Episode 449: The Riolu With Aura Sphere Part 2
Where we last left off, a Riolu was liberated from a laboratory by a pair of men who were pretending to be from the Lucario Kingdom, but uses the power of aura to overhear their conversation and then uses Aura Sphere to make his escape from his second kidnappers, but the boss wasn't willing to call it quits as he has recruited the help of Pokémon Hunter J to capture Riolu.
But a Pokémon Ranger by the name of Kellyn was given the assignment of returning Riolu back home to the Lucario Kingdom and prevent him from being captured by the ruthless Pokémon Hunter.
Meanwhile, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel have come across Takuya, Koji, JP, Zoe, Tommy, Koichi, Mime Jr, and Munchlax before they bumped into this special Riolu and Kellyn. But unfortunately, the arrival of Pokémon Hunter J and her crew couldn't have come at the worst possible time.
As they made their escape by river, J's thugs sends out a group of Sharpedo to attack them, and J herself came to retrieve Riolu, but managed to fall over a waterfall, trying to retrieve his wooden doll. But it was Sora who managed to save Riolu and made an attempt to get away, but Hunter J resorted to a more drastic measure by setting the entire forest on fire, leading up to another confrontation with the evil Pokémon Hunter once again. And this is where we will continue.
Sora rolled before getting back up on his feet. Sora quickly summoned his Kingdom Key and held it.
"Water!" Sora shouted, casting a water spell, putting out some of the flames. "Prinplup! Hydro Pump!" Prinplup fired at the flames with Hydro Pump, aking a path. "Riolu! Run!" Riolu started to run along with Sora, Pikachu, and Prinplup.
"I think not!" J said, aiming her mechanical arm. She fired her laser, turning Riolu to stone, much to Sora's horror.
"No!" Sora exclaimed.
"I spared Riolu from the fury of the flames, but it's almost too bad I won't do the same for you," J said.
"You won't get away with this, J," Sora said.
"I already have. Salamence! Hyper Beam!" J ordered. Salamence fired Hyper Beam at Sora and his two Pokémon, so Sora quickly called back Prinplup as Pikachu hopped on his shoulders. Sora jumped as high as he can jump to avoid the devastating blast from Hyper Beam. "Flamethrower!" The Dragon Pokémon fired Flamethrower at Sora and Pikachu, but Sora managed to dodge it just before the fire attack could get to him. "Mission complete. Retrieve the target."
Meanwhile, Kairi, Takuya, Koji, JP, Zoe, Tommy, Koichi, Kellyn, Angel, Mime Jr, and Munchlax helped the wild Pokémon out of the fire to safety.
"Over here! Hurry!" Kairi said. The remaining Pokémon got out of the raging inferno just in time. Kellyn noticed three Blastoise are among the Pokémon living in the forest and he gets an idea. "Blastoise, I'm going to need your help. Capture on!" He does thing thing with the three Blastoise. "Capture complete! Use Rain Dance!" The Blastoise shot balls of water right into the sky, creating a massive rain cloud. It began to rain, putting out the fire.
Over to Sora and Pikachu, they came out of their hiding place and sighed with relief, knowing this was Kellyn's handy work.
"Rain Dance. Thank you, Kellyn," Sora said. He saw the truck loading Riolu in one of them.
"Retrieval complete. Prepare to transport the target," J's second-in-command said.
"Sir!" The thugs said.
"Those are J's goons alright. Better make my message clear," Sora said, summoning his Kingdom Key and fired a blizzard spell, surprising the thugs.
"You!" J's second-in-command hissed.
"Don't even try it!" Sora said, pointing his Keyblade at him, making him stop. "I'm only here to deliver a message." J's second-in-command growled. J retrieves a transmission, shocked and annoyed to see Sora still alive.
"Impossible! How did you survive that?!" J exclaimed.
"Now, let's not nosy. But listen up! As long as there are Pokémon Hunters like you, I'm always going to be a problem for you! And sooner or later, you will get your comeuppance! They always do! And maybe I'll place you in a place not even I can even get to you! We're going to get Riolu back, and you'll lose another customer! Just wait and see!" He ends the transmission by hitting it with his Kingdom Key.
"Annoying pest!" J hissed.
"I said what I needed to say," Sora said.
"Get him!" J's second-in-command ordered, but Sora summoned a powerful tornado, blowing them into the ship.
"I'm sorry, Riolu, but I don't have a plan to get you out of there, but I will. Just stay connected with me through your aura, just so I will know where you are," Sora said through his aura. Even as stone, Riolu hears Sora's voice, promising him to help when he can. He and Pikachu met up with Kairi, Takuya, Koji, JP, Zoe, Tommy, Koichi, Kellyn, Angel, Mime Jr, and Munchlax.
"Sora! Thank goodness you're okay," Kairi said.
"Sorry for making you worry like that," Sora said.
"I always worry about you, Sora, and I did tell you it'll get worse, didn't I?" Kairi reminded her boyfriend.
"Where's Riolu?" Kellyn asked.
"Sorry, Kellyn. Hunter J got to Riolu and she's already heading for her client," Sora said.
"No," Tommy said.
"But the good news is, I told Riolu to stay connected to me. That way, no matter where J is taking him, we'll know where to go," Sora said.
"Why didn't you just get Riolu out when you had the chance?" Koji asked.
"There was a chance J's airship was going to be taking off, so I didn't have a plan for getting off, so I didn't board it this time," Sora said.
"You did the right thing, Sora. There was nothing you could have done," Kellyn said.
Aboard J's ship, she made contact with her client.
"Most impressive you have carried out your assignment as promised, Hunter J. It was a wise decision to hire you after all," the boss said.
"There is the matter of payment," J said.
"Ah, yes. First, I would like to see Riolu move with my own eyes," the boss requested.
"Of course," J said, turning down the dial down to allow Riolu's head to move. Riolu growled at the boss.
"It's the real thing alright. I'll arrange to make the payment right away," the boss said.
"I'll meet you at the rendezvous point," J said.
Back below, Kellyn retrieved a transmission from Solana.
"This is Kellyn," Kellyn said.
"I'm sorry, Kellyn. We managed to lose J's client. He managed to slip from our grasp just a little while before we arrived. And the man we had on the inside was made out and he was killed," Solana said.
"I'm afraid we lost Riolu, too. Hunter J has taken Riolu and is probably meeting with the client as we speak," Kellyn said.
"That is awful!" Solana gasped.
"Yes, but all is not lost! Riolu is sending Sora some information on where they're going to meet," Kellyn said.
"First bit of good news all day," Solana said.
"Sora, can you get a lock onto where J is taking Riolu?" Tommy asked.
"Yeah, I can. Riolu is already sending it to me," Sora said, shutting his eyes. "Let's see. Wherever it is. It's really rocky. " He opened his eyes wide. "I know where they're going! They're in a canyon! That way!" Sora pointed in the direction J's ship had taken off.
"Are you sure?" Koji asked.
"I'm positive!" Sora said. Kairi checked the map app on her Rotom Phone and pinpointed the location.
"Sora's right! There is a canyon very close to here!" Kairi said.
"Did you get all that, Solana?" Kellyn asked.
"Every word of it. I'll inform headquarters at once and join you as soon as we can!" Solana said.
"Understood. Kellyn out," Kellyn said, cutting the transmission.
"Let's get down there!" Takuya said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. His Pokéball opened and his Camerupt emerged from inside. Takuya and Zoe got on Camerupt's back as Koji threw his Pokéball and let out his Arcanine. Koichi threw his Pokéball and let out his Luxray. Koji and Tommy got on Arcanine as Koichi and JP got on Luxray. Kellyn uses his Capture technique on a trio of Dodrio, allowing Sora, Kairi, Kellyn, Pikachu, and Angel to get on and aced off to the rescue.
"How is Riolu able to reach Sora even in J's grasp?" Tommy asked.
"It's because of Sora's aura! Like Riolu and Lucario can communicate with each other through aura, it's the same way with Sora and Riolu! That's how come Sora knows where to look! Sora touched Riolu's heart!" Kairi explained.
"That makes sense since Sora can use aura magic just like Tai said," Takuya said.
Deep in the canyon, J's ship makes its landing near some caves. J's second-in-command approaches J.
"The client will be arriving at any moment," J's second-in-command announced. J said nothing and stood up. They stepped out and the boss and his men arrived by van. They all stepped out with J's second-in-command holding Riolu, still a statue.
"I'm terribly sorry to keep you waiting, Hunter J," the boss said. J turned to her second-in-command and nodded.
"Right," J's second-in-command said, placing Riolu down. The boss ran up to and picked up Riolu.
"Yes! Riolu is mine at last!" The boss said.
"There you are!" Sora called out. Hearing Sora's voice, J, her henchmen, the boss, and his crew turned to see Sora, Kairi, Takuya, Koji, JP, Zoe, Tommy, Koichi, Kellyn, and the Pokémon above them.
"Them again!" J hissed.
"What?! A Pokémon Ranger?!" The boss exclaimed in anger.
"Riolu doesn't belong to you!" Kairi said.
"Riolu must return to the Lucario Kingdom, so give it back immediately or we'll take Riolu back by force!" Kellyn said.
"Never ! You will get nothing!" The boss said. Sora took out a Pokéball.
"They always choose the hard way," Sora said. He threw it. "Staravia! Go!" His Pokéball opened and Staravia came out from inside. "Aerial Ace!" Staravia dashed at the boss, hitting him and forcing him to drop Riolu. They come down to retrieve Riolu. J's second-in-command approached J.
"What do we do now?" J's second-in-command asked.
"We have our payment. We will take our leave. What happens after this point is none of our concern," J said.
"Sir!" J's second-in-command said. J and her thugs board the airship.
"J and her gang are heading inside!" Tommy said, noticing.
"Forget it, Tommy! Getting Riolu back is our main concern!" Koji said. One of the men took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Golem! Hyper Beam!" One of the men shouted, letting out his Golem. Golem fired a Hyper Beam, hitting the Dodrio Sora was riding on.
"Sora!" Kairi gasped.
"Are you okay?" Takuya asked.
"I'm okay," Sora assured.
"Boss!" The men said. The men ran up to their boss.
"I'm fine," the boss said. He ran up to Riolu and picked him. "I have a Riolu who can use Aura Sphere!" J's airship then began to take off. "We have Riolu, so let's go!"
"Sir!" The boss's henchmen said, heading for the van.
"Staravia! Cut the tires with Wing Attack!" Sora ordered. Staravia flew and slashed the tires with his wings, much to his annoyance.
"What?!" The boss exclaimed in anger.
"You're not going anywhere!" Sora said.
"Why you little pest! Get him!" The boss ordered. The men took out their Pokéballs and let out a Tyranitar, a Graveler, a Nidoking, and a Rhyhorn. Takuya, Koji, JP, Zoe, Tommy, and Koichi took their Pokéballs. Takuya has let Aguni, Magmar, Flareon, and Infernape. Koji has let out Manectric and Espeon. JP has let out Pinsir and Forretress. Zoe has let out Clefable, Togetic, and Sylveon. Tommy has let out Sneasel, Snorunt, Piloswine, Sandshrew, Glaceon, and an Abamasnow. Koichi has let out his Gengar, Houndoom, and Umbreon. Mime Jr and Munchlax joined in the fray as well. The boss let out his Fearow from inside as he laughed. "I'll leave them to you!"
"Riolu!" Sora called out.
Just then, Solana and Officer Jenny arrived to assist.
"Sora, Kairi, Kellyn, we'll take care of them! You go after that man!" Solana said.
"Understood!" Kellyn said.
"Okay," Sora said.
"We're on it!" Kairi said as she, Sora, Kellyn, Pikachu, and Angel boarded the Dodrio again and went after him.
"No, you don't! Rhyhorn! Drill Run!" One of the men ordered.
"Golem! Rollout!" The first man ordered.
"I don't think so! Sandshrew, Snorunt, Sneasel, Glaceon! Ice Beam!" Tommy ordered. Snorunt, Sneasel, Glaceon, and Sandshrew fired an Ice Beam, hitting them.
"Tyranitar! Use Hyper Beam!" Another man ordered. Tyranitar fired Hyper Beam.
"Camerupt! Earth Power!" Takuya ordered. Camerupt stomped on the ground, hitting Tyranitar.
"Rhyhorn! Flamethrower!" The second man ordered. Rhyhorn fired a Flamethrower.
"Arcanine! You use Flamethrower, too!" Koji ordered.
"You use Flamethrower as well, Houndoom!" Koichi ordered.
"Aguni, Camerupt, Magmar, Flareon, Infernape! Join right in!" Takuya ordered.
The Fire-types all fired Flamethrower, blocking Rhyhorn's attack.
"Forretress! Use Gyro Ball! Pinsir! Use Storm Throw!" JP ordered.
"Piloswine! Ice Fang!" Tommy ordered.
Forretress spins around with a Gyro Ball and struck Rhyhorn. Piloswine hits Rhyhorn with Ice Fang before Pinsir uses its horns to grab Rhyhorn and give Rhyhorn a toss.
"Clefable! Use Moonblast! Togetic, Sylveon! Fairy Wind!" Zoe ordered. Clefable unleashed a Moonblast as Sylveon and Togetic let out a Fairy Wind.
"Gengar! Shadow Ball! Luxray! Charge Beam!" Koichi ordered.
The Pokémon launched their chosen attacks at their opponents. Mime Jr uses a Psychic on Nidoking as Munchlax lands a Power-Up Punch onto Graveler. Solana does her part to capture a Trapinch who came up from underground. Trapinch was now captured.
"Trapinch! Use Rock Tomb!" Solana ordered as Trapinch unleashed a Rock Tomb, hitting some the Pokémon.
Up ahead, the boss is still holding Riolu in his arms and holding to his Fearow.
"Stop now!" Sora demanded. The boss saw Sora, Kairi, Kellyn, Pikachu, and Angel coming behind him.
"Huh?!" The boss exclaimed.
"Give Riolu back!" Kairi called out.
"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee!" Angel said. The boss growled in anger.
"Stubborn pests!" The boss said. Kellyn went on ahead as the Dodrio he's riding on ran on the wall, much to his surprise. "What the?!" Dodrio jumped on Fearow's back.
"Dodrio! Fury Attack!" Kellyn ordered. Dodrio hits Fearow by pecking at it, making Fearow and the boss fall. Sora, Kairi, Kellyn, Pikachu, and Angel got off of the Dodrio as he called back his Fearow.
"Give Riolu back!" Sora said.
"Riolu's mine! I'm not letting it out of my sights in a million years!" The boss said, grabbing Riolu and ran off.
"Get back here!" Sora called out.
"Stop!" Kairi added.
Back to the battle, the battle was still raging on.
"Clefable! Meteor Mash!" Zoe ordered. Clefable lands a hit with a Meteor Mash onto Tyranitar.
"Graveler! Sandstorm!" One of the men ordered.
"You too, Golem!" The man first man ordered.
"Abmasnow! Use Blizzard!" Tommy ordered. Abamasnow blew a powerful blizzard from its mouth, freezing the men and their Pokémon in place. Tommy grinned. "That's what you get for not dressing warmly in a fierce blizzard. Especially from an Ice-type!"
"Abanasnow!" Abamasnow roared.
"Way to go, Tommy!" Takuya said.
"Good work," Officer Jenny said as she approached the men. "All of you men are all under arrest!"
Inside the cave, the boss ran, knowing his pursuers were still following, so he came across a series of caverns.
"Damn! Which way do I go?" The boss asked. Knowing he didn't have time to make up his mind, he took out a Pokéball and threw t. "Aggron! Rock Smash!" His Aggron came out and began to smash the walls. The ceiling began to crumble and fall just when Sora, Kairi, Kellyn, Pikachu, and Angel were closing in on him. Kellyn spotted a wild Donphan, knowing what to do. "Capture on!" He does his thing right on Donphan. "Capture complete!" Donphan lets out a loud yell. "Donphan! Rollout!" Donphan rolled into the rocks to get through. The path was now open again, but they found that the caverns have been blocked with rocks, preventing them from following him.
"And we were so close!" Kairi said.
"It's not over yet," Sora said. He then made contact with Riolu through aura. He saw that the boss and his Aggron made it outside of the cave by destroying the wall. They walk out with Riolu. Riolu tells Sora where he is. Sora opens his eyes and points to the first cavern on the left. "There!"
"Rollout!" Kellyn ordered. Donphan charges right at the rocks, breaking their way through. They caught up with the boss.
"Stop right there!" Sora called out. The boss turned and saw them coming out.
"How did you figure out which way to go?!" The boss exclaimed.
"It was because Riolu told me," Sora said.
"Told you?!" The boss asked, finding it absurd.
"Riolu is going home!" Kairi stated.
"That's right! He is not anyone's property!" Sora said.
"Riolu is coming with us!" Kellyn said.
"So, this is your last chance! Give Riolu back!" Sora said.
"Never! Aggron! Double-Edge!" The boss ordered. Aggron charges right at them, so Sora quickly took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Lucario! Go!" Sora called out. Lucario came out to battle. "Use Bone Rush!" Lucario ran towards Aggron and smacked it with a Bone Rush.
"Donphan! Horn Attack!" Kellyn ordered. Donphan charges at Aggron with a Horn Attack. The Armor Pokémon rammed into the Iron Armor Pokémon.
"Angel! Iron Tail!" Kairi ordered. Angel jumped and lands an Iron Tail onto Aggron, hitting it.
"Pikachu! Volt Tackle!" Sora ordered. Pikachu ran towards Aggron and sends Aggron backwards. THe Iron Armor Pokémon fell right on the boss He drops Riolu. Sora caught Riolu in his arms and turns down the dial. Riolu smiled and hugged Sora. "I told you I'd help you, didn't I?" Riolu made his squeaks, knowing Sora made good on his promise. Aggron got up and the boss was angered.
"Riolu belongs to me! Aggron! Hyper Beam!" The boss ordered. Aggron fired a Hyper Beam and sends it right at them.
"Lucario! Aura Sphere!" Sora ordered. Lucario and Riolu sends out Aura Sphere, blocking Aggron's Hyper Beam. "Thanks, Riolu, but I can handle the rest from here." Riolu nodded. "Okay, Lucario! Use Bullet Punch!" Lucario dashed at Aggron with a Bullet Punch.
"Double-Edge!" The boss ordered. Aggron rammed into the Aura Pokémon, but it wasn't enough to bring Lucario down. "Use Rock Smash!" Aggron came right at Lucario with a Rock Smash.
"Force Palm!" Sora ordered. Lucario uses Force Palm onto Aggron, hitting the Iron Armor Pokémon and resulted in a paralysis. "Now, use Aura Sphere!" Lucario fired an Aura Sphere, hitting Aggron on the mark. Aggron fell right on the boss again. Kellyn approached the boss.
"You're busted," Kellyn said.
Meanwhile, J sat in her command chair as they make their escape.
"Any new missions?" J asked.
"None at this time, sir. The numbers of our clients continue to dwindle and dwindle. If this continues, there won't be any business left. And I doubt it would make any difference if we did acquire some new targets because there are not too many auctioneers to place any bids," J's second-in-command reported.
"Then, we must go into hiding once again. And then, we resurface as soon as we find some work," J said.
"Sir," J's second-in-command acknowledged, taking his leave. J scowled.
"I should have tried so much harder to burn that spiky-headed meddler to a crisp. My revenge on him and that silver-haired brat for ruining everything," J hissed.
Back with the group, Officer Jenny places her handcuffs on the wrists of the boss. At the same time, the old Pokémon Breeder, along with a young man and young woman came along. Riolu was happy to be reunited with the old man once again.
Officer Jenny starts reading him his rights, "You're under arrest for the kidnapping of a Pokémon, collaboration with a known Pokémon Hunter, the murder of a police officer, and crimes against the Lucario Kingdom. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you do say can and will be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, then one will be appointed to you by the courts. Do you understand these rights as I have read them to you?"
"Bite me!" The boss snarled. She pushes him inside and slammed the police truck.
"Thank you all for all you've done," Officer Jenny said.
"We can't take all the credit. It was Sora and his friends who saved Riolu from a terrible fate," Solana said.
"It weren't for them, then the mission would have been a failure," Kellyn said.
"We were more than happy to help," Sora said.
"The exploitation of any Pokémon is unforgivable. We're just glad everything worked out in the end," Kairi said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said.
"Eevee, vee," Angel said.
"Mime, Mime," Mime Jr said.
"Munchlax!" Munchlax said.
"Not only that, but since the first batch of Riolu's kidnappers have been arrested as well, Riolu can now go home without anything to worry about," Takuya said.
"I agree. On behalf of the people of the Lucario Kingdom, I thank you for rescuing our beloved Riolu from those evil people," the old man said.
"You're welcome," Sora said. He smiled as he took out the wooden doll. "Here, Riolu. This belongs to you." Riolu smiled and accepted it.
"Thank you, Sora. I know I will never ever forget you for what you did to save me," Riolu said through his aura.
"Me neither, Riolu," Sora said.
"Did Riolu talk to you through aura again?" JP asked.
"Yeah," Sora said.
"What did Riolu say to you?" Koichi asked.
"He was saying thanks and that he would ever forget me," Sora said.
"Sora has touched Riolu's heart like Kairi said," Zoe said.
"He just has that gift," Takuya said.
Now that the very special Riolu has been rescued from those who wishes to abuse his special gifts for their own evil ends, the future of an entire kingdom is now secured. Sora has touched the heart of Riolu and a new memory has been forged between the two of them, and there is nothing that can destroy it, not even Hunter J or the Heartless has that kind of power. And the journey through Sinnoh continues on.
