The sound of blades clashing continued as Shirou and Gregor continued their battle. Gregor made several swipes with his holy swords, which Shirou countered with Kanshou and Bakuya. Shirou tried to stab downward with his swords, which Gregor blocked with a single blade. Shirou then kicked him away with his foot before he could use his other sword to attack. Gregor looked at Shirou with a suspicious expression.
Gregor: "You seem quite familiar with my attacks."
Shirou: "Of course. This isn't my first time fighting an executor."
Gregor: "Would you happen to be talking about Kirei?"
Shirou: "Of course you two know each other!"
Gregor: "It matters not. Kirei was weak, and you won't find me as easy of an opponent as he was!"
He put away one of his swords and threw several black keys at Shirou who easily deflected them. He continued to throw them, with Shrou deflecting every one that was thrown.
Shirou: "When you said I wouldn't find you as easy, I expected more than just throwing black keys all over the place."
Gregor: "Set!"
The deflected black keys stopped in midair and shot back at Shirou, who countered with several projected blades of his own.
Shirou: "I told you. You won't kill me just by throwing black keys."
Gregor: "Well…see how you deal with this!"
Gregor pointed his hand forward and several orange and white sigils appeared before him.
Gregor: "Revelation 8:6, Hail and Fire!"
From the sigils, he shot fireballs and icicles toward Shirou, who projected several swords to counter them. Gregor then took out his other sword and charged mana into them.
Gregor: "Grand Crossblades!"
The swords doubled in size. Gregor charged at Shirou with his improved holy blades.
Shirou: "Trace, Overedge!"
Shirou increased the size of his own blades and clashed with Gregor's. Gregor withdrew one of his blades to slash the side of Shirou's abdomen, only for Shirou to also withdraw and block it. The two continued their clash, their giant blades creating sparks as they struck each other.
Gregor slashed at Shirou, who flipped over the blade and returned the same slash only for Gregor to backflip away from him. He then put his swords in the ground and used them as leverage to launch himself into a dropkick, hitting Shirou square in the chest and knocking him over. Shirou quickly got up and shrunk his swords back to their original size before throwing them. He then projected two more swords and threw them as well. Once he had done that, he projected a third set of swords and enlarged them before charging forward.
Shirou: "Triple Crane Wings!"
Gregor desperately tried to block it, but the threefold attack overwhelmed him, shattering his swords and leaving six slashes across his chest. In the end, Gregor was knocked to the ground while Shrou stood over him with a blade pointed towards his throat.
Shirou: "It's over Father Gregor, you lost. Now tell your daughter to retreat. Naru doesn't want anything to do with the Holy Grail War. I expect you to follow his wishes and leave him alone."
Gregor: "A wise decision. However, I'm afraid you're too late. Marylin has already activated Lancer's second noble phantasm, and now Saber, Archer, and Assassin are all about to die!"
Artoria, Arash, and Bigfoot stood around Lancer in a circle, positioning themselves so they could attack him on all sides.
Artoria: "Surrender, Lancer. Even with your ability to redirect misfortune, you can't take on three servants at once."
Lancer: "I can't? Well, if yer so confident that I can't, why don't ya start attackin' me then?"
The three looked at each other in confusion. They weren't expecting this at all! Most servants wouldn't even dare to take on three servants at once. Was he just that strong?
Bigfoot: "He's just bluffing, I'm going in on the attack! Plaster of Paris!"
Bigfoot turned his arms into clay swords and charged at Lancer.
Artoria: "Assassin! Wait!"
Lancer responded by blocking the attack with his crozier. Lancer then split off the bottom part of his staff and stabbed Bigfoot through the stomach with it. Arash tried to help him by shooting Lancer in the back only for him to use Bigfoot as a human shield and block it. He then kicked Bigfoot at Arash, crushing him under Bigfoot's weight and causing the arrows in him to sink deeper. Once they had been dealt with, Lancer turned his attention towards Artoria. Artoria's invisible sword clashed with Lancer's cross, only for him to use his hooked weapon to pull her sword away, allowing him to stab Artoia's midsection over and over again before pushing her away.
Artoria: "Attacking him one at a time isn't working. We need to attack him all at once."
The three servants recovered from their blows and leaped at Lancer all at once, but Lancer easily countered them. He jumped up in the air, making the three hit each other. He then hit Artoria and Arash with his weapons and kicked Bigfoot in the stomach, sending the three flying away. He then proceeded to decimate them individually. He went over to Bigfoot and elbowed him in the face. He then grabbed one of the arrows embedded in his skin and threw it at Arash, the arrow piercing him in the stomach. Artoria watched all of this in horror as Lancer began to run towards her, ready to attack her as well.
Artoria: "This man…"
Lancer kicked Artoria in the jaw, lifting her into the air.
Artoria: "...is unstoppable!"
He then delivered a roundhouse kick to her gut on the way down, sending her flying backward into a tree and impaling her on a branch. Slowly, she managed to wrench herself off the branch and landed on the ground. She looked at Lancer in a combination of anger and frustration.
Artoria: "This day couldn't possibly get any worse!"
Suddenly, Lancer's body started to glow red as his master used her command spell on him.
Artoria: "I stand corrected."
Lancer: "That's right lassy! It looks like my master got impatient and decided to release my noble phantasm, but look on the bright side, yer the first ones who get to see it! Sadly, it will also be the last thing ya ever see."
Lancer put his weapons together to form his crozier once again and plunged it into the ground. He then began his chant as he activated his second noble phantasm.
Lancer: "O' staff that split the sea, become the key to the abyss and summon the great lake."
He twisted the top part of the staff so that the cross was facing forward. The hooked part of the staff that was embedded into the ground released a red shadow shaped like a snake that bolted toward Artoria's feet.
Lancer: "May your soul be dragged to the abyss! Lough Dearg!"
The serpent's head expanded into a large red lake that covered the entirety of the forest floor. Trees and bushes toppled over as they now had nothing to support them. Arash and Bigfoot had to grab onto a log to keep themselves from sinking.
Lancer: "I'm sorry ta do this to ya. To be honest, I don't like using this noble phantasm. It's a rather nasty way to kill someone. I don't like it when- why are you not sinking?"
Artoria: "Because I have a blessing which allows me to walk on water. But moving that aside, this is your noble phantasm?"
Lancer: "What do ya mean this?"
Artoria: "If I am to be honest, I don't see how summoning a lake is helpful as a noble phantasm…Patricius."
Patricius: "Ok, first off, congrats on figuring out my true name, and second, that's not the part you should be worried about, because if you know my legend, then you know exactly what sorts of critters I banished to this lake!"
Artoria heard a splash behind her. She turned around and saw three large snakes sticking their heads out of the water and staring her down.
Artoria: "Oilliphéists!"
Patricius: "That's right, and there are over a million of them! Enough to strip a servant down to the bone."
The oilliphéists loomed over her, venomous saliva dripping from their mouths as they stared at her with hungry eyes.
Artoria: "Oh give me a break! I hope my master is having better luck than I am!"
Naru: "Oh no you don't!"
Naru charged at Marylin, attempting to stop her command spell from going off, but it was too late. One of the marks on her hand had already faded away. Naru then felt a sharp pain in his right arm. He looked down and saw the Crown of Thorns wrapped around his arm.
Naru: "Dammit! The reforgement wore off!"
Marylin tugged on the chain dragging Naru toward her before gut-checking him and sending him to his knees. Then, with the chain still wrapped around his arm proceeded to swing him around like a rag doll, slamming him into trees, shrubs, and even Brook who had tried to help him multiple times. All the while, the spikes dug deeper into his flesh.
Naru: "If this goes any further, I might have to cut my own arm off!"
However, he didn't have to worry about that as Marylin retracted her chain, ripping chunks out of Naru's arm. As Naru was recovering, Marylin pointed her hand toward him and readied her next attack.
Marylin: "Revelation 6:13, Stars of Heaven!"
She fired out several white shots from the palm of her hand that proceeded to tear at Naru's body, leaving several scorch marks behind. Naru slummed against a tree to rest. He was in horrible condition. His forearms were cut, his knuckles were bruised, he had burns on his body, and he had lost a ton of blood.
Marylin: "You truly were a troublesome opponent. I had to use a holy sacrament against you. That aside, you are now beaten, Naru Kaminari. Any last words before I kill you?"
Naru: "Heh."
Marylin: "What's so funny?"
Naru: "Marylin…"
Naru slowly got up and pulled out the Lost Forge.
Naru: "Did you think you were the only one not taking this seriously?"
He positioned the mystic code sideways across himself.
Naru: "Reforge…"
The handle started to glow a light green color while lightning crackled out of it.
Naru: "Kusanagi!"
The blade of a knife popped out of the handle. However, instead of the usual serrated knife he usually materialized, he manifested a long, straight knife with glowing green lines running through it. Marylin stared in shock as she realized what Naru had just done.
Marylin: "Is that…a noble phantasm?"
Naru: "Yeah…here's the funny thing about that. I didn't even know this thing was a noble phantasm until Saber explained what one was! Strange, isn't it?"
Naru looked at the knife and frowned.
Naru: "Unfortunately, I've only ever been able to summon the tip of the sword, but that doesn't matter right now! It's time for an ass-whooping!"
Naru charged forward with his knife until he was right in front of Marylin. She positioned her chain to block his attack.
Naru: "Kusanagi no Tachi!"
Naru swung his knife, creating a blast of energy that broke through the chain and hit Marylin square in the chest, sending her flying backward. The knife blade dematerialized as Naru collapsed on the ground.
Naru: "That's it, I'm completely out of juice."
Naru heard shuffling ahead of him. It was Marylin. She had somehow survived the attack, albeit barely. She had a massive gash across her chest and she sprained her ankle, giving her a limp and causing the shuffling noise he was now hearing. Marylin went over to Naru's body and kicked him onto his back. She then raised her foot, ready to stomp on his head and giving him a full view underneath her habit.
Naru: "Ah…polka dots…nice!"
As she was about to stomp on his head, she suddenly got knocked out. It was Brook. She had used Marylin's weakened state to her advantage and knocked her out with a particularly heavy tree branch.
Brook: "YES! I DID A THING!"
Naru: "You sure did!"
Brook got Naru off the ground and provided support for him to stand up.
Naru: "Brook…"
Brook: "Yes?"
Naru: "Thank you"
Brook: "Teehee! You're welcome!"
The two then headed back to the house.
