July 22, 1998

I did hear from Yerba Buena that Major Maggie Beckett successfully made a slide to New York City of Deadlight World and returned. She had even called Slidetronics, but Quinn was not there at the moment.

There would have to be some more test slides, of course, but it did seem that we may be able to anywhere within alternate versions of the North American continent and back.

Maybe by the end of 1999, we can slide to anywhere on other versions of Earth.

And maybe by 2010, we could slide to parallel universes with no Earth.

I am getting ahead of myself.

I decided to read back on my journals. Most of the entries were about mundane things of daily life. The last thing of note was when Quinn went to live in Deadlight World back last month, on June 12th.

Though perhaps I should call it Quinn's New World.

The month of May 1996 was very eventful, as I was just discovering this new yet familiar world.

And now, I have settled into a routine.

Quinn, Wade, and Rembrandt must have felt this way after years on his new world, before they received that letter from me back in February.

They probably have already settled into the routines, as I have.
