Once the ship was back in the spaceport he had the house returned to the reality Sam and the others were in.
"Well, that was a weird place."
"What do you mean weird?"
"All that trash and remember the people on that ship and how fat they were and all that?"
"Yeah, but how does that make it weird?"
"Well for one, most of the trash should have been destroyed by acid rain or decomposed down to dust and such, then there are the people, sure they could have gotten fat from being lazy but that ship had advanced artificial gravity, from the number of captains shown at most they were out there for three hundred years, that's not nearly enough time for that kind of changes for a full population under artificial gravity."
"Huh, you have a point. Um, what's going to happen to them once they get back to earth?"
Alex shrugged, "Don't know, I may have to go back from time to time to see, but again, it never says how long the trip took between Wall-E and EVE leaving Earth and reaching the ship."
"Will you be looking in them though?" Kira asked as she helped the girls down from the seat they were sharing.
"I may, hell we should have gone to the ship. Can you imagine having those large cruise ships meant for space," Alex said, slumping his shoulders.
Kira looked thoughtful, "Where would you put one?"
Straightening up, he shrugged, "Well, your home reality knows about space travel and aliens, so there would be an okay place, I could possibly do it here on this Earth by creating an underground facility to make it look like it was built secretly."
"Then you would have to fight with the world governments over ownership and all those things," Kira pointed out.
"Yeah but in your home reality, it won't be much of a fight, I can build several and lease them to the countries, it could help their income, but here it would be a different setup I'll have to talk it over with Hayes and see if something could be worked out, now that the goa'uld are gone it shouldn't be too much trouble," he said leading them off of the small ship.
They walked through the shop and up into the main part of the house to find Rosha/Jolinar watching the original Stargate movie, O'Neil had just used the rings to swap the nuke with Daniel and his wife.
"That's basically the way it happened," Alex said just after Ra's mothership exploded causing Rosha to jump.
"But Ra still lives; he did not talk to the humans of Earth; he sent the bomb after having his jaffa kill them, or at least that was the report one of our spies sent said," Jolinar said after taking control to allow Rosha calm down from her scare.
"That video is a dramatization of the prime reality from which all the realities like it spawned with just a few differences here and there."
"How can you have such information and video logs?"
"I'm sure I've told you before that I can go anywhere I want," at her nod he continued, "I can go to a hub of sorts that has or can get any information I want, so I got those movies and other things so I could research things if something new comes up."
"Are you using this information to help the people here?"
Alex shook his head, "That was the plan but some busybodies caused the situation to change, so all we know doesn't help," he went on to explain how the goa'uld had been removed and all the more peaceful Jaffa now carried Tok'ra larva.
"What about us? We can't stay for more than a few days before entropic cascade failure will set in eventually."
"I'm going to find a reality where you both died, if possible I will find that Egeria and heal her up and all that," he said while trying to think of a few other things he could do to help the Tok'ra as well as the SGC in that reality.
"Thank you, we will wait for that."
"For now, you can study those videos, they won't be completely accurate but will give you a good baseline for the future," he offered as he went to the door.
When he opened the door to his ship, he found himself on the bridge, the crew members were working at their stations while the view screen showed that they were still in the Sol system.
"Sam, where are you?"
'Still in the dining hall, Jolinar and Carter are finishing up on some of their reading,' Sam answered after a few seconds.
"Okay, well, I finished up my side trip, but I'll have to go back from time to time there is some tech I'm waiting on, but I did get some things you can look at later," he told her while Kira, Karen, and T'Pol joined him.
'Okay, we are heading to the bridge, Carter says she's ready to get back to Earth, and Jolinar wants to contact the T'okra council,'
"Carter can beam down to the SGC, and Jolinar can either ride with us to our base and contact them from there or head down with Carter," he said as he took the captain seat.
A few seconds later, Sam led the other two onto the bridge, "Take us back to the moon; once we are in orbit contact SGC," he ordered.
"Aye, sir" the navigations officer called out as she set course for the dark side of the moon. After a quick trip to the moon, Alex looked over to Carter, "Carter, look at these readings," he called out, bringing up his earlier scans of the moon on the main viewscreen.
Carter looked up from her PADD when she saw what he was showing she nearly dropped the PADD, "What is this?" she asked as she slowly walked toward the viewscreen.
"As far as I can tell, that is one of the original stations the Ancients built to observe the planet before settling it as their capital world in this galaxy, from what radiation decay I'm seeing it has been there for between fifteen to twenty million years, but I'm not reading any large power sources so most likely they took everything when they abandoned this galaxy," he answered bringing up a few more scans depicting background radiation readings.
"I see a Stargate and DhD as well as what could be labs or living spaces. Why take everything except those?"
"From what I see they are part of the station's structure, it may be possible that they couldn't take them without compromising other systems, plus they intended to return but didn't get around to it," Sam answered as she saw
how both the DHD and Stargate were built into the superstructure.
"I need to report this to the general and president," Carter said with excitement in her voice as she scanned the screen with her eyes, "Can you copy this data to this?" she asked holding up the PADD.
Alex nodded, then hit a few keys on his chair arm, transferring the data, "When you do speak to them about this, tell them it may be best to get your allies informed on the program, the U.S won't be able to foot the bill on this one."
Carter looked confused for a second before realization struck her, "You're not going to claim this?"
Alex shook his head, "No, we don't need it, plus we will be working with the Jaffa and Tokra to set up provisional governments; our teams may act as helpers in researching this or getting your equipment up here, but it's antiquated tech compared to what they have access to."
Carter looked around the bridge and then at the PADD in her hand, "You have a point," she said after a second.
"We will help in powering this station but, I will be locking that section down to all but the Asgard,"
"What, why?"
Alex sighed, "The power source is dangerous. If one of your scientists tries to take it apart, even if fully depleted the device can and will destroy this solar system if its casing is opened improperly or damaged."
"If it is that dangerous why can't we power it with a fusion reactor or even a solar array?"
Sam shook her head, "You would need a reactor powerful enough to power the U.S., and a solar array would be visible to the eye on Earth, the power systems may not even accept electricity alone," she explained.
Carter looked shocked, "We know the goa'uld reverse-engineered their ships and other equipment from Ancient devices, wouldn't one of their Ha'Tak generators work?"
"No, those things would only supply enough power to turn on the lights and maybe some nonessential systems but nothing else, look at the size of that place, it takes up at least a quarter of the lunar mass if not more," Alex pointed out while bringing up the scans showing a wireframe representation of the complex surrounded a circle taking place of the moon.
When Carter saw the new display, she was shocked even more; her eyes grew wide when she realized that Alex was right; even with a dozen Ha'Tak-level generators, they wouldn't be able to power the complex, especially considering they would have to remodel
some of the structures to house the large devices.
Alex nodded when he saw that she understood that it would not be a workable solution, "Speak to General Hammond and the president, plan, and then let us know what you are going to do but do let them know that unless the U.S shares this station and the Stargate we will not power it for you," he said again shocking her.
"Why?"
"While the SGC has good intentions, you almost brought war to a world that you had no right to do," he then gestured to Jolinar, "she can tell you, the goa'uld have wiped out entire worlds where a single government had access to the stargate and angered them."
Jlinar nodded, "Over a hundred civilizations in my thousand years of life, they would kill ninety percent of its people then enslave those still living."
Carter fell to the floor, "How close were we to being wiped out?"
"Very, Apophis was gathering an army, and apparently Anubis saw the humans of Earth as a future threat," Alex said bringing up the pictures of the asteroid, "he was towing this to fling it at Earth, by our estimates this rock would make the Chicxulub impact look like a minor event."Again, she was stunned to hear this news; Jolinar, having been with her even for a short time, felt the need to comfort her, kneeling down the laying a hand on Carter'sshoulder.
"Samantha, you have to know that the goa'uld do not see the need to talk things out," she then thought of the news of the goa'uld and other violent groups being removed, "but now none of us have to face them, we can study and meet new things and people."
Carter slowly nodded, taking comfort from Jolinar's physical and vocal presence, she sat there for a few minutes to regain her equilibrium.
"Thank you," Carter said after a few more minutes, she lay her hand over Jolinar's.
Sam smiled at her counterpart, "Xander and his crew will stay in this system for both security as well as this Earth being his home, but for now, fall out of your jurisdiction, I'm sure he would be willing to ferry some people here to study and or work on the station."
"Yes, he would, that boy can't not help, it's in his nature but he knows the rules, think of it like the prime directive from StarTrek," Alex said.
While he was speaking, he noticed a hidden signal coming from the station toward the outer sections of the solar system; it was so weak that it was bearly registered above the natural background radiation around the moon.
"I'll speak to the General and President about this," Carter said after a few minutes as she thought over after hearing they may be able to get Jack's nephew to help reach the moon.
Alex nodded as he made a note of the signal, "Alright, while it is fun talking to you all, we have a meeting coming up," he said while receiving a notice from Xander that Jack and Janet had returned to Earth and Alex and Sam were needed to help speak with Faith and Diana.
Carter stood with the aid of Jolinar, "I will join Samantha and contact the Tok'Ra as well as remain with the SGC as an emissary," she offered while Carter nodded, the lingering connection to Jolinar made her want to remain close to her.
Opening the comm, Alex pulled up the frequency Hammond had given them, "SGC, this is Alex; Carter and a guest are ready to transport down; where would be the best location?"
'This is Hammond; please send them to the gate room,' the reply came after a minute's wait.
"Understood, they will appear in a few minutes," Alex said before cutting the call after receiving a positive reply.
He leads the small group from the bridge to the transporter room, "Would the food of the embarkation ramp be a suitable point?"
"Yeah, that should be fine," Carter answered, stepping onto the platform, Jolinar following her as Alex took over the controls; once he had a lock on the location he nodded.
"Remember to contact us when you have been read in on protocol M." After her nod, he hit the keys to transport the two away in the familiar StarTrek fashion.
Sam looked at Alex, "It's almost mealtime do we have anything else to do on the ship?"
"Not really, though Xander wants to talk to me but you girls can go ahead and get something to eat," he replied with a shrug.
"Um, what about the Rosha/Jolinar in the house?" Kira asked.
Sam looked confused at this.
"I had to find this reality Jolinar, a host so I went to a reality where Rosha almost died and took them to make a Rosha for this Jolinar after I got the scan and healed her up from torture I was going to return her to the Tok'Ra but in that reality the goa'uld killed them."
Sam looked stunned for a moment then confused, "What are you going to do with her now?"
"Find a reality where Jolinar and Rosha died and take her there after she watches the SG1 and SGA stuff so she will have a basic plan to help the Tok'Ra and maybe the SGC," he said with a smile, "Just think of what she can do with a bit of a head's up."
"Alright, what about Egeria? Will we find and heal that one as well?"
"I don't see why not," he replied.
"Alright, we'll go eat; I'll have Misty put yours under a warming charm," Sam said opening the door to the house and ushering Kira and the girls through while stepping over to give him a kiss.
Once she closed the door he opened a comm to the bridge, hail the Artemis, and rout it here to my location."
'Right away,' came the reply.
After a few minutes, the comm bleeped to inform him Xander was answering the hail, "Alright what can you tell me"
'We found ourselves in Sunnydale, we merged with ourselves, Cordy, and I kinda flipped out on Buffy and Willow, we stripped them of their powers, I gave the magic I took from Willow after cleaning it of the darkness to Harmony, Cordy took the Slayer powers from Buffy, it led us to these two being attacked by a bunch of vamps, after fighting off the vamps we took the three to our med room to heal up, they will be ready to wake up soon, I think since you are the boss you may want to come to my place and give them a run down, Xander said in an impression to Willow babble.
"Alright, let me turn over the conn, then you can beam me over from my bridge," he told Xander who accepted before closing the comm.
Returning to the bridge, he gave orders to remain in this position until he knew what would be happening; he then gave the conn to the tactical officer then sent a quick message to Xander that he was ready for transport.
Once the transport finished, he found himself on the bridge of the Artemis, which either Cordy or Xander had colored in blues and bronzes; he liked the color schema over the military grey of his ship's interior.
"Bossman," Xander called out from a door Alex knew that led into his and Cordy's home.
Alex followed him into and through the house to the workshop and the medical room, where they found the three women waking up. Harmony Kendal sat up, looking around as her last memory was of leading a group of children around trick or treating on orders from Snyder.
Next to wake was Faith Lehane, the last thing she remembered was helping the brunette get Dianna on the funny bed and then laying on one herself before the world went black, she looked around to find Dianna coming around, and amazingly she saw that her arm was back, jumping from the bed she moved to hug the woman who had become her anchor and mother.
Dianna was shocked to wake fully from a very tight hug; without thinking, she hugged the small teen once she realized it was Faith, it took her several minutes to notice that her arm had been miraculously returned.
Alex, Xander, and Cordy watched the three silently until Harmony noticed them; with war a cry of "Cordy!" she lept from the bed and hugged her best friend just barely, giving Cordy time to pass Jess to Xander.
"Hello, Harmony," Cordy said gently as she hugged her friend and felt the girl shaking, "Relax, everything is okay, do you remember what happened?"
Harmony shook her head, "The last thing I remember is kiddy cany duty then waking up here."
Cordy pushes Harmony back gently and looks into her eyes, "Most of the town was caught in a spell last night, it turned everyone who bought costumes from a certain place, I found you being attacked by a vampire, Xander and I brought you here to our home to heal you along with these two," she said turning Harmony to see Faith and Dianna.
Alex and Xander were explaining the situation, "Watcher Dormer, Slayer Lehane you were lucky my friends here found you when they did, while I don't know your full story I do know you were close to death, I want to make you an offer, but first, you must know we are in contact with the U.S military as well as the president both of which are aware of the world you fight."
Dianna looked shocked, "But, the supernatural world has been hidden for centuries."
Xander laughed at that, "No, it hasn't; I found the journal of a hunter from the early nineteen hundreds, the army has had a division of hunters from just after the signing of the Declaration of Independence," he said.
"That and there is no way the deaths from the vampires and demons can be kept quiet even with the interference of Wolfram and Heart lawyers; now, if you don't mind, we will go have a meal and talk things over and I can give you my offer."
Faith and Dianna looked back and forth between the two; then Faith looked up at Dianna from where she was still hugging her a question in her eyes.
Dianna slowly nodded, "That would be welcome."
Xander smiled, "Great, I was getting hungry, and it's also time for Jess to eat and go for her nap," he said, bouncing his daughter in his arms; with a squeal, Harmony was in his personal space cooing over the baby.
"Oh, she's so cute," Harmony said, getting a good look; when she saw that she had features of Xander and Cordy starting to show she whirled on Cordy, "How did you hide this from everyone?"
Cordy winced, then went and took Jess from Xander and motioned with her head for Harmony to follow; once they were away from the others she spoke.
"Xander and I died last year, but the higher-ups needed us to be there in Sunnydale, a more powerful group grabbed us up but sent some clones to take our place, and last night we were merged with our clones," she explained while guiding Harmony to the main floor of the house.
Horror raced across Harmony's face at hearing her best and only true friend had died; tears came to her eyes, quickly spilling down her cheeks, "Oh my god, I lost my friend," she cried suddenly hugging Cordy.
Cordy just barely got Jess up so Harmony didn't squish her, "No, you haven't lost me, Xander and I have a job to do and it's going to last ten years, we can visit you just about anytime, hell I'm sure Xander would let you come along with us."
"Really?" Harmony asked, hiccupping through her tears which Cordy gently wiped away with her free hand.
"Yeah, he may not have shown it when we were growing up. He had a crush on both of us; hell, he defended you against Rosenburg, even stripped her of her magic and gave it to you."
"He, he did? But we fought with him all of the time."
Cordy laughed, "Rosenburg."
"You mean, we could have had him as a friend all this time?" Harmony growled out, "I'm going to kill that skinny good for nothing ..." she couldn't finish what she wanted to say as she was led to the upper floor, which, while smaller than Cordy's home in Sunnydale she could see the love and care in the home.
"Yeah, Rosenburg, while unaware, has been using magic on him for years. I haven't told Xander yet but I found out from the people who got us our new jobs," Cordy said with a sigh.
"Why? We never did anything to her until high school and the most we did was point out her clothes were out of fashion."
"I don't know, hell until fourth grade, I was friendly with her, then like all kids, we grew apart; I think she started when Xander and Jessie began to move away from her as well," Cordy said leading Harmony into the dining room where the table was filled with plates.
Xander led Alex, Dianna, and Faith into the dining room a few minutes later, Alex had let Xander explain what he knew about the hunters outside the control of the watcher's council and how they killed more vampires and demons in a year than the council's paltry kill count over twenty years.
Once in the dining room, Xander was about to push Alex to the head of the table, but Alex shook his head, "This is your home; I'm just your guest," Alex said, taking the chair opposite from Xander's seat.
Xander took his seat next to Cordy, Harmony at her side, and somehow she had Jess in her arms feeding her small spoonfuls of baby food, Faith and Dianna took the places across from the two.
Alex opened the screen of his Omnitool and typed out a quick message to Sam, letting her know that he would be eating with Xander's group while explaining things to Faith and Dianna.
Once they began eating Alex began his offer, "Dianna, Faith, I am the leader of a group who was sent by powers higher than the powers that be, Xander and Cordy," he pointed to the two, "will be stationed here on Earth while my other teams work on other planets, they have been given powers and equipment to handle their jobs, while I can't give you powers, I can give you armor and weapons that will augment your strength making you as strong as master vampires," he told them pulling out two of the suits he copied from batman beyond and held them up.
"I have the Slayer's powers and skills, why give me something like that?" Faith asked.
"These have stealth capabilities and hidden weapons as well as gliding or short-range flight as well, they are shielded from magical influences while augmenting a caster's abilities if they can use magic," Alex answered while activating one of the suit's stealth options.
Dianna watched wide-eyed as the suit wavered and then faded from sight, "Why give us these things?"
"Because neither Xander nor Cordy can stay on Earth all of the time nor can they remain in Sunnydale."
"That's the second time you have said something about being away from Earth. What do you mean by that?"
"Did you think Earth was the only planet where life bloomed?" Alex asked in return.
"Well, yeah there has never been any proof about life anywhere else," Faith said before eating a bit more from her plate.
Alex shook his head, "Yes, there has been proof, and the watcher's council has that proof. Egypt comes to mind. Does the word Chappa'ai mean anything to you Dianna?"
Dianna jolted at hearing that word then a shiver of dread ran down her spine as she remembered reading about the Chappa'ai and the evil gods that the ancient Egyptians had thrown through their magical door before burring it.
"About five thousand years ago..." she began telling what the watchers knew about the Chappa'ai, which took her nearly an hour allowing the others to finish their meals as they listened.
"Good, now here is the truth about the Chappa'ai," Alex told them about the Ancients and their creation of the Stargate network. Then they left the galaxy fleeing the plague.
As he spoke, Dianna finished her meal nodding along as a few missing links fell into place, "So the Chappa'ai isn't a portal to the hell world they came from but other planets that they ruled over until this Q being banished them from our universe?"
"Yes, so my job went from fighting a shadow war to helping build governments while preparing to defend this galaxy from a threat worse than the goa'uld," Alex answered.
"What is this new threat?" Xander asked while Cordy called one of their servants to take Jess to bath and put her down for a nap.
"A DeathStar and a hundred Star Destroyers, from my sources we have at most a year before they become trouble."
Xander whistled through his teeth, "Do you know which one?"
"A New Hope."
"Damn, so it's a complete and working space station with at least a million people and probably the same numbers on the other ships together?"
"About that yeah, I want to try and get scans of both the station and ships," Alex said while smiling.
"Why are you going to scan them?"
"So I can build some of my own if I need them in the future." his grin caused the girls to shiver while Xander matched his grin.
"What about the Force?"
"It goes against the laws of this universe, so no Force user can use it unless they come here like the teams I hired to help."
Xander sighed, "That's good; we may have powers of our own. The Force has too many unknown powers we wouldn't be able to prepare for that."
Alex nodded, "Yeah, and I'll not be going to that set of realities for that reason alone if you or any of the others want to go fine but I don't want that kind of trouble."
Xander shook his head, "I ain't taking my girls anywhere near that set, the death count there in just Skywalker's life makes what the goa'uld have done in centuries seem like a gangbanger skirmish."
"What are you two talking about?" Faith asked looking completely lost.
"Star Wars is basically a galaxy that's constantly at war for about twenty thousand years or so; Skywalker was a warrior of the light that fell to darkness, his body count was somewhere in the millions if not billions if you count ordering the destruction of Aldaran," Alex answered and watched as all four women paled.
"How does that galaxy have any life?"
Alex shrugged, "I do not know; there are very few planets that don't have advanced tech and terraforming, so there are few planets that don't have at least some life; if the wiki sites were right there were livable planets in each stellar system, and the Skyriver galaxy is supposed to be at least half again as big as the Milky Way.
"That's billions, if not trillions, of solar systems," Dianna said dropping her fork.
"Yep, and there are systems that have multiple worlds which, with the right tech, can house lives, even some gas giants," Xander said, then stood up followed by the others.
He led them to the living room, "Hey bossman, should we take them back to Sunnydale or Uncle Jack?"
Alex thought for a minute, then grinned. "Jack, just tell them that these two fall under protocol M, and until the debrief, they can't ask anything just house them for a week or so."
Xander nodded, then walked to his door and opened it to the bridge of the Artemis, "Contact my uncle," he ordered as he walked to the captain's seat and sat.
"Aye, sir," the comms officer answered before opening the channel to the SGC, "channel open."
"SGC, this is Captain Harris, please put me through to Colonel O'Neill."
'One moment,' Walter replied after a few seconds.
A minute later, 'What's up Xander?'
"Hey, Uncle Jack, I've got two people needing to come down to your base. They fall under protocol M but they need some RnR."
'Sure, we've got the rep the president sent to read us in the conference room prepping his speech; the General just gave the okay, do we need to know anything about them?'
"Yeah, tell the rep code, Slayer, they'll understand."
'Alright, send them on down.' Jack said then hung up.
Xander stood up and then led Dianna and Faith to the transporter room, waving the others to stay on the bridge; after a few minutes he returned, "Alright, they are set, stopped to let them put on the armor and told them about the tutorial before I sent them down."
Alex nodded, then looked between Cordy and Harmony, "What are you going to do with her?"
"Uh, Cordy said I can go with them; I just gotta get some of my stuff from home; Mom and Dad won't even notice I'm gone," Harmony said, shoulders slumping, Cordy wrapped an arm over her shoulders as new tears formed in her eyes.
"Sure, Cordy needs more than me for company," Xander said. Then a white flash of light came from his chest over his heart and flew to Harmony's chest just over her heart, "uh what just happened?"
Before Alex could answer his Omnitool gave a warbling blip, "Yes?"
'We are in the library giving the girls some lessons when Xander's work contract gave a flash; in the companion section, the name Harmony Kendal was added. What's happening?'
"Xander agreed to take Harmony along with them, I think he just meant it for the duration of their time working in this reality," Alex said looking at Xander asking with his eyes, Xander nodded, "But the companion system the company gives all the agents took it as a binding request, I'll get her kitted out."
'Okay, well, when you are done, come to the library, a new section appeared sometime in the last few days,' Sam said before having to go to answer a question from Karen.
"Okay, Xander if you are going to be offering any other female friends to go with you watch your wording, and please spread it around to the other group," Alex said as he formed one of the living suits and passed it to Harmony and watched as it covered her, he then gave her the battle armor and Asgardian power orb both of which Cordy helped her use.
"Sure thing, boss, but uh, I think we need that training ship again, Harm will need to be brought up to speed.""Yeah, we'll leave your ship and crew here, you guys can ride along with us when we go back to base," Alex said with a nod.
Xander smiled, then gave his crew the orders to remain in the Sol system, "We will be back tomorrow, Harmony will be registered as a sub-commander," he said while Cordy and Harmony returned to their house to set up a room.
Xander would ride along with Alex considering he could only open the door where he last opened it, mentally he made a note to see what it would cost for an upgrade to be able to do like Alex could with his door.
"Oh, yeah, let me call Uncle Jack again real fast they need to know I'm leaving the ship here in orbit on the moon and will probably use the Stargate to return."
Alex nodded, "Go ahead, I've got an addition to add to your ship in one of the empty cargo bays."
Xander smiled, "Sure." he said while calling up the SGC again.
Alex took off to find an empty cargo bay, which was easy considering there were three on each of the seven decks, he found one on B deck.
Reaching out to the bulkhead, he focused on his scan of the rocket EVE came to the junk Earth on; in his mental folder, he rearranged the schema to house four EVE units and connected it to the power conduits as well as the control network.
When he returned to the bridge he found Xander ready, "Alright I've added a station on B deck," here he pointed out showing them where he put the EVE units on a map of the ship on one of the unused screens, "the station house four drones that will work as probes or extra security if needed, right now they are being tied into the sensor and security protocols, they'll need twenty-four hours to finish."
The science officer nodded, "Aye sir, will these units be moving about the ship?"
"No, they will only leave the cargo bay if sent to act as a probe or if there are any hostile bordering parties."
The officer nodded and went back to his duties; Xander had finished his call with Jack by now, "The debrief is about to start. Unless something comes up they will be ready to finish the meeting tomorrow."
"Alright, let's get you over to my ship and on the way to base while I go see what Sam meant about my Library updating," Alex said before hailing his ship to transport himself and Xander over.
From the view screen of the Artemis, the crew watched the still-unnamed ship disappear into a hyperspace window before returning to their duties.Once aboard his ship, Alex left Xander in command after he opened the door to his house so Cordy and Harmony could join him on the planet to train Harmony in both magic and using the systems of the ship. An hour later, Alex's ship shot out of hyperspace and then moved to dock with the Watchtower, Alex had returned just as the ship finished docking.
"You need to check your library. Mine seems to have updated with all of the books on demons and witchcraft from your Earth; if your's didn't, let me know and I'll get you a digital copy of mine," Alex said once they were on the Watchtower.
Xander nodded, "Still may wanna get that digital copy and give it to Uncle Jack to share with the government-sanctioned hunters."
"Good point; I'll have that done tonight while we sleep," Alex said as they walked to the central command room of the satellite.
Xander smiled, "Well, I'm going on down, I'll get some of the Asgard to join us in training."
"Good idea, Hermiod, and Thor did tell me they may have some who want to join the crews," Alex told him before Xander looked around before wandering off to get sent down to the planet to get the training done
When Xander left Alex went to head for the docking bay for the smaller ships when he noticed a man in a white suit looking out of the viewing window that looked down on the planet.
Concerned about someone who shouldn't be there, he floated over the safety rail and then down to the lower floor; cautiously, he walked to the man who had short curly brown hair and a beard from what he could see from the side of his face."I like what you have done with the place," the man said as Alex got near, he turned his head with a smile.
Alex's heart sank when he saw the face of Chuck from Supernatural, Sam had found the show while they were prepping the crews, recently they had also seen a few of the YouTube videos where Chuck was god and had basically explained the entire series of events was a book he had been writing until Dean and Sam somehow got out of his control.
"Damn it, how many higher beings am I going to run into?"
Chuck laughed, "Get used to it, kid we are just about everywhere."
"Did we mess up some plan you had for this universe? I mean, we saw that show where you went for a total reset but lost your power to Jack."
Chuck waved it off, "Nah, every now and then, one of us does something like that, and that was my first station as a god, kinda went overboard with it after getting away from the nursery, but that was a thousand of jobs back."
Alex sighed, "Okay, that's good to hear, but why are you here?"
"Oh well, this time I'm doing the whole hands-off route here; think of it like a vacation; really, I just make sure the universe keeps going till it's time for a restart," Chuck said looking back out the window.
"So now wrath from on high and all that?"
"Nope, your people have added a bit of spice to the place, I'm just going to sit back and watch the show hell I may even join in on the fun from time to time, I even set limits on myself at the beginning of this universe so if I do come down here I'm just above those ascended in power."
"Are we going to have to deal with the things Sam and Dean had to do? Because some of those creatures were a bit out there."
"Nah, those things came about cause Jack wasn't in control of his powers at the time, I had to step in with the angels to offset the monsters, and by the time Sam and Dean came along Jack was so used to me working things I had to go all bad guy to force him to do his job, let me tell you that want fun," Chuck said with a shudder.
Alex nodded, "Alright, you know it's weird seeing you acting like this after watching the bits of that show."
"You're telling me, I started out mortal like you and got a job as an agent like your friends, I've even had run-ins with other versions of me it was weird as hell, but all I can say is in the long run have fun with what ya got or get, and mabey in a few cycles we'll run into each other again but that time you'll be in my place and I yours," Chuck said with a laugh before simply fading away with a grin.
Alex shook his head as he looked out of the window a slight grin on his face, ' Hope I don't have to do something like that for a very long time,' he thought before turning away to return to the control level.
