Here is chapter 3! Enjoy! Any reviews are greatly appreciated! :)
Grace and Ricky sat on the couch, the scent of freshly baked cookies lingering in the air. Grace leaned back, her fingers idly tracing the edge of the plate in her lap.
"So," Ricky began, his voice low and teasing, "what's next on the agenda? A movie? Or maybe something a little more... adventurous?"
Grace raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk tugging at her lips. "Adventurous, huh? You mean like skydiving off the roof or sneaking into the neighbor's pool?"
Ricky chuckled, leaning closer. "I was thinking more along the lines of... us. You know, just the two of us."
Grace's smile faltered for a moment, her gaze dropping to the plate. "Ricky, I—"
"What is it Grace? You're not thinking about Ben, are you?" Ricky asked seriously.
Grace took a deep breath and met Ricky's gaze. "Ben? No…Heh why would I be thinking about him when you're right here." Grace replied a little nervously.
"Hey, no need to feel nervous. I know I've been with other girls but none of them compare to you, Grace." Ricky said kindly as he smirked and then gave her a short kiss.
"Mmm, right. Do you want to go upstairs?" Grace asked quietly after she licked her lips.
Ricky nodded eagerly, his eyes sparkling with excitement. He took the plate from her and set it on the coffee table, his hand finding hers and giving it a gentle squeeze. They stood up, their bodies close together, and he led her up the stairs, the air thick with anticipation.
As they reached her room, Grace felt a strange mix of guilt and thrill. She hadn't been able to shake off the image of Ben from her mind, but the pull of Ricky's charm was too strong. He closed the door behind them and she turned to face him, her heart pounding in her chest.
"I can't believe we're doing this," she murmured, her eyes searching his.
Ricky's smile grew wider. "I know it's a little crazy, but sometimes you just have to take a chance, right?"
Grace nodded, her eyes locked with Ricky's. The room was dimly lit by the lamp on the dresser, casting a warm glow over their faces. The silence was filled with the sound of their breathing, each inhale and exhale a silent acknowledgment of the line they were about to cross.
Ricky's thumb brushed over her knuckles, sending a shiver down her spine. He stepped closer, his other hand reaching up to tuck a stray strand of hair behind her ear. The scent of his cologne mingled with the cookie smell, creating a heady combination that made her knees wobble slightly.
"You're trembling," he whispered, his eyes darkening. "Are you sure about this?"
Grace took a step back, her hand coming to her mouth as she felt the gravity of the situation settle in. "I... I need a moment," she managed to say, her voice barely audible.
Ricky's smile faltered, but he nodded, giving her space. "Take all the time you need," he said, his voice gentle. He sat on the edge of the bed, watching her as she paced the room, her thoughts racing.
"Listen Ricky, I'm a Christian which means I have to wait until marriage but when I look at you, it's like another side of me wants to come out." Grace explained as she paced.
Ricky nodded, understanding her struggle. "Grace, I know it's tough but I respect that. But maybe we can still be together, just take it slow, okay?" He suggested gently.
Grace stopped pacing and looked at him, her eyes searching for sincerity in his. After a moment, she nodded. "Okay, let's take it slow," she agreed, feeling a weight lift off her chest.
"Like I said before, I'm attracted to you and thank you for giving me another chance. I was thinking we could still get a little naughty, right? You are so gorgeous. I still can't believe Jack let you go." Ricky said honestly as he smirked.
Grace felt a warm blush spread across her cheeks, unsure of what to say. She liked the attention, but she knew it wasn't right. She took another step back, putting more distance between them. "Ricky, let's not go there tonight. I'm still trying to process everything." She replied, her voice shaking slightly.
"Oh you're playing hard to get? That's kinda sexy. Come sit by me and I'll help you process everything." Ricky said seductively as he patted his hand on the bed.
Grace felt conflicted, her emotions a tornado of desire and moral obligation. She took a deep breath and sat beside him, feeling the warmth of his body radiate next to hers. They sat in silence for a moment, the tension in the room palpable.
"Okay, Ricky I must admit I'm attracted to you a lot. Let's get a little naughty." Grace said confidently as she looked at Ricky in the eyes.
Ricky's smirk grew as he scooted closer to her, his hand moving to her thigh and giving it a gentle squeeze. "I knew you had it in you," he murmured, his voice low and filled with desire.
Grace's breath hitched in her throat as his hand moved higher, his fingers brushing against the soft fabric of her dress. She looked down at their intertwined fingers, feeling the warmth of his touch, and the guilt that came with it. But she couldn't deny the thrill that coursed through her body.
Ricky leaned in, his breath warm against her neck, sending shivers down her spine. "You taste like sugar," he murmured, placing a soft kiss just below her ear.
Grace's eyes fluttered closed, her resolve wavering. "Ricky," she whispered, her voice a mix of want and fear.
He pulled back, studying her face. "What's wrong, Grace?" His thumb stroked her cheek gently, his eyes searching hers.
Grace took a deep breath and opened her eyes, meeting Ricky's gaze. "It's just... I've never done this before. I'm scared."
"I know babe. Relax, we're not going all the way. Just having some fun. Remember it's our little secret." Ricky whispered in her ear and he slowly kissed her neck.
Grace's heart raced as she felt Ricky's kisses become more intense. She knew she was playing with fire, but she couldn't help but get lost in the moment. His hands began to explore her body, sending waves of pleasure through her, making her forget about her reservations and Ben for a brief moment.
Her breath came in short gasps as Ricky's hands reached the zipper of her dress. He pulled it down slowly, inch by inch, revealing the pale skin beneath. Grace felt a thrill of excitement and a twinge of anxiety.
"Ricky, are you sure?" she asked one last time, her voice trembling with anticipation.
Ricky nodded, his eyes never leaving hers. "Positive. Now, let's make some memories we'll never forget," he said, his voice thick with desire.
Grace closed her eyes as he slipped the dress off her shoulders, allowing it to pool at her waist. She felt his warm breath on her skin as he kissed along her collarbone, his hands gently tracing the curves of her body.
Her pulse quickened as his kisses grew more insistent, his hands moving with a confidence that made her feel both nervous and excited. She knew she should stop him, but the thrill was too great to resist.
"How are you feeling now, sexy?" Ricky asked in a seductive tone after taking a breath.
Grace swallowed hard, her body tingling with sensations she'd never felt before. "I'm okay, I guess. It's just a little overwhelming. I've never done this before." She admitted as she felt his hands on her bare skin.
Ricky pulled back, looking into her eyes with a serious expression. "It's ok. You wanted to get a little naughty, right?"
Grace nodded, trying to ignore the voice in the back of her mind whispering about Ben. She took a deep breath, letting the excitement of the moment win. He leaned in for a kiss, and this time, she didn't hold back. Their kisses grew more urgent, their tongues dancing together as their bodies grew closer.
"You're so beautiful," he murmured, his voice filled with awe.
Grace's cheeks burned with a blush that deepened as Ricky's eyes traveled over her. She felt exposed, but also incredibly desired. It was a heady feeling that made her want to lean into his embrace, despite the nagging doubt in her mind.
Ricky's hand moved up to cup her cheek, his thumb tracing the line of her jaw as he kissed her deeply. The world outside their little bubble ceased to exist, and all she could focus on was the heat of his touch and the taste of his lips.
Their bodies pressed closer together, and Grace felt his heart hammering against her chest. She could hear the faint sound of the TV downstairs, a stark contrast to the passionate silence that filled the room. The guilt was still there, a heavy weight in her stomach, but it was slowly being overshadowed by the intensity of the moment.
"Wow, Ricky this has been amazing so far but…we should stop." Grace said honestly as she put her dress back on.
Ricky's hands paused and he pulled back to look at her. "Are you sure? You look like you're enjoying it."
Grace's eyes searched his, a storm of emotions playing out. "I am, but we can't keep doing this. It's not right. What if someone finds out?"
Ricky sighed, leaning his forehead against hers. "Grace, you're overthinking it. We're just having a good time."
"I know, but I can't help it," she whispered, her eyes searching his. "What if it gets complicated?"
Ricky pulled back, his expression serious. "It won't. We're just two people who still have feelings for each other, exploring those feelings. No strings attached."
Grace nodded slowly, his words resonating with her. She knew it was wrong, but the desire was too intense. They kissed again, and this time she didn't pull away. His hands roamed over her body, and she felt a thrill of excitement that she hadn't felt in a long time.
They lay down on the bed, the softness enveloping them as their kisses grew more urgent. Ricky's hand slipped under her dress, his touch light and skilled. Grace's breath hitched, and she couldn't help but arch into his touch.
The guilt was still there, a constant throb in the back of her mind, but the pleasure was too great to ignore. Ricky's kisses grew more insistent, and she felt his body tense with passion. She knew she had to make a decision, but the thrill was too tempting.
Jack and Ben's faces flashed through her mind, but she pushed them aside, focusing on the present. She wanted to experience this, to feel desired for once.
Then suddenly Grace's phone buzzed.
"Ugh, it's Adrian." Grace said annoyed as she grabbed her phone.
Ricky rolled his eyes. "What does she want?"
"Hey Adrian. What's up?" Grace answered her phone a little irritated.
"Hi chica. Not much. What are you up to tonight?" Adrian asked curiously.
Grace's heart was racing, she couldn't tell Adrian the truth. "Oh you know, just watching a movie with Ricky. Why do you ask?"
Adrian's tone grew more serious. "Uh huh. You know he was mean to me earlier. Also he's not good enough for you."
Grace felt a pang of guilt, but quickly brushed it aside. "We're just friends, Adrian. You know that."
"You're lying, Grace. I know exactly what you two are doing, sneaking around. I hope you at least use protection unless you also want to have his baby." Adrian replied firmly.
Grace's eyes widened, and she jolted up from the bed, the warmth of Ricky's embrace replaced by a cold rush of reality. She looked at him, horrified. "What? No, we're not doing that! I gotta go, Adrian, I'll talk to you later!" She hung up the phone, her heart racing.
Ricky raised an eyebrow, his hand still resting on her waist. "Everything okay?"
Grace couldn't meet his gaze. "Adrian... she said she knows what we're doing. What if she tells Ben?"
"Forget about Ben and Adrian. All that matters is us right now." Ricky said kindly and he kissed Grace's hand.
Grace sighed, feeling torn. "You're right. Let's just have fun tonight, no strings attached, okay?" She said, trying to convince herself.
Ricky's smile grew wicked. "I like the way you think, babe." He leaned in for another kiss, his hands starting to wander again.
Grace felt a knot in her stomach, but she didn't stop him. Instead, she allowed herself to get lost in the passion, her body responding despite the fear. They kissed, their hands exploring each other's bodies with a hunger that had been building for weeks.
As Ricky's hand slid under dress, her phone buzzed again. She ignored it, focusing instead on the way his touch made her skin feel like it was on fire. But the buzzing persisted, and she finally had to look.
It was Ben. Her stomach dropped as she saw his name on the screen. He never texted this late.
"Who's that?" Ricky asked, his breath warm on her neck.
"Oh…Just my Mom texting good night. Sorry about that." Grace lied as she looked away from her phone.
Ricky nodded, not questioning her. He pulled her closer and kissed her neck again, his hands sliding further up her body. Grace took a deep breath, trying to ignore the cold fear that was creeping up her spine.
The buzzing of her phone grew more insistent. She knew she couldn't ignore Ben forever. But for now, she wanted to feel alive, wanted, desired.
"All right…I guess I should get home before my parents start to worry." Ricky said seriously as he stopped kissing Grace.
Grace nodded, feeling a mix of relief and disappointment. "Yeah, you're probably right." She replied as she smiled.
They both got up and Ricky helped her straighten her dress. "Well, I had fun tonight." Ricky said with a smug smile.
Grace nodded, her heart racing. She felt guilty, but also alive. "Me too," she murmured, unable to fully meet his gaze.
Ricky leaned in and kissed her one last time before heading for the door. "I'll text you later, babe," he said with a wink.
Grace watched him leave, feeling a whirlwind of emotions. As soon as the door clicked shut, she sank onto the bed, her legs shaking. She stared at the spot where he'd been standing, trying to process what had just happened.
The next morning George and Anne were in the kitchen, the smell of pancakes and coffee filling the air. They looked up from their plates, their faces lighting up when they saw their daughter.
"Good morning, sweetheart," Anne said warmly, placing a plate of steaming pancakes in front of her. "How did you sleep?"
"I slept fine. Thanks for breakfast. I love pancakes!" Amy said kindly as she put some syrup on her pancakes.
Anne looked at her daughter with a knowing smile. "You know we always have your favorites. How was your night with Jack?"
Amy took a bite of her pancake, chewing slowly to give herself time to think. "It was good. We had a nice dinner and walked around the park. Nothing special really."
"Is that so? Then why did I hear you get home after midnight young lady?" George asked suspiciously as he crossed his arms.
Amy felt her cheeks flush. "It's not like that, Dad. We just got to talking and lost track of time. It won't happen again, I promise!"
George's expression softened a bit, but his eyes remained stern. "Well, just remember your curfew, okay?"
Amy nodded quickly. "Yes, Dad, I will. I promise." She took a deep breath, trying to push the guilt of her late-night rendezvous with Jack out of her mind.
"Are you sure you two just talked, Amy?" Anne asked concerned.
Amy nodded vigorously. "Yeah, we just had a good time hanging out. That's all." She replied trying to keep her voice steady.
"You better not be lying, Ames. You're in enough trouble already. By the way, have you thought about getting a job? Ricky can't be the only one who's supporting the baby you know." George said honestly.
Amy's heart sank at the mention of the baby and her future with Ricky. She hadn't thought that far ahead yet, the reality of her situation still too overwhelming. "I know, I'll start looking for one soon. Plus everyone is going to help me, right?"
Anne and George exchanged a look. They hadn't expected their daughter to be so accepting of the situation, but they knew she was a strong girl who could handle it. "Of course, honey. We're all here for you. But you need to be responsible too. You're going to be a mother now," Anne said gently.
Amy nodded, taking a sip of her coffee. She knew they were right, but the weight of the words felt like a boulder on her chest. Her eyes strayed to the clock on the wall, ticking away the moments she had before the baby comes.
Suddenly Jack walked in through the kitchen door with a box of doughnuts.
"Morning everyone. What's the occasion?" He asked cheerfully.
Anne and George looked at him with a mix of surprise and suspicion. "Jack, what brings you here so early?" George questioned, his tone firm.
Jack shrugged, holding up the box of doughnuts. "Thought I'd bring breakfast. You know, as a peace offering for keeping you guys up last night. Plus I missed my girl." His smile was genuine, but his eyes held a hint of anxiety.
"Aww, Jack. I missed you too." Amy responded sweetly as she gave Jack a hug after he set the box on the counter.
Jack wrapped his arms around her, holding her tightly. "You okay?" He whispered in her ear, his eyes searching her face.
Amy nodded, her voice muffled against his chest. "Yeah, just tired. Thanks for the doughnuts." She managed a smile, her mind racing.
"So, you two have any plans this Saturday?" Anne asked intrigued after sipping her coffee.
Jack and Amy exchanged glances, their hearts racing. "Well, we might go to the movies or something. Nothing too crazy, just taking it one day at a time." Amy replied casually.
"Good morning, everyone. Ah, I see the wannabe father has arrived." Ashley said casually as she walked into the kitchen.
Jack tensed and Amy's cheeks flushed at Ashley's words. George and Anne looked at her, surprised by the hostility in her voice.
"What's that supposed to mean?" George asked, his eyes narrowed.
Ashley shrugged, pouring herself a cup of coffee. "It's just an observation. You know, Jack's always been the responsible one, and now he's playing daddy to a baby that's not even his. It's kind of ironic, don't you think?"
Her words hung in the air like a bad smell, and the tension grew thick. "Ashley, that's enough," Anne said firmly, her eyes flashing with warning.
Jack stepped forward, his jaw clenched. "What's your problem?"
Ashley turned to him, her expression cool. "My problem is that you're playing a game with my sister's heart. You're not the father, and you have no business acting like it."
Jack's eyes narrowed. "I'm here for Amy, whether you like it or not. And if that means supporting her through this, then I will."
"Exactly Ashley! We're in love." Amy said sternly as she grabbed Jack's hand.
The room grew quiet as the tension escalated. George and Anne exchanged a look of shock, not expecting this revelation so soon.
"In love you say? Now we're having fun, aren't we? Guess this means I should get pregnant so I can get a boyfriend too." Ashley said sarcastically as she looked at Amy and Jack.
Amy's grip on Jack's hand tightened, her eyes filled with anger. "Ashley, that's not fair! You don't know what it's like to go through this!"
"Oh, I don't? You think you're the only one who's ever had to deal with drama around here?" Ashley shot back, her eyes flashing.
Amy's temper flared. "This isn't drama, Ashley. This is my life! And if you can't support me, then maybe you should just leave!"
"Where am I going to go? I'm thirteen. Don't be so dramatic, Amy. I was just joking." Ashley replied calmly as she sat at the kitchen table with her breakfast.
"All right. I guess we'll see you all later." Jack said kindly and he led Amy out the kitchen door.
"Are you all right, Ashley?" Anne asked concerned.
"Yeah I'm fine. Just stating the obvious. Besides, just because she's having a baby doesn't mean I can't mess with her." Ashley answered honestly as she grinned.
"Ha ha yeah! The wannabe father comment was genius!" George laughed as he smiled at Ashley.
"Really George? Did you two plan this?" Anne asked annoyed as she looked at George.
"Don't be ridiculous, Anne. Jack just showed up. Now that I know Ashley was joking it makes it funnier." George responded seriously. Anne sighed and rolled her eyes as she got up from the table.
Amy felt her heart racing as they stepped into the cool morning air. "Jack, I'm sorry about Ashley. She's just a little...sensitive right now. Sometimes she can be sweet."
Jack's jaw was still clenched. "It's fine. I know she's your sister, but she's got to realize we're in this together. We need all the support we can get."
Amy nodded, feeling the weight of the world on her shoulders. "I'll talk to her later. Let's go somewhere more private. I really got the hots for you last night."
"Mmm me too. We could go to my place. My parents are out of town for a conference thing for the church." Jack said quietly as he smirked.
Amy felt a thrill at the thought of being alone with Jack again. "Sounds good to me!"
Jack's smile grew wider. "Great. We can watch a movie, talk, and maybe...you know...have a little fun?" He suggested as he winked at her.
"Absolutely. I need a break from my crazy family today." Amy said happily as they got into Jack's truck.
About ten minutes later they arrived at Jack's house and went straight upstairs to his room.
"So, do we want to start off with having some fun?" Jack asked seductively as he took his shirt off.
Amy nodded, feeling the butterflies in her stomach. "I'd love to, Jack. You are so hot."
Jack leaned in and kissed her softly. His hands roamed over her body, sending shivers down her spine. She felt herself getting lost in his embrace, the stress of the morning melting away.
They lay on the bed, their kisses growing more passionate. Amy felt a rush of excitement as Jack's hand slipped under her shirt, his touch setting her skin alight. She had never felt so alive, so wanted.
"Mmm, Jack. You are so good at this but we're still just fooling around, right?" Amy asked worried after taking a breath for air.
Jack nodded, his eyes dark with desire. "Of course, babe. We're taking it slow, remember?"
Amy nodded, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. They had talked about this, about not going too far, but the way he looked at her made her question if she could actually stop.
Jack's hand continued to explore her body, his touch growing more insistent. She moaned softly into his mouth, her resolve wavering. She wanted him, she wanted this, but she didn't want to rush into anything she might regret later.
"Jack," she whispered, pushing against his chest gently. "We should slow down."
Jack's eyes searched hers, a flicker of disappointment crossing his features, but he nodded. "Okay, okay," he murmured, leaning back slightly to give her some space. "We can just talk, if you want."
They lay there for a moment, their breathing slowly returning to normal. Amy took a deep breath, feeling both relieved and a little disappointed. "Yeah, maybe talking would be good," she said, sitting up and straightening her clothes.
Jack nodded, understanding her hesitation. He sat up next to her, putting his arm around her shoulders. "So, where should our first time together be?"
Amy blushed, feeling both nervous and thrilled by the question. She took a deep breath and looked up at him. "I don't know. Somewhere special, I guess."
Jack's gaze was intense. "How about the beach? At sunset? It'll be just us, with the waves crashing and the sand between our toes."
Amy's heart skipped a beat at the thought. "That sounds perfect," she murmured, leaning into his embrace. "But are you sure about this? I'm getting fatter by the minute."
Jack kissed her forehead, his voice firm. "Amy, you're beautiful, no matter what. And I want to make sure our first time is something we'll remember forever."
Amy couldn't help but smile at his sweetness. "Okay, let's do it."
Jack's eyes lit up with excitement. "Great. We'll plan it for this weekend. Just the two of us."
Amy nodded, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. "But we should keep it a secret, right?"
"Of course. This is just about us." Jack said smiling as he hugged Amy tighter.
"You really think I was serious? I'm about to have a baby, Jack." Amy said sternly as she looked at Jack.
Jack took a deep breath. "I know, Amy. But I'm here for you. And I want to make sure that we have something beautiful to look forward to, just the two of us, amidst all of this craziness. Plus, I want to make sure you're happy and comfortable, and if that means waiting until after the baby's born, then that's what we'll do."
Amy felt a rush of love for Jack, despite her earlier doubts. "You're such a good guy, Jack. Thank you for understanding."
Jack kissed her cheek. "I'm just trying to be the best boyfriend I can be for you and the baby. Now let's go watch that movie before your family sends out a search party."
They settled on the couch, Jack's arm around her, and chose a rom-com to watch, hoping to lighten the mood. As they laughed together, Amy felt a pang of guilt for what she and Ricky did at band camp. But that was then and this is now. She looked up at Jack, his eyes on the screen, and made a silent promise to herself to never betray his trust.
Meanwhile at the cafe Grace and Ben were having coffee together.
Grace felt a pang of guilt as she sat across from Ben, sipping her coffee. She hadn't told him about everything that happened yesterday with Ricky.
"You seem a bit off, Grace. Is everything okay?" Ben asked, noticing her distant gaze.
Grace forced a smile, her thoughts racing. "Yeah, I'm just tired. Got a bit overwhelmed with homework last night." She hoped her lie sounded convincing.
"Homework on a Friday night? You must like to study, huh?" Ben replied surprised.
Grace chuckled nervously. "Yeah, I guess you could say that."
Ben studied her for a moment before his gaze softened. "Look, if there's anything on your mind, you can tell me. I'm here for you, remember?"
"Thanks Ben. I'm here for you also. So, what's it like being the sausage prince?" Grace said kindly as she smiled.
Ben rolled his eyes, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "It's alright, I guess. Sometimes it's a bit much, you know?"
Grace nodded sympathetically. "Heh, I can't imagine. Are you sure that you want to give me a chance? I know you liked Amy."
Ben leaned back in his chair, his eyes searching hers. "Grace, I do like you. And I'm not going to lie, it was tough when she chose Jack. But at least they seem to be happy."
"Yeah they do. I still can't believe he chose her over me. She's having a baby and I'm well...waiting until marriage." Grace said nicely and then quietly.
Ben took a sip of his coffee, his expression curious. "Are you saying that you miss Jack?"
"Of course not. He didn't treat me right but you seem like a real gentleman." Grace answered honestly.
Ben's cheeks flushed slightly. "I'm just trying to be a good person, Grace. You deserve that."
Grace felt her heart flutter. "Thank you, Ben. That means a lot to me." She took a sip of her coffee, the warmth spreading through her. They talked for hours, sharing stories about their families and their hopes for the future. The conversation flowed easily, and Grace found herself feeling more and more comfortable in his presence.
As the sun began to set, casting a soft glow through the cafe windows, Ben reached across the table and took her hand. "Grace, I know we've only just started getting to know each other, but I can't help feeling something for you."
"Aww thanks Ben. I thought we weren't going to get that serious right away." Grace said kindly as she looked at him.
Ben leaned in closer, his eyes searching hers. "I know, but when I see someone as amazing as you, I can't help it."
Grace felt the heat rise in her cheeks, but she couldn't deny the warmth spreading through her chest. "Well, I think you're pretty amazing too," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
Meanwhile at the butcher shop Ricky was working on an order when Adrian walked in.
"Oh, look who it is." Adrian said slightly amused as she looked at Ricky.
Ricky's heart skipped a beat as he looked at her, trying to play it cool. "Hey Adrian. What can I get for you?" He hoped his voice didn't betray his nerves.
"I'll have a couple steaks please with a side of how was Grace last night?" Adrian said seriously.
Ricky's eyes widened, and he tried to keep his cool. "Just a normal night. Why do you ask?" He hoped his voice didn't give away his nervousness.
"Just chill, we're all friends here. So you two did it?" Adrian whispered.
"Of course not! I'm not making another mistake." Ricky said a little irritated as he handed Adrian her bag with steaks.
Adrian raised an eyebrow. "Oh really? Well, just be careful. See you at school on Monday unless you wanna come over later." Adrian winked at Ricky after paying for the steaks.
Ricky nodded, trying to ignore the mischievous grin on Adrian's face. "Yeah, maybe. But I've got a lot of homework."
"Right. Like you've never ditched homework for a hot date before," Adrian teased, her eyes sparkling with amusement.
Ricky couldn't help but chuckle. "Okay, you got me there. But this is different. It's complicated." He sighed, the weight of the situation settling on his shoulders.
Adrian leaned on the counter, her eyes softening. "Look, Ricky, I know you've been through a lot. But if you guys are happy, that's all that matters, right?"
"I guess it depends on how her date with Ben goes. Bye Adrian." Ricky answered annoyed.
Adrian laughed. "Oh, so you're jealous? That's so cute."
"I'm not jealous," Ricky protested, his cheeks coloring slightly. "I just... I don't know. I want what's best for her."
"Yeah, yeah. Bye Ricky." Adrian said smiling as she walked out the door.
Ricky stood there for a moment, feeling a mix of annoyance and confusion. Jealous? Of Ben? He wasn't sure what to think. He knew Ben was a good guy, but he couldn't shake the feeling that he had something to prove. He left the butcher shop with a new determination to win Grace over completely.
Meanwhile at the beach Amy and Jack were enjoying a picnic dinner.
"Jack, this is so sweet of you. Thank you for planning this," Amy said, looking around at the romantically set up picnic area.
Jack took her hand and led her to the blanket. "Of course, babe. You deserve it." He helped her sit and handed her a plate filled with her favorite foods.
"Wow these wings are delicious!" Amy said happily after taking a bit of a honey BBQ wing.
Jack chuckled, watching her. "Glad you like them. I figured we should do something nice before things get too crazy with the baby coming."
Amy nodded, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves about the future. They talked and laughed, sharing stories from their days and planning for the upcoming baby. The moon began to shine, casting a glow over the sand as the waves gently kissed the shore.
As the night grew later, the conversation turned to their relationship and the challenges ahead. "Jack, I've been thinking...what if Ricky and I get closer after the baby comes?"
Jack paused, setting his plate aside. "What do you mean?"
Amy looked at him, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears. "What if we raise the baby together, and then I realize I have feelings for him? That would be so messed up for everyone involved."
Jack took a deep breath, trying to process her words. "Amy, you can't predict what will happen in the future. We're here now, and we're in this together." He squeezed her hand reassuringly. "If that happens, we'll deal with it then. But for now, let's just focus on us. We also love each other so there's nothing to worry about, right?"
Amy nodded, feeling comforted by his words. They sat in silence for a moment, watching the waves roll in. The salty scent of the ocean filled the air, mixing with the sweetness of the picnic.
"I love watching the waves, it's so beautiful." Amy said sweetly as she laid her head on Jack's chest.
"It's nothing compared to you." Jack murmured, playing with her hair. Amy smiled and he gave her a slow kiss.
"Mmm...Thanks handsome. You want to take a dip?" Amy asked kindly after licking her lips.
Jack nodded eagerly. "Yeah, let's cool off."
They both stood up, the picnic basket and blanket left behind as they made their way to the water's edge. The cool sand felt good between their toes as they waded into the gentle waves. The water was surprisingly warm, wrapping around them like a second skin. They swam out a little further, laughing and splashing each other, the stress of the day melting away with every drop of saltwater.
Jack wrapped his arms around Amy, holding her close as they floated together, the moon casting a silver path across the water. "You know, no matter what happens with Ricky, I'll always be here for you," he whispered into her ear, his voice barely carrying over the sound of the waves.
Amy looked up at him, her eyes shimmering with a mix of emotion. "I know. But it's just... I don't want to hurt anyone, especially not you or the baby."
Jack kissed her forehead, his arms still holding her securely. "You won't. We'll figure it out, okay?" He said it with such conviction that Amy couldn't help but believe him.
They swam back to shore, hand in hand, the cool night breeze kissing their wet skin. As they reached the picnic area, Jack grabbed a towel and wrapped it around Amy's shoulders. "Ready to go home?" He asked gently.
"Almost. I was thinking we could make out more to warm up." Amy whispered in an alluring tone.
Jack couldn't resist and leaned in for a passionate kiss. The salty taste of the ocean on her lips made him want more, but he knew they needed to take it slow.
Amy felt Jack's hands tighten around her waist, pulling her closer as their kisses grew more urgent. The gentle sway of the ocean behind them mimicked the rhythm of their hearts.
Their kisses grew deeper, their bodies tangling together under the moonlit sky. The warmth of their passion was a stark contrast to the cool evening air, creating a bubble of intimacy that seemed to encapsulate them.
Jack's hands slid up to cup Amy's face, his thumbs brushing away the stray droplets of water from her cheeks as he broke the kiss to look into her eyes. "You're sure about this?" He whispered, his voice husky with desire.
Amy nodded, her eyes filled with a need that mirrored his own. "More than anything. I don't have anymore doubts, Jack. You're my soulmate."
Jack's heart swelled with love for her. He leaned in and kissed her again, their lips moving together with a familiarity and passion that had only grown stronger over the months. The sound of their kisses mingled with the whispers of the ocean, the waves playing a gentle serenade to their love.
Their hands began to explore each other's bodies, the fabric of their swimsuits the only barrier to the heat that was building between them. Amy's skin was soft and warm against his, and Jack could feel the tension in her body as she pressed closer to him. He knew that he had to be careful, that they had to take it slow, but the desire was overwhelming.
They laid down on the picnic blanket, the sand cool against their backs as they kissed. Jack's hands roamed over Amy's body, tracing the curves that had grown more pronounced with her pregnancy. He marveled at the changes in her, finding her even more beautiful than before.
Amy's fingers danced along Jack's bare chest, feeling the muscles beneath his skin contract with every touch. She was lost in the moment, her fears and doubts about Ricky fading away as she focused on the man in front of her. They were falling deeper in love with each kiss and touch. Even though they were young, they knew they were made for each other.
"Ok Amy, I should get you home. If we keep making out, who knows what might happen." Jack said honestly as he sat up on the blanket and put his shirt back on.
Amy giggled, a little embarrassed but mostly just happy. "You're right. I don't want to make any mistakes." She put her hand on her stomach protectively.
Jack nodded, his eyes filled with love. "Let's go home, my love."
They gathered their things, the magic of the moment lingering as they walked hand in hand back to the car. The ride home was filled with quiet contentment, the gentle hum of the engine and the rhythmic sound of the tires on the pavement a soothing lullaby.
When they pulled into the driveway, Jack helped Amy out of the car, his hand never leaving hers as they made their way to the front door. Inside, the house was still and dark, a stark contrast to the vibrant life they had just shared on the beach.
"Thank you for tonight, Jack. It was perfect," Amy said, her voice filled with genuine warmth.
Jack couldn't help but smile. "You're welcome, Amy. I'll always be here for you, no matter what." He leaned in to kiss her forehead before walking her to her door.
"Goodnight," Amy murmured, her voice filled with a mix of longing and contentment.
Jack kissed her lips, his hand lingering on the small of her back. "Goodnight, beautiful. I love you."
"I love you too," Amy whispered back, her eyes fluttering shut as she felt his warmth leave her. She watched him walk back to his car, the porch light casting a soft glow over his figure. Once he was gone, she stepped inside, feeling a mix of emotions. She knew they had to be careful, but she couldn't help the thrill that coursed through her. She quickly got ready for bed, her thoughts swirling with excitement about their future together.
