"… Talking"

*Note. '…' in this means it is not yet seen… can you guess what they will be…?

"What do you mean Sans?" Asriel asks as the skeleton sighs loudly once more.

"I know what your father is asking, I know hes pushing for it. Don't. Toriel asked me to speak with you because she believes you to do the right thing if it came to it. I know that shes eventually going to ask about that card and-" Asriel puts his hand up and stops Sans.

"Sans, I wasn't going to tell her. Not yet anyways. As for me telling her however, I don't see why not she shouldn't know the truth, however first she needs to accept the truth about me and my past before I can even consider that." Asriel says with a snarl. Sans relaxes with a frown.

"Sorry kid, its just the… look I have a bad feeling if she learns we will all be destroyed…" Sans says, seeing Asriel's glare turn even darker as his eyes narrow.

"Watch it Sans, out of everyone I have ever met Frisk is furthest thing from dangerous." Asriel says as he turns back to looking out, seeing many Humans and Monsters actively enjoying their life he motions to out there. "That is what we strive for Sans, that peace that everyone has now is just a faction of what we could have. Humans and Monsters, you act like we are still in war, despite the fact you are not much older than Undyne. I would rather Frisk hear it from me than encountering the bad we deal with." Asriel says with another snarl.

"Kid your making a bad cho-" Sans stops as Asriel glares at him.

"Really? I thought we had the right to choose and live with them? Now you want to make my choices for me Sans?" Asriel says as he starts to step away. "If you are already shirking on watching Frisk for Father you can leave then. I will keep her safe since you seem more inclined to cause more problems as always." Asriel says leaving Sans alone whom vanishes when a group passes by. Asriel growls as he mumbles.

"Fucking Sans always with his weird as hell accusations and beliefs." Asriel says as he bumps into someone and falls as he looks up he sees Gaster standing there with a turtle neck sweater and black pants as he offers Asriel a hand.

"A surprise to see you here my prince." Gaster says, Asriel takes his hand and lets him help him back up.

"Its fine, more surprised to see you out of your lab." Gaster nods.

"Yes, I suppose so. I needed to get a few things for the home. Now I believe I heard Sans' name. Is everything alright?" Asriel shakes his head.

"He wants me to not tell Frisk, I swear hes been weird ever since he brought Frisk to meet us, like he didn't want to." Gaster nods.

"It is because he didn't. I believe he is still angry with humans for what happened to his mothjer." Asriel frowns as remembers Gaster's wife Lucida.

"How… is she by the way?" Gaster shakes his head.

"Still unconscious. However her soul and body have fully recovered now. Her magic however is the next step of treatment as she is leaking magic as quickly as she makes it so I fear her levels won't return to where she can wake till we can mend this." Gaster says as he turns. "Do what you think is best Asriel, I for one think that Frisk would be a wonderful addition to our group once she is ready to accept it." Asriel nods before his frown deepens.

"Father wants me to tell her as soon as possible… I am doing my best to avoid it I even just spent a sizable piece of my savings for Frisk to avoid such." Asriel says getting a nod from Gaster whom glances to his wrist where a watch rests.

"I should get going prince. If you need me…" Asriel nods as he understands.

"Take care Gaster." Asriel says before he lets the older skeleton leave. Asriel decides he should go find Frisk and Teina, a heat rises to his cheeks as he looks in the direction Frisk and Teina went earlier. 'It feels so weird going in there... but I shouldget back to them, I'm not quite sure how I feel about today anymore.' Asriel walks into the section.

Meanwhile Frisk was currently looking at herself in a mirror with a blush and Teina nodding in approval. She was wearing a dark blue one piece dress that went down halfway past her knees, it was detailed with an emerald green trim.

"I… I don't know Teina…" Frisk says unsure. It really showed her body well… something she was unsure about. The dress was hugging her figure as she looks over her chest in particular. Her usual outfit hid her features, with the dress however… holding a more of an hourglass figure with her D-cup chest. 'Oh god if Asriel saw me like this… w-what would he think?' Frisk thinks as Teina keeps on giving her another look over.

"I love it! Seriously Frisk, your body is beautiful! Dust would I kill to have an hourglass figure. Having a small chest and a big butt aint all that fun…" Teina says.

"Finally!" The two turn to see Asriel whom pants with an obvious red glow from his cheeks radiating through his fur. "I uh… was trying to find you two…" Asriel says as he looks at Teina, not realizing Frisk's current outfit she was trying on.

"Surprised you didn't pass out like last time." Teina teases as she smiles at Asriel.

"That was when I was twelve! Not only that, but every time I saw you guys I had to go through the underwear sections!" Asriel says with a pout, he stands up straight and sees Frisk in her dress. Her face flustered as his eyes stare in awe, just as she turns away in embarrassment. "Beautiful." Asriel says causing Frisk's face to flush even a deeper red, Teina smiles with an approving nod.

"I know right? Who know that tomboy was a bombshell underneath those baggy clothes… Specially since she pulls off that tomboy look so well without her chest really showing for being D-cups." Teina says looking at Frisk whom turns and glares at Teina.

"Teina! Don't tell him that!" Frisk says with a red face, Asriel however stared off into the distance, a droplet of blood leaks from his nose.

"Calm down girl, you know its true." Teina says with a chuckle as she shoos Frisk. "Perhaps we should get more casual dress outfits for you like this…" Teina hums before she motions for Frisk to return to the changing room. "Now go either try the next outfit or get dressed." Teina says getting Frisk to walk back into her changing room. Once Frisk was gone Teina smiles at Asriel. "As nice as it is to see you get over being here some… we were barely in here for half an hour before you showed up. You good?" Teina asks getting a nod from Asriel.

"Yeah, just Sans decided to poke his head into my life again." He responds, Teina rolls her eyes hearing this.

"The dude is really creepy honestly. Like his father Gaster is really nice, complete opposite of him, but Sans I don't like really. Like hes always got a third agenda that clashes with his own and everyone else." Teina says getting a nod again from Asriel.

"Yeah… don't tell Frisk, something tells me hes got her glued like family to him." Teina nods. A click is heard as Frisk exits the changing room, she comes out in another outfit; this one caught Asriel off as Teina smiles brightly. She was wearing a purple button up dress shirt with her sleeves rolled up to just before the elbow. Over that was a black and purple vest, with a large black skirt going past the knees with plenty of room to move around freely. She seemed be more comfortable in the attire than the dress judging by her face no longer being as red as a stop-light.

"S-So what do you think Asriel? I saw this and it kinda looked like your family's type… I was curious how I would look in a similar style.." Frisk says looking away with worry that he may find it insulting.

"Wow… I uh. Pardon my language, but damn. You look amazing." Asriel says staring at her. 'Oh dust, she actually looks good in uniform.. damn she looks good in a dress or uniform.'

"You really think so?" Frisk asks surprised at his words. Teina bumps Asriel's shoulder as she chuckles.

"And to think you thought you needed me to come be fashion with Frisk. She just needs coercing into dresses… something you could do with ease." Asriel blinks as he looks at Teina.

"How would I do that? I wouldn't want to force her to wear anything she didn't want…" Asriel says, failing to understand the hidden meaning of her words. Frisk blushes as she glares at Teina whom just smiles. The trio help Frisk get a few more clothes before they leave that section. As they were checking out, Asriel sees the price with a sigh as he pulls out his wallet and looks again at the black card. He pulls it out, Frisk notices the look on Tenia's face when he does so.

Teina walked out with two bags, and she was fine with that. Frisk was staring at the basket of stuff she was going have to explain to her mother about…

"I think my mom might kill me…" Frisk says deflating against the cart.

"Ha, Imagine if Toriel knew how much Asriel spent in a single day…" Teina says getting a groan.

"Ugh don't remind me…" Asriel says as Teina starts to walk ahead of them.

"Well I do need to get home and finish stuff there. I suppose I can leave you two to continue anything else… Frisk don't be afraid to take advantage of Asriel's wallet." Teina says getting a 'Hey!' from Asriel. "And Asriel… uh pick up a book?" Teina says sheepishly before Asriel throws one of the receipts from the store at her causing her to laugh and run away. Frisk looks at Asriel with a curious look.

"So uh… your not going to keep spending crazy amounts on me today… I don't think I can ever amount to the value you spent today…" Frisk says her face looking away before Asriel's hands land on her shoulders causing her to look at him.

"Don't say that. You, you as a person, as a living soul, are priceless. You don't need a value on your existence to make people spend money on you… The money they spend is just a small part of what care for you." Asriel says, his face flusters somewhat as he hears a deeper meaning of his words.

"I uh.. Thank you Asriel…" Frisk says, she smiles at his words as he lets go and looks at the stuff.

"I am quite hungry… and we got a lot of stuff to get to your home. Let me call Brax and have him take us to drop this stuff off at your place and we can go get some food next. Sound good?" Asriel asks Frisk whom nods excitedly.

"That sounds good. Teina is a slave driver for clothes, I mean shopping was fun, but I guess I don't see the point in over-indulging in clothes… wont wear them all most likely." Frisk says getting a nod from Asriel.

"Too true, atleast you think in that regard. Teina and her sister… ooh boy. Especially her sister can hoard clothing. I went over once when I was ten, I swear to god she had three dressers put in for her newest vist then. Last time I spoke Teina says she had like seven dressers full…" Frisk stares in disbelief. "Yeah." Asriel says as the two stop, calling Brax whom quickly comes to pick them up with Chara in tow, whom of which stares at Asriel like he was an idiot as the two piled Frisk's new items into the vehicle.

Soon driving off Chara sighs as hes forced to be squished in the backseat next to Asriel and Frisk.

"Mom is going to kick your ass Asriel. How much did you spend today?" Chara asks as he looks at the bags.

"Uh… about… seventeen hundred?" Chara stares at him as he shakes his head.

"I think that she will be fine with it, Frisk is going to be showing up in many new outfits it seems. I don't think Toriel will be all that mad." Brax says from the front seat.

"uhuh…" Chara says as he glances to Frisk. Whom was looking out the window as cars drive past them. The slow fading light showing how much time has gone by, and yet it was still far from over today. "Thanks…" Chara says catching Frisk and Asriel off guard as they both look to Chara in confusion. "Thank you for coming to rescue me Frisk." Frisk smiles, her hand offered out as he takes it.

"Your welcome Chara, I am glad your alright." Chara smiles as he nods.

"It will take more than that to keep me down." Chara says as the group drives. "I also wanted to apologize for how I acted when we first met, you… are not as bad as other Humans." Chara says, getting a smile from Asriel as the three soon arrive at Frisk's home. Chara climbs out and helps carry some of the bags, his face flushes when realizes the bag he was carrying were undergarments. The three walk up to the door, Asriel able to free one hand reaches up towards the door…

Caroline was currently leaning back in her recliner after getting back thirty minutes prior from the school. She wished she had the power to throw around to go and watch over Frisk after the incident, however something told her she was fine. A knock on the door causing her to look at it and stand up. Walking to the door as she opens it to see Frisk, Asriel, and Chara. All their hands full as Frisk sheepishly smiles at her mother whom's eye twitches slightly at the amount of bags, she looked up past them to see more in the vehicle they arrived on as Brax was currently smoking a cigarette from the driver door giving a wave.

"Do I even want to know Frisk?" Caroline asks as the three walk in, Frisk leading the way to her room.

"I… will explain once all this is atleast put down. Ah right here Asriel can you get the door please?" Frisk asks as she motions to her door at the end of the hall. Opening the door She leads them in before placing her bags on the bed. Asriel after placing the bags in his down on her bed. He glances around the room to see a few band posters, her bed was a basic one with a wooden box frame with drawers under it, blue sheets and a soft top blanket. She had her desk with a few different types of plush animals and monsters. He notices that she has a bit of a collection of foxes with a smirk.

"Like foxes eh?" Asriel asks teasingly causing Frisk to blush.

"T-They are cute!" Frisk says, Chara places the bags in his hands down at the foot of the bed.

"...this is not what I expected your room to be like. I was expecting it to be all girly despite your tomboyish looks…" Chara says getting a slight smack from Asriel. "Hey!"

"Eh I was never one for all that super feminine colors… I like a mix of warm and cool colors in neutral tones." Frisk says as she opens her closet to reveal how little outfits she actually had. "Least now I guess I should have a full wardrobe… thank you again Asriel." Chara watches as Asriel scratches the back of his head and gives a friendly embarrassed laugh. His jaw slightly drops as it clicks in his head.

"Now it makes sense…" Chara says taking his leave to get the other bags. Frisk follows after him to get the stuff in. Asriel looks around a bit more to see her dresser and closet seemed to be hand-crafted. She had a computer on the desk with her plushies, thankfully not against the computer. He steps out and goes to help Frisk and Chara out as the trio eventually finish. Placing down the game system box on her desk and placing the games next to her desk on bookshelves that were half empty still.

"Whoo, thats done. Asriel I know you wanna grab food, would it be possible for me to wash up first? You can head home to do so if you want as well…" Frisk says, however a voice calls out next as Caroline leans in the doorway.

"Going for food after here huh? Its good to see my sweet girl making good friends. So want to explain why you had so many bags…?" Caroline asks, wanting to hear it from Frisk.

"W-Well Asriel… kinda…" Frisk struggled to find her words, Caroline was smiling the whole time, she wasn't in the slightest bit angry.

"I felt like giving a little… granted it turned into a lot. I wanted her to know that I like to go out and spend my allowance on friends… I just got carried away." Asriel says as Caroline shakes her head with her smile.

"Its fine. You go wash up Frisk, Asriel if you'd like you can wash after her so you don't have delay your… date." Asriel's face flushes red as does Frisk as both look at Caroline.

"Mom!" Frisk yells as she quickly grabs and throws one her pillows at Caroline whom dodges and laughs and rushes down the hall with Frisk chasing after her grabbing the pillow from the floor and throws it down the hall. "You can't run forever mom!" She yells angrily. The laughter of Caroline echos in the house. Chara chuckles as he elbows Asriel before stepping away.

"I will send Brax back with some clothes for ya, enjoy your date Asriel." Chara says snickering.

"I-Its not a date!" Asriel cries out, though it wasn't long till he was waiting in the living room with Caroline as she places down some tea for Asriel before sitting down in her recliner. Asriel blows gently on the tea as he picks it up and looks to Caroline. "Thank you Ms. Caroline." Asriel says before she waves it off.

"Its fine. I was so happy to see Frisk smiling like that." Caroline says before taking a gentle sip of her tea. "I havn't seen her smile so happily in so long…" a loud sigh comes from Caroline as she looks at her tea. "It was almost like yesterday that she could fit in my arms. Now she has a handsome boy such as yourself looking after her, just make sure she is safe is all I ask…" Caroline says getting Asriel to frown.

"I… Look I know how it looks. Shes has definitely placed in my heart, for what I am not sure." Caroline nods as she knows what Asriel is saying.

"I know she has a place in your heart, somewhere very special. That is why I ask you to make sure she is safe." Asriel raises his eye at Caroline before looking at her directly.

"Why me though? Isn't that Sans' job?" Caroline shakes her head.

"Sans is a mediator for her and the Monster community, that was what Toriel told me." Caroline says. "From what your mother said, Sans was the only one possible, despite his past with I believe she said his mother?" Asriel nods.

"Yeah sounds right… then why…" Asriel shakes his head. "Never mind, I will take care of her. She needs a good friend to watch out for her after all." He says getting a smile from Caroline whom takes another sip of her tea. By the time the two finished their tea in silence, Asriel caught a glimpse at Frisk rushing into her room before she calls out.

"A-Asriel you can use the shower now…" Obviously a bit embarrassed that he was showering here, after all she never had a friend over, much less a boy.

"The towels are in the cabinet on the left, and if you should find plenty of fur-grade shampoo by the faucet knobs." Caroline says, letting Asriel blush and head to the bathroom. Walking in, the heat from the hotwater still in the air with a sweet scent of… peaches and elderberries. He closes the door as he turns on the shower. It wasn't much longer till Brax arrived with a change of clothes for him. Thankfully to Brax and not Chara's choice of clothing too; Asriel was wearing a purple T-shirt with black pants.

"Chara wanted me to send that one outfit you had made." Asriel rolls his eyes of course Chara would.

"Thank you for not Brax… We known each other for two days, a little fast for an actual date…" Brax nodded as Caroline chuckles.

"It is still nice to tease her. The few times she almost made friends she never interacted with them like you and from your mother, I hear your friends have also taken to her…" Caroline says with a smile. "Honestly, I was worried for her mental health, she never had friends growing up and here she is now making some… I wish Sans said you all could have seen her sooner…" Caroline says causing Asriel and Brax furrow their brow in question.

"Pardon me Caroline, what do you mean by that?" Brax asks. Caroline confused as she looks at him.

"Sans said that Frisk would best be off from most Human contact till she was seventeen, He didn't want her to stand out for her special case with magic. It was also why he suggested to wait for a teacher as it wasn't a good idea to teach an impressionable girl such as magic… D-Don't most Monsters start magic training at seventeen?" Caroline asks worried about potential misinformation.

"We learn as soon as signs start; Frisk might be able to recover most of her potential control… however her control and ability with magic would have been almost instinctual as my mother if she had started properly…" Asriel says as he frowns. "And Sans told us the city forbade it…" He says before Brax nodded.

"Toriel told me the same thing… but Sans was one of the main contacts for Frisk and…" Brax says before his eyes narrow dangerously. "This is a very serious ordeal… It seems Sans has withheld information from everyone. The question is how much does Gaster know in this case… Anyways let me deal with this investigation with Asgore." Brax says getting a nod from Caroline and Asriel.

Meanwhile with Frisk she was staring down a few of her outfits she had gotten today. Her heart pounding in her chest as she keeps glancing at the blue dress from earlier.

"Beautiful." Asriel's words echo in her head as she looks at it,

'I… I…' Frisk sighs as she looks at her outfits. Teina didn't go crazy with anything formal with a few dresses in her collection now hiding in the closet. They were much more extravagant than this one, Teina said this was casual attire after all… she glances at her other outfits she placed out. One was her common blue with purple stripe on the one sleeve. Another was a different attire all together. It consisted of a skirt that rested just above her knees in a dull red color, followed by a grayish-white long sleeve shirt, complete with a pair of black shoes, and… her face flushes as she looks at them a pair of thigh-high socks in a similar color as the shirt with stipes that matched the skirt.

'I don't know what to pick…' she thinks it over starting to reach over towards the skirt and shirt before sighing. 'Thigh high socks look so… comfy and yet the last time I saw anyone wearing them they were wearing short skirts and belly revealing clothing..' She shakes her head before she looks to the clothes.

'W-What would be good for Asriel to see me in…?' Her mind wanders back to Asriel...

It wasn't much longer till Frisk came out of her room, dressed in the blue dress from earlier with her hair pulled back into a pony tail. She couldn't wear the other one yet… she feared Asriel might not like it. Upon leaving her room and being seen by her mother, Caroline's eyes widen.

"Oh my goodness Frisk, You look amazing. Why wouldn't you ever try any of the dresses I got for you when you were younger?" Caroline asks with a pout. "Now your trying on dresses and wearing them for such a handsome young man…" Caroline says causing Frisk's face to flush deeply red.

"I-Its not like that mom… I just, never really…" Frisk tries to find a way out. She chose this cause Asriel said she was beautiful… something only Caroline and Alphys ever told her.

"I know dear.." Frisk suddenly feels Caroline's warm hug envelope her. "I am just teasing… it looks amazing on you." Caroline says as she looks to the front door. "Asriel and Brax went outside to talk for a moment while waiting on you. Go enjoy dinner." Caroline says sending Frisk whom listens to her and leaves the room. A frown on Caroline's face as she looks to the floor.

'I guess I really should tell her about the truth of me… tonight then… tonight she learns the truth of her mother… of me.'

Frisk walks outside to see Asriel and Brax standing by the car. She walks towards them, catching Asriel's eye as he smiles at her.

"Decided to wear the dress huh? Gotta say Frisk, It looks good on you, even more so with your hair pulled back." Frisk blushes as she looks away a bit.

"T-Thanks, I am ready to go eat now if you are…" Frisk says getting a nod from Asriel.

"Same, I am starved. We never even got to finish lunch today." Asriel says before looking back to Brax. "Brax you can go ahead and speak with my father about what we discussed earlier if you want. I know a place not too far so we can walk there."

"You sure Asriel?" Brax asks, a hint of uneasiness in his voice.

"Yeah, don't worry we will be fine." Brax gives a nod as he gives a bow to Frisk.

"Enjoy yourselves Prince Asriel, Madam Frisk." Brax says before standing and climbing into the vehicle and driving off. Asriel smirking as he looks at Frisk.

"You know, I keep seeing new things with you around. Brax never bows in farewell or greetings to just anyone, especially not after just a few days." Asriel says as he and Frisk start walking down the gentle sloped path, leading back into the vast land causes Frisk to think back to every where she had been in the past thirty-six hours, it was then she started to take note from the different areas shes been to how they were stylized… The city was weirdly a mega-city in its own fashion, the main central area was where businesses and schools reside, along side parks and other small things. Amongst the mountain range there was more she had yet to see, but there was some residential as she saw, and where she lived was along a coast, she knew there was import and export harbors, residental, and small grocery stores for necessities.

There was so much she wanted to learn more, and yet she felt so small in the world, her mind wandered to her earlier years, she felt so… so...

"Hey Frisk you alright?" Asriel asks, Frisk blinks a few times before she notices that they came to a stop and Asriel was looking with her, face full of worry.

"Huh? Oh I guess I kinda, zoned out. Sorry I was just…" Frisk glances away with a frown growing on her face. "Asriel, I. Can I ask you a question?" Asriel glances at her with a curious glance, but something about her sudden mood changed made him worry some.

"In honest truth… I am, your friend right? I have, a real friend right?… I am sorry, its just that I… I don't know, I fear if I don't find the truth now and if I get hurt again… I keep up an act for my mom and-" Frisk finds Asriel's finger on her lips. She saw him worried with a gentle smile.

"I am, I completely understand from what I heard of your past, I don't know how you managed to even smile at this point is beyond me… I do know that I want you to know, that I am, Teina and Fenor are your friends too. If they ever betrayed that friendship to you, they would have to do the same to me too." Asriel says as he lowers his hand. "I value honesty above all else…" Hypocrite echos in his mind. "But I value the kindness and care for my friends first and foremost." He finishes before pulling Frisk into a hug, her eyes watering up, as a smile, crept up on her face with such ease, as a fear weighting in the back of her mind fades away.

"Thank you Asriel…" She says returning the hug. "...I don't want to let go." Frisk's tears dampening Asriel's neck as he chuckles.

"If you don't want to, I don't mind." He says as he lets the girl before him finally let an emotional connection to someone other than her mother. She could have a friend… and Asriel felt a small twinge of sadness in his chest, however he knew right now it was her feelings he was looking out for. 'I will never understand how anyone would let this happen to someone.'

"Though if we stay like this too long we will miss out on food…" Asriel says, Frisk's stomach promptly grumbles loudly and powerfully as even Asriel could feel a slight vibration. Frisk's face quickly brightens in embarrassment.

"Y-Yeah perhaps food first… more hugs later?" Frisk says with a sheepish smile, Asriel could only nod and lead the way. Despite how it quickly devolved to him walking with her latched gently onto his arm. With little expedience with people, she likely never got many real hugs, and likely none from any real friend. They walked for a bit, some people watching them some as they walk by. Asriel gives a nervous chuckle.

"F-Frisk, while I don't mind it… think you could let go for a bit? People are looking at us." Asriel quietly speaks to Frisk getting her to look and notice the looks of passer-by Monsters. An amused and adored look on their faces. She looks up to Asriel, and tilts her head slightly. "W-Well normally if someone hangs onto someone like you are… at our age well…" Frisk's face slowly flushes as she lets go and blushes looking away embarrassed.

"I-I am so sorry Asriel… I-" A slight chuckle from Asriel.

"Don't fret Frisk, you didn't really notice." He says as they soon arrive at a small restaurant. Cook House Ruins was the sign above, it had a ruin vibe about it, yet it was lit up and the clambering of some dishes echo. They walk inside, and it the design caught Frisk's eyes as she saw a beautiful and skillfully designed tavern style restaurant. Once seated and with menus, Frisk also took note that it was not a drop of alcohol on the menu.

"This place is so…" Frisk looks around with a big smile on her face. "...cool, and its so close to my house, how did I never find this place before?" Frisk asks before Asriel chuckles.

"Well its hidden behind illusions, only those who know can enter. You came with me so you were allowed in as well. As a bonus you can now visit here whenever you want to eat here." He says as a waiter comes with a smile as she looks at the two.

"Good evening you two, what can I get you today?" Frisk looks down to the menu while Asriel gives a loud hum.

"I will take the spicy chicken with today's side dish and today's special on the drink." Asriel says getting the waiter to nod, She was dressed like a tavern wench before looking to Frisk.

"I will have uh, the fish with rice, and water to drink." Frisk says getting a nod from the waiter as she leaves. Frisk glances at the fact they still had the menus as Asriel sets his aside. "Do they not take the menus here?" Asriel looks at her and shakes his head.

"Nah, you hold onto it till your done." Asriel says. "So Frisk, what do you plan to do with your future now?" A hum comes the golden eyed girl as she closes her eyes. Frisk wasn't entire sure what to do with her future… what did she want to do? Numerous things come to mind as before she gives a slight sigh.

"I am not entirely sure yet, there is so much I can do, its hard to pick. I do want to help people, but I wouldn't want to hurt people though… you think that is possible?" Frisk asks, Asriel takes a sharp inhale, he knew far too well what being too nice can do. He wanted to explain the full truth now, but felt not only was it not right to tell her now, nor was he sure she was ready for it.

"Remember that fight at lunch today? My friends and I are too far familiar how it can be… you can try, and I will support you… just don't be surprised when your forced into a fight, and when you do… you have a choice to either survive or die." Asriel says looking away. He needed to tell her about his past, about his actions… because that is just a tip of what could happen if she accepted the offer, he told Teina and Fenor as well, he knew what happened was wrong, how it never should have happened.

Frisk's brow furrows in confusion, his words sounded like he himself experienced it, she opened her mouth to ask about it, however she slowly closed her mouth and shook her head. 'No. I shouldn't ask. If he wants to tell me he feels comfortable telling me.'

"What about yourself? What are your plans?" Frisk asks. Gives a shrug as he leans back in his seat.

"No real plans yet, I mean most Monsters now try many different things before they find out what they want. We do have the capacity to live for well over thousands of years after all." Asriel says, looking to the ceiling while Frisk frowns at his words.

'thousands of years? Do I even have a chance with someone like him then? I look human do I have the short life of a human then… would it be fair to make him live through that pain?' Frisk, a feeling of doubt of whether she even belongs around such.

"Though I don't plan to willingly live that long. I want to have a family one day after I finish school and find someone… I don't really want to watch friends and family come and go like most Monsters have." Asriel says looking back at Frisk, whom definitely looked at him curiously.

"What do you mean willingly?" Frisk asks, Asriel blinks confused.

"Oh wow, do… do you really not…? Oh okay, so Monsters don't age normally like humans, its because our bodies are mostly made of magic compounds. Its why we turn to dust when we die. However because of this, our souls also have a downside… we not only take enormous strain when having a child, granted its painless to our souls when a child is conceived. The rate a monster ages is relevant to the amount of power they have, less power shorter life-spans typically. There are some that bypass that; Sans' family for example. They fall into a type of undead Monster category their reproduction is a mystery to everyone really. Ghost types are another, but they don't reproduce as far as I know. Depending on your power of magic you could have a much longer than your average Monster with a family, typically we are called 'Boss' types for that reason. However when a child is born, the parents are giving up a link to support their soul and body until its matured enough to properly survive on its own, that being the cap of eighteen." Asriel says getting a nod from Frisk.

"Okay, so… once the child turns eighteen their souls can recover right?" Frisk asks, getting a frown with his head shake.

"No. After the connection breaks, it causes a rush of magic equal to what they gave over those years to backlash, it causes an instant drain of most of their magic and damages their ability to gather magic naturally anymore. Tops most parents get one to two years after that. A lucky few maybe four years." Asriel says. Frisk's eyes widen as she sits back in her seat.

"T-Thats… heartbreaking… no grandchildren, no seeing how far they can go in the future… that really…" Frisk couldn't find her words anymore getting a solemn nod from Asriel.

"Yeah… and the longer you do live, you get many regrets. So… unless somehow between now and then I change species while keeping my monster longevity I would rather not see the rise and fall of eras." Asriel says with a smile. Frisk gives a gentle smile back. She felt a small chance now, yet it was still a chance. Her eyes look up into Asriel's eyes, she felt like she was reading him as she saw his gentleness in them. However she could also see pain in them, A dark past event perhaps? Or maybe… a horrible accident with leftover scars.

She breaks the gaze before looking away with a blush, realizing she was caught starting into his eyes. He just smiles more as the two suddenly get interrupted by the waiter whom begins to place their food and drink onto the table.

"Sorry for the wait, here you go. If you need anything else feel free to let me know." The waiter says before leaving the two in silence whom both take in their meals' scent. Frisk's stomach grumbles excitedly with the smell of her fish fillets on her plate. Asriel's spicy chicken was also hitting her nose as she looks at both dishes with her mouth watering. Asriel beings to dig in as Frisk follows suit. While they had just started to eat, the silence between the two was starting to get a little thick, and Frisk was obviously looking a little worried and uncomfortable with it. Asriel mentally frowns as he realizes that the way his family eats now, doesn't really work well with Frisk.

"Your food good Frisk?" He asks striking up conversation. Getting a nod from her as she swallows her bite.

"Y-Yeah, sorry its just…" Asriel shakes his head.

"Its fine, I normally eat with my family and we… eat in silence as of late. Bad habit on my half." Asriel says clearing the air as he motioned to his chicken, seeing her eye it a bit. "Wanna try a bite?" He asks getting an unsure look from Frisk.

"You sure?" Asriel nods as he smiles at her.

"Yeah, I can always order more food. Remember its my treat." Asriel says before cutting the chicken in half and sliding onto Frisk's plate. Frisk blushes as she looks at him.

"W-Would you like to have some of my fish?" She offers feeling embarrassed at Asriel's actions. He gives an accepting nod as she gives him one of the fillets as the two eat enjoying their meal more. Taking a bite of the chicken the spice causes Frisk's eyes to water from the sudden heat.

"Haha… my bad should have warned you its rather spicy here." Frisk shook her head as she gets it down with a sigh of relief after.

"N-No its not that, it was good, however I didn't expect it to be that hot still.." Frisk says as she feels the physical heat still.

"Ah yeah your fish was on the cooler side I noticed. Well if you get sick I may as well too haha." Asriel says with a bright smile, Frisk smiles at him before joining with her own small laughter.

"Asriel, that wouldn't be nice to see!" Frisk laughs, Asriel smiles as his slows to a gentle chuckle.

"It is good to see you laugh. I seriously don't understand how someone so nice came from such a rough childhood." Asriel says getting Frisk's smile to turn one much weaker. "Frisk?"

"Honestly? For the longest time I felt that desire to hate… but I never could really say I hated anything besides being a picky eater when I was younger. But people? I always thought they were misunderstood… and yet it took my first seventeen years of life to make a friend. I know you admitted to being my friend, I just… maybe I want to know why…" Frisk says, she realizes she made things weird again as she looks away in shame. "Sorry. I guess I really suck at being a friend huh?"

"Not at all… I think its a shame that people let such raw potential of a wonderful soul go to waste." Asriel responds getting Frisk to blush. "As for why… I see someone whom not only could use a good friend, but someone I believe is going to be a great friend to have." Asriel says, Frisk felt a warmth to her cheeks, and a tear in her eye as she wipes it away she looks at him with a big smile.

"Each time I get all moody, I get cheered up by you… thank you Asriel. I.. I mean it. This is all so new to me and here you are taking your time with each step I take so far." Frisk says as she plays with her food. Asriel reaches out and touches her hand causing her to freeze.

"Frisk, just relax okay? There is no way you can screw this friendship up… I am more afraid of being the screw up." Asriel says getting Frisk to look at him curiously and frown.

'I don't believe you could screw this up Asriel…' "Lets finish our food before it gets cold…" Frisk says before the two return to their meal, it was calmer now as they enjoy the food before them. Ordering a second round as well as a few deserts the two after Asriel paid the decided it was time to head back.

Both satisfied from the heart meal, the two start heading back towards Frisk's home. Asriel figured he would hang out there and help Frisk get setup with her game system before heading home. Brax was never one to shy away from a late night drive. It was a relaxing time to take a drive after all.

"Thank you again Asriel, for everything." Frisk says following Asriel whom turns his head slightly to smile at her.

"You are welcome Frisk. I hope we can spend more time together again soon." He says catching Frisk off a bit as she blushes. "You know since we share classes, why not we study together more often? Fenor and Teina used, but I think they have other things going on lately." Asriel says. Frisk felt like protesting all this generosity… however she shook it off and smiles at him.

"I think… I would like that." Frisk says as they continue to walk down the path, Asriel seemed to notice how quiet it felt and something was not right.

"Hey Frisk lets-" Asriel starts to speak when suddenly a loud squeal of tires grinding against the asphalt road causing him to turn his head and see a car speeding down towards them with black tinted windows. "FRISK RUN!" He snaps his head back, Frisk jumps and does as she is told as she begins to start sprinting down the path, with Asriel following after…

Dreemurr home…

Chara stares at his ceiling, bored of his game as he listens to the heavy metal music echo from the portal game system's speakers before he sits up with a groan and looks out to the city. He had a weird feeling in his chest as he saw Brax's vehicle in the driveway. It had been atleast half an hour since he dropped of Frisk and Asriel and something was wrong in his gut.

'Maybe its just the fact I messed up and got Frisk hurt? It was my fault she intervened…' Chara sighs as he takes a seat at his desk when his phone began to ring. He raises an eye brow as he reaches out to see its Asriel. Answering his phone and places it to his ear.

"Asriel?" He asks as he hears exasperated gasps.

"Asriel just hold on. H-Hello?! C-Chara is that you!?" Frisk's voice comes through, fear in her voice.

"Frisk? What.. what is happening?"Chara asks as his chest feels tight. Her rapid breath easily heard as sounds of struggle is heard.

"W-We were attacked, A-Asriel is hurt bad! C-Come on stop bleeding damn it! Stop it! Why… why won't the blood stop…" Frisk's voice was breaking as sobs could be heard.

"H-Hold on okay?! Do your best I am on my-"

"There you two are! A human girl huh? Stop looking at me like that you piece of shit-" A loud bang is heard before the phone disconnects. Chara's feet begin to run as he screams down the stairs.

"Brax we have an emergency!" He screams as he rushes down stairs, and before he knew it him and Brax were currently speeding down the road, Brax had turned on a machine that put up a dot on a map as he drives the vehicle towards it. Chara fumbling as he manages to get the firearm Brax confiscated from him yesterday. His hands shaking with fear as he looks at him then Brax.

"Chara you need to breath. Your no good with your gun if you can't aim straight." Brax says sternly, his own anger burning in his eyes. His work, his second family was attacked and he'd be damned if he didn't move into action. Chara could only nod with fear in his chest.

"Yeah I know…" Chara says before taking a deep breath. He had to prepare himself for the worse…

Frisk and Asriel minutes before

Frisk and Asriel were running as a window rolls down from the car as several shots get fired at the two. Asriel moves to make sure if any shots land they hit him instead of Frisk as three solid hits land causing him to stumble. Frisk stops and rushes back to him before rushing down an alley way with him, his clothing growing wet with blood flowing freely from his chest, arm and his side. Frisk manages to get a good few feet as suddenly his weight all drops on her causing the two to fall to the ground. Frisk's chest is pounding as she sees Asriel's form covered in blood, his white fur turning into a vibrant red color from the crimson liquid. She tries her best to start to stem the flow from his chest as she sees his phone sticking out of his pocket.

"F-Frisk...r-run… l-leave me." Asriel says as she tries to get his phone with bloodied hands turning it on she tries to use his phone to make a phone call.

"I can't! I won't! I refuse to leave you to die like this Asriel, you said you wanted to study together! Go hang out more! I don't want to lose my first friend in some alley either, I don't want you to go!"Frisk cries as she manages to get to the contacts she sees Chara at the top as she quickly calls him as the phone rings. The car from earlier could still be heard as she sees it at a far road before it stops and starts to back up.

The ringing stops as a voice is heard.

"Asriel?" Chara's voice comes through. Asriel grunts as tries to push Frisk weakly away.

"G-Go Frisk!" He weakly says as Frisk shakes her head.

"Asriel just hold on." Frisk says as she turns and places the phone to her ear. "H-Hello?! C-Chara is that you!?" Frisk says as her voice carries through. Fear was filling her being… was this the end for her friend? For her? The car was already heading towards them and they were out of ways out of there.

"Frisk? What.. What is happening?" Chara responds as Frisk tries to keep her grip on the phone. Blood on her face as she pushes it against her face.

"W-We were attacked, A-Asriel is hurt bad!" Frisk says as she feels the crimson flow under her hands continue. "C-Come on stop bleeding damn it! Stop it! Why… why won't the blood stop." Frisk cries as she tries to put more pressure on the wound, with three there was no stopping the flow. Her efforts were failing and doing nothing as Frisk begins to sob as she pulls Asriel into her arms.

"H-Hold on Okay?! Do your best I am on my-"

"There you two are!" A human male walks up looking at the two with a confused look. "A human girl huh?" The man asks as he looks at Asriel with a smug and perverse look. Asriel, despite his state glares at the man with disgust and anger. "Stop looking at me like that you piece of shit!" He says as he quickly raises his gun and fires. It misses both but manages to hit the phone destroying it leaving Frisk to stare in fear at the phone then the man.

"Hey… your that bitch that my Lil'bro told me about…" He says getting a good look at Frisk as his face turns into a dark and disturbing look of pleasure. "You know for being with monsters, gotta say you came out rather good looking…" He says before frowing. "Too bad your not my type. I like them begging." He says before aiming his gun at Asriel's head. "Maybe I will spare him if you beg." Asriel's face turns to rage as his hand raises up, breaking into dust particles that begin to float away.

"3…" He says as he starts counting.

"F-Frisk don't…" Asriel quietly responds. The man growls as he looks at her angrily.

"ONE!" He says angrily as Frisk feels the unsure and terrified as the man begins to squeeze the trigger, barrel aimed at Asriel.

"Is this how you want it to end?" A voice echos in Frisk's head, Frisk finds herself in a gray void that shes floating around in. A light floats before her as she looks at it.

"uh? Who, wha?"Frisk responds curious about the voice suddenly.

"We have no time girl, answer the question." The voice replies getting Frisk to understand.

"N-No! I don't want Asriel to die… I don't want to die…'" Frisk responds to the voice as she feels the still world around her.

"No. I would not believe so… how far would you go to save him?"The light flickers with each word.

"H-How far?" Frisk asks, feeling she wouldn't like the answer.

"If you had to choose him to die or you… would you sacrifice him for you? If you had to kill to stop his death… would you be the one to pull the trigger on that gun if it was in your hands?" The light says as Frisk frowns.

"B-But to kill… means to end their chance at life." Frisk says with a frown.

"But if you don't you will be killed. This is the balance of life and death. The evil in some is not tame-able, and unfortunately some are too far gone." The light says. "Now answer. Would you kill an evil soul to save the one before you now?" Frisk stares at the light then to her side, she could see a picture of Asriel alive… even if he hates her for this… he would be alive. Toriel wouldn't lose a child. Chara wouldn't lose a brother. Teina and Fenor wouldn't lose a friend…

"If I had no other choice?" Frisk asks. "Yes. I would kill." She says quietly, but surely. A bright light shines as the light hums.

"Then I will help you save him…" The light grows more and more… and in the real world all of a sudden a bright light shines from Frisk as Asriel's eyes slowly close, Frisk looks into his eyes as he sees her bright golden eyes staring into his fading orbs. He smiles weakly as his hand moves to her as the Human whom attacked them covers his eyes as the light grows brighter and brighter. Two more emerge from the car but are quickly blinded as the light blinds all who look at it.

"What the fuck is-"a sickening splat is heard as the man is cutoff in the light, If anyone else was able to hear what happened next as two very sickening flesh ripping sounds come from towards the car as the light fades Asriel's breathing is shallow, his woulds healed, and unconscious as was Frisk whom held onto him tightly as the light slowly fades…

Frisk's mindscape.

"It seems your body wasn't able to handle the excess use of magic… apologies young one." The voice says as Frisk holds onto her own legs, curled up in a ball as she floats in the void of her mind.

"Did you… did you kill them?" Frisk asks her voice fearful of the answer as a small sigh comes from the light.

"I did, technically… we did. Your magic had to be use as mine is not accessible by you." It replies as Frisk grips her legs tighter.

"So we killed people… we ended life. Why must we…" Frisk murmurs as the light moves closer. Frisk feels the warmth from the light as she looks up at it.

"…" The light begins to shift and change before a black crow takes its place and lands on Frisk's leg. "Tell me, what is your goal in life." Frisk's face turns to a confused one

"I… don't know." The crow tilts its head.

"I see… it seems I made a hasty decision and made things harder on you, that was not my intention… I simply wished to help." Frisk found herself confused, she slowly uncurls as she sees the crow take off.

"...What are you?" The crow flaps its wings cheerfully.

"Now there is the question I was waiting for… You can call me; Heltin." Heltin says as they fly around to Frisk's shoulder. "Now I know the next; 'What are you' Well I am… in a simple way; a soul guardian. In a more complex simple way; I was awoken by your birth as I was to by my mother, whom was your aunt years ago." Heltin says as they stare infront of Frisk.

"My aunt?" Frisk asks, getting a nod from the crow.

"Yes. However now that you know I am here I have been… looking over your memories as far as I can." Heltin says as they shake their head.

"Wait you can do that?" Heltin nods as he looks at her.

"You are a diamond of willpower. Your name is Frisk correct?" Frisk nods her head as she looks at the crow fly off. "The- we have company…" A glimmer of the outside world fades in dimly as another vehicle drives up. The front two doors open to show Chara and Brax climbing out and rushing to the pair.

Chara rushes it out to see his eyes widen at the bloodbath before him. There was two human bodies torn to shreds as he saw a third missing his entire lower body, face in fear… he didn't die instant Chara knew that instantly as he looks at the face.

"Viol…" Chara says quietly as Brax walks up to Frisk and Asriel checking them over.

"Chara we should get out of here before more show up, Frisk and Asriel should be brought to either Alphys or Toriel now." Brax says getting a nod. Brax manages to pry Frisk from Asriel's still form before lifting him carefully. Chara lifts Frisk and notices her outfit stained with a copious amount of blood.

"T-This is all Asriel's blood…?" Chara says as he manages to carry Frisk to the car.

"Apparently…, his clothing would suggest he got shot atleast twice. He shouldn't even be alive…" Brax says with a quiet tone. Chara knew he was right as the pair climb into the vehicle before Brax slowly drives them out of the alley. Chara stares at his bloodied hands. "Chara?" Brax asks as he sees the teen's hands shake with the blood covering them.

"That was Viol's older brother… I… last time we spoke he said he got into a criminal group that he wanted me to join with him… but I never…" Chara's voice weak as he gives a growl "Viol put him up to this… he had to. I am going to make that bastard pay."

Brax comes to a stop at a light as he looks at Chara directly. The boy was staring angrily at his hands, soaked with his own brother's blood. However he had a more worrying thought is how Asriel survived… the amount of blood makes no sense for a monster… if they take fatal damage they should start to turn to dust rapidly while still alive… and yet he loss almost enough blood for a human to die. He glances to Frisk before he checks the light to see it turn green. 'Did Frisk do something…?' Gently pushing the thought away, how could she? She barely learned to access her magic yesterday.

Sometime later… Frisk's dreamscape

Frisk is sitting back against her desk chair in class as another boring class with Linda, she was spouting something about math, however Frisk had her mind filled with thoughts, She felt like it had been days since the incident… almost everything seemed alright except the empty seat next to her…

Suddenly a click is heard as she looks to the front to see Asriel walk in.

"Sorry for being late. Here is my note for excuse…" Asriel says leaving the note on Linda's desk whom scowls at him. Frisk feels herself growling in anger getting the student infront of her looks at her confused causing her to blush and look away embarrassed. Everything fel-

"Hey Frisk, you alright?" She turns her head to see Asriel setting his stuff down.

"Y-Yeah. How about you… you have been skipping classes more and more lately…" Frisk says as she looks at him he shakes his head.

"Its fine, don't wor-" She sees him suddenly stop as suddenly hes placing his stuff down again. "I can't really talk about it Frisk, Sorry." She tilts her head confused.

"Asriel what was that?" Asriel looks at her as he tilts his head.

"What?" He asks as she frowns.

"You were about to say don't worry about it after setting your stuff down then you were suddenly setting your stuff down again and said you can't talk about it." She says confronting him as he raises his hands.

"Frisk I dont-" He starts when suddenly his pose chases to him glaring in an instant his arms barely holding his chair in a standing position. "You need to keep to yourself Frisk, Your really pushing it." He says with an annoyed tone. Frisk looks to Fenor and Teina to see them gone, Everyone was gone as suddenly

"F-Frisk r-run!" His voice echos as their in the alley again Asriel bleeding out before him as he suddenly is before Frisk bleeding as he walks towards her. "YOU DID THIS!" He screams before he spastics out holding the girl Penny by the throat as he glares at her. "I hate humans, Its your fault I nearly died!" He screams as he chokes before hes suddenly she is staring up at the sky, Two Asriels stand over her. One crying… the other glaring.

"Its my/your fault." They speak at the same time as Frisk sees one glitch of Asriel's eyes glaring directly as she feels his hands around her throat.

"Gaster her heart-rate, and soul's magic's waves are beyond choatic, its like they are…" A yellow reptilian monster at no more than four foot three height as her massive tail hangs out beneath her white lab coat as she adjusts her glasses to look at Gaster whom frowns.

Frisk lies on a medical bed in her underwear as small white pads stick to her with wires going into a machine, then a few from her core of her body going to a dark blue crystal that then is connected to another machine.

"These readings only gotten worse when Asriel awoke and left…" Gaster says as his eyes widen. "Alphys send for Asriel now, I pray this is not a problem… however Frisk's soul may now be linked to Asriel's new state of existence." He says as looks at the reptile with fear in his eyes.

"O-Okay, I will get on that right away." Alphys says as she walks away her large feet making a plap sounds as she quickly rushes away.

'Frisk, what the hell happened…' Gaster thinks as his hands fly about holding instruments and getting readings of her as he calmly holds his own hand to her chest as a red heart shape soul floats above her chest, it pulses with a gentle outline. A book flies up with one of his hands holding it to a current page of a similar look, his chest sinks with worry hoping that this is not the end for Frisk...
