Story Start!
Fighting failed again.
'Here I am, once again, taking the trip home while holding a severed body part.' A2 was barely alive, her regeneration had brought her back to working condition after she had been killed, but considering she had a severed arm and leg that needed to be reattached still, her condition wasn't great. She had reached the peak of what she could do in battle against 2B without trying to kill her.
Her entire squad was wiped out.
Maybe it was time to try something new.
-Later in the Underworld-
Try something new, or try something crazy.
"... I understand why you may be hesitant to talk to me... and I ask that you keep this meeting a complete secret." A2 whispered as she sat down on the floor, and placed her severed arm and leg next to her. She would get started on at least trying to restore her severed leg before she got both of her arms back into complete working order.
"I am calm." Serafall stated as she raised her hands.
She had every right to be a little scared right now.
A2 was one of the androids who was nearly completely immune to magic, and she was a Wizard type who relied completely on magic in order to defend herself. Androids have superhuman strength and speed, with them being able to send cars and buses flying with their punches and kicks. A wizard-type like her was almost no match for an opponent that could negate her magic, and outdo her in every physical stat that she possessed.
"You called your fellow Satans for help." A2 informed her that she was not ignorant of her actions.
"I... just want them here. For my safety."
"That is fine. Ajuka and Sirzechs have been researching the truth behind Kushina Uzumaki and Minato Namikaze's deaths." A2 stated as she glanced down at her leg, and she could feel Serafall stiffen as that little secret had been revealed. The only other android who knew that Sirzechs and Ajuka were trying to find the truth was 109S, and before he coudl tell anyone else about it, she had dispatched him herself so that the secret of what the Satans were doing could remain a secret.
She never knew when she would need allies.
Ajuka and Sirzechs entered the room via magical circle.
"Where is Falbium?" Serafall asked.
"He was asleep, and said we could handle things without..." Ajuka stopped when he noticed A2 was sitting on the floor and working on getting her leg to reattach itself. He froze up, and he glanced at Sirzechs, who had instantly froze the second he had seen her when he teleported into the room. Both of them were well aware of who this particularly android was.
She was a monster.
Every devil who got caught breaking the law set forth against devils, was either captured or killed by her when she was dispatched to deal with threats. She had a near-complete immunity to magic, and many devils relied on their magic to inflict harm on their opponents. The only magic that seemed to work on her was illusion magic, and only when the illusion didn't control her senses, and instead made an illusion appear around her surroundings instead.
She could kill any of them if she were at full health.
It may take days for her to land the killing blow, but she was immune to any method they had of actually hurting her, and her physical abilities far exceeded their own.
"... Do not be afraid... I am not here on the behalf of anyone but myself, and my Master." A2 stated as she lifted the bangs covering her left eye, and she showed that her left eye had been removed, and there was damage inside of her head. She pulled her own crushed eye out of her pocket, to show that she had ripped and destroyed her eye herself. "... Nobody knows I'm here, and I destroyed my tracker. It will be 27 hours before my eye regrows and the tracker in it grows back." A2 could never escape her siblings without the permission of her Master, which could disable the tracker.
"You work for the government, you have no Master." Sirzechs stated.
"I do have a Master. Before he was born, my Master was programmed into me. I betrayed my Master out of arrogance, and I betrayed his parents. 21S isn't my Master, the government isn't my Master. My Master is Naruto Uzumaki, son of my creators." A2 would never get over the great shame she felt at the fact she had taken part in the betrayal of Kushina and Minato, her creators. She could never forgive herself for what had happened to the most pure hearted of original 8.
"So that's his name." Ajuka whispered with interest.
"Sssshhhh." Sirzechs hissed at him.
"I have long been aware that you've been trying to find Naruto, and uncover the truth behind we betrayed Kushina and Minato. I have been covering for you for years." A2 stated. "I am the unit assigned to kill you if you were ever to become a threat, and all units are programmed to report to me on if you become that threat. The day you two plotted to discover the truth, the unit watching over you reported that to me directly, and I killed him." A2 told them.
"We are being watched!?" Sirzechs never knew.
Ajuka was just as shocked, and so was Serafall.
"Please don't be offended, you Satans are considered the greatest threat to humanity at this time. We androids were designed to protect humanity, and thus we consider you and your entire species to be threats." A2 spoke with a tone of voice that suggested she didn't like them, but didn't hate them either. She was reserved, and her lack of hate did help to ease the annoyance they felt. They understood where she was coming from, but none of them had noticed that they were being watched.
Sirzechs sat down on the floor so that he could see eye to eye with her, and the others joined him.
"So... you are betraying your government."
"No, I am writing a wrong. For years, I have been trying to track down my Master, get him and the member of the original 8 units with him to take me in, and let me make ammends for my betrayal. Every time I meet them, I get killed and they escape." A2 revealed another truth to them.
"So there... there was another android! I knew it, I knew a genius like Minato or Kushina would never be so careless as to die in a lab accident." Ajuka whispered with excited wide eyes, because everything was being confirmed for him that his theory really was correct. He looked at A2, and he looked at Sirzechs.
Serafall wasn't happy though.
"So, you're betraying your side to join us?" Serafall stated.
A2 punched the floor.
"I'm not betraying the government, I'm serving humanity! I'm fulfilling my creator's wishes! They didn't want this! They didn't want a system like this, where humanity forced the supernatural to submit like this!" A2 continued to punch the floor until she put a hole in it, and her anger was so genuine that they could truly tell they were dealing with somebody that wasn't just a machine, but had a soul to call her own. "They wanted to protect humanity from the supernatural FOR their son. They wanted him to grow up in a world where he never had to worry about being killed and enslaved by a devil against his will, or kidnapped and used by a Fallen Angel, or eaten by a yokai. They wanted the supernatural to stop taking advantage of humanity... but not like this!" A2 started to throw a fit.
"Like this?" Serafall asked her.
"Have you seen the mass produced androids they make now? My creators would be ashamed. We were made to have souls, we aren't supposed to be machines that just mindlessly follow orders. We have feelings, we're suppose to LIVE alongside those we protect. We were programmed with the ability to feel love, understand hate, and feel empathy. Yet, these new androids... they aren't the same, they aren't what they would have made. It's wrong." A2 calmed herself down. She put a neutral expression back onto her face. "... So I need your help." A2 stated.
"What can we do, we don't have any authority in the human realm anymore. Our species is no longer able to influence the human world the way we could before." Sirzechs didn't understand what she wanted them to even do.
"Take Naruto... find a way to get Naruto into the Underworld in a way where we androids won't have the authority to kidnap him. I don't care how you do it, but the second we lose the authority to take him, I'm sure 2B will listen to me without a fight." A2 stated.
"2B... but we already knew there is a different B unit of the Original 7... Original 8." Ajuka didn't understand.
"We don't know what her actual name is, we call her 2B because that is the name she took for herself. All knowledge of her original model and type were erased from our memories. That doesn't matter though, because I can't match her without using lethal force, and my Master would never accept me if I killed his protector." A2 was stuck, and she didn't know how she could get 2B to listen without help from outside forces.
Any human she tried to get help from would report her betrayal to the government though, and she couldn't go to the Church either, because the Angels had gotten huge benefits ever since the truth about the supernatural, Heaven, and Hell were revealed. They had seen huge growth in believers of Jesus who wanted to get into Heaven, and thus the Angels had recieved a massive boost to their power. Angels were also protectors of humanity as well, so they had a good relationship with the androids, and going to them would just mean her fellow androids would be told the truth as well.
"How would we benefit from this?" Sirzechs leaned forward.
"Sirzechs, we need to help her because it's the right thing to do!" Serafall shouted, only to be silenced when both Sirzechs and Ajuka glanced her direction, but said nothing.
"No, she's already proven that she's a traitor. She betrayed her creators, and now she's betraying her government. Unless we can benefit from this, we can't afford to help her... at all. If it gets discovered that we helped her, and we don't have a way to protect ourselves, bad things will happen." Sirzechs stated the simple facts.
A2 was a traitor.
"... I understand, it's as you say. I am nothing more than a traitor. I feel horrible about what I did, and I want to make things right. I was the android who kept 2B distracted while the others killed Kushina. I knew that my actions would cause her death. I deserve death... I deserve a thousand deaths for what I did." A2 wouldn't deny that the 137 deaths she had suffered at 2B's hands weren't enough for her to wipe the slate clean. She had been killed so many times by her fellow android, but it wasn't enough to make up for the sins she had committed. "... I've been keeping this a secret, but... awhile ago when I was killed, my soul went into the Server located in Naruto's body, and for a brief moment... I gained knowledge."
"Knowledge of what?" Ajuka asked with so many questions in his heart.
The Server?
"The Rasengan Engine, he completed the Rasengan Engine. It was a pet project that Minato and Kushina failed to complete. It is an engine capable of infitely supplying infinite power. They could never get it to work, but Naruto had figured out and created a working Rasengan Engine." A2 had connected her mind and soul to the server, unlike the other androids who never died because they never faced off against 2B, she had died enough and gone into the server so many times that she started to become aware of what was happening inside of Naruto's heart when she was there.
"Infinite... really?" Sirzechs asked with clear annoyance.
That had to be a lie.
"Infinite, true infinite. It's an engine capable of staying active forever, supplying infinite energy. The engine works by siphoning a tiny amount of energy... from infinite timelines and universes. It then contains that energy, creates it, and destroys it. It forms and destroys entire universes inside of itself while it's powered on. It's TRUE infinite power. If you... if you can get Naruto into the Underworld legally... and you can get me in contact with him, then I'll make sure you get one. You will have a Rasengan Engine to power the Underworld." A2 could only bargain with that.
"You think that is worth the risk we would be taking?" Sirzechs asked.
He didn't believe the claim of infinite energy.
"Actually... we aren't really taking a risk. If we can legally get Naruto to visit the Underworld, then we haven't done anything wrong." Serafall noticed something. The only crime they had committed had been trying to uncover the truth about how Minato and Kushina died, which wasn't actually a crime. They had to keep it secret so they didn't get killed, but the android responsible for killing them was keeping that a secret.
There was zero risk to themselves if they agreed to help her.
"How old is he?" Ajuka asked as he placed a hand on her shoulder.
"He's 13 now... It makes me sad, knowing the suffering I inflicted on him. Still, I want to be at his side where I belong. He's a precious existence to us androids. Of the Original 8, 5 of his betrayed our creators. Type H and Type D were the only ones who didn't betray, but 2B still killed them. Type H is currently suppressed, and Type D agreed to work the others, since our creators were already dead at that point." A2 didn't care about the Type D series.
They were only programmed for defending, and had little to no offensive capabilities.
When their creators died, 19D had decided that she would side with her fellow androids in defending humanity. She did not agree with the killing of their creators, but she still had a job to do, alive or dead didn't change the fact that her creators wanted her to defend humanity as a whole.
It was too risky to try and get 19D as an ally, since she might not accept, and that would result in her getting the traitor label like H7. She was too emotional, and refused to side with them, and the second she planned to reveal the truth to humans, she was sealed within her own mind, now unable to disobey them.
"13... he's around my sister's age." Sirzechs felt immense sympathy for the boy.
To grow up always on the run, it had to be torture.
"Mine too... I'll do whatever I can to help. We've find a way to get Naruto to willingly come to the Underworld, and give you the chance you need to meet him." Serafall promised. She reached out to touch A2's hand, only for the android to hesitate, and accept the touch.
"Thank you..." A2 stated, before she opened up her chest, and she pulled her own Black Box out of where her heart should be.
"A... that isn't the same Magic Core that androids use."
"Yes, this is a Black Box. I'm showing this to you, as a show of faith." A2 held it out to them to touch.
Ajuka tried to touch it.
His hand phased through it.
"What?"
"A Black Box can only be touched by Minato and Kushina's descendants, 2B, and the android it belongs to. All other hands, weapons, and forms of touch will be rejected. The core is a Philosopher's Stone, it will never need to be replaced. 2B also has one... so if you find an android with silver hair, and doesn't register a Magic Core... then that is 2B. If you find 2B, you find Naruto." A2 stated as her Black Box started to move back towards her open chest. Her chest closed around her core, and the cracks in her torso sealed back up.
"I have many questions, but the most important question... why did you betray your creators?" Ajuka wanted to know.
How could a creation betray his creator, when the creation was so well made?
"21S has a small bug in his programming. When Minato went to meet with government leaders to get the funding to produce more of us, 21S heard the government mention mass producing androids, to defeat the supernatural with quantity over quality. Minato didn't agree with that, but 21S saw the benefits of it and thought Minato was being irrational... the bug in his programming that Minato never noticed caused 21S to side with the government in order to prioritize humanity. Our programming allows us to kill humans, but only if doing so would protect humanity or our master." A2 explained why the traitor did what he did.
A small bug that even Minato never noticed.
A small big that had caused 21S to register the government's plan to mass produce androids as the salvation of humanity, and caused him to register Minato and Kushina as threats to humanity. Since they refused to side with the government's plan to mass produce lower quality androids, 21S registered their actions as a huge threat to the safety of humans as whole.
So, the bug in his programming weighed the lives of 7 billion humans against the lives of 2 humans.
He spread of bug to the rest of them while their souls were still developing, and their emotions were more robotic than they were human. The only one who was immune to the bug had been 2B, who had spent her entire creation process awake, and learning how to be human from Kushina. She had been a special android among them, and her programming was different. She was designed to kill them if they ever went against their creators, and that allowed her to be immune to the big in 21S' programming.
It took a few years, but eventually her self-modifying programming allowed her to wipe out the programming bug as well.
H7 was a healer unit, and was immune to the big due to her massive empathy based programming and lack of any ability to kill.
Similar to 19D who was programmed to defend any human who needed defending.
"Can you tell us what Naruto looks like?" Serafall asked.
"Yes, he has Kushina's beautiful face, and Minato's hair and eye color... and he possesses 3 whisker marks on each cheek, and he has markings on his stomach that appear whenever an android is in contact with him. He's short for his age, and on the skinny side, I suspect due to malnutrition, but more likely it is just Kushina's genetics, since my records of her childhood show that she was short for her age too." A2 provided what they would need.
"... Can you... get me one of MInato and Kushina's bones. If I have samples of their genetics, I can create a scanner to track down Naruto."
"I can not, their bodies are not in their graves. 21S plans to study your Evil Piece system to try and revive them one day, but he can't that without their brains. When 2B escaped from, she cut open their heads and stole their brains. None of us know where she is keeping them. 21S wants to show them the world he helped to create... he wants them to understand that he did what he did because he believed it would help people." A2 felt bad for even her brother.
Even he loved their creators.
He wasn't happy, or sadistic. He didn't enjoy what he did, but his programming had made him assume that it was the only path forwards. He truly wished for his creators to show approval for his actions, and wanted to show them that he was right. He wanted them alive, and to approve of what he had done.
His existence was such a sad one.
One day, she would kill him.
Him being a sad existence didn't take away from her desire for revenge against him.
She could pity him, but still want him to suffer for his betrayal.
