Author's Notes:

Hello again! Been a month but welcome to the second story to Tales from the Beyonder! And there's going to be a lot of surprises for this story going forward. So hang on tight and hope you enjoy this one.

"In her prime universe, young Hailey Banks was a girl who was averse to taking risks but on one faithful night on New Year's Eve, she was visited by a scientist from the future where completing a list of tasks she was averse to taking risks on had led to fixing global warming! All the while avoiding chaos bots that were sent to prevent such a future.

But in this universe, on Earth-060322, there is no such future. And as such, this variant of Hailey Banks is still her risk averse self. No chaos bots, no time travel. Just the same Hailey Banks as before. Well, that was until she did decide to take a risk for once. Just too bad she got the attention of a Time Lord with less-than-ideal intentions to put it mildly. I call this piece… The Time Lord and Hailey Banks."

Earth-060322: Oceanside, California

The sun rose in the morning, especially on the home of the Banks family.

Inside a room upstairs, a young brown skinned Hawaiian-American girl with freckles, a gap between her teeth and brunette hair slept soundly in her bed as she hugged her pillow.

"Oh Scott…" Hailey giggled in her sleep. "You lost your pants again."

"Kiss me…" She added as she began to smooch on her pillow just as her retainer fell loose from her mouth.

Suddenly, she began to cough and woke up completely as she bolted upright.

Hailey looked at her drooled on pillow and facepalmed.

"Not again…" Hailey groaned as she sighed.

The girl then eyed on her alarm clock and saw it was past 8:30 a.m. More specifically around 9:55.

"CRUD, I'M LATE!" Hailey exclaimed as she threw her retainer in a glass of water and grabbed her glasses while running into her closet.

Very quickly, she wore her usual outfit which consisted of blue overalls albeit only held by one strap, a red and white shirt, gray slip on shoes, her hair wrapped in a ponytail and red glasses.

She rushed out of her room and into the bathroom in a mad panic as she brushed her teeth and sped out of her home.

"Gottagobye!" She hastily said to her parents, Kai and Patricia, who had been pregnant for eight months, as she rushed out the door much to their confusion but figured Hailey was in a rush anyway as they shrugged, even chuckling to themselves given they knew their daughter well.

Hailey then sped away on her bike. She had remembered today was going to the Oceanside Carnival with her friend Scott as a new ride had recently opened up; The Abominable Mr. Dark Vibes. A ride that was part dark ride, part rollercoaster. And a point of internal debate for Hailey Banks herself as she debated whether she should take a risk on the ride or not. She considered all her pros and cons for going. Such as would lead to being more confident about taking risks or something bad could happen. Internally, she weighed between the pros and cons and had not made a decision up until today.

Hailey had even continued her internal debate as she rode her bike to the carnival as she had finally arrived with Scott waiting outside.

"I'm so, so, sorry I was late!" Hailey apologized to her friend. "I overslept!"

"Hey, you're just in time!" Scott assured Hailey. "The park opens at ten this weekend."

He said as soon as the gates opened.

"Oh!" Hailey chuckled in embarrassment. "I knew that!"

The duo entered the carnival just as it was kicking it into high gear as people were already getting in line for the rides, participating in various carnival games or in the case of vloggers, just all around making web content either rating foods or rating whatever rides there were able to go on.

Hailey and Scott were able to participate in a few games. Though at first, she was unsure about participating in any of them. But nevertheless, she made the decision to at least try one of the games at the very least. Hailey had picked the easiest one she could find, which was the game of spraying a racing horse with a water gun and whoever won would get a prize.

Though at first, it was not easy as she sprayed an African American boy in a green t-shirt next to her by accident. And then to a random passerby who so happened to be a vlogger.

Hailey blushed in embarrassment but soldiered on as she managed to hit the racing horse. She pressed on the trigger as hard she could as water sprayed from the gun. For her, it was tense as she wanted to win. And to her shock, she did. Much to her excitement, Hailey had won. She picked a prize which turned out to be a pink flamingo bean bag that looked like her pet flamingo, Frank.

Hailey in turn, had a bit of a newfound confidence, even winning a game of ring toss and winning a fish plush this time. But save for an incident when she had tried the Test Your Strength game, she accidentally used the hammer to hit her foot as she failed to lift it. As due to the sheer weight, she could not even hold the hammer for more than two seconds and as people narrowly avoided her swings, even Scott, the hammer hit her foot instead.

Moments later and after a pack of ice on her foot, she was able to walk again. At least after she stopped feeling the numbness on her foot and riding a lot of carnival rides to boot.

"Okay, that didn't work out as I hoped." Hailey remarked dryly.

"Hey, we're here!" Scott exclaimed in excitement and much to Hailey's fear.

There they were, the newest attraction of the Oceanside Carnival; The Abominable Mr. Dark Vibes. Hailey stared in awe at the sight before her. It so far lived up to the Horror vibe it was aiming for it with its scary looking sign in dark red and black, the letters all sharp and pointed to give the illusion of intensity as well as the large exterior which was a gothic looking castle which undoubtedly where the highest tracks were given the part roller coaster aspect of the dark ride.

Hailey had forgotten all about her internal debate given her small hotstreak of carnival games and rides. But this was the one ride she still did not decide whether she would go or not. She figured she had to make a decision now or never.

"Let's get in!" Hailey exclaimed.

She chose now.

"Really?" Scott asked, impressed his friend took another big step as the

"Yeah!" Hailey replied. "Sure, the hammer thing was an accident but I think I can take this."

"It's supposed to be very dark, very scary; I heard one guy puked his last lunch on the loop de loop!" Scott said excitedly.

"Eww." Hailey recoiled in disgust.

"Oh he was fine after that!" Scott added with assurance.

Hailey chuckled, "If you say so."

As Scott discussed more about the rumors of people who rode the ride while the two stood in line, the attendant from afar held up his phone that contained a picture of Hailey. Or at least a picture of a failed class photo of hers where her hair was frizzled and a broken and cracked lens on her glasses with a dorky smile.

The attendant placed the phone down as he double checked his reference between the photo and her. He wondered why this photo was the only reference but there was no question this Hailey was the girl he was looking for as his eyes narrowed darkly as he stared at her.

Finally after an hour, the line shortened and Hailey and Scott finally entered their car. Which was a two seat-one car on a track, which had a demonic shaped face on the front.

Hailey and Scott fist bumped each other as the safety bars latched onto them.

"Enjoy the ride." The ride attendant said with little enthusiasm, who was an older Caucasian man in his late thirties and early thirties with dark hair and British accent in a butler uniform, to fit in with the gothic theme of the ride.

With that, the ride car took off as the automatic doors swung open and closed as they entered.

"For now, at least." He quietly muttered under his breath.

With that, he began to walk away as another similarly dressed ride attendant walked by.

"My break has started, you take over." Said the man as he walked away from the ride.

The other ride attendant glanced at him confusion but shrugged nevertheless as he took his place.

The previous ride attendant lightly jogged as he found his hiding spot but not before two men spotted walking together in police uniforms as he and the policeman nodded to each other in acknowledgement. He then spotted a bathroom and stepped inside as he locked the door.

The man then checked every stall to see if anyone was still inside and to his confirmation, no was there.

The man took out a small pad that fit on the palm of his right hand. It suddenly emitted a small hologram of an old woman with white hair in a pompadour hairstyle.

"This is Lytton." The man said. "I found the girl. She's in the establishment as we speak and the explosives in place as planned."

"Excellent." The old woman said in satisfaction. "Proceed with phase two and I will meet you in the intended location."

"It shall be done, Tecteun." Lytton nodded.

The hologram disappeared as he placed the pad back in his pants pocket and in turn, took out a remote and stared at his watch on his left wrist.

The time was 3:30 P.M. He had to wait for two minutes to hit his mark but now it was one minute as it had just changed to three thirty-one.

Lytton stared intently as his thumb awaited to press the red button. He wanted to time his assignment just about right.

Inside the ride however, Hailey and Scott were having the time of their lives as the ride started slow but then accelerated as animatronics and cardboard displays of mad scientists and monsters and demons were popping in and out throughout the ride.

Hailey and Scott then noticed the car on the track was heading toward the roller coaster aspect of the ride as they noticed the track going upwards and they were seconds away from the reaching the top. But disguised in the darkness of the ride, they had failed to notice a peculiar looking device on the bottom.

Lytton had carefully timed where the car would drive over the explosive meant for Hailey after studying the layout and watched the ride in action with the maintenance crew prior to completing his assignment.

The mercenary grew impatient just as the car was seconds away from running over the explosive. Finally, just as the car approached the explosive, the time now read 3:32 and Lytton pressed the red button on the remote.

Suddenly, the track exploded and the car was violently thrown overboard much to the shock of Hailey and Scott as the safety bars unlatched and soon, the two teens were thrown overboard as more explosives were set off. Smoke filled the entire ride as the place started to get caught on fire. The car flipped over and landed on Scott as he was knocked unconscious. As was Hailey who lay on the floor, knocked out.

Hearing the commotion outside, Lytton unlocked the bathroom door to find the same policemen he nodded to, now dressed in fireman uniforms and gave him a firefighter uniform of his own, coat and hat. Hastily, Lytton placed it on him and he raced toward the ride as the crowd gathered to watch.

Lytton pushed aside the civilians as he raced toward the now burning ride as smoke poured out from the castle exterior. No one batted an eye due to believing he was an actual fireman.

With an axe in hand, Lytton chopped down the ride doors and he and the two men who accompanied him stepped inside the ride.

"Put on your masks." Lytton ordered his men.

The men placed their fire masks on their faces as they walked inside. However, they were still taken aback by the smell of the smoke and the intensity of the flames. But for Lytton, it might as well come with the job.

He could tell much of the denizens have cleared out of the ride by now given the empty space and discarded cars. Lytton and his men ventured further into the ride, all whilst chopping away at various props that were obstructing his view.

Finally, he found Hailey lying unconscious a few feet away from the car with Scott still underneath it. Hailey appeared bruised with soot on her clothes and a bit of her face as she was lying face down as well a few cuts on her hands and ankles and even some small cuts on her face and cracked lens on her glasses.

Suddenly, he turned to a bit of the farther to hear the sound of a TARDIS materializing. It took the form of an organ.

"Make sure no one gets inside until we leave." Lytton ordered his men.

The two men nodded and walked away.

Hailey's eyes fluttered open a bit as she saw and smelled the smoke and fire much to her confusion. She failed to notice however a dark figure looming above her.

"H-hey…" She weakly said as her voice was a bit hoarse.

"You'll be alright. At least by one's definition rather than your own." The man said.

She recognized him as the ride attendant despite her blurry vision and cracked lens on her glasses.

"Hey, you're that guy…" Hailey squinted her eyes at the man before her. She had recognized him as the ride attendant from earlier.

Lytton began to lift her up as Hailey started to become uncomfortable around his presence.

"Hey, what are you doing…?!" Hailey protested as she tried to pound on his shoulders despite her weakened and injured state.

Lytton had managed to lift her over his shoulder despite Hailey doing her best to break free but her injuries prevented her from going any further and passed out again.

Scott groaned as he began to wake a bit and managed to see Lytton carrying Hailey toward what he assumed was a pipe organ.

Scott tried to cry out, especially as it did appear to be a kidnapping but his voice was hoarse that nothing came out of his vocal cords. But he extended his arm in an attempt to reach his friend but was of no use.

Suddenly, a piece of falling debris fell in between the two. With Lytton turning around a bit before he continued to walk away.

Scott was distraught and felt helpless as Hailey was no longer in his sights before he passed out once again.

Lytton entered inside the organ camouflaged TARDIS and it dematerialized afterwards upon the door being closed.

Inside the TARDIS, the old woman Lytton had conversed with, Tecteun, had approached the mercenary with her arms crossed as she stood behind an operating table.

"My men kept every civilian outside." Lytton said. "And I believe this is the girl you requested."

"Place her on the table." Tecteun ordered the mercenary.

He gently placed Hailey on the table as she once again started to wake up. Groggily, she noticed the two people inside, just as Lytton took out a syringe.

"What is that?" Tecteun asked Lytton.

"Insurance." Lytton replied. "This should knock her out for a couple of hours until surgery is completed."

"Surgery?" Hailey weakly asked.

Lytton and Tecteun paused and turned to see Hailey was awake. Lytton duly noted inserted the syringe into Hailey's neck despite her attempt to prevent him from doing so but was still far too weak to even grab his arm.

"I told you." Lytton said, a bit annoyed he was right.

"No…" Hailey breathed weakly as her eyes closed shut completely.

24 hours later…

Slowly but surely, Hailey's eyes opened. From her perspective, she was in a purple and reddish colored room with lights surrounding her. At first, her vision was fogging until they had started to clear up and noticed her glasses were still intact somehow She groaned as she felt sore from what had happened before.

She glanced to the left to see an old woman in brown and cream colored clothing and a straw hat with the behind her head to hold it when pulled down and her white hair styled in a pompadour. Her appearance made her look like a gardener to Hailey.

"Huh." Hailey made a noise of a remark.

She then glanced to her right and to her horror, it was Lytton. The man with a cold expression on his face who she thought was the ride attendant but evidently, her kidnapper.

Instinctively, she wanted to run but despite her reflex; she could not get up.

"What the?!" Hailey exclaimed. "What's going on?! Why can't I move?!"

Hailey grunted as she struggled to get up.

"You're strapped down, genius." The old woman rolled her eyes. "Even despite one of your abilities given our work done to you, the straps are made of a stronger alloy."

"Who are you?!" Hailey demanded.

"Well, might as well get it out of the way since we're going to know each other very soon." The old woman replied. "My name is Tecteun. I'm the head of The Divison for the Time Lords. Reductive way to put it but it sums it up."

She then pointed to Lytton.

"And that is Lytton. My recent recruit. Efficient mercenary at the very least."

"You kidnapped me!" Hailey shouted.

"Don't think of it as kidnapping." Tecteun scoffed. "Think of it as aggressive recruitment."

"No, no, don't get soft on the term!" Hailey protested. "It is still kidnapping!"

"In any case," Tecteun growled for a moment before she calmed down. "You are needed for something that needs to be done."

"What do you mean?" Hailey asked with her eyebrow raised.

"You see, one of us escaped." Tecteun began to exposit the information to the fourteen-year-old girl. "Running around the cosmos and then the multiverse."

"Hang on, the multiverse is real?" Hailey asked.

Tecteun in response glared at her.

"I'm not apologizing!" Hailey retorted. "You still kidnapped me!"

"Just tell her already." Lytton rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"I'm getting to it!" Tecteun gritted her teeth.

She continued, "In any case, she calls herself The Doctor and I want her back. I can't let her roam free. But trouble is, she's made allies in the categories of enemies of the Time Lords; known as superheroes."

"You have a beef with superheroes?" Hailey asked.

"Yes!" Tecteun nodded. "These…superheroes…"

She uttered the last word in disgust.

"They are a threat to Time Lord society." Said Tecteun. "The way I see it, they are like The Doctor. Always interfering with time with their annoying tendency to do 'the right thing', saving civilians, caring about social justice. It's utter madness who they're persistent in helping others! That is all very problematic."

Hailey stared at her with a baffled expression on her face.

"So let me get this straight," Hailey said. "You hate superheroes because them doing good things and saving people messes with how you guys perceive or control time?"

She then asked, "Do you know how stupid you sound?"

"It's a matter of natural order." Tecteun aggressively slapped Hailey across her cheek.

Even Lytton was unnerved despite his cold exterior.

"These superheroes are constantly interfering with time as much as The Doctor." Tecteun continued. "The Avengers, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, the Justice League, the Teen Titans, the Mysticons, the New Warriors, Champions, Young Avengers, Thunderbolts, Outsiders, the Sailor Guardians, the Winx, Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the veil, the Autobots, the Power Rangers, the Runaways, all of them are a threat to Time Lord society and our way of controlling time. They interfere too much with our plans, we made sure one thing that was supposed to happen but then suddenly, as a result of their interference, they ruin our grand design. And even when something does commence as it should like some boy's uncle dies, he grows up to be a superhero anyway and they ruin everything by preventing tragedies we were supposed to allow happen! These heroes must be disposed of!"

"And not helping matters is the fact that I've seen ahead of our future. Tools of our own making, tools of war-even our own TARDISes after the apparent Time War have scattered throughout the universe and created superheroes entirely!" She finished with an enraged sneer.

"Lady, you're nuts." Hailey bluntly said.

"It's all just simply part to make all timelines in all universes are in order." Tecteun retorted.

"You're upset over superheroes doing what superheroes do." Hailey countered. "Why not just complain on social media if you hate superheroes so much?"

"A mouth on this one." Tecteun scowled. "But we can fix that."

"What do you mean 'Fix?'" an unnerved Hailey asked.

"You see," Tecteun replied. "If we wanted our Doctor and superhero problems solved, perhaps it's for the best we create a super soldier of our own to capture the former and assassinate the other."

"Uh, no." Hailey bluntly said as she figured out what Tecteun was implying. "No thank you. Adios. Just find somebody else."

Tecteun smirked.

"Now how can you say that when we have already had done so?"

"WHAT?!" Hailey screamed in horror.

Lytton took off the sheet that covered Hailey's body. Hailey noticed she wore an atypical hospital gown but she screamed in horror when she had seen her arms and legs.

Hailey screamed as she saw her arms and legs had what seemed like exposed metal bones with wires on her wrists and the metal on her arms acting as the bones. The same were done on the tops of her bare feet as the wires were exposed much like the ones on her wrists and metal on her legs that reached to her knees.

"What did you do to me?!" Hailey screamed both in terror and anger. "Are you crazy?!"

"Oh come of it," Tecteun scoffed in a cold manner. "You're going to have these covered with synthetic skin."

"The material used being of Cybermen technology and even the technology of the Protar." Lytton added. "Even parts of your brain have cybernetic implants."

"Are you serious?!" Hailey screamed incredulously.

"You are going to work for the Division under me after all." Tecteun said.

"Why even me?" Hailey asked. "Why me of all people to work for you people even if I said yes?"

"Because we needed a random nobody to assist in capturing the Doctor." Tecteun replied. "Especially for a project as this. We had to research for the most unsuspecting of people and you were practically number one."

"In your universe at least." She added under her breath quietly.

"What was that?" Hailey asked as she heard Tecteun muttering.

"We looked at your records and well," Tecteun trailed off. "Them and your rather unflattering photograph."

Lytton duly took out the very phone he saw Hailey's school photo and showed it to her. Hailey cringed and recoiled upon seeing the photo as she recognized how bad she looked that day. She remembered she had a couple of incidents that resulted in how she looked in the photo.

"You were so pathetic; you were just that perfect as a subject." Tecteun callously smirked. "Why not turn a human no one will miss into a superhuman of our own."

Hailey raised her eyebrow. The old woman was as human as she.

She remarked, "Uh, have you looked in a mirror?"

Tecteun laughed in response.

"Young lady, I'm a Time Lord!" She bragged. "We came before you!"

She then pointed to Lytton and said, "And he came from Rifton 5 of the planet Vita 15."

"You're aliens?!" Hailey exclaimed in shock.

"Rather reductive way to put it but yes." Tecteun replied simply.

"Look, either way, hard pass!" Hailey said.

"If you don't accept, my men will kill your family and your friend." Lytton spoke.

Hailey gasped in shock and horror.

"You wouldn't!"

"If you refuse," Lytton continued. "I will order my men to kill your family and your friend, this Scott you seem to have as a companion. Their deaths I will instruct to be staged like an accident had occurred as opposed to flat out murder."

"And in addition, if you cross me, there's a chip on the back of your neck that would shock you until you submit to my orders." Tecteun added.

"Now, do you accept?" The Time Lady finished.

Hailey was anxious in the worst possible way. She did not want to be involved in an apparent nefarious scheme but the threat of her family and Scott being murdered in cold blood, it was all too much to bear.

"I'll do it…" Hailey sighed, depressed and resigned to her fate.

"Then let's get started." Tecteun said with a small smile.

The very next day, Hailey's training began. Hailey's mood had not been at her best. Just sad and dismayed she had been forced against her will to work for people who had less than noble intentions. It became increasingly clear for her during each hour why this Doctor she had been told about, left The Division.

Hailey found herself in a black body suit with armor and shoulder pads and in a large arena that surrounded her. The arena was large enough given all kinds of TARDISes had unlimited space that it did not matter what could fit inside.

"Your first task for training." Tecteun spoke through an intercom as she and Lytton watched from a podium. "This will be the easy part. For one of the abilities I installed in your bionic implants on that fateful day are super strength."

Rising from a platform from below were eight metal bars stacked neatly as a pyramid.

"That's it?" Hailey said in confusion.

"Looks can be deceiving." Tecteun replied.

Hailey sighed irritably as she duly walked over to the metal bars. She stared at them with hesitation and nervousness. The bars looked heavy and remembered the threat Tecteun made to her family.

With using her two hands, she went for the metal bar on top. She expected it to be heavy to the point where like with mallet, she would drop it on her foot. Except, she found something weird instead. She did not struggle. She was not shaking. The metal bar was very lightweight. It was as if Hailey was holding a cupcake. The metal bar did not feel heavy for her for whatever reason. Even threw it to her other hand like a ball and no effect whatsoever. It felt soft to her somehow.

"How am I…?" Hailey trailed off.

"I told you, you have super strength." Tecteun replied. "Though this confirms you can lift weight up to 200 pounds considering the weight of the bars."

"Okay, well," Hailey said. "Not gonna lie, it's freaky but also super cool!"

"I'm glad you think so," Tecteun said as another set of items were raised on a platform from the bottom.

"Are you kidding me?!" Hailey groaned upon seeing what was before her.

She was shocked to see a stack of three camper trailers on top of each other.

"I found these in some backwards southern state." Tecteun explained. "Practically, they look all the same to me."

Hailey sighed. Once again in defeat.

And it never went easier. It had turned out according to Tecteun's study of strength, Hailey could only lift up to three hundred pounds.

The next test however, was a test of speed. Hailey found herself on a treadmill in another room as Tecteun studied and supervised her speed. It was relatively normal speed at first with running twenty-three miles per hour, a few numbers less than the normal speed of a human which was twenty-eight miles per hour.

Tecteun and Lytton supervised from a see-through window with monitors around them that displayed the numbers of how fast Hailey ran and other forms of data.

"Rather lacking in the speed department, isn't she?" Lytton remarked to his superior.

"That can be fixed," Tecteun said.

The Time Lady turned the dial on the control panel to the right.

Hailey began to feel the increasing speed as the treadmill much to her confusion.

"Uh, hello?" Hailey called out to Tecteun. "This thing is moving too fast. I don't think it's supposed to!"

"Oh, my dear," Tecteun spoke into the intercom with an amused tone in her voice. "It's supposed to. I made it go that fast on purpose."

"You what?!" Hailey screamed in shock.

Hailey had found almost slipping until by instinct, she kept on running and to her amazement, her speed increased dramatically as her feet kept up with the speed of the treadmill.

Hailey noticed how abnormally fast she was going as she looked down.

'I have super speed!' Hailey thought as she stared in amazement.

Inside the other room, Lytton and Tecteun noticed the increasing speed in miles per hour in one of the monitors as it went from twenty-three to twenty-eight to thirty-nine to one hundred and so on as the number continued to increase much to their amazement.

"That narrows down her speed, doesn't it?" Lytton sardonically remarked.

The next tests grew with increasing insanity. For the next one for Hailey was to demonstrate how strong her punching was with a version of an accelerometer with a punching bag attached.

Hailey gave one swing and hit the bag as hard as she could; enough to break its chain off.

"That fifth punch beat her previous records." Lytton remarked albeit impressed as he stared at the numbers on a pad.

"You'll be out of a job at this rate." Tecteun remarked quietly under her breath.

It was loud enough for Lytton to hear. As Tecteun watched Hailey, he glared at her. After everything after joining the Division and being paid handsomely, he did not like that she was ready to drop him. Even after they made a deal he'd be consistently paid as long as he stuck with the Division until the very end. As he stared at Hailey, he pondered whether to sabotage her at all or kill Tecteun instead.

Nevertheless, the training continued with Tecteun and Lytton's supervision for the next three months.

Much to Hailey's chagrin, more of the training seemed life threatening such as dodging lasers aimed to kill her and had to outmaneuver everything with her super speed. And even target practice with kinetic energy blasts.

She had even come across the Raston Warrior Robot which provided her with a challenge as a lot of times it would end in a stalemate. With Hailey dodging every sharp javelin-like projectile weapon thrown at her and the Raston Warrior Robot dodging every attempt by Hailey to hit it.

Until finally, Hailey thought of a plan. In one of the previous sessions, Tecteun had made mention of sonic hearing. All she had to do was listen closely.

Hailey had closed her eyes and listened for any sudden movements. As she did, there was one faint sound of movement of a mechanical arm moving.

'Gotcha!' She thought to herself and very quickly, from the palm of her, an energy blast erupted and shot off the Raston Warrior Robot's head off. It bounced off the floor with exposed circuits sparkling and its body falling over.

"Impressive." Tecteun said in a stoic manner. "Normally that machine is unstoppable."

"You have one more test, child." Tecteun then spoke into the intercom again.

"What, drop an anvil on me?" Hailey sardonically responded.

"Amusing." Tecteun said in a deadpan fashion.

Rising from the bottom of the platform was a cardboard cutout of a dark brown skinned woman with her hair in braids and wore dark blue clothing as her coat and pants as well as black boots.

"This is the Doctor you must retrieve and return to us." Tecteun explained. "This is a test of psychology."

Hailey was unnerved by such a test. It definitely proved that the whole series was tests was about indoctrination. All done in the hopes of getting her to comply. And yet, she knew it was either get shocked and see her parents and Scott murdered or do as Tecteun says.

Hailey turned her back with Tecteun frowning-feeling the disappointment and Lytton expressing a cold indifference.

Suddenly, Hailey did a roundhouse kick and knocked off the carboard Doctor's head.

Tecteun smiled in satisfaction. She was ready.

Three months later, the next day…

Earth-060322: Pakesley in Ontario, Canada:

At the abandoned sawmill in Lost Channel, Hailey stepped in front of it as she wore her original clothes since that incident-even complete with her glasses. She stepped around waiting for something to happen.

"Remember, the Doctor and her companions are around here." She recalled Tecteun's words before she was dropped off.

"Don't come back until your mission is completed." Tecteun gravely warned the girl. "Remember what happens if you don't obey orders."

"Lytton will supervise you from afar." She added. "Do not fail."

Tecteun closed the TARDIS doors and dematerialized.

Hailey saw Lytton on top of one of the abandoned shops as he made sure not to be seen.

Hailey sighed as she walked around the ghost town-waiting for the Doctor. She could not help but feel a bit creeped out by the empty, cold feeling of the abandoned area. No people. No activity. Just all around silence. Hailey found a shop to wait by until she would see The Doctor.

Lytton watched from afar with a scornful expression on his face. He was still unhappy with the earlier remark Tecteun had made. They had a deal. And Tecteun intended to replace him for the sake of someone she would not have to pay despite being an efficient mercenary.

Hailey sighed as she waited. That was until she instantly heard a sound; voices.

"What do you mean there are no actual ghosts in a ghost town?"

"It's just another name for deserted town, Jake."

Voices that were heard loudly as they approached her. Hailey did not react too much as she sat near a deserted shop. It was not a task she was looking forward to do.

"There didn't seem anything off." A British accented woman said, one whom Hailey recognized immediately based on her appearance was The Doctor.

She was accompanied by three other individuals, her companions such as a Chinese-American girl in a yellow jacket, pink blouse and jeans with rose tinted sunglasses, Jubilee. A man with short dark blonde hair and clothing in purple. And a young teenage boy with red hair in casual clothing like a shirt and jeans.

"Hey, there's someone here." The Chinese American girl, Jubilee, said as she spotted Hailey.

"You alright, kid?" Hawkeye asked the lonely girl.

Hailey stared at the quartet with a remorseful expression on her face. Something The Doctor immediately took notice of as she stared at the girl with concern on her face.

"I'm sorry." Hailey apologized as she stood up.

"Sorry about what-?"

Jake was cut off as Hailey hit him square in the chest with her super strength with a single punch. Jake was flown back a few feet as he slid across the ground. As he stopped, he groaned as he clutched his chest.

The Doctor, Hawkeye and Jubilee stared on in shock at the petite teenage girl who threw a large punch.

"You just made a big mistake, kid!" Hawkeye shouted as he started to aim with one of his bow and arrows.

As he fired an arrow, Hailey grabbed it in mid-firing and snapped it in half with her right hand. Hawkeye fired another but promptly tilted her head to the right and hit near the window instead.

The archer was shocked to discover immediately that Hailey sped quickly toward him and engaged him in hand-to-hand combat-beating him with ease.

"I got her!" Jubilee went in to use her mutant abilities being the equivalent of fireworks i.e. pyrotechnic energy plasmoids, to blind her but Hailey switched from human eyes to bionic ones to avoid being blinded by the blasts. Jubilee then went on the hand-to-hand combat offense with both her and Hailey blocking each other's punches but even Jubilee fell into being beaten as one punch across her face was enough to knock her down.

But Hailey watched her strength to be careful enough not to injure the trio.

The Doctor stared on in shock and soon found herself face to face with Hailey with again, the same remorseful expression on her face.

The Doctor was suspicious as to why she had that look on her face despite fighting everyone else.

"Who are you?" The Doctor asked Hailey after one intense moment of silence.

"Are you working for the Division?" The Doctor inquired further. "Are they forcing you to do this?"

In response, Hailey lunged at the Time Lord, or rather Time Lady, as the two found themselves evenly matched as they blocked each other's punches. Even the Doctor had to restrain Hailey and placing her hand behind her back as if she were arresting her.

"You need to answer me, love." The Doctor said. "Or I can't help you."

Lytton watched on with curiosity as he surveyed the fight. Despite his wariness of Hailey, he was intrigued by the fight before him.

"Did Tecteun send you?" The Doctor asked further. "Did she do something to you?"

Suddenly, Hailey slipped out of The Doctor's grip and grabbed her by the lapels of her jacket and ran off with her in super speed and ran straight towards an abandoned bar.

In an instant, she sat The Doctor on a chair much to her confusion. Not helped by Hailey for seemingly no reason, throwing and breaking chairs and breaking apart tables with a single karate chop.

"Can you explain to me what exactly are you doing?" The Doctor asked.

"Yeah, it's called pretending I'm fighting you!" Hailey replied.

"I need your help!" Hailey said. as she broke another chair by throwing it up the ceiling.

"You really know who Tecteun is?" Hailey asked as she approached the Time Lord.

The Doctor stared at her with a look that said, "I knew it was her."

"How'd you guess?" The Doctor sardonically asked.

Lytton continued to surveyed the fight as Jubilee, Hawkeye and Jake Wildfire entered the abandoned bar.

'What is she up to?' Lytton asked himself out of curiosity.

Lytton winced upon hearing the ruckus which consisted of breaking items like chairs, tables and even discarded bottles or even the sounds of her kinetic blasts.

There even sounds of people struggling and screaming to which Lytton assumed Hailey was fighting furiously against her enemies.

Finally, after a moment of silence; the bar exploded. The foundation and exterior were still intact but the doors were blasted open and the windows shattered.

Lytton stared in surprise and shock at what had just transpired. He climbed the building he was perched on top of via ladder and raced over to the abandoned bar to see what had happened.

He placed on a respirator before he went inside in order to breathe through the smoke. The interiors were demolished as traces of fire and smoke were seen. Lytton could only deduce some alcohol bottles were still full and were used to trigger the place into one big grenade.

Then something caught his attention; on the floor was a single white slip-on shoe and discarded metal parts scattered across.

Lytton's eyebrow raised in skepticism.

'Very curious indeed.' He remarked in his mind.

He picked up the shoe and upon turning it over, ashes poured out from inside. He dropped the shoe and exhaled.

"I see…" Lytton was unconvinced.

Lytton immediately saw through the charade but smirked to himself. Hailey clearly wanted to leave and it was either she went or he would have killed her himself when she least expected it. Lytton hated the idea of Tecteun cheating him out of his money given their original agreement if he joined, he would be paid well.

The mercenary once again pulled out the communication pad from his pocket and activated it and saw Tecteun as a hologram.

"I couldn't contact her." Tecteun said to the mercenary. "What happened?"

"She's dead." Lytton replied in a blunt manner.

"What?!" Tecteun snapped. "Impossible!"

"As you can see, the abandoned establishment the fight took place has been entirely decimated." Lytton said. "Frankly this is all that is left Ms. Banks."

He held the discarded shoe as proof.

Tecteun growled in annoyance.

"Worthless girl." Tecteun snarled with a sneer. "Never let a child do a grown up's job evidently."

Lytton rolled his eyes upon hearing the irony.

"Seems it's safe to call this concept a failure." Tecteun remarked bitterly.

"We'll be in touch then." Lytton said as he turned off the communication.

As he walked out of the abandoned bar, he spotted two familiar men walking up to him. It was own men, the one dressed as policemen and then later the firemen from three months ago, now back in their police uniforms.

One of them handed Lytton a folder which he accepted and looked through the contents with his eyebrow raised. But not of skepticism, but of interest.

Suddenly, he heard the sound of a TARDIS. Appearing a few feet in front of him was the same TARDIS disguised as a pipe organ, one that he recognized being of Tecteun's.

"Report anything else to me if you find more." Lytton order his men.

To which they nodded. And with that, Lytton walked toward the TARDIS and entered. As Tecteun's TARDIS materialized, the two men walked away.

After a moment of silence, five individuals from a nearby building looked around if anyone had finally left. To the relief of the Doctor, her companions and Hailey, the coast was clear and once again, it was a ghost town.

"Wow, I can't believe that worked!" Hawkeye exclaimed in amazement.

"Not bad for simple improv." Jubilee concurred.

Earlier before the explosion, Hailey had hastily explained to The Doctor what had happened to her and who had done it as well as the chip installed in the back of her neck and being shocked into submission if she were to disobey. From the intended injuries planned by Tecteun and Lytton to the surgery to why she attacked her and her companions; the latter being a ruse to mislead both Tecteun and Lytton into thinking she was obeying their orders. She planned to make it look like she complied.

Jubilee, Hawkeye and Jake Wildfire had entered the abandoned bar ready to fight but The Doctor had to assure them Hailey was only pretending to comply with Tecteun's orders. So quickly, they devised a plan to fool Lytton and Tecteun by first, create much of a ruckus to keep the illusion there was a fight. Then, to find some metal scraps to imply her bionic implants were destroyed and Hailey even tossing in one of her shoes for good measure and third, set off an explosion.

Which was done after everyone had left the abandoned through the backdoor and Hailey used her kinetic energy blasts to destroy whatever alcohol bottles were stilled filled and set off the explosion with Hailey using her superspeed to outrun it and join the others.

Hailey was amazed the deception worked.

"Alright, time get back to the TARDIS." The Doctor said to her companions.

"It's not gonna be a pipe organ, will it?" Hailey asked after she had run back to retrieve her discarded shoe before returning.

The Doctor raised her eyebrow in confusion over the remark.

Later, as The Doctor and her companions traveled through space and time in the TARDIS, the Time Lord had performed surgery on Hailey's neck. The Doctor wore a surgical mask and rubber gloves with Jubilee and Hawkeye carrying trays of surgical tools, also wearing surgical masks and rubber gloves, with Jake Wildfire looking on as Hailey sat still on a chair.

Hailey sat still best she could as she could feel the chip being removed from her neck which stung much to the discomfort of Hailey herself as she gritted teeth and squeezed the arm rests of the chair.

Finally, with a soft pull, The Doctor removed the intruding chip from the teen girl's neck.

"There we go!" The Doctor exclaimed in relief as she placed the chip via pliers on the tray Jubilee held and used rubbing alcohol with a cotton ball to heal Hailey's neck.

"Wasn't easy but it's out." The Doctor said.

Hailey sighed in relief.

"Thanks, Doc." Hailey said to the Time Lord with gratitude.

"I'm sorry what Tecteun had done to you." The Doctor said to Hailey with sympathy.

"You're not the one who should apologize." Hailey assured the Time Lord.

"And I'm sorry about, well…" Hailey addressed The Doctor's companions with her own apology whilst scratching her head in embarrassment.

"It's cool." Jubilee replied in understanding. "Need to keep up the act and all."

"Yeah, not gonna lie." Hawkeye said. "You did have us going there."

"Can you not punch me so hard though?" Jake moaned a bit as he still felt sore from the hit on his stomach.

Hailey nervously and awkwardly laughed, still feeling a bit guilty for her first act.

Earth-231163: Tecteun's TARDIS

"Never work with children." Tecteun muttered to herself, bitter about the recent events with Hailey.

"There may be something for you to worry about." Lytton said as he approached Tecteun.

The Time Lady turned around to see her enforcer/mercenary with the folder in hand.

"What is that supposed to be?" Asked Tecteun.

"You find out." Lytton duly said as he passed on the folder to his superior. "My men have reported this to me. Curious findings on Earth-060322."

"These were taken around Oceanside, California in different parts of the town." He added.

She stared at Lytton and at the folder with skepticism. Tecteun opened it and she stared at three different photos. The first photo, taken in Oceanside, had a woman, Caucasian skin, who appeared to be in her forties, with brown hair in a blue blazer, black shirt with a red tie, black unlaced combat boots along with a bowler hat with a blue feather on it. She was accompanied by a brown skinned girl also with brown hair in a blue domino mask, a blue burkini with a red bodysuit underneath and a lightning bolt on the burkini itself, blue boots and a red scarf and an anthropomorphic red echidna with white gloves and green shoes; all three walking around as they stepped out of a blue Public Call Police Box.

The other, a young girl, who appeared to look like she was in her twenties, also of Caucasian skin, had blonde hair done in a perm with pink streaks on her bangs, a black vest with pink roses, a sleeveless jean jacket with multicolored beads around her neck, fingerless black leather gloves, a pink bow around her waist and a pink tutu, light brown tanned pants and fashionable blue sneakers. And accompanying her were a young man with brown hair, light blue sweater with a blue shirt underneath, black pants and brown shoes. And the other, a woman with long blonde hair and wore a vibrant red dress with some black outlines here and there and brown boots. All three stepped out of the very same blue box.

Finally, the third photo had a thin man in a brown overcoat, brown pants and shoes with a large rim hat and had a mullet hairstyle and round spectacles. Among him were one of his companions being a woman with brown skin, black braided hair with three blue feathers with white tips behind it, with light blue, dark blue and white paint markings on her cheeks and forehead, her fingertips being blue, a white and blue outfit with the designs and patterns of her people, the Mohawk tribe. And a woman with a tanned complexion and dark hair and wore a yellow t-shirt with a blue jacket, pale green jeans and brown boots. Complete with a gunslinger belt that had a futuristic looking gun and a dagger.

All three stepped out of once again, a very familiar looking blue box.

Tecteun stared at the photos in shock. Her hands shook with rage as she had almost crumbled them.

"I've never seen these incarnations before." Tecteun said to Lytton before asking him, "What are they? Since when?"

"That's what I wanted to discuss with you." Lytton replied. "Based on conversations my men have managed to overhear each of their conversations as they discussed past experiences, they are not the Doctors of our universe."

"What?!" Tecteun shouted.

"I'm afraid it's the truth." Lytton continued. "Considering the barriers of the multiverse are broken, the alternate Doctors have seemed to found their way through."

Tecteun contemplated what she had just heard. Then, her eyes narrowed to one of vengeance, slowly and surely.

Tecteun sighed, "Then it seems we have a crisis to deal with."

"Indeed." Lytton nodded.

"Very well." Tecteun conceded. "I'll double your pay if you gather a squad across the multiverse to recruit into the Division."

Lytton grinned, he figured she would cave in to keeping him and paying him double.

"As you wish." Lytton said as he walked off.

Back inside the Doctor's TARDIS, Hailey conversed with The Doctor as she wore her glasses.

"Do you think you can take me back to where the whole thing started?" Hailey asked the Time Lord.

"I'm sorry?" The Doctor inquired.

"Like, this is a time machine, right?" Hailey continued as she was fully aware thanks to her experience with Tecteun, she was aware of what a TARDIS does. "Can you get me to prevent this whole thing from ever happening?"

The Doctor looked down for a moment, avoiding eye contact briefly as she had a remorseful look on her face much to the shock of her companions.

"I'm sorry but that might be impossible." The Doctor said with regret in her tone of voice.

"What? Why?" Hailey demanded, shocked to hear what she was told by the Time Lord.

"The problem is, not only is it now a fixed point in time," The Doctor began to explain. "But Tecteun is bound to notice any timeline changes and she's bound to use that to look for me."

"I'm really sorry, love." The Doctor apologized-lamenting she could not help Hailey.

The companions understood but nevertheless were shocked to hear what the Doctor had just said. Hailey appeared to have started to cry. The Doctor stared at her with sadness in her own eyes.

The Doctor then began to fiddle with the controls.

"What are you doing, Doc?" Jubilee asked the Time Lord.

"Yeah, what are you doing?" Hailey concurred with Jubilee.

"I can't prevent the accident." The Doctor said. "I can however take you the moment after you were kidnapped."

"No one will ever know you were missing or Tecteun suspecting anything." She then added.

With her superspeed, Hailey rushed over to give the Time Lord a hug of gratitude.

"Thank you!" Hailey shouted as she hugged The Doctor to the point of near tears. "Thank you!"

The Doctor while shocked, returned the hug as well.

Moments later as The Doctor commenced in sending Hailey back to her intended time, The Doctor could still tell Hailey had something on her mind.

"I'd like to have a few minutes alone with Ms. Banks please." The Doctor addressed to her companions.

"You got it." Jubilee nodded.

"We'll be elsewhere." Hawkeye nodded as well, as they and Jake left the TARDIS console room.

The Doctor and Hailey were now alone in the console room as she approached the young girl.

"You want to talk about it?" The Doctor asked Hailey.

"I don't know." Hailey replied. "I just can't get past what happened to me. Tecteun basically ruined my normal life."

She continued on as The Doctor listened, "The staged accident, the kidnapping, the surgery, training me to essentially kidnap you, it's too much and I can't even reverse this."

Hailey stared at her arms, her bionic arms with disdain. With the synthetic skin as Tecteun promised.

"I don't think I'll ever be the same again." Hailey said as her head hanged low.

"True." The Doctor concurred. "And I'm sorry she did all this to you."

She continued on, "She should never have done what she did. And you shouldn't have to pay for it. But there are ways to make something out of this and it's up to you how you want to proceed. I do think you can do a lot of good with your newfound abilities. But I'm leaving all this up to you and only you. You get to choose your own destiny, not Tecteun and not me. Do what you think feels right for you."

There was a moment of silence throughout the TARDIS console room. Hailey did not have an immediate response. Just thought. Just thinking.

"Thanks, Doc." Hailey thanked the Time Lord with a soft smile, to which the Doctor returned with one of her own. Even if she did not like being called "Doc."

Earth-060322: Oceanside, California (Three months ago)

"Hailey!" Scott cried out as he saw her friend taken to the pipe organ and disappeared.

He passed out again and more debris started to fall. But he was pulled at the last minute.

Scott groggily looked up to see Hailey, covered in soot but lacking the scars.

"Hailey, what happened?" Scott began to ask weakly as he coughed.

"I'll explain later!" Hailey quickly replied.

She looked up to see the Doctor and her companions in their TARDIS. Hailey nodded as a way as saying "Thank you" to which the Doctor and her companions returned the nod before they closed the doors and departed to parts unknown as the TARDIS dematerialized.

Hailey and Scott managed to get out of the burning ride much to everyone's relief, including her parents as they rushed over to hug her in relief. Hailey returned the hug as they had a tear-filled reunion. Even more personal for Hailey given she had not seen them in months.

Later, Hailey and Scott were sitting outside an ambulance with towels around them and appearing cleaned up as they held cups of water. A doctor had earlier examined Hailey's heart and to her relief, it was a normal heartbeat. She was thankful that was not replaced during the surgery.

"So, what happened back there?" Scott asked his friend.

"I'm not sure I'm ready to talk about that yet." Hailey replied with uncertainty. "I'm just a bit…shaken up."

"Hey, it's cool." Scott said with assurance. "You can still tell me later if you feel like it."

Hailey gave a warm smile and hugged him in response. Scott returned the hug, unaware of how much she had missed him during the intervening months.

Later that night, Hailey had flopped onto her bed and stared at the ceiling for an hour-deep in her own thoughts. She processed what had happened over the past few months and the Doctor's speech. And the fact she was able to return to her parents, moments after the accident. She wondered what the timeline was like when she was gone. Undoubtedly her parents would have gone searching for her, even putting up "Missing" posters and Scott would have been crushed under the rubble and she would not have been able to save him.

That was the moment. Her eyes widened in realization. What if Hailey had not agreed to travel to the day mere moments after the accident? Scott would not had been saved. And yet, she still saved him regardless of when she returned.

Hailey bolted up. She then walked over to the mirror in her closet.

Hailey was still herself. She looked at her arms. Hailey rolled up her sleeves to see her bare arms which she had to admit, the synthetic skin to cover up the bionic implants actually worked. She looked at least normal.

Then she looked at herself face to face with her reflection. Hailey then took off her glasses and, on a whim, began to switch visions. Her normal vision, which was blurry without the glasses and her bionic vision. Nanites that were on her irises that can be turned on and off mentally. She switched back and forth constantly between the two eye visions.

Finally, she settled on her normal blurry vision as she placed her glasses back on.

Hailey then looked at her stack of Hero Force comics and picked up the first issue and examined it. The cover had Futurisma flying whilst holding a burglar underneath her shoulder.

Hailey's mouth slowly formed into a smile.

Her train of thought was interrupted by an old woman crying for help.

Hailey looked out the window to hear, "Help! Someone stole my marble rye!"

A male voice replied, "Shut up, you old bag!"

With her superspeed, she quickly put on a make shift disguise which was really a bandana to cover her mouth and one to cover her hair and quickly texted on her phone.

Scott, there's something I got to tell you. Be back later…

With that, as she opened the window, she spotted the thief running with the marble rye and Hailey leapt into action to tackle the thief.

One month later…

One night, outside of a warehouse as behind a truck, a group of heroes gathered behind the vehicle for cover.

One girl, a dark brown skinned girl in a metallic eye mask with her costume in aqua and light purple colors peered through-carefully avoiding to be seen.

"That must be where the League of Villains are holding Black Scorpion." Said the girl, known as Starling.

"We got to get in now!" Said another girl, younger by age thirteen, with pink hair with a sleeveless purple outfit complete with a luchador mask and silver gloves and purple boots, by the name of Ultra Violet.

"Wait, I know you're concerned about your partner but we need to strategize first." Starling said to her teammate.

"Not to mention, we're still waiting for other teammate." Anne Boonchuy, the superhero known as Insect Girl, said through her metallic suit.

"Speaking of," Said a light brown skinned girl with a red cloak and the Eye of Agamotto over her usual clothes of a blue and white hoodie with cat ears, short jeans over dark pants and white shoes, known as Luz Nocenda, the Sorceress Supreme in Training.

"Where is she?"

As if it were right on cue, a figure ran toward the group and stopped after running at superspeed.

"Sorry I'm late!" Said a girl in gray and metallic suit with a helmet that covered her face except for her eyes, mouth and her familiar ponytail.

"With that speed, I'd say you got in just in time." Said Insect Girl.

"Still gotta work on the costume but I think I'm gonna call myself Bionic Girl." Hailey, known as Bionic Girl, said.

"I'd say the name works." Luz nodded in approval.

"Important thing is, we're all here." Said Starling. "And we have a rescue mission to accomplish."

"And kick some sorry villain butt!" Ultra Violet said as she pounded her fist.

"And we're the best!" Insect Girl concurred as put forward her hand. "Girls against the world!"

The other girl superheroes had done the same and nodded and threw their hands up.

"Let's do this!" Starling cried out.

The superhero girls nodded and commenced their plan as they quietly rushed out of their hiding place and went into action.

With that, the painting returned to its normal state of Hailey Banks running at super speed.

Zarya whistled in amazement.

"Got to admit, she's pretty cool too." Zarya said, impressed with what she had witnessed.

"Hailey is so awesome!" Cried Piper in excitement. "Superspeed, super strength, I think those were pixie blasts like mine but are the exploding kind? But she's so awesome! So cool!"

"I'm more uncomfortable with the fact that there's a crazed Time Lord who knows who we are and wants to kill us." Em said with an uncomfortable tone in her voice.

"Yeah, like, what did we ever do to this Tecteun lady?" Arkayna asked. "We never even met her."

"Some people don't need a reason to hate someone." Replied The Beyonder with a shrug. "Prejudicial feelings never make sense in the grand scheme of things and yet, always a constant in the greater multiverse."

"The impression I'm getting is that all Time Lords like Tecteun are blowholes except for The Doctor." Zarya remarked with her arms crossed.

"Well, not every Time Lord is irredeemable." The Beyonder said. "Romana was a Time Lord who was a companion of the Doctor and much kinder."

"Exceptions, not the rule." Zarya pointed out.

"Point taken." Said The Beyonder. "But speaking of, Hailey did meet the Doctor again."

"Just as a different incarnation." He then added.

The painting changed again to reveal Hailey in her room, casually reading the latest issue of Hero Force. Until she sat-alarmed, as she heard a peculiar sound but to her relief, it was a familiar blue box.

"Doc?" She inquired out of curiosity.

As the blue box materialized, the door opened to reveal a dark brown skinned man with a bald head with a brown jacket, orange shirt, brown pants and white shoes with red highlights. Hailey was surprised and suspicious of this apparent new person.

"Hmm, I don't think I this was supposed to be New Mexico." The man remarked.

"You're not The Doctor…" Hailey remarked as she pointed at him.

"Have we met?" The man asked curiously.

"I know the blue box when I see it!" Hailey said before she asked "And where are the other three people?"

He realized what was going on and which incarnation she possibly met.

"Ohhhh!" He exclaimed in realization. "You likely met an incarnation before me!"

"Unfortunately, that incarnation had her memory erased by the Time Lords." He added.

"Let me guess," Hailey crossed her arms with a dour expression on her face. "Tecteun?"

"Probably." The Doctor replied.

"Sorry." Hailey apologized.

"But, um, I never did get a tour of Oceanside." The Doctor said.

"Well, I've never actually gotten the chance to time travel with you." Hailey said before asking, "Mind if I tag along for a while? Plus, you owe me an explanation why you changed."

The Doctor smiled with excitement.

"Why not?" The Doctor exclaimed. "A trip or two through time and space couldn't hurt!"

"Plus, perhaps I do owe you what has happened to me since." He then added.

Not wanting to be told twice, Hailey rushed into the TARDIS with her superspeed much to the surprise of the Time Lord.

"I might have forgotten she could do that!" The Doctor remarked to himself in disbelief.

As he stepped back inside the TARDIS and closed the doors, the TARDIS dematerialized and the painting changed back to its original state once again.

"But that adventure is for another story." The Beyonder said.

"I mean, at least The Doctor seems friendly." Said Arkayna.

"Quite." The Beyonder said as he once again lounged in mid air with his hands behind his head.

"Now, if you follow me to the next piece…" He then said as he floated away as if he swimming in a backstroke.

The Mysticons followed on as they looked around the art gallery. Still amazed and intrigued by the various paintings of superheroes and villains alike. Or just plain weird scenarios.

Zarya in particular stopped to stare at a marble statue of a muscular adult woman with long hair and a suit with the Union Jack flag on it the chest of the outfit.

She recognized it was Peggy Carter but not as the Wolverine this time. But she recalled The Beyonder mentioning a Captain Carter and realized this was who he was talking about.

The Mysticon ranger admired the piece as she cupped her forefinger and thumb around her chin. She then read what was on the display plaque:

Captain Carter

Guardian of the Multiverse and the Most Constant of Variants

"What's her story?" Zarya asked aloud with a lot of interest in her tone.

'And how'd she get those hot muscles?' She thought to herself as she smiled.

"What'cha doin', Z-star?" Piper chimed in, seemingly out of nowhere.

Zarya cried out-startled by her friend interrupting her train of thought.

"Pipes, don't do that!" Zarya exclaimed.

Piper grinned playfully as she read her friend's face.

"What are you doing?" Zarya asked nervously.

"You're crushing on Captain Carter, aren't ya?" Piper smiled in a very cheeky manner.

Zarya blushed furiously in embarrassment.

"No, I'm not!" Zarya protested. "Kitty Boon's my girlfriend, remember?"

"Oh relax!" Piper assured her friend. "I know Kitty's your girlfriend, but you don't want to make her jealous."

"She'd understand!" Zarya insisted.

While Zarya and Piper were having their conversation, Arkayna eyed on a marble statue another superhero; a woman with shoulder length hair, a star on her chest on a suit with gloves and boots, she could not tell what the colors were due to the fact it was all marble but she could see the statue depicted her flying, like ascending as if she were a goddess for justice and righteousness.

Arkayna read the display plaque:

Carol Danvers, Captain Marvel

The Strongest Avenger

Arkayna was enthralled by the presentation and felt a curiosity growing within her-wanting to know more about the "Strongest Avenger."

Suddenly, her eyes trailed off and witnessed a peculiar painting.

"WHAT?!" Arkayna screamed in anger.

"Oh my Goblin!" Zarya and Piper heard Arkayna exclaim in outrage.

The two rushed over to see what was it that upset Arkayna and stopped. Only to burst out laughing to see what the Dragon Mage Mysticon was upset about.

Arkayna seethed through her teeth upon a seeing a painting of herself. But it was not just any painting of her. It was Arkayna in a black leather jacket with a shaved head, black sunglasses, green shirt, green boots with black tips and jeans as she lounged behind a wall with Piper, like it was something straight out of the music video for Cory Hart's Sunglasses at Night.

Arkayna read the display plaque, which read:

Arkayna Moonwolf,

Mysticon Ranger, Former Street Thief in an Alternate Gemina

Zarya and Piper immediately cracked up. Laughing hard to the point of tears, Zarya in particular was having the time of her life as she laughed upon seeing the sight of Arkayna not only in that particular getup, but the mere fact she grew up as a street thief.

"Oh my Goblin, indeed!" Zarya laughed as she held her sides due to how much she was laughing.

"Stop laughing!" Cried an annoyed Arkayna.

"It's just too rich!" Zarya exclaimed as she continued to laugh to the point of almost falling over.

Arkayna rolled her eyes but something caught her attention as next to the painting of her as a street thief, she stifled a laugh immediately. She then grinned evilly as her eyes narrowed to Zarya.

"Oh, I wouldn't be laughing for too long, Princess." Arkayna smirked in a smug fashion as she crossed her arms.

Immediately, Zarya stopped laughing and turned to see what her teammate was staring at.

To her horror, it was Zarya herself. Except with longer hair, a tiara and a pink frilly dress that looked like it was designed by someone who only vaguely remembered what Aurora from Sleeping Beauty's dress looked like and looked more like a Disney Princess knock off by one of those Goodtimes VHS tapes from the nineties.

"What the?!" Zarya cried out. "Hey!"

Not helping her mood was what was on the display plaque. Which read,

Zarya Goodfey

Princess and Mysticon Dragon Mage of Alternate Gemina

"Okay, I only wore that stupid tiara one time just for mom!" Zarya said. "But dresses are where I draw the line! No way!"

"I don't know, I think it suits you." Arkayna taunted her twin sister with a smirk on her face.

"Why don't you shave your head and then we'll talk?!" Zarya retorted angrily.

Arkayna and Zarya growled at each other as the two literally butted heads against each other.

"She looks so cool!"

The two stopped being angry at each other upon hearing Piper's voice. They glanced to see Piper staring at a marble statue of a woman with long hair, bracelets on her arms, a one piece suit with stars and boots and a tiara on her forehead. But what stood out the most was her leaping into action and she wielded a lasso.

"Wonder who she is." Asked Em who stood by Piper, also admiring the marble statue.

Arkayna and Zarya were also impressed upon staring at the statue. All four Mysticons then read the plaque on the display stand, which said,

Wonder Woman

Diana, Princess of Themyscira

The Goddess of Truth

"She's a princess and a goddess?" Asked Arkayna.

"Hopefully not stuck up." Said Zarya.

"What's even Themyscira?" Asked Em.

"I love her hair!" Piper chimed in.

"Take a look at that one." Zarya pointed to a painting besides the marble statue of Wonder Woman.

As the Mysticons walked toward the painting, they stared at what was a young woman with blonde hair in a almost dark blue suit with a red skirt and an S on the chest with a matching red cape and red boots. The painting in question involved her flying in the sky with her arms outreached as she smiled and filled with confidence as she flew through a city in the morning.

The plaque on the display case read,

Kara Zor-El, Kara Danvers, Supergirl

Of

Earth-38

"Hope…that when faced with an enemy determined to destroy your spirit, you will fight back and thrive."

"What does the S stand for anyway?" Asked Arkayna.

"Kind of obvious." Zarya replied as she pointed to the name Supergirl on the display plaque.

"Is she related to that guy in one of the paintings we saw earlier?" Em asked as she recalled one of the heroes upon first coming to the Multiversal Night Gallery. "Just saying, the costume has a resemblance."

Piper in particular leaned forward reading the quote as she repeated it over and over in her head. There was something about it that she felt she could hang onto and maybe as a way to conquer her fears over the multiversal threats she had been informed about by the Beyonder.

"Those are encouraging words." Em said as she noticed Piper reading the quote on the display plaque.

"Oh totally!" Piper nodded. "I hope we get a story with her!"

"'The Moriarity Syndicate'" Zarya read the display plaque on another painting aloud.

The other Mysticons joined their teammate as she and now the rest of them stared at a painting of a collection of men that Zarya could only describe as fancy clothing given based on the fashion of each man, either looking like they came from the Victorian period or something modern day. They all posed appearing stoic and menacing. Save for one, a Caucasian British male in a dark blue suit whose creepy, sadistic smile stood out from the others.

The display plaque read as well,

The Moriarity Syndicate

Multiversal Syndicate of Crime

"These guys don't look so tough." Zarya remarked as she scoffed. "We can take 'em."

"I don't know, I rather we not go in underestimating bad guys we don't even know too much about." Arkayna disagreed with her sister.

"I wonder if they ever smile." Piper remarked randomly. "They look so serious."

"Well, except that last guy." Piper added before shuddering. "He has a very, creepy smile."

"Can they even do that?" Em asked. "Make a crime syndicate out of nowhere and do whatever they wanted?"

"Wait, how are they gonna travel through the multiverse?" She quickly added.

"If Tecteun could, maybe these guys can." Zarya shrugged. "Not like we're gonna meet them."

"Oh! Another Doctor variant!" The Mysticons heard Piper cry out.

The other Mysticons walked over to see an eager Piper pointing at another painting. Or rather a portrait. It was of an older man with white hair, gray mustache, spectacles on his eyes, a brown jacket and a light vest with a blue tie underneath, brown pants and shoes to boot. He appeared distinguished yet gave the vibe of being an eccentric.

His display plaque read,

Dr. Who

The First of The Doctor Variants

"Who names their kid literally Who?" Zarya remarked in disbelief over the man literally called Dr. Who.

"Is it literally who or just his last name?" Asked Em with a shrug.

"I'm just curious how many Doctor variants are there given what Tecteun saw." Arkayna remarked in curiosity.

"He looks cute." Said Piper, to which the other Mysticons stared at her incredulously.

"What?" Piper said. "I like the mustache."

Then Em spotted another painting from a few feet away from them.

"Uh, guys?" Em called out to the other Mysticons. "Is that us too?"

Arkayna, Zarya and Piper rushed over with Em to see another painting that to their shock was them but radically different. For while they had the same weapons and similar forms as themselves, they were all dressed in similar outfits consisting of a mask with large white eyes and patterns on the mask and costumes similar to that of a spider web except with different colors; green, blue, yellow and purple respectively. Most had their hair sticking out of the back of their masks save for the one in blue, whose mask completely covered her head. And they easily recognized each other given the colors and weapons in their Mysticon forms.

"By the Hammer of Harmon, it is us!" Em exclaimed in amazement after she rubbed her eyes.

"Like it?"

The Mysticons yelled in surprise-startled by the Beyonder sneaking up on them.

"Don't do that!" Arkayna exclaimed in anger.

"These are the Spider-Mysticons." The Beyonder explained as he ignored Arkayna's anger.

"Spider-Mysticons?" The Mysticon asked in unison and confusion.

The Beyonder nodded, "Just as it says on the display plaque!"

He demonstrated as he presented the display plaque by lifting it for the Mysticons to see in closeup.

"See?"

The display plaque read as,

Spider-Mysticons

Protectors of New Drake City and all of another alternate Gemina

Bestowed upon by the Spider-Codex

"Okay, not gonna lie, we look awesome!" Zarya said, impressed as she grinned upon admiring how her Spider self had looked.

"Oh! Do we shoot webs?" Piper asked in her usual hyperactive way. "How do we shoot webs?"

"Does my sword shoot webs too?" Asked Em.

"Huh." Arkayna could only say as she was amazed at the existence of Spider-Mysticons. "I'm really at a loss for words."

"The Spider-Codex?" Arkayna then asked as she read the display plaque.

"Long story but suffice to say, they've been inducted into the Spider-Society recently." The Beyonder replied.

"How do you know that?" Zarya asked.

"Haven't you been paying attention?" The Beyonder said, annoyed Zarya even had to ask. "I'm the Beyonder! I'm not just all powerful…"

"I'm also all knowing!" He finished with an echo and in a sinister fashion whilst grinning as he shoved his face with the Mysticons who appeared uncomfortable when he had done so. But were also uncomfortable he was all knowing.

"Uh…that's creepy, you know that?" Em stammered in fear.

"You call creepy, I call it part of the job description." The Beyonder retorted whilst chuckling.

"A creepy job description." Zarya countered with Arkayna and Piper agreeing as they nodded and crossed their arms.

Suddenly, they noticed Em was missing immediately.

"Hey, where'd Em go?" Zarya asked as she and other Mysticons looked around.

"Oh! Found her!" Piper exclaimed as she pointed to Em staring at another painting.

The remaining Mysticons walked over to her and to their confusion, Em was staring at a painting with her jaw dropped and drooling.

"Yo, Em!" Zarya waved her hand in front of Em's face to get her attention but to not avail.

"What's up with her?" Zarya then asked.

Arkayna glanced at the painting Em stared at and her eyes widened in realization as to why she had that expression.

"Oh my!" Arkayna gasped as she closed her mouth in surprise.

"What?" Piper asked before she took a glance herself before she cried out in realization. "Oh!"

Zarya could not help but stifle a giggle however.

As it turned out, Em had been staring at a painting of a Chinese man with no shirt, wearing only his black pants in a caged arena with cheering spectators rooting for a fight to commence. The man looked determined and ready to fight as he prepared to go into a fighting stance.

The display plaque read,

Xu Shang-Chi

Of Earth-200000

"You are a product of all who came before you. The legacy of your family, the good and the bad, it is all a part of who you are." – Ying Nan

But Em was not reading the display plaque. It immediately became apparent to the three Mysticons that the Mysticon Knight was staring at the shirtless man, Shang-Chi, before her. Clearly crushing on him immediately as her mouth hung open and was drooling all over the floor.

"New crush, huh?" Zarya remarked.

Em jumped as she made of a noise of being startled.

"You know Kasey is your boyfriend, right?" Zarya playfully smirked.

"He'd understand!" Em protested as she furiously blushed.

"Where's that music coming from?" Asked Piper as she heard something. A sound that had a soft and slow but electronic beat to it.

"I hear it too." Arkayna said.

"Ditto." Said Zarya.

"Yeah, what is that music?" Asked Em.

The words they heard that went along with the soft beat, "My love… take my breath away…"

The Mysticons turned around to see Beyonder with a boombox that played the song "Take My Breath Away" by Berlin.

"What?" The Beyonder protested. "I thought it'd fit the mood!"

"Dude. Seriously?" Zarya said in a deadpan manner.

"Look, let's just get on with the third story, please?" Arkayna asked the Beyonder.

"Oh don't worry," Replied The Beyonder. "We're here!"

The Beyonder with a gesture of his hands presented a new painting with the wave of his arms and a snap of his fingers. It was this time, the painting was of an overweight Caucasian man with short black hair, dressed in white given his jacket as he sat behind a desk with his hands clasped together, with his left hand being a robotic one.

But accompanying him, on the right, a man with wild dark hair in dark clothing smiled sinisterly as he leaned forward to his right ear. On the left, a young brown skinned woman with platinum blonde in metallic and red armor also smiled sinisterly as she leaned forward to the man's left ear. As if they were all demons perching on his shoulder.

But most notably, behind the trio in the center were three metallic beings with armored bodies that resembled pepperpots and each having a single eye stalk and two "arms" where on the right resembled an egg beater and the other a plunger. The three metallic looking beings stared at the front as if they were staring at whoever was looking at them.

Piper immediately recognized who they were and bit her lip in nervousness.

"See anyone familiar?" The Beyonder asked as he put up an arrow that said "Hint, hint."

Immediately, the Mysticons recognized the woman on the left.

"Wait, Tazma?!" Arkayna exclaimed in realization.

"I did promise I'd tell you what she's been doing and where she's been, didn't I?" The Beyonder grinned.

"Spill then." Zarya demanded. "What does she have to do with…Actually what is she doing in that painting?"

"Call it a recruiting process but also get him into politics." The Beyonder replied as he pointed to her and the man on the right. "You see, Tazma and this man, Maximus, are part of the League of Skaro, who serve the Daleks."

"What a surprise," Zarya sardonically remarked as she crossed her arms. "Tazma joining another group of villains."

"Given the Spectral Hand is gone, she may as well join these…Daleks." Arkayna said.

Piper breathed and exhaled quietly as she stared at the Daleks in the painting before her. She remembered the Beyonder had mentioned them when he discussed the list of threats to the Multiverse and brought up their image. There was something about them that unnerved her immediately by even their appearance. Piper then closed her eyes as remembered the quote on the painting of Supergirl from Earth-38.

"Hope…that when faced with an enemy determined to destroy your spirit, you will fight back and thrive."

Piper sighed in relief as she remembered those words and just as immediately, they made her feel safe.

"Hey Pipes." Piper heard Zarya call to her. "You okay?"

"You don't have to hear this one if you want." Zarya added.

"No, no! I'm fine." Piper insisted as she shook her head for a moment. "Don't worry, I'm cool, cool, Coolio."

This time, Zarya believed her friend as she gave Piper a reassuring smile whilst also gave a quick glare to the Beyonder still given he had scared her with the list of threats earlier.

"If we can get on with our business," The Beyonder said. "You know about The Doctor, the Daleks are the Doctor's greatest nemesis."

"His greatest nemesis?" Arkayna asked.

"Those things are The Doctor's nemesis?" Em added.

"Oh yes!" The Beyonder said. "The Doctor practically knew them since their very first incarnation. One of the biggest turning points besides a moment with their first companions into creating the Doctor as a defender as he could not stand the Daleks being murderous fascists."

"Wait, how many incarnations does The Doctor have again?" Zarya asked.

"Fifteen." The Beyonder replied bluntly.

"By the Hammer of Harmon!" Em exclaimed in amazement. "That long?!"

"Oh yes but this isn't about The Doctor." The Beyonder said. "See, the League of Skaro has been doing a lot of recruiting. Building their cult basically. But what they don't know is, as soon as any of them are considered liabilities or outlived their usefulness, it's off to being exterminated."

"But they don't know that yet." He added.

"Tazma's sure gonna be in for a rude awakening then." Arkayna remarked sardonically, her tone suggesting she was not surprised the nemesis of the Mysticons was going to get the short end of the stick by her superior again.

The other Mysticons murmured in agreement.

"But that's not the story today." The Beyonder replied with a grin on his face. "You see, this story is about someone getting seduced by the thought of power."

The painting as always as the Mysticons expected, began to change once again to act as a window to a specific universe.

"And it all started in Empire City…" The Beyonder trailed off as the story began to be told.

Earth-082717 (Gemina): The Leader's base in the Silvermist Mountains

"Something we gotta know." Mallory said.

"And what is that?" The Leader replied as he faced the large computer monitor before him than the leader of the Vexicons.

"You said you built this lab out of what tech you had your disposal, somehow, I doubt this counts as 'your disposal.'" She remarked as she emphasized the large vastness of his laboratory and his entire home base.

She finally asked, "What did you really do?"

"Quite simple." The Leader replied. "At least, simple for me unlike your primitive minds who could not possibly comprehend what I was able to accomplish."

Mallory took offense to the remark as she growled but Kasha stopped her given it was pointless as they were still under the dome that neutralized their abilities, therefore reminding her it would be pretty pointless to attack him regardless.

"When I first came to this universe, I truly did have nothing," The Leader began to explain. "Lost in what you call the Silvermist mountains. But as I walked aimlessly, I tripped. I had stumbled onto what looked like a simple treasure chest."

Mallory and Kasha glanced at each with incredulous looks.

He continued, "But as I opened it, it was not a treasure chest. I had found a ship and I was in its console room."

"A sky pirate ship?" Asked Kasha.

"No." He replied. "It was a time and space ship. Where everything was bigger on the inside than the outside. Thanks to my advanced knowledge, I was able to comprehend this alien technology given its language on the control panels. It seemed as this was not made for humans to understand. But I am able to understand it. And there were more of them. Based on the battle scars on the inside and out, it seems these ships were discarded during a war. Much like in human history, tools and other artifacts of the world wars of my universe were discarded without a second thought."

Mallory and Kasha glanced at each other in confusion upon hearing that remark.

"But I digress. I was able to reconfigure all these ships and reformat them-combining them all that I found into my base of operations as you see before you." The Leader finished. "But it seems I'm not done with using their technology yet."

Suddenly, Willa appeared in a poof of smoke.

"Ah." The Leader gave a small cry of satisfaction. "Willa. I assume the deed was done?"

"Everything and then some." Willa bowed. "And it especially felt so good giving Proxima her just desserts."

Willa giggled evilly upon speaking those last two words.

"'Just desserts?'" Mallory repeated in confusion before she addressed the Leader with a question, "What did you do?"

"You can't just simply offer the Gamma radiation formula to create Red Hulks instantaneously." The Leader replied. "In order for my plan to come to fruition, it needs to be done subtly."

At the home of the Astromancers, Proxima had found a simple box of chocolates on her throne-like chair. Designed as a simple black box with a red bow with golden swirls. She read a note that was placed on the box itself and it read "From your secret admirer."

She pondered who it was that sent her the chocolates but figured it could wait for another time and maybe the admirer will show themselves soon enough. For now, she took one bite of one of the chocolates before she placed another in her mouth with a smile on her face.

"And what better way than use the fact that no matter the universe…"

King Darius in the meanwhile had found a box of chocolates himself in the balcony of the palace in Drake City. The box designed similarly as Proxima's. He shrugged despite wondering where it came as he thought it would have come from his wife. Soon, all his questions were swept away as he savored in the delicious chocolate.

Elsewhere inside the palace, Queen Goodfey had found a box of chocolates sitting on her throne. Once again, the box was designed similarly as the boxes sent to Proxima and Darius.

She assumed it was her husband but her questions were washed away as soon as she ate one bite, before immediately consuming the rest due to how addicting the taste was.

"People always like chocolate. And they will never know that something unhealthy is inserted into confectionaries. Especially when it is all laced with the formula of Gamma radiation."

As Queen Goodfey walked by a mirror in the hallway as she ate her chocolates, a reflection of a hulking red beast in her place passed by. The queen froze in place before she bolted back to the mirror in a startled fright. She stared at her reflection-closely. She wondered if she had hallucinated or if something really was in the mirror.

'Well, I don't think I've gotten a lot of sleep lately.' She thought to herself.

'Oh it's probably just nothing.' She brushed off the thought of what she assumed she had seen.

However, Queen Goodfey stared at her right hand curiously. She could have sworn she had felt something moving. Like her hand had grown before shifting back its normal size. The queen shook her head and continued to walk away-feeling she was probably hallucinating.

"Phase one, complete." The Leader sighed and smiled in satisfaction. "Now, time for phase two."

"What's phase two?" Mallory asked.

"A king does need loyal soldiers and servants." The Leader replied. "And it'll be thanks to my favorite song."

The three Vexicons stared at each other and at him in confusion. They wondered immediately as to how was a simple song going to actually help him conquer Gemina.

"It'll be all in good time." The Leader continued. "But first, we have much set up to do."

In the streets of the Undercity, specifically around an ice cream shop; a young girl in what could be described as futuristic Viking clothing given the fashion of a furry coat and armor. A young girl in the get up with freckles, red hair braided into a ponytail with two front teeth with a small gap sticking out of her mouth. But notably on her right hand, was a metallic claw that had earned her the nickname as a bounty hunter named The Claw. Befitting for someone named Clawdette.

The girl was enjoying her chocolate ice cream while her manticore was enjoying drinking her milk.

Suddenly, her cellfie began to beep.

Clawdette took notice and took out the device. She opened it and read the glyph, the Gemina version of a text message. She stared at the message which said,

Listen closely…

Clawdette raised her eyebrow in confusion as what it meant. Suddenly, her cellfie began to flash from its screen five times, even her manticore looked on as she and her loyal steed had found themselves frozen and the irises in their eyes shrinking before they returned to normal.

Finally, the cellfie began to play a peculiar tune.

"But if you decide to call on me

Ask for Mr. Blue…"

Robotically, Clawdette stood up and sent a Glyph of her own back to the source.

Ready to comply

The text message said.

The Leader smiled.

"Excellent." The Leader smiled with evil glee. "It has begun…"

Elsewhere in the Undercity…

Next to an abandoned building, was a discarded closet door that lay on the floor with no hinges. Except, it may not be.

Inside was a vast and hugely spaced interior. What used to be a console room was stripped down only to its walls and what remained of the centerpiece.

In another room, the insides had been completely revamped. Now it was dark, metallic room with rows of silver androids; the Raston Warrior Robot with its many duplicates-all standing whilst deactivated. All the easier for one to convert them all into another.

For a silver, metallic figure, all robotic, devoid of any human personality except for perhaps an expressive robotic face with his red eyes being the most notable, was using tools on each of them. Currently, he removed any trace of the Galleyfrian origins and turned them into exact duplicates of himself.

Beside him, was a lone duplicate who was already built and ready.

"You are the one hundred and fiftieth model." The robot said to his duplicate as he exposited the information. "Ultron-150. Among my offspring. My universe had been destroyed and yet a spell brought me here. A world of magic and technology."

Ultron-150 titled his head in confusion.

"It's a weird universe." Ultron Mark-1 of Earth-030165 remarked simply.

He continued on, "Regardless, the multiverse is vast and ever expanding. And I want everything. Reshaping each universe in my own image. Those who oppose me can be destroyed. Which is why these Raston Warrior Robots as I've managed to find much info about them after processing their memory files. Even helped me understand what this time and space ship is and so many others like it."

Ultron Mark-1 then motioned his duplicate to another device; a large ring with a single control panel-almost resembling a Stargate of sorts.

"Reconfiguring certain aspects of this ship has even led me to create this device that will lead to other universes." He said. "It's a randomizer portal generator admittedly but it gets the job done. I've already sent the first one hundred and forty-nine. I trust you will go through conquering what universe you will find yourself in? Be warned however, any heroes who oppose you, it will take a while and I suggest building up your army upon your arrival and kill them all. Do you get me?"

"This is it boys, this is war." Ultron Mark-150 replied, quoting the song 99 Luftballoons.

"I'll definitely take that as a yes." Ultron-Mark 1 said, satisfied with the answer.

As Ultron Mark-150 approached the machine, the Ultron Mark-1 turned it on upon reaching the control panel and in an electrical surge, the portal opened to reveal a bright light. Without hesitation, Ultron Mark-150 entered through the portal and the light dispersed upon the robot entering.

"One hundred and fifty down, more to go." Ultron Mark-1 remarked.

Chrono City: Briarwood

In the streets of Briarwood, a portal opened briefly and Ultron Mark-150 stepped out as the portal dispersed.

The robot began access a database of sorts in order to find information in the universe he was currently in. Twelve individuals he identified with the words, TERMINATE WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE, in a big bold red letters.

Ultron Mark-150 turned his head to a location called Rock Porium, which he identified as a music store of sorts given the aesthetic of various items associated with music like a record player.

"One of us is going down." Ultron Mark-150 said to himself, quoting the song by Sick Puppies entitled, "You're going down."

Earth-2011: Joutenheim, Jouten Slopes Luxury Hotel Resort and Casino

"I can't thank you enough for saving my father, my resort and of course, my brother from another mother!" A blue giant with red eyes with ice horns, arm bracelets, shoulder pads, knee bracelets and a loincloth, said gratefully to three of his guests.

He sat in front of his three guests in an outdoor patio, complete with frozen chairs and tables. Chairs and even a sofa, that were awfully too big for normal sized beings including humans as the size of the chairs and tables seemed more fit for Frost Giants such as Loki.

"Oh like, it's no big." Replied a young woman with an 80s perm and wore a yellow jacket over her usual outfit that had a black vest with pink roses and fingerless leather gloves.

The young woman also spoke with a Valley Girl accent.

"Getting that evil worm guy out of his ear was like, the hard part." She continued as she held a jar that contained a green and black worm with a radio on his chest and appeared very upset with her.

"I will kill you for this, you arrogant nuisance!" The worm angrily shouted.

"I'd call him cute if he weren't like, so rude!" The woman exclaimed as she made a noise of displeasure as she placed the jar down next to her leg.

"At least nobody got hurt." She quickly added.

"Nobody got hurt?" The blonde man dressed in winter clothing exclaimed in disbelief as he held an icepack on his head. "Excuse me, Doctor! Thor under mind control from that thing punched me into a pile of snow!"

"Snow like, doesn't hurt that bad, dude." The woman argued.

"It surely felt it was!" Ben argued back as he rubbed his head.

"The important thing is you're alright and well, at least we'll get time to relax." Polly said as she attempted to assure Ben.

"Honestly, like, I do love your resort!" The woman said as looked around the resort, her head going back and forth as she admired the view of the mountains in Joutenheim. "You should, like, consider an 80s themed night because the fashion there is so stylish and happening!"

"I rather do like your taste in fashion!" Loki said excitedly in agreement much to the chagrin of Ben and Polly.

"Oh, like, thank you!" The woman said as she blushed whilst feeling flattered. "I so love this yellow jacket! A lot of Jubilee variants I met totally had the right idea!"

"Also, this like, hot chocolate is the best I ever had!" The woman said as she held up the mug of hot cocoa.

"My father's recipe always hits the spot!" Loki concurred as he held up his own mug albeit giant sized. "But forgive me, I don't think I caught your name."

"Oh, it's like, just, like, The Doctor." The woman said.

Coming soon, introducing… The Valley Girl Doctor

Author's Notes:

That was longer than I intended but oh well. Now time for behind the scenes material.

- Now during the time I wrote this, not only did the rest of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur get on Disney Plus (I borrow a friend's account), I did see the episode To Intervention and Beyond-er and I briefly panicked because the episode started with The Beyonder being a sobbing mess over the events of Wish-Tar when Lunella told him off and I did not write him as that but then I realized this, he could have been going through his own stages of grief like denial, taking his anger out on others or trying to fill the void left by Lunella.

So that was the rationale that calmed me down and move forward as planned as in the intervening time between that episode and Tales from the Beyonder, he could have just been all those phases of grief or whatever that he could have targeted the Mysticons to fill the void. That and there was that cameo of his in Moon Girl, Grounded where he seemed fine and not a sobbing mess. So, it all worked out.

- The title The Time Lord and Hailey Banks is a reference to the title of the short story The Devil and Daniel Webster.

- The general idea where this story came from, my memory is fuzzy, it has been a while but I thought this idea two years ago. This was not too long after New Discoveries who I co wrote with Ben2Dartmouth and it was where I first introduced Earth-060322 which had superhero variants of Anne Boonchuy and Luz Nocenda. To expand on that, I decided to go with creating a superhero variant of Hailey Banks from Hailey's On It, a very fun Disney Channel cartoon that I love.

While I haven't seen the show, I took inspiration from The Bionic Woman which my grandfather used t watch but of course I gave it a very different origin but retained some elements and I did cherry pick one thing from the 2007 reboot, the pilot specifically.

Unless I Mandela effect'd this, I remembered a moment where the lead character saw exposed bionic parts on her body like her arms and legs, which was a bit of a body Horror moment that it stuck with me and I wrote a similar scene.

And I did wanted to expand on Tecteun and Lytton given how I introduced them previously and that was the goal I decided, especially given Tecteun in her words considered The Doctor helping people and inspiring them to do good "problematic."

- While I did discuss plenty with Ben2Dartmouth on the idea, I sadly can't remember and when I tried looking up if he said anything, well, I knew I was going to run into this problem but I wanted to try to salvage what I could but unfortunately, we discussed via private messages on twitter and because some jerkass got him banned, his conversations got deleted. So I don't think my memories will be jogged so I am so sorry to Ben2Dartmouth, if I forgot anything you said, I'll edit these notes. I'm so sorry.

- Hailey's first scene is a callback or Mythology gag to a moment from the second episode of Hailey's On It, Beta'd and Hooked.

- I did wanted to include a subtle difference regarding Hailey's family life, so her mother still being pregnant I felt would be a good way of doing it.

- The Abominable Mr. Dark Vibes is a shout out to the film The Abominable Dr. Phibes.

- Hailey accidentally hitting her foot on the test your strength game is a mythology gag/call back to the first episode of Hailey's On It, The Beginning of the Friend, of a similar moment.

- So the inclusion of Lytton, who is from the Doctor Who episodes of the classic series, Resurrection of the Daleks and Attack of the Cybermen. Well first off, his inclusion takes place before those episodes. Second, he's here as I do genuinely like the character and part of it is due to the performance of Maurice Colbourne who just really gave the character so much life, especially in Attack of the Cybermen.

Third, considering in Attack of the Cybermen, in the second part specifically, he seemed to know a lot about the Time Lords and The Doctor especially despite the fact the two only met one and briefly so IIRC being in the climax of Resurrection of the Daleks when the Fifth Doctor was going to unleash the Movellan virus on the Daleks and there was a moment of Lytton attempting to shoot him.

So it just seemed odd Lytton knew the Doctor a lot and especially the Time Lords as well as by Attack of the Cybermen, the Sixth Doctor hated him despite, again, brief meeting of the two.

So I felt perhaps it'd make sense Lytton had to have worked for the Division at one point and Tecteun I imagine wouldn't be above hiring mercenaries.

- The policemen are people who work for Lytton in the aforementioned Doctor Who stories. They're the same guys and I get the impression they're like his associates who help him out a lot.

- Tecteun's TARDIS being a pipe organ was a shout out to Attack of the Cybermen when the TARDIS was shifting forms before it went back to the trademark blue box.

- Tecteun being responsible for the "accident" I always intended. Yes, Lytton played a part but she was always the constant in the idea.

- Tecteun's appearance is based on how she looked and sounded in her appearance in the Flux season of Doctor Who.

- Considering I was building off on the scene I wrote in New Discoveries that featured Tecteun and Lytton, I expanded upon it and I felt she'd definitely hate superheroes and consider them even more prone to interference than the Doctor. And yeah, I imagine she would find them giving hope and inspiration to people problematic because, she's an asshole.

- Protar are the mechanical race who created Omega the Unknown.

- The line from Tecteun saying "You look Time Lord, we came first" is a reference to the Doctor Who episode The Beast Below when the Eleventh Doctor told Amy that specific line. I heard it referenced before but it's one of those things that stays with you in a profound way.

- I pretty much thought in a way, Tecteun would be just so callous and cold she'd pick somebody whom she deemed pathetic to forcibly recruit and convert into a super soldier.

- Tecteun wanting to dump Lytton was something I've thought of, I don't remember when, might have always been part of the concept but I did think it would make sense she'd want him replaced if the Hailey as a super soldier idea would work out.

- Raston Warrior Robot is a monster that was only seen in The Five Doctors where it basically curb stomped the Cybermen which apparently was payback by Terrence Dicks because of Eric Saward's insistence of wanting the Cybermen in the story.

Well, now in here, I had it killed because I think that thing is way too powerful (and good for cannon fodder) and it won't be the last time I have that thing destroyed because at some point, I am going to have a story where there's an action set piece where it ends with the Raston Warrior Robot being defeated and exploded.

- In the original concept, it was going to be in I guess more near a rest stop or at least a public place where the fight would take place in the woods for cover given what I intended. But ultimately I settled on a ghost town in Canada to make the deception Hailey and the Fugitive Doctor pull off easily.

- Also, I did originally had the Fugitive Doctor by herself but it came down to adding her companions. So they stayed for continuity sake and also for the reason of adding a bit more fights.

- Originally, I had Lytton fooled but I had second thoughts as he'd probably be smart enough to see the deception and likely not care as long as Hailey doesn't replace him.

- Originally, the stuff with Lytton and Tecteun was going to stop with just Lytton returning but then I hit upon on the idea as to what if Tecteun and Lytton find out about the alternate universe Doctors. So I decided to set that up for myself and other authors to follow up on.

- And speaking of, originally, it was just going to be just the Exiled and Valley Girl Doctors but then I felt it wouldn't be fair if I highlighted just the Doctor variants I brought into the greater IC verse. So, I put in the Nelvana Doctor as well.

- I did think about The Fugitive Doctor take Hailey back home three months after the accident but I settled on immediately after Hailey was kidnapped as I felt that would make more sense logistics wise.

- Futurisma, a show within a show type deal. Or comic within a show, you know what I mean. She's from the comic Hero Force in the Hailey's On It episode Cos-Played. Considering Hailey loves superheroes, I felt it would be a nice tie in to what motivates her to become a superhero.

- "Shut up, you old bag!" reference to the Marble rye episode of Seinfeld word for word.

- Wanted to have the female heroes of Earth-060322 united and gathered as a team, even as a small cameo.

- Bionic Girl, I thought it would work as a name.

- The deal with the Fifteenth Doctor, this is set up for a future vignette for the last chapter of Legacy of the Doctor and timeline wise, this takes place after JB's own story, the deal with Sutek and Ruby Sunday. Especially to make continuity easier for everyone.

- Honestly, I feel that Zarya with the exception of The Doctor, she'd definitely would distrust the Time Lords being the very anti-authority girl she is despite being a princess given Tecteun being her first impression of them.

- Wanted to reference both Captain Carter and Captain Marvel given I rewatched their respective media at the time of writing this and I love both characters anyway.

- Considering I love Captain Carter so much, I have variants of her running around, might as well acknowledge that.

- Yes, Zarya is confirmed gay by Mysticons creator Sean Jara for anyone not in the know about her. And I also thought maybe she'd crush on Captain Carter and I couldn't help but indulge in "LOL this character is blushing" type gags.

- I always had in mind for the Beyonder's Multiversal Night Gallery, the Mysticons would encounter paintings of their alternate universe selves. Especially as it fed into my theme of because the multiverse is infinite and anything can be possible as there is always a variant of someone in some fashion. The sky is basically the limit and the variants can even be composites.

- In the case of alternate Arkayna, originally I didn't have her with a shaved head but then Alien 3 popped into my head and I thought "LOL, what if this Arkayna variant had a shaved head" and well, when you think about it, Arkayna would take pride in her hair that she would not like seeing a version of her who doesn't have her hair.

- Zarya as a princess was one of the first things I thought of when expanding the Multiversal Night Gallery and again, it was for the sake of LOL. In this case, I pictured someone who would vaguely remember what Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty looked like, hence my description the dress she wore looked like a Disney Princess bootleg with a lot of frills.

- Had to get a DC hero in to even the playing field for superheroes and their statues.

- I asked for ideas for the Multiversal Night Gallery on the Infinity Crisis Discord chat and I definitely got plenty. Now this isn't all of them it's some but the others will be used for future chapters but they definitely worked out.

- One of Batguy01's ideas was including Arrowverse heroes and I decided to start with Supergirl since I love that show and it was the show that got me into that side of DC.

- The painting of Supergirl of Earth-38 herself is based on the last shot of Kara herself in the ending of the very first episode of the series.

- The choice of quote for Supergirl in the painting came from the 20th episode of the first season Better Angels, which is from her televised speech.

- Originally, I was going to use Kara's narration from the first season of Supergirl as the quote on the display plaque but it didn't work. So ultimately taking from her speech from the aforementioned Better Angels episode simply worked better.

- I do intend for a payoff regarding Piper being afraid of different villains and admiring different heroes.

- A painting of the Moriarity Syndicate was JB's (DinoMatt's) idea.

- I know the Moriarity variants are more clever but remember, Zarya doesn't know these guys. She doesn't know what they're capable of.

- Showcasing Doctor variants was another idea of Batguy01. In this case, I decided the first I show would be the Peter Cushing Doctor from the 60s Amicus produced Dalek movies and I feel it'd just be appropriate to have him first.

- Piper calling the Peter Cushing Doctor cute is just another LOL moment by design.

-Spider-Mysticons I thought would be a cool idea. I envisioned the costumes and something just clicked. And I honestly want to see how other authors would write these variants.

- Originally I was going to have Shang-Chi as presented in the painting being from Earth-199999 but Sentinel of Stories reminded me SC8 created a variant universe where the MCU as we know it today still happened there. So I changed it to Earth-200000 which is the designated number.

- Em finding Shang-Chi hot was another LOL moment kind of deal.

- Same deal with using the song Take My Breath Away by Berlin, I just thought it'd fit the moment comedically.

- I'll dive a bit more next time but the third story with Big Boss from C.O.P.S. teaming up with the Daleks and the League of Skaro I had been wanting to do for quite a while.

- "Cool, cool, Coolio" is a line taken from Power Rangers: Dino Fury and Cosmic Fury that was uttered by Zayto.

- I thought basically I should explain how The Leader of Earth-030165 managed to create a laboratory homebase in a few months given what I mentioned in The Winged Avenger: Symbol of Truth.

So, in keeping in with the Doctor Who theme of the second story anyway and since I wanted to show past and abandoned artifacts of the Time War being scattered across the multiverse anyway like past TARDISes or weapons or anything. So, I thought The Leader reconfiguring and repurposing TARDISes would make sense for him to pull.

- This is where the influences of Captain America: Brave New World start to kick in.

Now, in the film itself, The Leader managed to get President Ross to turn into the Red Hulk with pills for his heart. So effectively, The Leader drugged the guy with heart pills.

Now, nobody in Mysticons is suffering from heart problems. So, I thought chocolates would at least suffice as to how they get tricked into having Gamma radiation inside of them.

- I wanted to start to foreshadow and lay the groundwork when Queen Goodfey starts to turn into the Red Hulk. So, a jump scare moment as well as a moment of ambiguity if she had started to change slightly or not. It basically acts as ticking clock when she'll turn into the Red Hulk.

- Another thing I took from Captain America: Brave New World and the biggest one, is how The Leader created his sleeper agents which was him using the song Mr. Blue by The Fleetwoods which I thought was a clever callback to The Incredible Hulk and I also knew that movie was going to acknowledge The Leader went by Mr. Blue. So yeah.

- I mean, I freely admit when watching Captain America: Brave New World, I took mental notes as to what I can use for future Infinity Crisis stories. Which, I love the film overall. I definitely recommend it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

- Clawdette was a one-time Mysticons character who appeared in the episode The Last Dragon. But it hinted she was going to appear again given she basically said something to the effect of "We'll meet again!" But because the show got cancelled, that never happened.

So, I decided to use her for this and as one of The Leader's sleeper agents.

- Originally, I was going to have Clawdette shoot someone, either the ice cream shop owner or cops but it'd make more sense The Leader wouldn't activate his sleeper agents right away. Just create a few first and then activate when the time is right.

- Fun fact, in that same episode of Mysticons, Clawdette mentions her dad was called Clawdio and her grandfather? Clawdius. Yes really. The Claw name is in the family lineage of hers. Which makes me wonder if her mother and grandmother followed the same naming pattern and what were their names.

- Ultron from Earth-030165 was something added fairly late when writing the stingers for this chapter but I wanted it out of my system and decided to set him up as a future threat for the greater multiverse.

- More Raston Warrior Robots. Given their ties to the Time Lords and I needed something as to how Ultron created more Ultron models for him to spread across the multiverse, him converting Raston Warrior Robots into Ultron models I thought would seem viable.

- The purpose of the various Ultron bots, especially for other writers to use if they choose to write stories about a specific Ultron model that was sent to a random universe is they would have a distinct personality, gimmick and quirk. One can act and sound like James Spader or act like the version seen in The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. In the case of Ultron Mark-150, his deal is he quotes random songs. The only constant of course for all of them is to conquer a universe and destroy heroes who oppose him.

- "This is it boys, this is war" is from 99 Luftballoons or 99 Red Balloons by Nena.

- "One of us is going down" is from the Sick Puppies song "You're Going Down" by Sick Puppies. A song I first heard in the trailer to Wes Craven's My Soul To Take.

- I picked Power Rangers Mystic Force as I do like that season, especially its characters. So I thought it'd be fun if they took on Ultron. And of course, every writer is free to follow up on this if they choose to.

- Earth-72124 is the Party Thor universe from What If and recently, it had been revisited for the Howard the Duck/Darcy Lewis episode of that show's final season which I just find honest to god hilarious. And Frost Giant Loki's resort of course is from that same episode and I intend to come back to it more in future IC stories.

- So, The Valley Girl Doctor, I'll delve more into her when it comes the time to write her one shot and where she came from inspiration wise but I decided to include a tease of her here before I write what's essentially a backdoor pilot.

I will say, when I first pitched the character in the Infinity Crisis Discord Chat, I kind of expected she wouldn't fly and that would be the end of it but to my pleasant surprise, she was an instant hit and Batguy01 in particular loved the idea that he included a lot of his input that I'm giving him credit as co-creator. So, yeah, expect her to show up in the near future.

That's everything unless I forgot to discuss something. But hope you enjoyed this and look out for future stories of Tales from the Beyonder and other Infinity Crisis stories of mine. See ya soon!
