In the abandoned building, the Reptilians of Death were surrounding the area, waiting for their targets to arrive. The three hostages were silent, worried stitching onto their faces.
They wish they could escape. Wished so badly to get out of this situation. But it would be no use. They were bound by angelic chains and there was no way of releasing their wings to fly themselves out of freedom. Not to mention that their capturer is brandishing the legit angelic gun that can kill them at any moment.
There was no way of escaping. They can't get out. And now, they were bait.
Bait for who? They have no idea. Sir Pentious's friends at the hotel?
The three angels looked at their kidnapper.
The dragon, Qiang, looks at his reflection of the angelic gun after cleaning it, making sure to get the right shine. When done, he notices that he's being watched. He sighs as he glances at his prisoners to the side.
"Don't take this the wrong way," he says, looking at each of their glaring eyes, "But I simply have to take this into my own hands." without thinking, he takes out a photo that he kept deep precisely in his pocket.
Dolores, even though not having super vision, notices who's in the photo and couldn't help but widen her eyes.
There were two occupants in the photo, both looking happy in the scene. One of them, Qiang, was wearing casual clothes and his hair seemed a bit more messier. The sinner had his serious personality dropped and was blushing with a smile as the other person in the photo had an arm around him.
And the other person happened to be a yellow chameleon. He had brown curly hair with yellow highlights and a wide happy grin. He had light red eyes staring back and wore a white buttoned shirt and red jeans.
It was obvious to the rest of them who that was, especially to Dolores.
She would always recognize her hermano's smile anywhere. No matter how long it's been since she's seen that smile even before death.
"You must be Dolores," the dragon mafioso said, pointing at me. Then he moved his attention to Luisa. "And you must be Luisa. Man, he wasn't joking when he said you're strong." and then onto Pentious, "I have no idea who you are to be honest. But whatever, you're still here."
Sir Pentious was narrowing his eyes glares at him, looking offended.
"You might have guessed, Charlatán and I go way back. Once we were friends…" Qiang looks away, not giving away the face of wanting more, "But he left. That coward left. A traitor he became. Left for his family."
He wouldn't admit it, but Qiang was quite jealous. Not just because Camilo left him for his family, but he gets to spend time with some of his family members. He had a family that cared for him. Cared no matter what and would do anything to reunite with.
While Camilo had family, Qiang had no one. All because of the stupid shit he believed in back on Earth. He wouldn't be surprised why Ying didn't want anything to do with him. He failed his sisters. They have every right to hate him.
"I had no one and he just left…" he says bitterly.
They can't help but feel a bit bad for the guy. To them, it looks like Qiang really liked Camilo in some way. They can sympathize with that.
Though, they can't really feel more bad for him considering the situation.
"Boss!" shouted one of his goons, "Carmilla Carmine wants to see you!"
The confusion on the dragon's face was clearly evident. But he quickly masked it thoroughly. "What does she want? The shipment wasn't assigned until next week."
The demon just shrugged, not knowing nor getting any answers himself.
Qiang sighs angrily. While in frustration, he grabs the chains that binds the captived angels and dragged them into a nearby crate and shoves them in ungently, causing them to grunt as they impact the ground.
"Stay here and don't make a sound. The quieter you are, the better." and with that, he shuts the crate tightly, making sure that there were spots to breathe through.
Qiang made sure to look good for meeting a fellow overlord. As he made sure his tie was right, he couldn't help but wonder to himself, suspiciously.
Just what was it that Carmilla wanted for her to show up personally?
Carmilla stood strongly in front of the building with Vaggie and Charlie standing behind her along with her daughters, waiting for the dragon mafia boss to make an appearance.
"Thanks for helping us with this. It means a lot." Vaggie told her, giving the arm dealer an appreciative smile.
Carmilla gave the fallen angel a smile of her own, "Your welcome. When it comes to family, I understand." she says, looking at her daughters, Clara and Odette, and then back at Vaggie, "And if you need any help, don't be afraid to come to me."
Not that she would admit it to anyone, but Carmilla actually liked the fallen angel. Vaggie has determination which is something to respect. Not to mention the sheer willpower to face an overlord in training to beat angels was admirable to say the least.
She even thought of taking her under wing a few times. Just in case.
Before Vaggie could say anymore, the entrance of the warehouse had opened, revealing Qiang and his goons inside along with all kinds of things you'd find in a warehouse.
Qiang stared dead in the eyes at the arms dealer and then to her daughters. His eyes eventually noticed the unexpected arrival of the princess of Hell and her girlfriend.
Well… this is… interesting to him.
"Carmilla! It's… it's great to see you and your daughters!" he replied, trying to be friendly and respectful while calming his worries and then addressed her accomplices, "And I see that you've brought Charlie Morningstar and her girlfriend. May I ask why you all are here?"
Carmilla looks at her companions and then back at Qiang, "We need to talk. In private"
Qiang doesn't know why, but he feels like shit is going to happen soon.
The three angels listened intently to the outside conversation. But it looks like some of the demons, including the ones that have arrived, are going into a separate room to talk as the rest of the demons stayed to watch on guard.
The silence was deafening to say the least. It didn't help with their worries that something might happen.
But eventually, the silence soon ended as they heard grunts of pain and a bunch of fighting sounds came through their ears. The three of them grew more worried the more they listened.
Until the crate opens and it reveals a familiar plant sinner.
"Gracias a dios, you three are alright!" shouted the sinner, clearly Isabela.
After they unchain the binds and remove the gags, Luisa immediately hugs her older sister, crushing her limbs, "You're alright! You're alright and you're here, hermana!"
Luster, who was nearby trying up the unconscious demons, awed at the sight before her. Although the moment she heard something crack, the succubus couldn't help but be worried for her girlfriend.
Despite the bear hug making her wheeze, Isabela hugged back with tears in her eyes, "It's good to see you're here and safe as well."
Luisa let go and it was Dolores's turn to hug her prima as they were close back before shit happened, "It's good to see you, Isa."
"Good to see you too," Isa replied, her voice lighting up in happiness at her family being here.
As they let go, they also noticed more reunions taking place for their friends.
"It'ssss good to see you allllllll!" Sir Pentious exclaimed joyously, hugging Angel Dust, Husk, and Niffty in his arms as he bawled away many tears, "I've missssed you guysssss!"
Angel chuckles, "Glad to have you back, pal."
Husk sighs by how squished he felt but even still, he was also happy to see his friend again along with Niffy who was giggling happily.
Dolores and Luisa notice the passed out goons lying around, groaning in pain, "What happened?"
A demon, the one that told Qiang of Carmilla's presence, changed his appearance into Camilo, "Well, we had to come up with a way to distract him somehow."
Recognizing him, Dolores and Luisa immediately rushed over to him to give him a crushing hug, to which he hugged back.
As they ended the embrace, Camilo said, "Good to see you guys. How's the rest of the familia?"
"Doing good," Dolores replied, but her tone gave away immense worry, "What is going on? What's with this relation between this Qiang person?"
Camilo immediately looked away in nervousness, "Umm, it's a long and complicated story. So complicated that I'll tell you two all about it later."
It was obvious to anyone that he was avoiding the question.
Sighing, Husk says "Let's just get out of here before anything-"
Crash!*
The winged cat demon was soon interrupted as the wall burst out and a fight between Carmilla and Qiang broke out with him bloody to a pulp to even move. Along with Charlie, Vaggie, and the Carmine daughters who were fighting some of Qiang's men. The reptiles were clearly losing.
"What the fuck happened?" Isabela replied, looking at Vaggie who was pointing her spear at a green demon.
"Uhhh, it kind of escalated a bit," Vaggie replied, not really sure what had just happened. It was all happening so quickly.
"A bit?!" she asked incredulously.
Vaggie ignored her sister's exasperated voice but instead took her attention onto Dolores and Luisa, who were staring at her with wide eyes. They recognize her voice despite the change in appearance.
"Mirabel!" Luisa cried out, running to her little sister in crying happiness.
Before Vaggie could even react, she was immediately squished by her strong hermana who was practically carrying her off her feet. Vaggie couldn't help but grunt as she was feeling her bones on the verge of cracking, practically everyone can tell that it hurt.
Everyone watching this didn't know if they would be happy for the reunion or feel bad for the angel being bear hugged.
"Urg…" although her bones were yelling at her and was running out of breath, Vaggie smiled happily at her sister, "It's… good to see you too, Luisa… but can you please put me down."
Luisa nodded, letting go for Vaggie to finally breathe. Dolores came, giving the fallen angel a more gentler hug but still loving.
Camilo, Luster, and Isabela smiled. Everyone else smiled at the touching scene in front of them. They were back together.
Unfortunately, the heartwarming scene was soon cut short as a particular growl came. The one coming from Qiang. Everyone groaned in frustration. He's still around.
"You… bitches… really think this is… the end?... you-" he yelped out in pain as Carmilla stomped on his arm, holding him down.
"Stand down." she exclaimed, glaring at him and pressing harder for good measure. The arms dealer didn't like him ever since he started being a jerk the moment he changed.
At that moment, another betrayal. Qiang wanted to shout. To scream at them to fuck off in spite.
But he didn't do that.
Because he was just tired. So tired that he stopped trying. He was tired. Tired of betrayals. Tired of people leaving. Tired of yelling. Tired of being an asshole. Tired of losing those he cared for. Tired of being so angry all the time.
He was just so tired of everything.
Camilo watches the defeat in Qiang's eyes. He knew he shouldn't. He knew shouldn't do this for the person who treated him like shit.
But looking at Qiang's face, the shapeshifter needed to say something. One final something.
Not for the person who treated him badly. But for the person that he once was. Who he once truly was.
Camilo walked towards him, looking the dragon sinner directly in the eyes.
For a second, he was looking at himself in the mirror. So tired. So defeated.
Qiang was too tired to glare back. Just staring at him. "What do you want?"
"I should hate you," Camilo replied, "Maybe a little. But not fully. I remember the person you once were. The person who used to be my friend. Who I trusted by my side. But you let yourself change. You were the reason for driving everyone away. Not everyone else. You did this to yourself. I'm not telling you to fuck off. Instead, I hope you find yourself once again. Maybe I could consider hanging out with you again, but you need to work on yourself first before you can have anyone by your side."
Qiang slowly processed this. For once in his life… maybe he should listen.
Leaving that statement onto Qiang's mind, Camilo turns away, looking at everyone else who all had eyes on him. "C'mon everyone. Let's go home."
As they all left the warehouse building, Luster looked at him, "You really don't hate him, huh? You really do still like him."
Camilo sighs, "I wasn't… urgh, well… if wants anything to do with me, he needs to sort out his own problems. Nevertheless, I don't hate him. He just… doesn't know how to handle loss. I'm pretty sure everyone here understands that. Even you."
Luster thought about, then looking down sadly as she remembered a particular memory, "Yeah, I see what you mean. Still, he shouldn't have messed with your family just to get you back."
The chameleon scoffed, "That's why he needs to figure the shit out for himself first. I ain't helping him."
The succubus demon smiles at him proudly and lightly punches him, "That's my best friend right there!"
Camilo chuckles. Then he looks at each of his companions, who were also smiling proudly at both his words and actions.
Camilo grins. It now felt… relifting to him.
Now, I'm pretty sure everyone needs some time to unwind after everything that occurred.
Starting with the now talking to the new heavenly guest that has now arrived in Hell out of nowhere.
