Angel: Izuka is stated to be barely 5 feet tall, so she'd be around Tsuyu's height.
Also Quirky Whatif already made a fifth video for the story, god damn that was quick, I only mentioned them yesterday! I hope this YouTuber does not plan on reading every single chapter I've uploaded up until this point nonstop, pace yourself please. The story will still be there if they wanna take a break. I'm already almost at 200 chapters, don't make all the videos without taking a breather. And I have to stop everything to write You're Next, so that's like another 18 chapters…I might be coming across as a hypocrite but that's because I was waiting for the movie for an online release, this YouTuber doesn't have to worry about continuity like I do right now.
"If this monster stampedes through Jaku City...it will be an unthinkable disaster!" She already knew that nothing would prevent Gigantomachia from plowing through the city, because he wanted to reach Shigaraki. A bunch of people and buildings wouldn't faze him at all.
Midnight let out a sharp gasp as the flames burned the wood holding her. She flew right past Dabi, Skeptic, and Mr. Compress.
"A gift!" Mr. Compress threw some of his compress orbs toward her.
'The League's on his back?' The orbs activated, unleashing some debris that Mr. Compress got from the villa. 'Damn it!' She grunted as thanks to the speed the debris was going at, it managed to knock her away from Gigantomachia.
"Don't underestimate the heroes!" Mr. Compress warned Dabi, as they had done that multiple times in the past.
Midnight fell towards the forest and then crashed into the ground. As a result, the impact left her weaker. She shook as she tried to figure out what to do. The League would no doubt stop any hero in their tracks with ease...
"Creati? Can you hear me?" Midnight's weak voice spoke up to her, as their comms weren't broken.
"Ms. Midnight?" She asked in alarm, wondering what was happening.
"You know what's coming, don't you?" Midnight implored to the girl.
"Yes," She gave a small nod.
Midnight shook a little, knowing that they were the last hope that the heroes had in stopping the giant... "No one in our ranks can stop that thing with force," Her eyes shook as she had faith in her decision. "We need you."
Momo knew that they weren't supposed to be fighting. Not to mention, it was a lot to ask of them. "But that—what are you saying, ma'am?" Momo wondered, and was also concerned of her teacher's state for her to ask.
Someone then jumped up from behind Midnight, causing her to turn around with sharp eyes. "It's up to you, be strong!" She implored to Momo, who was now alarmed.
"What's going on? Ms. Midnight, are you still there?" She questioned in a panic, but got no response.
Gigantomachia was still plowing through the trees.
Momo put her hands to her head, knowing that they weren't going to be able to fight against the giant. And that Midnight wouldn't want them to. But they couldn't just leave everyone else in grave danger either, and if they did this...they might be going against orders.
'Oh, Ms. Midnight, what do I do?'
An explosion went off, causing Mina to gasp as she looked towards the smoke in the distance. "We can't just stand here!"
'Mido would support the other heroes like she did for me!' With that, Momo then made her decision. "Everybody, be prepared to move! It's been a year since we enrolled at UA High. And in that brief period of time, our teachers taught us that a real hero never turns their back or runs from an enemy!" She thought of when Izuka insisted on helping out All Might in Kamino...and that was what inspired her to do this.
"Together. As one!" She turned around while holding up the capsule. She didn't need to question her team's decision. "We'll take down this villain!"
Gigantomachia's footsteps continued to shake the ground as he moved. Mt. Lady was still clinging onto his legs, with Kamui Woods holding on tight to her using his wood.
"We'll stand our ground and end the villain's rampage here," Momo instructed the group of Class 1-A and 1-B students, keeping an eye out. Timing and planning here were going to be everything for them, so if one thing went wrong, it would be on them. And they were determined to not let that happen. To not allow so many people to suffer because of them since the students were the only ones who had a chance now. "From Tentacole's observations, we know he stands about 25 meters tall. What's more, the blue flames that shot from his back earlier looked like the ones used by the man who attacked Mr. Aizawa at our summer training camp. That means...it's likely the League is with him. They may be on his back." Midnight never had the time to tell her any of this information, but she had the feeling that she was correct in her assumption. There was only one man they knew that used blue flames after all. "According to Ms. Midnight, the only way we'll be able to subdue this giant is to put him to sleep. Normally, this tranquilizer would be injected, but given his size, I estimate we'd need to pump at least 30 liters in him." Everyone listened to her attentively, trusting in her word since she was the Class 1-A vice rep. And she was known for her strategies. "Considering how quickly he seems to be able to move, an injection is impossible, so I'm proposing we administer the drug orally." She then held up one of the capsules that she had made before. "These jars contain undiluted doses that should be enough to knock him out."
"So we get one in his mouth and that'll do it?" Itsuka questioned the girl curiously.
"The big guy goes down for a long sleep," Tetsutetsu assumed correctly, though how long it would last was unknown.
"Mmhm," Momo nodded at the two Class 1-B students. "We'll set up a trap for him. And when he goes down, we move in." It was the best way she could think of in order to get Gigantomachia stop moving long enough for them to give him the sedative.
The grass started to shift as Juzo touched it to make the grass softer, and it wasn't a small area either. "Okay, if the reports of his size are accurate, this should be enough mud to snare him."
Minoru tossed his grape balls onto some rope, continuously throwing them so that he didn't miss a spot. Mina walked up to him, examining the trap nearby. "Poor Ms. Midnight. She's still alive, right?" He didn't even look at her as he continued using his Quirk. "There's no way she'd let those losers kill her!" For once, he wasn't saying it because he...admired Midnight a lot. He was saying it because she was a teacher at UA, and also a pro hero. So allowing them to die at the hands of the Liberation Army...he dreaded that. He didn't want to think that their own teachers wouldn't be able to win, whether from UA or from work studies. Without them, none of the students would even be here right now fighting for the safety of other people.
Mina turned towards Momo, who was creating something. Setsuna and Juzo watched the Class A vice rep. "I'm sure she's fine," She then looked back at her short classmate with a small smile. "She'll be teaching us cool stuff before ya know it." Despite the dire situation they were in right now...she held onto hope that things would work out.
Gigantomachia growled as he continued to push through.
I could conserve some energy just in case, Momo thought while letting the objects fall into the soft pile of grass. No, this isn't the time to hold back. The pro heroes or the teachers, or even their own classmates not with them hadn't held back this entire time. So she wasn't going to start doing that now, when they needed as much supplies as possible.
"This is it, everybody, be ready!" Setsuna warned them all, most of her body in pieces for the trap. "He's right in front of me!" Half of her head was scoping the area, and she could see the amount of smoke not too far away from her.
Mt. Lady grunted as being dragged along did hurt, but she was determined to not let go. Even though her actions hadn't really slowed him down any further. "This moron won't stop!" She cried out, gritting her teeth. "Kamui! Wake up! You gotta let him go now!"
Spinner glanced down at the two, and none of them bothered to stop them because they found their efforts pitiful. And it wouldn't stop Gigantomachia whether they let go or not. "We should do something about this mammoth woman," Spinner gritted his teeth while looking towards Mr. Compress. The heteromorph kept what Mr. Compress said to Dabi earlier about not underestimating the heroes in mind. So he didn't want to take the chance of allowing Mt. Lady to continue following them should she have something up her sleeve. Or make a plan to stop them.
"I'm afraid we're not up to such a performance," Mr. Compress remarked in disinterest.
Gigantomachia pushed another tree and let out a roar.
"Yikes!" Minoru looked up nervously...as Gigantomachia appeared before them.
"He's on course!" Setsuna informed her team.
"Almost there!" Kyoka cried out as they watched the giant's foot stepping into the softer grass. He stumbled as he fell forward, causing the League members to fly away from his back. The heroes that were following them looked up in shock.
Kamui Woods let go at the same time that Mt. Lady did, allowing the giant to fall into the muddy grass. Momo looked back as she had gotten away in time, stepping back as Gigantomachia was sliding up to her.
"We've got him!" Some of the other students were using rope to hold the giant down. Gigantomachia continued to sink towards the grass like it was quicksand. He looked up at the ropes, growling a bit.
"Pull!" Rikido screamed as he gripped his rope tightly. "Give it all you got!" Itsuka and Jurota were pulling along as well with their strength. Gigantomachia looked up slowly as the ropes lifted up his head.
Ibara clenched her hands together, closing her eyes. "I hope you can forgive us for outnumbering you!" She then used her hair towards the giant.
"You kiddin' me?" Hanta reached out his arm, using his tape. "We're the ones at a disadvantage!" The rope and vines went around Gigantomachia's neck, along with the ropes that were being pulled. He looked around and then growled, moving his head as far as he could. Hanta let out a grunt while he pulled hard.
"If he stands up, I doubt we'll get him back down!" Jurota called out; not to mention that they wouldn't have the extra time to make another trap that might not work.
Rikido's feet slid across the grass that was intact, his feet digging into the dirt. "Come on, ugly. Say ah!" He shouted as they tried to get his mouth open. Gigantomachia managed to rip off the tape and hair, but not the sticky rope with Minoru's balls attached. The others looked up ahead nervously.
"It's a whole troupe of UA students!" Mr. Compress recognized the group from Gigantomachia's neck.
Himiko scoped the group silently, hoping a little to see Ochaco, Izuku, Tsuyu, or Izuka. However, something else was on her mind about seeing them...She then gasped as she looked back, seeing Mezo and Mashirao running up. Mezo was holding Yuga in his duplicate arms.
"Five more villains!" He warned the others.
"They won't get away!" Yuga declared, though he did look just a little terrified. He fired his navel laser towards them and the two villains ducked out of the way.
"My word!" Mr. Compress cried out as he fell onto his back.
Dabi grunted as he turned around towards an earphone jack, flames ready. He fired, and once they hit the earphone jack, Kyoka groaned in pain. The earphone jack that was attacked now had a serious burn over it. A bunch of disks were flown out, and one of them attached to Dabi's jacket. Himiko flinched in confusion as more disks attached to the others as well.
"Let's do this, Kaminari!" Reiko declared while holding up her hands, lifting up Denki.
"Try to be gentle with me," He joked, as the disks had came from his shooter. He glanced down at the five villains, as they looked up and noticed him. He gritted his teeth towards the group. With these pointers, I can shoot with everything I've got! He gasped sharply as some of Mr. Compress' orbs were flying right towards him. They opened up to reveal debris to hit him, just like with Midnight before. He then flew backwards, unable to fly back up before he could even electrify them.
"Close call," Mr. Compress' robot fingers were smoking as he had used those to fire. "The kid is powerful. I used every shot I had left, but he's no longer a threat."
"Oh my gosh," Reiko looked up in shock towards the failed tactic. And that Mr. Compress was still able to block him off before they could attack the League.
"Kaminari is out, guys!" Minoru warned the others in a panic.
"Harder! Open...his mouth!" Rikido snarled while pulling with all of his strength. Slowly, Gigantomachia's mouth started to twitch open.
"That's it! Attack!" Momo screamed while throwing her capsule.
"Just one!" Setsuna used her split hand to reach out to the giant, Hanta doing the same with his tape.
"Go to sleep!" Minoru shouted while using his sticky balls against one.
"We can't let this monster get to the city!" Hanta declared as the others threw their own capsules as well. All of them flew towards Gigantomachia's mouth as his jaw was now wide open. Momo watched in anticipation...but then the giant managed to clamp his mouth shut, sending out a huge shockwave of wind towards them. The students all yelped while bracing themselves.
"Hold on!" Mina cried out while holding onto a tree.
Dabi reached out his hand full of fire, and then used it against Gigantomachia's breath. It then spread out to the trees, turning it into a raging forest fire. Momo looked up towards the expansive flames, her eyes shaking at her failed plan.
"Gigantomachia. Gotta love your Quirk that converts morale into physical energy," Dabi remarked with a pleased smile. "And the one that keeps you from feeling pain. And there's more, of course. According to the good doctor, they chose powers that let you stay on the battlefield as long as possible. Which makes you a perfectly engineered bodyguard," He smiled a bit as smoke came from his body, knowing that first-year students would be no match for the giant.
"You do know your arm is smoking, right?" Himiko pointed out to him, staring.
"It's fine," He wasn't too worried about it; not if it meant he could still enact his own plan later. So he wanted to save his energy from this point on.
"Dang, that's hot," Hanta braced himself from the flames, which were also too large to get any closer.
"The fire is blocking us," Nirengeki gritted his teeth.
"No shadows," Shihai looked back, as there were none for him to pass through. He was also shielding Kinoko from the flames.
"My poor spores are burning up!" She cried out, and they wouldn't be able to help either.
Gigantomachia then started to get up from the muddy grass. "Oh no! He's crawling out of the trap!" Itsuka shouted as they watched him get onto his feet.
"Crap! What are we supposed to do?" Minoru wondered while Gigantomachia pulled off the ropes that were holding his neck. Itsuka, Kyoka, and Jurota looked up in terror as he stepped forward. He looked at the group menacingly...
"Now!" Momo pressed a button, causing explosions to go off. Gigantomachia shielded himself from them. Momo, Juzo, and Eijiro took off into a run. Gigantomachia had no time to react as more explosions went off around him. And he couldn't tell where they were coming from in order to stop them. "I placed bombs beneath the mud," Momo explained, as that was what she made earlier in the grass. "That's our plan B! If we bury him deeper, maybe we'll take him!" She gritted her teeth as she hoped that this would work. Midnight was depending on her, after all. So if she failed now with the others, they'd be failing the heroes. As well as everyone else that was still in Jaku City.
Spinner and Mr. Compress held on tightly to the jagged back as Gigantomachia was taking the brunt of the explosions with no problem. "Hah!" The former looked up with a smirk. "Machia here is the king of burrowing underground. He's like a big mole!"
"If he goes under, it's curtains for us!" Mr. Compress reminded his fellow League member.
"Huh?" Spinner turned to him in confusion.
"He was probably ordered to bring us along with him," He looked back towards Gigantomachia, who was now stuck again thanks to the bombs. "In truth, we're likely holding him back. He could be in a bit of trouble." Not to mention that if he did burrow underground, there was no way to prevent the League from getting swept up in it.
"That's just great," Spinner remarked in dismay as he looked up ahead. It wasn't like there was anywhere they could go. And if the order by Shigaraki theory was correct...they weren't going to be able to leave if their only ride would become incapacitated. A delay wouldn't be possible either if Shigaraki needed them there as soon as possible.
"Hey! Is this really time for chitchat? Look!" Skeptic warned as the heroes that were chasing them before jumped up to meet them. Thanks to Gigantomachia having stopped moving because of the trap, the heroes were able to catch up with them.
"League members!" One of them shouted angrily.
"The rest of your friends have been captured!"
"Accept your fate and give up!"
Mt. Lady let out a scream as she jumped in from behind and pinned down the giant. She reached out to his jaw, trying to forcibly pull it open. She gritted her teeth, having a good feeling of what the UA students were trying to do. The kids, they were trying to get something in his mouth! She knew that they wouldn't be doing that unless it was necessary. "Don't...fight! That's it. Open wide!" She got his jaw open, and he couldn't prevent her this time. Did they come up with a way to stop him? They're damn smart! She trusted them, so she didn't need to know what they were trying to give Gigantomachia.
Past the flames, Mina jumped past thanks to Acidman around her body that could sustain heat. Mt. Lady gritted her teeth while noticing her. You got this. I believe in you, baby heroes!
Mina gritted her teeth while approaching with a capsule in hand.
The flames continued to burn through the trees, the students looking up towards it. It was bigger than even Shoto's flames, something that most of them already couldn't counteract on their own...
"Is everyone okay?" Hanta called out to the others.
"The flames are spreading too fast!" Tetsutetsu placed an arm in front of his face. He may have heat resistance, but even Dabi's flames were starting to be too much.
"That was some insane firepower," Eijiro looked up in disbelief.
Reiko hid behind a tree, holding Denki on her lap in worry. "Kaminari. I'm sorry I didn't move you. Are you okay?"
"Less talk," He murmured, though not because he was dying or anything like that. But because of the feeling of Reiko's body he was laying on. "So soft..." At least he was okay given that comment...
"We were blown way back, so we're out of immediate danger," Hanta pointed out as they looked at the forest fire. "But some of our classmates are still trapped inside with him..."
Mina got past the flames with ease, some flaming rocks hitting her armor. Max viscosity. Acidman! With this gooey armor, the heat won't be a problem for me! I got this!
"Poor Ms. Midnight. She's still alive, right?" Minoru didn't even look at her as he continued using his Quirk. For once, he wasn't saying it because he...admired Midnight a lot.
And Mina still hoped for his sake that their teacher was okay as the flames burned through her armor, but she was completely unharmed. You gotta do everything you can do! Everything was riding on her getting the shot to put Gigantomachia to sleep. She wasn't scared, though...not like in her past that one time. Even if you feel frozen with fear, you fight through it! She focused on Gigantomachia's mouth while her arm was recoiled back.
"Take...a nap!" She shouted as she was right in front of him. He stared at the girl, narrowing his eyes. Seeing her determination...made him only want to get further away. The giant was not going to fail Shigaraki if it was the last thing he did. Because if he failed Shigaraki, he was failing All for One, something he never wanted to do.
"Must get to Master..." He growled out, though Mt. Lady was still holding his mouth open.
"That's it. Open wide!" She snarled down at Gigantomachia, willing herself to keep him where Mina wanted him.
"These annoying flies are costing me too much time. A mistake in judgement," His eyes then widened fiercely, as the longer he was around, the less time he had to get to Shigaraki. "Yes, I will not let them...swarm me again!" He glanced up at Mt. Lady. "Everything is for my master!"
Mina blinked as she faltered...because she had heard him before with those exact words. And her fear now doubled because...she had actually dealt with the giant before. That voice... And that was due to the fact that when the giant stranger was terrorizing her friends back in middle school...she was the one who sent him away. Mina gasped sharply at the memory.
Mina slowly fell to the ground, as she felt like she had just stopped a murderer or someone like that. "You guys! That was so scary!" She cried out, tears in her eyes as her friends hugged her.
"Thank you! You saved us!"
"If you hadn't stopped him, he would've squashed us for sure!" The other one shouted while some people went over to check on them.
She never thought about the incident again afterwards...never stopped to question who it was or what he was doing. But now...hearing his voice, having him in front of her...she felt like she was in middle school all over again. As she swung her arm forward...her hand slipped, causing her to drop the capsule in midair. Hearing his voice again just terrified her...and made her lose her confidence.
Mt. Lady opened her mouth in shock, but had no time to react as Gigantomachia grabbed her by the head. He pushed her off of him as he had managed to break free. Mt. Lady grunted as he tossed her away again, Mina left in midair. She looked up with tears in her eyes as she didn't want to fail her team because of what just happened...but at the same time, she was very scared of Gigantomachia now. She reached out to the capsule with her hands, as the giant reached out towards her...His mouth was still open as he planned to squash her with his hand...
Eijiro grunted as his unbreakable form appeared, and then he pushed Mina out of the way. She gasped sharply as he was now in front of the giant's hand...and then smacked towards the ground. Not even his hardening did anything to stop Gigantomachia from pressing Eijiro into the grass with a large thud.
Mina grunted as she rolled around to a stop. Mt. Lady hit the ground with a thump herself.
The pink-skinned girl grunted as she slowly sat up. She looked up...and realized what happened to Eijiro. "KIRISHIMA!" She screamed in horror for him, about to run up to them.
Tetsutetsu grabbed her from behind to stop her, knowing that she would get hurt if she moved any further. "Regroup with the others! Mudman's gonna put out the fire by sinking it," He informed as she was shaking.
"I can't!" She looked up at him in terror, as they had no idea if Eijiro was still alive. "He needs help!" She didn't want to see his dead body if it came to that...
"Yeah," Tetsutetsu gritted his teeth as he looked up. "The dumb punk. He won't burn like me, but I bet it was still hot." Eijiro had ran right through the flames using his Quirk, while Tetsutetsu was behind him. Still, it peeved him that he didn't manage to do anything. If it was any of his classmates, he would've done the same thing if he wasn't slower. "Ugh! I can't believe he rushed in faster!"
Gigantomachia stood up, lifting the League off of his back. "The insects are handled," He informed, looking down at the five. "Comrades. Hold on tightly." He then looked down at Eijiro's claws sinking into the giant's skin to climb up.
"Think again. I am Red Riot!" He shouted as he climbed up as fast as he could. "I won't let more blood be spilled! This ends here!" He then jumped up towards the mouth, revealing a capsule hidden in the back of his costume.
Himiko gasped sharply and threw her knife to break open the capsule.
"That was my jar, but..." He revealed another one...the one that Mina had. The pink-skinned girl looked up in shock that he was okay...and realized where he got the capsule from. When he pushed her out of the way...he had managed to grab it while she fell.
Ashido. I'll channel your chivalrous spirit and use your dose! He then threw the capsule hard as it spun around. Once it crashed into a tooth, it broke into pieces, the liquid falling into Gigantomachia's mouth. Eijiro gave a big grin that he was able to get at least one in. The giant reached out to grab him.
A few cannons were fired from down below, saving Eijiro as the giant let out a grunt. Setsuna pulled him away from the villains as they stared.
"Red Riot got it in his mouth!" Mezo reported, as they had been able to find a spot away from the fire. Thankfully, they were close enough that Mezo could see what had happened. "He pulled it off!"
"That's our boy!" Minoru praised his classmate.
Juzo touched the ground near the fire, sinking the flaming trees into the muddy grass. As they sunk, smoke came from the trees. Momo, Kyoka, and Toru were hiding underneath insulated blankets as they watched nearby.
"The more he moves around, the faster the traq is gonna work!" Momo informed as she looked up, speaking into her comm. "Kay, Majestic?"
"Nice job, Momo!" He praised his work-study student, giving a small smirk. "I knew you had this! You're an impressive young woman! Now, heroes!" He flew down using his Quirk, surrounded by other heroes he was helping fly. "We can't rely on the work study students to do all the work!" They headed towards the giant from the villa.
"The insignificant pests keep coming," Gigantomachia grunted out, as he felt like the more he pushed them away, the more they kept coming back. "I won't waste any more time on them," He then used his jaw to shield his eyes, causing the heroes to freeze.
"Hold on!" Majestic warned as he noticed it immediately.
"No way," Momo murmured in fear as she looked up.
"Seriously?" Eijiro wondered as he and Setsuna looked in shock.
"That is crazy," Tetsutetsu murmured as the giant was now reinforcing his back. "How many powers does he have?"
And now, Gigantomachia was sturdier as he lunged forward to attack.
Back in what was left of Jaku City, the twins and Katsuki were looking at something up ahead. "You're kidding," The latter muttered as they glared. "The bastard is still alive?"
Shigaraki was on the ground after the attack that they and Endeavor just unleashed...but it still did nothing against the smoking Shigaraki. His cape was completely burned, and his back had cracks in it instead of skin. Other than that, he was still alive as if nothing had happened.
"Not even a huge attack fazed him..." Izuka murmured in disbelief, glaring. It's like he's a second awakening or something...that would explain his speed and durability. And it honestly terrifies me, but that doesn't mean I can't do something. Izuku and Katsu wouldn't let this faze them, they would keep fighting. No matter what...we have to stop him right here. The fate of our home rests in our hands now... She gripped a fist, knowing that the world would fall into despair should Shigaraki escape or defeat them all. So she vowed to fight her hardest against him.
Endeavor approached the League leader. "It's over, Tomura Shigaraki," He declared and then kept his distance as he stopped. "No matter how powerful you get, we will not allow you to continue with this pointless destruction."
Shigaraki let out a weak sound as he felt like he couldn't breathe. All of this...reminded him why he hated society so much. Why he wanted to see all of it crash and burn with his own eyes, by his own doing. "You people...you heroes..." He grunted out, Endeavor gritting his teeth. "In order to save strangers you don't know, you hurt those who love you," The man spoke as if...he knew what it was like. That Endeavor essentially did the same to his family. That it was something he heard verbatim in the past. "That's what my father said...Pointless?" He scoffed at not being taken seriously. "I have a mission. Always have."
If it wasn't for Kotaro's actions against him, he wouldn't even think back on that phrase. But it was something that he was told time and time again. Something that only furthered his resolve: that the world deserved to be destroyed.
Gran Torino gave him a small glare from his spot. "Stay sharp. Watch him," He didn't want him to attack out of nowhere again like with Mr. Aizawa.
"We need to find some shelter somewhere!" Locklock looked around while Mr. Aizawa kept his eyes open. "Right, Manual. You just keep him hydrated."
Mr. Aizawa looked towards his three students and Shigaraki in silence. Shigaraki slowly got onto his feet. "Self-described heroes...you pretend to embody all that's good..." He muttered out bitterly towards all of them.
"Ah, he's on his feet again," Locklock gritted his teeth.
Meanwhile, Katsuki flinched and lifted a hand in front of Izuka, which she didn't comment about. Knowing the League's intentions with Izuka and having its leader nearby, he was not taking any chances. He did wish that she'd leave, though. As long as I'm here, that bastard isn't laying a finger on her. They still want to kill her, make sure that she doesn't become a hero. And I'm not letting that happen on my watch.
"Quickly. The finishing blow," Mr. Aizawa urged, not wanting to know what Shigaraki would do once he was fully standing. He had already destroyed most of a city just that day without lifting a finger, after all. And with him more powerful, any wrong move would get any of them killed. They were just lucky that Shigaraki currently couldn't use his Decay on any of them, otherwise they would've been dead a while back.
"Your kind is always the same," His voice was still a bit weak, but they could still hear him and his every word. "Every generation. You pretend you don't see those you can't protect...and cover up the pain you cause. Always thinking of yourselves as righteous."
The woman that stopped to talk to Tenko flinched upon seeing his creepy expression and dead-shot eyes. Already, it screamed that she should not be talking to him. "I'm sure a hero or a police officer will be here soon," The woman walked past him and he stared from her response. She then ran off as fast as the man from earlier, wanting to forget the encounter.
He watched her as she left with a dead-eyed stare, as he couldn't say anything, nor did he have the will to do anything about it. Because his thoughts were still fixated over last night, and the fact that he was by himself now. He didn't know where he would go from killing his entire family...no one ever would, honestly. Should he go to the police? Should he seek out a hero himself? He didn't know, and given his father's stance on heroes...he was still a bit terrified to even think about one. Despite his father being dead now...the memories of the abuse overtook the urge of seeking help from a hero.
"This world has grown so rotten, it's infested with maggots," He snarled while panting heavily. "It happened little by little, but your mistakes added up..." He felt like it all came back to that woman who ran away from him...not just her, but everyone else that ignored him. Everyone else that thought he wasn't a threat before. Everyone else that he wanted to destroy, thinking that they were good people when they really weren't deep down...speaking of, heroes were still helping out with the evacuations in the city. "The coddled trash got used to being protected." A girl cried in a hero's arms for her mother while heroes looked around for anyone else that needed help. "While you took advantage of these so-called victims for your own profit." Ochaco was talking gently to a little girl that was crying. "Everything that I've ever known...everything in this world you built rejected me. But not now. I'm the one who's rejecting you. That is why I destroy. That is why I keep gaining power." He then grinned towards the twins specifically.
Both of them were disgusted by what they heard. Just looking at him, they could tell that he had a lot pent up for reasons that they might not ever understand. Even if they did, it didn't change the fact...that the longing to destroy had been grown for years, and it was something that couldn't be turned off. For Izuka, it was quite disturbing given what he had done to multiple cities and innocent people. For Izuku...he wasn't ignoring what Shigaraki had done ever since the USJ Incident. At the same time, however...the boy just couldn't help but think why. Why did they have to get to this point of pointless destruction and hate?
"Heh. Simple, isn't it? And yet you just don't understand. The fact that you don't get it is why we have heroes and villains! Isn't that right, Hana?!" He screamed out that last part, staring into Izuka's eyes. She blinked at him in both terror and bewilderment from the look he was giving her. She had no idea why he was calling her that all of a sudden, because he certainly didn't forget her name. Not after they already knew Izuku's when they first encountered the League in their first year. So why using a different name for her was baffling to say the least. "This is because of you! We were supposed to fight back together, and instead, you turned your back on me! So how's it feel now?! For me to betray you like you did to me?"
"What?" Izuku furrowed his eyebrows, partly confused. Aside from her kidnapping in Kamino and the USJ Incident, he already knew that Izuka hadn't had any contact with Shigaraki. But now, he sounded like he resented her for something, but they had no idea for what or why.
"The hell?" Katsuki gritted his teeth that Shigaraki was daring to even talk to her like this. "Is there something you're holding back after all this time?" He looked over his shoulder at the girl, wondering if she saw him somewhere like during the Hassaikai Raid.
"You know just as much as I do, I don't know what the hell he's saying!" Izuka gritted her teeth, wondering why Shigaraki was directing anger towards her. What was that? It was like he was talking about someone he used to know...I don't even know a Hana, but he used that name specifically...there has to be a reason for it.
Mr. Aizawa eyed his student closely while everyone else was just confused. The way Shigaraki is speaking to Mido...it's not unlike how I spoke to Kurogiri about him being Shirakumo. Is that what he's doing? Seeing her as someone else that he knew from his past? And if so...why her? What is about Mido that sticks out to him? I doubt he'll say anything that'll give us a clear answer He also hoped that meant Shigaraki wouldn't do anything to her, given how he was acting before...
Endeavor growled before they could question it further, firing heavier flames. "Thanks for the break, I needed a little breather!" He remarked, glaring at the villain. "You're knocking at death's door, aren't you? That's good!"
Shigaraki jumped over the attack, spinning around with a big grin on his face. Endeavor recoiled back in shock, as he thought that the attack from his work-study students would've at least weakened Shigaraki...given his state earlier, he seemed to be that way. But now, he was moving around again like he wasn't hit by it.
How is he still moving?
Gran Torino then knocked him down from behind, pressing the man into the rocky ground. Endeavor's firepower has grown weaker. Must've used too many big moves. And he's wearing down as well He continued pushing Shigaraki's face into the ground. The villain swung his arm to push the hero away from him. Surpassing his limits to fight...
Shigaraki suddenly grabbed him by the leg with a big smile.
Without Quirks!
He then groaned as Shigaraki squeezed so hard that blood came from his foot. Mr. Aizawa, Endeavor, Katsuki, and the twins immediately reacted as they rushed forward.
"GRAN TORINO!" Izuku shouted in horror for his internship teacher.
Gran Torino was then tossed to the ground, blood flying from his mouth. He gritted his teeth up at Shigaraki, seeing the manic smile still plastered on his face. Even though he warned Toshinori of how to treat him...looking at his face, it was very hard to believe that he was the grandson of Nana Shimura. Just by the delighted smile of seeing people in pain...it was a terrifying situation.
What a terrible face...Shimura!
Nana hugged Kotaro as he cried while it was snowing, as she would be going away... Gran Torino watched from a nearby rooftop. He couldn't see his friend's face...but he knew that her heart was breaking on the inside. Because she wouldn't be able to lay eyes on her own child ever again...
Later that night, the two stood side by side, looking out to the lit city at night. Their capes blew in the wind as they continued to stare. "I documented the records so he's not linked to me," She informed, though she sounded very calm despite what happened. "If that man finds out Kotaro exists, he'll use my kid against us. So...I no longer have a son." He turned towards her in silence for her tone, as he could tell...she was holding back her emotions right now. "I'm not a mother anymore, Sorahiko. I never was."
"You heroes."
Shigaraki's words came ringing true again as Gran Torino remembered reaching out to Nana's cape that night.
"In order to save strangers you don't know, you hurt those who love you. That's what my father said."
And unfortunately...this did have some merit because if Nana hadn't left her son...Shigaraki wouldn't have turned out the way he did. She still had to do it, but it ultimately came with events that all tied back to her actions...she had to leave her son to save many people from All for One, including Kotaro. But by doing that, it stuck with him so much that he abused his family just for them mentioning his mother or heroes. It left him so bitter and spiteful towards even the idea of heroes...until it finally came crashing down on the Shimura family that fateful night.
Gran Torino glared up at him, wondering what Nana would say now about all of this...if she had lived to see her grandson the way he became. And thinking back on it...he had no idea what was right anymore. Shimura. Did we make the right choice? He remembered Nana crying her eyes out that night as well...despite all of the things she told him...she was still heartbroken to have to give up her son. To pretend that he no longer existed, and that she had to sacrifice being with him...to make sure All for One never found him. And she was never able to forget her decision deep down despite never speaking about it ever again afterwards.
Shigaraki's hand dug into Gran Torino's injured leg further, pushing him into the ground as blood splattered everywhere.
Izuku let out a scream with tears in his eyes. He was so angry that he wanted to defeat Shigaraki here and now. And what would he even say to Toshinori...that he let the person Nana Shimura knew the longest get defeated like this? He felt like he failed his mentor in that regard...
"Deku, no!" Endeavor screamed at the green-haired boy. The twins, Katsuki, and Endeavor soared up ahead to help out Gran Torino.
"I'm over this," Shigaraki dug into his pocket, wanting to be rid of all of them now. He took out something and jumped towards the group.
Izuku released Blackwhip while reaching out his hand. Shigaraki grinned as they zoomed right past each other. Izuku looked back in shock as the villain managed to slip past Endeavor, Katsuki, and Izuka as well. She gasped as she realized the direction he was going in.
Go Izuku willed himself to move.
Faster! Katsuki thought while he looked over his shoulder.
We can't let him! Izuka turned back slowly.
Shigaraki looked up...as Mr. Aizawa was in his eyesight, focusing only on him. Locklock looked up in alarm to see him attacking again.
Ryukyu flew in from above, swinging down her hand to stop the villain in his tracks. "Ryukyu!" Mr. Aizawa shouted in concern, knowing that if she wasn't careful, she'd decay into dust. Shigaraki managed to cut into her scales, though not destroying her thankfully. She let out a painful groan as Shigaraki had used his entire arm to punch through her hand. He hit her hand as she used the other one to grab him.
It's getting hard...to move And it wasn't just because of Ryukyu either. His whole body was slowly starting to catch up with him thanks to all of the attacks he took earlier.
Izuku grabbed his neck, using Blackwhip to surround Shigaraki. "SHIGARAKI! You're the one person...I can't forgive!" He deemed angrily; what he said to Shigaraki at the mall still rang true. Even if he tried to justify Shigaraki's actions, he could not just wash away everything he had done. Including during this war.
Shigaraki blinked as he remembered something.
Izuka hung her head a little, closing her eyes. "...When you cornered my brother, we talked to the police when you left. I was asked what I would've said to you if you asked me what was the difference between you and Stain." Shigaraki looked up attentively since she wasn't anywhere near her brother when that occurred. So he was a bit curious to hear what she had to say about it. "I said I could express gratitude to him since he saved Izuku. Which is something I'll never say about you," She looked up with a glare, though she was still terrified inside. "I want nothing to do with someone who targeted my brother in that mall and tried to hurt him."
Now that he had new thoughts on her...he felt like she was being a hypocrite, since Hana threw him under the bus. That no matter what she said, his urge to destroy was much stronger than anything else. So she didn't deserve anything, neither did Izuku by proxy.
"And I'll grant no forgiveness to anybody," He managed to move his arm to knee Izuku in the stomach hard. He coughed up some blood with a groan, growling down at the villain furiously.
"Izuku!" Izuka cried out as she witnessed it, flying towards them as fast as she could.
Turn this anger...into power! He thought, wanting to push himself as hard as possible to hold down Shigaraki. "Keep him bound, Blackwhip!" Blackwhip surrounded them both, his energy sparking off of him. Shigaraki's faster than me! I need to make sure he doesn't escape!
"Yes, that's it," Endeavor encouraged, his fist on fire. "Hold. Hold!" Muster your strength for one more attack! He urged his body to continue the flames as he fired up, hoping that it would have an effect this time. That should bring an end to this!
Izuka let out a small snarl as she was getting closer. Izuku...be careful. Do all you can to keep that monster away from them!
Shigaraki gritted his teeth angrily for continuing to be held back. Muster your strength... Thanks to him punching through Ryukyu's scales, he was able to make a hole. He wiggled his hand through her bloody one, moving his fingers up. These fools still don't know I have this... He held up...an intact Quirk-erasing bullet.
"A Quirk deleter!" Ryukyu recognized it right away.
Mr. Aizawa gasped sharply, wondering where Shigaraki got it from.
What? That same bullet that hit Tamaki and erased his Quirk for a bit? Izuka gritted her teeth as her hair flew past, willing herself to go faster. No...he wouldn't...I won't let him! Come on, Izuka, faster!
But how? That's the thing that stole Togata's Quirk. No! I can't let him fire it! One for All 100 percent! He held his arm over his head, the sleeve ripping off. Wyoming Smash! He slammed down his fist hard, creating a lot of wind pressure and sparks around them.
Shigaraki wasn't fazed in the slightest as he looked up ahead. Izuku grunted while still holding him down. This is it... He was biting down on Izuku's arm...and then the deaths of his family came to mind. Specifically of his father.
"Act as your heart desires. Don't be held back by them. What's inside of you is more important than anything else."
Even though he wanted nothing to do with All for One at the moment...he couldn't ignore the advice either. Right now. I feel as though I can overcome anything standing in my way. I just have to keep running toward my dream and remember where I came from. Nothing stopped him from killing his father or those two thugs who beat him up...so nothing was going to deter him now. Even with all of the heroes and his personal enemies that kept trying to stop him. And so...he flicked the red bullet straight ahead.
Izuku's mouth opened as Izuka's heart sank, her eyes shaking. She moved to swing her hand to fire Black Hole, change its destination...but the bullet was too fast and it sunk into Mr. Aizawa's leg. He fell forward, Locklock and Manual attempting to give him his balance back.
"ERASER!" Izuku screamed in horror, knowing that if Mr. Aizawa lost his Quirk now...it was all over.
"NO!" Izuka shouted, tears in her eyes at her failure to stop it.
Mr. Aizawa's eyes were still red though as he stared towards Shigaraki, but they were starting to close...
