Sweet and Dark Heart: Chapter 14

"Ugh, shut up Sayori, it wasn't anything like that!" John said as Sayori giggled, though his blushing was prevalent as she poked his cheeks.

"Mhhhm! If you say so Johnny! If that's the case, why are you blushing so hard, hm?" Sayori asked as she nudged John.

"I…uhm…it's hot out!" John said as Sayori burst into laughter.

"Hah! As if, you're the worst liar ever! Just admit it, you got a thing for our giantess powerhouse!" Sayori said as John sighed.

"Well…maybe a bit…she's very…friendly when I spent time with her. Her dad is a bit rude though…" John said as Sayori frowned.

"Yeah, I know, Natsuki complains about him from time to time and I really feel for her. She doesn't go into detail but you could just tell from how she describes him that he isn't the best. Still though, I'm happy you got to hang out with Natsuki!" Sayori said.

John chuckled at Sayori's enthusiasm, she was always there for him and she wasn't just a bright ray of sunshine to make his day better, she was the whole sun. The two of them have always been through thick and thin so John didn't mind Sayori teasing him or otherwise playing around with him considering how long they've been friends.

"You know goofball, I'm happy I got to spend time with her too…" John said as a faint blush adorned his face as Sayori giggled.

"Aw you're such a loveable dork John!" Sayori said.

After the two reached school and headed their separate ways as usual, the day went on as it usually did, then it was time for what John really looked forward to – the Literature Club. Upon entering, the other women were there already. Yuri was reading a book as usual, though she did look up at John with her eyes rather than her whole head upon him entering before returning to her book. Sayori and Monika were chatting amongst each other and Natsuki was reading a manga, though Natsuki gave John a small wave when she saw him and he did the same back. Yuri gripped her book a little tighter upon seeing this, though no one noticed considering she was a bit away from everyone else.

Natsuki got up from John and sauntered over to him, her hips swaying as she did so. The mountain of a woman looked down at John from her towering height as John gave her a small smile.

"H-Hey dummy…what's up?" Natsuki asked.

"Hi Natsuki, I'm good…I, uhm…just wanted to say that I really enjoyed our time together yesterday, it was nice…" John said as Natsuki's heart skipped a beat.

'John really enjoyed yesterday…? Maybe I really can have him all to myself. No distractions, no idiots in the way…' Natsuki thought to herself as Sayori and Monika giggled, much to Natsuki's annoyance.

"Heh, hear that Sayori? Seems like love is blossoming in our cute little Literature Club!" Monika teased as Sayori giggled more.
"I know right! It's like a real life rom-com!" Sayori said as Natsuki groaned.

'Ugh, why can't these two knuckleheads mind their own business?!' Natsuki thought to herself as she had a faint blush as a blush began to appear from John as well.\

"Hmph! Will you two shut up? John and I had a lovely time yesterday and nothing more than that! Get your heads out of the gutter!" Natsuki said with a huff.

'I wouldn't mind if we did do something more though so I can claim him and keep him all to myself. He's mine.' Natsuki thought as Yuri finally decided to speak.

"Natsuki is right, John and her are just friends that had a nice time outside of school." Yuri said.

'She rarely speaks and that's what the awkward bookworm has to say? Ugh.' Natsuki thought as John chuckled from the banter.

"Well still, it was nice yesterday. You're, uhm…you're pretty cool, Natsuki!" John said as Natsuki's blush deepened while Sayori and Monika giggled again, with Yuri clenching her book.

'He…he thinks I'm cool?! Okay…okay…be calm, don't hug him and pull him close away from the rest of these women who aren't good enough for him…' Natsuki thought to herself as she slipped on her tsundere mask.

"W-well that's right! I am pretty cool, I am the best after all!" Natsuki said as Monika chuckled.

"Alright, alright…we'll stop teasing you two now. Let's get on with our discussion!" Monika said.

After the group discussed poetry and their favorite genres of books, with Sayori loving fantasy, Monika loving non-fiction, Yuri loving horror, Natsuki and John both loving shoujo and josei manga then it was time for the group to hang out and do whatever they please.

As Natsuki went to the back of where her manga was stored, she motioned for John to come with her to the back, which he did while Yuri read her manga and Sayori and Monika chatted amongst each other. Natsuki closed the sliding door after John entered and then she sat down on the cushion so she's comfy on the floor and patted the soft cushion next to her. As John sat next to her and got utterly dwarfed by her immense size, Natsuki gave a small smile.

"Ready to read more Parfait Girls today, dummy?" Natsuki asked as John gave her a smile.

"Yeah I…I'd like to do that…" John said as he moved closer to Natsuki, making her heart race.
