoln; she lays down on the beach towel and rests her head on her hands before letting out a relaxed sigh. Lincoln and his friends laid back down on their beach towels; after relaxing for half an hour, Astrid rolls to her side and looks at Lincoln.
"So, Lincoln; how long have you been a trainer?" asked Astrid.
"I've actually learned about Pokemon over a month ago." replied Lincoln.
"How could you have learned about them in a short amount of time?" asked Astrid. Sighing, Lincoln sits up and tells Astrid about the boating incident that ended with him washing up on the shore of the Kalos Region and the fate of his family unknown. After Lincoln finished telling Astrid his story, she was on her knees with tears in her eyes and her lip quivering; she quickly wraps her arms around Lincoln's shoulders, making him blush, and Shauna glare at her.
"I'm so sorry you had to go through all that, Lincoln!" cried Astrid as she nuzzles Lincoln's cheek.
"I just hope my family's okay." said Lincoln. "And I especially hope Flip gets what's coming to him."
"I hope so too." replied Astrid.
"By the way, Astrid; we got Mega Rings yesterday, so now we can all Mega Evolve our Pokemon." said Serena, holding up an arm that had her Mega Ring on it, prompting Lincoln, Shauna, Tierno, and Trevor to do the same.
"That is incredible." said Astrid.
"I also got my own Mega Stone a little while ago." said Serena before showing Astrid her Ampharosite.
"What is it?" asked Astrid.
"It's Ampharosite." replied Serena.
"Do you have an Ampharos?" asked Astrid.
"No, but I caught a Mareep back on Route 12, but she's in storage." replied Serena. "As soon as I get to a Pokemon Center, I'm exchanging one of my Pokemon for her and I'll get started on training her."
Moments later, Lincoln, his friends, and Astrid were swimming underwater; Shauna would not let Astrid being around ruin her fun. They finished swimming and to Shauna's relief, they didn't encounter a single Luvdisc.
Moments later, the group were sitting on the island, eating lunch; Shauna was sitting on one side of Lincoln while Astrid was sitting on the other; Shauna would sneak glances at Astrid and frown at her without her noticing. Soon, everyone was finished eating with Trevor relieved the beach bully didn't show up and kick sand into his sandwich.
Later, everyone was playing in the water after waiting an hour after eating; Lincoln, Shauna, Serena, and Astrid were standing knee deep in water having a splash fight, laughing. Tierno puts his hands together and Trevor puts a foot on them; Tierno throws Trevor up into the air and he lands onto a deep part of the sea.
"Hey, Tienro; throw me up next." said Lincoln, walking to Tienro.
"Sure thing, Lincoln." said Tierno. "Look out, Trevor." Trevor swims out of the way. Tierno puts his hands together and Lincoln puts a foot on them. Tierno throws Lincoln up into the air and he curls into a ball.
"CANNONBALL!" yelled Lincoln before splashing down onto the water; he soon surfaces onto the water. "That...was...awesome!" Everyone laughs in repsonse.
Moments later, Lincoln, his friends, and Astrid were sitting on the shore, watching the sun set.
"Such a beautiful sunset." said Serena. Shauna, who was sitting next to Lincoln, rests her head on her shoulder, making him blush. He suddenly feels something on his other shoulder; he looks to see Astrid resting her head on it, making his blush brighten. Shauna frowns at Astrid, which went unnoticed by her.
Later, at Shalour City, Lincoln, his friends, and Astrid were walking back to the Pokemon Center.
"Today was fun." said Lincoln.
"I'll say." said Tierno.
'Would've been more fun if Astrid didn't show up.' Shauna thinks to herself. Everyone then walks into the Pokemon Center. Serena walks to the Pokemon Center's PC and uses it to exchange her Lunatone for her Mareep. After everyone showered and brushed their teeth, everyone walked out of the shower rooms in their sleeping attire. Lincoln, Tierno, and Trevor went to one sleeping quarter while Shauna, Serena, and Astrid walked to another; everyone soon feel asleep.
The next day, the group and Astrid, now in their regular attire stepped out of the Pokemon Center.
"So, what are you going to do now, Astrid?" asked Lincoln.
"I'm going to challenge the Shalour City gym leader to a Pokemon battle." replied Astrid.
"We're going to Coumarine Town so I can challenge the gym there." said Lincoln.
"I guess this is where we part ways for now." said Astrid. She walks to Lincoln and kisses him on the cheek, making him blush, and Shauna glare at her; Astrid begins tickling Lincoln's chin. "I hope to see you again soon, Lincoln."
"S-sure." stammered Lincoln. Astrid winks at Lincoln and she walks towards the direction of the Shalour City Gym. "Come on; let's get to Coumarine City."
"Yes, let's not keep you waiting for your gym battle." said Shauna, wanting to get far away from Astrid. Lincoln nods and the group begin heading east.
The group just had a relaxing day on Azure Bay. Now they're on their way to Coumarine City where Lincoln's next gym battle awaits him.
