Episode 418: Clash of the Skunk Pokémon
We open up with a truck with a Team Galactic logo on the side. Jupiter is sitting in the passenger's seat as one of the grunts is driving. In the back, there are several more Team Galactic grunts.
Sitting with Jupiter is a medium-sized mammalian Pokémon that resembles a skunk with a cat-like face. It has purple, spiky fur with several tan stripes. It has furry purple tufts on the sides of the Pokémon's face. Its legs are tan, and the tan coloration of its underside now forms a spiky pattern. Its nose is larger than Stunky. Its massive tail, which has a cream-colored stripe, sits on top of its back and head. This Pokémon is known as Stuntank.
"Commander Jupiter, if I may ask, but where is the logic in stealing Pokémon from other Trainers in Eterna City? This whole thing does not fit in with our plans at all," the Team Galactic frunt said.
"The logic is to show everyone that Team Galactic is so ruthless, we're not even above stealing Pokémon. We'll make all of Sinnoh afraid of Team Galactic. That fits well with my plans, so you better make sure you get it or else you're gonna find out if Stuntank's stench is worse than Stunky's," Jupiter said.
"Yes, Commander Jupiter. I understand. I won't ever question you again," the Team Galactic grunt said with fear.
"Good. Now, shut up and keep driving," Jupiter said.
And he kept on driving the Team Galactic truck, heading for Eterna City.
It was now Lucas's turn for his Gym battle against Gardenia. He has trained hard for this match and it was totally worth the wait. He wanted to give it everything he had after watching Sora and Roxas have their battles. The rest of the group all sat in the bleachers as Lucas and Gardenia were about to begin their battle. Before they made it over to the Pokémon Center, Sora exchanged Skorupi for Stunky.
"The battle between the Gym Leader Gardenia and Lucas from Twinleaf Town is about to begin! Each Trainer will be using three Pokémon each! Only the challenger will be allowed to make substitutions! Choose your first Pokémon and begin!" Yoko called out.
"Nuzleaf!" Nuzleaf said. Gardenia took out her first Pokéball and threw it.
"Alright, Chertim! Go!" Gardenia called out. Cherrim came out in its Overcast Form and changed to its Sunshine Form due to the sunlight. Lucas took his Pokéball out and threw it.
"Okay, Starly! You're first!" Lucas called out. Starly emerged from inside, ready to battle. "Okay, Starly! Start up with Wing Attack!" Starly came at Cherrim with a Wing Attack.
"Magical Leaf!" Gardenia ordered. Cherrim unleashed Magical Leaf and sends it right at the Starling Pokémon.
"Use your wings to block it!" Lucas called out. Starly uses its wings to block Cherrim's Magical Leaf.
"Look at that! Starly used Wing Attack to block Magical Leaf!" Elaine said.
"Clearly Lucas knew Magical cannot be dodged, but it can be blocked. He clearly did his homework," Wes said.
"I see what you did there. You threw me off by attacking, but you used attack as a shield. Very creative. But here's an attack Starly's wings can't block. Solar Beam!" Gardenia ordered. Cherrim fired Solar Beam at the Starling Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Aerial Ace!" Lucas ordered. Starly managed to dodge Cherrim's Solar Beam and lands a hit with Aerial Ace. Starly lands a hit with Aerial Ace. "Great dodge, Starly!"
"Starly!" Starly said as it started to evolve. Starly was now a Staravia. "Staravia!"
"Wow, look at that! His Starly just became a Staravia!" Dawn said.
"The tables seems to have turned," Izzy said.
Meanwhile, in a different part of Eterna City, Jupiter is leading a squadron of Team Galactic exited from a truck.
"Commander Jupiter, the plan is ready to go," one of the Team Galactic grunts said.
"Excellent. Let's get this operation underway," Jupiter said.
Team Galactic came across some Trainers over at a small cafe with their Pokémon out. Just then, the Team Galactic grunts arrived and took out some smoke bombs and threw them. They explode in mid-air, covering their activities. Once the smoke has cleared, they saw that their Pokémon have all vanished.
"Someone call the police!" A random woman shouted.
Back at the Gym, Lucas points forward.
"Okay, Staravia! Aerial Ace!" Lucas ordered. Staravia dashed right at Cherrim with an Aerial Ace.
"Use Solar Beam!" Gardenia ordered. Just when it reverts to its Overcast Form. That was because of the clouds up above. Staravia lands a successful Aerial Ace, resulting in a knockout.
"Cherrim is unable to battle! Staravia wins!" Yoko announced.
"Leaf!" Nuzleaf said.
"Great job, Staravia!" Lucas said.
"Staravia!" Staravia said.
"I wasn't expecting Lucas's Staravia to evolve just like that," Lyra said.
"Rill," Marill said.
"Me neither. I guess it has a lot to do with all that training Lucas has been doing," Ethan said.
"It's really paying off," Dawn said.
"Piplup!" Piplup said.
Gardenia calls her Cherrim back and smiled.
"You were wonderful today, Cherrim. You've earned a well-deserved rest," Gardenia said. She took out her next Pokéball and threw it. "Okay, Turtwig! You're up next!" Her Pokéball opened up. Turtwig emerged from inside, ready to battle. Lucas smiled.
"I was hoping she'd send out her Turtwig next. Better make the switch now," Lucas said in his thoughts. He called his Staravia back and took out his next Pokéball and threw it. "Chimchar! Go!" His Pokéball opened and his Chimchar emerged from inside, ready to battle.
"You think I'm not ready for your Fire-type Pokémon? Think again. Turtwig! Leaf Storm!" Gardenia ordered. Turtwig unleashes a powerful Leaf Storm and send it right at the Chimp Pokémon.
"Up in the trees, Chimchar!" Lucas called out. Chimchar quickly jumped in the trees to avoid Turtwig's Leaf Storm.
"There is no place for you to hide in my Gym! Not after my battle against Sora!" Gardenia said. "Aim your Leaf Storm in the trees!" Turtwig sends the leaves over to the trees.
"Jump out, now!" Lucas called out. Chimchar jumped out of the trees as Turtwig's Leaf Storm cuts the leaves off the trees. "Use Power-Up Punch!" Chimchar lands a Power-Up Punch on Turtwig, building up his attack power. "Flame Wheel!" Chimchar plowed into Turtwig. It deals super-effective damage on the Tiny Leaf Pokémon. Chimchar then let's out a Flamethrower, same as Sora's Chimchar, dealing additional damage.
"Hey, that's Flamethrower!" Joe said.
"Lucas's Chimchar has just learned to use Flamethrower!" Wes said.
"It looks like it's a good way to turn it around," Leaf said.
"Okay, Chimchar! Flame Wheel!" Lucas called out. Chimchar rolled into a ball of fire and plowed right into the Tiny Leaf Pokémon. Turtwig struggled to stay up, but fell back down in exhaustion.
"Turtwig is unable to battle! Chimchar wins!" Yoko announced.
"Nuzleaf!" Nuzleaf said.
"And that's two down, one to go," Dawn said.
"And we all know what that Pokémon is," Cody said. Everyone all agreed with Cody on that one. Gardenia called her Turtwig back and took out her next Pokéball and threw it.
"Roserade! Go!" Gardenia called out. Her Pokéball opened and her Roserade emerged from inside.
Lucas saw Chimchar was panting in exhaustion. Lucas knew Chimchar has gotten himself tired from the battle against Turtwig. Lucas must have figured it was from Flamethrower and Flame Wheel. Also he knew Gardenia would use her Rain Dance plan against any Fire-types he has at his disposal, but he has another ace up his sleeve. He called Chimchar back to rest as he took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"You're going in now, Zubat!" Lucas called out. His Pokéball opened and his Zubat emerged from inside, ready to battle.
"Why did Lucas make a switch with Zubat?" Davis asked.
"Davis, if you remember, her Roserade knows Rain Dance and Weather Ball. And you know Chimchar is weak against Water-type attacks," Yolei said.
"She's right, Davis. She pulled that trick on me and Sora," Roxas said.
"Oh, yeah," Davis sheepishly said.
"Okay, Zubat, I'm gonna need you to be ready for anything that comes your way," Lucas said. The Bat Pokémon nodded."Start up with Air Cutter!" Zubat unleashed Air Cutter and sends it right at the Bouquet Pokémon. It was hit before Roserade could react.
"Good effort, Lucas. But you should know by now it'll take more than a Flying-type attack to beat my Roserade. Also, my Roserade isn't going to go down that easily," Gardenia said.
"I was planning to do it the hard way anyway," Lucas said. He points forward. "Zubat! Wing Attack!" Zubat flew toward Roserade.
"Dodge and use Weather Ball!" Gardenia ordered. Gardenia dodges Zubat's Air Cutter and sends out a Fire-type Weather Ball and sends it right at Zubat. The fireball came too fast for Zubat to dodge it. Zubat has taken a lot of damage from Roserade's Weather Ball. "Petal Dance!" Roserade unleashed Petal Dance and struck Zubat on the mark, resulting in a knockout.
"Zubat is unable to battle! Roserade wins!" Yoko announced.
"Nuz!" Nuzleaf said.
"And Gardenia is making a comeback," Yolei said.
"Yeah, she's starting to push back," Sora said
"Chu," Pikachu said.
Lucas called back his Zubat.
"You did your best, Zubat. You should rest up for tight now," Lucas said. He took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Staravia! You're going back out to battle!" Lucas called out. Staravia came back out to battle. "Okay, Staravia! Wing Attack!" Lucas ordered.
"Dodge it, Roserade!" Gardenia called out. Roserade tried to dodge, but Staravia came too fast to dodge in time. "Wing Attack again!" Staravia lands another Wing Attack on Roserade and then another. Staravia lands one more Wing Attack on the Bouquet Pokémon. "Use Aerial Ace!"
"Weather Ball!" Gardenia ordered. Roserade unleashed another Fire-type Weather Ball and sends it right at Staravia. The Starling Pokémon made contact with the ball of fire, resulting in an explosion. Staravia has taken loads of damage from it. "Rain Dance!" Roserade summons a rain cloud, making it rain. "Weather Ball!" Roserade sends out Weather Ball and hits Staravia before Lucas could act. And that results in a knockout.
"Staravia is unable to battle! Roserade wins!" Yoko announced.
"Leaf!" Nuzleaf said.
"Lucas is down to only Chimchar. I wonder if Lucas will be able to pull off a miracle like Sora did," Kris said.
"Only one way to find out," Tai said. Lucas called back his Staravia and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Chimchar! You're going back out to battle!" Lucas called out. His Pokéball opened and Chimchar came back out to battle. "I gotta figure out a way to land a hit onto Roserade. Chaimchar's Fire-type attacks aren't gonna do much because of Rain Dance. Gotta think," Lucas said as he thinks very hard. He thought of an idea. He looked up at the cloud. "Maybe. It's a long shot, but I gotta try it. Flamethrower, Chimchar! But aim for that cloud!" Everyone was puzzled by what Lucas told his partner what to do, but Chimchar complied by firing Flamethrower into the cloud.
"What is he thinking?! It's scientifically impossible! One cannot burn a cloud!" Izzy said.
"He must be planning something epic," Matt said.
Chimchar kept firing Flamethrower in the cloud until it has stopped raining. The cloud then turns into a fog of steam. The rain ceases
"Are you seeing what I'm seeing?!" TK exclaimed.
"I'm seeing it, TK! He was making it hot for that cloud, and he pulled it off!" Chase said.
"Of course! I see it now! He was creating steam! Since clouds are made from air and water particles, mixing fire into it, creating steam!" Izzy said.
"Wow, I didn't think that was possible," Joe said.
"Neither did I. Lucas is something else," Ken said.
The steam has created a thick fog, so it was difficult for Roserade to see its opponent. Chimchar can hear Roserade's breating and movements, so he jumped in the trees, knowing Roserade will hear Chimchar's movement on the ground.
"Can't see a thing. It's thick as pea soup," Gardenia said.
"Use Flame Wheel!" Lucas called out. Hearing Lucas's voice, the Chimp Pokémon jumped off the tree and plowed right into Roserade. "Flamethrower! Full power!" Chimchar fired a much more powerful Flamethrower and lands a hit onto Roserade. The Bouquet Pokémon has taken such heavy damage, so Roserade fell to the ground, beaten.
"Roserade is unable to battle! Chimchar wins! The winner is Lucas from Twinleaf Town!" Yoko announced.
"Nuzleaf, Nuz!" Nuzleaf said.
"We did it!" Lucas exclaimed.
"Chimchar!" Chimchar cheered.
"That was awesome!" Dawn said.
"Piplup!" Piplup said.
"Now all three of us won against Gardenia," Kairi said.
"That's true. All three with their second Gym Badges," Xion said. Gardenia called back her Roserade and smiled.
"You were amazing, Roserade. You've earned a good rest," Gardenia said. She approached Lucas with a smile as well. "That was a great battle, Lucas. The way you used that Flamethrower to tuen my rain into steam was genius. you took me completely by surprise. And so, as proof of your victory here in the Eterna City Gym, I hereby present you the Forest Badge." She hands Lucas his second Gym Badge.
"Thanks a lot, Gardenia. I had a blast battling you," Lucas said.
"As did I. Now that all three of you have earned a Forest Badge from me, you're all gonna try your luck at Hearthome City?" Gardenia asked.
"Yeah. And we all already know she uses Ghost-type Pokémon, so the Pokémon we would have to use would be Dark-types," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
That's a smart move to make, but chances are, Fantina may not be at her Gym since it's likely she'll be judging Pokémon Contests. And even if you're lucky to catch her there, Fantina is nothing to sneeze at. Her Ghost-types are scary strong," Gardenia said.
"We're going to tae your word for it," Roxas said.
"Pika," Xipak said.
Just when they were about to return to the Pokémon Center, a couple of Team Galactic grunts arrived.
"Hold it right there!" A Team Galactic grunt said. They turned to see the grunts. "You're not going anywhere!"
"Team Galactic!" Lucas gasped.
"What do you want?" Kairi asked.
"We want your Pokémon, that's what," the second Team Galactic grunt said. They were all shocked when they heard them say it.
"You want our Pokémon?!" Sora exclaimed.
"That is ludicrous! There is no way we would ever comply with the likes of you!" Izzy said.
"You don't have a say in the matter. We're going to get them by force if necessary!" The first Team Galactic grunt said. They took their Pokéballs and threw them. The Pokéballs opened to reveal two Murkrow inside.
"If it's by force, then you asked for it!" Sora said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Buizel! Go!" His Pokéball opened and Buizel emerged from inside.'
"Bui, Bui!" Buizel said.
"Murkrow! Use Steel Wing!" The grunts ordered. The two Murkrow flew toward the Sea Weasel Pokémon.
"Okay, Buizel! Aqua Jet!" Sora ordered. Buizel uses Aqua Jet on the crow-like Pokémon, hitting them both. "Sonic Boom!" Buizel unleashes Sonic Boom on the Darkness Pokémon, knocking them both out.
"That's a strong Buizel!" The first Team Galactic grunt said.
"Commander Jupiter is going to have our heads on a silver plate when she hears we blew it again," the second Team Galactic grunt said.
"You're right about that!" The first Team Galactic grunt agreed. "Let's get out of here!" They fled in fear.
"I can't believe Team Galactic just sunk low to stealing other people's Pokémon! That's a low blow!" Davis said.
"You're right, Davis. They crossed the line," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"We can't let this stand. I'm going to teach these Team Galactic yahoos a lesson they won't forget," Gardenia said.
"But your Pokémon are injured in battle, aren't they?" Dawn asked.
"Just Cherrim, Turtwig, and Roserade, but I have some other Grass-types, too. I have been meaning to switch it up, but it looks like I have no choice but to lend a hand," Gardenia said, taking out her Pokéballs and threw them. "Tangela, Leafeon, Cacnea! I choose you!" Her Pokéballs opened and her Tangela, Leafeon, and Cacnea emerged from inside.
With Gardenia helping them, they spread all through Eterna City and they battled any Team Galactic grunt they came across.
"Shadow Ball!" A female Team Galactic grunt ordered. Her Beautifly fired a Shadow Ball right at the.
"Cacturne! Mega Punch!" Mimi ordered. Cacturne lands a Mega Punch on the Butterfly Pokémon.
"Psybeam!" Another female Team Galactic grunt ordered. Her Dustox fired a Psybeam and sends it right at Matt's Arcanine.
"Dodge it and use your Flamethrower!" Matt ordered. Arcanine unleashed Flamethrower, hitting the Dustox.
The group battled hard against Team Galactic, defeating every grunt they came across. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel came across Jupiter who is carrying a burlap sack over her shoulder.
"Let me guess, you're Jupiter, aren't you?" Sora asked.
"You sure hit the nail on the head there, kid," Jupiter said.
"Skuntank," Skuntank said. Sora looked at Jupiter's Skuntank and took out his Rotom Phone to scan it.

The evolved form of Stunky
Type: Poison/Dark
Skuntank sprays a vile-smelling fluid from the tip of its tail in order to attack. The fluid smells worse the longer it is allowed to fester.
"Stunky's evolved form," Sora said. He took out his Pokéball and threw it. "Come out, Stunky!" His Pokéball opened and Stunky came out with a swirl of stars. Stunky glared at his evolved form just to be stared back by Skuntank.
"Ooh, a Shiny Stunky. I'm so not impressed," Jupiter said.
"Look, Jupiter, I don't know what your game is, but it stops right now! Give back the Pokémon you stole!" Sora demanded.
"Why should I? How about you hand me all of those, including that little Stunky of yours?" Jupiter asked.
"Not on your life!" Sora said.
"You're not getting a single one from any of us!" Kairi said.
"Can't blame a girl for trying, can you? I'll tell you what. You beat me, and I give them back. All of them. What do you say?" Jupiter asked.
"We're getting those Pokémon back one way or another," Sora said.
"We're gonna see about that, won't we, kids?" Jupiter asked. She turned to her Skuntank. "Flamethrower, Skuntank!" Skuntank fired a Flamethrower right at Stunky, who only dodged the fire attack. "Stunky! Fury Swipes!" Stunky came at his evolved form and slashed at Skuntank with Fury Swipes.
"Knock down that runt with Night Slash!" Jupiter ordered. Skunktank swings its claw at the Shiny Skunk Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Night Slash!" Sora ordered. Stunky dodged Skuntank's Night Slash and lands his own Night Slash. "Your Skuntank might be stronger than my Stunky, but my Stunky is way faster than your slow Skuntank!"
"You got one right, kid. But speed alone isn't going to help you," Jupiter said. "Skuntank! Sludge Bomb!" Skuntank spat out a Sludge Bomb, hitting Stunky on the mark. "My Skuntank has a good sense of timing." She chuckled. "Finish it off and then bring it to me!" Skunktank slowly approaches Stunky. Kairi was about to intervene when Roxas came around.
"Aqua Jet, Buizel!" Rxas ordered. Roxas's Buizel came and rescued Stunky from Skuntank.
"Why you little-! Skuntank! Flamethrower!" Jupiter ordered.
"Water Gun!" Roxas ordered. Roxas's Buizel fired Water Gun, blocking Skuntank's Flamethrower.
"Keep it up!" Jupiter said as she noticed the burlap sack was floating away. "What the?!" It was Wes's Espeon using Psychic to pull in the Pokéballs.
"Too bad for you, Team Galactic! We've beaten so many of your goons! You've lost!" Wes boasted. He grinned. "And that isn't all!" Just then, Officer Jenny and her own Stunky came to the scene.
"You're under arrest for Pokémon theft!" Officer Jenny said.
"I don't think so! Smokescreen!" Jupiter ordered. Skuntank unleashed black smoke from its mouth.
"Blow that smoke away with Sonic Boom!" Roxas ordered. Roxas's Buizel blew the smoke with a Sonic Boom. They saw Jupiter and her Skuntank were gone. "Where did she go?"
"I don't know, but she isn't going to get away with this," Sora said. He approached his Stunky and picked the Shiny Skunk Pokémon up in his arms. "You okay, Stunky?"
"Stunky," Sora's Stunky said.
"Hey, don't let it get you down. You're gonna get your chance against that Skuntank another time," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu assured the Shiny Skunk Pokémon. Sora's Stunky couldn't stop thinking about Skuntank. He vowed he was going to take down that one Skuntank one way or another.
Team Galactic had escaped in their truck, fleeing Eterna City. Jupiter was pouting over how she lost the Pokéballs.
"I can't believe I let all of those Pokémon slip through my fingers. I could have gone with one of them," Jupiter said. She receives a transmission from HQ, and it is Saturn on the screen. "Saturn, nice of you to call."
"I take it that you failed what you were going to do, Jupiter," Saturn said.
"So you know, huh? I could have gotten a hold of some neat Pokémon, and I was close to it, it was literally within my fingertips," Jupiter said.
"Tell me that you at least made an attempt to get a hold of the Adamant Orb," Saturn said.
"I was too focus on my thing," Jupiter said.
"Need I remind you that Master Cyrus's interests is only in creating a brand new world? We needn't to concern ourselves with some frivolous things such as additional Pokémon as your accessories," Saturn said.
"I know, I know. We're on our way back anyway," Jupiter said.
"I hope the ride will give you all the time you need to think about your failures. In the near future, be more careful," Saturn said.
"Yeah, yeah," Jupiter said in a bored daze.
"Don't yeah, yeah me! And don't ever go off on our own like that again," Saturn said.
"I won't. I promise, and sorry," Jupiter said, breaking contact. "Geez, that Saturn spends a lot of time kissing Cyrus's ass, it's not even funny. I just hope our new world is going to be worth it," Jupiter said.
Over to Team Galactic HQ, Saturn entered Cyrus's quarters. The leader of Team Galactic sat in his chair.
"Have you come to bring me good news, Saturn?" Cyrus asked.
"Regretfully, Jupiter has gone off for her own personal gain. She has made no attempt to retrieve the Adamant Orb whatsoever," Saturn said.
"I see. What of the research on the Lake Guardians? Have you made any progress?" Cyrus asked.
"It is still underway. Charon is still at it, though I don't know what goes through his mind," Saturn said.
"You don't trust him, do you?" Cyrus asked.
"I didn't say that, Master Cyrus. It's just, he seems to be keeping some certain things to himself, and enjoys it," Saturn said.
"Don't let it concern you. Once our ideal world is completed, we will no longer be bound to any emotions," Cyrus said.
"I await for that day to come, sir. I have made my report, so if you excuse me," Saturn said, taking his leave. Cyrus says nothing as he opens his book, looking into a page of ancient Hisui. The image of Palkia and Dialga in their Origin Forms are displayed.
Back in Eterna City, the group entered the Pokémon Center as Stunky is returned to Sora. Also, Lucas had his Pokémon checked in to recover from their injuries from battle.
"Your Stunky is now all better," Nurse Joy said.
"Thanks for healing my Stunky, Nurse Joy," Sora said.
"It was my pleasure," Nurse Joy said with a smiled.
"Now that our Pokémon are all better, we can take off whenever we're ready," Ash said.
"Yeah, let's go," Sora said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Roxas, Xion, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Lucas, Dawn, Wes, Rui, the DigiDestined, Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, Celeste, Marill, Volt, Maple, and Piplup have taken their leave of Eterna City and began to head for their next destination: Hearthome City. And it was there that a Gym is located there, and there is a Pokémon Contest being held there. And there are some more adventures coming their way.
