Some1call4MR-E: Lol Females are just as horny XD
merendinoemiliano: Thanks
Bloodshot (Guest): It certainly will. I've been looking forward to this arc.
Geyser: Indeed it was done for the greater good for Asgard. I'm sure she'd do something much more lewd if it meant saving Asgard.
Terrorbyte: Yes Cadmus has returned and been fleshed out.
EP522: No. I won't do a harem for many reasons. 1. He has no desire for one like Issei. 2. I doubt I can write a good harem.
Black Paladine (Guest): No it won't be. I have plans for Tobias.
White Warrior (Guest): It will be a good start for the boy's but it may make time to strengthen that bond.
Humiliated.

Those were the black thoughts of Cadmus as he sat in his bedroom since that fateful duel against Thor Odinson. Before facing Thor, he had prayed many times to Zeus, Athena, and Ares to give him strength but he still lost. Afterwards he wondered time and time again why his prayers were not answered until he learned that due to being Einherjar of Asgard he could not pray to other Gods. This deeply hurt the former human for he always prayed to the Gods of Olympus since childhood. His family were not Christinas but Hellenics, followers of the Olympian Gods, and each generation never wavered from their faith to them even in the ancient times when Christianity was overtaking the old religion.
Days passed and all Cadmus would leave his room for was food. He never spoke to anyone or returned to the Academy to learn, which he never did even before the duel. For him his life was over, he was stuck in Asgard doomed to face the insults he knew were being talked about behind his back. He could no longer pray to the Gods and worse yet never see his family who he knew must be grieving for his death.
He had no hope until she came into his life.
Rota.
Cadmus had bullied and insulted so many he didn't know who Rota was but he listened to her talk to him and set food outside his door. Then it happened again and again until it became a regular routine. Each day Rota would share what she did, tell a joke, but mostly share knowledge of the Norse World since he was now an Einherjar and would need to know about it. His surprise of learning how Thor's sacrifice caused great repercussions on the Nine Realms was genuine. Limited trade, fractured alliances, a great debt, and many Gods dead were stuff Cadmus had no knowledge about until Rota shared it. A part of him enjoyed Rota's company but the other half couldn't help wondering what reason she had doing this.
Today when Rota came to his door she brought with her the man who humbled him, Thor. He listened to Rota explain the God of Thunder needing help on a mission and that she hoped Cadmus could join to redeem himself in the eyes of Asgard. Was that true, could one mission change Aesir's view of him? He doubted but it would be a start and let him see who Rota was. He had sat in his room all day wondering what he should do until Rota came to his room again after school.
"Cadmus." She said, "I really do hope you consider the offer to help us. I know you lost against Thor but you nonetheless fought valiantly. Evening managing to wound him, a feat many were impressed by. I know your skills will be of great value to us for the mission. If you truly wish to come meet us outside the front of Valhalla."
Cadmus bit his lip and, unable to keep his thoughts to himself, grabbed the door knob and opened the door. Standing in the hallway was the girl who had been talking to him for months. He stared at Rota's curvy yet toned figure, shoulder length green haired, and matching eyes. He didn't say it aloud but she was beautiful to look upon.
Her hair and eyes remind me of the foliage of Greece. He thought before saying in a calm tone, "Is it true or are you lying to lift my spirits?"
There was silence and then Rota answered, "It is true. Every word of it. Many in Valhalla were impressed by your skills but not your attitude. You will make a great Einherjar, Cadmus, but a bad friend with your bullying. I want to give you a second chance if you'll let me. I hope you can do the same with Asgard."
The Greek Einherjar watched Rota until she disappeared around the corner then retreated back into his room. He knew Asgard hated him for how he treated them but Rota offering him a second chance after all he did left him speechless. He expected to live the rest of his life in this room but that changed when Rota showed him compassion from which he received knowledge and fellowship. Would that fellowship continue if he refused aiding Thor? Would helping Thor change Asgard's view of him?
Asgard had given him a second chance at life and he repaid it with cruelty leading to his current situation of being hated and alone. Rota's compassion and honesty had been like the warmth of a fire in his black heart, banishing the negative emotions to let his remorse seep through the cracks of light. Rota had done so much and sitting here while she was away on a possible dangerous mission would be a poor repayment to her.
Making his decision he rushed back into the bathroom to shower again. After that he ran around his room gathering clothes and bathroom supplies to stuff them into a bag that he realized after lifting it was overpacked. Nevertheless, he steeled himself, and ran out of Valhalla passing Einherjar who started in startled surprise as he hastily ran across the field toward the front of the academy. Soon he could see Thor, Rota, and a violet haired girl gathered together with a teleportation circle beneath their feet.
As he doubled his pace he gathered air in his lungs to yell as loud as he could to get their attention. His cry succeeded in getting their attention; each giving him a different expression; Rota was happy, Thor surprised, and the violet haired girl was Sigrun disgusted.
"Cadmus." Rota said again when he reached them, "You…you came out of Valhalla."
"Yeah." He said, still panting. It was a hard run with the pack on his back but he made it in time. Looking between the three he opened his mouth to apologize but was cut off by the God of Thunder stepping forward and asking if he was committed to helping find someone's treasure.
So Rota was asking for his help on a treasure hunt. He half expected something far more dangerous than this but he was content with it. At least his first mission would be something easy. When Thor asked him again if he was committed he answered without hesitation, he was committed. He will help Thor, for Rota's sake and their friendship.
Hlidskjalf
Cadmus gazed in awe at the great palace Thor teleported them too, he had seen it in the distance but seeing it this close was breathtaking. He silently followed Thor up the stairs and through the front door, down three hallways, up another flight of stairs, and another long hallway until coming to another set of doors leading into a great library were thousands of books holding knowledge of history, science, tales, and adventures, were shelved. The few people inside gaped in wonder at the new arrivals Cadmus noticed they were ignored for Thor's attention focused on meeting someone. That someone was soon revealed to be the silver haired woman he insulted to duel Thor. She was sitting at a table with many piles of books all around her while she scanned through one open in front of her.
Cadmus shifted uncomfortably, he was sure her reaction would be like the violet haired girl who he heard gasp. Curious at the reaction he turned to glance at her to see wonder fill her eyes. By her reaction it seemed this was the first time the two were meeting.
"Rossweisse." Sigrun breathed before addressing Thor, "You didn't tell me she was joining us for the mission."
Thor grinned, "I wanted to surprise you."
Sigrun smiled, "All my life I wanted to meet the woman I admired and now that chance has come thanks to you, Thor."
Rossweisse lifted her head when hearing the two talk about her. Aqua eyes scanned the group lingering on Cadmus who shifted under her gaze. She had a neutral expression but he could tell she was judging him.
"Find anything?" Asked Thor.
Rossweisse's gaze turned to Thor and shook her head, "No. I've searched through so many books and no mention of any dragon named Gaasy."
A dragon named Gaasy? Wait. Thor mentioned something about the treasure being Fafnir's. Who was that again? Cadmus wondered.
"I assume," Said Rossweisse scanning the group, "These are who you have gathered for the mission?"
"Yes." Answered Thor.
"Even him?" The scorn in her tone made Rota step forward.
"He's here on my account." Said Rota, drawing all eyes to her, "I asked him to help us to earn our trust back."
"To earn our trust back?" Repeated Sigrun eyed Cadmus with distrust, "I don't think I can trust someone who decides to bully someone to pick a fight."
Cadmus' eyes were downcast as he mumbled, "I'm sorry."
"A simple sorry won't be enough to win my trust back but since you are here to help I hope it will be of use."
"He will, Sigrun!" Rota reassured, "I'm willing to give Cadmus a second chance. I hope you all can too."
"If he is serious about this then he will have to return to the academy and catch up on what he has missed." Sigrun said, doubtful about her fellow Valkyries words.
"Well since Cadmus is here, we should tell him everything." Said Rossweisse before explaining to the Einehrjar why they were gathered, and what the treasure was for, and why she was here in the library.
Now the Greek Einherjar understood why this treasure hunt was important; they needed to find Fafnir's hoard to pay off Asgard's debt to Nidavellir. Their only clue was a dragon named Gassy and Rossweisse as having no luck finding one with that name. Gaasy was a strange name for a dragon, even for a nickname.
"Unfortunately, there are still many books to research." Rossweisse said, exhaustion slipping into her tone, "This could take days if not months."
"Between the five of us we may be able to find something about whoever Gaasy is." Cadmus reasured.
So Thor, Rota, Cadmus, and Sigrun spread out in the library gathering as many books about other mythological dragons as they could. Hoping beyond hope that somewhere in one of these books would be the answer they seek.
Five days later
As promised Cadmus returned to the academy and was greeted with shock and scorn by everyone save the teachers who continued tutoring him. The Greek Einherjar was very busy, listening to lectures, catching up on homework, and going to the library which he was doing again with Rota, Thor, and Sigrun. The four of them had spent their afternoons searching for information on Gaasy and still no luck. Poor Rossweisse was looking worse for wear for not sleeping the last four nights for she was just as determined as the rest of them to find this dragon. When he got back to the table he found Rossweisse fast asleep with many books piled about her.
Really she should have been sleeping rather than reading all night. He said to himself, careful not to wake her as he sat down to read. Eventually one of them would stumble upon a dragon with the name Gaasy, they just had to keep looking. They had tried, Hindu, Egyptian, Chinese, Irish, and even extinct Pantheons, like Slavic and Sumarian, but not one of them had any dragons named Gassy. Perhaps the book he was about to read would have such a name for this book had a religion that none of them had looked into yet.
It was called Leif Erikson and Vinland; knowledge of the American religion.
He knew Vinland was a settlement in America the Vikings formed but did not know how long it had lasted nor what they learned of the people and their religion, that would change today. Opening the book he began reading thoroughly through it for any sign of someone called Gaasy. Frustrated at finding nothing, he went to the appendix and found a chapter about creatures. Jumping to the chapter he read through it and still nothing about a Gassy.
I thought for sure the Native American Faction would have something about Gaasy. Hmm it says after Leif became an Einherjar he was given permission to continue exploring America and Canada to bring more knowledge for Odin. He kept reading and his eyes widened as a plan began to form from what he learned about Leif. When the others returned and Rossweisse awoke he cleared his throat to speak, "I think I might have found a clue."
"What is it?" Said Sigrun and Rota together.
"Leif Erikson. He may be able to help us."
Rossweisse's tired eyes lit up at the name, "The Norse man who discovered America?"
"The very same. I had a hunch that maybe we should try looking for religions to the west and came across this book about him and the Native American religion. When he became an Einherjar Odin allowed him to continue his travels through America and even Canada to give the Allfather more knowledge."
Thor exchanged looks with the warrior maidens before saying, "Cadmus, are you suggesting the North American Faction has a Dragon?"
"Well why not? There are tons of tribes and surely even they must have a dragon or two in one of the tribes. If they still live."
"And will Erikson help us if we ask?" Rota asked the next question, pride swelling inside her at Cadmus' plan.
"It's worth a try."
Thor stood up, determination in his eyes, "Then off we go to Valhalla."
When they arrived at Valhalla the young warriors were given an astonishing revelation; Leif Eirkson did not live in Valhalla. Where he dwelled now could only be answered by the Allfather. While frustrated at needing to go back to Hlidskjalf, Thor led his team back all the way to the throne room were Odin was currently in a conversation with Vidar, Freyr, and Azazel.
"Thor? What is the meaning of this?" Vidar asked, surprised at his brother interrupting the meeting.
"The meaning, brother, is that I need a question answered by the Allfather. Where does Leif Eirkson live?"
Wonder came into Azazel's eyes, "The Viking who found America before Columbus?"
"The very same," Said Odin, "So it is through Erikson you wish to find another clue to who Gaasy is? Very well. I give you all, even you Cadmus, permission to speak with Leif Eirkson. However, you will have to go to America to find him."
"Why America?" Sigrun asked.
"Because as a reward for his service I allowed him to live anywhere and he chose that country. Where exactly he settled down in I do not know. No, I will not have my ravens or Heimdall search for him. They have other duties. You chose to take up this task of finding Fafnir's treasure and I cannot always be there to help you."
Not long afterwards
"I always thought my trips to Midgard would be Scandinavian. Yet here I am preparing to go to America of all places." Said Sigrun pacing back and forth in the parlor they went to.
"It's an experience all of us are looking forward to." Said Rota eagerly, sitting next to Cadmus who had a bag of snacks with him, "Hopefully will be able to find him."
Rossweisse exhaled a long yawn before saying, "If Leif knows something about Gaasy will be one step closer to finding the treasure."
"More importantly," Said Thor, who stood at the balcony looking out over Asgard, "We will need to be weary when going to America. It is fully under the sway of the Biblical Faction so there will be millions of Church spies and warriors lurking about along with possibly a hundred or thousand Devils claiming territory for themselves."
"What about the Fallen Angels?" Asked Cadmus.
"What about them?" Asked Rossweisse.
"Can't Azazel send a Fallen Angels or human agent or two to aid us?"
The silver haired Valkyrie pondered the question for a moment before replying, "I will talk to him about it before we leave. Speaking of which, when should we go?"
"I want to go as soon as possible." Said Thor, "But I think we all need a goodnight sleep. Especially you, Rossweisse. No, I won't have you going on this mission lacking sleep." He added when he saw her begin to protest.
"I agree." Sigrun said, "We should all be well rested for tomorrow."
"Yes," Said Thor turned away from the balcony and stared at Cadmus, "But first I have something to say to you, Cadmus."
The three girls stared at the Aesir and Einherjar wondering what the prince would say.
"You said you are determined to help us in this treasure hunt. You have taken your first steps in it by coming up with this plan to find Leif Eirkson. That means you cannot go back."
"I don't intend to." Cadmus replied, "I want to make things right between me and Asgard."
"Then you have a long way to go in that task. However," And here he paused to extend his hand towards Cadmus, "helping us find Fafnir's treasure is a good start. I may not fully trust you like Rota but in time that may change."
Cadmus took the God of Thunder's hand and shook it firmly, "May that day come soon."
Rota smiled proudly, knowing that convincing Cadmus to help was the right decision to make.
The next day
Unable to sleep, Cadmus awoke at the break of day and chose to get his blood pumping by performing a series of exercises before showering, eating, and heading to the armory to pick out a good set of armor and weapons to use. It had been a grueling five days but at long last they finally had a lead on where they may find Fafnir's treasure. If it led to a deadend he would, as he vowed to Thor in the parlor, take full responsibility for messing up. Nevertheless, he had a hunch it would lead in the right direction and his hunches usually never went wrong. Afterall, it was one of those very hunches that led him to Valhalla.
Strapping the sword to his side he grabbed a sturdy spear, After securing the helmet upon his head, he looked himself over in the mirror. He looked like a regular Viking ready to go on raid with his clan. Catching the door opening in the mirror he spun around and found Rota entering, she was wearing a gray jacket and tan shorts.
"Rota?"
"Good morning to you too, Cadmus. I see you have your weapons and armor ready. Though I must say," She added with a laugh, "I think the humans will find it strange to see someone walking around ready for a medieval battle." The blush Cadmus gave made the green haired girl laugh more, "Come here, Cadmus. Let me teach you about clothing manipulation."
As the Valkyrie showed the Einherjar how to switch clothes and store weapons into a pocket dimension, it reminded Cadmus of last night were Rota insisted on walking him back to Valhalla from the palace to show him Asgard and boy was it worth it. He truly had been a fool locking himself away in his room for missing out on so many amazing things in the kingdom of the Aesir. When this treasure hunt was over he would be sure to go explore more with Rota.
After practicing three times, for Cadmus was a quick learner, Rota led him out of Valhalla where the others were waiting. By that time it was five till nine which Thor insisted they leave at. Soon they teleported outside the Bifrost and then gathered inside waiting for Heimdall to open it to wherever he would foresee them going.
Cadmus was left speechless by the Bifrost's magnificent colors before being nudged by Rota to follow Thor through into the tunnel. The Greek could not help himself from looking about as he flew through the tunnel. All seven colors of the rainbow swirled about them for what seemed to be a good minute or two before feeling his feet touch the ground. He looked around to find himself in an old rundown building which surprised him greatly.
"Where are we?" He couldn't help asking.
"Why the greatest country in the world." Sigrun said sarcastically as she looked out a window lashed by rain and hail.
Cadmus looked out another window to see they were in a bustling city assaulted by a heavy rain storm. Here and there he could see the flags on staff and poles flying in the wind, they were striped red and white with fifty white stars on a blue square.
"Welcome," Said Rota, "To America."
At last we finally come back to Midgard to start the treasure hunt! I hope you all are just as excited as I am for this arc. See you all next time!
