Episode 450: Pika and Goliath
We open up to Lucas as he searches the shrubs for a new Pokémon to catch. He spotted a Pichu plucking an apple from a tree.
"A Pichu," Lucas said, taking out his Rotom Phone and scanned it.
Pichu, the Tiny Mouse Pokémon
Type: Electric
Pichu has a tendency to let out electricity whenever it is surprised or scared. When it let out its electricity, Pichu ends up hurting itself in the process.
"Okay, Pichu is the pre-evolved form of Pikachu, so if I catch me a Pichu, I could get a Pikachu after evolving. And I'd get a Raichu through a Thunder Stone. Better catch that one before it either sees me or runs away," Lucas took out a Pokéball and threw it at Pichu, making it flow inside. The Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around to confirm the catch. Lucas's Pokémon Box goes off and it asks him if he wants to keep his new Pichu with him. He chose to keep his new Pichu in exchange for one of the other Pokémon with him. "Better go show Dawn."
Speaking of which, she held the egg as it began hatching.
"Oh! My egg is hatching!" Dawn exclaimed with glee.
"Piplup!" Piplup also exclaimed.
Dawn was getting all excited witnessing her egg about to hatch when Lucas showed up.
"Lucas, your timing couldn't be perfect! The egg's hatching!" Dawn said.
"No kidding?" Lucas asked he walked up. The egg then hatches and reveals itself to be a Togepi.
"Toge, Toge," the newborn Togepi chirped.
"Cool, it's a Togepi," Lucas said.
"Togepi, huh? Adorable," Dawn said, taking out her Rotom Phone and scanned it.

Type: Fairy
Happiness is stored in Togepi's shell, and it shares its happiness with kind-hearted people.
"Hi, Togepi. My name's Dawn," Dawn introduced herself to the Spike Ball Pokémon.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.
"When you're a little bit old enough, I'm gonna have you enter into Pokémon Contests. Just you wait," Dawn said.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.
And so, Dawn's newborn Togepi didn't have any problem fitting in.
Meanwhile, Sora and Kairi have taken out their Pokémon Boxes. Sora exchanged Snover and Stunky for the Hisuian Qwilfish as Kairi exchaned Drifblim and Chatot for Sligoo and Finneon. Sora decided to have his Hisuian Qwilfish evolve into an Overqwil after he saw his Hisuian Qwilfish knows Barb Barrage. Sora had his Buizel spar with
"Okay, Qwilfish! Barb Barrage!" Sora ordered. Qwilfish unleashed Barb Barrage and sends it right at the Sea Weasel Pokémon. "Okay, Buizel! Dodge that!" Buizel dodges Qwilfish's Barb Barrage. "That was great, Qwilfish! Barb Barrage again!" Qwilfish unleashed another Barb Barrage at the Sea Weasel Pokémon. "Water Pulse!" Buizel forms a water ball and sends out a Water Pulse right at Qwilfish. "Dodge that!" Qwilfish dodged it as Buizel began to evolve. Buizel has now become a Floatzel. "I was expecting Qwilfish to evolve, but I'll take it."
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"But an evolution is an evolution, Sora," Kairi said.
"You're tight about that, Kairi. He was already a powerhouse as a Buizel, but I wonder how much of power he'll have after evolving. Water Pulse!" Sora ordered. Floatzel sends out a Water Pulse and sends it right at Qwilfish. The Hisuian Balloon Pok3233mon. Qwilfish was knocked out. Sora helped Qwilfish up. "Okay, I didn't think that idea all the way through."
"Pikachu," Pikachu agreed.
"Here, let me heal you up," Sora said, summoning his Kingdom Key and heals Qwilfish with his cure spell. "We'll work on your evolution later. Right now, you get yourself a nice, long rest." Sora calls Qwilfish back. "Well, Lake Valor should be close to us by now."
"Well, we could get there by tomorrow by foot," Kairi said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel kept moving on right toward Lake Valor when they bumped into Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Lucas, Dawn, Volt, Maple, and Piplup.
"Hey, guys," Chase greeted.
"Riku, Ash, and the others aren't with you, are they?" Kairi asked.
"No, we just came across with you right now, so they should still be on their way there now," Elaine said.
"Eevee," Maple said.
"Or they could be already there by now," Brendan said.
"Well, either way, we promised the Master to meet her there," Lucas said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Lucas, Dawn, Pikachu, Angel, Volt, Maple, and Piplup paired up as they continue to head for Lake Valor.
A little while later, the group made a stop for a lunch break, so Pikachu and Angel were their own time alone.
"Aren't you glad we made a stop in this spot, Angel?" - Pikachu subtitle.
"Very glad, Pikachu. There so many flowers here and they're all so pretty." - Angel subtitle.
"Not as pretty as you, Angel Cake." - Pikachu subtitle Angel giggles as she like the pet name he gave her. Angel went and gave Pikachu some affetionate licks before she kissed him on the lips Pikachu kisses her back. He broke the kiss and went to pick a flower for her. Just when he went to pick the right one for her, a Pichu came around. Pichu grabbed the flower he was about to pick and ate it. "Hey, I was gonna pick that one!" - Pikachu subtitle.
"Tough rocks!" - Pichu subtitle. Pikachu couldn't understand why that little Pichu had such an attitude.
"What's your beef?" - Pikachu subtitle. Pichu didn't answer. It turned in the way it came.
"Pichu!" Pichu shouted. A boy with blue hair came out of the nearby bushes.
"Pichu! 'Sup, homeboy?" The boy asked.
"Pichu, Pichu!" Pichu said, pointing to Pikachu. He looked at what he was pointing at.
"Dig the Pikachu! Rad find, yo!" The boy said.
"Pikachu, Angel!" Sora called out. He found Pikachu found the Pokémon couple. "There you are. Kairi got finished making lunch and I came looking for you."
"Back off, Jack! Scratch for your own catch!" The boy snapped at Sora. He looked at him.
"What are you talking about? This is my Pikachu," Sora said.
The boy scoffed, "Yeah right!" He took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go time! Booyah!" His Pokéball opens up and his Raichu came on out. "Iron Tail, go!" Raichu comes at Pikachu with Iron Tail.
"Iron Tail!" Sora ordered. Pikachu swings at Raichu's Iron Tail to block it. He was impressed by Pikachu's strength.
"Wow, check that power! That's Pikachu's no untamed Pokémon, nope!" The boy said.
"What do you think I have been telling you? This is my Pikachu!" Sora said.
"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Chill out, yo, check it!" The boy said, taking out a Pokéball. "My Mareep for Pikachu, switch!"
"No," Sora quickly said. He took out two more Pokéballs.
"Then try this on! A Magneton and a Magnemite? We good?" The boy asked.
"Don't you get it? I said no!" Sora said.
"If he doesn't want to trade, you can't force him," Brendan said, walking in.
"Yeah, he's right! If you want a Pikachu, why not have your Pichu evolve?" Sora asked.
"No way! I'm working on getting all three Pikachu evolution, yo! If I made my Pichu evolve then I would have to go and find a Pichu, dig?" The boy asked.
"No, we don't dig," Sora said. "And if I were you, I would cut my loss and move on and find a Pikachu of my own."
"I could do that, but they're hard to find around here. So, how we battle? And winner keeps that Pikachu," the boy said.
"Forget it!" Sora dismissed him.
"Sup with that? My guys would all testify I'm being straight up. Or maybe your bailing beacuse you can't cut it," the boy said.
"He can cut it," Brendan said. "I know because I seen him in action."
"That's a joke, right? Germs like you give real mean a bad rap!" The boy taunted.
"Don't be so sure," Brendan said.
"How about I beat him, I'll deal with you, chump!" The boy said.
"Rai, Rai!" Raichu said.
"Sora, Pikachu, Angel!" Kairi called out to her boyfriend and the Pokémon. "It's time for lunch!"
"We can settle that after we eat," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu added. The boy blinked twice.
"Wait, seriously?" The boy asked.
"Seriously," Sora and Brendan both said.
The boy followed them to lunch and he waited for them to get done eating. Kairi looked right at him.
"You sure you don't want anything, Sho?" Kairi asked the boy.
"I'm cool!" Sho said.
"Pichu," Pichu said.
"Rai," Raichu said.
He kept on waiting for them to finish up eating their lunch. Once Sora had finished eating and Pikachu got ready for the battle with Sho.
"You done yet?" Sho asked.
"Yeah, I'm done," Sora said.
"Good!" Sho said. Raichu got revved up.
"Rai!" Raichu said.
"My Raichu says it's going downtown with a one-hit KO!" Sho said.
"Volt, watch the battle clearly," Chase told his Pikachu who nodded before seeing Sora's Pikachu versus Sho's Raichu.
"Pikachu! Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu dashed right at Raichu.
"You can't win by running all the way! Raichu! Thunder!" Sho ordered. Raichu fires Thunder at Pikachu. Raichu's Thunder misses him. "Say what?! Pikachu dodged that?!"
"Volt Tackle!" Sora ordered. Pikachu ran towards Raichu with a full force of his body with a trail of electricity following him.
"Please! I'll show you what a real Volt Tackle looks and feels like! Raichu! Volt Tackle!" Sho ordered. Raichu ran towards Pikachu with a Volt Tackle of its own. The two Mouse Pokémon collided with each other. Raichu sends Pikachu back against a rock. "Now come at Pikachu with Iron Tail!" Raichu swings its tail to strike at Pikachu.
"Quick Attack, but go around!" Sora called out. Pikachu runs around the evolved Mouse Pokémon. Raichu kept on missing its mark because of Pikachu's speed.
"Those outlined tricks ain't gonna work!" Sho taunted. Raichu smacked Pikachu hard with Iron Tail. "Big Bang boom!" Raichu sends Pikachu flying into the air. "Figure out where Pikachu is gonna land and use Volt Tackle!" Raichu comes at Pikachu with Volt Tackle.
"Iron Tail!" Sora called out. Pikachu swings his tail and uses it to block Raichu's Volt Tackle. He skids against. Pikachu lands on his feet.
"Volt Tackle one more time!" Raichu comes at Pikachu with another Volt Tackle.
"Wait and then jump!" Sora called out. Pikachu waited for Raichu to get closer. Pikachu jumps out of the way of Raichu's Volt Tackle once he got close enough. He growled in frustration.
"Iron Tail! Make it last!" Sho ordered. Raichu swings Iron Tail right at Pikachu to land a hit.
"Circle around!" Sora called out. Pikachu ran around Raichu and it tries to land a hit with Iron Tail. Sora grinned when he saw how tired Raichu was getting. "Quick Attack!" Pikachu darts at Raichu with a lightning fast Quick Attack.
"That amateur stuff is getting real old fast!" Sho hissed. "Yo, use Iron Tail!" Raichu jumped and swings its tail at Pikachu to land a hit.
"Dodge and use Iron Tail!" Sora called out. Pikachu avoids Raichu's Iron Tail and smacks his evolved form with an Iron Tail of his own.
"Use Thunder!" Sho ordered.
"Volt Tackle!" Sora called out. Pikachu ran towards Raichu with Volt Tackle and lands a successful hit. Raichu got back up and shook it off.
"See? Man, what a lightweight!" Sho said. "Use Hyper Beam!" Raichu pins Pikachu against a boulder and opens its mouth to fire Hyper Beam at Pikachu, hoping to finish him off.
"Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu unleashes Thunderbolt and it gets cut in half. Knowing Raichu won't be able to move right after using it, Sora had to finish this battle now. "Volt Tackle, followed by Iron Tail!" Pikachu ran towards Raichu with Volt Tackle. He then switches to Iron Tail, dealing some damage to him.
"I'm going to top you off! Use Volt Tackle!" Sho ordered. Raichu came at Pikachu with Volt Tackle.
"You use Volt Tackle, too!" Sora ordered. Pikachu and Raichu ran towards each other. When the two of them collided, they were evenly matched.
"What the?! Evenly matched?! But my Raichu should be all over Pikachu like a sunburn!" Sho said.
"I was able to beat a Raichu from a Gym Leader with my Pikachu and therefore there's more to battling than size, yo!" Sora said.
Sho, growled, "Time to put a cork in this bottle by using Iron Tail!" Raichu came at Pikachu with Iron Tail.
"You use Iron Tail!" Sora ordered. Raichu came at Pikachu with Iron Tail. They clash their tails like swords. Pikachu got hold of Raichu's tail with his own tail and began to swing it around.
"I'm seeing things!" Sho said. Pikachu gave Raichu a throw against a nearby tree. Raichu slams right into the tree and he fell right on the ground. He was stunned by what he was seeing.
"Hyper Beam!" Sho ordered. Raichu attempted to pin Pikachu down, but he wasn't having that.
"Use the energy from Hyper Beam!" Sora called out. Pikachu waited for Raichu to fire Hyper Beam and he jumped and curled into a ball and rolled. "Max power spin and Iron Tail!" Pikachu kept on rolling and lands a hit with Iron Tail. Raichu was at a loss for what was going on and he gets smacked hard by Iron Tail. Raichu had been taken down at last.
"No way! Raichu!" Sho exclaimed, even his Pichu was surprised.
"Pichu!" Pichu cried.
"Way to go, Pikachu!" Sora said. Pikachu smiled as he was praised by Sora. Sho and his Raichu went up to Sora.
Very far away from the group, Paul watched the battle from the bushes before walking away.
"I could bet that Raichu was weaker than Pikachu," Paul said in his thoughts, instead of thinking it was pure luck he judges the skills of Sho's Raichu.
Now back with the group.
"That was a badass battle, Sora. Your Pikachu rocks! Your whole crew do from what I've seen," Sho said.
"So, you finally admit it?" Sora asked.
"I didn't know your Pikachu was able to beat a Raichu from a Gym Leader, now after seeing the way you got a handle on your Pikachu, I can see how wrong I was. You're no noob!" Sho said.
"Well, I have been at this for a long time," Sora said.
With that settled, Sho had a change of heart and promised Sora to another battle. And he promised that he will be the one to win it the next time. Chase and Volt both watched the battle with amazement and awe.
"Wow, that was one of the most intense battles I have ever seen," Chase said.
"Pikachu!" Volt said.
"Chase?" May asked.
"I think watching that battle fired Chase up. It's hard to blame him," Elaine said.
"Eevee," Maple said.
"I feel like battling a Raichu myself," Chase said.
"Well, Kairi has a Raichu," Sora pointed out.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"And so does Brendan," May added.
"Cool! I can battle one of you by using Volt!" Chase said.
"Pika, Pika!" Volt said.
"Well, I can be your opponent if you want, Chase. In fact, let's have that battle within one hour," Brendan said.
"You got yourself a deal, Brendan," Chase said, shaking hands.
With that said, Brendan and Chase started to train for the match between the two. Brendan had his Raichu brought over in exchange for his Houndour. After an hour of training, Brendan and Chase have gotten into position for battle.
"You ready to do this?" Brendan asked.
"Let's do this, Volt!" Chase told him.
"Pika!" Volt said before entering the battle.
"Go, Raichu!" Brendan said as he called out his Raichu.
"Start up with Zippy Zap!" Chase ordered and Volt dashed right towards his evolved form with lightning speed.
"We'll use Quick Attack! Raichu! Go!" Brendan ordered. Raichu ran and collides with Pikachu.
"Volt! Use Thunderbolt!" Chase ordered.
"Raichu! Use Thunder!" Brendan ordered. Volt and Raichu both use their electric attacks and they block each other.
"Use Iron Tail!" Chase ordered. Volt jumps to use Iron Tail at Raichu.
"Raichu! Use Reflect!" Brendan ordered. Raichu makes a clear barrier and Volt's Iron Tail bounces off.
"Now use Splishy Splash!" Chase ordered and Volt used the electrical tidal wave attack to hit Raichu
"Now, it's time to let out Raichu's strongest move! Use Volt Tackle!" Brendan ordered as Raichu comes at Volt with a powerful electric charge.
"Use Floaty Fall to dodge and attack!" Chase ordered and Volt used said move which allowed him to dodge the opposing attack and hit Brendan's Raichu. "Now use another Zippy Zap!"
Volt used said move which hit Brendan's Raichu.
"Use Thunder!" Brendan ordered and Raichu used Thunder.
"Dodge it and use Iron Tail!" Chase ordered and Volt used Iron Tail which hit Raichu.
"Keep your head in the game, Raichu! Thunder!" Brendan ordered.
"Now use Pika Papow!" Chase ordered and Volt unleashed his more powerful Electric-type move which hit and knocked out Brendan's Raichu. Chase had won the match. Brendan was shocked at first, but he smiled.
"Not bad, Chase. That was awesome. I remember how hard you worked to make it to the Pokémon Stadium Cup's finals," Brendan said.
"Thanks, Brendan. I had a thrill battling you," Chase said.
"So did I," Brendan said. Brendan's Raichu shook hands with Volt and smiled.
After the battle between Brendan and Chase, Brendan healed his Raichu of its injuries before sending Raichu back to his father's lab before they continue to head their way toward Lake Valor. When they arrived, they saw how beautiful the lake looked. Lucas and Dawn told them about how it reminded them of Lake Verity, so they head for the Pokémon Center where they saw Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Lea, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Wes, Rui, Kanako, Michael, the DigiDestined, Rei, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, and Marill waiting for them.
"Good of you to come, my apprentices," Rei said.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, Master," Sora said.
"No apologies necessary, Sora. Now that everyone is here, there's someone here who wishes to see you," Rei said.
"Someone wants to see us, Master? Who?" Kairi asked.
"It's a surprise. All of you come," Rei said, gesturing to her apprentices to follow her. They do comply with their master. When the DigiDestined started to follow her, she raises her hand. "I'm sorry, but this is a Keyblade wielder matter. This does not concern you," Rei said.
"You're kidding, right?" Yolei asked, annoyed.
"I'm sure there's a reason for it, Yolei. There could be things that we shouldn't even know about," Joe said.
"That is correct, Joe. I don't want to add you into any more complicated situations. Now, apprentices, come with me," Rei said. Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Lea, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Lucas, Dawn, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, Marill, Volt, Maple, and Piplup followed Rei, leaving Kanako behind.
"Aren't you going with them, Kanako?" Kari asked.
"I could, but I'm not her apprentice, so it's none of my business," Kanako said.
"What about Lea? He's not a Keyblade wielder," Davis pointed out.
"He's the only exception to the rule," Kanako said.

As a reminder, I planned to do a sequel to Pokémon: Sora and Kairi's Journey: Journey Through the Worlds after I got it done, so this is kinda foreshadowing it, so I'll do a single chapter in a different fic like I did with the others, but I'll get the details down in that. The very next chapter will be focusing in a Pokémon Contest coming up. So, I thought I would call it the Lisia Cup instead of the Wallace Cup since she's a top contest idol, and you can imagine how surprised she'll be to see her old friends again and meeting some new friends, too.
