Hellothere45: the infinity one shotting a super star destroyer is a conflicted topic for me, on one hand i believe that a supermac will put a hole straight through an ssd but on the other i know that thats not possible so i will try finding a good compromise, also i have no intention of writing a stomp fiction so no the deathstar will not be mopped up by a single unsc fleet ( something similar to what luke did will have to take place). also we do not even know if they will fight

UNSC POV
the various rebel leaders had begun coming in from various regions and areas, absolute secrecy was maintained
holland was getting ready for the meeting he wore his new rear admiral's uniform for he had been promoted in order to give him authority to deal with matters in andromeda and in addition to this battlegroup Dakota let by the Infinity herself had been dispatched and was only a couple of hours out
after a breakfast of bacon and eggs holland along with noble team made their way to the pelican 2 more pelicans carrying 2 ODST squads and 4 marine squads were also readied up
they would reach in another few minutes
rebel POV
the rebel leaders had all assembled
General jan Doddona was speaking with Kanan and Hera
"how is a captain authorised to make diplomatic contact in another galaxy" jan asked doubt forming in his face
"it is quite possible that their rank system works differently or that they are a very small faction"
"yes that is possible but what have you seen of their military capacity"
"they are highly capable militarily sir though they use slug throwers, mass drivers and other technology that would be considered primitive in our galaxy they have perfected these technologies to such an extent that they are equal to or better than their blaster equivalents"
"their soldiers are highly trained and well equipped, they also have a class of super soldiers called spartans from what i have heard they are one man armies, one of them killed an inquisitor in a duel with only his sword"
"How, are they force sensitive"
"No sir none of them are they in fact have no midichlorians in them making them effectively voids in the force"
"hmm if they turn on us they will destroy the alliance in short order
"look here they come now" said an alliance soldier pointing to 3 bulky transports escorted by multiple fighters
and out of the transports came Rear admiral Urban Holland flanked by the 6 members of noble team and numerous marines and ODST also landed
Hera looking at the more ornate suit of the former captain asked "wearing your ceremonial uniform eh captain"
"Well yes and No, i am wearing my ceremonial uniform, but i am no longer a captain, in order to facilitate proper negotiations and to give me authority to conduct diplomacy i have been promoted by UNSC HIGHCOM to the rank of rear admiral
"well congratulations on the promotion rear admiral Holland" hera said with a grin
"Anyhow how does your government plan on engaging with us and the empire" asked one of the rebels
"well at the moment my superiors wish to maintain a neutral stance but that is becoming less and less likely and they wish to establish colonies on the six worlds sorrounding the wormhole through which we got here and a more capable delegation to discuss diplomacy has been sent and will arrive in a bit more time so let us wait"
suddenly the comms units perked up and holland grinned
"sir unknown energy spike detected" said one of the comms officers "a rupture of some sort is appearing"
as he said this a bluish rupture in space time itself grew and out from it came the monument to humanities achievements perhaps the most powerful warship humanity had built since the days of the ancestors the near 6 kilometre long vessel of war with the letters UNSC Infinity emblazoned on its side and bristling with weapons
"by the force" blurted akbar before he had time to even process his awe more ruptures opened out and 74 other ships came out ships ranging from humble frigates to titanic battleships yet all the ships shared the same design philosophy blocky angular design brimming with weapons
then an incoming communication request caught his eyes "put them through"
in a moment the visage of a young man in military uniform appeared
"this is rear admiral lasky of the UNSC i suppose you are our welcoming committee" he said
"yes, i am admiral akbar of the rebel alliance welcome"
"thank you" lasky finished off
as battlegroup Dakota thundered into realspace the rebel soldiers had to keep their jaws from dropping, yes the empire had ships even bigger than this, but the fact that a faction that was considered primitive by many members within the fleet itself was capable of building such large ships was shocking to say the least
footage of the entering fleet rapidly reached the rebel command on the planet and looked on with suspended disbelief they looked at holland and asked "what is this"
holland replied with a wide grin "that, is the UNSC Infinity, one of our greatest vessels and its escorting fleet battlegroup Dakota"
"fine then where should we talk with your council" asked mon mothma
"aboard the infinity we will bring along the captives that we took as well"
"fine"
after a bit of time they were on a ship heading to the infinity their ship was big no doubt and had some good technology on board but it was very utilitarian only what was needed was on board and the ship as a whole was very blocky possibly a byproduct of the nature of titanium as compared to covenant nanolaminate but no matter they were on the ship as they made their way to the bridge they saw large numbers of armed soldiers and a few different species could be seen a large ape like creature in very heavy armour a large armoured warrior with hinge like jaws a few warriors that were shorter and hunched in stature with large tanks on their backs
a few with gauntlets and avian like features and a pair of massive armoured, things, whatever those were and then soon they were at the room allocated for the meeting
once everyone had taken their seats 2 holograms appeared
Fleet Admiral Lord Terrance Hood alongside The arbiter Thel 'vadam Kaidon of vadamkeep, bane of the prophets and leader of the swords of sanghellios
"Greetings to all present here we may begin with the negotiations" spoke lord hood
"firstly what is your organisation" asked the arbiter
"I am Mon Mothma, chief of state of the alliance to restore the republic and i also hold the title of senator representing the world of chandrilla in the imperial senate"
"The imperial senate, i was under the impression that you were part of a rebel movement" questioned lord hood
"I am but i covertly aid the alliance taking advantage of my senatorship" mothma replied
"hmm i understand" said hood
"A complete analysis of our history has been sent to you for easy viewing" mothma finished off
Lord Hood and the arbiter surveyed the information a republic replaced by an empire the sudden massacre of a supernatural order of warriors called jedi, force sensitives A few days ago in the first contact battle with the imperials Spartan B312 of noble team had engaged a force sensitive in single combat and won, apparently they could move and affect things with their minds meaning that they should be able to beat spartans easily, but among the data that had been sent to him was a special note saying how the UNSC personnel were completely cut off from the force whatever that was and that there were no 'midichlorians' in them
"i am sorry but what is the force" the arbiter put Hood's thoughts into a question
one of the Jedi present at the meeting spoke up Kanan specifically "The force is an energy that permeates through all living things in the galaxy, force sensitives are beings that have a particularly high concentration of a microscopic organism called midichlorians in their blood, these organism are what grants a jedi or sith his or her power, it is believed that they represent the will of the force itself"
The arbiter nodded
"Will you ally with us" asked mothama
"For the moment, no because we do not want to be involved in a war so soon after the last one"
The rebels nodded, they had seen the footage of the human covenant war, though there had been wars on a galactic scale in their own galaxy for one species to deliberately try and exterminate another was truly shocking, entire worlds turned to glass, if the things they said were true then the clone wars would be nothing but child's play to them.
"And we have to reference with the rest of your galaxy about what you said, build up a presence there open communications with this, empire" Hood finished off
"I assure you that what we have said is the truth" mothma pleaded
"no one is questioning your integrity, it's just that our experiences with rebels are not good" Hood explained
"okay we will wait and see" said mothma
and with that the holograms disappeared
"well that went well" said Ezra
''Not as well as it could have but yes it did go pretty well" replied Kanan
after a few more moments the rebels had left the infinity and were heading back to their respective regions, all except the ghost, they were left behind to see a weapons demonstration and test the imperial equipment against this UNSC stuff

arrayed before Noble 6 were numerous weapons and armour types, he had the job of demonstrating UNSC weapons armour against imperial weapons and armour
First off a stark white suit of armour which the rebels called stormtrooper armour was to be tested against UNSC small arms

6 levelled the the rifle and took firing a single shot
the bullet accelerated to more than hypersonic speeds punched straight through the Armour leaving a large hole
the same weapon was tested numerous times in different angles, and the findings were that this armour was effective against glancing shots and fragments a clean hit will punch straight through the armour and even if the armour did stop the bullet the resultant kinetic force will cause extreme trauma and incapacitate the soldier, but the thing was the primary setting in which most soldiers used the MA40 was in its full auto or bust fire mode and a stormtrooper will be completely helpless against either one of those
Since every other weapon had better penetration than the MA40 they were not tested
6 looked up and saw the absolute shock and awe visible on the rebels face
"how are slugthrowers this powerful" asked one of the rebels
"well, we advanced this seemingly primitive technology to extreme levels, most of our weapons are kinetic in nature, they just have a charm to them that can't be replicated by plasma"
"that certainly explains it" the rebel with coloured hair spoke up picking up an MA40 and inspecting
"you people really take ease of use seriously don't you" she said finding the weapon nice to wield
"what can i say, great leaps in technology" six shrugged
Rear Admiral lasky
"Sir a message from the imperials has been recieved, they apologise of the actions of their captain and want to open up diplomatic channels sir"
"Fine then where do we meet"
"they have invited us to the galactic capital coruscant sir"
They must seriously want to communicate if they are inviting us to their capital
"well then, where is Fleetmaster Rtas 'vadum"
"Sir the sanghellli fleet is on its way it consists of around 50 ships including one CSO class super carrier ETA 2 days"
"well fair enough" Lasky finished
He had after that point ordered to refer to humans from the milkyway as terrans to avoid confusion with the andromeda humans and to send needed information to the imperials
The imperial palace

If one word could describe palpatine's mood it would be boredom even though he was now emperor and the great plan had mostly succeeded there had to be more to rulership than sitting around in a palace doing nothing
Therefore you can imagine his surprise when he learnt of a group of extra galactics that destroyed an imperial fleet
It surprised him even more to learn that these people used technology considered antiquated by his own galaxy and yet a single ship took down an entire fleet
Now these people had supposedly brought in an entire fleet into tis galaxy andromeda they called it
so the dark lord personally ordered commencement of diplomatic measures and had even extended a personal apology on the behalf of the empire, why was he doing this, why was he apologising to these supposed primitive he did not know he felt that the force wanted him to do such a thing and so he did
these beings supposedly boarded the the vengeance and one of them slew inquisitor thrax in personal combat, that to say the least surprised him very much
more to his liking was the fact that they seemed to be primarily made up of humans, apparently they were allied to numerous alien species all of whome had originally tried to exterminate them
this intrigued him as he delved into what they called the human covenant war
these people now started calling themselves Terrans to avoid confusion
the details of the covenant war were very much brutal, though sidious was not disturbed, being the sith lord that he was, still he was surprised to see that a species on the brink of extinction had managed to recover and rebuild so much to such an extreme extent it was very impressive to say the least
And as he gazed out at the busy ecumenopolis that was coruscant he only thought of how to better suit his own needs and how to bend this new faction to his whims and will
All shall go as per his own plans
The Chimera
Grand Admiral Thrawn
Mitth'raw'nuruodo known to the empire as thrawn was a prodigy, being a chiss and not human many wondered how he had risen so far into the ranks of the empire but only he knew that it was through his own skill which he proved to the emperor on numerous occasions. Even now he was collecting information on these outsiders
they were suspiciously powerful even through their usage of more primitive slug-throwing technology. But unlike many within the galaxy Thrawn was certainly not biased against slug-throwers they had a great potential for being extremely powerful weapons and given the current state of defensive technology in the galaxy a faction using primarily slug-throwers had the potential to have an extraordinary effectiveness
Either way thrawn was eager to meet the high-command of this, this UNSC thrawn thought as the name finally popped up in his brin.
at that moment a sudden beep sounded as some new information was sent to his datapad by some of the agents he had who were collecting information on these new heroes

We know the UNSC relies heavily on projectile weaponry; however they are not just some antique slug throwers on a backwater planet nor some oddball bounty hunter's gadget like those that we have grown accustomed to.
The Terrans have developed their projectile weaponry to a point to where it either equals, or in some cases exceeds blaster weaponry.
Our forces, and for that matter almost any force in the galaxy, have little experience fighting trained soldiers armed with such weaponry.
Our analysts have picked apart footage of the Terran-Covenant war, which the Terrans themselves have provided for us, and even their more antiquated equipment is still to be treated as very dangerous to any imperial asset.
What is more discouraging is the fact that the most advanced models of armor that their own infantry, at least their marines, wear seems to be a highly advanced power armor suit that amplifies the wearer's movements.
The next fact, and most concerning, is that they are equipped with personal energy shields which can take multiple hits to bring down from standard blasters.
The UNSC soldiers are trained, like our own, to be proficient warriors.
Combat analysis of engagements in the UEG-Covenant War show they are accustomed to taking on enemies that are outnumbering and outgunning them.
UNSC officers very generally fight with their heads to take the initiative in battle in order to outmaneuver and crush the enemy. Their own previous war was not one which tolerated incompetence.
Though our troopers are more than capable of fighting against them, the problem arises with experience as our forces primarily fight against pirates and rebels and not a well armed and organised force our troops have grown complacent and many are green recruits.
As a result, for a short time our troopers will have habits developed that will put them at a disadvantage.
UNSC naval strength is the most concerning advantage of theirs however. We witnessed this the hard way during the imperiex Incident, that the weaponry which UNSC vessels use can be much more deadly than our own. We believe that they have engagement ranges that supersede ours by tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of kilometers.
Their spinal mounted mass-drivers, which are more complex than they seem, are the single biggest threat. The INS Unstoppable had its hull split in 2 from a single mass-driver, or magnetic accelerator cannon (MAC) as they refer to it, round
dozens of missile hits brought the shields down on another cruiser blowing its hull apart.
We have analyzed the debris, and have found evidence that they used a nuclear payload in some of their missiles.
This galaxy has not seen nuclear weapons used on the battlefield since the Mandalorian Wars millennia before us, and even then, they weren't as effective, nor as terrifying as the Terrans' rendition.
This was something thrawn had not expected these terrans had developed these supposedly primitive technologies to such an extent that they compete with or even exceed turbolasers. He had to take this to the emperor
"Captain order a jump to the Coruscant system" He ordered
