Hunter's Return

March 21, Tipton Hotel, Viola Hall

As J and Kairi re-enters the hall they run into Johnny Bravo. The actor seeing them smiles and said "Oh, Miss. J! How are you?"

"Ah. Mr. Bravo. Have you been here the entire time?" J asked surprised to see him.

"Yeah." Johnny said nodding and admits "People connected to the murder aren't allowed to go home, let alone leave…"

"I see, well can you tell me a little more about the White Dino Ranger TV show?" J asked him.

"Okay." Johnny said nodding and explained. "'The White Dino Ranger' is an action hero program aimed towards kids. It's the sequel to 'The White Ranger'."

"I see…" J said following along with the explanation.

"This time, there are three Ranger brothers: Red Dino, Blue Dino…And of course, the White Dino Ranger. It's a love 'Y' in Circuit City!" Johnny continued to explain.

"I see…W-Wait…" J said in surprise "A love what…?"

"A love 'Y'." Johnny said smiling "This girl, Pauline, works at a tea shop and all three guys fall for her at the same time."

"Oh…I guess the 'Y' shape is like the 3 brothers colliding over this one girl?" J guessed thinking.

"Anyway, Pauline is actually the daughter of the evil Gangler crime organization's leader!" Johnny continued.

"Sounds like an unusual situation. Like Gnomeo and Juliet…times three." J said rubbing her head.

"Y-Yeah…" Johnny said in agreement. "Strange thing is, this sort of forbidden love story is really big with the office ladies."

"Um…" Kairi said speaking up.

"Yes, Kairi?" Johnny asked.

"Wh-What happens next?! I want to know!" Kairi speaks up eager. "Miss. Pauline…Does Miss. Pauline fall in love? She does, doesn't she?"

"Every Sunday at 8 AM." Johnny said proudly

"I'm going to stop watching 'Kids' Masterpiece Theatre' starting this week!" Kairi said determined.

'I can't believe she's really considering it!' J thinks sweat dropping. She then asked Johnny "So what's the 'Kamen Rider Hibiki' TV show like?"

"It started from a remake of an old movie, to tell you the truth." Johnny said thinking "The Kamen Riders, like the Ranger shows, is geared towards kids. It's a story of a Kamen Rider who can't scale a wall, but became a big rock star anyway."

"…Uh, what?" J said confused already.

"He was a really lousy fighter. Absolutely couldn't do any Kamen Rider things right at all." Johnny explained "But boy could he sing! With his trusty bright red Ongekibous in hand, he took the ancient world by storm."

"A…A ninja…With a bright red Ongekibous…?!" J said surprised.

"And then, the final fight in front of his beloved Princess Allura! 'Hibiki' versus the Makamou Five!' Suddenly! Our brave hero catches a not so rocking cold the night before Battle 3!" Johnny tells the two.

"Aww, that's too bad for him…" J said sadly.

"Y-Yeah…" Johnny said nodding "But this kind of rock music-based love story is something high school girls really like."

"Um…" Kairi said speaking up again.

"Yes, Kairi?" Johnny asked.

"Wh-What happens next?! I want to know!" Kairi speaks up eager. "Hibiki…The Kamen Rider Hibiki! Will he be able to sing?! What about Princess Allura?!"

"Every Sunday at 8 AM." Johnny said proudly

Kairi looks down and said thinking "Umm…Which should should I watch…? Hmmm…."

'I can't believe she's really considering it!' J thinks. She the presents Blake's profile to Johnny.

Seeing it Johnny said "Hey, that's Miss. Belladonna! She's Akechi's manager. Actually, I was interested in her for a little bit. Just a little…"

'Hmmm…So Mr. Bravo likes this type of woman…' J thinks and asked "What do you know about Miss. Belladonna…?"

"Well, see…Here's the thing." Johnny said thinking "I don't really KNOW her know her…You know?" Kairi looks surprised at this. He the added "There's a sort of small rumor going around about her right now…"

"A rumor…?" Kairi said to that.

"Ah! If you're interested, I'd be glad to share what I know!" Johnny said proudly.

'He's so happy, he looks like a lion that's just found his next meal…' J thinks to herself. She then asked "Would you mind telling me about this 'gossip'?"

"Ah, so you ARE interested in it! I figured you would be!" Johnny said smiling.

"Yeah." J said nodding.

"I have such a weakness for celebrity gossip, too." Johnny tells her.

"O-Oh really…You too, huh…?" J said awkwardly

"Yeah. So take a look at this!" Johnny said handing J a newspaper clipping.

'Looks like a tabloid Mr. Pines would read…' J thinks taking it "Alright, let's see here…'Hibiki's Midnight Rendezvous?!'

"…to the mysterious, yet beautiful manager to the stars, Miss. B. B.!" Johnny said nodding. "…Y-You see now, don't you?"

"What…?" J said confused.

"You can stop pretending to be in the dark, Miss. J!" Johnny said proudly. "Alejandro didn't have a manager of his own. Which means if we're talking about a certain manager with the initials B. B…"

J thinks about it and realized it "…Blake Belladonna…?"

"Y-Yes, exactly! This is big news!" Johnny said nodding.

'But…It seems kind of odd. That woman Miss. Belladonna…Together with the biggest rival of her client…?' J thinks on it.

"Ah, it's that wonderful thing that can only happen between two people…" Johnny said smiling.

"Mr. Bravo looks so happy." Kairi said happily.

'Kairin is just following along, not having any idea as to why he's smiling…' J thinks at that.

"Well, like the saying goes, one man's garbage is another man's treasure." Johnny said rubbing his head.

J nods and adds the Magazine Clipping to her Court Record. She then thinks she has enough to smash through Todd's Psyche-Locks heads back to the hallway.

J and Kairi arrive back at the hallway, they see Todd still here. J gets her Logic Solver keyring with the Toa Ranger keyring attached and presents it "Take that!" The Logic Solver Keyblade appears but changed a bit, now it had black and gold trimming along the blade from the Toa Ranger keyring.

J was surprised but had to focus as the chains and two Psyche-Locks appear. J had to figure out what the 'Big Scoop' was Todd has and said "Todd, will you please answer my questions? On the night of the murder, why were you loitering around the victim's room?"

"I told you, didn't I? For my scoop!" Todd said firmly.

"What I want to know about are the details of this 'scoop'." J told him.

"Th-That's not something I can tell you." Todd said a bit nervous. "I mean that there's my bread and butter…"

"Alright then. An unpleasant tabloid photographer looking for a scoop…I'm going to say that you were looking into a scandal." J said thinking about this that got a reaction from Todd.

"Grr!" Todd lets out.

"Could it be that you, Todd Snap, were looking for a break with a huge story?" J asked him. "Perhaps an unfounding scandal between Alejandro and this person…?" She then presents Blake's profile "Take that!"

"Th-This woman…" Todd said in shock.

"She's Blake Belladonna, Goro Akechi's manager." J tells Todd, who muffle grunts at this "The White Dino Ranger's manager, caught secretly meeting with his rival, Kamen Rider Hibiki. It would be the hottest story of the season, wouldn't it?" She fires a beam from her keyblade destroying the right Psyche-Lock.

"You're pretty good at this guessing thing, Miss. Lawyer." Todd said looking away but smiles looking back saying "But you can't just make up any old thing and think it'll make the papers. You got to have backup."

"Backup…?" J asked confused.

"Yeah, yeah." Todd said smiling nodding "You got to have that…that…what's it… 'newsauce'…?"

"…Um, you mean, 'news source'…?" J points out

"That's it!" Todd said nodding "So show me something that shows that Alejandro guy had something with Miss. Belladonna!"

"Take that!" J lets out as she shows Todd the Magazine clipping and said "This is the article from a certain weekly tabloid. 'Hibiki's Midnight Rendezvous?!'…to the mysterious, yet beautiful manager to the starts, Miss. B. B.!"

"…Aaah!" Todd lets out at that.

"Mr. Alejandro didn't have a manager of his own." J explained "What's more, his rival, Mr. Akechi's manager…Blake Belladonna…She has the initials B. B.! You saw this article and then thought to take some pictures of them as proof. That's why you were lurking around Mr. Alejandro's door last night!"

"Waaaaaaah!" Todd lets out at that as J's Logic Solver Keyblade destroys the last Psyche-Lock and unlock was successful.

J sighs in relief as they return to the real world and she said "You were looking into Mr. Alejandro and Miss. Belladonna's affair, weren't you?"

"You got it!" Todd said smiling "I was going to get myself a scoop by catching them in a secret meeting!"

"But there's already an article about it in one of the weekly tabloid magazines…" J points out to him. "It's no longer breaking news."

"What did you just say?!" Todd said glaring at her "Her initials are 'B. B.' What kind of vague thing is that?! That ain't no proof of nothing! People are going to want to see real proof! Well, at least I do. So what's what I was doing! Getting photos!"

"Oh…" Kairi said understanding a bit.

"I'm going to whip up the reader's interest with some gossip and a little misleading." Todd said smiling. "Then spice it up a little and have myself an exclusive story!"

'Wow, Todd, nice journalistic integrity you got there…' J thinks sarcastically

"I already finished writing up my spicy article, you know." Todd tells the two. "But…" J looks curious as Todd looks down sad "The paper I wrote it on, my note to myself, it's gone."

"Your note to yourself?" Kairi asked confused.

"It was inside the case of my 1,600 credit camera." Todd tells them. "They done run off together. I came here for my big story! Didn't come here to have my treasure disappear on me!"

"Y-Yeah, I understand…" J said sweat dropping.

"It's enough to make a guy go bonkers, I tell you!" Todd said to them both annoyed "What's with people now, anyway?! I never thought I'd see the day when someone done steal something from me."

"You really want that note back, huh…?" J asked him and thought 'I've got no idea why though. The story on the note is probably a bold faced lie…' She updates the court record entry on Todd's Camera.

She and Kairi then leave for the entrance, time to see what Stan was hiding.

When meeting back up with Stan J again presents her Logic Solver Keychain and said "Take that!" Her keyblade is summoned and the world darkens as the chains and four Pysche-Locks. Time to find out from Stan 'What You Witnessed'

"Alright, I'll be honest with you for now." Stan tells J.

"Then, please! Tell us what you saw!" J said to him.

"But, aww, what a waste." Stan said with a fake sincere smile "And here I have a perfectly good chance to have a little fun at you young peoples expense. I AM a little devil, after all."

'Um…Doesn't that imply you aren't a good person…?' J thinks concerned. She then said "Alright, I'll give you what you want…" She presents Stan the Autograph with his name on it "Take that!"

"Th-Th-That's! That's Alejandro's autograph!" Stan said in shock.

"Yes, it is." J said nodding.

"And…And it even says, 'To my good pal Standly' on it!" Stan said in surprise. "Th-That's me, rightr?! Right?!"

"Um…" J said thinking.

"My name is Stanly Pines, so that 'Stanly' has to be me, right?!" Stan explained.

'Well, it may say 'Stanley'…But somehow, I don't think Alejandro had THIS 'Stanly' in mind when he sighed it…' J thinks about it

"Oh please, give it to me! Let me have it! Please!" Stan begs to J

"Uh, uh. I can't let you have it, just like that." J tells him.

"Yes, Yes, I know." Stan said sighing annoyed "Then how about an exchange?!"

Suddenly J jolts with the Keyblade that fires three beams destroying three of the Psyche-Locks. Surprised she thinks 'Wow, he must really want this autograph…'

"My offer isn't good enough for you?! Fine, Miss. J. You win." Stan said firmly "Stanly Pines, ready to open his heart! All for my good buddy Alejandro!"

With that J's Logic Solver Keyblade destroys the last Psyche-Lock making the unlock successful. Then after returning to the real world, J gives Stan the Autograph removing it from her Court Record.

"I feel bad for you now." Stan said grinning

"Huh…?" J said.

"I tell you, I saw him that night." Stan said "I saw him coming out of Alejandro's room."

"You're kidding!" J said shocked.

"Oh no!" Kairi said surprised.

"It was about ten minutes before Alejandro's body was discovered." Stan points out. "It was just a coincidence. I was on my way to the restroom, minding my own business."

"And…? Did you tell that to the police troopers?" J asked him concerned.

"Well, of course! I thought I could get a gift certificate or two out of it, maybe more." Stan said grinning.

"Gift certificate…?" Kairi asked at that.

"I've been recruited again for that part at the trial. You know, the trial tomorrow?" Stan tells J grinning and smirks "This time, you're going to get it! I'm going to work hard to get your client pronounced guilty!"

"But Mr. Akechi hasn't done anything bad…" Kairi said to that.

"I don't care about details like that! I know he did my dear poor buddy Alejandro in! I just do!" Stan said in anger. "That yellow-bellied chicken!"

"A yellow-bellied chicken…? I wonder what that would look like…" Kairi said thinking.

"I trust my senses." Stan said "I know when someone did something bad, and I say he did it!"

'What did Mr. Akechi ever do to him to deserve this…?' J thinks so she asked "What did Mr. Akechi do to you to make you so…"

"You don't know?!" Stan asked surprised "That guy! He framed my Alejandro! He created that scandal that plagued poor Alejandro!"

"Miss. J!" Kairi said hearing that

"Wh-What is it?" J asked her.

"What's a 'skan-dal'?" Kairi asked confused.

"Oh…Um, I'll tell you about that after we get home, okay?" J said sweat dropping.

"Poor Alejandro, let astray by the wiles of that vile kitty temptress…" Stan said in anger.

"Miss. J…What do 'viles' and 'wile kitty temptress' mean…?" Kairi asked confused.

"Ack!" J lets out at that. "Um, how about we just listen to what Mr. Pines has to say for now, okay Kairin?" She then turns back to the old man and asked "So, Mr. Pines. Who is this 'woman' you're talking about…?"

"…Blake Belladonna, of course! Who else?!" Stan said in anger. "That guy, he shoved the girl onto Alejandro on purpose!"

"His own manager? But why…?" J asked him.

"I thought lawyers were smart especially robotic ones!" Stan states "It was to create a scandal to make Alejandro lose face! That girl drove Alejandro into a scandal that dragged his reputation though the mud!"

'Sounds like a pretty standard definition of a scandal to me…' J thinks to herself. She then asked, "Why do you know about that anyway, Mr. Pines?"

"I'm one of Alejandro's biggest fans!" Stan said smiling "I'm always out there gathering information! There's nothing I don't know!"

"And do you have proof that Mr. Akechi did what you say he did…?" J asked him.

"Next week's issue of a certain magazine says so!" Stan said smiling.

'Ugh…Of couse. A tabloid…' J thinks mentally sighing.

"Next week…Doesn't that mean it's something people don't know about yet…?" Kairi asked confused.

'Why would Mr. Pines have information like that…? And where did he get it…?' J thinks about it, how does he know.

Stan chuckles and smirks. Not sure how to get him to talk J decides it is time to leave this for now. She and Kairi decide to head for the Criminal Affairs Department of the Police Troopers station to discuss more with N.

March 21, Police Troopers Station, Criminal Affairs Dept.

J and Kairi walk in to see many of the troopers not their but she could see some troopers working at their desks. J was last here during the whole situation with the Nijima sisters but the place has hardly changed.

"Detective N said they had an investigation briefing…" J said looking around.

"Yeah…" Kairi said nodding and looks up "Oh! He's back!"

Indeed N walks up and smiles as he approaches them and said "Hey, so you came, buddy."

"Why the blunt greeting?" J asked him.

"Um, because there's nothing to be friendly or happy about." N said sadly.

"What do you mean by that?" J asked confused.

"Well, things look perfect this time around." N explained "The evidence and testimony are airtight…"

"But…But…We can't just roll over and die! We have to stay positive!" J said shaking. "So what do you mean the evidence is airtight…?"

"I can't give you all the details, buddy, but there's two big pieces." N said sadly.

"T-Two?!" Kairi said sadly looking down.

"And both of them are in this photo." N said and shows the Crime photo "The first is the button that's missing from the victim's chest."

"Hmm…That's the button that you found during your body search of Mr. Akechi…" J said looking at the image.

"Yup. I found it in the folds of the White Dino Ranger's belt." N said nodding.

"Um…Uh…And the second one is…?" J asked nervous.

"The knife in his chest, buddy." N said simply and explained "The fingerprints on the knife in his chest, to be exact."

"Fingerprints…? Um…Whose are they?" Kairi asked worried.

"You didn't even have to ask, little missy. It's obvious. They're Goro Akechi's." N tells her sadly.

J thinks to herself worried 'Tomorrow's trial…Talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard place…' She then ask "So what about this 'airtight testimony'…?"

"It's that old security guy, Mr. Pines." N said looking down.

"I thought so…" J said sighing.

"What do you mean, you thought so?" N asked confused "Did he tell you something, buddy?"

"Um, well…" J said rubbing her head.

"And I even told him not to open that mouth of his and blab to anyone…" N said sighing.

'His blab knob is stuck on ten, and there's no turning it down…Trust me.' J thinks on that.

"Yeah, well…Mr. Pines saw it all, buddy." N tells J sadly "He saw Mr. Akechi come out of the victim's room around the estimated time of death."

Kairi gasped at that "N-No way!"

J then presents the Magazine Clipping to N. Upon seeing it N said "We're pretty interested in that bit of gossip ourselves."

"The scandal with Mr. Alejandro? But why?" J asked confused.

"Well, two years ago…A woman committed suicide." N tells them surprising J.

"Suicide…" Kairi said also shocked.

N shows the two the image of a woman with blonde haired woman with yellow glasses and green eyes and said "Her name was Miss Mayberry. And she was Alejandro's manager."

"The victim's manager…?" J asked at that.

"But that's not all, buddy." N said smiling. "Miss Mayberry was Miss. Blake Belladonna's mentor…She taught Miss. Belladonna everything she knew about the business from square one."

"Her mentor…" Kairi said thinking on it.

'A woman who was both Mr. Alejandro's manager and Miss. Belladonna's mentor…' J said thinking on it 'Could her suicide have something to do with this case…?'

"Do you want to know more about her, buddy?" N asked J who nods. He then explained "She was the victim's manager and was also Miss. Blake Belladonna's mentor. It's been two years since her suicide, and now those two are linked again by another death." Suddenly there was a beeping down "Or maybe it's just a coincidence…but…" He was then whipped and collapses onto the ground.

Courtney then arrives with a sigh and her Camerupt. She then said "I'm getting sick of dealing with one foolish idiot after another…"

"M-M-Miss. Wittebane!" N said nervous from the floor.

"You can't seem to stop allying yourself with the enemy, can you?" Courtney asked N annoyed "I don't need a traitor in my midst."

N standing up in shock said "Y-Y-You don't…You don't mean…"

"I do. Labrador." Courtney said with a glare. "You have thirty minutes to get out of here. You are no longer needed. Good bye."

"Th-That's…" Kairi said angry.

"W-Wait…Please wait, sir!" N begged. "If I don't get this month's pay, I'll…"

"Quiet!" Courtney told him. "If it weren't for traitors like you…"

"'I would've won.' Is that what you want to say?" A voice said.

The voice was familiar to J and Courtney, the latter surprised said "…! Wh-Who?!"

"That voice…" J said, and they look and see escorted by two Law Purge Troopers in his full Golden Guard mask included was someone they haven't seen a long time. J trembles and said "H-Hunter!"

"It's been a long time…J." Hunter said removing his mask, his Yellow Toa Ranger keyring hung on his white cloak.

"Th-This person…This is Mr. Deamonne?" Kairi asked surprised.

"What am I going to do with you…?" Hunter said to Courtney sighing "Still blaming others when things go wrong? You haven't changed a bit, Courtney." Camerupt comes up to him and he pets it.

Courtney remains silent but lets out "…Y…You…How dare you show your face to me without a shred of shame upon it?! You've soiled the Wittebane name, dragged it though the mud…" She whips the ground "You even ran away with your tail between your legs like the ill-bred dog you are!"

"Are you talking about the Wittebane family creed? 'To be perfect in every way…'" Hunter asked her "Then let's hear it, Courtney. How are things going?" He grins at her "I hear you are having a rough time maintaining perfection in this country."

"Y-You!" Courtney said visibly annoyed

"You seme to be getting crushed under the weight of it all." Hunter says to her and smiles "That's why I came back."

"Keep your assumptions to yourself!" Courtney told him. "I…I haven't given in yet! I won't lose! This case is mine! I'll never hand it over to you! Never!" She whips the ground and looks at J "Miss. Serial Designation J! I will see you tomorrow…In court. It will be a clinical lesson on the meaning of 'total victory'!" She then leaves her Camerupt following her.

"Hmph. Still the same wild Rapidash she always was." Hunter said nodding.

J remains silent still recovering the surprise in seeing Hunter again, alive even. She then said in a loud voice "I thought you, the prosecutor Hunter Deamonne, had gone and died!"

"Miss. J!" Kairi said surprised.

"I…I never wanted to see you again!" J said shuddering tears forming in her LED eyes.

"I think that's enough of a 'warm welcome' for someone you haven't seen in a year…" Hunter tells her, one of his Law troopers hands J a tissue which she uses.

"Are you going to run tomorrow's trial…?" J asked him wiping the digital tears out her eyes.

"…You heard her, right?" Hunter asked "That wild Rapidash hasn't given in yet, it seems. So, no, I don't think I'll be making an appearance." Kairi watches on as Hunter added Your hared for me is quite unhealthy. Not to mention one-sided. But I will say one thing…" J listens to him as he said "You can't win on your own at the trial tomorrow."

'What's that supposed to mean…?' J thinks confused.

"I have something definitive that you lack." Hunter said eyes closed. "And working together is the definition of teamwork. It's the power to find the truth."

"'The truth'…?" J said to that.

"In order to understand this case, you have to understand a certain 'truth'." Hunter tells J. "…Well, if you ever feel the need for my assistance, it is available to you. I'm not in charge of this case, so I can be a bit more generous with information."

'Just what is going on inside his head…?' J thinks confused.

"A lot of thigs may have happened, however Phillip Wittebane or Belos if you prefer was still my mentor." Hunter said with a nod. "And a 'perfect win record' is proof of a Wittebane."

"…One year ago, you could not establish guilt in a few case…" J said to him and asked "Are those losses the reason you suddenly disappeared from the Prosecutor Office? Did you leave because you had lost your 'perfect win record'…?" Hunter stayed silent. The drone glares adding "To think your motivation for prosecuting trials was so selfish…It'd been better for everyone if you never came back from the dead, Hunter!"

Hunter winces a bit but then smiles and said "I see. Then let me ask you something." He then asked serious "Why do YOU stand in the courtroom? What is your reason?"

J was caught off guard at that and said "Well, with Courtney, she almost always says, 'I will defeat you this time!' the instant she sees me. But…The courtroom is not a personal battlefield for prosecutors and lawyers. I stand in the courtroom to defend my client…To save their lives."

"To save your client, you say?" Hunter asked smiling

"Those who think only of their own ego-driven goals…Those kind of prosecutors are reprehensible to me." J said shaking her head. "Even if you're a 'prodigy'…Or someone like you, Hunter…"

Hunter looking at her sighs shaking his head and said "It looks like there is still a lot you have yet to learn."

"'A lot I have yet to learn'? Me…?" J said surprised

"…Hmph." Hunter looks away "Well, that's enough for now. The time when you will see is coming soon enough…" J then presents Mayberry's profile to Hunter who looks serious and said "Hmm…This woman is another key to solving this case."

"D-Do you really think so?" J asked him.

"She was Blake Belladonna's mentor a long time ago, but she was suddenly called away by a different show, and became Alejandro's manager." Hunter explained. "And then, a few months later…Mayberry died."

"B-But her death was ruled a suicide, right?" J asked him shocked.

"Yes." Hunter said nodding "but there is still one riddle we've yet to solve…"

"A riddle…?" J asked.

"Her suicide note." Hunter said simply "It went missing. No one could find it."

'A suicide note that just vanished, huh…' J thinks on it.

"Miss. Mayberry's death was most certainly a suicide. Of that there is no mistake." Hunter tells J. "however, we could not find her suicide note. That's when the police troopers began to suspect that someone had hidden it."

"The suicide note? But how do you know Miss. Mayberry had even written such a note?" J asked thinking.

"There was no solid evidence, however…We did find traces of ink on her right index finger" Hunter explains to her. "Which makes the likelihood of a suicide note very high."

"But who would hide such a thing…?" J asked him.

"The police troopers think it was Mr. Alejandro himself." Hunter tells her.

"Th-The victim…?" J said surprised.

We then see a flashback image of two years ago, Alejandro looking shocked as he sees Mayberry hanging from the ceiling.

Hunter explained "He was the one who found her body. Which makes him the only person who had a chance to hide her suicide note."

'Mr. Alejandro hid his own manager's suicide note…? But why…?' J thinks on this new info.

"As long as her note is missing, any speculation beyond this is meaningless…" Hunter tells J and motions one of his law troopers who pulls out an envelope to hand to J "For now, I think you should look this over. This is the suicide report….Part one anyway…"

'Part one…?' J thinks taking it and looks it over and adds Suicide Report to her Court Record all it details was the victim Mayberry, the Alejandro found the body and asking if the note was hidden. She presents it to Hunter.

"I don't like to look though reports." Hunter explained to J. "I like suicide reports even less. Worse of all are the reports that have multiple parts like that one. That has two."

"…Two parts?" J said surprised at that.

"What you just handed me is the first part of the report…Here is the second part." Hunter said and motions the other Law trooper to hand over the second part

J takes it and looks at it 'The second part of the report is about an attempted suicide…' She then said shocked "The attempter's name…! It's 'Blake Belladonna'!"

"M-Miss Belladonna…? Um, what did she do?" Kairi asked surprised.

"She…She tried to kill herself…?" J tells her still shocked. "She doesn't seem like the kind of person to try to kill herself, though…"

"You think she's a strong career woman?" Hunter said sighing "That's just what she wants you to think. Blake Belladonna…She has a certain secret she's always trying to hide."

"A secret…?" Kairi asked.

"…Her 'dependant nature'. That's what she's really like on the inside." Hunter tells them.

'Miss. Belladonna? 'Dependent'…? Talk about the exact opposite of what that woman is…' J thinks on it. She then asked Hunter "What's this about Miss. Belladonna having a 'dependant nature'?"

"Blake Belladonna's attempt at suicide…was a few days after the death of Mayberry." Hunter tells her.

"And…?" J asked not getting it.

"And why did Blake Belladonna think about committing suicide…?" Hunter asked her then answered looking serious "Because she had apparently 'lost her will to live.'"

"Lost her will…? But why would she…?" J asked confused

"Her pillar of strength, her mentor Mayberry, was gone forever. That's why." Hunter tells her.

"Wh-Why would that…?" J asked shocked and confused.

"Is this why they call, 'following someone to the grave'…?" Kairi asked looking down.

"After her attempted suicide, Blake Belladonna started attending counselling sessions." Hunter explained to them holding his arm looking away. "She is someone who needs a person in whom she can trust absolutely. And once she finds that person, she'll do anything she can to keep them near. Without such an anchor in her life, her crippling anxiety stifles her ability to live."

J's eyes widen and she said "And that's…that's the nature of her dependency on others?"

"When Mayberry suddenly committed suicide, the world before her turned pitch black…That's according to Blake Belladonna herself." Hunter tells J.

"Then…That means her super-confident attitude…" J said surprised.

"It's all a façade." Hunter finished the sentence nodding. "She's only copying her mentor's behaviour to hold herself together."

'How terrible…' J thinks about it. She adds Attepmted Suicide Report to her court record.

J then says goodbye to Hunter and leaves for the Hotel, now it was time to break Blake's Psyche-Locks and find what she is hiding.

March 21, Tipton Hotel, Akechi's Hotel Room

As the two walk in, they see Blake was in the room, Kairi smiling said "…Oh! Miss. Belladonna is here. But it looks like she's talking with someone…"

J looks and her LED eyes widen as she thinks 'That's…. Courtney Wittebane!'

"Miss. Wittebane…?" Kairi said surprised as she also sees her.

Courtney seeing them approaches the two annoyed and asked J "What are you doing here?!"

"Um, well, you see…I'm his lawyer, so…" J said a bit nervous.

"You've got some nerve, following me around…" Courtney said smirking.

"Following you…?" J asked confused.

"Th-That's you, Miss. Wittebane! You're the one doing the following!" Kairi tells her.

"Kairin…" J said to that.

"You're always following after that Mr. Detective Drone." Kairi explained.

"…Me? Following after Labrador…? Don't make me laugh." Courtney said chuckling as she pulls out a remote that makes the familiar beeping noise "Let me show you something interesting…little girl."

"Wh-What is that?" Kairi asked curious.

"An electromagnetic receiver." Courtney tells her and explained "I planted a tracking device on that detective. And with this, I know that fool's every move."

'So that noise we heard was this receiver…I feel really sorry for poor Detective N now…' J thinks on this.

Courtney puts the receiver away and said "Now then…Let's stop wasting time." She looks over to Blake "Blake Belladonna!"

"Y-Yes…?" Blake said caught off guard.

"Think hard about what we just discussed. Understood?!" Courtney tells her.

"A-Alright…" Blake said with a nod and thinks as she twirls around the card while Courtney leaves the room.

'What were those two talking about…?' J thinks

"Miss. Belladonna…She seems a little dazed, doesn't she?" Kairi said to J.

J nods and presents her Logic Solver Keychain and said "Take that!" The world darkens and the Logic Solver Keyblade enhanced by her Toa Ranger Keychain is summoned and the world darkens as the chains appear and locked in place by Four Psyche-Locks. Time to figure out the 'Motive for Murder'

"Why was Alejandro murdered?" J asked Blake. "If you ask me, I think you know the reason he was killed."

"Hmm…" Blake lets out thinking.

"Why are you hiding things?" J asked. "Don't you realize you're putting Mr. Akechi's life in danger by your actions?"

Blake then said "Why do you ask questions for which I have no answers? The truth is, I was not that close to Mr. Alejandro."

"You were not that close…?" J asked her.

"That's right." Blake said nodding "I've never been good at being intimate with another person."

"You are not good at being intimate with another person? Somehow I highly doubt that." J said and then presents to Blake the Magazine Clipping "Take that! You and Mr. Alejandro had an intimate relationship, did you not…?"

Blake looks at it and rolls her eyes and twirls the card and said "A silly third-rate tabloid article. If you even had half your wits about you, you wouldn't believe such rubbish."

"Well, it seems quite a few people have already bought into this story." J tells her.

"Hmph. As to be expected in a world filled with crooks and liars." Blake said sighing shaking herself.

'…Note to self: Stay on her good side.' J thinks to herself.

"In any case, I despise interpersonal relationships like that." Blake explained.

"I see…However…What if there was a need for you to get close to someone…?" J asked Blake.

"Me? Need to get close to Mr. Alejandro? As if there was ever such a need." Blake said shaking her head.

"Didn't you get close to Mr. Alejandro for this person's sake…?" J said and presents Mayberry's profile "Take that! Mayberry, your mentor."

"How do you know about Mayberry?!" Blake asked at that, a bit shaken. J fires a beam from her Keyblade at the right most Psyche-Lock, only three left.

"Miss. Mayberry…. She committed suicide, didn't she?" J asked her but Blake remains silent "But it looks like no one knows why." At that Blake gets visibly nervous and sweats as J continues "Right before her death, she was Alejandro's manager. So, I believe you got close to Mr. Alejandro so you could find out more about her suicide."

"…Y-You have a great imagination." Blake tells J composing herself "You may have a future yet as a slimy muckraker for a putrid third-rate tabloid!"

"M-Miss. Belladonna…?" J said surprised.

"Th-There was no mystery surrounding her death. None." Blake explained. "It would be pointless for me to force myself into a relationship for nothing!"

'Is that really true…? Was there really no mystery at all?' J thinks to herself but shakes her head and said "I don't believe you were completely at ease with the way her suicide was resolved!" She then presents the Suicide Report "Take that!...Miss. Mayberry's suicide note was never found, was it?" Blake looks surprised at that. J then said "It looks like the police were under the suspicion that someone had hidden it. Like maybe the person who discovered her body, Mr. Alejandro."

"A…Alejandro?" Blake said stunned.

"And, Miss. Belladonna, I believe you thought the same thing! That is why you became intimate with Mr. Alejandro!" J tells her and fires a beam from her keyblade destroying the left most Psyche-Lock, halfway done.

Blake unnerved and sweating nervous said "I-I've say by quietly and listened to your insulting ramblings long enough!" J remains quiet "It's true that Mayberry was my mentor, however, allow me to say this again: It had nothing to do with me! I didn't even know that her suicide note was never found! I'm a person who doesn't care about what goes on in the lives of others!"

'That's the impression you like to give, however…' J thinks and said to Blake "I don't think that's who you really are."

"What?" Blake said surprised.

"I have evidence that says otherwise." J tells her "This is the proof that Mayberry was someone very special to you…" She the presents the Attempted Suicide Report. "Take that! Miss. Belladonna…You…You nearly went through with it too, didn't you?"

"Went through with what?" Blake asked her.

"Ending your life." J said and Blake looks away nervous. "Miss. Belladonna, you look and act like a very strong woman who has it all together. You don't ask for anyone's help, relying only on yourself."

"Y-Yes. I've been very independent ever since I can remember…" Blake said shaking.

"However, that is all just a lie. A façade." J tells her and Blake looks surprised "You've always searched out people on whom you can depend on."

"Th-That's…!" Blake said trying to counter that.

"You were dependent on Miss. Mayberry, weren't you?" J asked her. "Which is why…When she passed away, you lost everything you had."

"S-Stop!" Blake called out and J fires a beam from he Keyblade destroying the Psyche-Lock on the right, leaving only one. Blake clenches her book and says "When Mayberry passed away so suddenly like that…I died a death of my own. But…No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't stop thinking about what had become of her note."

"You must have heard about the police trooper report…The one that said the police troopers suspected Mr. Alejandro of hiding Miss. Mayberry's note…" J said thinking. "You heard about it, and thought to recover it from him by getting close, am I right?" Blake sweats and J added "If that's the case, then everything changes."

"Wh-What do you mean?" Blake asked her.

"What topic did we start this conversation on again?" J asked her.

"It was 'why was the victim'…" Blake said sweating.

"Exactly." J said nodding. "Somehow, Miss. Belladonna…It seems that you have become the one with a reason to want Mr. Alejandro dead…"

"M-Me…?" Blake said surprised.

"Miss. Mayberry was everything to you." J explained "…And then she died. And you would do anything to find out why she killed herself." Blake sweats nervous "…Even commit murder."

"Murder…?!" Blake said surprised as J fires a beam from the Keyblade destroying the last lock, making it Unlock Successful. Blake sighs looking down sadly and said "It's true. I'm a Faunus woman who can only live in insecurity. I'm physically small, and I don't really have a lot of self-confidence. I've pushed against all that, though…I've tried to live strongly. I never wanted anyone to find out the truth…"

"Miss. Belladonna…" Kairi said sadly feeling sorry for her.

"The one thing…It's the one thing I wanted to take with me to the grave…" Blake admits. "It was my secret. Mine and mine alone."

"I…I'm sorry." J said looking down.

"You probably think I'm a worthless faunus being right now, don't you?" Blake asked J.

"Please, Miss. Belladonna. All I want to know is the truth." J tells her.

"After Mayberry passed away, I heard that someone had hidden her suicide note…" Blake explained "And that someone was Alejandro. Mayberry…Without her…Without her, I became scared. Everything…Everyone seemed like they were out to get me."

"So, you got close to Mr. Alejandro to recover her suicide note, correct?" J asked her.

Blake remains silent then said "Looks like that tabloid reported the truth after all. Ironic, isn't it?"

"Well, like they say, where there's smoke, there's fire." J said with a nod.

"And if they purposely add fuel to the fire, they keep the celebrity world burning." Blake adds on, Kairi remains quiet listening as Blake said "But as for the suicide note? I didn't and wouldn't kill anyone for it. It just doesn't suit me, that's all…Well, that's enough for now. I still have work to do, so…"

"I understand." J said nodding.

"Oh, I have one small favor to ask." Blake said twirling the card "My…attempted suicide…I'd like for you to keep it a secret."

"Miss. Belladonna…" Kairi speaks up.

"If…If people found out about my weakness…" Blake said looking down. "I…I would sooner choose to die than live."

"A-A-Alright! I understand!" J said nodding "We'll keep it a secret!" She then thinks 'Miss. Belladonna…I guess she's the overthinking type…She probably never says anything without carefully thinking it though first.'

"Thank you for your discretion." Blake said nodding.

"Miss. J…Can I ask you something…?" Kairi said looking at J.

"What is it?" J asked.

"Miss. Belladonna has been playing with that card in her hand since a little while back…" Kairi points out.

'That card…? Yeah, I guess she has…' J said looking at the card in Blakes hand so asked "Miss. Belladonna, what is that card you're holding…?"

"Huh? O-Oh, this?" Blake said showing the card with the dragon emblem on it "I don't quite know. It just suddenly appeared in my bag…"

J looks at it "What is it? It looks like some kind of…. dragon?"

"That's what it looks like, doesn't it?" Blake said nodding. "I honestly don't remember owning this card…I wonder where I picked it up from…?"

'Her not remembering something clearly? Sounds like it would be a rare occurrence.' J thinks on it.

"Well, I must be off." Blake tells J and Kairi "I leave Mr. Akechi in your 'capable' hands." She then leaves.

Having no more need to be in the room, J and Kairi exit into the hallway

March 21, Tipton Hotel, Hallway

After arriving into the hallway J said to Kairi "Well, I think we've gathered about all we can…"

"Wh-What about Master Jaden? Is he alright…?" Kairi asked concerned.

'Oh, Kairin…She looks so worn out by all this…' J thinks concerned seeing her look tired. 'She hasn't slept at all, and has been walking all over the place with me today…'

"What's wrong, Miss. J?" Kairi asked smiling.

"Let's go back to the office for a little while. You're really tired, right?" J said to her.

"Oh no!" Kairi gasped and said "I'm okay. Really! … I'm fine. I really am."

'You don't look fine to me…' J thinks concerned.

The two head back to the office.

March 21, J & Co. Law Offices.

As soon as they got back, J gets herself some oil and sits on the couch. Kairi then asked holding some juice "So! What now?"

"Well, we did find one thing out for sure. Miss. Belladonna has a motive." J said sipping her oil.

"You mean Miss. Mayberry's suicide note…?" Kairi asked.

"That's right. She was also the one to discover the victim's body." J said nodding "Clever…" Just then the Radio Transceiver goes off.

"Ah! Miss. J! The transceiver!" Kairi said surprised

J answers it and said "Hello?! J & Co. Law Offices!"

"…Miss. Attorney, you're not answering a phone." The famialr voice of Deathstroke said on the over end.

"J-Jaden! Where's Jaden?!" J asked him.

"As I promised, I have not gone within a few feet of him this whole time." Deathstroke tells her.

"Phew…" Kairi said sighing in relief.

"…Which is why, I suppose, he is absolutely famished." Deathstroke however adds on.

"Wh-What?!" J said as she and Kairi looked shocked.

Deathstroke tells J "So I suggest you win a quick acquittal, my friend. At any cost. Wouldn't you agree?"

"Wait! Jaden! Let me hear him!" J calls out into the radio.

"…Very well." Deathstroke said with a sigh.

The next voice heard was Jaden's who said "…Ask my…!"

"Jaden! Is that you?!" J said to him worried.

"…Bro…Ask my bro!" Jaden said weakly but then the radio hangs up.

"Jaden! Jaden! …Wage cuts! He cut me off!" J said to that annoyed.

"Master Jaden said, 'Ask my bro,' didn't he?" Kairi asked.

"'Bro'…? What does he mean by that…?" J said thinking.

"Come on, J!" A familiar male voive said sighing "For being a smart drone you're a hopeless one…"

"Um, s-sorry…Ack!" J said and surprised to see standing there was his mentor Terra who was being channeled through Kairi so he was waring a male version of Kairi's outfit. "Terra!"

"I have a message from Jaden, so come, ask me anything you want about him." Terra said smiling

"How's Jaden?!" J asked wanting to know that immediately.

"He's safe…for now." Terra tells her. "That kidnapper is one to keep his word, it seems."

"I'm glad to hear he's safe…But Terra, how did you know…?" J asked confused.

"As soon as he was locked up, Jaden called for me. I read the note he left…Then I gather as much information about his surroundings as I could." Terra explained.

'I didn't know you could use spirit channelling like that…Pretty smart for him...' J thinks surprised Jaden thought to do that. She then asked "The kidnapper! What's he like?!"

"I don't know…" Terra said shaking his head. "Apperently, Jaden went to answer a phone call at the hotel and was drugged there…"

"And?!" J asked.

"She didn't see the face of her attacker." Terra states "And whenever he does approach her he wears a helmet mask to hide his face."

"Argh…" J groans at that.

"To add on Jaden is locked up in a very dark place right now." Terra continues "I'll tell you everything I heard when I was with him."

"When you were with him…" J repeated confused.

Date: ?, Time: ?, Location: ?

We come to Jaden's Point of view as he recovers in the wine celler he is locked in. He said "Nnngh…I'm starving…I could really go for some apple pie…I mean, at a time like this, sweets are the only way to go!"

He stands tall and said "I have to stay positive He promised he wasn't going to kill me! I'm not going to die!" He then thinks 'Bro…I wonder if you're with J right now…'

Jaden looks around best he could in the slightly lit room, he finds the door lock, if he had a plastic card he could do that trick on the hero shows of picking the lock and finds a card at the bottom of the small staircase. "Huh? Someone dropped a card here…" He looks at it "It kind of looks like…a business card…But there's no name on it."

He examines the emblem on it "Hmm…It's a picture of a dragon, I think…What a strange card." Jaden then realizes "Ah! That's it! This dragon card! If I use this, maybe I can get the door open! This might be my key out of here! I had a feeling this card might be useful…I'm such a genius!"

He goes back to the door and said "Alright. Now if you'll excuse me, Mr. Kidnapper..." He uses the card and it indeeds unlocks it when he uses it to pick the lock. He thinks 'I did it!'

"Okay…Now I'm getting the heck out of here!" Jaden said smiling and thinks 'I shouldn't keep J waiting…Or worried.' He then opens the door to leave the cellar.

Well it is good to know Jaden is safe but that will change is J doesn't get Akechi acquitted in the trial, find out how it goes next time.
