Izuku had been ready for today, knowing that at least for a few of the students it would be utterly awful.

Most likely didn't know they would need a change in their diet, or that what they were eating would be so important, that was par for the course.

However, Izuku had not been ready for everything apparently.

To be fair to Izuku, how the hell was he supposed to know that two of his students would have brain damage due to previous counselors not only dropping the ball, but chucking it so hard it broke upon hitting the ground?

Like, Izuku knew logically that quirk counseling had been a very stifled field due to All For One's interference, heavily affected by his and the doctor's meddling actually.

But who the heck would let a child's brain destroy itself?

God it was times like this that Izuku wanted to drink something just so he didn't have to think about how moronic or malicious humans could be for no damn reason.

At the very least Izuku managed to keep his composure until Shouto and Natsuo left the medical wing.

At which point he let his smile fall from his face and grabbed a pillow off one of the medical cots, took a very deep breath and then screamed bloody murder into the pillow.

Once he ran out of breath Izuku pulled up and gasped for breath.

"Hm, ten minutes… I think that's a new record." Shuzenji-San commented.

Izuku huffed.

"For me? Sure, but that isn't even half the world record for a two-toes." Izuku muttered putting the pillow back down.

"Where are we on running the blood samples?" Izuku asked, taking the brand new prescription and placing it into his bag to give to Shinsou later.

"Down five and working on the sixth if you want to start helping." Shuzenji-San informed him, offering up a vial of blood for him to take.

Izuku nodded and took the vial and set himself up at the other workstation.

Nezu would be down soon to speak with him and Shuzenji-San of the things that they needed to talk about for the students.

Mainly the wrecking of Shinsou's former schools no doubt and maybe Denki's school as well would be given a hard look over as well in their counselors.

Adjustments to some of the students' learning aids as well would be necessary.

Denki, Hagakure and Jurota would do better with verbal recordings of the lessons given their brains it would be the better option for them.

Izuku was very proud though that his students were banding around each other in spite of the fact that they hadn't known each other for long.

He'd be looking forward to going out with the rest of the teachers next Sunday more than he probably should have, considering he would be watching over a bunch of drunk adults and ensuring they made it back to the campus in tact.

Or at least clothed.

He just needed to finalize the details of which bar he'd bring the teachers to, it would have to be one of Юрий-Сан's bars obviously but he'd need to speak with Юрий-Сан about how to handle bringing a bunch of heroes to a bar in a red-light district.

The echoed patter of claws peeked Izuku's attention and he looked up to see the vents, Izuku quirked a brow but didn't say anything and merely returned his focus to the sample he was running.

Eventually Nezu was directly overhead and began to unscrew the vent cover, likely with his claws.

Izuku had to give Nezu props for how quietly he could sneak in without making that much noise.

Nezu waited up in the vents until Izuku was able to put everything down, and held open his arms before his friend lept down from the ceiling vent.

"Hi Nezu, did Shuzenji-San already tell you about Shinsou?" Izuku asked, setting Nezu down in the seat next to him.

"Yes, she gave me a rough overview, if you wouldn't mind giving me more details?" Nezu answered.

"I wasn't able to get the exact details, nor could I give them without direct permission from him, but as a mandatory reporter I have to tell you when this clearly is a case of flat-out abuse and intentionally malicious neglect." Izuku reminded Nezu.

"Of course, Izuku." Nezu replied, giving a soft pat to his arm.

"Shinsou was never allowed to use his quirk during his mandatory quirk class hours since no one 'volunteered', and I severely doubt that Shinsou's quirk counselors 'allowed' him to use his quirk either." Izuku explained to Nezu.

Nezu's ears folded back and his tail whipped with his immediately risen ire.

"Ah, quirk discrimination, yes?" Nezu questioned with a more feral looking smirk on his muzzle.

Izuku scoffed.

"Undoubtedly and judging from the phone call Aizawa-San had with Shinsou's mother he probably wouldn't be able to use his quirk at home, but it would be harder to prove any neglect on their part in particular." Izuku bitterly informed him.

Nezu gave a more human like hum of dissatisfaction, his tail taking on a swaying pattern which showed his anger stewing under the surface.

Izuku gave a quick look to Shuzenji-San, making sure she was looking down a microscope before he reached over stroked Nezu's head to help with his friend with the sudden rise in anger.

Nezu quickly licked his palm.

"I shall start an investigation right away into Nabu middle school as well as Shinsou's elementary too." Nezu stated.

Izuku nodded "I wouldn't expect anything less." Izuku commented "Do tell me when you get to the point of needing to interview Shinsou so I can tell him, I won't let him be blindsided." Izuku requested.

Nezu nodded his head.

"I will, I wouldn't want to destress the boy more than he'll already be." Nezu promised.

"Would you be able to help in the gathering of evidence though your… connections?" Nezu inquired.

Izuku sighed and shook his head.

"Not unless you want the buildings burnt to the ground and the counselors to disappear overnight." Izuku warned.

"Ah yes, that would be… unfortunate." Nezu commented, his words half-hearted but Izuku felt similarly so he didn't say anything.

Izuku severely doubted that Shinsou was the only kid that the schools and staff had abused before, and they would certainly deserve whatever Юрий-Сан would do to them, but the kids deserved to have actual closure about what happened to their abusers.

"How about the others, anything else that would need my personal attention?" Nezu inquired.

"Someone needs to have a talk with Kaminari's old counselors, mainly for allowing him to give himself possible brain damage for how he's using his quirk." Izuku informed Nezu before checking the machine when it dinged.

"He's not at the same level of neglect as Shinsou, but he wasn't getting proper advice since he had no idea he was risking possible brain damage with how he was using his quirk." Izuku clarified, noting down the results of the sample.

"Hm, I'll look into that as well." Nezu told him, with a small nod.

"As for the appointments, we'll have five of the students come in tomorrow for brain scans, Kaminari and Shinsou for the damage they could have, and simply the others will just be in for seeing how their brain reacts when using their quirks." Izuku explained to him.

Nezu hummed in a human way.

"That is more than we expected, I'm glad we chose to rent the equipment for the whole day." Nezu mused.

"What about the other tests?" Nezu asked.

"We'll run further tests on about five of the students' blood samples, but only a couple of them will need a second blood draw. We'll need to get a better understanding on two of the students' circulation systems." Izuku answered.

"A possible tissue biopsy for one student but they'll discuss it with their family first since it isn't a necessary test. We'll run a couple other samples too, a saliva sample and get a break down of the 'tape' Sero gave for us to test." Izuku further detailed for his friend.

"Five will need their vitals monitored while actively using their quirks and only two we'll need to monitor for extended testing for expanding their quirk's usage." Izuku listed off next.

"Honestly, if nothing comes up in Fukidashi's blood test then I think he'll be the only one that won't require any additional help other than having a physical more often, maybe three times a year instead of annually." Izuku said dragging his hand down his face before he prepared the next blood sample.

"Then I expect the two of you will be rather busy in the upcoming days." Nezu replied.

"When aren't we Nezu?" Izuku playfully asked, shaking his head.

Nezu chuckled, his tail now in a lazy sway.

"True, true. Have you and Shuzenji-San talked about making a schedule for the other tests?" Nezu inquired.

"Not yet," Shuzenji-San piped up, apparently ready to partake in their conversation now.

"Natsuo and I have though, we'll do the vital checks and the circulation tests the day after the brain scans." Shuzenji-San informed them.

"Second blood draws will happen on Wednesday, we can also have Aizawa-San help monitoring his students that day." Shuzenji-San said next.

Izuku considered that, before nodding.

It would take a few days to prepare the things Aizawa-San would use to monitor Sato and Kamakiri's progress and reactions to the changes in diet.

It would also free up the rest of the week for any other testing that would be needed for the kids.

It would make the most sense to do things that way, even if he wouldn't be there for all of the testing in person since he'd have his rounds and classes in the districts.

Oh well, it was for his students.

"I don't have any problems with that Shuzenji-San, will we have to make any changes with the people renting us the equipment?" Izuku asked Nezu.

"Not at all." Nezu cheerfully answered.

"Speaking of scheduling things, I went ahead and booked one of the training grounds for you Izuku, I figured that you would appreciate an hour to blow off some steam after all that has happened." Nezu informed him.

Izuku hummed, looking down the microscope once again.

"The third year one, with the shooting range and dummies?" Izuku guessed.

"The very same!" Nezu confirmed clapping his paws.

Izuku sighed.

"Thank you, I will need the stress relief… " Izuku admitted.

He wasn't a violent person, but there was definitely something about physically getting his frustrations out of his system that was cathartic.

"Oh, right, I'll be talking with Inui-San about one of my students tomorrow as well, I can't share details." Izuku told Nezu, having almost forgotten about it.

"Hm, should I clear some of Inui-San's schedule for you?" Nezu offered.

Izuku huffed and threw Nezu a look before lightly swatting at Nezu's shoulder.

"Don't you dare, I'll talk with him in the afternoon after we're both done with our work and appointments." Izuku said.

Even if Nezu liked teasing his staff Izuku wouldn't want Inui-San to have heart-attack.

"Focus your attention on Nabu Nezu and stop being mean to your staff." Izuku instructed, making Nezu laugh.

Izuku sighed hearing that and shook his head, turning back to his work on the blood samples and recording the data.

"Just go alright. The sooner you leave the sooner we can start hanging Shinsou's old schools." Izuku said.

"If you insist Izuku," Nezu agreed "Though would you mind giving me a hand up?" Nezu asked.

Ah, right Nezu would want to put the vent grate back in place and not leave it open.

Izuku placed the sample down and held open his arms so Nezu could climb into them, then Izuku grabbed a different chair without wheels so it wouldn't wobble or roll away.

Stepping onto the chair then held Nezu up so he could get back into the ventilation ducts.

"Happy hunting Nezu." Izuku called before he stepped back down.

Nezu's human laugh echoed in the ducts, followed by the clacking of claws once the vent grate was back in place.

Izuku shook his head at Nezu's antics.

Izuku: I, it-it... Flames, flames on the side of my face, breathing... breathing-heaving flames.

Nezu: Are you sure you don't want your side of things to handle this?

Izuku: And rob those kids of closure? Not a fucking chance.
