Dearest Sally in Inkwell Isle,
I know that the miss Marybel (As I call her and you named her Mary Jane) has finally been in your care. I say cheers to that. Better you than Devil the one they say is her Godfather. I wish to say it with a tone of malice because I really would hate to hear God and Devil in the same sentence. Poor little girl should have been brought up in the care of rather abusive nuns in an orphanage but sometimes we think God has other plans that he sees fit. I mourn the fact you were not brought up as "Godmother" in this now orphaned baby girl's life. I can also do you one better and say all I have said and seen. I stood there calmly. Think of me sweet salty Sally, with me in my good feel suit and a little girl aged 14 and we thought she was just along the month. The wellness of little kids is one that I know isn't really looked at anymore. Or was never looked at in any way possible. First, I think I would like to mention that when I arrived at town I was not well known. But then all of a sudden everyone looked into my ear and whispered the words of the lose good time big time harlot Chalice and clueless "we should have seen it coming" Cuphead and they were idiots in from the long before. Saltbaker I believe met with a social worker and then discussed matters with her and then everyone knew what was going on. What a huge scandal! They hadn't had one before in a long time. oh yes and the time that Chalice far along she received a doll broken in shape that of a baby girl. The Devil said it loud and clear that Chalice would grow up in a poorhouse with a bastard child. The doll attached with a gift basket to "care" for the newborn. I like to bet The Devil probably poisoned those items so as to not attract any other poor infant soul. Elizabeth, Chef's Granddaughter or Great-Granddaughter. Jane would have been a wonderful name to name the baby but Chalice had apparently insisted on something else. As the ink flows, the virgin adult Cuphead could have plead with The Devil to release his "wife". I was there when The Devil cried when his favorite prisoner in his Hell was turning out to be useless. If the girl ever survives past 30 make sure she is protected.
Regards, your friend Walter.
Dear Walter,
I agree. When the social worker tried to praise the devil I responded with: "Yet what about the other very promising prospects?" as in Saltbaker? The Devil has them under his spell. He shows up in a great deal of pretty. Not even my finest silk can cover up that unlashing lie underneath. I get why Elder Kettle wasn't considered. He was too stressed out to continue to care for another child. Youth fades by so fast and then you're left with nothing left. But Saltbaker wasn't even 70! Influence of his black magic I tell you!
Your friend, Sally Stageplay.
