Pokemon: Destiny Deoxys Part 1

One moonlight night, somewhere in the arctic part of the Pokemon World, there are a herd of Spheal and their evolved forms Sealeo and Walrein living peacefully. A short distance away, there is a research boat floating in the icy water, where a few people with their supplies are on the icy shore.
Among them is a man named Professor Lund. He's wearing a green winter suit and black gloves for the weather. He has light beau blue hair, and grayish colored eyes.
Walking over is his assistant, Yuko. A woman who is wearing a pink winter suit and black gloves. She has darkish brown hair and brown eyes.
Yuko walks over and asks, "Professor Lund, have you seen Tory?
Prof. Lund hands the binoculars over to her, "Take a look, Yuko."
Yuko takes the binoculars and searches to spot the small boy, Tory, heading towards the herd.
"Uh huh. There's no keeping up with him," Yuko says.
Tory is a young small boy with beau blue hair and blue eyes. From the looks of his age he seems to be around five or even six years old. The little boy stops on a snowy ledge and looks out over the herd in wonder. He suddenly hears a small cry and looks down to see a very young Spheal has approached him.
"Wow, a Spheal," Troy says and crouches down to it, "Hi," and pets it gently.
The Spheal happily hops up and down, before accidentally tumbling backwards and rolls down the ledge. That causes Tory to laugh before looking up to see the Northern Lights in astonishment. He watches the beauty of the lights as they changes colors
But outside of the planet, a large meteor with two glowing objects inside comes descending to the planet. That ends up catching the attention of Rayquaza, the Sky High Pokemon. Rayquaza is a large, green, serpentine Pokémon that also resembles a missile. It has red-tipped, rudder-like wings on its shoulders and down its body, and similarly patterned fins on the tip of its tail. Yellow ring-like symbols run across the length of Rayquaza's body and it has an additional yellow ring on top of its head. Rayquaza has two limbs with three-clawed hands, and two long, flat, horn-like structures on its head, with two shorter horns along its jawline. It has small, yellow eyes with black pupils, prominent pink gums, and two discernible fangs in its upper jaw.
It spots the meteor, and it flies right past it. The Pokemon isn't taking a liking to it.
Down on the ground, Professor Lund and Yuko notice the meteor falling down to earth, as does Tory. And finally, the meteor crashes into the snowy terrain, causing a massive boom and plume of snow. That causes the herd to panic and fright and flee to safety. The collision of the meteor also causes the quake which causes the ledge Tory is standing to crack and give way, sending him to fall down towards the stampeding herd as they make their way to the water.
And soon, a bright light shines from the area of the impact where the meteor has landed.
Back to the stampede, Tory tries to get away, but ends up getting shoved around until he reaches a small icy mold, forcing him back. The stampede continues fleeing around Tory and the mold, but Tory becomes so frightened that he passes out on the spot.
Prof. Lund rushes towards his son as he calls out, "Tory?!" reaching his son, Prof. Lund picks him up, "You're okay, son. I've got you," and takes him back to cam.
Weakly, Tory is able to say, "Thank you, daddy."
Professor Lund and Yuko are able to reach the top of the ledge where they see the crater, made by the meteor, and notice a red creature with a blue face, and long tendril arms, legs, and eyes, and seems to have a purple crystal.
The Pokemon uses its psychic abilities to scan through the snow and find something. It then uses its psychic to clear the snow away, and finding what it's looking for, a green crystal. The tendrils then form regular arms, allowing the creature to pick up the crystal like a human)
"It's some kind of Pokémon. Isn't it?" Yuko asks.
"Yes. It's a Pokémon from outer space," Prof. Lund says.
The Pokemon uses its psychic once more after looking at the crystal, almost like it's communicating with it, or synchronizing with it. But just then, Rayquaza arrives and fires an Ice Beam Attack that traps the alien Pokemon in ice as it tries to escape.. However, the alien Pokemon breaks free, and drops the meteorite with the green crystal. The Rayquaza fires a Hyper Beam.
"That's Rayquaza! But it never leaves the ozone layer, so why now?" Yuko responds, shocked.
As Rayquaza and the alien meet in the sky, Rayquaza fires another Hyper Beam at the alien, blowing a part of its body away. Including two of its tendril arms. However, it mananges to regenerate its lost tendril limbs.
"It regenerated!" Prof. Lund says, shocked.
"But how's that possible?" Yuki asks.
The creature then changes into a new form and launches a Psycho Boost at Rayquaza. It hits the Pokemon hard and collapses right front of Prof. Lund, Tory, and Yuko.
"Let's go. It's too dangerous out here!" Prof. Lund says.
"Right!" Yuko says.
Prof. Lund and Yuko soon run back to camp.
With its vision mode, the alien spots Rayquaza getting up through the snow. Then it darts in and lands another attack, taking Rayquaza down to the snowy ground. However, Rayquaza gets up and fires another Hyper Beam Attack. The attack ends up hitting one of the machines, destroying it, while the two Pokemon continue their battle above. The creature sends out another Psycho Boost that destroys a tent and several pieces of research equipment, while also making Yuko stumble and fall
Prof. Lund turns to Yuko, "Are you okay, Yuko?"
The alien prepares to launch another Psycho Boost, but its vision gets blurry a bit and prompts it to halt its attack. On the ground, Prof. Lund and Yuko see that it's the sparking electricity from the damaged electronics and computers that were doing something to the creature.
Prof. Lund calls out, "Quick, follow me!"
"I'm right behind you," Yuko says as she gets up.
The two continue running with Tory in hand as Rayquaza fires another Hyper Beam attack. The alien Pokemon is proven to be powerful and uses Protect to defend itself before reuniting back to it's attack form and preparing another Psycho Boost. Rayquaza moves its head away as the attack ends up hitting the research vessel while the two continue to brawl over and around the camp, trading Hyper Beams and Psycho Boosts left and right, while the humans run for cover and the herd of Spheal, Sealeo and Walrein watch from the safety of the water. Rayquaza prepares to fire another Hyper Beam, but the alien launches a Psycho Boost that stops the attack before it is fired, sending Rayquaza falling into the ocean. The alien hovers over the area where Rayquaza went under and returns to its normal form, only for Rayquaza to burst out of the water and seemingly blow the alien into nothing with a pointblank Hyper Beam while its crystal core lands in the water and sinks down into the depths. With its job finished, Rayquaza returns to the ozone layer. And now, the only thing that remains is the green crystal the alien found.
The next morning, the people leave the arctic, taking the crystal with it. The crystal is barriedin a net while Professor Lund looks down at the ruined and partly destroyed camp.
Prof. Lund suspects, "Rayquaza was furious last night. Another Pokémon crossing into its territory had obviously threatened it."
Yuko nods as Tory sleeps.
4 Years Later:
Tory, who is older now, is walking around what looks like a greenhouse, or a large garden. He appears to be looking for something.
Meanwhile, in his father's lab
"Fire the laser!" Prof. Lund calls out.
A laser, that's been hanging above the ceiling and fires at the crystal. Prof. Lund, Yuko, and the others watch as they examine it and study the crystal the alien had found and left behind after Rayquaza destroyed it.
"Raise our trajectory by .5, Yuko," Prof. Lund says.
"Right," Yuko says.
Soon, something happens on the computer screen.
"That's the frequency. Finally, in sync," Prof. Lund says
"That means…" Yuko says
"Yes. The crystal should regenerate if we keep the laser on target," Prof. Lund says.
The crystal soon begins to glow like it had four years ago.
"We will succeed. We have to," Prof. Lund says.
Yuko nods as the crystal continues to glow, getting brighter, and brighter, but suddenly, the laser shuts down, and the crystal stops glowing as an alarm goes off.
"We overloaded the regulator," Prof. Lund says.
Yuko goes to check on the laser regulator by opening it.
Yuko says, "It was just one small component that malfunctioned, a simple replacement."
"Good. We'll try again after it's fixed," Prof. Lund says.
"Yes, sir," Yuko says.
Meanwhile, in the garden, Tory soon hears something, turns around, and smiles over to a small spring. It rushes over to notice a strange glow, but Tory is very familiar with it.
Tory says, "Guess what? I'm gonna tell you all about this book I'm reading. It's pretty good."
Back in the lab…
"Once that part's replaced, we're almost home," The research assistant says.
Another assistant says, "Yeah, we're so close."
Yuko soon looks at the crystal and sees a light pulsating from it.
Surprised, Yuko says, "I was right. I did see a glow."
Yuko has to wonder about the glow.
Meanwhile, back in the arctic, large cracks appear from the icy, and something bursts out of the water. Out from the water is the alien Pokemon, fuller regenerated. The creature then turns its tendrils into arms and uses its powers to cause the aurora borealis to appear, which is a purple color.
Time has passed…
On a bright sunny day at the monorail, Mew and her friends continue riding on it as they look out the window to see their destination.
"Wow!" Mew, Tomo, and Molly reply.
Everyone looks to see Wingull flying alongside the monorail, and see Seel and Dewgong resting on the rocks with three Pelipper swimming on the water, and another lands beside them. Mew and her friends are excited to be arriving at Larousse City, the headquarters for anything and everything high-tech. Of course, some of the group are itching for action at the city's famous Battle Tower, and it's also where Mew plans to compete for her next contest.
Meanwhile, a periscope is spotted peeking out of the water, spooking some Pelipper, indicating that some underwater vehicle was moving along before hitting a rock, getting the attention of the nearby Seel. The vehicle surfaces to reveal its Team Rocket's submarine before the trio themselves exit the submersible as it sinks while they scramble for safety.
Meanwhile, in the park, as the monorail goes by overhead, a boy running with his Poochyena stops at a high-tech trash can to discard his empty bottle, which he does before continuing on with his Pokémon. After the boy and his Poochyena leave, a Plusle and Minun show up and start playing around with the techno trash can, thinking it's a toy, all the while, a short, fat, blue Pokémon with pointy ears watches and scratches its side before Minun accidentally tips the trash can over. The two happily run off after the small tumble while the blue Pokémon sets the trash can back upright before starting to walk away. However, it realizes that there were two plastic bottles lying around so, with a shrug, it kicks one of them at the trash can, and while it senses the incoming bottle and opens, the bottle ends up hitting the edge and hits the ground. With that, the Pokémon walks away before stopping and shrugging.
Meanwhile, the monorail that Mew and her friends are on has reached the station. They walk out of their train, and head down the escalator.
"So this is LaRousse City," Mew says.
"It's awesome," Jen says.
"Amazing," Molly says.
Tomo turns to his Deoxys, who is still out of his Pokeball, "What do you, Deoxys. Pretty cool."
Deoxys nods in response.
Soon, a robot approaches them and welcomes them, "Welcome. You are now in LaRousse City, the metropolis of technology."
"Cool!" Zinnia says.
"A robot," Max says
"It's so cute!" May says.
"What could be cooler than being welcomed to a city by a robot?" Jen replies.
"Maybe being greeted by a beautiful human girl for one?" Brock says.
The robot approaches May and says, "Smile!" as it takes out a camera.
The robot takes a picture of May, as she has a surprised expression on her face.
The robot then takes a picture of Max, Molly, Brock, and Zinnia. Then Jen and Amaura. Mew along with Pikachu and Eevee. And lastly, Tomo along with Meloetta, Skwovet, and Deoxys.
Meanwhile, at the police headquarters, Mew and the group's photos are forwarded to the people inside.
The computer says, "Visitor data confirmed. Citizenship and point of origin recorded.
Back at the station, the robot hands the group some cards, "These will serve as your passports."
"Passports?" Mew questions.
"While in LaRousse City, keep them on at all times," The robot says, handing each of them their card, "Your passports can be used for shopping or other means."
As they leave the station, May is bummed about her passport photo.
"Don't think I'll be sending this one home," May says.
"So what do we do first?" Zinnia asks.
"Well, I like to head to the Battle Tower. I also like to see what the place is like before the contest," Mew says.
Suddenly, Tomo yelps, "Hey!"
Everyone turns to see Tomo ends up getting on the right moving sidewalk and is being taken away from the others. He tries to step off, but ends up going on a faster one.
"Tomo!" Mew calls out.
Deoxys acts fast as he flies to Tomo and picks him up.
"Thanks Deoxys," Tomo says.
Soon, some girls passing by giggle with two people. The two girls are twins with brown hair, and wearing similar outfits, one wearing a white and pink outfit, the other is wearing white and orange. One guy has light tan skin, wears an orange headband, dark shirt, and a necklace with a rectangle charm. The other guy has dark brown hair and wears a blue jacket.
"Well, that's one way to get off of it," The boy with the jacket says.
Deoxys then flies back to Mew and the others and gets Tomo to safety.
Soon, the four people from before arrive and the girls giggle.
"Thanks Deoxys," Tomo says.
Deoxys nods in response.
"Hey there," The boy with the jacket says.
"Hello," The two girls reply.
"So, I guess you're all new in town, huh?" The boy with the headband asks.
"We are. I'm Ashley, and these are my friends, May, her brother Max, Brock, Molly, Tomo, Jen, and Zinnia," Mew says, "And these are our Pokemon."
"Nice to meet you, I'm Rafe, and these are my younger twin sisters, Audrey, and Kathryn," The boy, Rafe says.
"Hello," The girls say.
The boy with the headband says, "And I'm Sid."
"Nice to meet you all," Zinnia says.
"Anyway, if you're looking for the Battle Tower, it's this way," Rafe says and gets on the other moving sidewalk.
The gang soon follows along.
"Still, it's great to meet you," Mew says, "You wanna have a battle with me?"
"Kathryn then says, "Watch out, our brother Rafe's really strong.
"And his Pokemon, Blaziken, too," Audrey says.
"Yeah, I'd love to have a battle with you, Ashley," Rafe says, "Let's meet up and throw down at the Battle Tower."
"Yeah," Mew says.
Soon, someone speaks out, "So we're finally gonna settle this today, right, Rafe?"
The group turns to see a girl riding alongside the moving sidewalk. She has purple hair in a ponytail, glasses, blue eyes, and is holding a laptop. She is wearing a pink shirt and gray pants.
Of course, Brock is instantly smitten, "Hello, my bespectacled beauty. I'm Brock!" and starts to go after her.
But Max stops him, "Stop!" and grabs him by the ear while Brock is standing on the fast moving sidewalk on one foot.
The group tries to control their laughter as they cover their mouths.
Sid says, "Well, I guess it's safe to say your friend has really fallen for Rebecca, huh? She's a good Metagross trainer who likes to use her laptop for strategy. And as for me, Blastoise is my partner."
"Hi, I'm May. And this is my brother, Max," May says.
Sid then says, "Hey, you're kind of cute."
"Kind of," May replies, a bit confused.
"And kind of crazy too," Max says.
"Look! There's the Battle Tower!" Audrey calls out.
Everyone looks to see it.
"Wow. It's so cool," Mew says.
"Awesome!" Zinnia says.
"I can't wait to try it," Mew says.
Pikachu and Eevee agree.
Soon enough, everyone is inside the building.
"I'll be back, as soon as I register," Mew says.
"Alright, we'll head to the grandstands," Max says.
"See ya," Mew says.
"Bye," The group replies.
All around the different levels of the Battle Tower, many patrons indulge in the various amenities. such as the ice cream vending machines.
However, Mew, Pikachu, and Eevee end up losing their way as they end up on the top level, next to the library.
"Uh oh. I think we made a wrong turn somewhere," Mew says.
Mew and the Pokemon walk around and soon they spot the library.
"Oh, wow. There's a library, too," Mew says.
"Pika." (Sure is.) Pikachu says.
They soon spot Tory walking out of the library, and they walk up to him.
Mew asks, "Excuse me."
"Eevee?" (Can you help us?) Eevee calls out.
However, Tory suddenly screams in fright and runs away.
"Wait, why are you running away?" Mew asks.
Eevee asks, "Eevee Vee?" (Was it something I said?)
"Pika?" (That's odd.) Pikachu adds.
Mew calls out, "Wait, come back!" And runs after the boy.
Tory runs down the hall and into the elevator to try and escape, but Mew and her Pokemon manage to get inside.
Mew says, "Hi, let me start that again. My friends and I on our way to the battling floor, but we don't know how to get there. So, we're kind of lost."
"Pika Pika?" (Can you help us?) Pikachu asks.
As the three try to talk, Tory backs up nervously before the elevator stops and opens, allowing Tory to run.
"Wait! We just want…" Mew calls out.
But before Tory can get far, a man stops both him and Mew.
The man says, "Hello, I'm Oyama, the Battle Tower attendant. Are you ready for your battle? Right this way, please," and gently moves them inside.
"But, you don't understand, I…" Tory says.
But Oyama says, "If you both hurry, you two might just make it."
"But I haven't registered yet," Mew says.
"Don't worry, that'll happen automatically as you approach the battlefield," Oyama says, and gets them onto a moving platform, "Good luck, you two!"
Soon, both of them are scanned and registered as a machine that picks up the RFID signals in their passports.
The computer says, "Passports confirmed. Two youth level participants entered successfully."
"Great! And just in time!" Mew says.
Pikachu and Eevee are excited, but Tory isn't.
Soon, Rebecca arrives on the battling floor, but is too late to enter as the door closes.
"Entry participants in the first round are closed. Please try again next time," The computer says.
"What?!" Rebecca responds, shocked.
Meanwhile, Mew and Troy soon reach the end of the platform.
"Now introducing our first entry," The computer says.
Soon, another platform takes them up towards the battlefield.
"Here we go," Mew says.
Pikachu and Eevee become eager to do so.
They soon reach the top.
Then the announcer comes up on a floating platform, "Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, my name is Guru and our first match here in the Battle Tower will be a Tag Team event! Remember to cheer for your favorites!"
"Tag team, huh? Yeah," Mew says.
Guru announces, "In the blue corner, we have Ashley, a trainer all the way from Pallet Town in the Kanto Region! And his tag partner, a local boy known as Tory Lund!"
"It's nice to meet you, Tory," Mew says.
"Um yeah, it's nice to meet you too," Tory says, unsure.
However, Mew notices the concern expression on his face.
At the stand, the rest of the group notice Mew.
"Look, there she is," Tomo says.
"Yeah," Jen says.
"I wonder how she got entered so quickly," May wonders.
Soon, Rebecca sits down next to May, "By somehow cutting in front of me."
"I don't think she would do that," Molly says.
"Yeah," Jen says.
Brock then takes Rebecca's hand, "What isn't a mistake is love at first sight."
But then, Max grabs Brock's ear, "How about pain at first pull?"
Audrey and Kathryn giggle.
Meanwhile, Yuko notices the broadcast of the battle from Professor Lund's lab.
Yuko turns his head, "Professor Lund? Take a look at this."
The professor does so and is surprised to see his son taking part in a Pokémon battle.
"Tory? In a Pokémon battle?" Prof. Lund says, surprised.
Soon, Rafe and Sid appear on the other side of the battlefield.
Guru announces, "And in the red corner, we have two trainers both hailing from South City, Rafe and Sid!"
Rafe calls out, "Well, Ashley, you sure didn't waste any time."
"Of course not, I couldn't wait to face you!" Mew says.
Sid calls out, "Hey, May! You make sure to watch, cause I'm dedicating this battle to you!" and winks.
May is baffled while the twins giggled.
Guru announces, "The basic rules in all tag team battles is teamwork! Each trainer uses a single Pokémon and works with his teammate! And now, trainers, bring out your Pokémon!"
"Alright!" Rafe says.
Rafe and Sid call out, "Here goes!"
Soon, Blaziken and Blastoise come out of their Pokeballs.
"Pikachu, I choose you!" Mew calls out.
Pikachu leaps off of Mew's shoulder and jumps into the battle.
Mew turns to Tory, "So Tory, what Pokémon are you gonna use?"
"No, Tory, I don't have any Pokémon," Tory sas.
"You don't?" Mew says, shocked.
"Pika?" (Say what?) Pikachu says, confused.
"Vee," (Uh oh.) Eevee says.
"There seems to be a problem, only one Pokémon has shown up in the blue corner," Guru says.
"You see, I was trying to tell you, I'm not a trainer. I can't battle," Tory says.
"Uh oh. Looks like we have a problem," Mew says.
Mew then thinks of it, "I do want to battle Rafe, but Tory doesn't have any Pokemon. And not sure if we can find another partner at short notice… What to do…"
But then Mew has an idea, "I know, Tory. You can use one of my Pokemon.."
Mew then turns to Eevee, "Hey Eevee, would you be Tory's partner for now."
"Vee," (Sure.) Eevee says.
"But…" Tory says, concerned.
"Will the blue corner forfeit?" Guru questions.
"Don't worry, it's just for a short while and Eevee is very friendly," Mew says.
"Well, if I have to…" Tory says.
Tory nervously says, "Go Eevee!"
Eevee then jumps into the battlefield.
"Well, looks like both teams have picked their Pokémon. Are you all ready for a battle? Cause here we go!" Guru says.
Rafe calls out, "Let's do this! Blaziken, use Blaze Kick, now!"
Blaziken lights up its wrists and aims right at Pikachu.
"Dodge, Pikachu!" Mew calls out.
Pikachu does so and leaps over Blaziken.
"Go, Blastoise, Hydro Pump!" Sid says.
Blastoise fires one of its hydro cannons and hits Pikachu while he is in midair.
"What a dazzling combination from the red corner!" Guru says.
As Guru talks, Pikachu lands and Tory cowers. Mew is starting to take notice.
Sid then calls out, "Blastoise, Bubble attack!"
Blastoise fires the attack and mananges to hit Eevee.
"Eevee!" Mew calls out.
Mew turns to Tory, "Tory, you need to tell Eevee to do an attack, fast."
"But, I don't know what to tell it to do," Tory says, nervously in fact, he's looking scared.
Mew grows deeply concerned, "Tory, are you okay?"
Soon, Sid calls out, "Blastoise, Rapid Spin!"
Blastoise tucks into its shell and charges toward Eevee, ready to strike, all the while Tory freezes before the attack lands and sends Eevee flying. Tory then starts to have a flashback to when he was younger and caught in that stampede in the arctic, he then braces for the impact, but Blastoise stops as Eevee lands.
"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt! Cover Eevee!" Mew calls out.
Piakchu forces the attack and hits hard before Blaziken steps in and launches a Flamethrower, though Pikachu manages to dodge.
"Blastoise, Skull Bash, go!" Sid calls out.
Blastoise hits Pikachu headfirst and sends him right into Eevee. They both soon crash to the ground.
"Looks like the blue corner can't seem to get it together as a team!" Guru says.
"Man, Ashley's partner isn't doing anything to help her out at all!" Max says.
"How can Mew win like this?" Jen asks.
May calls out, "Come on, do something!"
"Guys, doesn't that kid, Tory look a little, I don't know, scared," Zinnia says.
"Of what? Competing in front of people?" Tomo asks.
"I don't think so, and Mew is starting to notice," Brock says.
And Brock is right, Mew is deeply concerned for Tory because of how scared he looked.
Worried, Mew asks, "Tory, are you okay?"
However, Tory is not answering and is shaking in fear.
"Something's wrong. I've never seen anyone this scared before," Mew says in thought, "I need to hurry this up and get Tory out of there."
Mew says to Tory, "Don't worry, Tory, I'll handle this."
Mew calls out, "Eevee, use Stone Edge!"
Eevee then performs Stone Edge and soon strikes at Blaziken and Blastoise.
"Wow! An Eevee that can perform Stone Edge and is able to strike at both of them!" Guru says.
Mew calls out, "Pikachu, jump on the Stone Edge!"
Pikachu then does so and runs and jumps at top speed.
"Now, use Iron Tail!" Mew calls out.
Pikachu then performs Iron Tail and is able to strike at Blaziken, but Blaziken is able to repel the attack, and pushes Pikachu back.
"Thunderbolt!" Mew calls out.
Pikachu is able to perform Thunderbolt in the air and gives Rafe an electric shock.
Mew calls out, "Eevee, jump and use Leaf Blade!"
Eevee then performs the attack.
Sid calls out, "Blastoise, use Hydro Pump!"
Soon, Eevee gets hit. Eevee tries to cut her away through, but the Hydro Pump is too strong and it sends her flying.
Sid turns to Rafe, "So, Rafe, ready to finish this one off?"
Rafe nods and says, "Let's do it. Blaziken, Overheat!"
Blaziken fires the attack and nails both Pikachu and Eevee, sending them flying.
"Pikachu! Eevee!" Mew calls out.
Soon, they both hit the ground and are knocked out.
Guru announces, "And that's it! Pikachu and Eevee are unable to battle! Rafe and Sid are the winners! Congratulations!"
Tory looks down, feeling so ashamed for letting Mew down as Rafe and Sid celebrate. Mew looks at Tory with deep concern, the way he acted, Mew can see the sight of a Pokemon, including her Pikachu and Eevee seem to scare him.
A little bit later, Mew and Tory get off of the elevator on the ground floor of the battle tower.
Mew says, "Hey Tory, don't feel so bad. At least you were able to give battling a try," And trying to cheer Tory.
However, Tory isn't saying a word to her. Mew suspects that Tory feels very bad about what happened.
Suddenly, they hear a voice, "Tory!"
The two turn to see Prof. Lund and Yuko rush over to him.
"Daddy," Tory says.
Prof. Lund says to Tory, "We just watched your Pokémon battle, I'm incredibly proud."
"Don't be, it was just an accident. It wasn't even supposed to happen," Tory says.
"Hey Tory, it's okay. There's no harm," Mew says.
However, Tory runs off as the rest of the group arrive on the balcony, and Tory runs out of the tower.
Mew saddens, "Tory."
Suddenly, they hear Tomo's voice, "Hey Mew."
Mew, Professor Lund, and Yuko look up to see the rest of the group. However, the professor and his assistant are shocked to see Tomo's Deoxys, especially since this one acted very differently than the one they've witnessed in the past.
Later, Mew and the others sit at the benches to get to know Yuko.
And of course, Brock is smitten over her, "Yuko, meeting you reminds me of two years ago when I, too, spent long hours toiling as Professor Ivy's assistant. I'm sure she'd be more than happy to vouch for my work."
Max then grabs Brock's ear, "And I'll be happy to vouch for his insanity."
The group begins giggling in response.
Yuko turns to Mew, "We apologize for the mix-up with your battle, Ashley. The truth is, Tory is completely afraid of Pokémon."
This really shocked everyone.
"Really?" May asks, shocked.
Mew realizes, "So that's why Tory looked terrified during the battle, and why he got scared when Pikachu and Eevee try to talk to him."
"How could he be afraid of Pokémon?" Tomo asks.
Yuko explains, "Well, about four years ago, he had a very traumatic experience. He got caught in a stampede of Spheal, Sealeo and Walrein and it left him terrified of all Pokémon."
"That must have been scary," Molly
Yuko nods and says, "Sadly, he hasn't managed to get over his fear."
Elsewhere, Tory was walking along by a fountain, alone, and a seat. Soon, the Plusle of the Plusle and Minun duo from the park shows up and tries to get his attention.
Tory screams and panics, "Go! Shoo! Go! Shoo!"
The Plusle shows him a tipped over techno trash can and that Minu was stuck inside, indicating that the Plusle was trying to get some help.
Meanwhile, Yuko has finished explaining the story.
"I feel kind of bad. I ended up getting Tory into the battle, and it turns out he's afraid of Pokemon," Mew says.
"It's not your fault, you didn't know," May says.
"Yeah, just a misunderstanding," Zinnia says.
"But underneath all the trauma, I think he loves Pokémon. All he really needs is the chance to get to know them better, that's all," Yuko says.
"I guess, but I'm just shocked, I could never imagine someone being this afraid of Pokemon. I know I could never be afraid of them, they're practically a big part of life," Mew says.
"Yeah. You and I were raised by Pokemon," Tomo says.
"Maybe we should help him. We can help Tory become friends with us, and our Pokemon," Mew says.
"Good idea," Jen says.
"Yeah," May says.
"We want to help too," Max says.
"But how?" Molly asks.
"I'm not sure. I never dealt with Pokemon phobia before," Mew says. Then stands up, "But I should go talk to Tory first," Then turns to Pikachu and Eevee, "You two stay right here. I like to talk to him alone."
"You're awfully kind. Thank you," Yuko says.
Pikachu and Eevee nod in response.
Meanwhile, Tory sees Minun stuck inside the lid of the trash can. prompting him to try and pry it open with a stick, which Mew ends up seeing upon arriving.
"Tory?" Mew questions.
Soon, Tory gets the Minun free. The duo celebrate by making sparks fly from touching their tails together. The Plusle and Minun hop onto the trash can and Minun tries to thank Tory by hugging him, but the frightened boy backs away.
"Later!" Tory says and runs away.
Mew goes after Tory while the Plusle and Minun run off. After they do, the blue Pokémon from earlier sets the trash can upright and takes the bottle away for itself, only to stop, throw it up, spin around and kick it at the trash can. The sensor activates and opens the lid and the bottle goes in before the Pokémon walks off.
Meanwhile, Tory returns to the greenhouse, with Mew not far behind.
"It's a greenhouse," Mew says.
Inside…
Tory walks over and calls out, "Hey! Come on out! Where are you? I want to tell you something important!"
Suddenly, a strange light formation appears by a small waterfall, circles Tory and makes itself into a different shape before returning to normal.
"You'll never guess what I just did, I helped out a Pokémon. It somehow got its head stuck inside a garbage can so I helped to get it out. Isn't that cool?" Tory says.

Meanwhile, far away, the alien creature, which is Deoxys, is zipping along and heading right toward the city before it landed on top of the tower and made its crystal light up and create a partial aurora borealis, which catches the attention for Tomo and the rest of the group. Elsewhere, Sid, Rafe, his sisters, Rebecca and everyone else saw the lights above. What's more, it's deeply earning Tomo's Deoxys attention.
Tomo looks at Deoxys, concerned, "Deoxys, are you okay?"
However, Deoxys isn't saying anything to Tomo, and is looking at the sky with a familiar feeling.
Meanwhile, Tory was still talking to the light formation in front of him.
"I was even part of a Pokémon battle, too. Course, I wasn't very good, so that part of my day kind of stunk," Tory says.
"Hi Tory," Mew's voice speaks up, "Who are you talking to?"
Tory looks back to see Mew. He quickly stands up and blocks it from her view, allowing it to disappear.
Meanwhile, outside, the alien stops the light show.
"Hey, the lights are gone," Max says.
"That's weird," Zinnia says.
Tomo looks at Deoxys, and looks at it with deep concern on how focused it's being. Tomo is starting to feel concern for Deoxys because it's been deep in thought about something.
