Last part of Sisters! Thanks again to everyone who left reviews, followed, and/or favorited this story. It means a lot! Also, I wanted to clarify that was not Evan's only appearance. While he won't pop up as often as he did in my initial story, he will be making multiple appearances throughout the series.

Anyways, here's the final part of Sisters!

Sisters

(Raven)

Robin practically locked himself away in the training room when they arrived back at the tower. While he didn't say anything, it was clearly implied he wanted to be alone. Starfire immediately went to wash the trash off her body, and Blackfire asked Cyborg and Beast boy to play some video games with her. Raven sat nearby with a book, not quite trusting what Blackfire would say in her absence. After Robin admitted his own suspicions about the alien girl, Raven felt less alone in her dislike. Sure, Starfire had mixed feelings about her sister, but it's different with family (wouldn't she know it…). Robin was an objective stranger.

"What happened out there?" Beast boy blurted out as Cyborg started looking through their collection of games. "Blackfire, did you say something to upset him?"

Blackfire blinked innocently. "Me? No! He was having the time of his life before he left. When I went to go find him, it looked like he was having a fight with Raven."

Cyborg whirled around, forgetting completely about finding a game, and blurted out, "You're the one who pissed him off?"

Raven scowled. "I didn't."

Though the guilty feeling in her gut said otherwise.

"You sure?" Cyborg sounded skeptic. "He was totally fine before he went after you. Did you say something to him?"

"No."

"It must have been something!" Beast boy butted in. "A guy doesn't leave behind three beautiful women if it's not important."

"Why thank you!" Blackfire placed a hand on her chest, smiling at Beast boy, who flushed in response.

"So what did you do?" Cyborg leaned towards her. "You can tell us. We won't judge."

"I said nothing!"

Anger. Guilt. Frustration.

A hand on her thigh.

A betrayed look.

She didn't want to talk about this.

"Well whatever you said, it's gotten him in a mood," Cyborg grumbled, finally letting it go. "I haven't seen him like this since we first moved in together."

"Dude, I was thinking the same thing!" Beast boy exclaimed.

Blackfire's eyes narrowed with interest. "What do you mean?"

"We shouldn't be talking about this," Raven scowled at the two boys. "It's team business, and Blackfire is not part of the team."

Cyborg frowned, clearly conflicted. Blackfire must have noticed for she stood up and sultrily walked over to Cyborg, touching a hand against his arm. "I know I'm not part of the team, but I really thank you for suggesting me. It meant so much to me. I promise you guys can trust me."

Lies.

"Cyborg—" Raven warned.

"When we first made the team, he was just really snappy," Cyborg confessed. "He didn't spend any time with us. He was always locking himself in the training room, and we had to keep buying new supplies and punching bags cause he kept breaking them. It was thanks to Starfire that he finally started to lighten up and started to spend time with us. That's when we actually started feeling like a team."

Beast boy nodded in agreement.

Only to scream in alarm when the remote on the table exploded.

The three all turned to Raven, who clenched her fists and stood up. "You have no right to share his business with her," Raven hissed. "He wouldn't be happy about it, and you know it."

"No! How would I know?" Cyborg snapped, throwing his hands up in frustration. "The boy is confusing! First, he's acting all flirty with Blackfire, then he's super cold out of nowhere, and now apparently he's gotten in a fight with you! I don't know what he wants!"

"He certainly wouldn't want this." Raven glared at him. Without another word, she stood up and walked out of the room.

To calm down, she went to the roof, sitting on the edge with her feet dangling over the open air. Part of her wondered why she decided to come here, instead of her isolated room, but she didn't want to think of that right now. Instead, she lingered on Cyborg's words earlier. As much as she pained to admit it, he was right. Robin's behavior did remind her of how he used to be when they first formed the team. He was significantly more isolated and angrier then, and she was concerned that perhaps he was slipping back.

It took Starfire so much time to soften the boy, and Raven feared she may have undone all that hard work.

She sighed, staring up at the stars and wishing they had answers for her. How much of Robin and Raven's talk did Blackfire hear? Did she see anything? Did she see Robin's hand on—

She shook her head. She didn't want to think of such things.

Suddenly, she felt a presence. She sat up straighter and her eyes moved to the door. For a brief second, she foolishly hoped it was Robin, the source of her pondering; however, she knew that wasn't the case. She could never sense Robin, no matter how close or how far. Actually, this energy felt hopeful and light. It felt like—

Starfire bursted through the door only to gasp in surprise at Raven's presence. It probably didn't help that Raven was already staring in her direction, as though she was waiting for her. "Friend Raven!"

Raven cocked an eyebrow. "Yes?"

Starfire blushed and gave her a wide smile. "I did not expect to see you here! I expected to see Robin. He comes up here quite often, and I wanted to talk to him."

"He's not here."

"I see," Starfire nodded, awkwardly standing by the door. She shuffled her feet a bit and clasped her hands behind her back.

"Did you want something?"

Starfire shook her head. "No! No, I just… I suppose he is still training?"

"Yes."

"I see… I shouldn't bother him then," Starfire sighed. She glanced up and took a step towards Raven. "Thank you for earlier. I appreciate that you also did not want to let my sister on the team. Not that I don't want her on the team! I love my sister, of course. It's just… I…"

She fumbled for her words, and Raven didn't quite know what to say. It was odd. To her, Starfire was the girl who had everything: beauty, confidence, kindness, optimism, Robin's attention, and more. To see this moment of insecurity was new.

"Family is complicated." Raven finished for her.

Starfire grinned in relief. "Yes! Yes, family is complicated."

I suppose that's something we all have in common, Raven thought to herself. While she didn't know too much about any of the team's backstories, besides Robin's public history with Batman, she knew they couldn't be good. After all, they were all runaways in a sense.

Raven turned back to the stars, wishing the full moon was out again tonight. Though that may have cause more complications than it's beauty was worth. Surprisingly, Starfire remained on the roof. She actually slowly approached her, leaning her elbows along the concrete half-wall.

"What about your family?" Starfire implored.

Raven scowled.

Starfire blushed. "Oh… I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked."

Another pause.

As though she couldn't stand the silence, Starfire kept speaking, "I asked Robin about his family once, and he did not take it well either. You two are similar in that regard. You're right. Family is quite complicated. I'm happy we all found each other. Though we are not related, we all feel like family."

Yes, Raven thought to herself, I suppose we are.

She never had a real family before. She was mentored and trained, but she never experienced the true warmth of familial love before. It was a beautiful thing that she did not expect when she came to Earth. She thought she would hide away until the prophecy came to fruition, but now she was living with other teenagers, going out dancing, fighting crime, and eating pizza. She's even experienced romantic love.

She's never been so happy.

Starfire sighed. "Perhaps it is just me who thinks we are family…"

Raven turned to her, confused by her sudden depression. Before she could say anything to the contrary, she felt a sudden presence moving towards them. "Starfire," she whispered sternly. "Sound the alarm. Now."

"But why? We are alone—"

Too late. A set of green ropes that resembled the tentacle structure of the alien robots tangled around Starfire's body, gagging her mouth. Her eyes widened in surprised as she was yanked upward towards a flying alien platform. Raven cursed under her breath and immediately flew after her. She could hear Starfire attempting to scream through the gag, but it wasn't loud enough to alert the other Titans, who were all inside the tower unaware of the kidnapping occurring outside of their very home.

Raven sent her magic towards the ropes, though they were quite thick, and forced them to loosen. Starfire gasped in relief and flew towards her. They both raced towards the roof with the aliens flying after them at high speed.

Starfire sharply turned around, firing starbolt after starbolt at the alien perpetrators. Raven landed on the roof and dashed towards one of the few control panels, snapping it open and pressing the alarm. When they first built the tower, Robin insisted on putting an alarm on every single room, including the roof, which Raven was now incredibly grateful for. She could hear the sirens going off in the tower, and she knew backup was near.

She turned around and flew back towards Starfire, who was once again tangled in the ropes. Raven focused her magic on the flying platform, attempting to rip it apart so it could no longer fly. This stalled the speed of the ship and, once again, gave Starfire enough time to disentangle herself. Eventually, Raven's single minded focus on destroying down the ship was successful. It started pluming towards the Titans Tower roof, crash landing right against their makeshift volleyball field.

Just in time for the rest of the team to appear on the roof.

The two aliens staggered onto their feet. They were massive in build and their amor was robotic, making them resemble Cyborg without any flesh. Their eye slots glowed a bright yellow, and Raven flinched at how there were two slot sets for each eyes. It resembled… no time to think of that now. Their amor was a mix of red and gray, and their hands looked like black claws.

"Titans," Cyborg warned. "Get ready."

They braced themselves for battle when, surprisingly, it was Robin who held his hand out, ceasing their movements.

Beast boy blinked. "Uh, dude, what are you doing?"

Robin stepped forward towards the aliens. "It's not Starfire you're looking for. She's innocent."

Surprisingly, the two aliens paused. Instead the two of them glanced at each other, and one moved forward towards Robin. "She has the Centauri moon diamond around her neck. She is clearly guilty. We will take her back to Centauri and put her on trial for all her crimes."

"What?" Starfire gasped, her hands going right to the beautiful gem around her neck.

"Her sister gave it to her," Robin argued. "She had no idea it was stolen."

"It was stolen?" Starfire exclaimed. "By Blackfire? But no… she wouldn't…"

Robin turned to Starfire, his expression apologetic. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner," he said. "But she told me herself. She stole it, and I guarantee she knew she was in trouble. That's why she came here. She wanted to hide out."

"What?" Beast boy sounded equally baffled as Starfire.

"And you didn't tell us?" Cyborg angrily asked. "That would have been nice to know!"

"We do not have time for these games," the alien interrupted. "We demand the diamond back as well as the arrest of the one who stole it."

"We can do that." Robin turned to Starfire, who still appeared to be in shock. Robin hesitantly approached her and held out his hand. Starfire nodded and her hands went to the necklace clasp, and she unlocked it from her neck. She placed it in his hands, and Robin gave her a soft smile. She hesitantly smiled back.

There's that look of love, Raven couldn't help but think. Before she could wallow in self-pity, Raven felt yet another presence. She closed her eyes and honed in on it.

It was a malicious, desperate energy.

Robin handed the diamond back to the, presumably, Centauri aliens. He turned to Starfire and declared, "Don't worry, Star, she won't get away with this."

"She's escaping," Raven stated.

Starfire gasped and her eyes immediately went to the sky. Sure enough, Blackfire was flying away from the tower. Starfire clenched her fists and growled, "No, she will NOT!"

She blasted into the sky without further word.

Robin glanced at the broken platform parts scattered around the volleyball field. "You guys need help fixing that?" He asked.

The sun was rising by the aliens left with Blackfire in their capture.

It was all thanks to Starfire, who put her heart and soul into the fight with her sister. Raven could feel her desperate need to prove herself, to beat her older sister in battle, and to make her finally face accountability for her actions. While Raven couldn't hear any exact words that were spoken during the fight, she could easily guess the kinds of taunts Blackfire used against her. Raven was quite proud that Starfire rose above her sister's cruelty and proved herself to be the better warrior.

She even proved herself to be the kinder warrior. When she defeated Blackfire and handed her over the the Centauri police, she still vowed she would visit her sister in prison. She even thanked her for her visit! Her kindness was unmatched, and Raven wished she could be as good as the alien girl.

Robin congratulated Starfire, who beamed at him. "I am so happy! I'm relieved the truth came out before I was replaced."

"Replaced?"

Starfire blushed. "Well… you seemed to be having so much fun with her. All of you did. I just… I worried she was taking my place."

"Of course not!" Robin sounded upset on her behalf. "Sure, she was… interesting, but no one could ever take your place. You're part of this team, and you always will be."

"Oh Robin!" Starfire practically swooned.

Raven couldn't help but stare yearningly at the scene. Robin and Starfire were standing close together on the roof with the sun rising behind them. The love that Starfire felt was practically overflowing and, though Raven couldn't feel Robin's emotions, she assumed he felt the same as well. It was something straight out of one of those romantic dramas that Starfire made them watch when it was her turn for movie night.

"Guess we finally got them their moment after all," Beast boy smirked at Cyborg.

Cyborg scowled. "Yeah… sure."

"Oh friends!" Starfire turned to the rest of the team. "I shall thank you all by reciting the poem of gratitude! All six thousand verses!"

The team practically balked.

"Um… as much as I'd love to hear your poem… I really need to sleep," Beast boy slowly stepped away from the girl. He faked a yawn for good measure. "We've been up all night, and I just really need some rest."

"Yeah," Cyborg nodded, following Beast boy's lead. "What he said."

The two of them practically dashed away.

"Friend Raven?" Starfire's attention turned to her. Her eyes were sparkling, and she inched closer and closer.

"Um…" Raven fumbled for an excuse. Almost out of habit, she glanced at Robin. She knew her eyes were pleading, as though he could save her from this horrifying poem. Usually, he intervened and distracted Starfire, but this time he just stared blankly at her.

It was unnerving.

"I need to meditate," she lied, her hands feeling clammy.

"Oh," Starfire pouted. "Robin?"

Robin shook his head. "I'm going back to the training room. I'm glad you're okay, Star, I really am. I just… I need some time."

Without another look her way, he walked off the roof and out of her sight. Raven stood there for a moment, uncertainty gripping her heart. Even though the situation with Blackfire was resolved, he still seemed… off. She could feel Starfire's worries as well.

Hopefully, he would snap out of in once he broke a couple punching bags.

And that concludes Sisters! It was a bit on the shorter side. Which do you guys prefer? Longer chapters with fewer updates or shorter chapters with more updates? My initial plan was to combine this chapter and the previous chapter, but it would have taken longer to update.

The next chapter is Divide & Conquer!
