A/N: Hey guys back with another chapter though this ones a bit shorter
It felt like an eternity of pure silence for Asta, not a single soul said anything and it was making the ashen haired teen a little bit uncomfortable. Though it did make sense from what Woermann said, these Titans have brought nothing but death and destruction to these people so to see what they thought was a mindless evil beast turn into a person left them in a shock state trying to process all this information. Before Asta said anything he took the liberty to use thread magic and had clothes wrap around the unconscious man as holding him kinda made him feel uncomfortable.
"Sooooo is this enough proof?" Asta asked out loud, breaking the tense silence in the air. Pixis, hearing Asta speak, quickly cleared his voice and regained his composure.
"*cough* yes…yes that suffices" Pixis answered sounding amazed at what Asta did "I think I can speak for everyone here that your words do hold truth to them. Though I do have to ask, do you know how these people are turning into humans?"
"Sorry I can't really give you an explanation, though once I turn all those giants back into people we can ask them everything they know" Asta answered the Commander
"Yes, that would be the best course of action, with your abilities we can uncover the mystery of what's turning these people into Titans and bring peace to humanity." Pixis said making Asta as the ashen haired teen floated towards the commander as they began talking on what they would be doing next before Asta would be meeting with the council and commanders of the 3 Divisions.
Back with the cadets they were in amazement at what they just witnessed. Titans being human beings was something they never would have considered to be a possibility. Yet here they were seeing a stranger with strange abilities turning a Titan back into one, it was truly a day they would never forget.
"Oh my god" Jean whispered out
"Pinch me…cuz I must be dreaming" Connie in equal disbelief
"Ok." Sasha said as she pinched Connie on the cheek causing the bald headed boy to recoil in pain and yell out Sasha.
"This is unbelievable, there is so much we still don't know." Armin said in amazement and curiosity, then an epiphany hit the blonde haired boy "wait of the Titans could have knowledge of the outside wor-" Armin stopped mid sentence in shock when he turned around to look at Eren and Mikasa.
The reason for his shock was when he saw the expressions that were running across Eren's face. There was shock, denial, horror but the most notifiable one was grief.
"T-t-this t-this is a lie" Eren muttered in denial as he took a step back
"Eren?" Mikasa asked in concern
"This is a lie…yeah…it has to be…I-it's some sort of trick" Eren breathing was getting heavier with his skin looking pale taking several more steps back as he started to hyperventilate.
"Hey man, what's wrong with you?" Jean asked although it didn't look like the brunette heard him
"THIS IS A LIE!" Eren yelled, shocking the cadets that were near as they saw Eren getting more hysterical by the seconds. Some were confused on why Eren was acting the way he did but Armin immediately understood what was wrong with his friend. He quickly wrapped Eren in a hug and tried to get him to calm down.
"Eren calm down please, just take a deep breath" Armin said as he continued to hug his friend who was trying to fight against it as he continued to deny what he just saw.
"Eren, I know you're upset, I understand how you feel I really do but please calm down, we have to accept the reality of the situation." Armin pleaded with the brunette. Eren slowly stopped struggling against Armin but his expression of grief didn't change.
"Armin…please tell me this isn't true…Titans aren't actually humans…are they?" Eren asked in desperation as tears threatened to leak from his eyes.
"...I'm sorry Eren" The blond simply said as Eren quietly sobbed into Armin's shoulder. The cadets that saw this remained silent processing everything. Some were in denial at Titans being humans, others were curious leaving them with more questions than answers and the few were left in fear, mainly for the Marleyan trio.
'Great, just fuck great, as if our mission wasn't already hard' Reiner thought to himself sarcastically 'Not can this guys fly, immobilize pure Titans but he can also turn them back into humans. Just where the hell did he come from and why now of all times'
Reiner looked to see Commander Pixis and Asta still talking until the ashen haired teen made a chariot out of mercury and used it to let Pixis and his 2 personal soldiers float towards the top of the wall.
'Regardless it doesn't matter, while it would be bad for the people here to know more about Marly and the outside world the "Magic Knight" is the main problem. If we can get rid of him first and retrieve the Founding Titan Paradis would have no real defence against Marly's military'
"So what do we do now?" Sasha asked out loud
"I say we head back from where we came from and wait for our orders before those higher up see that were not supposed to be here" Marco suggested with the other cadets agreeing with him.
"Looks like you can rest easy now Mina, your boyfriends seems to be in good hands" Connies teased the girl as he noticed her have a look of relief on her face.
"Oh shut up!"
Asta's POV
"Hohohoho this is definitely a once in a lifetime experience, I never thought I would have the opportunity to fly across the land" Commander Pixis chuckled as he was observing the Trost from the Mercury made chariot he and his 2 were riding on.
"Yeah I know flyings truly amazing isn't it!" Agreed with the Commander as they now went to the top of the wall when they were done observing all of Trost to see that every Titan had been immobilized. Commander Pixis got of the Chariot and looked towards the ashen haired teen
"It is truly a blessing with what you have done for us, not only did you prevent the deaths of countless soldiers and civilians but you also helped us in uncovering the secrets of Titans, for that you have my gratitude" Pixis said to the ashen haired magic knight.
"No problem, it's all in the day's work of a magic knight!" Asta said with a grin on his face
"Hohoho I love your enthusiasm Asta" Pixis chuckled "But back onto what we discussed earlier"
"Yeah I understand, you'll have your soldiers on guard whilst I turn those giants back into humans" Asta summarized with Pixis nodding
"Yes once your done we you will be met with the council and remaining commanders to help us understand more about the outside world"
"Sounds easy" Asta said although he was a little bit nervous having to go meet a council, after all his last experience of going to one almost led to his execution. Asta then looked outside the wall to see that some Titans were still there and immediately knew what he had to do.
"Hey there are still Titans outside the wall, I'm gonna go deal with those"
Before Pixis could give his confirmation the ashen haired teenager already flew down to the man eating giants and immediately incased them in sand, he then put his hand on the Titans turning them back into humans.
"I don't think I could ever get used to seeing a Titan transforming into a human" The male soldier behind Pixis muttered though it was heard by Pixis and he couldn't help but agree
"Sir i have to ask though can we really trust this person, I mean everything about him is just…unnatural" The female soldier behind Pixis questioned.
"I can't say I trust him completely but from what I've seen and heard he is not an enemy at least not yet. Besides from looking at his capabilities I would rather have him as an ally than to make him our enemy" Pixis explained
"Aaaand I'm done!" Asta said, floating towards the 3 soldiers with 6 unconscious humans lying down on the floating layer of cotton beside him.
"Perfect, I'll have my soldiers taken to safety and we can question them later" Pixis told Asta
"Gustav, Anka, once you're done taking these people to safety, gather all the soldiers for their next assignment" The male and female escorts of Dot Pixis obeyed the commade and immediately went to work, though not before taking the 6 unconscious humans back to safety. Asta was looking at the horizon smiling to himself that he was able to help these people as he couldn't help but have a sickening feeling of what the result would have been if he didn't show up.
'Well I guess it doesn't matter, what matter is I'm here now' The ashen haired teen thought to himself 'and I can't just leave these people, whatever's happening it needs to stop now'
15 Minutes later
It had been 15 minutes later and all the soldiers and cadets had been gathered around to receive their orders from commander Pixis.
"I wonder what is gonna happen now" Marco asked out as quit a few soldiers were also wondering the same the time
"Can't say for certain but if one thing for certain, our new guest is probably gonna be involved somehow" Jean said as some of the other cadets started muttering to themselves.
"What do you guys mean?" Historia asked as she, Ymir and a few other cadets weren't there with Eren and the others
"Oh right you and Ymir weren't with us when it happened" Connie responded "Though I'm not sure if you would believe us even if we told you"
"Believe what?" Ymir asked with a raised eyebrow
"That Asta guy turned a Titan into a human" Sasha answered the 2 girls. Upon hear what Sasha said both Ymir and Historia had their eyes widened in shock and disbelief
"D-did you say…turn a Titan into a h-human?"
"Yep"
"T-there's no way that's possib-"
"ATTENTION!"
The loud voice of Commander Dot Pixis grabbed the attention of every soldier and cadet as they looked up the wall to see the Commander standing there with his hands behind his back. They also noticed Asta was standing behind Pixis but they didn't really pay any attention to him as they were all more focused on what the commander was about to say.
"I'm sure your all aware of the current status of the Titans within Trost and I'm sure you've either seen or heard the reports of someone rescuing our fellow soldiers and civilians whilst also incapacitating the Titans, for that we have to thank our new ally who goes by the name Asta!" Pixis said with Asta giving a wave and a sheepish smile to the crowd
"Holy crap its him"
"Was he that blur stopping all those Titans?"
"Hey that's the same guy that saved me from getting eaten"
"Just who is this guy anyways?"
"I hear that he's some kind of magician but that can't be true right?"
Various muttered to themselves as some gave their own accounts of what they witnessed while some heard some rumours and others hadn't any knowledge of the ashen haired teen.
"This man right here not only plays a large role in the survival of the human race but has also helped us uncover the secrets of what the Titans really are" Pixis said, causing more signs of hope among the soldiers and curiosity for those who didn't see Asta turn a Titan into a human.
"U-um C-commander, might I ask…what secrets of the Titans are you talking about?!" A cadet asked out loud. Pixis paused for a few seconds and began to speak
"Yes I was just getting to that, as of right now we all thought that Titans were nothing but mindless monsters that wanted nothing but the complete destruction of the human race, however after the events of days that may not be so true." Pixis said as the ones who weren't aware of Titans being humans looked ahead in anticipation.
"The Titans that we have sworn to eliminate are actually humans"
Predictably there was silence for a good few seconds and then screams of shock, denial and horror, however those screams quickly died down when soldiers that saw Asta turn a Titan back into a human confirmed it to be true.
"That is where this young man comes in, due to some external circumstances our new friend here has the ability to turn Titans back into humans. The plan being groups would be assigned with one captain in each of them, the group would be put in specific positions in Trost, Asta will turn the Titans back into humans and they will be taken in for questioning, are there any questions?!"
Despite a few soldiers still being shocked at the revelation of Titans being humans there were surprisingly no questions being asked, perhaps they were in such disbelief that they truly haven't processed everything Pixis said.
"Excellencet, now move out!" Pixis commanded as all the soldiers proceeded with the plan.
35 Minutes later
"Aaaaaaaaaand I think that's the last one!" Asta said carrying an Unconscious woman in his arms and handing them to one of the soldiers, the soldier nodded and zipped away with his ODM gear holding the woman in toe.
For the past 25 minutes Asta had been turning Titans back into humans leaving them to be taken inside of wall Rose. The whole process was actually pretty easy, by the looks of it the citizens may be able to take back the city of Trost sooner than they expected.
"Y'know…despite the destruction the Titans caused in Trost, I can't help but feeling the town looks more radiant" Pixis said as he walked up to Asta the moment he was done with all the Titans.
"Yeah…I think I know what you mean. It kinda feels looks like a new start for a brighter tomorrow" Asta responded to the old man
"By the way, when exactly is the Commander for this Survey corp supposed to show up anyways?"
"Hmm, well there was a message sent to them a while ago that Titans had invaded Trost so him and the remaining members should be here any minute by now" Pixis said as he stroked his chin
"Hey would anyone care to explain to me what hell is going on?"
Asta turned to the unfamiliar voice and saw a short man with raven black hair wearing the same uniform and ODM gear just like the other soldiers, the only difference was he was also wearing a green cloak with 2 large wing symbols on it.
"Ah speak of Devil, Asta met Captain Levi Ackerman a member of the Survey corp and humanity's strongest soldier" Pixis said as Asta continued to look at him whilst Levi narrowed his eyes at the ashen haired teen.
A/N: And that's a wrap hope you enjoyed the chapter. The chapters maybe shorter and slower updated in the future cuz I really don't have a plan for this story and I'm just making it up as I go along.
