You know, for a day that where he learned that he might have possible brain damage, Denki thought it wasn't going that bad.

Like knowing that was still super scary, but there was a high chance that he wouldn't have any permanent damage which should hopefully be fixable.

And he wouldn't be kicked out of the hero course despite his condition.

Oh, and as an extra sweet bonus he was getting closer with some of the girls in his class, including cute dino girl.

She even told him to call her by a cute nickname!

Suna totally fit a cute and funny girl like her.

And she was super funny! Like really, really funny.

She happily joked with him as they all walked back to the dorms after Toru got her blood taken.

Denki couldn't wait to trade memes with her once they got back, he knew his folder of dinosaur memes would come in handy for more than a laugh one day, though he could use one too since the whole brain damage thing was still kind of lingering in the back of his mind.

Yao and Toru were fun too though, and it was cool to be the one to explain something for once instead of being the one that was clueless.

"I can't wait to see what kind of team you'll make Yao! We should totally have a battle once you beat the champion." Denki said after they convinced Yao to give Pokémon a try.

"Oh, oh do you think we can get some of the others to do a big Pokémon tournament? There has to be at least a few others that play too." Toru excitedly brought up.

"Definitely, sounds like a good way to bond too, start some sort of game night in the dorms." Suna suggested.

"Yeah that would be so awesome." Denki agreed thinking of how awesome it would be, the gaming club he was part of in middle school was so much fun and he'd love to keep doing that here in U.A.

"Oh, I have heard of those before, I'd love to try that. Wannabe-San always said her family game nights were fun and I have always wanted to experience it myself." Yao said looking just as excited.

"Yay game night! I can't wait to ask the others when we get back." Toru exclaimed with even more bounce in her step.

"Game night!" Suna cheered with him before they all burst into laughter.

By the time they had gotten back to the dorms Denki was feeling much better, planning on heading up to his room and digging out his game system so they could get Yao set up to try out Pokémon generations.

But he was stopped upon seeing one of the big guys in their class waiting by the entrance, the non-fluffy one… Sho, Shoji! The guy's name was Shoji!

"Oh, hey big guy, what 'cha doing?" Denki asked, waving to him.

"Uki and I thought it would be best to stick around down here in case anyone needed a shoulder after meeting with Deku-Sensei." Shoji answered.

"We know that a meeting like this might stir up some intense emotions." Shoji elaborated after a moment.

Denki blinked with a small "Huh." Falling out of his mouth.

"That's super nice of you." Toru complimented.

"Yeah, we definitely could have used something like that after we got out of the medical wing." Suna said with her arms loosely crossed.

Shoji looked between them all.

"I'm guessing what you guys had to talk about dipped into the heavier side of things, didn't it?" Shoji said.

Denki chuckled awkwardly and rubbed the back of his neck.

"Kinda, I mean learning you were using your quirk in such a bad way that you might have actually damaged your brain is pretty heavy right?" Denki asked, intending for it to be a joke but the silence afterwards made him want to wince.

And… there went all of the nice energy they had going.

Could the floor just open up and swallow him up right now?

"Do you want a hug?" Shoji offered after a minute.

Denki blinked a few times.

"Uh, sure dude?" Denki replied a bit uncertain how hugging would even work out with how tall Shoji was, and all of the guy's extra arms.

Shoji moved forward and then before he realized it, he was suddenly lifted off the ground.

A somewhat embarrassing 'eep' came from him as he was unceremoniously scooped up into Shoji's arms and cradled to the guy's chest.

Denki's brain was still processing what was happening, which was probably why his brain to mouth filter had too much lag to stop what he was about to say next.

"Do I weight anything to you?"

Shoji surprisingly shrugged.

"Like a couple grapes." Shoji answered further stunning Denki and making Suna nearly bust a gut as she started laughing.

"Dude." Denki couldn't help saying.

Cause Shoji didn't look like the kind of guy to meme, well not outside of the 'no body will ever believe you' sort of meme.

"My friend Awa-Kun showed me that meme a lot." Shoji told him, thankfully not in a 'I'm so done with you' way, so he was probably not upset with him for the joke.

Which was good because Denki would really prefer not to be dropped right now.

"Meme?" Yao said, reminding Denki how sheltered she was.

Seriously what good parents don't introduce their kid to the joys of Pokémon even in plushie form?

"It's a word for a type of internet joke, usually in the form of a still image with text or a very short clip that repeats itself called a gif." Denki told her.

"Yeah, the humor can be hit or miss though for some people, inside knowledge or having the context of the picture shown usually helps, I'll show you some Yao." Suna explained grabbing out her phone and typing away on it.

"Oh wait, what about your guys' rooms? Didn't you say you needed help with your bed Yao?" Toru brought up before they got sucked into a meme spiral.

Yao flushed once she was reminded about this and brought a hand up to her face.

"I'm not sure what there is we could do, I will probably have to just send a lot of my things back." Yao confessed to them.

Suna scoffed "Non-sense! Let us be the judge of that Yao." Suna told her, lightly punching Yao's shoulder.

"Now c'mon, we should go now so that we can have supper at a decent time before bed." Suna proclaimed taking Yao by the shoulder and dragging her to the elevator and stairs.

"Yeah, Yao give us a chance first!" Toru exclaimed as she gently pushed Yao along, giggling a little.

"Bakugou will be making everyone dinner, so you don't have to worry about making anything unless you want to." Shoji called over his shoulder as the three girls.

Getting a few 'woo's from the small group.

"Oh, that was explode-o-boy right? Do you know what he's making?" Denki asked.

Shoji hummed, making a new hand and sniffing the air before he answered.

"Mille-Feuille Nabe currently." He paused and then added "And shrimp tempura I think."

"You can tell that just from the smell?" Denki asked slightly amazed.

"Yes, I've been training to track smells over long distances, I thought it would be useful regardless of the branch of heroics I go into." Shoji replied.

"Dude that's so cool, have you trained any of your other senses?" Denki asked.

Shoji nodded.

"My hearing is rather good and I've been working on trying to expand my field of vision to other light spectrums." Shoji informed him.

"Oh, like heat or night vision?" Denki questioned.

"Yup! And he's getting closer to it every day." A girl proudly proclaimed, and Shoji flushed as he turned to her.

Letting Denki see it was the gravity girl, now named Uki in his mind.

"Uki." Shoji said like he was a bit embarrassed.

"What it's true?" Uki teasingly told him, and Shoji's face turned pinkish.

"Hey, are you doing okay?" Uki asked turning her attention towards Denki instead.

Denki blinked confused before he remembered she probably meant his meeting with Deku-Sensei.

"Yeah, like I didn't get the best news but Deku-Sensei was super nice about it and says I'll probably be fine." Denki answered.

Uki nodded "That's good, tell us if you need anything okay? Jiji and I are here if you need us." Uki told him.

"Thanks, I will if I need anything." Denki said back then he remembered game night thing.

"Oh, Yao, Suna, Toru and I are thinking of putting together a game night with everyone, would either of you guys be interested?" Denki asked.

"Sure, I haven't played much myself but I'd like to give it a try." Uki agreed "Awa-Kun would probably like to join to if you don't mind him coming." Uki mentioned.

"Totally fine, open invite for everybody interested." Denki told her.

"Great, we can ask the rest of the class once it's supper time." Uki said nodding her head.

Before the conversation could continue Shoji turned around and Denki could see as the other large guy from their class walk into the common room.

"Oh Jurota-San, how are you doing?" Uki asked walking around Shoji to where Denki could see her from out of the corner of his eye.

Jurota stilled as if he didn't expect to be greeted.

"I'm alright Uraraka-San, just going back up to my room to finish unpacking." Jurota answered.

"Okay, Bakugou's making supper for everyone, it'll be done in about half an hour if you want anything." Uki told him.

"Ah, that would be nice, I'll be sure to come down for a plate and thank Bakugou-San for going out of his way Uraraka-San." Jurota said with a nod.

"No problem, and you can just call me Uki Jurota-San." Uki insisted waving her hand.

"If that's what you want Uki-San." Jurota replied nodding his head, and started moving towards the stairs and back to his room no doubt only to pause and sniff the air, a funny look on his face as it twisted up.

"Hey, is something wrong Jurota-San?" Uki asked and Shoji took his own turn to sniff the air.

"Shinsou is greatly distressed, and Kirishima is deeply worried about him and their both coming pretty fast." Shoji answered when Jurota hesitated.

Uki's face turned very stern and nodded.

"I'll help them, could you tell Bakugou about making a plate for them to have in their rooms?" Uki requested.

"Of course." Shoji said back then turned and walked over to the kitchen area, reminding Denki once again that he was in Shoji's arms.

Which as nice as it was all warmly tucked in the big guy's arms, he would like to be put down now.

"Uh, would you mind putting me down now?" Denki asked.

"Oh, right. Of course, Kaminari-San." Shoji replied gently letting him down and allowing him to get his legs back before letting go of him.

"Totally fine dude, and you can just call me Denki buddy." Denki told him patting one of his arms.

Shoji nodded before continuing on to the kitchen by himself.

Denki turned back around just in time to watch as Uki rushed to open up the front doors, the reason being clear as Kirishima walked right on in carrying Shinsou.

"Thanks- Uh, can't really talk- " Kirishima said between pants "Got to-" Kirishima said trying to excuse himself but Uki waved her hands.

"You don't need to explain, let me help you get back since your hands are full." Uki told Kirishima.

Kirishima's shoulders slumping out of relief.

"Thank you." Kirishima said, shifting Shinsou.

"It's no problem, which floor are we going to?" Uki asked as they made their way to the elevator.

"Third, all of us are on the third floor Uki." Denki commented joining them for the ride up, Uki nodded and pressed the correct button.

Then there was a bit of silence once the doors closed, and feeling a touch awkward Denki reached into his pocket and pulled out the fidget that Deku-Sensei got him, so he could focus his thoughts.

"So, um none of my business, but I'm guessing you got bad news from Deku-Sensei too?" Denki said.

Kirishima bit his lip.

"Yeah, but I don't think it's my place to… " Kirishima answered clearly uncertain of what he should or should not be saying.

Denki quickly held up his hands.

"Hey, you don't have to go into details, but later if he wants he could totally talk about it with me. I mean we both got some bad news about our quirks, and we can maybe commiserate together. I mean it doesn't get worse than possible brain damage, right?" Denki offered only for his mouth to run away from him as he started rambling.

Kirishima's eyes went wide.

"Did… did Deku-Sensei tell you that you have brain damage too?" Kirishima timidly asked.

Oh.

Oh.

No wonder Shinsou was so broken up.

"Deku-Sensei said I'd need to get a brain scan to confirm, but there's a good chance since I've got some with how forgetful I am." Denki answered.

"I'm sorry." Kirishima told him.

"Don't worry about it, Suna, Yao and Toru have been really great about it and we're going to have a study group together to make sure I don't forget any of the assignments. You guys could join us too if you want." Denki assured him, throwing out the offer as well.

"I'll talk with Shinsou about it, once he's had some time to decompress." Kirishima said back.

"Of course, man, no pressure." Denki told him.

"Do you think Shinsou would want to pet something? I can go ask Koda if we could borrow Yuwai-Chan for a few minutes?" Uki asked.

"Um, I don't know-" Kirishima started to answer but Shinsou spoke up.

"Yes please." Shinsou's voice was gravellier and hoarser, maybe from crying but Denki couldn't see his face so he couldn't be sure.

"Got it, I'll go talk with him." Uki promised with a nod.

The doors opened shortly after and they all stepped off, Uki rushing over to the stairs and heading down while Denki walked with Kirishima over to where Shinsou's room was.
