(Hayley feral side)
Victor and Logan watched as Hayley skinned the moose that she had hung from a rope over a tree. As Hayley skillfully and efficiently removed the hide in one piece, Victor and Logan were impressed. Victor said, "You know that we could make money from selling these hides to local craftsmen who use them for leather goods." Logan nodded in agreement, adding, "It's definitely a valuable skill to have in the wilderness."
The sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the land. Hayley stopped to peer over to notice Victor and Logan disagreeing over who should start the fire for dinner. She chuckled to herself, knowing that their bickering was all in good fun. With a smile, she tried to offer to start the fire. Victor said, Not now, honey." "I have to put Jimmy in his place."
Hayley's mood changed, and her feral side became pissed off. She clenched her fists, growling and ready to defend herself if necessary. Victor's dismissive attitude towards her was not going to be tolerated any longer. She stood her ground, ready to assert herself and demand the respect she deserved. Hayley was determined to show Victor that she was not someone to be pushed aside or taken for granted.
When Hayley leaped from the ground, landed on the rail behind Victor, and thrust the knife blade into Victor's back, Logan noticed Victor stopped midsentence and spat blood from his lips. Victor's eyes widened in shock as he stumbled forward into Logan. Logan quickly reacted, catching Victor before he fell to the ground, his heart pounding with a mix of fear and admiration for Hayley's bold move. As Victor gasped for breath, Logan knew that things would never be the same between them.
"Why?" Victor said as he twisted his head. Hayley's response was straightforward: "You should have never underestimated me." In addition, you are both betas, and I am an alpha." Both Logan and Victor saw the sneer on Hayley's lips as they looked into her golden eyes. Victor understood that the young mate's body was controlled by her feral side.
Hayley dropped the knife, and it landed on the porch. Logan heard the knife strike the wooden porch, and Victor heard it too. They saw her turn, jump from the rail to the floor, and run into the mountain's forests.
Victor said, "We'll see about that," as he struggled to his feet, feeling a mix of anger and respect towards Hayley's display of strength and cunning. Logan said, "It would appear that Darlin feral is more than meets the eye." Victor smiled and said, "Now I understand why Gambit doesn't want us around her at this time." "Her feral side is uncontrollable."
Logan replied, "Vic, you know it took us time to control our feral side." As someone who has experienced the difficulties of reining in their own wild tendencies, Victor nodded in agreement. Victor replied, "Jimmy finished cutting up the moose and cooking dinner, while I will track her down." "Good luck, Vic." Logan remarked. Victor used his senses to find his young companion as he jumped off the front porch and ran into the woods.
(Victor hunt)
As the sun rose over the horizon, casting its golden light over the mountains. The birds began to chirp in harmony, welcoming the new day with their cheerful melodies. The cool morning air carried the scent of pine and wildflowers, creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The gentle rustling of leaves and the distant sound of a babbling brook added to the tranquility of the scene, making it feel like a perfect moment frozen in time. The world seemed to awaken slowly, as if savoring the beauty of the morning before diving into the hustle and bustle of another day.
Victor had tracked his little mate through the night and found it surprising that she had managed to evade him for so long. As he watched her from a distance, he couldn't help but admire her determination and resourcefulness. He knew that capturing her would not be easy, but he was determined to make her his own.
Hayley stopped near a lake, the sun casting a golden glow on her features as she knelt down to splash water on her face. Victor's heart skipped a beat at the sight of her, knowing that he had finally found his prey as he peered down from the hill above. With a sly smile, he began to carefully plan his approach, confident that he would soon have her in his grasp.
Hayley stopped and slowly turned her head when she heard the sound coming from her left. Victor stopped in his tracks and realized that his little mate must have heard him. He quickly adjusted his plan, deciding to approach her from a different angle to catch her off guard and ensure his success.
Hayley got to her feet and started walking into the lake to wash away her scent. Victor discovered his small partner was more perceptive than he had thought. To win her over, he knew he would have to be even more crafty. He also wanted to prove to her that he was her alpha. Victor watched his little disappear from his sight by going under the water. Now it was up to Victor to figure out where she had gone. He didn't realize that she was sitting at the bottom of the lake and waiting for him to leave.
Victor believed that she was swimming under the water, heading away from him. When Victor saw something slashing at the other end of the lake, he believed that it was her, not realizing it was an animal. As I dashed down the lakeside to where the splashing was,. Hayley moved to where she had seen a fallen tree that was half in the lake.
Slowly moved to the fallen tree, using the tree as cover to see Victor had gone to the other side of the lake in hopes of catching her. Hayley peeked out from behind the fallen tree, carefully observing Victor's movements as he searched for her. Hayley smiled, knowing that she had outfoxed Victor. She quietly slipped away, making her escape without Victor noticing.
Hayley moved to the bank; she disappeared behind the trees and moved away from Victor. Deeper into the mountains. Hayley couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction at outsmarting him. She knew she had successfully evaded capture and felt a rush of adrenaline as she continued on her journey deeper into the mountains, away from Victor's reach. The thrill of the chase only added to her excitement as she plotted her next move.
As Victor came to realize, it was a beaver building its dam. Not his little mate , but a hardworking animal in its natural habitat. Victor couldn't help but admire the beaver's dedication and skill in constructing such a complex structure. Soon realized that Zoe must have been sitting under the water waiting for Victor to leave the area so that she could move.
Victor laughed and knew that his little mate was smarter than he had originally thought. He decided to sit back and observe the beaver's work, appreciating the beauty of nature unfolding before him. Victor felt a sense of peace and connection with the natural world as he watched the beaver continue its construction. He made a mental note to share this experience with Zoe when she resurfaced.
After an hour of watching the beaver, he stood up and moved back around the lake. When Victor noticed boot tracks leading away from the lake into the mountains and realized that Sweetheart was heading in that direction, he quickened his pace to catch up with her. As he followed the tracks, he couldn't shake the feeling of excitement and anticipation building inside him.
(Return to cabin)
Logan was sitting on the porch, having a beer, when he noticed Victor coming through the woods with his Darlin over his shoulder and his arm wrapped around her waist while holding her in place. Logan notices that Victor has a menacing look in his eyes, and he quickly realizes that he missed the fun.
Logan started to laugh and asked, "What trouble did you two get into this time?" Victor grinned mischievously and replied, "It would seem that sweetheart needs to learn her lesson that I'm the alpha and not the beta." Logan chuckled and shook his head, knowing that Victor's possessive behavior could sometimes be a bit much. He decided to play along and said, "Well, I hope you didn't scare her too much this time."
Hayley said, "Put me down!" Victor slapped Hayley's ass and said, "You be quiet." Logan raised an eyebrow at Victor's actions, knowing that he needed to intervene before things escalated further. Victor said, I do believe that our little mate needs to learn a lesson in the bedroom.
Logan stood up from his chair to stop Victor before he went overboard when they heard a gunshot. Hayley's body went limp. Logan said, "Sniper!" Victor placed Hayley's body down on the porch to discover that his mate had been shot.
Victor and Logan quickly scanned the area for any signs of the shooter, ready to protect Hayley at all costs. When Victor saw the glint of a rifle scope in the distance, he knew they were dealing with a skilled marksman. As Victor leaped over the rail, landed on the ground, and started sprinting to intercept the shooter.
As Logan peered down at his darling to notice that she had been shot, the second shot rang off and hit Logan in the shoulder. As Victor reached the sniper location, he noticed the scent of gunpowder in the air, confirming their suspicions that they were dealing with a professional assassin. With adrenaline pumping, Victor followed the scent deeper into the wood to discover who the assassin was.
Logan clenched his teeth in pain but remained focused on protecting Hayley. The urgency of the situation was palpable as they realized they were in a dangerous and unpredictable situation. Logan noticed the bullet in Hayley started coming out of her body.
Hayley's eyes snapped open, and Logan noticed they were gold. Hayley said, "That fucking hurt!" Before Logan could say or move an inch, Hayley flipped over on her hands and feet. Seconds later, Logan watched her jump onto the rail and lead off and dash into the woods, the same path that Victor had traveled in the location sniper. Logan knew he had to act fast to keep up with Hayley's sudden burst of energy. As he followed her into the woods, he couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched.
