1st September 2004:
Jack walked through Kings Cross station until he reached the wall between platforms 9 and 10. This was his sixth time arriving at this exact spot and knew exactly what he had to do to get to platform 9 and . As he was about to run, Sawyer called out "Morning prefect, ready to start your journey on becoming Head boy".
Jack turned and exclaimed "Sawyer, you're here, at the same time, great".
Sawyer retorted "Well, school's starting Head boy. I know it's not as important to me as you, but I still need to go".
Jack asked "What do you mean Head boy; I'm not Head boy. They don't choose that until the beginning of next year".
Sawyer answered, "I know that, but I also know that you are eyeing that prize".
Jack responded "I'm not eyeing any prize, and I didn't want the position of prefect. Professor Jacob just offered it to me".
Locke walked past and said "James, Jack".
Jack and Sawyer responded "John" before Locke ran straight through the barrier.
Sawyer remarked "He's definitely going to be competition for you after you beat him for prefect".
Jack exclaimed "I didn't beat him. I wasn't competing. They just gave it to me, when will you get that".
Sawyer retorted "Locke doesn't think that. He's hated you, ever since you became prefect".
Jack responded "Well, Locke can do what he likes. I don't care. Just because he wanted it badly and they chose me, when I didn't even want it in the first place".
Sawyer stated "Well, he's going to be competing with you this year. Making sure he doesn't lose again. It's going to make the common room a really great place to hang out, or sleep. The seven of us are really going to have a great time this year. Anyway prefect, see you in the Great Hall". Sawyer then ran towards the barrier and entered the gateway.
Jack still had no idea how Sawyer ended up in Gryffindor. On the train ride there on his first day, he thought that Sawyer would end up in Slytherin. He was rude, obnoxious, and made fun of everyone. Jack even saw that Sawyer was surprised himself when he heard Gryffindor being called out. He also remembers Kate panicking that she'd be in the same house with him because she wanted to be in Gryffindor badly, but the sorting hat told her that she belonged in Slytherin and that it was what she needed and would help her, but it was her choice and if she didn't want to, then it would listen. Jack was surprised when Kate relented, and he thought it was to be away from Sawyer, but she told him that it was because Slytherin would help her, and Kate has never regretted that decision and the sorting hat knew where she belonged. She even became Slytherin's prefect. Jack then looked at his watch and remembered that he had to get to Hogwarts. Jack exclaimed "Oh shit" and rushed inside and ran towards the train. He climbed inside just as the train began to move.
Jack moved along the compartments and Sawyer joked "Cutting it close, prefect".
Jack retorted "Whatever, Sawyer". Jack then moved passed him and towards the prefects cabin where all the other sixth year prefects where waiting.
As Jack entered, he saw his fellow Gryffindor prefect Ana Lucia, Slytherin's Kate and Ben, Hufflepuff's Hurley and Libby, and Ravenclaw's Juliet and Richard. Kate immediately embraced him in a hug and said, "I'm missed you so much, how was your summer".
Jack answered "It was good. My father took me to America to see the Boston Red Cloaks play in the American Quidditch league. They were good but they'll never win. Apparently, a muggle curse hit them 86 years ago and they've never won ever since".
Kate remarked "Well, at least you had fun".
Ana Lucia stood up and said "Enough of this. He's my fellow prefect and friend to. I wanna say hello".
Kate moved out of the way and Jack hugged Ana Lucia and asked, "How's it going Ana".
Ana Lucia answered "Good, now that I'm no longer the only Gryffindor in here. I was beginning to worrying that you weren't coming this year".
Jack responded "Don't worry. I'd never let that happen. How was your summer".
Ana Lucia answered "It was alright. Besides my mother forcing me to go into an Auror internship program. I mean, I'm already doing all the classes that I need to take to get in, but she still doesn't think it's enough".
Libby asked, "But is that what you want to do Ana".
Ana Lucia answered, "I told professor Hawking that I did, and I want to. I'm just unsure. I just, I just think I need time to think it over. But the classes I'm taking this year will help no matter what I decide, so at least that helps".
Ben asked, "But what will your mother think if you don't want to become an Auror anymore".
Ana Lucia answered, "Then she's just gonna have to deal with it. Nobody's gonna be telling what Ana Lucia Cortez what she has to do".
The students continued to talk and have fun before they all changed into their robes and waited for the moment the Hogwarts express would arrive at Hogsmeade. When it did, the students but the first years, who were being led by the Groundskeeper up to the school. The students took the horseless carriages up, but the students all heard the rumours that they were actually pulled by Threstrals but didn't believe it. They entered the Great Hall and sat down at their respective tables. The Headmaster, professor Jacob stood up and said "Welcome, welcome everyone to another year at Hogwarts. It's so great to have you all back and you all know what it's time for now. To get our first years sorted and join our family here at Hogwarts". The doors opened and professor Hawking led the first years in before she quickly rushed away which confused the students because she was the one that normally sorted them. The first years were sorted and Professor Jacob stood up and said "I welcome our first years, this is going to be a great year for you, one of discovery and exploration. You know nothing about this place or what you'll become here but I assure you that each of us here; will help you on that path. One that'll surprise even surprise even yourself and you'll become a great witch or wizard. Now, I have been informed that one of our students is having a tough time. She's not even here and in her common room because she's scared about what people will think of her. I want each and everyone of you to be kind and show her the respect that she deserves. It is not easy to be in her condition and when one of us is struggling, we need to all pull together and work as one. We are a family, and, in a family, we help each other no matter what. We may have differences and disagreements but when it comes time to help, we are there for each other. I have been very pleased that in every year I've been at Hogwarts, that has been the case, and I want that to continue because I know the type of people that we are here, but that can so easily be ruined by one act or word. It's been an honour to be able to say that Hogwarts is a school that works completely as one and if I have to change that, I'd be extremely disappointed. You all have a choice every day, so choose to be good and don't let me, your classmates, your school, and yourself down. Now, let's all sing the school song together before the feast. Students, help our first years please". Professor Jacob lead the rendition of 'Hoggy Hoggy Hogwarts' and they all sat down to eat.
While the students eat, Charlie who had been sitting next to Hurley asked, "You've seen Claire".
Hurley answered "No". He then turned to Libby on his other side and asked "Hey, Libby. You've seen Claire".
Libby answered, "No. She wasn't with you on the train".
Charlie answered "No. She's been secretive all summer. Hasn't responded to any of my owls. Did she not come this year".
Hurley asked, "Do you think she's the student that professor Jacob is talking about".
Libby answered, "Could be but you think that either professor Jacob or professor Hawking would have told us".
Charlie responded "Yeah, I guess but I'm just worried you know. She's never missed the school before".
At the end of the feast, the Hufflepuff students went to the common room and as they arrived, they saw professor Hawking standing outside the barrels which concealed the entrance, and she said "Hello students. I know you must be wondering why I'm standing outside the common room and that's to inform you that one of own, Miss Claire Littleton is having a hard time at the moment".
Charlie asked "What's wrong with her. Why wasn't she at the feast".
Professor Hawking answered "I'm sure you have a lot of questions but first I want you all as Hufflepuffs to be kind and understanding. She's having a hard time, and she needs your support. The staff here have already promised all the support she needs but she needs emotional support from her friends. And I know that you all will give it. I have faith in both my house and you. We Hufflepuffs work as one, and we'll continue to do so. So, let's all so her our respect and friendship".
Charlie said "We will professor. We all promise".
Professor Hawking accepted and tapped 'Helga Hufflepuff' on the barrel and the barrel opened to reveal the entrance. Claire was sat by the fire and professor Hawking said "Claire. Claire sweetheart. Your housemate are here and want to show you their support".
Claire didn't move but held her stomach and as they walked over, they saw her pregnant stomach and a couple of girls gasped and Charlie exclaimed softly "Claire".
Claire responded "Hi guys. How was the feast".
Professor Hawking said "Hufflepuffs, as you can see, one of us is in a difficult position right now and we all need to work together". She then said to Claire "Come to me if you have any problems. My door is always open". Professor Hawking then left and said "Hufflepuffs, I'm trusting you. Don't let me down". The door then closed.
Everyone's attention turned back to Claire who was caressing her stomach and Charlie asked, "Is this why you haven't been returning my letters". Claire nodded and Charlie said "Claire, you can tell me everything".
Claire retorted "Oh really. How could I explain in a letter that over the Christmas holidays, I got knocked up by some random dude in Sydney".
Libby went over and said, "We're your friends Claire and we're here for you".
Claire asked "Really, you don't care that I'm going to be a teenage mum. That I'm going to give birth at sixteen".
Charlie answered "No. And I don't care that you're pregnant. You're still Claire and I wouldn't want to spend a day here without her".
Claire smiled and Hurley said "Yeah dude, we're here for you. You and the little Hufflepuff inside".
Claire giggled and asked, "You don't mind there being a baby around here".
Everyone answered "No".
Claire struggled to get up and Charlie helped her. She then hugged Charlie and said "Thank you. Thank you so much". Claire then hugged her fellow Hufflepuffs, and they went back talking like normal. Claire sat by the fire and watched as everyone else went to bed. She didn't want to move and was happy to be alone. She then noticed that the final person up was Charlie and he went over to her. Claire asked, "You going to bed".
Charlie answered "I wanna speak to you first". Claire accepted and Charlie moved to sitting on the armchair besides her. Charlie said "Claire, I want you to know that I'm here for you".
Claire responded, "I know Charlie and I thank you very much".
Charlie said, "But over the summer I did a lot of thinking, and I don't like where we left off".
Claire responded, "Charlie if this is about".
Charlie interrupted "I know I screwed up. I know I shouldn't have kept that Billywig. I know what they do, and I know what happens when they sting you. I just".
Claire interrupted "Charlie. I know and I have forgiven you. It's just that I really like where we are now. I like us being friends and I don't want to ruin it. You really made me feel good, especially when I just found out about this. You had no idea, but you were still helping me. I appreciated it and I knew that right then, I couldn't not have you in my life, but I didn't think that we should be together. And I think the same way now. I'm sorry I didn't respond to your owls, but I was going through a hard time. My mother's disappointed in me and she just spent the whole winter yelling at me for not getting an abortion but ever since I found out, I was too scared to tell her, and I thought I could wait until I came home but it's to late. I can't get one. I was to far along and now I have to keep it. Mum told me that once it's born to drop it off at an orphanage but. But I don't know. I feel him kick and I just love feeling him there and knowing he's safe. I know I'm only sixteen but is it wrong to keep him".
Charlie responded "It's your decision Claire. If you want to give him to a good family, then you're not a bad person and I'll support you. But if you wanna keep him and be his mother than I'll support you in that. As a friend. I love you Claire and yes, I wanna be your boyfriend again and I'm sorry that I screwed it up. But I'll always be there for you, you and him no matter what. I love you Claire and I'm sorry that I caused so much trouble for you".
Claire responded "It's okay. I forgive you. I've done worse to myself than you ever did. I let my anger at you allow a random kid to impregnate me. And I don't know if it's a boy yet. I just think it is".
Charlie accepted and told her "I pushed you to do that. I'm sorry and I'm sorry that you couldn't tell me. Goodnight Claire. Come downstairs to the boys dormitory if you need me".
Claire accepted and said, "Good night, Charlie". Charlie went to the Sixth year's Hufflepuff dormitory and to his bed between Hurley and Bernard. Claire watched Charlie enter and as he did, she felt a kick from her baby and Claire said "Oh, hey baby. You up. Mummy's going to bed now, so you be careful with her okay". Claire then went to her bed and fell asleep in her bed between Libby and Rose.
2nd September 2004
In the morning up in Gryffindor Tower, Jack came down to see Lapidus over by the board and exclaimed "Son of a". He then turned and said "I've got Arithmancy right before every Quidditch practice. If I knew that I wouldn't have requested those slots. I'm gonna have to run every time, or we'll never get enough practice in this year".
Locke retorted "Well, Captain, you're just going to have to deal with it. But don't worry I'll warm everyone up before we start. Ana Lucia, you okay with that".
Ana Lucia answered "Whatever Locke. I don't care. I just want you to stop bitching about losing both the prefect and Quidditch captain slot".
Locke said, "I deserved both those slots".
Sawyer remarked "So, you wanted to be both prefect and Quidditch captain. Someone has an ego on them. Jack, you are in for some competition when it come to choosing Head boy".
Locke remarked "At least you don't need to be either to become it. And I can get access to the prefects bathroom".
Lapidus said "That reminds me. Quidditch try outs are Friday. It's the same for all houses. Ours is at 4. Right after Slytherin. Now, I'm posting it here for you all to see and I'm telling you this. Just because you got in last year, doesn't mean you get an automatic position this year. Even my Seeker position's on the line. So, bring you're A – game. You might end up on the team and win us the Quidditch cup this year".
Sawyer went over and asked "Hey, can any one join because I heard that both Juliet and Kate were trying out and were shoe in's".
Lapidus sighed and said, "Is the only reason you want to tryout because you wanna impress girls".
Sawyer retorted "Uh, the hottest girls in school. Hell yeah".
Lapidus said "Tryout's at four. And if you get in, you get in. You have to be on time, every time. You understand".
Sawyer responded, "Yes Captain".
Lapidus went over to Rousseau, Ana Lucia, and Eko and said "You two have nothing to worry about. You're the best Chaser and Beaters in the school. None of these guys are gonna come close".
Rousseau remarked "I just hate how we lost how we're going to be competing without our full team. We've all been together since Third year and we would've won if Slytherin didn't cheat and pulled on the back of your broom. If so, we could've reached it before they got those last two quaffles in".
Lapidus said "Well, this year we're gonna have better Chasers to help you out. Not let the other teams get so many points on us".
As the school went down for breakfast Kate sat between Michael and Shannon and asked "What's going on. Why are so many people at the Hufflepuff table".
Shannon answered "It's Claire. She's pregnant".
Kate was shocked and exclaimed "Claire".
Shannon nodded and said "I heard from Hurley that it's some random boy she met in Sydney. They spent a night together during Christmas and".
Kate remarked "I can't believe we didn't know. She must've been trying to conceal it at the end of last year".
Michael asked, "Wasn't that just after her and Charlie".
Shannon answered "Yep, remember how much she was pissed at him. I guess she decided to go the extra mile".
Michael stated "That's beyond the extra mile. That's fucked up".
Shannon joked "Like she is".
Nikki remarked "I can't believe she'd do that to herself. I mean being angry at a guy is one thing. But this, my God".
Miles walked over and said, "Did you hear about".
Shannon interrupted "The pregnant Aussie. Yeah".
Ben said "Who would've thought it would be her. If I had to pick anyone it'd, be you Shannon. Or did you get an abortion when you found out that it was your stepbrothers".
Shannon retorted "Shut the fuck up you bug- eyed son bastard. I will beat you into a pulp".
Ben responded "I think I struck a nerve. Hitting to accurately to home I wonder".
Shannon tried to get up and but both Kate and Nikki held her back and Kate said "Don't worry about Ben. He's just trying to upset you. Don't let him". Ben smiled at her and Shannon reluctantly sat back down.
The students went to class and practiced spells and got homework and assignments. During the final period was the sixth years Potions class which was taught by professor Black. A man constantly dressed in Black and has the nickname the man in black. He's member of the well-known wizarding family; the Blacks, but when his mother died in childbirth, he was given to his closest relative, which happened to be professor Jacob's family and the two became brothers. But professor Jacob was always better than him and professor Black became resentful towards his brother, especially after getting the Headmaster job. Professor Black got up and spoke in front of the students and said "Class. It appears one of our members has gotten herself into a situation entirely of her own making and we all have to accommodate. So, Miss Littleton, you are cleared from all dangerous potion making and duties that could possess a danger to you or child. But don't think you are getting off lightly. You will still have to show you have a knowledge of the potion and how to make it. Reports are expected from you and be of a high standard. This is not a free period, and you'll do as much work as everyone else. Baby or no baby. Is that understood".
Claire answered, "Yes professor".
Professor Black responded "Good. Now, let's get into the year by brewing a potion you all should know very well. The cure for boils and if you don't know it, I suggest you leave this class. This is NEWT standard and if you can't do this then you'll never receive anything higher than Troll, and for both of our sakes, let's not have to deal with that. Am I understood".
Everyone answered "Yes, professor Black".
Professor Black said "Good. Now, everyone, let's get to it".
3rd September 2004
After the day's classes. The students wishing to tryout or just watch arrived at the Quidditch pitch. Ben was both Captain and Keeper and chose Kate to be Seeker and Michael to be Beater.
The Gryffindor's arrived and Lapidus said "Alright. To get started. Let's get to see if anyone can beat me. Don't worry Locke, Ana Lucia, Rousseau, and Eko will be judging and would like nothing more than to kick me off the team to become Captain, so, who wants to tryout. Anyone". No one volunteered and Lapidus said "Well, that's settled. This year's Gryffindor Seeker is me. Now, let's get our main three out of the way. Chaser's come forward". The Gryffindor's wanting to become Chaser's lined up and Lapidus said "As I've always said, it doesn't matter what you were last year or yesterday. This is everyone's chance to become on the team. I don't care about past loyalty. I care about Gryffindor, and I want it to win. It's the best house but for my entire school life, it hasn't achieved that. This year, that can all change and if we work together. I know we can do it. So, come on. Let's find our Chasers". The Chasers all went and after the final person went. Lapidus said "I'm proud of you all. I have no doubts about the talent in Gryffindor and that with hard work, we can win but I have to relegate to three. And they are Rousseau, Sayid, and our final member Sawyer". The crowd cheered and Lapidus said "I congratulate our three Chasers".
Lapidus said "Now for our Beaters". A lot less students stepped forward and only two others besides Eko and Ana Lucia stepped forward. Lapidus already knew that the other two didn't stand a chance and it didn't take long for Ana Lucia and Eko to shine and Lapidus said "That's enough. It's quite clear who our Beaters are. Our two previous Beaters, Eko and Ana Lucia. You still know how to work fantastically together out there, and the other houses should fear you".
Ana Lucia responded, "Thanks, we've been practicing over the summer".
Lapidus said "I can see that and am grateful for it". He then said "And I'd like to thank our other two Gryffindor's that tried out. You weren't bad by any stretch and I want to see you both back here next year". This was accepted as the students left and Lapidus said "Now, to defend our posts, the Keeper. Who wants to go against Locke. Come on, let's give our Locke some competition. He's held that spot since Second year". A fourth year stepped forward, but he was no match for Locke and couldn't defend a single thing while Locke defended everything. Everyone knew the results and Lapidus said "I give you, your Gryffindor team for this year. The year we win the cup". The Gryffindors cheered and Lapidus said "and I'd also like to announce our alternates, the people that came so close that I want you to be a part of the team and fill in if needed. First up, we have Jin". Lapidus named two other alternates and then everyone left proud of themselves for what they did today.
The Ravenclaw's went next, and the Captain and Keeper Richard chose Juliet, Sun, and Charlotte to be Chasers while Boone and Paulo were Beaters, and Desmond was Seeker.
Finally, the Hufflepuffs and Bernard was the Captain and Beater was alone so had to pick everyone. He was thankful that only one other person wanted to try for Beater and didn't have to have the people he just chose, judge him. On the team was Charlie as Seeker and Libby as Chaser.
30th September 2004
Lapidus came from Arithmancy with Daniel and as they entered the Great Hall, they Sawyer over by the Ravenclaw table, still in his Quidditch outfit talking to Juliet. He sighed and knew that despite his actual talent, he was just using this to pick up girls. Lapidus and Daniel went over to the Ravenclaw table and Sawyer said to Juliet "I know that it's not going to be long until we're matched up together but if you wanna come with me to Hogsmeade sometime than I won't go hard against you".
Lapidus was mad hearing this and grabbed Sawyer angrily and asked, "What are you doing".
Sawyer answered "Just asking the lady out, Captain. Or is that not allowed".
Lapidus answered "It is when you say, you're going to go easy on her in the competition".
Sawyer responded "I wasn't actually. It was just a line I said".
Juliet retorted "Oh really".
Sawyer said "I really want to go out with you though. It's just that I'm not going to let you win easy. It was something cute to say".
Juliet responded "Well, neither am I".
Sawyer asked "So, Saturday then".
Juliet said "Saturday, but since we're not going easy on each other. How about we go Dutch".
Sawyer smiled and said, "I can work with that". Lapidus then dragged Sawyer back to Gryffindor table.
During dinner Claire felt pain in her stomach and screamed. Charlie asked, "Claire what's wrong".
Claire answered "It's the baby. Something's wrong with the baby". Claire then looked down and said, "My water broke".
Charlie exclaimed "Oh dear".
Rose said, "We've got you dear". Rose and Libby immediately got up and help Claire. Rose said, "Don't worry we'll get you to the Hospital Wing".
Libby said "Charlie, go get professor Hawking".
Charlie responded, "On it" and ran off.
Libby told Hurley "Go help him". Hurley accepted and ran after Charlie. The entire Great Hall was in a panic and worried about Claire.
Charlie and Hurley arrived at professor Hawking's office and knocked loudly. Charlie screamed "Professor. Professor".
Professor Hawking opened the door and asked, "What is it Charlie".
Charlie answered "It's Claire. She's having the baby".
Professor Hawking exclaimed "Oh Merlin's beard. Where is she".
Hurley answered, "Libby and Rose are taking her to the Hospital Wing".
Professor Hawking responded "Good. I'll meet them there. You boys go back to the Great Hall and finish dinner".
Professor Hawking ran off and Charlie said to Hurely "You going back to the Great Hall".
Hurley answered "Nope".
Charlie said "Thought not. Let's go". Charlie and Hurley then ran off to the Hospital Wing.
Rose and Libby helped Claire inside and onto a bed and as she screamed Libby said "It's okay. We're here Claire and we're not leaving you. You don't have to do this alone".
The school's Healer came over and says "No she doesn't. We've been preparing this moment ever since your came to school honey. Now, I want you girls to get professor Hawking".
Libby answered "Already have. She's on her way. Charlie and Hurely are getting her".
School Healer responded "Good. Don't worry Miss Littleton, we'll have this baby out and in your arms in no time. Lucky it's one of the things that us and the muggles have in common".
Professor Hawking, Charlie and Hurley entered, and professor Hawking asked, "How are you feeling dear".
Claire answered, "Like there's an angry dragon inside me begging to get out".
School Healer said "Okay, take this. It'll stop you from feeling any pain".
Claire drunk the potion and immediately felt relaxed and calm.
1st October 2004
Everyone waited until the baby was ready and it was very early in the morning when the baby was ready and professor Hawking and the school Healer said "Okay, Claire, now push".
Claire cried "I can't. I can't. I can't be a mother. I know it won't want me. It knows that I don't want it, and he'll know. Babies know that stuff".
Professor Hawking said "It's okay Claire, You're okay. You can do whatever you feel is right, right after but right now, they need you to push and get them out".
Claire shook her head and professor Hawking said "Come on dear, you must. You have to Claire. Please listen to me. It's going to be okay".
Claire didn't listen and Charlie knowing he had to help rushed over and grabbed her hand. He told her "I'm not going to leave you Claire. I'm right here and never going to leave you. I know that you're scared but I know that you love him, and that you want him. I've seen you at night, how you caress your stomach, how you talk to him, you love him, and nothing will ever change that. Sure, you didn't know what to do but you want him. You want him now and to be his mother". Claire nodded and Charlie said "Then, he knows that as well. He's been there listening to us all along. He knows how perfect you are like I do, and he wants to meet you now, so help him out and be together. You ready, because I'm right here baby. I'm right here and I'm not going anywhere". Claire then nodded to Charlie.
The school Healer said "Okay, push Claire push". Claire pushed and she squeezed Charlie's hand as she did. She continued to push and felt better with Charlie's help and the school Healer said "That's it. That's it. You're doing great. It's coming. It's coming. I can see the head. Just a few more Claire. Just a few more".
Charlie said "Come on baby I know you can do it. I love you". Claire accepted and pushed as hard as she could.
The school Healer said "That's it. That's it. That's it. I've got him". Claire then felt the baby out and laid back. Claire heard the babies cries and the school Healer said "It's a boy Claire. You have a boy".
Claire looked up and said, "I have a son".
Professor Hawking wrapped the baby in a blanket and handed him to Claire. Claire hugged her newborn and exclaimed "I have a son. I have a son". She then looked at him and into his eyes and knew he was the most perfect and beautiful thing in the world. Claire then turned to Charlie and said with joy "Look Charlie. I have a son".
Charlie smiled at Claire and caressed the baby's head and told him "Hey little one. You have a perfect mum, and she means a lot to me, so you treat her right". Claire giggled at this.
Professor Hawking came over and asked, "Do you have a name for him yet".
Claire answered "Yeah, it's Aaron. My little Aaron". Claire then hugged him tighter. Everyone came closer to look at the baby.
Claire was led to the Great Hall and was immediately surrounded by everyone; they were all trying to get a look at Aaron. Professor Jacob came over and said "He's wonderful Claire. I know you'll be a great mother". He then said to Aaron "Welcome to Hogwarts, Aaron". Everyone congratulated Claire and tried to hold Aaron, but Claire rejected them.
Claire then sat down and before she ate, she passed Aaron to Charlie and said "Charlie, can you please look after him".
Charlie accepted and said, "Of course Claire, anything". Charlie held a sleeping Aaron and was happy to hold the baby in his arms and had already thought of a nickname for him, Turniphead, because his head looked like a turnip.
After dinner they went back to the Hufflepuff common room and sat down. All the attention was on Claire and Aaron as she sat and nursed him as he slept in her arms.
As the school year progressed, Claire was happy that she was not alone and had Charlie, the rest of Hufflepuff, and the school to help her with Aaron. Claire even re found her feelings for Charlie and seeing how much he changed and was there for her and Aaron really cemented their relationship. At the end of the year, she even invited him to come to Australia for the winter.
Gryffindor won the Quidditch cup despite Ben's best efforts to cheat but Kate stopped him and hindered Slytherin's chance to win because she was not going to win by cheating and for this act, it got her the points to win Slytherin the House cup.
